babydaddy!jj always came back to you, or at least found his way back. in some special way that made you feel warm inside, he considered you his light— christ, you were the woman who carried and birthed his baby. you'd always be his light, through thick and thin you were the woman he'll retreat back to in the end.

so, it's no surprise when on a random friday night at one a.m. that he's at your doorstep. he's wearing his typical gray muscle shirt that's original color is beginning to fade— with a pair of cargo shorts to go along with it. of course you open it, he'd probably stopped by to do his annual three-week check-up on your shared baby that you'd started to think he forgot about. although your baby is long asleep now and you should blow him off, scold him for being absent in your babies life after during the creation of your sweet girl all he'd done was promise he'd be there, hell even hit him. he'd left you alone a quarter of your pregnancy, returning and playing 'dad' role all of a sudden once your baby was due.

you've rehearsed this exact scene in your head more times than you can count. while you were holding your babygirl for the first time and he hadn't been there, you'd lined up words that never even had been in your vocabulary to cuss him out once he came around, your anger and sadness balanced perfectly. instead of marching down to john b's where you knew he'd possibly be, you exchanged all those emotions for love and comfort for your daughter. she'd deserve that.

your face falls, as he stands on your doorstep. you’re tired, as you open the door— tired of his empty promises and tired of him coming back again and again to repeat the same cycle. but your heart skips a beat at the sight of him, a mix of anger, sadness and relief coursing through you. “come to pay us a visit?” you speak up with a quirk of your eyebrow, arms folded over your chest. he shrugs, his gaze flickering over you — taking in how your frame, now curvier, looks in those clothes, his eyes lingering a fraction longer than you would expect. “yeah. figured i’d pop by, say hello.”

he pushes his hands into his pockets, gaze drifting to the window he knows is you and your little girl’s room, before returning to your face. “she sleep?” you nod. “has been for hours.” he seems to soften at that, his eyes still looking weary yet he can’t help the warmness tugging at his heart to think of his daughter tucked up in her cosy room. he hums, nodding his head. a heavy silence falls, before he’s clearing his throat to speak. “can i come in?”you nod, shifting your weight from one foot to the other, taking in the sight of him. you step aside, the door slowly swinging open.

he gives you a smirk before stepping past, brushing against you, taking in your perfume that he can recognize from many months ago from a night he'll never forget, his hand grazing yours and sending a shiver up your spine — your body betraying you with its response. the shiver doesn’t go unnoticed by him. he feels proud of himself, at how he still affects you even after all the distance. he steps fully inside, his eyes scanning your living room as you close and lock the door behind him, watching him take a couple of lazy steps around it, running a hand over the back of the couch. “place looks different.” he speaks up, before stopping to look at you. “you get some new furniture or something?” he quirks a brow, eyeing you up.

you can’t help but roll your eyes at the small talk. you can feel his gaze roaming over your body, can see how his focus lingers in key places, causing your cheeks to flush with heat from how his blue eyes rake over your curves through your thin nightshirt. you clear your throat, forcing him to meet your gaze, though it doesn’t seem to stop him much — his gaze flickering down to your bare legs. “only difference is all our babies stuff.” you simply respond, your eyes boring into his.

he chuckles lightly, finally returning his gaze to your face and meeting his eyes with yours, holding your gaze intently. “mmm, so she gets the special treatment around here now, huh?” he murmurs, taking a small step towards you. you back up against the door without much thought, his smirk spreading on his face — clearly enjoying getting a rise out of you. he takes another step. and another. he doesn’t stop until he’s in front of you, now invading your space, his body so close to yours that the fabric of your nightshirt brushes against his chest.

your breath hitches, his proximity making you dizzy. his gaze softens, his eyes drinking you in. he reaches out a hand, his thumb skimming across your lower lip, the gesture so tender that you almost forget who you’re dealing with. "course she gets special treatment, she's m'baby."

he chuckles, his laugh is soft. he leans in closer, the hand on your chin now going to grip your waist, his fingers digging into your hip. “yeah, she is.” his eyes are locked onto your own, his touch igniting a wave of familiar sensations that you'd been trying to forget for months. “she gettin' everything she needs?" he murmurs, his other hand resting against the door. he has you trapped between his arms.

“she's healthy. despite the fact her daddy been missing for months on end.” your retort is sharp, a defensive shield that you’ve built up over the months, as his hands on you and close proximity throws you momentarily off guard.

he winces at that, shaking his head. he opens his mouth, as if to say something, but stops himself. he looks torn, and for a moment, it almost makes you feel guilty. he drops his gaze, before looking up at you again, a glint of something in his eye you only just catch. a quiet moment passes, before he takes a deep breath, stepping closer, your body squished against the door as his body now presses against yours. "i ain't mean to… be gone so long, okay?"

you want to scoff at him. you want to push him off of you and tell him to leave. but the truth is that you missed him. you missed his laugh, the way he would look at you. you missed having another hand around to help with the baby, the emotional support you’d always gotten from him. you sigh, your head tilting back against the door as you look at him, your eyes searching his face — hoping to find something, anything "can't go in-n-out her life.”

he knows you’re softening. he knows he just has to keep you talking to him. he knows he just has to keep himself pressed up against you like this, his touch making you feel things you’ve tried your best to forget for so long. he watches you closely, his gaze flicking between your eyes and your lips. “then lemme stay, darlin’. lemme stay tonight.” he murmurs, moving to trace his nose along your jaw.

you can practically feel the tension leaving your body as his words wash over you, the fight leaving your eyes. your shoulders drop and you find yourself leaning into his touch, your mind screaming at you that this was a bad idea, but your body simply responding to the way he’re touching you. “stay.” you manage, voice barely above a whisper.he speaks softly, his grip on your waist tightening slightly as he ducks his head, resting his forehead against yours.

you feel every breath he takes, the scent of him filling your senses and sending your head spinning. he's so close, closer than he's been in months, and you can feel his breath warm against your skin. he closes his eyes, his voice a low rumble as he speaks again. “missed ya. missed this, missed our baby.”

with your defenses lowered and your emotional barriers crumbling, you give in to the overwhelming feeling of wanting to be close to him, needing to feel the comfort of his presence again. you nod weakly, your voice soft and vulnerable. "i missed you too. missed you and her. missed being close to you like this." you swallow hard, tilting your body towards him — silently inviting him closer.

his gaze softens as he takes in your vulnerability, the way you’re just crumbling in front of him, the way you sound like you need him as much as he needs you. he can’t help the wave of possessiveness that washes over him. he growls softly, his arms wrapping around you tighter, pulling you more firmly against him. “m’here now, mama.” he murmurs, his lips skimming across your exposed shoulder, a small shiver running through your body as he begins to pepper you with light kisses up your neck.

the reassurance in his tone soothed you enough, at least enough to end up on your back with him in between your legs yet again.

BIGGEST lee ever, can’t even be a ler on her own.

1. Ohhhmygodd this shell is just about ticklish all over she’s so dumb… Palms, sides, stomach, neck, under-arms, back of knees, she’ll turn into a gigglebug no matter where. (ESPECIALLY her ribs…oohmygod she’ll break so fast)

2. Because of this, many of her lers (mainly Tisha), have little nicknames for her. Gigglebug, giggly, little shell, she gets flustered at all of them. She’s SUPER vulnerable to vocal teases.

3. MELTS AT BABY TALK. “Kitchy Kitchy Coooo!~ da tickle monsta gonna getchu!!!~”, “D’awwww, is da lil gigglebug ticklish? Hehe, yes she iss!!!!~”, “Tickle tickle tickle!!!~”, “Is da wittle giggly shell flustewed??? Awwww!!! Such a cootsie wootsie lil leeee~…”, and etc. That sing-song voice has her shuddering.

4. Not only is she vulnerable to verbal teases, but some physical teases REALLY get her. Somethin that makes her really squirm is counting her ribs, say, her ler (again, usually tisha) dragging a soft and fluffy feather sloowwwwly across her ribs, counting them veeerrry slowly and softly as she tries to squirm and hold back her giggles. Usually if she lets one out, the ler restarts from 1. (she HATES that she absolutely hates yhat she thinks its evil while the ler jus thinks its cute)

5. She has the nickname gigglebug for a reason….she’s super sensitive in almost all of her spots and it doesn’t take much to get her giggling. Usually she’s tickled as a way to cheer her up (or just because the ler thinks it’d be fun lol).

6. Her lee moods are VOLATILE. It doesn’t take much to put her in one but oh lord when she’s in one….She’ll be super pouty and kind of a mess with her words (cuz shes just thinkin ‘bout gettin wrecked hehe), if somebody asks what’s wrong she just kinda freezes up lol.

7. While Tisha is her main ler, she’s actually most flustered by Vee’s tickles. Because of the cold steel that Vee is made out of, the effects of her touch become amplified due to how sensitive her chubby skin is and how much of a contrast it is in temperature to her warmth (she’s super sensitive to temperature fluctuations lol).

8. On the rare occasions that she gets tag-teamed by tisha and vee, she absolutely just melts into a puddle. She gets incredibly flustered and is just a giggly mess while they wreck the chubby shell. (She loves it tho shes soooooo stupiiiddddd)

9. She is DEMOLISHED by anybody calling her cute. ESPECIALLY if they call her laugh cute. It completely destroys her she can’t recover from that. (But she does though she has the silliest little laugh)

10. Takes her a good while to recover after bein wrecked lol. She’s pretty much in shambles for a good couples hours (and her lers always tease her about it cuz she’s so silly)

BANG CHAN - CHIANA / BANANAZ

the reason for bananaz is because just like her and felix, its very rare to see one without the other!! bang and kiana tg,,, chan was the first friend kiana made at JYP and she was also new to korea (sort of) so he helped her a lot!! hes the reason she decided to continue song writing and eventually he helped her start producing some songs during trainee days too. a lot of the songs she wrote during predebut ended up being fixed a little and turned into songs for other groups. she has a HUGEE folder on chans computer filled with songs, bc shes too lazy to get her own😭(chans been begging her to leave his computer alone or at least let him get her one) no matter how much chan cares for kiana, she still gives him gray hairs when shes teasing him with seungmin.. cross that, when shes being her in general. she never listens to him which often causes her to get hurt or just annoy him😭 but he still loves our girl <3

LEE KNOW - MYUNJI

lee know also helped kiana when she first came to JYP !! not only in speaking korean , but also in dancing . when she first came she was more talented in singing than dancing so he taught her. he has a soft spot for ki and when theyre seen together ,theyre probably bullying seungmin or just being cute . lee know is always trying to steal gamcho tho which results in kiana tackling him.. kiana always teases him about being 1 inch shorter because he used to always be so much taller than her but now shes the taller one (she caught him searching up “how to get taller” once and now she never lets it go) these two are always doing dance challenges and tiktok things together (1/3 of the ones she forces to do tiktoks with her..) but having a soft spot for her doesnt really count for all the time.. its not lee know if hes not teasing a member 💁‍♀️

CHANGBIN - CHANGJI

never let changbin stand next to her.. the third tallest and the shortest member . this man will throw a tantrum if it means he doesnt have to stand next to her 😭 despite her looking like she doesnt work out, she actually goes to the gym with changbin a lot, working up those abs 💪(fans and ‘bout half of skz don’t know tho🫣🫣) . whenever chan is busy , but she has a new song she wants to show she always goes to him to see if its good . its also hard to see these two without eachother . when he first saw her he alr knew they had to be friends from how her personality was !!

HYUNJIN - 2HYUN / JINKI

she needs to let poor hyune rest💔 2/3 line of who she forces to do tiktoks with her. hes coNSTANTLY getting spammed by her, like waking up to 120+ tiktoks when hes only been sleeping for 4 hours yhat day.. kianas first victim of physical touch 💁‍♀️ bro is constantly getting attacked by hand holding , cuddles , etc.. but ignoring the bullying things kiana does to him , she still loves him v v much <3 shes his #1 hype girl, vis versa too. early debut she was over working herself very hard to make more songs for skz since 2/3 of 3racha were working on other stuff and he constantly made sure she was taking a break and eating 💔 myy 2hyun😥

OH LAWD. never let these two be together esPECIALLY if theyve had a single sip of a drink thag makes them energetic. these two actually make chan go lose hair from stress😭 theyre alr bad enough but if chan is near them,, they make it their job to make this man stressed istg‼️ but aside from that theyre actually so cute together . suprise suprise this is actually the only member predebut!kiana didnt get along with👁️, it’s not that she hated him she just,, found him hard to deal with per say and thought he hated her based off a misunderstanding (lots of angst happened during that time 🤓)

felix and kiana,, beloved kittys and sunshine’s of skz <3 no one mess with these two or else you will have to deal with hyung line (as bang chan says ) these two actually went way back and didnt even know it until 2020😭them being both 00’ line and living in sydney resulted in them being friends in their childhood, but kiana went to korea first in 2015 meaning she left felix. they found out they were childhood friends because at the dorms chan asked him about his childhood and he was talking about it and kiana was like ,, wait. had a friend that left in 2015?? short brown hair??,, and then boom🤞🏾. instead of ki forcing him to do tiktok challenges and trends , he actually brings it up to her.. meaning she cant prank him with tiktok things <\3 these two are also very affectionate with showing their love, like physical touch!! so its not rare when you seem yhem together theyre cuddling..

the last dreaded victim of being forced to do tiktoks.. seungmin and her honestly act like a fake middle school friendship with the way their constantly bullying chan,, or she’s bullying him with minho. but in all honesty they both love eachother <33 my seungji are so HDJDJDJ🥹 hes actually probably one of the ones she’s closest with as of now . somedays ( a lot ) they just sit in peace and quiet while she lays on him (or vise versa ) and read or watch videos , they honestly don’t even know how long it’s been until a member comes in and yells at them bc they’re about to miss their dinner reservation 😭 her and seungmin often do lives with eachother and try to bake/cook or play games and it’s so cute

It’s Just Hair

Summary: Based on what happened to me today, I had a bad haircut and so I cried over it. Luckily for you readers here, you have Todoroki to comfort you.

Simptober 2022 Masterlist

Whimpers and sniffles came from the closet. Shoto had only entered the room and he found that there was this high tension in it. Something was right, at this time of day you’d usually be on your bed watching your favorite TV show.

You were nowhere in sight, yet it was obvious where you were. His heart sank at the thought of you crying, he hated whenever he saw you in pain. It reminds him of the pain his mother received from his childhood.

Slowly opening the door to the closet, he saw you dive in further into the hoodie you were wearing, his hoodie. Your phone was thrown to the other side of the closet, a small hand mirror shattered but still intact to the frame, some blood was present on it as well.

You were always the type to be calm in every situation. Never letting your emotions get in the way, that was one of the things he admired about you. So what happened when you punched the mirror and threw your phone?

“(Y/n), are you al-“ He didn’t even have time to finish asking before you closed the closet door

“Leave me alone please, I don’t want anyone to see me…” Your voice cracked as you held onto the closet door shut

“Love, please we can talk this out. Just tell me what the problem is!” He pleaded, trying to pull open the closet door.

“No! Leave me alone!” Once he finally managed to rip the door open, he tacked you into a bear hug

“Just tell me what’s wrong, I hate seeing you in pain. It brings me pain as well…” He pulled down the hood and stroked the back of your hair, much to your dismay.

It seemed to make everything much more worse. You tried to pull away and pull back on the hood. Why was that. It took a good minute for Todoroki Shoto to figure out what was wrong with you. Wait when he touched your hair it was significantly different from before, significantly shorter in fact.

Cautiousy he pulled down the hold slowly, asking for your consent of course. At first you didn’t agree, but he asked so sweetly yhat you could deny your own boyfriend. Pulling back the hood, it revealed a much different hair than the one he was used to seeing everyday.

A part of him was missing your old looks and another part of him was just glad that it wasn’t really anything bad. He heard from his sister, Fuyumi that to most girls, hair is everything. So he understood a bit why you reacted so violently as you did before. Picking up your right wrist, he examined the cuts and blood dripping from your knuckles.

“I absolutely hate it. Despise it in fact!” You snarled, pulling in your hair.

It was safe for Shoto to say that this was probably the most broken and furious state he had ever seen you in. And as your boyfriend since your first year at U.A. he had seen a lot of your ugly sides.

“I hate the style, the colors, its length… I just hate everything about it!”

Shoto learned that he really one with words, instead he had his way with his actions. And so that’s exactly what he did. He pulled you into his arms and let you bawl out your eyes for God only knows how long.

You kept on ranting and ranting and ranting about how you told the hairstylist that what they did was wrong and you were hoping if they could find a way to fix it, but the stylist disapproved, not wanting to take the blame of being wrong. it only ended up in you getting kicked out of that salon palor.

Still now you were absolutely livid. How dare that stylist mess up your hair, you’ve been keeping this baby well cared for since you learned how to care for it properly and now what?! It was completely ruined. The thought alone wanted to make you die.

“Fuck I don’t what to do, I just want my old hair back!”

Speaking cautiously, “You know, your hair isn’t that bad. You still look cute in it…” Choosing carefully, “If you really don’t like it though, we can go to a better salon and get a better stylist to fix it.”

You kept silent for a while, “I’d like that actually, thanks for the compliment by the way, it does mean a lot.”

Kissing him on the cheek, he was just glad that he got to convince you to not be upset anymore over just some that could easily be fixed with a specific kind of hair quirk. Pulling you out of the closet, you both cleaned up a bit before telling the day off with a cuddle session.

We are getting really close to the scene in lost fragment of snow that was genuinely confusing in the book, and it's the scene were everyone in the circus is killed. I think what we will probably get is a scene were mana finally ends up giving into despair after he is hit and then allen is fed to a lion.

I think that with more current info, i can say for sure that sleeve earl and mana are a hybird. This will likely cause a resurgence of sleeve earl into taking over the body and becoming whole. This only lasts for a short time however and when cross confronts him after the rest of the circus has died from the audience turning into akuma(which i suppose are implied to be constantly just around the earl and is probably one of the many reasons cross warned Allen to stay away) some exchange of words or damage causes a lots of control. This damage however also hurts mana(or potentially just being forced out off control) causing him to loose even more memories as seen when mana and Allen reunite the next day.

Now i think we can agree that sleeve earl exists as a third entity, especially since her recent art exhibit interview, as she talked about the suit being a super sophisticated golem. I think in this case as with tim and lero yhat "golem" refers to AI. Id argue with the weird phrasing like helix of life and all the biotech style that magic is more often than not just more advanced technology, and wherever the noahs came from likely was, hence why they say they only seem strong because we have become so weak. This is only further shown with innocences resemblance to machines like its gear like parts and percentage resonance.

The noah memories in general i think are some kind of AI that passes through generation lines, carrying significant portions of its past forward and then fusing with a similar person in their lineage. For example early on road would have been just road, then through some means either became an AI(or was given a piece of someone that counts as one under golem, its unclear). Regardless once connected to the noah memory, it acts like a save file and becomes more sophisticated with time. It carries each life and gives all those memories, feelings and drives to a new body. So new road would remember being road, her life and everything, but also the life they had been living up until the two combined. Over time the noah memory keeps getting larger and larger to the point new experiences are so small, relatively speaking, that it overrides much more than normal. Since they are fuzed as one being they likely cant be separated without mutually assured destruction, were the current entity will die and any remains will not be the origionals, if anything remains at all. An example of this is that tyki could not be made human by Allen I their fight i the arc, despite having a blade that should destroy only part of him. Admittedly tyki is a special case though, and more tyki backstory is needed.

Changes from body to body become more subtle, but the base, which likely has a distinct core function as seen by its response to certain tasks and ideas, remains a strong aspect. This creates an almost reincarnation like effect for them, needing to only find a new body to continue.

The suit is like this, but different. I don't know how the original earl split, but i do think that some aspect of him was placed on the suit. I would like to say its the original version of the noah memories of the earl and nea got like a brand new copy, but i actually have no idea what memories he has of being past earl so its mostly a guess. Regardless the noah actually all seem to transform in some way when they get mega pissed. Im looking at you skinn, jasdevi, and tyki/joyd. So the suit is likely that kind of thing, but way more distinct and capable of acting autonomously. Since they all have different forms it makes sense that his would also be unique. They all probably represent some inner desire related to their memory. Skinn is just rage so big angry man works fine. Jasdero and devit are bonds so they want most to be one. Tyki got all fucked up before he changed so i got nothing, but it had a heavy does of sadism, which I guess is pleasure? Taking into account that killing in horrible graphic ways is his guilty pleasure it kinda makes sense.

So because of that, this sentient AI is constantly trying to pair with half a fucking brain because nea and mana only share one brain cell. Some kind of resistance from mana or strain causes him to constantly fall ill or comatose. Now to be clear on naming, sleeve earl does not refer to themselves as adam in the mirror scene nor does he refer to mana as adam, and only uses "we" when talking to mana about being the earl. Oddly enough the earls self pronouns are we, using wagashi which is kind of like the japanese equivalent of the royal we used in europe for the entirety of the series. For the record, mana in the flashbacks uses male or single they pronouns, i don't remember if he uses boku or watashi, but he uses at least one if not both.

So from this it seems millennium earl is a title, used by whatever is paired with the suit. Adam is the original name of the noah, and is the preferred name of the current earl aside from the title.

This circumstance was likely caused by the rest of the noah, who are using the earl for something related by the pillar. His separation either by accident or by intent was likely by the hands of his family trying to keep control for their ends. This is why the current earl is called a broken puppet and has so many things around him related to acting and stage plays. He is playing a role, the red clown to allens white clown as stated in the ark arc. He even wears a mask. His memories and mind have been damaged though, therefore broken. However broken puppet for both allen and the earl could also refer to a puppet that doesnt work as a double meaning, implying they can no longer be controlled or puppeted.

It is also implied that he is still unaware of this betrayal, but it is likely nea does to some degree as it would explain why he became a traitor and killed his own family. To be clear, i dont think all of the noah know everything, and i dont think they dont actually care for the earl. It seems they still genuinely follow him to their death and see him as one of their own, especially in cases like road, tyki and wisely.

Now early i said that different generations of noah would cope woth reincarnating differently. Since the earl only died once before 7000 years ago, id say resetting to a new body with only 17 years would be just smashed flat by any algorithm with that much data. However manas feelings are still the newest, and so still have an impact even on the current earl.

Now we come to resurrecting mana. How? Why? Well i dont know. But my guess is whatever part was the memories of mana for the 20 or so years he lived, or at least his memories at death, are in allen. His curse and weird hallucinations of mana seem to suggest it. Alternatively that part of his soul may have passed on, or it fuzed with the noah memory making the origional mana part of the hive and much like tyki and his noah memories cannot be seperated. Not good regardless.

As two additional things, i want to mention that hoshino is a twin and has always been obsessed with it, so having twins in her book was inevitable. What is extra weird is hoshino was actually going to be a triplet, but either her or her sister absorbed it before birth. She has mentioned it in dgm interviews and i cant PROVE it translates to anything in the plot but its suspicious. She also still list mana, nea and the earl as distinct in every book up to date in extra novels and at the start of her books. Oh and her favorite hat for the earl right now? The one featured on the most recent chapter? Has two faces on the front that are visible, and one in the back thats hidden, and the most recent art has the back face as the only one visible, angrily staring allen down. Great art foreshadowing if im right. Its also usually sleeve earl, if not exclusively, that wear it.

The second thing is mana talking about love and drive in the most recent chapter just brings up the earl having the noah memory of love or devotion or something for me. Ive written about it before but it just seems to fit. This character is all about that from the ability to fuze loved ones together to the hearts he talks with and his drives being based on grand acts of devotion, being by their side etc. Mana also loved and adopted both and dog and a homeless child and keeps talking about how the world is so beautiful despite all the bad. The earl literally acts like the whole noah clans mom by his own words and cooks for them, and both of them go out of their way to be cartoony to break tension. The earl literally goes and buys a single red rose from a poor girl while tyki pontificate on how he doesnt act like a villain. He doesnt take an umbrella because he wants to feel the rain. He talks about how what he does is in human nature and requires a connection between two people. He is even designed with his ideal colors as red and purple with white, as well as being designed after flowers. I know this probably doesnt make sense, but its stuck in my head.

What is Noom

(aka what I think Noom is – I don’t work for them)

Noom is a calorie counting weight loss app. It isn’t free and I don’t think it is very cheap, but I paid for it and forgot about it because…. yhat is how I justify spending money on myself, I erase it from my memory.

It resembles the free Myfitnesspal.com in many ways (track your food, burn more than you take it), but comes with the support of real people and specialists that you can text with through the app. I think I need these real people to answer to. I have started and stopped MyFitnessPal many times. Noom holds me more accountable. I have not yet been introduced to all these support people, but it comes with time. At first I was annoyed I didn’t get it all right away, but am now realizing that would be overwhelming and that the slow roll out helps maintain the honeymoon period longer - it is new and fun for more than a day.

Noom’s thing is that it encourages eating less calorie dense foods (foods with higher water content). Think more fruits and vegetables, broth-based soups over creamy ones, baked instead of fried, popcorn over chips, etc. No foods are off limits but there are ‘green foods’ that you should eat in large quantities (veggies, whole grains), ‘yellow foods’ that you should eat in moderate portions (beans, low-fat dairy), and ‘red foods’ that are goodies that should be eaten less frequently and in smaller proportions (everything I love – red meat, cake, etc.). But it works. I ate a ton yesterday including pizza and stayed within my calorie goal with good planning and a tough workout.

You get extra calories for working out and you have a step goal that increases each day. I have mine synched with my fitbit but still must log exercise separately.

Noom also touts its psychological based approach encouraging you to keep a long-term goal in mind and examining why that is your goal. My goal is to get to a healthy BMI. My why is for health, confidence, and to be a good role model for my daughter. They also give you daily articles about overcoming triggers, making good choices, not giving up when you are in a slump, etc. It is smart and basic. I am enjoying it. Plus there are quizzes and I love quizzes.

There are parts of the program I am not a huge fan of. I think their food database is lacking compared to myfitnesspal, their suggested recipes are terribly organized and just waste of space on the app (IMHO), and they can’t adjust their calorie suggestions for individual circumstances like mine (breastfeeding – so I just give myself permission to go over by a couple hundred cal. If necessary). But overall, I like it and plan on sticking with it.

I personally chose Noom over Weight Watchers because WW scarred me as a youth (well really one terrible lady at a weigh in was so rude to me when I was a young teen that I will NEVER GET OVER IT AND NEVER GO BACK AND YOU CAN’T MAKE ME!) and I’m not a fan of the points, I want to use calories because it just seems simpler to me.

Beginning My Design Journey I’ve never thought of myself as a designer in anyway but I knew I was stuck. When I came across this book popping up on my kindle screensaver (more than once) I was intrigued. As a health professional and a mom, I’ve encountered many different books, lectures, tools, etc aimed at improving one’s life/work. However, so many of them seem to require all or nothing options or quickly identifying and finding your “passion”. As a mom and wife with responsibilities I couldn’t just jump off a cliff with no safety net in sight so I could be happier or more fulfilled on a daily basis. This is the first guidance and way of thinking and approaching life that really resonating with me and felt real and doable. And I loved the emphasis on life as a work in progress that can be enjoyed in its many iterations — how different we might all feel if we remembered to enjoy the journey instead of assuming the happiness and contentment requires us to reach some predetermined and final destination. Great Book! This book is the first book I have read, of several, that has given me the guidance and encouragement to actually start building a life I will love living. I say "life" because the process outlined in the book applies to everything you do in moving forward in life. I am getting ready to turn 67 in 4 days. Until I read this book, I felt I had pretty much lived my life and was at a point in life when there was not much hope in trying to change things. I now have a completely new attitude and am excited about designing the years yhat await me. I have recommended this book to all my friends and family.
