seeing ppl say that dabi’s an emotionless sociopath just bc he says he is is actually annoying af to me 😭 like r u rlly gonna say the guy who thought so hard abt the families of the ppl he’s killed he went crazy, went berserk when twice died, and literally burned himself to death BC he was so emotional that his father didn’t come to see his quirk’s development is unemotional just bc he says he is? cmon babes be for fucking real 😭
#and bc ik there r counterarguments to the examples i listed:#1) he said that out loud to himself while wiping blood away from his eye scar which is used to symbolise his tears since he cant cry#so no it’s not him lying or faking it or acting. it’s dabi thinking out loud and expressing his feelings#in a scene btw that wasn’t necessary to that arc’s plot or anything - horikoshi decided to put it in for a different reason then#(perhaps to show the audience that just bc dabi says he’s emotionless doesn’t actually mean he is. but what do i know)#2) yeah he said he’s upset abt twice’s death bc it affects him negatively. but that doesn’t make sense#why high-five him then? that wasn’t necessary - u can argue it boosts twice’s morale but to do what? escape from hawks & help the plf?#twice has plenty of motivation to do that - he already was! so why else? throwing a dog a bone? dabi’s not the type to do that and even if#he was that implies some sort of pity or fondness which also disproves the emotionless thing#not only that but his reaction when twice died was not a ‘fuck i just lost a useful tool for my plan’#that was someone in the anger stage of grief and going mad w it#also we legit saw dabi’s touya reveal & it was obv not a plan he’d adjusted or created in the time btwn twice’s death and that moment#same 4 the video#and i mean we see dabi fight endeavor & shouto and he does all that alone - none of the plf help#if he doesn’t let the rest of the league help him then why woild twice have been the exception? and actually why would the guy who#told deku to stay out of the todoroki family’s business and didnt tell the league his identity til he revealed it to everyone want someone#else’s help??#it doesn’t make sense - more likely that dabi was mourning a friend/ally and emotional enough and he came up w a shitty excuse bc of it#3) i mean it’s basically canon that he lost control of his flames BC he was so emotional#and there r plenty more examples i just chose those 3 bc they’re bigger ones#but burning down toga’s family home burning down the orphanage returning to the todoroki family home in the first place etc#trying to inflict as painful a death as he could on hawks etc#all displays of emotion and shit#and tbh i could prbly argue that his constant reiteration that he’s a sociopath who doesn’t feel anything is all bluster and bullshit to#make himself be thought of as worse than he is bc itd hurt enji’s rep even more#i have more to say but u get the picture#if i see one more piece of dabi hate calling him emotionless and sociopathic im going to start biting#todoroki touya#dabi#me

Tomura Shigaraki 's abuse and neglect under All for One
Tumblr media
I've decided to make this post due to the fact AFO's abuse towards Tomura is often ignored and even denied, so I'll be bringing a collection of scenes that prove he was being severally neglected during the 15 years he lived with AFO
1- Malnourishment and Underweight
At the beginning of the story Tomura used to be very skinny, his spine visible, very accentuated collar bones.
We can't see if his ribcages are exposed too since he's always dressed, but we can tell he is abnormally skinny and thin.
Some theorize AFO's purposefully keeps him in this state so he's more weak and frail similar to Yoichi. Or so it adds to his tiredness and numbness.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He's also been shown randomly struggling before (it could've been the aftershock of Stain attack, i don't know)
Tumblr media
2- Lack of hygiene
He literally lives in pure filth, trash bags, old soda cans, paper, boxes, packages of food that seems ordered other than homemade, it lingers all over his floor, he is clearly a hoarder
It's completely different of the kept and clean bar, and now before you say "That's Tomura's responsibility, he's an adult he should clean it himself!" just think for a minute, if you had a son, that you see as your heir, and bets on their future so much,If you truly cared about them and saw they felt into a hoarder mindset, wouldn't you at least help?
Why not even Kurogiri cleans if Tomura was being cared by him? This clearly is intentional neglect, specially to keep his mood constantly down.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3 - His teeth
Tomura canonically has crooked teeth (compare his teeth to the other's in the jump festa art), cavities or at least what looks like plaques or dirt all over his teeth.
For someone raised by someone as filthy rich as AFO, he should've had access to dental care
Tumblr media Tumblr media
4- Shaggy hair
His hair looks un-brushed, shaggy and dirty, which had no reason for before MVA when he became homeless, so why even at the start? How long has he taken a bath or a shower?
Tumblr media
Look at the blatant difference in this scene after he showered at the PLF mansion
Tumblr media
5- Unkept, ragged and broken nails
despite his hands also being very skinny, his nails are also all rough and broken Now, I know Tomura isn't a kid to have someone cut his nails for him, but this implies he was never teached how to take care for himself.
Besides of course his clear symptoms of depression and suicidal idealism, which, are very obvious, All for One IS neglecting Tomura by keeping him in that state /knowing/ he isn't being capable of taking care of himself.
Tumblr media
6- His bedroom
First of all: No windows
Second, notice how empty it used to be, he had nothing but a bed and a desk, but right as he committed his first murder he started to receive toys, AFO is lovebombing and manipulating him to kill more
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
7- The obvious neglect to his pain
Notice how every time Tomura panics or is even wounded, he is just ignored and left on the floor bleeding out, puking or writhing.
Which uh- it isn't normal to watch your kid writhe in the floor while smiling and monologuing
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
8- 24/7 Surveillance and lack of privacy
There are cameras everywhere, AFO spends most of the time watching Tomura, even in his own bedroom, and even talks to him, Tomura probably hasn't had any privacy ever since he was 5
Which is a sign of abuse and control
Tumblr media Tumblr media
His entire childhood from 5 to 20 is often relatable for people who grew in cult like environments, and homeschooled children who grew under controlling parents, despite the abuse not being as "obvious" since AFO never directly physically hurt him, the neglect and psychological torture is still there, that and more all the manipulation, gaslighting and grooming (think of Mother Gothel from Tangled as an example of this type of abuser)
By the way, talking about it
9- Gaslighting
"but wasn't /you/ who desired my power?"
Tumblr media
The entire body possession plot is a clear evidence AFO never saw Tomura as anything other than a toy to play with, the same way he saw Yoichi, but so many people say the possession was a retcon because "early afo cleared saw him as his heir, he even said it's all for him!"
Well, argue with the literal "he's the next me", while he is.... weirdly caressing the screen while he watches his kid with no privacy- 100% creep behavior
Tumblr media
10- AFO's bizzare behavior towards Tomura
The way All for One's hands are often shown caressing him or encasing him somehow, which yeah, it's part of the symbology of Tomura's character (hands that can both hurt and save)
But knowing AFO represents /hurt/ and, you know, i'ts kinda weird to caress the kid you kidnaped off the streets like that-
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cuz yes! Picking kids from the street even if they are orphan is illegal!! You should take them to a police station instead :D
Tomura was KIDNAPED by AFO, not saved.
11- Proof Tomura doesn't /feel/ saved
During his fight against Bakugou, when he sees him being helped, besides being "broken" he starts to spiral on "why no one saved me even before i was broken?"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The visual including the granny that ignored him on the streets
AFO broke him.
Tumblr media
He recurrently thinks back to when he was on the streets, even though he was already traumatized, and had already killed his family, he still had /hope/ he ADMITS he believes he could've been different if it wasn't for AFO
If AFO had truly saved him,he wouldn't think like this
12- AFO gifting Tomura the corpses of his family to intentionally keep him nauseated, uncomfortable and traumatized, so he never heals
Tumblr media
Besides their weird placements- On a kid. the gangster's hands being in his chest...
Tumblr media
13-AFO's intentional desire for Tomura's discomfort
If this entire thread didn't make it obvious already, All for One benefits of Tomura's tiredness, ill feelings, nausea, depression and suicidal mindset, and over all physical and psychological discomfort
This ensures he's submissive to his manipulations and orders, keep him feeling hatred and anger due to constant overwhelming feelings and makes it harder for him to think of why AFO does all of it at all.
Tumblr media
I could go even deeper than this about it, but i've reached thread limit and am lazy, so I hope you enjoyed this thread!
Thank you for reading

I've been thinking a lot lately about how Dabi feels post dance and the Paranormal Liberation War in regards to losing Twice and Compress all in the same day.
Obviously he's ecstatic that he finally got to reveal himself, got to see his father face the consequences of his neglect, and tell the whole world about what a piece of shit the Number One hero is to his own family.
But after those scenes, despite all the recent promotional art of him smiling, he doesn't actually seem happy. In some cases it even seems like he's doing worse mentally.
We missed out on a lot in not getting to see how the remaining League members feel immediately after that battle. We don't even get to see Shigaraki acknowledge losing Twice and Compress, if he even knows what happened to them with AFO trying to take him over.
All we really get are these panels when AFO is breaking other villains out of prisons around Japan. And he and Spinner just look so exhausted.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dabi is clearly upset about losing Twice given his confrontation with Hawks, but after that we don't see him talk about it at all. We do see him with this look when Compress brings up that he believes Twice died, but Dabi doesn't even mention that he was there with him in his final moments.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He just immediately switches gears and decides to focus all of his energy into hunting down Endeavor, kickstarting his plans for revenge much earlier than he expected.
The only other time we see him mention Twice is this moment with Toga (this scene is also the only time we see him smile post reveal and before the war).
Tumblr media
We get even less when it comes to Mr. Compress, even though Dabi seemed the closest to him out of everyone in the League. Nothing gets said at all about him. Compress helps Dabi escape and tucks him away with Spinner before he sacrifices himself for them. But I don't think Dabi knew what Compress was really doing, that he wouldn't be coming back with them.
I also don't think the world had the reaction Dabi was hoping for after releasing his reveal video. Sure some people lost faith, and there was a press conference, but ultimately Endeavor didn't face any consequences. It confirmed what Dabi already knew, that nobody cares and heroes will continue to get away with anything in this society.
After this, in the few scenes he's in before the war, he just has blank stares.
Tumblr media
Or he's annoyed that AFO isn't letting him go after Endeavor immediately.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He doesn't care about taking down the world, or AFO's plans, he's just impatient to kill his father and ultimately himself. Like Shoto said, he's been ready to die from the start. And I think losing the people he was closest to in the League only exacerbated his fatalistic mindset.
With Twice dead, Compress in prison, Shigaraki being possessed, and with what happened to Spinner, it's really just him and Toga left. He doesn't have a reason to really stick around for anyone anymore.
Which just makes me wonder if he blames himself. He's the one who brought Hawks in after all. If it wasn't for that, Twice and Compress might still be around, they might still have their base, their army. They lost everything, and he's partially to blame.
He's been deemed a failure since he was a child, by Endeavor, by AFO after his three-year coma. And then he failed in protecting the League, in judging how much of a threat Hawks actually was. He only brought Hawks in once they had formed the PLF. He thought with numbers behind them Hawks couldn't touch them when/if he turned on them. And he definitely didn't think that Hawks would actually kill anyone. But he was wrong.
In the end, he got exactly what he wanted, but I don't think he ever expected that the League would pay the price for it. Along with everything with his family, he might think that he deserves to die for what happened. For failing the people closest to him one last time.

Actually, now I'm thinking about it, it's odd to me that Midoriya and Uraraka look similar and maybe that's on purpose.
Round eyes & face
Facial marks (Freckles for Midoriya, blush stickers for Uraraka)
"Brunette" (green hair is considered being a brunet/te in anime logic)
Shorter than the others
Now given that, what if Uraraka "falling in love" with Midoriya wasn't her actually falling in love? What if it was her having a self-reflection and accepting herself?
Further thinking about it... they're practically the same person.
They're both compassionate, kind. They learn to adapt to changes. They're cute, but they're vicious if pushed far enough. They won't give up on people or in a fight. Hell, they both float, use long range attacks, and close range ones. Works in teams of three (Uraraka-Asui-Hado, Midoriya-Bakugou-Todoroki) under a top Pro Hero.
And they both "rival" some feral blond that they don't act "normal" around.
What if Midoriya wasn't meant to be Uraraka's crush but her mirror? Mind you whenever someone points out her "crush" it's not someone you would turn to for love advice.
Aoyama is Aoyama (think about that reveal), Ashido practically ships anybody with anybody when there's no real chemistry, and Toga has a twisted concept of love.
You really think I would trust any of them on telling me I have a "crush"?
There's also the fact that Uraraka herself during her talk with Midoriya says they're both "oddballs". That whole talk during 342 comes off more as someone talking about their feelings about their identity and relating to a friend who feels the same about themselves than supposedly "romantic". When someone is called an "oddball", it means that person is "weird". They're not part of the "norm".
Sometimes it comes off as having different interests, like someone liking the arts unlike the majority of the group who likes sports.
Or it's someone who identifies as queer.
What if these last few chapters of Toga and Uraraka was Uraraka accepting herself?
@darkcircles4lyfe points out a detail that I didn't catch until now in this post here.
In this scene, Toga has a hold of that All Might keychain. We know it's of importance to Uraraka because Midoriya gave it to her. We also know that once before Uraraka snatched it away from her when Toga first got a hold of it during the PLF War Arc. Here, she doesn't do it. Granted, because she's bang the hell up and probably even isn't aware of her surroundings. But on Horikoshi's part, what if that's on purpose? What if here, Toga is taking the keychain as a way of saying Uraraka is finally accepting herself and her feelings? That Midoriya was that mirror she kept looking into and questioning until this very moment?
Tumblr media
And let's be honest here, it's not like Horikoshi isn't incapable of writing M/F ships. I just think IzuOcha is a ship he doesn't intend to make romantic because of how underdeveloped it is.
Compare it to Kamijirou and Kirimina, it is pale. Also, make note of those two pairs.
The characters in those ships also have opposing physical features.
Kamijirou - dark and light hair colors, the extrovert and the introvert
Kirimina - Spiky hair and curly hair, sharp edges and round curves
A lot of pairs Horikoshi puts together in which the characters are close (romantic or platonic) have some opposing features to them.
Gentle Crimimal and La Brava - tall and short, dark hair and light hair, one is more hands on and the other isn't
Eraser Head & Present Mic - quiet and loud, dark hair and light hair, close combat & long range
Bakugou's and Jiro's parents - quiet & loud, dark hair and light hair
It's his shtick.
But for Midoriya and Uraraka? They are just genderbend versions of each other!
That's really all I have to say here. And if you disagree, fine. Don't care for the input though, keep it to yourselves. (I say this because some of you are just damn disrespectful.)
I myself don't think IzuOcha is a bad ship, but I just don't think it's a ship Horikoshi has on his agenda. Let alone wants the audience to perceive them as "romantic" but as a "mirror".

Perfectionist
Pairing: Shigadabi
Rating: Explicit
Summary: Commissioned by @venusshadow86, there is a lot of work that comes with running a terrorist organization, especially one that has been restructured recently. There's even more when their Grand Commander, second-in-command, and frankly, 99% of the upper management have other responsibilities, medical treatments, or knowledge gaps all interfering. But that's fine. Dabi understands what Tomura's vision for the PLF is, and he knows that he can take care of everything that needs to be done while he's away. His lover thinks he's perfect after all.
Content: BDSM, overstimulation, anal sex, anal fingering, cock cages, cock warming, multiple orgasms, prostate orgasm, sex toys, praise kink, double penetration, dacryphilia, handcuffs, creampie, subspace
Word Count: 12567
"Tomura!" His whole body goes so hot as his lover fucks into him at the perfect angle to have his hands twisting up around the chain of the handcuffs that are keeping him from burning his handprints into his back... again. Tomura keeps moving like that, his lips moving across his jaw and his hand snaking between their bodies so that he can stroke him in that same rhythm.
"I know, baby," He purrs, stroking his cock like he hadn't run a vibe along him for an hour while he was in his cockring and he's not already aching and sore. The sharpness of that overstimulation has him sobbing weakly, pulling at his chains and shaking his head.
"No, no, sir!"
"You can take it, precious." And he doesn't give him the chance to not, he forces his body to keep building that pressure and pleasure as he rapidly approaches his crescendo. "Show me how much you love to break for me."
He really doesn't have a choice about that now. All Dabi can do is let out another loud moan as his insides tighten and his cock pulses with pleasure as he spills his release between their bodies. Each subsequent thrust from his lover as he licks away the bloody tears on his cheeks is a sharper echo of his bliss that he doesn't want to lose. He tightens his legs around his waist and lets his head fall back against the pillows as he trembles and gives soft little gasps and whimpers as that is dragged out into the sharpness from before until his lover's hips drive deep and still and Dabi is wet with his cum too.
And he floats.
///
It takes him a while to come down from the high of that. Technically it wasn't nearly as long as some of their other scenes, but the intensity of it was enough to send him into the stratosphere even though they couldn't linger and indulge. Couldn't linger because when Dabi starts to come back, Tomura is still gentle in getting him cleaned up, in making sure that he has water, a snack, and as many cuddles, words of affirmation, and kisses as Dabi wants. But he doesn't settle himself. He can't, because this was a stolen reprieve. Duster has to leave when he's back to normal, and Dabi petulantly tries to cling onto him for longer than he should. He knows that Shig has to go back to the doctor tonight if he wants to stay on schedule for his treatments. This was all he could give him outside of their work to tide him over for the two weeks he's going to be gone this time as they build to his inevitable four-month absence.
He tightens his arms around Shig's waist, hiding his face against his side. "When do you need to leave?"
"Whenever I feel like it." He only doesn't tell him a time because he's definitely already gone past the time he was supposed to head back. He wouldn't have deflected for any other reason. He strokes his hand through his hair and Dabi holds on for another few breaths before he sighs and lets go of him, rolling onto his back instead and throwing an arm over his eyes.
"'m fine, Shig. Not gonna drop if you need to go."
"Do you really think I'd rush to spend more time with the doctor instead of you, firefly?" His lover shifts over him again, pushing back his bangs so that he can press a kiss to his forehead, then one to his nose, and finally a gentle one to his lips.
He doesn't want to sound petulant. Tomura adores him. He'd been open about that long before Dabi had even registered that he could be interested in Shigaraki. He knows that he's going to get the treatments because AFO made him his successor in a far more literal sense than any of them had initially known when it comes to his strange quirk. Duster needs these advancements if he doesn't want to tear his body apart again like he had in Deika. But it doesn't mean he doesn't loath having to be without him for days or weeks at a time while he gets treated. And it's going to be weeks this time.
Dabi takes his arm away from his face so that he can thread that hand through Tomura's hair instead. No mistaking the soft look in his eyes for anything but pure adoration. And he's going to miss it fiercely when he's gone and alone in their too-big bed. "...Put my cage on before you go?"
The request immediately has that affectionate look getting a little hotter as Duster leans in to give him another kiss, licking into his mouth this time and not stopping until Dabi is breathless. "Are you sure, baby boy?"
"Wanna be good for you while you're gone," and if he's wearing that, then when Tomura comes home, he'll be immediately in for a reward when they've caught up on work.
"You're always good for me, firefly. Perfect." It puts something heavy and warm in his chest because Tomura means that. He's perfect to him. His broken quirk, his twisted skin, none of it matters. Tomura thinks he's perfect. He loves him. Dabi does his best to stay perfect for him to show his love in turn.
Duster gets his cage, the metal birdcage instead of the silicone one this time. He likes them both, but the snugness of the silicone can make it uncomfortable against his piercings for an extended period of time. Dabi holds still as he's slipped into it and the ring is locked in place around his balls. It's a more solid weight and it's going to take him a few hours to adjust, but he can go to bed after Shig departs. He gets a few more kisses and honey-sweet words against his skin before Tomura makes sure he knows where the emergency key is, gets dressed, and leaves. Dabi turns off the lamp on the nightstand and curls himself deep into their sheets that are still warm with their shared heat and the scent of his lover's body.
///
Dabi wakes the next morning about an hour before dawn and climbs out of bed. The one indulgence that he'd picked for their room was the minifridge that is in the corner and he only bothers to go to the bathroom and put on his workout gear before he goes over to it and gets one of the caffeinated protein shakes inside. He drinks that as he heads out of their room and past the others in this wing of base that the League claimed for themselves. On his way he pops in his earbuds and loads up one of the lectures that he's downloaded onto his phone. He'd missed out on so much schooling, and in this environment, he doesn't want anyone to notice. He doesn't mind people thinking he's flippant, but he dropped the 'dumb thug' act in front of the League ages ago and he does not want anyone undermining his authority because they think he's stupid. So he found an online, self-guided education program and has been making his way through it for the past two months. He'd started with the year of schooling that he'd died at, but he's nearly up to a tenth year now.
He finishes his breakfast and starts his workout, training in the gym without using his quirk. Now that he and the League have access to regular food, proper training equipment, and relative safety, he's been doing his best to build back up his physical health after years on the streets. His quirk will destroy his body, he knows that it will when he stands in front of his father, but the stronger he is now, the faster, more agile, more muscle he has on him before then, then the longer he'll be able to stave it off and run out his father's clock until he overheats and Dabi can finish them both off.
An alarm goes off half an hour after sunrise and he heads back up to his room to shower, brush his teeth, and get ready for the rest of the day. When they have a lieutenant's meeting first thing in the morning, he usually just orders one of the grunts to bring breakfast for them, though that ends up being something simple and quick to eat along with coffee for everyone. But when they don't have their first meeting until later, Dabi goes to their kitchen and throws something together. It's never much, just a rolled omelet and rice, or miso soup, onigiri, toast and cut fruit, something that doesn't take him too long to make while he finishes his audio lessons for the day. He already has leftover dashi in the fridge so he goes with omelets and rice today too. By the time he's nearly done, he starts to make coffee. Dabi is not a coffee snob, not really, but he does think that Spinner's preference for instant is somewhat insulting to the big beautiful coffee maker that they have now that can foam milk and everything. Toga likes hers iced and blended, a double shot of espresso with sweet cream and chocolate shavings on top. Twice likes his iced with a ton of cream, caramel flavoring, mocha syrup, and whipped cream-- or he likes a straight shot of espresso depending on if he or his contradictions are making the order. Dabi usually just makes him both to save himself from having to worry about it, pulling the shot as soon as he starts to hear him in the hall. Compress is a fucking heathen and actually likes an Americano and will defend the fact it's just a watered down shot of espresso. Sure his drink of choice is currently a flat white, but at least his espresso isn't literally watered down.
By the time everyone's sat down, Toga and Spinner usually still in their pajamas, Dabi's finished his lesson and tucked his earbuds away.
"Thanks, Dabi." They're always happy to see whatever he's made when they arrive, and Dabi always shrugs it off. Now that they're here, they really only see each other around meals, if they can, and during meetings. It's a far cry from how much time they were spending together when they had nothing, so he makes some time for this as often as he can. Besides, he knows they will absolutely just indulge in whatever they want now that they have the luxury of doing that, and he does not totally trust Spinner and Toga to not just go overboard with junk. Twice too if he's hanging out with her because she's a terrible influence. At least if he cooks breakfast then he knows they're getting one mostly-balanced meal into them before they get on with the rest of their day.
They eat and when they're done, Dabi cleans up, if they don't have a meeting, then they all go their separate ways unless other work brings them back together again. But they do have a meeting this morning, so while the others go to finish getting ready for their day, Dabi goes back to his and Tomura's room, retrieves his laptop, and heads to the meeting room. He goes through all of the emails between this meeting and the last that he's been CC'd on and makes sure his notes for topics to address are clear and organized, and he ensures that the meeting agenda that Re-Destro composes isn't missing any topics that might need to be more thoroughly discussed.
He doesn't actually do much talking during the meeting aside from nudging it this way or that, ensuring that he's got the session recording on his phone both so that Tomura can listen back to it, and so he can as he compiles any information that needs to be shared between regiments. The lieutenants are all technically in charge of keeping their people up-to-date, but he wants things idiot-proof and always makes sure to send a write-up after the meeting ends so that no one forgets anything that they're supposed to do.
Once the main meeting is finished, if Re-Destro isn't needed back at Detnerat for more meetings on that side of the PLF, he and Dabi usually have one to make certain he knows what's going on and how to adjust the schedule for when he's gone as well as Shig. He spends an hour with him today setting things up. He's going to be away from base for a week, and Skeptic will only be around for two days as they take care of some kind of corporate bullshit that goes over Dabi's head that he pretends doesn't.
When he's done with that, it's usually around afternoon and he has another protein shake before he goes out to deal with Geten and giving combat training to their members, both new recruits and old, he's not content with the disorganized bullshit that they saw when they took Deika. The only reason they managed to hurt them as badly as they did was because the MLA had such higher numbers than they were expecting. Only their lieutenants had real combat and quirk training, and that is absolutely not enough. Dabi does not want these members to be nothing more than a larger number of no-name villains like the ones that Shigaraki lost at the USJ on his debut as a villain. No. He wants them all trained, and he doesn't want them dying or severely overworking their quirks to do it.
Which is what Geten had them doing when Dabi hadn't been joining in to oversee these sessions. He also marks out particularly unique quirks for Shigaraki and Ujiko. Aside from the high-ends, which did come with a conversation and active consent from those members, they're not actually harvesting quirks from their people or using them for run of the mill nomu-fodder. But Dabi does want notes to be made because they are gearing up to start a war, and in a war, people die. They have the good fortune of having the doctor around who could turn their dead, and dead heroes, into more soldiers for their forces. So Dabi keeps a log to ensure that if any promising soldiers die, they can be made into one of the better versions of nomu when they go.
Training with Geten usually lasts two to three hours, and afterwards Dabi goes to hang out in one of the common areas of the villa. He sticks around in the open with his laptop, writing reports and answering emails, and he does it there and not in one of the offices they've been given, because when he sits in common areas, people become used to him, his scars, his attitude. And slowly, over the past few months, they have started to also know him as the lieutenant to go to if they think something needs to be talked about or changed. Sure, the MLA had a long history and Destro's teachings held a fanatical reverence for a lot of the people who joined. But now things are different. And because they're different, those devout are also starting to see other things that maybe should be different too. Sometimes it's as small as the fact that the grocery delivery used to come on Tuesdays, which was not convenient because it was a delivery for the hundreds living here in the mountains and there were usually pallets of things that needed to be unloaded. And because most of their members are normal, functioning members of society, that meant there weren't enough people to unload the trucks, turning it into an all-day affair that ground things to a stop. So Dabi switched deliveries to Fridays instead. Still a weekday, but he also added an extra pallet of alcohol to the deliveries, so that when everyone got back from their day jobs, they would be more interested in lending a hand to get things unloaded quickly so that they could indulge to kick off their weekends. It worked, and everyone suddenly liked and trusted him and the rest of the League a little more since their takeover.
And sometimes it's something more complicated. Finding out that they're having a hard time actually getting costumes on the scale they need them despite putting an entire factory towards the task is a headache. The woman who brings it to his attention winces as she tells him, and he's pretty sure it's because she knows how bad that is for their timeline and that something like this is really going to be a mess to deal with. He thanks her and sends her off, he would rather know now than wait for things to get worse and more backed-up. It is a nightmare though, and one he has to deal with on a truncated timetable given Re-Destro is going to be unavailable for a long while once he departs. The issue is coming down to getting accurate measurements, and many costumes needing alterations because of the bad self-reporting. So Dabi goes back to their wing to find Jin.
He's in their personal common area, hanging out with Toga and Spinner who are having a racing tournament on their new console.
"Hey Twos, gonna need you to put your specialty to good use." He explains the issue and also forwards him a spreadsheet of everyone they're supposed to have costumed by the end of this quarter and how far behind they are. Jin listens,
"You got it, Dabs! No way, what a snooze," And Dabi hopes that's that. Jin will have the most accurate measurements for people, and once he's taken all of the ones that he needs to for the backlog, hopefully he'll go to the factory so he can use his doubles so that the altercations can get made without needing to pull their actual soldiers from their work.
When everyone else is winding down for the evening and starting to talk dinner, Dabi usually just orders something easy to be sent to his and Tomura's room. He eats while he finishes the actual worksheets, essays, and other homework that he has to do for the day, which usually takes him till around eleven. Then he goes to shower again after training again in the afternoon.
As he's leaning against the wall of the shower he looks down at the cage that is gleaming against his skin and sighs softly. Perfect. He can be perfect for his lover.
He dries off, brushes his teeth, applies medicine to his seams and staples, and then goes to get into bed. He makes sure that he sets his alarm for tomorrow morning and finally lets himself sleep.
///
The next day is the same, though instead of meeting with Re-Destro, he ends up having to help Jin actually get all of the people he needs to see scheduled to take their measurements because otherwise he's totally lost on where to even start with the large number of them and all of their conflicting schedules as well. And when he goes to train with Geten, he discovers that the ice user has fucked off back to whatever other mountain top he feels like now that Re-Destro and Shigaraki aren't around to tell him that he has to train these people that he sees as subhuman because their 'meta abilities' are too weak to make them worth the ice under his boot. It's great to know that he gets that kind of quirk superiority bullshit from both sides of his family tree-- though he's been very careful not to let on they're related somehow once he learned Geten's last name. Which leaves him to do the full lesson by himself. He manages it, but it would have been easier if he had a secondary instructor with him too. Whatever. He gets it done.
When he goes to sit in the common area, he is immediately hit with the news that the Hearts and Minds party is in the middle of dousing a scandal caused by one of Trumpet's employee's misconduct in the workplace that seems to have escalated to stalking. Dabi has met the kind of people who worship Trumpet through his quirk. He one-hundred percent believes the dude did it, and unfortunately that means that PR mess is going to take up valuable time from campaigning and may impact their recruitment numbers. Fuck.
He goes to find Toga then, given she's part of the recruitment squad and finds her sitting on the couch in their common area with her laptop perched on her knees.
"Did someone already tell you about Trumpet's situation?"
"Yeah..." but the tone of her voice is a little hesitant and Dabi leans his elbows against the edge of the couch.
"Yeah?"
"I guess I don't get it. Like, I mean if his employee did it, won't he just get fired and arrested? Why is everyone making such a big deal about it?"
And he is sharply reminded she's a teenager, and one who didn't have that much interest in politics or anything besides whatever trends she pretended to like to keep her peers from being scared of her. And, eventually, Stain. But he wasn't exactly talking about PR scandals when he was making his own manifesto online. "When one person does something bad and they're working for someone with power, people usually think that the person with the power was okaying it. Even if that wasn't the case, now Trumpet's gotta suck up to the press to try and prove that he didn't have anything to do with it. No matter what, people will trust him less and that will mean it'll be harder for him to recruit. So you're gonna have to try to step-up, princess."
"I don't know how to do that when I can't even show my face!" She whines, blowing out a breath up to ruffle her bangs.
Dabi spends the rest of the afternoon trying to help her figure out how to recruit on her end, aiming for a younger demographic than those who would be lured in by the Hearts and Minds party. It's a long process because she is too eager to try and find anyone instead of looking for people who they can actually use to grow their goals. He tries to teach her to spot people who are high value, but not potentially dangerous and who might out their goals. He teaches her to go on forums and social media and try to vet people, showing her how to track down those who might have an ulterior motive based on the company they keep or political views they may have expressed in the past. He does his best to educate her the way he'd educated himself growing up on the streets looking for any places he could find a home that had anti-hero and anti-police sentiments that would let someone stick around so long as he didn't cause any obvious trouble.
She gets frustrated after a few hours as she starts to realize how hard vetting people can be, and he agrees to set aside some time tomorrow to help her learn to navigate the other databases that Trumpet has compiled for PLF use of potential businesses and other high-priority potential recruits. He actually doesn't know how to navigate those completely himself either, but he'll figure it out tonight and give her the rundown tomorrow. She also gives him puppy eyes until he caves and makes them all dinner, sitting down to eat with them and shoot the shit for an hour or two before he heads back to his room.
He still has homework and other work to wrap up, and the math and history tests he needs to do are difficult and take an hour each. He does not understand what the point of proofs are and he's going to have to find a way of burning the physical concept of math. But he does manage to get them finished and then he spends another two hours learning Trumpet's absolutely massive database as well as he can so that he can at least get Toga started tomorrow.
By the time he gets to bed there's only three hours left until he has to get up again to start his day. He curls up tight, shoving his face into Tomura's pillow and takes the sleep that he can get.
///
The next day he helps Toga, though he does make her sit down in the open common area with him in case some other problem arises that needs his attention. It's not a surprise, but not a welcome inevitability when one does. Two of the mid-tier grunts come to him asking about some supply chain issue, to which he directs them to Compress or Spinner since those two are in charge of that division when it comes to making sure that they have what they need to actually wage their war. It's only then he finds out that Mister left to deal with a different issue and isn't in the building, and probably won't be back for a day or two, and the reason they're coming to him is because Spinner hadn't been able to give either of them a definitive answer. He considers the check-in earlier, what he knows about everything being moved, and gives them a temporary solution before leaving Toga to do her work and going to find Spinner himself.
He finds the other in the hall going up to their wing and asks about it, and the gecko man shrugs, scratching the back of his neck. "They both seemed important so I told them to just split the team and handle both?"
Which is a fine compromise-- but not for something like this that needs swiftness to be done effectively. As much as they like working and planning here like the war will come on their terms, it could be at their door in minutes instead of months. Deciding whether medical supplies are more available over shelf-stable rations is important, and having some, but not enough of either will only make their fights harder. In this case, immediate survival needs should come first and the team should be moved into place to get that sorted out as effectively and efficiently as possible, only then moving to the next task if they have the luxury of time. Sure it will suck if their soldiers are dying of their injuries and infections. As someone who is predisposed to illness because of how bad his skin is, Dabi really doesn't want to face the reality of not having medicine readily again. But an army that is starving is an army that fails. He doesn't really mean to give Spinner a lecture, but he's listening and he's going to have to handle these decisions by himself for the next few days while Compress is gone, so he would rather have this conversation now than have to put out fires later.
When he finishes with Spinner and goes back downstairs, Toga is off talking to some of the other members. Socializing instead of working, and as much as Dabi does want to get her back to her regiment work, she and Twice are the best with the grunts. They have golden retriever-like charisma that keeps them happy and not thinking about how many of their friends and family they killed in Deika, so he resigns that to technically being part of her job and leaves her to it.
And he goes back to work.
///
Technically, given the corporate structure of the PLF that echoes the structure of the MLA before it, they're supposed to have the weekend off. But he usually takes the time to finish as much of his coursework as he can, catch up on any information he can find out about Endeavor, or--
"Pidgeon." He drawls lazily as the hero swoops onto the rooftop of the warehouse a few meters from him.
"Hey, hot stuff," Hawks drawls with a lazy smile and mocking salute. He does lazy poorly. Dabi doesn't understand how he's cultivated that image for himself when he is clearly so driven and has the sharp eyes of the predator whose name he shares. Dabi is a lot better at faking lazy. It's not just about the drawl or the look, it's about cultivating the worst expectations of everyone around too. No one thinks someone who is stupid, or pretentious, or gluttonous can be driven and hard-working in a way they find admirable, because they don't want to see anything positive in them.
Hawks is easy to trick into underestimating him because he always leads him to believe the worst of him. He's the arrogant, thuggish oaf who has control over the recruitment process, and now that he has Hawks on a leash, he's constantly looking to exert his superiority over him. He teases him with information that he thinks Hawks is too stupid to put together on his own-- and Hawks believes it because Hawks doesn't think that a man like him can be more clever than himself. Even though Hawks has never once been able to fool Dabi into believing his façade.
"You got the files?"
"Course I do, don't tell me you still think I'd show up empty handed?" The hero shows his hand just by bringing up, however vaguely, that Dabi has doubted him in the past. He wants to know why he's being held at arm's length, and Dabi hasn't budged. The HPSC has even stopped doctoring a lot of the information he's asked for. And he's asked for just about anything. But nothing that they needed. He's been meticulous in trying to figure out what to ask for from the hero. He doesn't want survivor's bias, which he only learned about recently in his studies, to give him away. Instead he's asked for nearly everything he can from the hero. He picks it at random, acts more excited or more disinterested on the flip of a coin. He lets himself be inconsistent so that Hawks never quite has anything solid he can hold onto. And it's been frustrating the hero to no end as the HPSC is starting to doubt he's even still running with the League. They think he may just be an idiot trying to coast by on their two public jobs and he lets the hero think that.
He puts a lot of effort into being as lazy as the hero barely pretends to be. It's good to see it paying off.
///
Of the people that Dabi thought would have a fire for him to put out, if there would be one at all, he did not expect it to be Compress rushing up to him about thirty seconds after he stepped back into the villa. He hasn't even made it upstairs yet to change out of his old gear and get into something cleaner and more comfortable after two days on the streets again to make sure the bird wouldn't be able to tell that he's got more funds than he thinks he does. But Mister is right there and without and arm--
"Uh-?"
"I had a bit of a mishap," the older villain says, huffing slightly himself. "I noticed some squeaking and attempted to take off one of the panels so I could make sure everything was alright, and had a catastrophic failure when a loose screw inside got pulled into the gears."
"Shit, you okay?"
"I'm fine, but I need to go visit our mechanic to get everything working again."
Shit. "Okay, when?"
"Ideally now," Compress informs him. "I don't want to cause a delay, and if Twice were here--"
But he's at the factories still making sure that supply line is good. "Yeah, but medical shit comes first. Why were you waiting on me?" Because he really didn't need to if he was going to go and get treated and get a new prosthetic.
"I know that you're already busy, but I was hoping you could keep an eye on the incoming requisition requests and organize them for me? That way I can take the highest priority requests and see to them as soon as I return."
He doesn't say that technically that should be Spinner's job. They both already know it, but given Spinner's inability to make those kinds of calls was put on such stunning display a few days ago, Dabi understands why Compress would come to him instead. "Yeah I can do that, Mister."
"Thank you, Dabi, I'll try to be back in a day or two."
"Got it," he gives a half-hearted wave as he starts to head upstairs, wanting to shower, finish his homework, and go to bed in an actual bed for the first time in a few days. He makes it about two steps onto their floor before Toga spots him and comes bounding over beaming,
"Dabi! What about using social media to recruit?" And he pivots towards the coffeemaker, knowing he won't be sleeping for a long while.
///
He loses track of the days. No, that's not quite it. He knows the day and date, he has to because if he doesn't, then he wouldn't be able to keep up with all of his responsibilities, but he doesn't even notice when two weeks have come and gone. He just sees that his lover is in their room one morning when he comes back in from his morning workout and gives a soft sigh of relief. Tomura immediately has a smile for him, pausing him on his way to the shower to give him a kiss.
"Missed you, firefly."
"Missed you too, Duster. Give me a minute and I'll get the write-up for you."
"Don't you want to go clean up?"
"I can shower while you're reading." He says and he goes over to his laptop. It takes about twenty minutes for him to get everything compiled even though he's already been doing his best to keep up with it, he just wanted to go through all of the reports and flag things that he thinks his lover should take a closer look at and what he should know before they go into the meeting in an hour. The rest he can read later.
He goes to shower then and when he's finished, he gets dressed and Tomura joins him on the way to the meeting, switching seamlessly over to their work. They go to the morning meeting and even though their Grand Commander is back, it doesn't change Dabi's routine. He still has all the same responsibilities as he did before, he just gets to get a kiss from Tomura before he goes off to continue his work. And he gets another when they have lunch. And after dinner, when they're back in their room, Duster goes back to finishing up all of the overseeing that he needs to and Dabi does as much homework as he can possibly finish during that time. He still doesn't make it through as much as he wants before his lover moves up behind him and starts to press kisses along his neck and shoulder.
"Were you good while I was gone, pretty boy?"
But he's not about to deny him when it's been two weeks and he's wanted him every second he was gone. "Yes, sir."
"Show me, baby."
He doesn't actually let Tomura take off his cage. He's been good and he's been working hard, and that means he's earned a reward. So instead, Dabi asks if he can get on his knees tonight, and he lets himself relax for a little while as he cock warms his lover, Tomura's hand stroking his hair gently and telling him as many praises as he can find words for. Dabi doesn't really know what it means when he starts crying halfway through, before he's even coaxed his lover to fuck his throat, but thankfully he does cry often enough in bed that Duster doesn't think that there's anything wrong. He still thinks that Dabi is perfect as he wipes away the crimson tears from his cheeks and dribbles of cum from his chin as he pulls him close and holds him as he shakes and sniffles as he comes down from his high.
///
Tomura gets to stay home for five days this time before the doctor wants him back, which is great. Dabi shifts around his schedule a little so that he can be certain that Duster has everything he needs to ensure that he can catch up on everything that's happened while he was gone, as well as get ahead enough he can give Dabi and all of them his orders when he needs to leave again. The fires he's managed to put out while he was gone earn Dabi some additional praise which helps to soothe some restlessness in himself he keeps noticing off-hand. But he's still busy. Nearly every hour of his day is already dedicated to something, and spending time with Tomura on top of all of that, even though he loves him, starts to feel like just another task that he has to make time for if he wants to remain worthy of his love in turn. It puts a strange, uncomfortable strain on the edge of his mind and he keeps trying to shake it and be happy that his lover is home.
But he keeps flinching whenever they're alone together because there's so much for him to do. He ends up feeling like he's avoiding Duster just so he can be certain that he gets everything he needs done.
Which makes it particularly uncomfortable when he realizes that after three days of being home, Duster seems to be almost following after him and trying to see what he's doing. Checking up behind him on his work without actually speaking to him. But Dabi notices how his lover seems to arrive places just before he departs, going to talk to the people Dabi spoke too, a frown slowly setting in across Tomura's features and growing more pronounced each time they pass each other. It has him nearly smoking when he ends up letting the others fend for themselves for dinner that night in favor of going back to their room, unable to do anything else but pace as he waits for his lover to return. He's fuming when the door handle turns and Duster comes into the room. Before he can even speak, Dabi's temper and tongue are flying ahead of him.
"What the fuck is your problem, Shigaraki?"
He has the audacity to blink at him like he's the one who's being unreasonable. "Dabi--"
The placating tone does the exact opposite, nearly making Dabi ignite, actually making him hot enough under the collar that he tosses his coat over the chair at the desk as he whips around to snarl, "I've been doing everything you could possibly want! I'm keeping the soldiers in our regiment trained and on a schedule-- even when Geten fucks off for his own training! I've been teaching Toga how to take over recruitment now that Trumpet is out of the building! I've been cleaning up Spinner's messes when he's too indecisive and untrained to make the hard calls. I covered for Compress when he was hurt. I made sure that Twice's job was organized so that his condition wouldn't cause him or the organization any issues. I've been keeping up with Detnerat and the rest of the PLF for Re-Destro and you! And-- And--" Oh. Dabi doesn't know when he stopped yelling and his voice broke. When he started to cry and his limbs went so heavy with complete misery and exhaustion. But he feels like he can barely stand as a sob bursts from his throat.
He's not smoking anymore, just crying, so Tomura comes into his space and pulls him close. Dabi wants to stay angry, he wants to demand to know what he could have possibly done wrong to earn the other's scrutiny, but he can't find his words through the choked, heavy sobs that are coming out of him. Instead he finds himself clinging to Tomura's suit jacket and staining it with his tears as he cries and cries.
///
It takes a long time for him to stop, and his face hurts so badly when he manages it that Tomura has to go get him some medicine, an ice pack, and replace two of the staples under his eye seams. Then he makes Dabi go take a shower and they both get into their pajamas before he pulls Dabi close on the bed again, holding him and stroking his hair and along his arm as he hides his face against his lover's chest like that will protect him from having to find out how badly his meltdown ruined everything.
But they can't stay like this forever, and eventually, Dabi makes himself mumble, "...I'm sorry."
The hands don't stop petting him. "Are you ready to talk now, firefly?"
He's not sure he'll ever be ready to know how much he's let Tomura down, but he would rather tear the band-aid off now so that he can start working towards making amends again instead of lingering in his misery. So he nods slightly and waits.
"Dabi, I wasn't double-checking your work because I wasn't happy with it." He says gently. "I was worried. You've gotten so much done since I left, and I see how hard you've been working just for the past few days. The others said that you've been drinking a lot of caffeine, and I already saw how little sleep you're giving yourself. Baby, I wasn't following you around to chew you out for not getting enough done. You're doing more than enough. I was trying to see if you're actually giving yourself any time to rest."
Dabi doesn't say anything for a minute before he mumbles. "How am I supposed to do that? There's so much to do, and no one else is--" He stops himself and shuts his mouth. The others are trying. They're working, and he only sees them for a short while each day. He can't speak to what they're doing when he's not around. It wouldn't be fair of him to discredit whatever else they might be doing when they're out of his sight. And worse, "And when you're not here-- someone has to make sure that everything is perfect."
There's another long pause and the hands petting him do actually stop this time as Tomura hears what he said and considers those words. "Firefly, that's not your responsibility." And his voice is sad when he says it, the hand on his arm moving to catch his chin and tilt his face up to him. Dabi doesn't really want to, but Shig actually has his gloves on for once, which means he's already trying to be extra careful with how fragile he feels right now and he doesn't want his lover to think it will be any worse or more than it already is. "Dabi, I only took over the MLA so that we would have the resources so that none of us would be expected to bite off more than we can chew. I wanted to make sure that we would be able to prepare for this war without burning ourselves out before the fighting even started. You don't have to do the jobs of ten other people. That's not how this is supposed to work."
Dabi tries to backtrack, "I'm fine, Duster. I can do this--"
"You don't have to, Dabi. I don't want you to--" Tomura knows it was the wrong thing to say as soon as it's out of his mouth because the way the words hit his ears, and how he flinches, makes Dabi think it would have been less cruel if his partner just decayed him from the heart out. "I don't want you to be so overworked that you're falling apart." He elaborates more gently. "It's not about what you're capable of doing, I know that you could turn the entire world to ash. It's about making sure that you're healthy and happy, and that you have a balance between what you're doing for yourself and what you're doing for work." He shifts his hand, moving from his chin to his cheek, frowning a little more at how bad he's sure the seams under his eyes look after crying for so long before. "And until we figure out a better way of doing that, I think you should take a break."
The fact that his eyes hurt so badly is the only reason that he doesn't start to cry again. It still takes him a second to croak, "Yes, sir." Even though it feels like he's being scraped raw as he says it.
"You're not being punished, precious," Tomura promises him, pressing a kiss to his forehead. "I'm so grateful for everything you've managed to stay on top of while I've been gone. But now it's time for you to rest. Alright, baby boy?"
It still feels like a punishment, even when Tomura doesn't make him talk anymore and holds him close until he falls into a fitful sleep.
///
When he wakes next it's early and he automatically starts to get up, wanting to catch up on the lesson that he missed the night before because of his meltdown and talk with Tomura, but when he sits up to get out of bed he finds that his lover is already up and sitting on their couch, the coffee table is covered in files and folders, and he's got both of their laptops open in front of him. Tomura hears him shift to the edge of the bed and looks back at him,
"Did I wake you, baby?"
"No, what--"
"You skipped dinner last night, are you hungry?"
"No--"
"Okay," and Tomura gets up, leaving the papers as they are and coming over to the bed. Dabi's head feels like it's swimming a little as he is pulled back into bed and Tomura holds him close again. "It's still early. Stay with me until sunrise?" He asks.
And after last night, Dabi is absolutely helpless to do anything that goes against his lover's wishes. "Yes, sir." He can wait until sunrise. It's just another hour or so away. He curls up against his chest and lets out a soft sigh, just closing his eyes to wait.
///
When he wakes up again, Dabi feels like death warmed over. He's somehow more exhausted than when he woke up this morning, his eyes are crusty, his seams beneath still ache from crying last night, his mouth tastes like something crawled into it and died, and his limbs are full of a solid, heavy warmth that only comes from running too hot for too long while he was asleep, something that usually only happens when he's sick or when he's slept for a very long time.
He can't afford either of those but the clock on the nightstand tells him that it's past two in the afternoon. Dabi scrambles out of bed, rushing to the bathroom to clean up and get ready for his very belated start to the day. He's half dressed and scrambling to find his laptop that he knows Duster had last night, but that is nowhere to be found in their room, nearly crazed, when his lover walks back in with one arm full of more files, and the other holding a takeout bag.
"Did you sleep well, firefly?"
"I slept through half of my meetings!" He's supposed to be out training the recruits right now--
"I canceled all of the group meetings for the next week. I'm going to be conducting individual ones with the different regiments. Come sit down, I brought you lunch."
That's... something. He doesn't know quite how to make sense of what he's being told though. "I'm supposed to be training the soldiers--"
"Geten is back and will be here training the new recruits, so you don't need to go rushing off. You took care of them for the past week. Now it's his turn. I got you black sesame cookies too."
"I--" But words fail him. He doesn't know what to do, what he's supposed to be doing when Tomura is able to come in and so thoroughly restructure his schedule on a whim. Tomura sets down the papers and pulls him over to the couch, making him sit and unpacking his food for him. The spicy tofu, melon soda, and cookies are all things that... he's mentioned off-handedly that he liked when he was younger. The tofu and cookies were things that he remembers his mother making for them before her mental state deteriorated so sharply. And the melon soda was something that he and Natsuo would sneak to get on their way home from school since Enji had been so strict about letting him have too much sugar when he was supposed to be training.
He kind of feels like a child as he's made to sit down and have lunch, and he doesn't do a very good job hiding how he's pouting given his lover stops him halfway through the meal. "What's wrong, love? Do you want something else?"
"I'm sorry I freaked out yesterday," he mumbles instead, pushing away his bowl. "It won't happen again. You don't have to treat me like a kid."
Duster sighs. "Dabi, I'm not trying to treat you like a kid, I'm trying to get you to take care of yourself. You've barely been sleeping, even when you make food for the others, they said half of the time you end up having a shake and a granola bar or something else quick. You've been working so hard, you've been doing the jobs of nearly all of the other lieutenants and me. That's too much for anyone, and I want to make sure that you're taking a break." He sets aside the file he was looking at and offers a hand. Dabi hesitates for a second, but takes it. Tomura pulls him up and into his lap, wrapping him in his arms. "The PLF was supposed to take away some of this stress. I thought that giving you each specific jobs and teams would help you all take care of things while I was gone. It was irresponsible and short-sighted of me to leave as soon as things were set up, without even making sure things were actually running the way I thought they would be."
"...You needed to get treated."
"For my injuries." Tomura concedes. "But I could have held off on everything else. I should have." But he didn't and now they’re here. Dabi doesn't say anything. He doesn't know what he's supposed to. "I already talked to the doctor, I'm going to delay my treatments for the next month and a half, and I'm going to make sure the infrastructure I set up actually works." He presses a kiss to the top of his head. "I can't make you take a break for that long, but will you at least take a few days? No more work, I'll take care of all of that. Sleep for at least eight hours and eat three meals a day?"
Dabi wants to protest. He's been fine. But... no he hasn't, has he? If he were fine, then he wouldn't have fallen apart the way he did last night. "...Two. I don't like having breakfast."
"You can have a smoothie or shake, but no more than one cup of coffee's worth of caffeine a day."
Dabi is less than thrilled to find himself in a negotiation about his health, but it is what it is. "Fine. I still want to train."
"You can train, firefly, but no more than four hours a day, and you have to get an extra hour of sleep those days and have a pre and post-workout snack if you're doing it more than an hour away from your next or last meal."
"You're a tyrant." He grumbles, turning his face into his collarbone.
Duster just hums, but doesn't protest, holding him close and petting his skin. "Do you want to pick out something else for lunch?"
He sighs softly and shakes his head. He's not going to keep fighting off the ways his lover is trying to comfort him. Maybe he's right. Maybe he needs a break. Maybe he needs that comfort.
///
Tomura works hard for the next few days while Dabi almost entirely keeps to their room. He lets himself sleep when he's tired, he takes medicine when his seams ache, and he eats when he's hungry. He reads a book that doesn't have anything to do with heroes or villains or any of his homework, and he ghosts Hawks when the hero tries to get him to come to the city for another meet-up. And Tomura makes sure he knows how proud of him he is every time he sees him. He tries to set a good example too, making sure to come back to the room to eat with him at regular meal-times, and even though he still struggles with his insomnia, he still does his best to go to sleep with him at night for as many hours as he can physically get.
Duster makes Dabi take a break, and after a week, he sits down to start working on his lessons again. And he realizes that he needs to go back to the past few weeks of them because he doesn't remember anything he learned. He was so overworked, so focused on just making sure he knew what he needed to for the tests, that he didn't actually process the things he was supposed to be learning.
When he starts to train on his own again, he realizes that even though he was getting stronger in increments, he feels like he's made bounds of improvements after giving himself the time to rest.
And when he is able to go back to work as a lieutenant, he finds that things have changed drastically around the rest of the organization too. Not only are there the lieutenants, but each regiment also now has a group of three to five additional formerly high-ranking MLA members who they can delegate to and help to spread out their workload. Spinner and Toga are in classes like him, though Spinner's are focusing on military history, business, and leadership, and hers are focused on sociology and cult indoctrination and recruitment processes. Twice is now regularly seeing a therapist to help him keep on top of his condition and try to get him to a place where he'll be able to use his quirk however he wants, and not just when he's under duress. Because Detnerat is still taking up so much of Re-Destro and Skeptic's time, their roles as lieutenants have been reduced so that the rest of the organization can run without them around and not fall apart because of the absence.
He goes back to work and tries to take up his old routine, but it's just not possible. People aren't pulling him in every direction anymore, and he's left only with the responsibilities that he originally thought that he would have when they first restructured the organization. Dabi suddenly has so much free time, even when he's working, training, and continuing to get his education, that he's... restless.
It's been about two weeks since Tomura came home and decided things needed to change when Dabi wakes up a little after one to find his lover's insomnia has already forced him from bed. He's not even working though, he doesn't need to late at night now. Not when everything has been taken care of during the day. Instead he's tapping away quietly at one of his games. Dabi slips out of bed and pads over to the couch, moving to push his lover's hair over his shoulders, so that he can lean down and start to press kisses along the back of his neck.
"Sir," they took a break from this too. Waiting for Dabi to not be so exhausted and in such a bad headspace that he was practically begging for a drop. He sees his lover smile softly, as he sets aside his game and gets up.
"It's late, firefly,"
"I'll sleep in," he promises. It's been over a month now and the thought of not having the other is a little too much for him. Tomura is wearing his gloves, so when he reaches for him, he's able to cup his face against his palm with his whole hand and pull him in for a soft, sweet kiss that makes Dabi nearly vibrate with anticipation. His lover only starts things so gently when he plans on working him over until he cries and Dabi wants that.
Tomura relents and links their pinkies together, a holdover from when he doesn't have his gloves on, and pulls him over to their bed. Dabi's skin is already tingling with anticipation as his lover's eyes roam over his body. "You've been doing such a good job of taking breaks lately, sweetheart, I think that you've more than earned a reward for taking such good care of yourself." That's more credit than he deserves, really. Dabi wouldn't have bothered at all if his lover hadn't forced him to. But he's not about to argue the semantics of that if it means he's going to get a reward.
Sir gets him onto the bed, his lips moving over Dabi's skin. Kisses are peppered along his cheeks, his jaw, down his neck, and over his chest as his hands move in tandem. They stroke so gently up his sides and along his seams, finding the places that could ache and hurt, but that fill him with a needy bliss instead. He relaxes against the bedding, letting his arousal start to build, knowing that all he needs to do is whatever his lover asks. When his hands go to his waistband, Dabi lifts his hips enough so that he can pull them down his legs. He kicks them off and lays back, and Tomura's eyes linger on him for a long moment before his hand goes to his caged cock.
He runs his fingers along the bars, back around the loop, trailing the backs of his knuckles against Dabi's balls and making him tremble and shiver as his body tries to send blood there that is choked away by the restriction of the cage. "Are you finally ready to come out, precious?"
Dabi hesitates. He's kept the cage on for the past few weeks because it felt... safe. It was a reminder of how in control he was of himself even when Dabi knows now he was so far out of control that he's lucky he didn't actually ignite again. He hadn't let his lover take it off when he'd come home because he was clinging so tightly to the idea that wearing it, that being restricted, could make him even more perfect in his eyes.
But it's been weeks, and Dabi is learning how to let himself breathe again after drowning for months. He wants to let himself have this too. He wants to let his lover turn him into an inferno. "Yes, sir." His voice is soft and a little unsure, but Tomura just smiles at him and gives him another kiss.
"Good boy, let's unlock you. I want to see my baby's pretty cock."
The praise makes him tingle with warmth as his lover pulls out the key from his pocket and undoes the closure. He is careful as he slips the ring and cage off of his body, and the first thing Dabi notices is the lack of pressure there that he'd grown so used to, he hadn't even remembered it was weighing him down. The next thing he notices is how good it feels to actually harden as his body gets hotter from Sir's hands roaming over his skin.
"There, I missed seeing you so much, precious." He runs two fingers up Dabi's length, and the sound that he makes as it happens is humiliating as his hips jump off of the bed, looking for more. Oh, he's so sensitive after not being touched there for so long. Dabi whimpers and Tomura smiles, pressing a kiss to his cheek before he reaches towards their side table. "How about," he says as he extracts a bottle of lube from the top drawer before reaching back in, "For your reward, we try to catch up on all of your missed orgasms, baby boy?"
His cock is more than eager at the suggestion, barely touched and already fully hard and curving up against his stomach. "Yes, sir." He wants that, wants his lover to touch him until he can't move, until everything else falls away.
Tomura pulls out one of their vibrators. It's a thin, curved rod in black silicone, with a loop for the handle that can be held. It's only a few inches long, and it's barely as wide as two of his lover's fingers, but it's one of their favorites for its versatility. Tomura sets it aside on the sheets as he opens the lube, leaning down to give Dabi another slow, deep kiss. He licks into his mouth and Dabi threads his hands through his lover's hair, spreading his legs open a little wider, hoping he can coax him into making him feel good where he wants him. But his slick fingers don't go to his hole. Dabi won't complain about his hand lingering over his cock instead.
The touches are nearly feather-light, but that doesn't stop the loud, desperate moans that are slipping out of Dabi's throat as he's made wet, both from the lube, and from how quickly he begins to weep pre. It’s humiliating how sensitive he is after finally being allowed out and encouraged to take care of himself and destress. Sir has barely been touching him and Dabi feels absolutely desperate for it. He whimpers as he thumbs over his head, hand barely wrapping around him, gliding along his length and making his whole body tremble.
"You're so sensitive, baby." He purrs, teasing him, eyes bright with his satisfaction. "Oh, baby boy, you're not going to be able to hold on for long, are you?"
"I'm sorry," he whines, "f-feels good, sir." He hasn't felt good in so long. Even the last time sir took him to bed and helped him float, that session was weighed down with the knowledge that Duster needed to leave as soon as they were finished. But now Dabi can have his lover for as long as he will give him and the relief of not having to rush is somehow making his body too eager.
"You don't have to apologize, sweetheart," Tomura soothes, tightening his hand a little more as he strokes him, "I want you to feel good, baby, you don't have to hold back. Just let me make you feel good."
He really can't do anything else as his lover keeps stroking him as he kisses and bites along his neck. His pleasure builds and builds and far too soon he's digging his nails into Sir's back as his hips jump and he gasps as his balls draw tight. Dabi didn't think it was possible for him to forget how good an orgasm can feel, but this is blinding as it crashes through him. His cock is pulsing with pleasure that radiates so sharply through him and his spend is nearly burning, copious, and thick as it coats his stomach, nearly going up his chest from how hard his orgasm hits him.
It leaves him shaking like a leaf against their sheets, gasping for breath, and is only made worse when Tomura gives him another slow, sweet kiss before there's something solid and cool pressing up just behind his balls. Dabi keens as the vibrator is pushed there and switched on to its lowest, constant setting and that sends those sharp, overwhelming buzzes through his skin and makes his nerves go molten immediately. And his other hand doesn't stop. He keeps stroking Dabi even as his body tries to pull back from his peak and his cock wants to soften. But the hand and the vibrations as it's dragged along his balls, around them, and up the underside of his cock, lingering between his piercings and making him thrash and whimper as the sensations go too sharp so soon after his orgasm, force his cock to stay half-hard in his lover's grip.
Dabi's head swims as he tries to fill his lungs between the whines and moans that are coming out of him as he clutches at his skin. But he doesn't relent. Tomura just gives him more kisses, dipping his head to lick at his nipples and tease the buds with his teeth as his hand moves from his cock so that he can press the toy along him instead. And he keeps it there, forcing the vibrations along Dabi's shaft and making the muscles in his thighs tense as jump as it feels like he's forcing lava beneath his skin from how sharp his pleasure gets.
It's not a surprise when he bursts into tears as his wet fingers do start to circle his hole like it's even possible for him to handle anything else on top of what he's already being given. "Oh, firefly," and there's such a satisfaction in his lover's voice as Sir circles his rim and teases those nerves to life too. "Already?"
Already crying, when it's clear that Sir has so much more planned for him and he can't help it. But it doesn't stop his lover from pressing inside of him as he clicks the vibrator up to a higher setting. Dabi lets go of Tomura, wrapping his hands around the bottom of the headboard before they can get hot enough to burn his partner. That earns him a reprieve, at least against his cock that is aching from being forced to stay full, as Tomura locks the cuffs around the frame in place so that Dabi doesn't set the bed on fire. But then he has the vibrator again and has its blunt head circling his tip and tracing the underside to his first piercing as he slips his finger into his body. He strokes and coats his walls with lube, making the slide easier and more comfortable -- as he immediately crooks to find his prostate and starts to work pressure there in time with the movements of the toy over his cock.
The noises that he's making sound wounded from how completely overwhelmed he is. But he doesn't ask to stop. He doesn't want to stop. He just wants Tomura to force his body to be everything he can make it. He just wants to be molded into something perfect for his lover and it's a sharp relief that broken, messy, and sobbing, is perfect for his lover from how hard he can feel the other is against his thigh. By the time that he has two fingers inside of him and the vibrator has been turned up to its third speed, Dabi can't even find his words anymore and only managed a slightly louder sob before his cock twitches again.
This orgasm is even more stinging and sharp than the first, but it's only accompanied by a small spurt of cum that joins the mess already painted over his skin. That doesn't make the pleasure that rolls through him any less intense and when it ebbs away, his limbs are so heavy against the sheets and he can't do anything but try to catch his breath and sniffle as Sir decides that still wasn't enough for his reward.
Instead he pulls the vibrator away from his cock, softening now despite the constant, rhythmic movement of his lover's fingers petting along his inner walls. But he doesn't stop feeling good. He's wrapped up in the pleasure that Sir is giving his body, completely lost in it. He doesn't know if his body can handle anything else, but when he murmurs,
"There, pretty boy, all ready for my cock, aren't you?"
Dabi can only manage a weak nod. He tries to reach for his lover, always likes to hold onto him when he has him on his back like this, but his wrists are caught in the cuffs. Tomura chuckles and gives him a kiss before he shifts, pulling his fingers out of Dabi's body and leaving him uncomfortably empty for a moment as he sheds his sleep pants, before he moves back between his legs. Dabi's cock manages to stir, but he's only half-hard as his lover slicks up his cock and starts to press inside.
It's been so long since he's had him like this and Dabi moans weakly as the stretch and pressure along his walls makes his entire lower half start to tingle and radiate out a fresh pleasure. He knows immediately why Sir worked over his cock so much before he was inside, as he begins to move in deliberate, measured thrusts. He wants Dabi to cum again from having his insides toyed with, wants to give him that other, more intense, deeper orgasm that he usually can only manage in his cage or ring, without either in play now.
His lips fall against Dabi's cheek, kissing away the tears that are trickling across his skin. "You're doing such a good job, baby boy. I'm so proud of you. Does that feel good, precious?"
It's so hard for him to find his voice, to focus when he's swimming so deeply through his fog. But thankfully, him nodding blearily and turning his face towards the other to get a kiss is enough of an answer for his lover. Tomura gives him that kiss, as slow and sweet as his movements between his thighs.
Which makes feeling that second head against his hole all the more shocking. The vibrations are already on, and they're back to their lowest setting, but the sensation there makes all of his nerves tingle and burn from the too much that his body has already been subjected to. Tomura teases the toy around him for a few thrusts, giving Dabi time to protest, but he doesn't. He relaxes even further against the sheets even though his nerves are sharp. Sir knows what's best for him. He knows what Dabi's body can handle more than he does at times. He trusts Tomura to take care of him.
Sir pulls out nearly all the way with the next movement of his hips, and when he pushes again, he pushes the toy in alongside his cock. He inserts it so that curved shaft is pressing up towards his stomach and after another thrust and some gentle manipulation, the blunt silicone head is putting a constant, buzzing pressure against his prostate. It sends his nerves screaming and a rougher sob from his throat as he tangles his hands in the chains of his cuffs for something to hold on to. He shakes his head weakly, and Tomura shushes him gently, still not moving quickly, but stroking him so deeply, moving the toy with his cock, and against it and making it feel like the vibrations are reaching even deeper inside of him. It feels so good and like too much, and Dabi thinks he's going to tremble apart beneath his lover completely.
"You're doing such a good job, baby. Being such a good boy. You just have to hold on for me a little longer so I can make you feel good again. Can you do that, sweetheart? Or do you want me to stop?" He murmurs, his free hand moving to stroke Dabi's hair and his words only making his aching pleasure go even higher.
It's so hard to think through the too much inside of him, but he whimpers and manages to shake his head weakly. "Want it, sir, please--" he can't hold on for long, he doesn't think, but he wants to taste that sweetness again. He wants to float with his lover like this forever.
"Perfect, sweetheart. Can you take a little more?"
He whimpers, unsure what that can even be when his cock is still only half-hard and he doesn't know if he can survive another touch there. But he nods weakly again.
"Good boy, just a little more," Tomura reassures him, peppering his face with kisses as the hand between their bodies clicks the vibrator up two settings.
That sharp increase in sensation has Dabi screaming his pleasure as it aches and burns across his nerves. He nearly thrashes beneath Sir as he is so full and made to endure such unrelenting sensation as his movements slowly start to increase in pace until the bed is rocking beneath them and Dabi's close to pulling the seams across his palms from how tightly his fists are clenched. The pressure and heat go higher and higher, his prostate sending his pleasure vibrating all the way through his bones before Dabi can't hold on any longer.
Orgasming from there is always so different from doing it from his cock. It radiates through every muscle in his body, making his voice crack around how loudly he moans, as his toes curl against the sheets. And it lasts for so long. It's not the explosiveness of cumming with his cock, which only just manages to twitch and drool out a few droplets of cum against his thigh, where it's a firework and then an echo in rapid succession. This kind of orgasm takes his entire body and leaves that bliss radiating across each and every nerve and doesn't let go of him even as his limbs turn to lead in the wake of it.
He's floating so high he doesn't even feel it when his lover cums. He doesn't know when his hands were uncuffed, he just realizes a while later as he whimpers softly as his oversensitive cock is cleaned with a wipe, that he's being cleaned up. Tomura is gentle as he does it, making sure that he's clean of the cum that was all over his skin before he tosses the soiled wipe away and pulls Dabi close, settling in with him.
It's been a long time since he's felt so good, and when his eyes grow heavy in the wake of that pleasure, Dabi lets them close.
///
He wakes up again just after dawn, still curled up tight against Tomura's chest and his whole body still heavy from his pleasure. He can see the clock on the nightstand. Past time he should have already been up for training.
Dabi snuggles in closer to his lover, his arms tightening around him automatically, and Tomura's face turning to press into his hair. Work can wait. He doesn't want to disappoint his lover by not taking care of himself again. Besides, he feels perfect already, just laying in the circle of his arms.

The Villains' Pastime: Gourmet Food Highlights
Another day, another event focused on the LOV and their targeted psychic attacks on Skeptic's blood pressure (+ ReDestro's wallet)
The event starts with the gang fully embracing the freeloader lifestyle: lounging around and playing cards, ordering premium food on the PLF's dime, and doing absolutely nothing to actually help out with running the organization they violently took over like a week ago.
Everyone praises Tomura for being good at cards, with Compress and Twice wondering how he can be so good at reading others even though most of them are wearing masks. Jin then proceeds to shout out what his hand is, solving part of the mystery behind Tomura's undefeated winning streak in record time.
Tumblr media
They want to play another game, but Tomura shoots them down bc it's close to noon and he's hungry. They agree to stop playing cards and get some lunch, and start talking about what sort of gourmet (read: expensive) foods they should try next. Tomura breezily talks about how nice it is to finally have money to burn (he's the worst ♥️), which inevitably summons Skeptic from the fourth ring of hell to bitch everyone out about wasting the PLF's precious funds.
Tumblr media
"Thanks a bunch~" If Skeptic murks you in your sleep, you really only have yourself to blame Mister.
Tumblr media
No one does "endearing in a criminally insane way" quite like Tomura. 😬
Trumpet senses that things are about to get ugly (or that skeptic is about five seconds away from a full blown hypertensive crisis) and intervenes, suggesting that they play a game of cards-- If Tomura wins, the PLF will foot the bill. If Skeptic wins, they either have to pay for their own lunch or just go hungry.
Tomura (quite predictably) says "fuck that" and tells Spinner just to go buy them lunch at a convenience store.
Tumblr media
>be me >be stuck in a secret base hidden deep in the mountains >be literally miles away from civilization and the nearest town >tfw warp gate is doing ten-to-life and warp sludge is being gatekept by the world's most toxic Ivo Robotnik cosplayer 😔 >my boss, fully aware of all the above, orders me to walk to the nearest town and buy him a frozen burrito from a gas station >mfw
IS THIS YOUR MAN, SPINNER.
Tomura lightly bullying his friends and making unreasonable requests is nothing new, but this one strikes me as hilariously mean spirited even by his standards bc it’s also implied Tomura expects Spinner to foot the bill on top of all that:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
BRO FALL IN LOVE WITH SOMEONE ELSE 😭
Trumpet eventually convinces Tomura that it would actually (read: obviously) be faster to just settle the issue with a game of cards-- Tomura finally gives in, and they settle on a game of blackjack.
Compress explains the rules of blackjack and offers to deal the cards-- Trumpet shuts this down immediately and says that HE will deal the cards, thank you very much:
Tumblr media
As an aside, I love how utterly shameless they make Compress in these events lmao.
Tomura and Skeptic begin their game, and Tomura quickly makes it apparent that he approaches blackjack with the same suicidally reckless abandon as he does pretty much everything else:
Tumblr media
Out of context MHA, eat your heart out.
Tumblr media
Spinner, Compress, and Dabi all worry that Tomura has drawn too many cards and is gonna lose by default, but Jin and Himiko both express their faith in his abilities as an ill-gotten bread winner (<3)
Tomura and Skeptic both reveal their hands, and we hard cut to the aftermath where the LOV are gushing about all the high quality meat they bought on the PLF's dime while Skeptic seethes in the corner.
Tumblr media
>Tomura
> making logical choices
well, there's your first mistake.
Trumpet tells Skeptic to stop being a hater and dig in, casually siding with the LOV now that they've won their premium beef:
Tumblr media
Trumpet:
Tumblr media
Like a true politician.
The lunch party continues until ReDestro enters the scene... gushing about some high quality meat he managed to get ahold of and asking the League if they'd like some hot pot. :) Skeptic realizes his life is a cosmic joke. The event ends.
Bonus Stuff:
Tumblr media
This is starting to feel less like a case of the LOV simply liking sushi and more like a united effort to haze Dabi. Deserved, tbh.
Tumblr media
Jin telling Himiko to eat her veggies and Compress fondly watching her eat her weight in meat......... they r SO cute wtf..................,😭
Tumblr media
>I start joking about Tomura being the most rancid godawful tsundere in existence
>somewhere out there, apollo draws back his dodgeball arm
He sure complains a lot for someone who grumpily indulges their every whim, huh.

I love your spinaraki fankid! I hope you don't mind receiving asks about him, if so, then please ignore.
In your AU, would Masanori be inclined to meeting mr. compress, if he's still around? Like, if compress was able to get out of jail, would he try to find Masanori (maybe not try to interact but just out of curiosity to know what happened to the kid)? Or Masanori could get Deku to let him speak to compress if he's still in jail? Does compress even know about Masanori's existence?
Ahhhhhhhh I'm so glad you like Masanori and thank you so much for the ask! Please, send all the asks you want. I'm just really happy people like him. 🤗🙇🏻‍♀️🙏🏼
In this AU, Mr. Compress is still around - though still in jail, on death row.* Execution could happen any day now.
(*As part of a terrorist group that was involved in kidnapping, insurrection, multiple murders, etc., he's definitely getting the death penalty. All prison/legal aspects here is based on irl modern-day Japan.)
Compress does know about Masanori's existence! The League (+ the PLF leadership + two or three PLF medical workers) all knew that Spinner laid an egg. And just like Spinner, none of them knew what became of the egg - if it ever hatched, if the kid is doing okay, if they're even alive. Having guessed correctly that Spinner never told the Heroes anything, and with the subject never brought up in interrogations, they all intend to take the secret to the grave.
(Tho you're right: if Compress had ever broken out of jail because he totally should, he definitely would have tracked down the kid! And watched him from afar, to make sure he's okay. As much as Compress might want to make contact, he probably won't, to give the kid a chance at a non-villain, non-fugitive, non-League-bleak-end life. Though he may meddle with some things behind-the-scenes to make sure the kid stays on the straight path.
However, in an AU of this AU—if, like, fate ever puts Masanori in life-threatening danger, Compress would def rush there to save and protect him.)
Masanori - at first - actually has no interest in speaking to Mr. Compress. He knows about the guy, via reading Spinner's memoir and research, but since Masanori decided not to get sentimental about his parentage, he doesn't care to get in touch with Mr. Compress.
Not that Masanori can in the first place - by himself, he's got no way to establish communication with a death row prisoner, no good reason for it should he have to give one, and no one other than family and lawyers can contact Sako Atsuhiro anyway. That also lowered any incentive to act on any curiosity he might have had.
*
It's actually this lack of desire that gives off a red flag to Deku, as part of a series of red flags regarding Masanori. See, Masanori has closed his heart off - doesn't want to know more about his parents or lineage, doesn't want to bond with anyone, doesn't even want friends. (Even Shigaraki had friends and held the League close to his heart!)
It just seems very sad and lonely to Deku. Masanori is not a villain and has firmly declared that he won't be one, so everyone can rest easy, but Masanori sure acts like a Villain, clearly broken and rejecting a world that had rejected him and "too far gone" for any of Deku's (or anyone's) attempts to Make Him Smile. (Metaphorically.) (Also literally - not a smiler, Masanori. Or emotes much.)
So of course obviously, for the story development, for Masanori's character growth, and Deku to for-real save Masanori, kid does eventually have to open up and develop connections. Deku actually takes the first step in facilitating this - getting a stay of execution for Mr. Compress so the kid can still have the only connection left in the world to Shigaraki and Spinner.
Plus for Deku - Compress will also probably be the first person to really take Deku to task about caring for Masanori, for Masanori's sake - if Deku's serious about helping this kid, without forcing his shallow and egotistical heroic ideals on him, and to continue helping him no matter what, no resorting to punching even if the kid fucks up, even if people finds out about Masanori and Deku'll have to defend Masanori's very existence against the world.
*
Anddddddddd I've also toyed with the extremely terribly too-sappy idea that Masanori thinks of himself as a mistake, someone who shouldn't exist. Not only because of his villain lineage, but because clearly he's the result of some awkward situationship between Spinner and Shigaraki, two loser 20-somethings who were each other first friends because they were both gamers. While being boss and underling. Kinda cringe, you know? If they were sensible, they wouldn't/shouldn't have had him. Of course a pair of criminals would end up with a mess of an egg.
But it's Mr. Compress who'll be able to back up everything Spinner says in his letter to Masanori, and more. He'll tell Masanori that Spinner and Shigaraki really did care about each other very much. Masanori is a child born of... maybe not love, but definitely affection. And while he was indeed a complete surprise and accident, that wouldn't have mattered to his parents. Once he was in the world, once he existed, that would've been reason enough for Shigaraki and Spinner to fully accept him and fight to create a world that he can be free in. They surely would've done that. Wanted to do that. That's something Compress can say with 100% certainty. And it'll soothe such an important part of Masanori.
Also once Masanori does open up his heart and he and Compress do bond, I think they can have a good time chatting about stuff. Not just League stories, but also like, history details that Masanori can't learn from books, tips on thievery, the terrible name Shigaraki and Spinner would've came up for Masanori, how to survive having notable bloodlines weighting on you, expensive foods Masanori should try on that Deku Hero's budget.
*
Thanks again for the ask!!! For allowing me to ramble on about this!!!! 🙇🏻‍♀️🙏🏼😭

How the PLF Advisors Should Have Been Used In the 2nd War
So with the latest MHA 7 Episode having Skully the Midnight Killer finally go down, and it doesn't seem like any new scenes of the Advisors will happen yet, it got me wondering on how to utilize the Advisors that just...weren't shown off and pretty much forgotten.
So that's what you get for this post!!
Okuto Island
Geten's #3 Advisor/Foxy - Thanks to the anime giving him a cameo defeat we know he was sent to Okuto Island so wouldn't change it. Instead, I would flesh him out as being defeated. Maybe Tsu snatches his katana before he hurts someone like Selkie or Sirius, thus allowing both to defeat him easily?
I would also add Toga's #1 Advisor. Similar to Spinner and his squad, I would really like to have the Commanders of the Regiments work with their Advisors as much as possible. So having Toga's #1 Advisor join the mix, helping Toga evade her enemies would be nice. She could even sacrifice herself to help Toga get off the island while she takes on the rest of the Heroes to prevent them from following.
Troy Parking Lot
Honestly, placing Compress' #3 Advisor/Question here would be best? They can be a flashy, dramatic fight for someone as dramatic as Aoyama until the true final boss, Kunieda, can take stage.
Takoba Stadium
Best I can think of is Geten's #1 Advisor/Baldi. Having one of the #1 rankers would at least raise Takoba's threat level beyond Gashly the Silent, and give more of the spares something to do.
Kamino Ward
Dabi's #1 Advisor/Frenzy - Frenzy is an obvious addition that I'm surprised wasn't chosen. With the only other Dabi advisor out getting Giganto, I think it'd be fitting if Dabi's #1 Advisor worked alongside his boss. I picture Frenzy as fighting Ida, uncaring about being burned by Dabi's flames due to his Quirk/insanity. It gives Ida a foe of his own to put down before being regulated to Todoroki's chauffer XD.
Central Hospital
Honestly, just add in Spinner's #3 Advisor and call it a day. I'm sorry, but to me there is zero reason why Spinner only had two of his squad with him and not bring in the last one. Just make it 3 for 3.
Jaku Ruins
Skully bein Jaku makes sense, but why not have Geten's #2 Advisor: Pink Mask to join the fray? Feels like she'd be the sort to synergize well with Skully? Maybe even be a bit of a solo fight for some of the cast, like Honenuki (perhaps she shares his skull jaw?)
Gunga Mountain Ruins
Is it bad I see Sanctum reporting to AFO on this field, and by extension the rest of Twice's Regiment? Sanctum I would imagine would be impressed by AFO's dominating leadership and knack for plans, so can see the Twice Squad effectively acting s AFO's personal back-up during the fight.
Skeptic's Cave
Why the fuck was Skeptic unguarded? Yeah, I know arrogance is probably the reason, but seriously no other Villains could be spared to look after him? As such, I'm giving him at least his #3 Advisor and Toga's #2 Advisor to look after him as added muscle. Maybe a few minor members of the PLF, but that should be about it.
-
Really wanna know what were the drafts for these 20 dudes that made Hori make so many, yet could only use so little. Still, hope this at least makes a fair bit of sense why I chose where to send them.

Hi! I saw some people saying that Hawks is gonna have a mental break, but honestly I don't see that happening currently, do you think there is a chance for that?? (I tough only him realizing that villains can be saved through Ochaco but nothing more than that maybe him been involved on the Todoroki plot but it's seems that they are now far away from him)
Maybe you are focusing on the extreme negative connotations with the word "mental break" and not really reading it for what people mean when they say that, which is:
Hawks's walls that close him off from everyone and everything and his own true emotions need to finally come down. And that happening is not going to be a fun or smooth or easy process. He needs to "break", as in, those mental walls/barriers need to break. And with that, an emotional and mental "break" should follow behind it.
I can vouch for several friends of mine who desperately want to see him cry. That's really what people mean when they say mental break. Because Hawks won't cry, he won't express hardly any emotion right now because he's not facing what he's done and what he really feels. I wrote about the villains needing to CRY and I feel the same applies to Hawks. The cathartic emotional and mental release people are wanting is because they want him to face his actions, face how he really feels about them, and challenge his way of thinking. That is not an easy process (See: Tomura), so it shouldn't just be something he casually shrugs off like no big deal. If you're thinking people are wanting a legit psychotic break then no, that's not true. And if they are, well, weird, but that's not the crowd I'm talking about here.
I'm sure you didn't want a whole thoroughly thought-out response to this but this is the consequences of your actions (jk)
You brought up Ochacko as Hawks realizing villains can be saved, and yes I agree that's a thing that should happen. Hawks killed Twice, and then proceeded to say he wants to be like Twice. That is not a normal thought process. And in the act of killing Twice, he struggled internally due to his own conflicting feelings on the Jin Bubaigawara he grew a sort of attachment to before the PLF raid, and used language indicating that he genuinely felt pretty fondly of Twice---and then proceeds to stab him in the back (literally). I highly recommend checking out @transhawks meta on the interaction between Hawks and Twice before he killed him, as it really points out some of the emotions Hawks was cycling through in that moment. Also, re-read that scene anyway because you can clearly see Hawks struggling with the situation, only to snap at the end.
So again, even within the context of fictional bnha it's not normal for Hawks to stab a guy in the back and murder him, express pretty much zero remorse about it at all, and then proceed to say you want to be like him because you like him as a person.
Hawks and Twice were put into a mirror situation of Izuku/Tomura, Shouto/Touya, Ochacko/Toga. Twice was Hawks's villain. And Hawks actually kickstarted the whole narrative of attempting to save a villain you've formed a connection with by appealing to their needs in some way and using who you are as a person to that villain. The thing about their situation is that Hawks failed. For obvious story-telling reasons, like he can't accomplish what the kids' goal is before they do, before they even get a chance to entertain the idea of it. But for character-related reasons such as Hawks refusing to face himself and be vulnerable. Twice was just openly vulnerable 24/7, but Hawks didn't let his walls come down even one bit, which was the problem in their dynamic. The problem extends beyond that because Twice is gone now, and you can see that Hawks won't even be vulnerable within himself, to himself, for himself. He just won't do it. And with these hero/villain pairs the manga has set up for the end game, vulnerability from BOTH sides plays a huge part in the kids succeeding at their goal of saving. Hawks refuses to do that, so therefore he failed.
And rather than reflecting on his time since then, what we get when Toga!Twice shows up again:
Tumblr media
is Hawks immediately resorting to killing him again, still not facing the mess of a situation it was when he did it for real back in the PLF war.
When Hawks talks about Twice in the way that he does--such as wanting to be like him and liking him as a person (yk like when he killed him), it's framed pretty ominously:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And this panel brings me to his involvement with the Todorokis.
Do I know how Hawks's involvement with Toga will lead into/tie into his involvement with the Todorokis? No, I don't and can't really see the pathway YET, but he's tied to both and it's uncharacteristic of Hori's writing style to leave things unfinished/unaddressed, so I'm confident he's going to make it happen.
Hawks and Endeavor, my god. Hawks, for lack of a better way of phrasing it, wishes Endeavor was his dad. It's coded this way, Hori doesn't go out of his way to beat the allegations either with his art:
Tumblr media
Hawks's parasocial attachment to Endeavor (who quite literally never pays any extra mind to Hawks or spares a thought toward him during this whole final arc (or ever tbh)) is not a good thing. It's not cute, it's not sweet, it's not a normal admiration. Hawks's commentary on the Todorokis, his intrusion into their conversation during the hospital chapters, his curiosity about special details (like Shouto's eye), him insisting on just supporting Endeavor literally no matter what--there is nothing positive about that. Hawks even says it himself that he admires Shouto for facing his family's problems, when Hawks never got to (through no fault of his own, but this is a testament to how he feels about the Todorokis). In a sense Hawks just...wishes Endeavor was his dad. I mean that's the most blunt way I can put it. He views Endeavor (the doll) as a source of comfort, like a child would/should their parent. Little Hawks and little Touya being placed in front of Endeavor, whose face is split evenly on the page, is not subtle. It's clear a choice has to be made, and Hawks is not the choice Endeavor is going to make. Touya is.
Now, if Horikoshi wants to write a satisfying conclusion for Hawks similar to that of the LOV setup to have an emotional catharsis moment later on, then he'll make this impact Hawks believably. That should NOT be something Hawks just shrugs off like it wasn't a big deal. Because it 100% will be/should be treated AS A BIG DEAL. He's clung to his image of Endeavor since he was a child. Endeavor the hero, who beats bad guys. Not Enji, the father who rejects heroism in the name of saving his villain son--who burned Hawks's wings and went after his mom let's not forget. That is not something we've seen Hawks contemplate internally. The whole fight Hawks is worried about Endeavor, meanwhile inside Endeavor's head he's thinking about himself or his kids. The relationship is not the two way street Hawks would want it to be. And it's gonna be made clear, and that should hurt.
So, two major things here that really shouldn't be just "¯\_(ツ)_/¯" moments for Hawks. Ochacko saving Toga (dressed as Twice) should be a pretty jarring awakening for Hawks that HE tried to save Twice, but he failed. But Ochacko is succeeding in saving Twice's friend. It should be a pretty upsetting event to look back on that situation and realize that killing Twice really wasn't the answer, or the only options, because Ochacko saving Toga (again, currentlydressed as Twice) is living proof. Hawks failed, and Twice, the guy he says he likes, is dead. Endeavor choosing family (Touya) over heroism (Keigo) should also be upsetting, because his childhood ideal Endeavor is gone.
Both of these things happening should be challenges to Hawks's thoughts and feelings about himself, and that should not be a smooth process that doesn't involve strong emotional reactions from the character. There's a LOT left to be done with Hawks and that's why people want to see it.
Am I confident that it'll happen to the level of that I am confident Tomura, Touya, and Toga will be saved? I wouldn't say I'm that high up on the confidence scale, just because Hawks has always been so weirdly handled by Horikoshi that I scratch my head at his choices with Hawks sometimes. But I AM confident they will be addressed. Hawks maintaining his cool guy demeanor would be really stupid and disappointing tbh, especially because the LOV losing their "cool" demeanor elevates their stories so well and I think Hawks deserves the same treatment.

Hello! I was thinking of trying my hand at writing todobaku and I figured I’d ask for any advice you have on the subject!
I want to make something I can be proud of and know could happen in canon. Have a great day!
I suggest to go back always to the source material to make sure that you get the character voices and dynamics feel faithful to canon.
I think a lot of people do base their character "voices" on reading a lot of fanfic and end up with a pretty distorted view of the characters' relationships, ways of emoting and generally their tone.
I also feel like in the past years, this ship has taken on a certain entrenched dynamic and tropes that have become kind of stale. If you read older TDBK/BKTD fics, the dynamic had more of a chaotic, equal energy, with good banter, fights, etc.
Lately, 80% of fics I see have the "Bakugou calls Todoroki princess" tag that comes with a certain vibe too, usually. It feels almost as if fanfic authors are afraid that if they are not using this fanon trope, their fics won't be read. I personally feel though that it's not something that needs to be forced into every fic, and I'm always happy to see someone come and bring a fresh take.
So the best advice I can give you, is to go back to the scenes that made you like TDBK, and try to capture the energy or vibe that made this pairing appealing to you. Don't try to imitate popular ships - but just go with the flow that feels natural to you.
I think for Shoto, the trick is to keep in mind his design - everything always have two sides. For every "soft" Shouto, there is always a feral one. He's dumb, but also very wise. He's kind, but can be incredibly petty. Trying to balance his different qualities is what makes his writing good.
For Katsuki, you always need to be aware which part of his "growth curve" he's on. 1-year Katsuki is drastically different from 3rd year Katsuki, and will be again different from adult Katsuki. He matures, but I imagine he keeps a part of his tsundere, bombastic personality. The edges don't go away fully, but they change. I think Katsuki at any age will use a lot of F-words, but post-PLF war Katsuki won't call his classmates "extras" anymore. These are the type of things I'd keep in mind writing him.

Again on the Advisor front and it involves the image below. In this case, this is the image made in response to Skeptic talking about those in the PLF that were Heteromorphs with a grudge against the system. Spinner's crew and Katana makes sense, Pilot Zombie and Cabbie Shark you can also kinda guess given their designs.......but why the heck is Bindi the Younger and Skully here? Are they really that Heteromorphic underneath their gear? While glad for them to get more screentime, feels as if at least Skully would have been better off being replaced by Toadman or something?
Tumblr media
Oh, that is a weird choice. I mean, Cabbie Hat guy isn't even that heteromorphic (especially when the anime can't be bothered to accurately depict how enormous he is!), and I definitely don't think Bindi the Younger is, especially not if she is actually related to Bindi the Elder, who is just Grandma-Shaped, no more or less divergent than that.
Hose Face has always felt to me like he could be heteromorphic, in that the enormous hose attached to his mask serves no useful function I've ever been able to identify. It tucks into the big satchel bag he wears at his side, but to what end? Is he breathing some substance out of there? Is it light armor worn over an elephantine trunk, but the armor reduces the trunk's mobility so he just stashes the end in the satchel to keep it from swinging around and being in the way?
When he gets thrashed by Gigantomachia, the hose gets shredded but there's no bloodspray, so it would seem he didn't have an actual limb in there. But his quirk emits from around his hands, and it doesn't seem like anyone else affected by it requires protection from it, as against e.g. Mustard's gas. So what's the deal?
It's vague enough that I'd probably swap Bindi the Younger out first, if I were just picking one. But regardless, yes, Trucker Frog should definitely have been there if they were just looking for heteromorphic advisors to throw into the shot. Maybe they just didn't have a reference on hand because they didn't actually wind up showing Trucker Frog in the anime thanks to the damn fool way they decided to depict the PLF structure back when?
Feels like they'd have ultimately been better served by just cutting a person off either end of the lines and consolidating the obvious heteromorphs. Or, better yet, just show a bunch of random rural heteromorphs as the ones with the grudge against the system, since those are the people Skeptic is actually talking about: unfairly Villainized heteromorphs or those pushed into Villainy by their untenable circumstances, ones who came to respect Spinner as a result of his visibility with the League of Villains and the PLF's subsequent pushing of his image via the posters and such.
Sure, maybe the original discrimination pushed a portion of heteromorphs towards the MLA, especially if the MLA was doing some below-the-surface outreach efforts with that crowd prior to the League hitting the scene anyway, but ultimately the group Skeptic is referring to in that scene are the people on the streets, the rioters Spinner will lead to the hospital, not the heteromorphs of the PLF, regardless of what brought the latter into the fold.
Watching the scene just to make sure we were on the same page, I notice the anime didn't include the flashback of the Spinner cosplayers, which - well, I don't know if they showed up where they should have originally (the Villain Hunt montage after Deku parts ways with All Might), and I wouldn't be surprised if they were cut, given the anime's ongoing Spinner Crimes. But one or both times, it's a damn weird cut to make, given that they're the biggest foreshadowing throughline that leads to the hospital mini-arc to begin with!
We really shouldn't have been seeing rando PLF guys there at all, other than the ones the series had already tied to that plot, but we especially shouldn't have been seeing them as stand-ins for the common civilian heteromorphs that are actually being talked about as people who will answer Spinner's call. It's Kind of Important to Shouji being able to talk them down that they're just people who've pushed too far, not members of the paramilitary quirk liberation cult!
Thanks as always for the ask!

Gonna kinda be alil organized rambling about my MHA oc Nozomi Hoshino...
◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇
I've figured out that I could split Nozomi's timeline from canon at the Overhaul arc
This is because instead of letting Big Sis Mag stay dead (aka figuring out how the LOV healer would be unable to revive a teammate within a day) Nozomi can just be there for the meeting and revive Mag then get carried off
You may ask how that may impact the rest of canon, but you see, I feel Mags might just take a lil break after glimpsing the afterlife
And everyone would still want revenge for their harmed allies
Also the League is packed into Nozomi's apartment while they find a new hideout. Which they very much don't enjoy because it's a tiny one bedroom.
and by don't enjoy, I should specify that they don't like sleeping in a chaotic pile in the tiny living room while Nozomi sleeps in their bed XD
I've also thought about the time before MVA would be easier on the League because they can just crash in the apartment and Nozomi would fund food/ new clothes with whatever savings they have.
I've also considered how to get Nozomi to Twice during the PLF/ War arc; One way being they're on the way out of the villa to visit Tomura and they happen upon Hawks and Twice. Another way is that Nozomi gets Hawks on the league's side because hearing someone else's pov on being a commission hero might help him break from their bs.
I'm leaning to the second scenario because I want to let Nozomi burn down the Commission as a treat. So instead of Redestro fucking their shit, it's Nozomi backed by Dabi and Hawks completely demolishing the disgusting establishment.
It's the villian hunt/ final arc canon that fucks me over in the long run because yes, I can succeed in keeping the League alive, but coming up with reason why the League would still end up in that situation is hard.
I could get Twice arrested with Compress, but would that mess with our sweet Toga's mindset? Would she be as vengeful with Twice's blood? Or would she be more dangerous with it because hatred doesnt seep into her quirk and thus allows her league doubles to have their quirks? Would Toga go confront Ochako after the raid?
Tomura's still fucked, but I feel like he'd fight against AFO harder because Nozomi is insufferably clung to his side trying to keep him comfortable.
Dabi is still Dabi, but he probably doesn't see Shoto's silhouette as Twice???
Also, as I said about Nozomi's quirk evolution during war arc being probably an AOE healing field, I like imagining the cave stay with AFO being funny as hell because Nozomi's just putting up the field and because they fucking HATE AFO, he gets none of the effect while everyone else is just *refreshed*. I'm sure he'd be amused by it...
But yea, I'm alil stumped by the final arc also because my sweet healer can't be in each area, and they'd rather be by Tomura's side as much as he doesn't need them by that point.
Though I feel like Tomura would be reassuring Nozomi alot during the time in the cave, like sitting outside looking at the stars with them or just squishing them in his little hiding hole
Also during that mutation scene after stars and stripes and Spinner is alil freaked, but considering going to Tomura. Yea, I know Nozomi would go running in there, unconcerned about getting hurt because Tomura's comfort is more important. I think Spinner would try to stop them at first but they'd yank away.
Also Spinner, Nozomi, and Tomura are all gaming buddies. Spinner and Nozomi would bond more at the PLF villa while Tomura's tubed. Everything after is alot of them comforting eachother because they are the two most loyal to Tomura (who also owns their hearts).
Also I really want Nozomi to fight AFO!Tomura, trying to get Tomura back in the driver's seat, but that may be alil impractical .3.
I have thought about splitting from canon later in plot, but I'm going for more of a 'the league lives' ending. Not that I'm not tempted to make a 'bad end' alt fic that's more canon compliant. If only because I would love to torture every single hero with Nozomi's vengeance. But thinking of how to get around canon is hard but fun at the same time. Especially when I think of the angst and fluff XD

The facts taking place during BNHA second year: January, February & March
So, in order to write my fic, I spend much time observing canon scenes, comparing the manga and the anime version, take note of details, translations and info in them as well as finding out how are some things called.
Since what I noticed/speculated/found out can be of use for other fic authors I thought to share as well.
OBSERVATIONS, SPECULATIONS AND ASSORTED INFO:
You might notice a special focus on the Todoroki family as all their birthdays and statuses are listed. That’s because this timeline was originally meant to focus solely on them and then I included info about the other characters.
LEGENDA:
BNHA: “Boku no Hero Academia” manga.
EM: “Endeavor mission” (エンデヴァーズ ミッション) the short story included alongside Chapter 321 in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 35, 2021.
OAV 6: "Tabidachi” (旅立ち Departure)
HS: “Hawks: SOOTHE” (ホークス: SOOTHE Hawks: Soothe) the short story in Vol. “World Heroes”.
MOVIE 3: “Boku no Hero Academia The Movie ~WORLD HEROES MISSION~” [僕 (ぼく) のヒーローアカデミア THE (ザ) MOVIE (ムービー) ~ワールドヒーローズミッション ~ My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission]
TIMELINE (JANUARY, FEBRUARY & MARCH)
ENDEAVOR AGENCY ARC
JANUARY 1: New year’s morning. Midoriya Izuku/Deku leaves for his work study. Takami Keigo/Hawks goes to the MLA bases. Todoroki Enji/Endeavor ‘welcomes’ the students that will have their work study in his agency (Todoroki Shōto, Deku and Bakugō Katsuki) then deals with Starservant and receives from Hawks a book of the meta liberation army which Hawks uses to reveal the MLA future plans to him and how they plan to attack in four months. Hawks goes to the MLA bases and the League sees Endeavor’s interns in action through a video. [BNHA Chap 243-248 It could also be that it's on this day Shigaraki Tomura/Shimura Tenko has Garaki Kyūdai start modifying his body.]
Tumblr media
EARLY JANUARY (ONE WEEK AFTER THEY STARTED THEIR WORK STUDY): Todoroki Fuyumi invites Shōto, Deku and Bakugō at her home where they learn of what happened to Shōto’s oldest brother, Todoroki Tōya/Dabi. Ending captures Todoroki Natsuo to get Endeavor to kill him. He instead freezes and the one saving Natsuo and capturing Ending are Shōto, Deku and Bakugō. [BNHA Chap 248-252]
Tumblr media
PARANORMAL LIBERATION WAR ARC
AROUND JANUARY 6: Winter break is over. [BNHA Chap 253. Usually this is the date in which it ends in Japanese schools]
AROUND JANUARY 7: School resumes. The student go on ground Alpha to train with Yagi Toshinori/All Might as Aizawa Shōta/Eraser Head and Yamada Hizashi/Present Mic go see Kurogiri and gets from him the word ‘hospital’ which the Hero commission passes to Hawks while Garaki is still experimenting on Shigaraki. Meanwhile Class A shows what they learnt in their work study. Deku, Shōto and Bakugō show how they have improved working under Endeavor. Eri’s horn starts to feel weird and Aizawa decides he’ll start training her that same week. He then meets up with All Might and tells him Tsukauchi Naomasa wants him to delay seeing Akaguro Chizome/Stain. In the evening class A has a hot-pot party. [BNHA Chap 253-257 Usually this is the date in which Japanese schools resume lessons]
Tumblr media
JANUARY 11: Todoroki Shōto turns 16.
AROUND JANUARY 14: Bubaigawara Jin/Twice asks Hawks to help him with his mission statement. Hawks has memorized how the Paranormal Liberation Front is organized. [BNHA Chap 258 One week has gone by from the hospital hint, one month from the formation of the PLF]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
JANUARY 18: Todoroki Tōya/Dabi turns 24.
WORLD HEROES MISSION ARC
LIKELY STILL IN JANUARY: Flect Turn, leader of Humarise, gives a speech in the main sanctuary of the Humarise sect involving Quirk Singularity Doomsday Theory and the extinction of humanity before triggering a Trigger Bombs in a major city, with the result everyone who has a Quirk first goes Berserk and then dies, leading tot he distruction of the city and the survival of few Quirkless people which are then approached by Humarise members. At the same time Alan Kay, flees from Humarise taking important document with himself. After it Humarise broadcast to the world that they were the ones responsible for the bombing. [Movie 3 In theory in the anime this is presented as taking place bfore Fuyumi were to invite the boys in her own home but since the twim between the boys starting their internship and Fuyumi's invitation is solely of a week I assume it took place short after]
LIKELY STILL IN JANUARY: Endeavor tests Deku, Shōto and Bakugō to see if they can take part to the operation that's being organized by the World Heroes Association. The kids pass the test and are told they'll get special stealt new suits. [EM It takes place short before the mission in Otheon though it should take place before the first Trigger bomb exploded]
Tumblr media
LIKELY STILL IN JANUARY: Endeavor, Deku, Shōto and Bakugō are at the airport about to leave for Otheon a small country in Europe when they argue for their seating places on the plane. Hawks, who's also at the airpost with Tokoyami Fumikage/Tsukuyomi as they're about to leave for America, reassigns their places so they can safely start their travel to Otheon. [OAV 6, HS It takes place short before the Heroes leave for the mission to Otheon. It's unclear if it's in the same day as when Deku and Co were tested... as it's unclear how long it took to create their new suits]
LIKELY STILL IN JANUARY: The Heroes are searching for all the 25 Humarise branches all around the world but can't find any Trigger bomb nor Flect Turn. Alan Kay is still on the run, carrying a package he plans to deliver to prevent the destruction of the world. [Movie 3]
Tumblr media
LIKELY STILL IN JANUARY: Rody Soul leaves his siblings to go to work. Stanleyk gives him the job to retrieve robbed uncut, untraceable jewelry. However Deku, Shōto and Bakugō stumble on the robbery and try to capture the thiefs. As the thiefs escape one of them managed to give the briefcase to Rody who's then chased by Deku. At the same time Beros, a Humarise agent, attacks Alan Kay while he's driving a car on the highway just as Rody is passing under it. By mistake Rody ends up picking up Alan Kay's briefcase and leaving behind his own. Deku managed to reach him and inspect his briefcase but to their surprise there are no jewels but documents. They're then encircled by the police and, as Rody escape, the police tries to kill them both, along with Berus who also attack them. They manage to escape but when Deku contacts Shōto the Otheon international news agency announces that Izuku is publicly accused of a mass murder of twelve people, notifying the entire nation that he is extremely armed and dangerous, resulting in putting him on the most wanted list. Deku and Rody goes in hiding and try to leave the country and go to Klayd. At the Otheon Police HQ, Endeavor complains to the Otheon Chief of Police with no results. His group discover Alan Kay is a defective member of Humarise who is now comatose. Shōto and Bakugō decide to reach Deku to Klayd. By night Rody dreams of his past. Rody tries to escape but he's attacked by a Humarise agent, Rogone and Beros. Deku saves him but gets injured and the two manage to escape and become frieds. [Movie 3]
THE DAY AFTER: Rody gets ahold of a nearby van and he and Deku travel on it. It's unclear if the travel lasts one full day or more but, if that's the case, during the night of that day Rody tells Deku about his Quirk. [Movie 3]
THE DAY AFTER: When Deku and Rody are close tot he border they're attacked by Berus again and by another Humarise agent, Sidero but Shōto and Bakugō save them. Inspecting the briefcase they manage to recover a chip and hid in Klayd. Humarise publicly broadcasts that they will detonate 25 Trigger Bombs in less than two hours. This causes mass panic while the Heroes try to prevent the bomb explosion. Meaniwhile Deku and Co hear Alan Kay's recording and discover Humarise's plan and how to shut down their bombs with a device created by Eddie Soul, Rody's father who was kidnapped by them. Rody drives a plane to take them to Humarise's true main base in time. Eventually they beat Humarize and Rody manages to stop the bombs. [Movie 3]
THE DAY AFTER: The leaders of Humarise are arrested and so is the chielf of police of Otheon. Deku, Shōto, Bakugō and Rody are carried to the hospital where Rody meets his siblings and Recovery Girl heals them. [Movie 3]
LIKELY THE DAY AFTER: Deku, Shōto, Bakugō and Endeavor are about to leave Otheon. Rody says bye to Deku first then goes to Stanleyk's to ask for a honest job and begins working as a bartender. [Movie 3]
MARCH: 3rd term final exam. [Usually held during the first full week of March]
MARCH (THE THIRD WEEK OF MARCH AROUND THE 25TH/26TH): Spring break starts. [Usually this is the date in which it starts in Japanese schools]
MARCH (THE DAY BEFORE THE PARANORMAL LIBERATION WAR): The students are told they'll go on a trip for their work study.
Tumblr media
MARCH (END OF THE MONTH WHEN SPRING BREAK IS ALMOST OVER): Paranormal Liberation War. Endeavor attack Jaku hospital. Dabi tries to protect Twice from Hawks attack but Twice ends up killed anyway. Dabi seriously burns Hawks’ back. Endeavor fights along with other Heroes against Shigaraki and, with the help of Shōto, Deku and Bakugō manages to seriously burn him. Dabi and the rest of the league arrive with Gigantomachia and Dabi reveals his real identity to his father and brother and in a video that’s made visible to all the world. He then fights with Shōto and seriously burns himself, though he also manages to burn his brother. Endeavor manages to knock down Gigantomachia before fainting. Shiragaki, now possessed by All for One, Dabi, Toga Himiko and Iguchi Shūichi/Spinner flew. Gigantomachia and Sako Atsuhiro/Mr Compress are captured along with most of the MLA (Geten included). A clone of Yotsubashi Rikiya/Re-Destro goes to the Hero Public Safety Commission and is attacked. He however manages to kill the president and many of the people there before melting when Twice dies. On that same night Shigaraki attacks Tartarus with his Nōmu, kills all the guards and free all the convicts. Stain take possession of some documents and escapes on his own. He's sure his lover doesn't see it that way, but having scars all along both of his wrists is convenient. Mainly because Dabi is prone to nightmares. It's not something that he found out until they moved into the PLF villa because before then Dabi was rarely ever around with the rest of them. Always made a point of avoiding spending the night with him. He hadn't been too concerned about it, Dabi has been needy for attention since they got together, had thought avoiding sleeping in his bed was because the arsonist knew he was a massive insomniac and never stayed in bed for more than an hour or two each night. Hadn't found out about it until they moved in here. Until Dabi trusted him with his real name and his past. Until he trusted him enough to show the quirk suppression cuffs he wears to bed every night and Tomura started seeing the scars all along his arms as convenient because then no one could see the permanent ring of bruises around his wrists. Because Dabi doesn't just have nightmares-- he also can't control his quirk while he's sleeping.
He doesn't have nightmares every night, but he does put on the cuffs. Woken up to whatever place he'd found to hide away in burning down around him to make a point of stealing a set off a hero and taking the precaution just in case. Tomura would honestly love to see Dabi challenge Compress to see who the better escape artist is, because he knows for a fact that Dabi can get out of the cuffs in two seconds and be throwing a punch or fireball in three even from the dead of sleep. Thinks their resident magician would be flabbergasted if he wouldn't immediately burst into proud joyful tears at the display. But Dabi, Toya, is skilled at playing long cons and wants that ace up his sleeve if he ever needs it. So no one but the two of them know about the nightmares or the cuffs.
Is absolutely certain that Dabi wouldn't want anyone to find out about this either.
This started off as him just asking if Dabi wanted him to wake him up when he had the nightmares. When he would notice his firefly letting out thin little whimpers in his sleep, or bloody tears slipping across his temples, or his breaths going shallow as his whole body started to tremble. Dabi had said yes. That's when they found out exactly how fast he could slip the cuffs and go into his fight mode from his sleep. nearly burned him twice, he had almost dusted him catching his fist instinctively, and it was quickly decided that shaking the arsonist awake was absolutely not the way to go about this. Had started trying other things, calling out to him from a safe distance, still woke violently, and then he tried to wake him more gently. Had run his hands along Dabi's skin and pressed kisses to the seams running over his cheeks and whispered sweetly in his ear. He still woke choked in the fear but with his hands on him like that, that was much closer to the fear that they liked to play with while scening.
And things had really just devolved from there.
Dabi doesn't have nightmares every night and even when he does, Tomura isn't always in the mood for this either. But tonight, well, it had been a long and frustrating series of meetings, hadn't come in until after Dabi had already turned in and even then usually avoids scening when he's in a bad mood. Never wants to risk pushing too far. But it's been enough hours that he's calm and level-headed. But there's an edge of sadism that is still sitting under his skin. Goes so well with the way Dabi likes to be afraid sometimes. The way he'll be so susceptible to as starts to hear his pet's breaths going short and fast as he flinches away from whatever specter of his past has decided to haunt him tonight as he lays tangled in their sheets. Gets off of the couch in the sitting area, abandoning the reports and files that he'd been working on once he got the two hours of sleep his body would allow him to take and makes his way back over to their bed.
Dabi doesn't react to him climbing back into it with him. Had made something warm and heavy sit behind his ribs when he saw how fast Dabi went from flinching and waking every time he slipped in or out of it at the beginning to not flinching even when he drew the other man into his chest when he rejoined him once he finished whatever he'd been working on. Never woke when he touched him lightly, would sigh in his sleep and cuddle in close after just a week or two. Didn't think he had room for love in his chest when his heart seemed so filled with hatred. Doesn't think Dabi expected to have room for it either when his is filled with the fire-bright need for revenge. And yet.
The only reaction he gets to running two fingers lightly along the line of staples curving across his chest is a whimper. Wonders if his hand is flame in his dreams or if it's a fist hitting him. His skin is still a little too hot, always feels like a fever against his, but he's not burning, not leaking smoke or spilling embers from his seams. He can put his hands against his skin without burning thanks to the cuffs. Runs his hand, four fingers slipping over his side, down to the patch of scars curving around him there. Still barely moves, head just twisting to one side, pressing into the pillows, expression pinched. Exposes more of his long neck. Well, how is he expected to resist that really.
Moves slowly, but his hand is firm as he presses along his staples, hard enough to earn him another little pained sound slipping from between his pet's lips as he presses his own to Dabi's neck. His scars are such an interesting texture under his mouth and his skin always tastes a little like smoke, salty now too as a thin sweat prickles over his body as he is lost in his nightmare. Definitely a little meaner than usual that he's not trying to wake him yet. Wants him to be hazy and drenched in the terror when he wakes. Even just the thought of that makes the sadistic thing sitting in his chest purr contentedly as he sinks his teeth into the tendon straining on Dabi's neck and earns another little whimper.
Both hands on his skin now, put his prosthetic fingers and glove on when he'd gotten out of bed earlier and puts all five of them over Dabi's hip. Takes conscious effort to activate his quirk on that hand now, and Decay spreads far more slowly than it does with his undamaged hand. Would never risk trying this with that hand. But this way? Dabi likes to be hurt as much as he likes to hurt him. Knows the pain will only intensify his dreams. Sends Decay crawling over his hip, opening a very fine spider web of cracks before he lets it go. Only enough to just have his skin flaking at the point of contact and the thin cracks just barely beading with blood.
Dabi's breaths go a little shallower and sharper, body trying to squirm away from him. Oh no, none of that. Grips the fractured skin hard enough to make him gasp and tremble as he shifts until he's pinning his pet against their bed, making room for himself between his thighs. Forces his body still. He doesn't settle his weight over Dabi, but the press of their bodies where they are touching has his muscles locking up with whatever fear is soaking his sleep-addled brain. Holds so nice and still, panicked breaths in his throat, as Tomura dips his head to his freshly broken skin and starts to lick away the blood beaded there. Dabi hisses through his teeth. Knows that his saliva must sting against the new breaks, knows it must hurt a lot more when he nips at the broken skin to force more blood up to the surface. Might not crave blood the way Toga does, but he just can't help loving the taste of Dabi's. brings one hand down his inner thigh, rubbing circles with his thumb as he puts a bruise along his hip underneath the cracks.
Knows that no matter what his dreams were about before that they're taking on the tang of fear his firefly likes now as his cock starts to harden a bit beneath his thin soft sleep pants as he works his mouth and hands over his skin. He lets out his own pleased little hum. Means that Dabi's deep enough asleep that he's going to be strung out of his terror and pleasure entwined by the time he wakes up so long as he's careful. Leaves the mark alone when it stops bleeding weakly and licks and kisses along his chest until his mouth is over one of his nipples, starts soft for just a second before he's nipping and pulling at the bud and barbell both sharply enough to have Dabi's breathing hitch weakly and his whole body starts to tremble. Makes his cock swell a little faster. Makes sure to give attention to both before he starts to press at his staples again. Fresh hurts, but does his best to be just hard enough to bruise without actually dislodging any of them. Doesn't like to do that unless his firefly is awake and begging for it. Never wants to risk doing permanent damage to his seams. Trusts Dabi to know his limits.
His breath is coming in sharp, shallow pants as Tomura catches his waistband and starts to ease his pajamas down his legs. His cock is already more than half hard, curving up enough he can see the glimmer of the metal pierced along the underside of his shaft. His pretty boy, decorated himself just about everywhere he could manage that wasn't being held together with staples. Adding his own decorations to his pet's body already, bruises and cracks along his skin. Could fuck him and paint his walls with his cum. Fill him up and press in a plug to keep him that way, knows they have one with a gem at the base. Can imagine how red his firefly will blush when he wakes up in the morning and finds himself marked up and used. How he'd beg to have it again and how his thighs would shake and the high embarrassed keen he'd make when he would ease out the plug and let cum drip out of his messy hole. Might even get tears on his cheeks if he's humiliated enough.
It's a tempting thought but Dabi's breath is already making the little hitching sounds that he knows means that he's going to get those pretty tears out of him right now if he keeps going. Besides, they have things to see to in the morning. He'll have to save that for the next time they get a morning to themselves. Presses a soft kiss to Dabi's cheek as he leans over to take the lube from the nightstand. Happy to work Dabi over for hours when he's awake, but not much point in it while he's lost in his nightmares. More effective to work him up and let him wake sharply as his pleasure and terror crest together. Slicks his flesh hand and wraps it around Dabi's cock, stroking him slowly, teasing at his piercings, just until he's completely hard and starting to squirm again. Then he eases off, trails his fingers lower. Heat drenching his veins when his pet cries out, trying to flinch away, when his fingers press and rub firmly over his rim. His breath goes even shorter, starting to really hyperventilate and he knows that's dangerous. Knows that Dabi can wake from that.
Doesn't want him to wake just yet. Wants to be inside of him before then.
So he brings his other hand to his throat and curls his fingers just tightly enough around it to force his airway mostly closed. Restricts his breaths enough to force them to slow. "Breathe," He murmurs, pressing another kiss to the bloom of Decay and bruise over his hip. "Please, baby." Loosens his grip enough to let his lover take a little deeper of a breath as he circles his rim. Immediately the breaths go fast again. Squeezes his throat again as he sinks his first finger inside. Starts to force Dabi to breathe the way he wants as he begins to open him up. Has to go slow and be careful with both tasks because his fear has made his muscles so tight. Will feel good when he's inside of him but needs him relaxed enough that he doesn't hurt him any more than he means to.
Works him open and toys with his breathing, delights as he sees his pet's cock start to drip against his stomach and his lower lip trembles every time he lets him take a breath. Only eases off his throat as he pushes in a second finger and Dabi figures out that he can take the terrified, nervous little breaths so long as they don't go too fast. Is breathing shallow and soft like a rabbit that knows it's been seen by a wolf. Any sudden movement will be agony and death. But Dabi likes agony when he's awake. Can't pull a staple while he's out, so instead he moves to just below where the line of them curves over his chest and bites.
His satisfaction is threefold as he feels Dabi's spend spill a little too hot against where their skin is pressed together as his breath finally gives the last surrendering hitch before there are bloody tears leaking out from behind his closed eyes. Doesn't wake even when he cums. Oh, that purring predator is only going more satisfied and smug. Must have been dreaming about the fire. Always harder to wake him when he dreams of that night. Wonder if it's because his body knows it wasn't supposed to wake up again after going through all of that. His teeth leave a vibrant bruise just beneath his staples before he shifts again.
Would give Dabi three fingers usually, if he didn't want his firefly sore, but he wants to watch him trying not to wince or limp tomorrow as they work. Wants to taste the blood on his cheeks too, and wants to wrap his hand back around his oversensitive cock and force him hard again as he starts to soften. Wants him hurting in all of the best ways. Has to pull back enough to slip off his own pajama bottoms, strokes his own aching cock just long enough to smear lube along his length and then he's pressing back in close. Holds Dabi's hip tight in one hand, spreads him wide with the other as he starts to press inside. Just fast enough to make him sob weakly and try to squirm away. Fuck. Always so hot around him even with his quirk pushed deeper under his skin than usual, his muscles tightening around him so much more as his body trembles with the terror of the nightmare and pleasure tangling along his nerves. Gives himself a second to linger in his tight, perfect heat as he kisses and licks away the bloody tears on his cheeks and his hand does wrap around Dabi's cock again. Strokes him and earns another broken sob as he aches with the oversensitivity. A real sob and not the thin little whimpers from before. Means he's starting to wake.
That's what has him starting to move. Chasing his pleasure by ensuring Dabi will be falling apart when he opens his eyes as much as he is by fucking into his tight hole. Gets a hand around his hip again and digs his thumb into the broken, bruised skin, makes his firefly cry out softly. Close. Angles his thrusts the way he knows he needs to and grinds against his lover's prostate as he tugs a little roughly at Dabi's piercings. And that does it. Has pretty, fear-bright blue eyes blinking open as he cries out. Goes even tighter, whole body going rigid, and Tomura starts to move harder, faster. Makes him choke on a gasp and sob combined as he tries to reconcile what's happening to his body now, not whatever was plaguing him in his nightmares.
"Ah, T-Tomura," voice so thin. Strokes him again, just this side of too tight, gets another wave of tears, Dabi lifting his cuffed hands to his chest and trying to push him away. "S-stop, stop, please, Tomura," pleading on the sob. He doesn't, seals their mouths together instead, biting hard enough at Dabi's lips to have the seam splitting again and his pet crying even harder. Could have slipped his cuffs if he wanted. Knows that's not what he needs to say to make him stop. Hasn't snapped his fingers either. And his cock is starting to harden against his palm.
Pulls back just enough to give a mean, mocking laugh. "Look at that. Such a desperate little whore that you can't even be scared without getting hard." Fucks him deeper as he shakes his head weakly. Spilling more sounds than just those little gasps and whimpers now, pretty moans and whines coming out alongside them now too. His pretty boy already so ruined. "Could wrap my whole hand around your pretty cock and you'd cum all over yourself before you crumbled away, wouldn't you, baby?"
Dabi gives a sharper distressed sob, trying to get away from him even though he's pinned so completely and stuffed full of his cock. Shakes his head frantically. "No, no, please, Tomura, please don't,"
"Not going to tear you apart, firefly," tone still mean and mocking. Makes his pet's insides twitch and stops him trying to get away. Rocks up into his fist instead. "I like my playthings bleeding and bruised, not broken." Digs his thumb back into the wound he left over his hip as he fucks into his lover even rougher. "Guess I'll have to settle for you."
Rejection is one of the things that's dangerous to play with. Could send Dabi deep into his subspace and absolutely desperate to get his approval, or genuinely distress him enough to have him trying to pull back and stop playing. Thinks he's gotten pretty good about figuring out which reaction it's going to elicit over the past few months. Watches his blue eyes go so sharply hurt, his body tight and shaking as fresh tears pour down his cheeks. Makes the cutest little distressed noise. Scared in a whole new way. Knows that it's the type of fear Dabi wants because he's completely hard in his hand again.
"Please sir," voice barely above a whisper.
"Are you going to keep talking back to me, or are you going to behave yourself," fucks into him particularly roughly. The pleasure of that movement enveloping his cock in hot, wet friction is as good as watching Dabi try so hard not to wince or try to pull away again as he's sure it sends an ache through his skin. "Like a good whore?"
"I'll be good," he sobs weakly. "Please,"
"I don't believe you," and he slows, starts to pull out.
Dabi cries out desperately cuffed hands scrabbling at his chest to try and figure out how to keep him close, his legs wrapping around his hips and trying to pull him deeper. "Please, please, sir! I'll be good, take everything you give me, please don't go," Crying so hard now, clinging to him as best he can. Can't even get his head clear enough to get out of the cuffs so he can hold onto him properly. So scared, and cute, and needy. Could still pull out, bring himself off and paint his spend all across Dabi's thighs and ass. Would keep him in this hazy cocktail of desperation and fear for even longer. But it is late, they have places to be in the morning, and his baby is already so upset. Wants those emotions to peak and fall away.
Pulls nearly all the way out and Dabi makes such an unhappy sound. makes it better for him in the next second as he snaps his hips forward hard enough to have his lover's head thrown back on a loud, wavering moan. Clenches so tight around him. Fuck. Been holding off his pleasure for so long already. Usually likes to get Dabi off again while he's inside of him. Oh well, will still make him feel good. Fucks his lover hard, chases his own completion, stops stroking Dabi's cock. Going to make him wait for it. Doesn't think his firefly even cares right now. More terrified of being abandoned than being left wanting. Is trying to squeeze his muscles tighter around him, to rock back into his thrusts, trying to kiss and lick along the scars he's clawed into his own throat because he knows that makes his skin go tight. Fine. Not a hardship to fuck him rough enough he's fairly certain there will be bruises littered across his ass and thighs before he pushes in deep and lets his orgasm crash over him. The pleasure of that is so instant, has him tucking his face against Dabi's throat, breathes uneven for a minute as he comes down from it. Always worth holding off for how good it feels when he finally lets go.
But he's not finished with his pet. Instead reaches to hook one arm around his waist, pulls him in tight, keeping their hips flush. Can ignore the way his tight heat is starting to feel overwhelming if it keeps Dabi full as he teases two fingers so lightly between the ladder of piercings lining his pretty boy's cock.
"So fucking needy, aren't you, baby boy? Already made such a mess all over your stomach while you were sleeping. Barely woke up and now you're already desperate and dripping?" Clicks his tongue. Dabi whimpers, trying to hide his face, stained with tears and blush, against the pillows. But he is dripping again already. Not really fair to mock him for it, has been doing everything he can to make him desperate. Just needs to do a little more to have Dabi over the edge again. It stings his nerves, but he rolls his hips into his lovers. The movement is obscenely wet as his cock moves through his cum and he's able to rub against Dabi's prostate again. Laughs, low and mean, when Dabi gives another loud moan as tears drip across his cheeks. "Going to cum again, aren't you?'
Dabi's bleeding lip trembles. can see him struggling. Might want to hold off but it's already been so much, already thin from the nightmare too. "...yes sir." He waits. "Please let me," Better. Rubs a single finger over his slit, smearing the bead of pre there over his head.
"Alright, firefly, you can cum," doesn't stroke him again though. Still trembling and terrified, sure that the permission has strings. Gives him some to make good on that promise of his fear. "Just have to admit what you are."
Dabi doesn't say anything for a minute, blushing so hotly, would be pouring smoke, he's sure, if not for the cuffs.
"Can't even follow the most basic commands," he says with flat disgust, starts to pull out again and Dabi's legs tighten around his hips again as he gives a little sob before he can even try to catch his breath to speak.
"Your whore, your plaything, desperate. Do anything you want, sir, please--"
So fucking cute like this. Only just manages to keep his expression impassive before he brings his hand back to his cock. Doesn't wrap it around him, doesn't stroke. Catches the edge of the piercing closest to his base and gives it a slow tug as he murmurs, "Pathetic," and that's enough. Has his balls going tight and him spilling all over his stomach again with a whimper. Then Dabi is all limp and loose-limbed against the sheets. His eyes are puffy from crying and half-lidded and dazed. Can't stop himself from pressing more kisses against his cheeks as he finally pulls out. Doesn't get any protests this time. Isn't expecting to either.
Normally would make Dabi clean up, drink something, just make sure his pet is okay after all of that. But he knows better than to expect that much coherence out of his baby after a nightmare and that kind of wakeup call. Settles for just doing the bare minimum of wiping down his skin with a handful of tissues from the box on the nightstand before he gets them both settled back into bed. Dabi is as clingy as he can be with his wrists still cuffed. Always so desperate for affection and reassurance after a scene like this. He's more than happy to give it. Satisfied the need to hurt someone. Now just wants to make sure he didn't do any real damage. That this does what it needs to for his lover too.
"Did such a good job, baby. So pretty when you're all sleepy and needy." Presses the words against his cheeks, to the top of his head, along with soft kisses as his hands rub so gently over his skin. Dabi cuddles in even closer, burying his face against his chest, but after a minute his breath stops hitching like he's crying. Can't feel any more blood dripping against his skin. "Feel good, sweetheart?"
Gets a little nod out of his lover. Never likes to talk much afterwards.
"You still tired, precious?" Another little nod. "Okay, close your eyes, baby. No more nightmares tonight." A promise he's fairly certain he's right about. Dabi never has a fresh one after he wakes him up like this. "Stay with you just like this, keep you safe, firefly."
Gets him the softest, sweetest little sigh as the last little threads of tension slip away from Dabi's form. He holds him, strokes his hands over his skin gently. Only takes a few minutes before his breaths are evening out again and he knows his lover's asleep again. Not a hardship to stay in bed with him for the rest of the night. Was definitely a good way to wake up his pet, to get him settled enough to go back to sleep. A bonus, then, that having the echoes of his pleasure weighing down his nerves and the mean thing hiding behind his ribs sated, is drawing him down into sleep as well.
Thank you for your submission!

Not to spoile the final MHA chapter, but it actually does makw me apreciate the ending of SE's manga lol
(I still have another question I have been slow at answering about My Hero Academia, and I will get to answering it soon--and now that the manga is reaching its final chapter Sunday, I will post that answer after the final chapter is released.)
I did read the spoilers online.
I do not like this ending, but as I say below, it is an ending that does match the overall philosophy this manga has had since Chapter 1. And even as I dislike this ending, I do appreciate and even like or love some of the details, whether stuff from the earliest chapters that get payoff, long-term setup-and-payoff by Horikoshi (that one scene right before the PLF War finally gets payoff in this chapter), parallels between the very first chapter and this final chapter.
But I don't like how abrupt and fast certain details are. I can appreciate the final chapter showing the actual work done to make the world a better place; I despise how the final chapter skips over significant steps in the work to be done to make the world a better place to just show, "And the characters managed to succeed at their goals!" No--I am here to see the struggle to make that better world, I don't want to just skip to, "And now things are better!" I know this is a bizarre comparison, but even Wakko's Wish made sure to hold your hand and take you through how things got better for the characters. This ending is just, "And now so-and-so is super famous!" No--show me how they got to be famous, show me how they made that accomplishment, created that program, improved the world--don't tell me, give me that story.
I'm not sure how I feel about Izuku's ending. It answers a long-term problem that has been there since Chapter 1, and I don't think this solution actually addresses the underlying problem that has been there since Chapter 1, especially as it replaces one form of inequality with another.
I don't like the refusal to acknowledge the work certain characters did, how their contributions are overshadowed, that we don't get to see how certain characters got to be so well loved and famous--again, show us the work done, don't just skip to, "And now things are better!" I don't appreciate how undervalued Izuku seems.
And a lot of my disappointment with this ending and this manga overall is just my own fault: I have had a decade to get to work with a friend on My Hero Academia fics and headcanon that it is difficult for me to accept this ending when my own headcanon is what I prefer. (Don't even get me started on how much I prefer the ships my friend and I have compared to the lackluster ships this manga and its final chapter go with or imply or just edge close to then whiff and don't commit to.) This chapter is going to please a lot of people; it's not going to please other people.
Also, the confirmed deaths leave a sour taste in my mouth. Like where Izuku ends up, that fits what is Horikoshi's philosophy, but, first, I am disliking his philosophy more and more, and second, that doesn't change that the logic ("This character totally can survive this fatal injury, but this character doesn't") fails at being believable, whether in terms of worldbuilding or philosophical meaning. As a certain someone on Tumblr has done a really good job pointing out, the choices to kill off certain characters undermines a lot of the messaging, and it doesn't help that it produces "bury your gays," "lost Lenore," "stuffed in the fridge" tropes that use the deaths of LGBTQ+ and girl and women characters to further the character progression of mostly cishet or cishet-coded or boy or men characters.
I also don't like which deaths are confirmed or strongly hinted at, with zero closure for certain characters and a refusal to permit page space to emphasize, "This character is dead, this is the last pin we are putting on who they were, what they meant to these characters." The same goes for how this manga ignored what Midnight's death meant to Aizawa and Mic, but if I start talking about that, then I'd have to talk about MHA Vigilantes as well and how that series had a far worse ending than My Hero Academia, and this post is already long enough.
All of that being said: this ending is better than that of Soul Eater. (It doesn't help that both Soul Eater and MHA ended their manga run right around my birthday, so, yay, another disappointing manga ending to celebrate another revolution around the sun--FML.) And it's a hell of a way better than Fire Force. Soul Eater ended with the worst jokes because Ohkubo cannot commit to a serious moment without undercutting it with the worst kind of joke: it's not even that he allows some needed levity with a joke that is appropriate for the situation and actually helps reinforce the point he was making, he literally went from, "My friend has had a life of trauma and now remains with that trauma for eternity to protect others," to, "LOL boobs and groping girls." Fire Force shat all over the meaning of Soul Eater, undermining the point of the latter and screwing over the potential message of the former. But My Hero Academia at least ended with a reinforcement of some of its key principles: a hero can appear where you don't expect it, don't judge a book by its cover, teamwork is needed rather than only individualism, discrimination sucks and should be shunned and shamed, and the world is not fair but that doesn't mean we can afford to not make it more fair and equitable so don't give up, improvise to do what you can to help others, and keep moving forward.
...Also, I really do not like the designs on the last page. My complaint here is similar to how I complain about the designs of Bungo Stray Dogs when showing a change in ages for characters: the designs on the last pages of My Hero Academia just look off-model, not like the characters are older. I have a major hang-up about that detail, and I'll talk about it after Sunday, but I really do not like when illustrators don't know how to draw their own characters.
(Sidebar: This is not only about Horikoshi: I'm also glaring at Ohkubo and those new art museums pieces of the Soul Eater characters. If those are supposed to be older Maka et al, then I don't know what is wrong with Ohkubo's stylistic preferences because he just refuses to make anything look consistent. I know Ohkubo's art style has changed a lot over the years--but pick a style and stick with it: between the manga and the anime and now these new art pieces, Maka has had at least eight [insert Death the Kid reference] designs--early manga, the first anime, the Baba Yaga Arc, the final arc, the NOT manga, the NOT anime, the Fire Force-era Twitter art, and now these museum pieces. And none of them look enough alike to work as a progression in his art style.)
Also, Mineta never paid for his crimes--horrible ending to this manga.

Person who sent me ask about the HPSC scene - the thing is, the scene is filler.
While I am willing to make jokes, it's contradicting things. There's no way in hell Hawks didn't manage tell them there is a Redestro at Gunga given they connected him to the PLF; and since the very end of the Deika raid, Redestro has been at Central Hospital.

There was two of Redestro from the start. The moment Hawks realized Yotsubashi was already in the Central Hospital. So the initial intelligence would have stated that - the anime was wrong.

Here's proof the public knew of what happened to the CEO as in he was hurt badly. The HPSC would have known that at the exact same time time the CEO was in the hospital, there was one interacting with Hawks after the first intelligence transfer.

So no, either that Hero in the anime wasn't briefed, or the surprise was that their guess about the actual clone is wrong. Either way, they knew there were too.
I fully believe Hawks didn't plan the HPSC downfall by not telling them. We can blame Hawks for a lot of things that went wrong in the raid, but Hawks did not coldly destroy the HPSC by omitting information. The anime's expansion of the scene caused a contradiction in what has been presented to us. Therefore, outside the "Madame President is dead" aspect because I think they with consulted with Horikoshi on that, the scene is filler.
