One thing I’ve always been confused about is how akuma actually work. In stormy weather they are treated like a horror movie trope, able to stop an elevator, cause lights to flicker and squeeze thru the doors to get to their victim. Aurora sees it coming and is terrified of it.

There’s a few other episodes where people see the akuma and try to avoid it but nothing on that level. Most of the time it seems like no one notices them and it just quietly possesses any item it touches

Then there are also times where the akuma can be trapped like in Sabrina’s suit case and it can’t get out or possess anything.

It also seems like they can get anywhere they want fairly quickly, but s5 adds them teleporting via the horse for some reason? Like travel time was never an issue before.

How would you treat the akuma in your version?

Also while on the rant, why does everyone know they are called Akuma? In the Paris special it seems they are called Komiko… so wouldn’t Tiki and Plagg assume they were still called that? Why do they have a unique name for the evil version and why are they Japanese words for the Chinese miracle box?

Akumas are whatever the story needs them to be for the current episode. There are very few clear limits or logic to them. The only thing that stays consistent is that the akuma possesses an object, gets released once the object is broken (though what that means can change), and that the ladybug of the day needs to purify the released akuma.

Those basic elements aren't actually bad and, as I've previously mentioned, I'm not too judgmental about how OP the butterfly's power is. Does it raise a lot of question like, "why can't you use this to heal your wife?" Yes! But this is a formula show where every episode has to have a fight, so I'm willing to give them some grace and accept that the butterfly is only OP because that's how the fights stay interesting. In a more serious show, the butterfly would be heavily nerfed.

There are still things that I'm critical of, though! Things canon never should have done, so let's focus on that.

1. Akumatized objects should function like a miraculous. It has to be on you to transform you. You drop it, you detransform. None of this hiding it somewhere BS. Could even lead to cool plots like someone picking up a seemingly innocent item and BAM akuma trap!

2. The butterflies should be magical constructs. None of this needing a real butterfly nonsense. What even is that? What do you do if you don't have a butterfly on you? Can you use any butterfly? I have questions...

3. There should not be a different word for a good akuma as that also raises a lot of question. Just have the power be what it is and let the good/bad element come from how the power is used.

4. Make clear rules around where the butterflies can go, how possession works, and how powers are assigned. I'm okay with the butterflies being able to touch things without possessing them or even being able to be trapped, but when that happens, the butterfly holder should be able to dismiss them and try again. Also, when the akuma goes out of range, it should dissipate. It shouldn't be able to go rouge like we saw in Startrain when Gabriel lost the akuma because it went to London, but Max's mom still got akumatized:

Gabriel: So, that's why I lost touch with my akuma! It's too far out of range. Nathalie: There's another problem. Adrien's class is on the train, and your son is on the passenger list! Gabriel: He's up in space! And there's nothing I can do.

This is so clearly done for plot and not because of logical world building. Of course, the show undoes this in season five where Intuition has Gabriel akumatize a spaceship in an episode that's a direct followup to the events of Startrain re Max's mom, so this is basically inexcusable:

Monarch: How fortunate that an artificial intelligence can suffer so much. (corrupts a butterfly into a Megakuma) Voyage, my Megakuma! (creates a portal, teleporting his Megakuma to space to akumatize A.D.A. in her core) Bugfighter. I am Monarch. The only reason Cosmobug wants to help you is so humans can test you again and again, even if it means losing more pilots.

5. I would personally make the magical construct butterflies invisible because they move so slowly that it does seem like something people should be able to avoid. We even see that happen when the show wants to go there with things like Marinette running away from one. That just raises too many questions about why people aren't always on the lookout for these things. Between that and the akumas getting trapped in other episodes, the fact that anyone gets possessed seems hard to believe.

All of these changes would means that you have to scrap a few story ideas, but that's just how good lore works. It limits you just like gravity limits you. It's how worlds feel real.

Why are they Japanese words for the Chinese miracle box?

Why is the Chinese miracle box guarded by Tibetan monks? Why are the two most powerful miraculous in the box - the only ones we see for most of season one - based on western lore? Why does Kagami wander around in a Japanese school girl outfit even though she lives in France while her mom sticks to highly traditional clothing instead of business suits? It's because these writers seem to think that Asian things are just a cool aesthetic that can be thrown into a story to make it look/feel cool with no real thought of deeper meanings or cultural origin.

As always, I will remind you am not part of these cultures nor have I studied them extensively, so it's always possible that there's something that I missed and canon is somehow fine, but I've yet to see anyone make that argument. In fact, the more I learn, the more I judge canon and feel deeply uncomfortable with the way various Asian cultures have been represented.

Au where they have the miraculous, but after LB and Chats debut, Alya makes an update discord server as well as the Blog. Adrien doesn't go to their school, his father using the amok to stop him, but he joins the server. What's the harm in getting updates quicker than the ladyblog anyways?

Marinette joins for the same reason, as well as supporting her friend.

Alya eventually opens up a general section so people can talk, and share experiences. To bring the server together (she also finds volunteer therapist's with experience who help Akuma victims through the server cause Alyas like that). Adrien is the biggest Ladybug fan, his username is probably something like LBLove123 and Marinette is Chat's. She literally pays nitro so she can make her server name and entire server profile Chat Noir themed. They get into light hearted joke arguments about who the better Hero is, eventually Marinette wins and Adrien has to change his profile picture to some mug of Chat as a losing thingy.

All while this is happening, Lb and Chat are hiding the fact they're on the server from one another.

After like, half a year Adrien dm's marinette like "hey, so you like. Really like Chat Noir, huh?" And she goes "no. He's actually the worst and I hate him" adrien, the autistic little dumbass he is takes it as the truth and responds with "oh :(" So marinette apologises a ton and starts using tone tags. They add eachother as friends and even start playing online UMC on VC together.

Adrien really wants to meet marinette, but she responds with "how about this, when Ladybug and Chat Noir get together." And it's like a reverse crush au, so Adrien is infatuated with this girl he's never met and Marinette falls for Chat. So now, chat is trying to convince Lb to fake date him, and she (as much as she wants to say yes) says no. Because well. It's dangerous! Stuff could happen and it might not end well! Plus, it would mean LbLove123 (who only kept his name to match Marinette's) won the bet she set up in her head

Basically reverse crush online friend adrienette au while they're actually just eachothers dumbass superhero partner.

Plagg would egg him on, Tikki would warn her the risks of people online.

You know what's shit?

That I always come back to work on my explanation posts on why Alya, Plagg, and Emonette being treated unfairly and being disregarded by Maribug's writing is by now pissing me off to similar degrees as her bad treatment of Chat Noir

But that always ends in a domino effect of me putting together more of the overall narrative that ticks me off so much cause my ADD brain can't NOT look for the continuous string of the writing pattern I follow once I'm at it.

You probably can imagine that this isn't very good for my mental health and the only reason why I'm still doing it is because I have a strong suspicion on what the new story arc will do with Cerise after this agonizing hiatus, and only once the actual new story arc proves me wrong can my ADD brain let this emotional investment of 7+ years in my "comfort show" since I was a 16 rest in peace.

Being neurodivergent is exhausting of FUCK...

So I always stop writing any of the posts about the other topics and come back to my Adrichat corner because that's the "safe space" my brain is the most familiar and comfortable with by now since season 4 to make a post AT ALL that isn't running the risk of leading me down 7 new rabbit holes I can't unsee anymore afterwards...

I MISS looking into several narrative threads in this show and voicing my opinions on them. In hindsight, I regret not having done it more when it was still possible, but I feel like it should have been alright in any other normally written show to have a fan blog dedicated to a specific part of the story. I feel like I shouldn't be the one in the WRONG for having done that.

Anyway, I honestly MISS the time where I knew that Maribug's benefit and comfort weren't the only things accepted as "valid" readings of the story. From both sides. Supporters and critics/salters.

Where saying anything that isn't immediately connected to Marinette's benefit and comfort didn't need a full-blown 20 page essay post going into any detail possible to fight for the right to even be taken seriously as a realistic reading of the story at all.

I know I'm not the only one upset at this, but I wonder how many people really realized by now how batshit insane this is right now. That only the most vanilla and vague-ass posts that do their best to not in anyway say something that would be "mean" and "non-validating" to Marinette can be posted now without it automatically being categorized as at least "critical" or running the risk of getting perceived as salt or wishful-thinking.

You can't point ANYTHING out anymore without at least one person running in and either saying "You just HATE Marinette and want to see her punished! You people never care about HERRRRRRRRRR (regarding a topic that isn't about her or is her fucking JOB as a narrative tool to DO)" or "Yeah, nah, the show would never let that happen because of the Marinette bias lol"

You can't even say anything anymore about Adrien's abuse without it being either undermined to all hell because of Marinette having been bullied and needing to be a girlboss who does to others what she's declared "tortured" for, or Félix "hypocrite and victim-blamer" Fathom. Gabriel being abusive was once the most basic ass thing to talk about, what the fuck happened?? (don't answer that, I know the answer...)

The whole analysis' side of this fandom that isn't catering to Marinette was either killed or basically exiled into the "critical" or outright "salt" tag because you can't even be interested in world-building anymore without having to fight for the post's right to be taken seriously under the crushing weight of Marinette's narrative benefits and comfort.

Because mademoiselle ain't fucking interested in ANYTHING lore wise beyond what's convenient for her (not to mention the retcons), so talking about the Guardian and Kwami lore for example counts as SALT now because it automatically implies for people that Marinette isn't all that matters and her flaws of not being interest in ANYTHING might actually COUNT as flaws she should work on. I know, the fucking HORROR! 😱

I MISS writing theories, analysis posts, and speculating about this shows future plots in even the most basic "set up and pay off" manner but I know I can't because my default approach is always complementary to the main character - meaning what challenges them and the narrative the most to grow, expand, and develop. This isn't a Marinette specific thing, I ALWAYS do this.

And contrary to popular belief in this fandom, I get by perfectly fine doing that for the majority of other pieces of media I consume. It is MIRACULOUS and this damn Fandom that now genuinely did it's best to convince themselves that this level of main character centric morality and revenge porn level writing is NORMAL when it's seriously NOT.

There is a REASON why this show hardly ever gets recommended on social media the way one would think despite its success. Or why the Fan backlash is so enormous despite a solid part of the Fandom already having left long ago and the young target demographic not uniformly having a voice in the social media discourse.

Or why people actively advise others AGAINST watching the show, AGAINST forming an emotional investment, and AGAINST going anywhere near the Fandom.

Cause no fucking shit, this isn't normal.

LORE POST #1

Redesign of my Chat Noir redesign to go together with my rewrite which I will talk a lot about under the cut. I'm pretty set on this design too and will link it at the beginning of the fic when I get ten chapters completed and ready to post :3

What is different from canon, why I am changing some things, etc. Feel free to just read my thoughts around the design if you want to read my fic without any guidelines of what I'm planning so far for him

The design:

I've changed chat noir's design so it would blend in more at night. The preferred the sleek black tones over the glow in the dark green I gave him before. I take a whole lot of inspiration from the PV of miraculous ladybug in these designs so of course his hair is still floofy.

When initially designing Chat noir, the tips of his hair are darker since I really liked that trait some other redesigns gave him so I included it without making his whole head of hair black.

I got the idea to base his design off of rust and RAN with it! He still has some greens in his design but they've shifted closer to yellow green and gold for the color scheme!

I've liked the idea about the clothes in the hero designs looking more cloth like too so I've incorporated that into the design with pockets and a zipper cause I can. Since Adrien has been thinking about being a superhero for a while, his design is more thought out were it could be.

EDIT: Forgot to mention!! Ladybelle has a lil more black in her design and now chat has a little more red! :3 matching

I saw some concept art of Chat Noir with a hat at one point and I loved it so much I wanted to keep it in to a certain extent, SO Marichat moment all the way. I decided to add the bells back into his design (I missed them) and took inspiration from @/callimara's Chat Noir design.

Chat noir will still be very cat like in this and I thought it'd be funky if his feat were like a cat's

Overall it isn't much of a design change for some aspects but I really like how it turned out!

K story stuff now:

I want to get ten chapters done before I post chapters again on the first fic since I don't think I did the best job introducing what I've changed. This isn't talking about adrien agreste's life this is more his role as Chat Noir. I'll get to adrien when I get his redesign sheet finished

I've been developing for two years now and I just gotta write it out... Entirely hinging on my execution sigh

Chat noir's powers are now on a more equal footing with Ladybug's (Ladybelle now) and I'll get more indepth when I post Ladybug's redesign and stuff but basically

The miracle box is a mix mash of several miraculous's from other boxes due to an event Guardian Marianne caused. Supposedly, she unleashed the Rabbit kwami of time on the guardians in an act of defiance. Resulting in rips in time eating away the members present for such an event, burning to death in fire. Marianne managed to run away with the miraculous's she could obtain and do her best to live her life knowing what she's done.

The Ladybug and Cat miraculous are a duo pair. Strongest when used in a partnership. Many are tempted to use both at the same time for what the powers merge to become but this isn't the strongest path.

Tikki and Plagg are soulmates you could say. They aren't really romantic but they are bonded for life. Never one without the other.

They are the only miraculous pairing in the new mixmash of the guardian box. Eventually Marianne gives the responsibility to Master Fu, her lover, before the rabbit comes after her as well.

I'll talk more about the changes I've made to Tikki's character in Ladybelle's post but as a part of the Miraculous cure, something all pairing miraculous's have to purify evils and darkness, it requires both parties to be present. Usually some form of touch or communication initiates the Miraculous cure

"Pound it!"

Chat noir can use his power alone to defeat evils but it's like cauterizing a wound. He doesn't figure this out for a bit.

This is still a part of the story I'm working on but:

the miraculous of destruction gets more powerful the longer the user wields it. With techniques and familiarity, Chat noir will be able to make black pockets of nothing just from a touch. Yes I'm including this from the concept art. Though he'll only get this later down the road

Chat noir is still a form of escapism to Adrien and part of his character arc is realizing he can't rely on it like that. A large part of adrien's character I'll talk about in adrien's post ties into Chat Noir too

I'm still figuring out some plot points for him so this is where I'll end this off. But I will say I'm planning on Chat Noir getting more time with the kwamis and more of a role in the Guardian arc and guardian stuff in general

ML Pokémon

Cause now I have thoughts! 2 specifically!

1) Plagg

So, I read through the tag a bit, and while I adore the thought of Plagg being the fastest Friendship evolution ever, I also like the thought that Adrien has actually been sneaking out to Professor Fu’s lab for ages, and befriended Plagg that way. Like, Plagg’s an Eevee, but he isn’t “typical” for an Eevee. He doesn’t act “cute”, he doesn’t really want to play, he just naps a lot. He’s lazy, surly, kind of stand-offish, and just wants to do his own thing. So he keeps getting passed over for other Pokémon. But Adrien keeps showing up, and hanging out with him, just existing with Plagg on his terms, so Plagg starts to really like this kid. And then he comes to pick a Pokémon for himself, and he asks for Plagg. Who’s like, “ok, you’ve been cool, let’s try this”. Then they get home that night, and there’s shouting, and hold on, WHO is this guy yelling at his human?? What do you MEAN he has to stay here!?!? Oh, you wanna go??? You wanna start something???? Let’s go then, motherfucker-! And boom, Plagg evolves.

I have this vague idea that Gabe decides, “You want to go on a journey? Fine, prove you can handle it.” and challenges Adrien to a Pokémon battle. With his Top Coordinator Pokémon team. Adrien is hesitant to accept (he and Plagg have NEVER battled together before) but Plagg is all for it. So they fight, and while Adrien and Plagg don’t do BAD, they are definitely beginners. So Gabe is winning pretty easily, until Plagg evolves like 5 minutes in and Iron Tails his Venomoth into a wall.

(Side note, I am REALLY attached to the thought of Plagg being a partial shiny. Partial, cause normal Umbreon has yellow/gold rings, Shiny Umbreon has blue, I want there to be a mix-up in the genetics that give Plagg Green rings. If we’re going by anime rules, it isn’t that out there.)

2) Mr. Cuddly

So, other thing, loads of people have Pokémon they don’t take on their journeys. If you watch the show, Ash’s family is actually a little weird, in that they are the only family in the whole show that doesn’t have any Pokémon just hanging around, until Ash’s mom adopts that Mr. Mime. So, I could see little kid Chloé BEGGING for a Pokémon of her own, and due to either availability or trends, or convenience, she gets a little Teddiursa/Stufful, whom she names Mr. Cuddly. He’s there throughout her childhood, her emotional confidant and best friend (besides Adrien). Now, she loves this guy a lot, but she isn’t planning to take him on her journey. Cuddly is closer to a pet than a proper “partner” Pokémon, Chloé’s never really “trained” him. (Plus, Audrey has probably disparaged Cuddly as not Contest material, or made some comment about Chloé not needing such a baby-ish Pokémon or something). So, Chloé gets Pollen, says goodbye, starts out on her journey, but Mr. Cuddly goes “Oh I think the fuck not”, and follows her. His human is NOT going out there on her own, what if the Mean Lady visits when he isn’t there to make Chloé feel better? What if she gets stuck spiralling and forgets to eat again?? WHO WILL SHE CUDDLE IF MR. CUDDLY IS NOT THERE??? 

When he finally catches up, Chloé is shocked that he travelled all that way by himself just to find her, and doesn’t have the heart to try and send him away, so adds him to her team. From there, I could see a thread about whether she wants Cuddly to evolve or not. Cause Teddiursa especially is small and cute, and actually pretty perfect for certain Contests. But Ursaring and Ursaluna are definitely more battle focused Pokémon - not that they couldn’t be Contest Pokémon, but it’s a different vibe than what Chloé wants to portray (*cough*emulate*cough*). But when she realizes that battling is really more her speed … 

Also, just the mental image of Chloé sending out an Ursaring/Ursaluna called Mr. Cuddly. She tells them to use “Bear Hug”, and Cuddly suplexes the opponent.

Rival Trainer: “Hold on, that isn’t a Pokémon move!”

Chloé: “Course it was, It was a move and my Pokémon used it.”

(also, while a totally get you on limiting Hisuian variants, I think you could do most of the Hisuian evolutions just fine.)

See the Plagg thing I was somewhat comparing it to the Ash and Pikachu thing but since Eevee is a friendship evo we got Umbreon. But I can vibe with the idea of them bonding beforehand.

I do like the idea of Gabriel challenging Adrien to a battle and like. I very much don’t think Adrien should win. I think that’s even more unbelievable than the quick bond. But Adrien should do good /enough/ that Gabriel can see that Adrien is prepared as far as a newbie can be.

Also loving the Mr. Cuddly stuff hell yeah.

Regarding the Hisuian variants: I think there’s two categories here: Hisuian Evolutions and Hisuian Regional Forms.

An Evolution is like this with Ursaluna, while a form would be something like the Zorua from earlier.

The regional forms I would say are banned because they’re ancient forms Pokemon have eventually evolved past so the only people who should get them would be like. Time travelers. /maybe/ incorporate them into the Fossil system but unlikely.

Evolutions are on the table because that’s done with a specific item/circumstances that may just be lost to time, but can be accidentally discovered if someone happens across it.

In a way I feel like if Marinette had the miraculous of destruction, it could have been such a valuable learning curve/lesson? Because what if Plagg saw her tripping over nothing and stumbling and dropping things, and then her apologizing and feeling bad about it and just being like... "No???"

Like imagine if he taught her that the confidence he has, isn't because he's not clumsy or awkward, but because he IS??? He's the kwami of destruction, how could he not have accidentally caused problems in the past?

He tells her about the dinosaurs and the leaning tower of Pisa, and how he caused the destruction of so many important monuments, on accident.

He tells her the confidence is because he knows it could happen anyways, and there's a good chance it will, so why spend all your time stressing about it?

The confidence only grows when it sticks through all the fumbles.

Think about it, the more you make mistakes, the more you know that no matter what happens, you can still be confident.

You don't need to be more careful or make extra plans. You can't control the world around you, or the circumstances, no matter how you try. Like

Everyone makes mistakes and all that yeah, but the level of bonding over learning to be comfortable with your own destruction??? The mistakes you make only add to the solidity of your own confidence??? It's completely okay to mess up, and if that causes a huge mess, then so be it??? It doesn't make you a lesser person, or a mistake????

And over time, Marinette gets more confident. No matter how she trips or falls, musses her words, she knows her mistakes don't make her, that that without them she would never learn and grow. Her clumsiness is still there, but the embarrassment isn't.

And that's freeing in a way she's never felt???

Not afraid of mistakes anymore, she lets out her creative side in a way like she's never done before. Patterns, scribbles, and colors that she would never have put together before! Her fashion becoming a true expression of her boldness.

She's joining art club, and speaking up, not afraid of making a mistake or who sees it.

Comfort in her own skin, brings comfort to her life, and suddenly she's speaking with her seat mate easily???

Not necessarily speaking up to Chloe, but simply not being bothered?? There's gum on my chair, so what, I'll just move over.

She's taking Adrien's umbrella with ease, and returning it to him with a SIGNED note and macarons???

Sure, she still feels all warm and melty with him, but she's not nervous.

She leaves him homemade gifts when she feels like it, instead of plotting for his next seventy birthdays. She compliments his kindness and bravery. Encourages him, and supports him unabashedly.

She tells off Gabriel in season 1, and gives Adrien advice. About how he deserves better, because SHE KNOWS she deserves good things, so why shouldn't he deserve them too???

Adrien starts seeing her as an idol, much like he originally does with ladybug, and like the later seasons.

We get the same (or better) effect, and that just tickles me.

Because there's nothing to be embarrassed about.

My changes to Miraculous (plus my thought process)

Part 1: Magic System

For context, although I am a fan of Miraculous and know what happens in it. I’ve never watched the series past season 3 Miracle Queen. But I still want to rewrite this show, it had a lot of potential that was wasted.

Kwami are cool, and although they’re massively important to the story I feel they’re also massively wasted. I also have issues with a lot of the powers as some blatantly copy off of and overshadow the main 7, and some are also stronger than the main 7 too (looking at Fluff and Longg). And I find the threat of Kwami using their power without a holder under-utilised.

The easy and probably better answer is to scrap the Zodiac Kwami entirely. But as I like some of them I’ve elected to making the zodiac more situational and the 7 more stronger.

The way it works in my version is that since the 7 main Kwami have had centuries longer to adjust to their forms; they have the ability to be flexible in what their powers can do, given if their holder trains enough. The 12 Zodiac Kwami who are just now being given physical forms, have far weaker powers. That being said, the general rules Kwami follow in the show (cannot be seen with technology, phasing through walls ect.) all still apply.

If I add the handicap that Kwami’s can’t use their powers without their holders because it’ll cause a catastrophe, it’s not going to be treated as a joke because Kwami are literal gods now.

Also all Kwami have passive abilities, which are powers that can be used without triggering the time limit. I feel most of them are understandable except for Know, Know is basically a 6th sense type of power that lets to sense emotions and vibes.

Tikki: Kwami of Creation

With minimal training, her holder can create objects (although what object is made is random).

With sufficient training, her holders can control what object they create.

With experienced training, her holders can create living things. More energy is used to create more complex life.

Tikki also has the passive ability of Fly

Plagg: Kwami of Destruction

With minimal training, his holder can destroy objects (although the level of destruction cannot be controlled)

With sufficient training, his holder can control the level of destruction.

With experienced training, his holder can increase their own strength by destroying other objects.*

Plagg also has the passive ability of Climb

Nooroo: Kwami of Transmission

With minimal training, his holder can spectate from one place to another

With sufficient training, his holder can communicate from one place to another

With experienced training, his holder can send things from one place to another

Nooroo also has the passive ability of Flight

Note, since Creation and Destruction are the strongest, it takes longer for the holders to use their powers effectively. I think that’s a reasonable natural handicap, and it makes it more interesting to see how Ladybug and Cat Noir manoeuvre around a battle.

With the zodiac as I mentioned before; I scaled down their powers to make them more situational, and they don’t have as much creative leeway in what their powers can do. As well as they don’t appear until much later into the rewrite.

These are the only Kwami in my rewrite, since Master Fu accidentally destroyed the rest like he did in the show. Other power sources would technically exist, but not to the scale of the United Heroez; only things like the Grimoire, Guardians, mage powers (referencing the comic), and the Prodigious apply.

I find the origins of the Kwami so interesting, and I’m so confused why the only mention of it is tucked away in some comic which may or may not even be canon?? So I want to have mages be somewhat important to the story. As for the Prodigious and the Renlings; I never watched any of the specials so I don’t have an opinion on them, I guess I find them interesting? Might as well add it in.

Grimoires:

Grimoires are books containing information about the Kwami, the Miraculous, and various spells. Only Guarduans and Mages can read Grimoires without having to translate the book, as they are Miraculous text.

Guardians:

Guardians are the scholars and protectors of the Miraculous. This title is earned through a ritual that grants a person the power to read Miraculous texts, and an extended life span. If willingly or forcibly renounced, they will lose all memories relating to the Miraculous, the Kwami, the Mages and the Guardians.

Mages:

Mages are the descendants of the man who created the first ever Miraculous. They have the power to read Miraculous texts, the unique power of creating miraculous, and having the power to perform spells naturally.

The Prodigious & The Renlings:

The Prodigious is an artefact made by early Mages and Guardians to see if they could create Kwami of their own, creating the Renlings as a result. However they were deemed too unsafe and hidden away forever. Renlings still have the same powers as they do in the special, able to turn into an animal that corresponds to a human value that the holder is possessing. (I’m looking at the wiki, I could be wrong).

Long Long transforms the holder into a dragon when the holder is exhibits Justice.

Ying Ying transforms the holder into an eagle when the holder exhibits Confidence.

She She transforms the holder into a snake when the holder exhibits Courage.

Tang Tang transforms the holder into a mantis when the holder exhibits Patience.

Xiong Xiong transforms the holder into a bear when the holder exhibits Calmness.

Hou Hou transforms the holder into a monkey when the holder exhibits Compassion.

Ma Ma transforms the holder into a horse when the holder exhibits Honour.

Hu Hu transforms the holder into a tiger when the holder exhibits Discipline.

10. Turning his son into a Siri

The whole thing with Alliance was super scummy, and he basically used his son's likeness in ways that are even more disturbing than in some previous cases. But with the genetic likeness he can have Adrien's face say whatever and he used this for several of his schemes, and thats pretty f***ed up.

9. Gaslighting his son in order to hide his identity

(The Collector AND Illusion)

The fact he did this twice and purposefully acted in a way that he knew would make adrien feel terrible is pretty messed up. Sure It may not seem malicious but Gabriel never needed to go that far to hide his identity.

8. Manipulating the emotions of others for his Plans

Now this is a no brainer as this is basically what he does all the time as Hawkmoth, but in several cases he does it directly or indirectly as Gabriel, usually with teenagers. Chloé, Lila, Marinette, Kagami just to name a few.

7. Creating akuma that put his son in danger.

Yanloushi, Star train, Frozer and more. Akuma that had some involvement because of Adrien and thus put Adrien in serious danger. He rarely takes precaution to make sure his son wont be in danger from an akuma attack.

6. Creating akuma that Personally target Adrien.

Gabriel has akumatized people that had a personal interest in causing adrien harm and have even targeted himself and got adrien in the crossfire. Gabriel has shown little to no remorse in doing so as he is so sure it has little matter in it.

5. Terrorism

Creating akumas that attack the city, having destroyed paris on multiple occasions and even went international, nearly causing a nuclear bomb strike to go off in NYC, to causing a city destroying monster in Shanghai. Both incidents had Adrien in those areas, while the former may have had Gabriel send Adrien home, the later Gabriel didnt realize until After he did it. He also showed no remorse for that.

4. The use and abuse of Kwami

DOES THIS LOOK OKAY TO YOU? HE KEEPS THEM CONFINED AND USES THEM FOR THEIR POWERS. The abuse the Kwami go through is shown to actually be incredibly tiring and painful for them. I will also add the wish on here because Tikki and Plagg were forced to do it.

3. The use, abuse and Murder of Sentimonsters

During season 4, Gabriel created countless sentimonsters and snapped them out of existence. Not to mention how in season 4 and 5 he used the amok of his own son like a controller to force his will on him. Felix even was threatened almost getting his amok removed as a result. Gabriel despite having a sentison, shows no love for the sentimonsters, even mocking ladybug and Chat noir for caring about them in season 3

2. Alliance and tech addiction.

Gabriel really out did himself with using technology. All of the data collection, tracking, mental manipulation and enslavement by using the Alliance ring as his master stroke to manipulate and control others. Gabriel had used the technology to even make an AI think his pilot died just to get. the miraculous. But the true evil was in the finale where he made everyone suffer from horrific nightmares and get addicted to the alliance all to turn them into obedient slaves. Unlike with akumatization where it was the users call if they accepts. The users in alliance suffer from withdrawal and are not able to properly make a decision.

1. The Abuse of Adrien Agreste

TIME TO GO BUCK WILD. Lets get the list. Neglect, emotional black mail, Physical violence, mental abuse, SOLITARY CONFINEMENT, Attempted Akumatization, Emotional abuse, and even social abuse. And before people ask about physical abuse and say chat blanc didnt happen. It did happen, if it didnt then Marinette wouldnt have had to have fought chat blanc. In a timeline, Gabriel beat his son like a baseball back with Glee

Cause this is just healthy right? A good redeemable man right there. Ignore his COWERING SON.

Submitted prompt: An Immortal Black Cat

Not sure if this counts as a true salt prompt but here it goes(up to author interpretation to prevent Mary-sueing of the OC)(Can drop stuff as wanted)

A previous Black Cat wielder ends up moving to Paris. Thanks to magical related shenanigans(whether or not it was Miraculous related or not is up to the writer), she is immortal, with the appearance of an young teen around the age of the main cast. She is understandably alarmed when the Bubbler incident occurs, and more so when she starts piecing together that Adrien is Chat Noir.

The problem she sees is that she used to be a lot like Chat Noir when she was first starting as a wielder. She harassed her partner to the point that he snapped on her, and their team bond never recovered. She has regretted it since. Later on, she was a Ladybug as well(not particularly skilled but she was decent enough to get the job done.) During this mess, she had to deal with the exact same treatment from her partner, which made her feel even worse about her behavior with her first partner, especially when she had to kill her partner in self defense when she refused his advances one too many times.

After a few more akuma attacks, she quickly becomes alarmed about Chat when she realizes that he’s way too similar to her past self for her to ever be comfortable with, and her mind is worried as this boy could easily end up like her. It gets even worse when she starts realizing that Marinette is Ladybug, and her behavior is sliding from crushing dangerously deep into stalker territory, reminding her of herself and her past Black cat partner way too much.

Only one issue, she doesn’t want to alert anyone she’s present. Only a few councilors know she exists, and she’d like to keep the Council and Order of Guardians from learning of her existence. (She’s been so determined to avoid the Order less they decide to use her for something, she hasn’t been keeping track of them. As a result, she has NO idea that the Order has been wiped out by Feast. Her belief was that they were merely becoming more isolated as the world got more globalized, global threats that needed the Miraculous were dropping and the Council was growing better equpped to deal with those threats. Even if she did have suspicions, she wasn’t about to go to Tibet to check in case they were waiting.)

Well, she decides that she needs to step in, and hopefully steer these two back onto the right path before it gets out of hand. Only issue is doing so without alerting the Council and (Currently destroyed but doesn’t know it or Wang Fu). She also can’t meet with Marinette less she is transformed about Miraculous Magic. The reason is Tikki is too loyal to the Guardians, and she’d likely inform the Guardian about her. She has no such problems with Plagg, as he could care less about telling Fu.

Not sure where else to go from here…we go into Fix it somehow and possible Adrien Pepper if you really want to fix him, same with Marinette if you’re hoping for some Marinette salt and pepper. I’ll add more in the comments if I can figure out how specifically this OC fixes it.

Clarification: I forgot to mention this in the prompt. Like in Fairy Tail, there’s a magic council responsible for protecting the world from magical threats and dealing with magic incidents. They’re incognito though as a public organization called the Organization of Magical Occurrences and Affairs, supposedly just as a group to help people cope with any losses or injuries caused by supernatural incidents or for people to report supernatural stuff to someone who won’t laugh them out of the room.

They’re like this as they’ve been persecuted a lot by secular and religious authorities during their history. They also worked with the Guardians before they vanished, but couldn’t ever figure out why they vanished.

Class of Heroes AU: More Headcanons!!!

As a treat, folks, after which I might be done for a few days. Unless I think of something I just HAVE to share, lol. Have some more Headcanons!

*Ondine is the youngest of seven daughters. Their names are Olivia, Ophelia, Octavia, Olga, Oona and Olympia.

*She and Kagami are in Mendeliev’s class (Yen Sid in this AU.) Her classmates, especially Denise and Aurore are protective of her because of her naïveté and lack of knowledge of the surface world. They and Kim have had to get her out of dangerous situations where her curiosity got the better of her.

*Kim was raised by his two mortal fathers after his uncle’s henchmen turned him into a mortal. (His biological parents are, of course, Zeus and Hera.) He buys them a huge house once he’s successful as a hero.

*Xuppu serves as Pegasus, but he actually likes Ondine because she’s just too darn sweet. He’s always nosing Kim out of the way to receive affection from her.

*Kim was NOT very well-liked back in his hometown for his lack of control over his strength. He was often shunned and called horrible names for the accidents he caused, as well as his lack of intellectual prowess. This, and his discovering his true heritage, was what made his fathers decide to send him to the school.

*In this AU, Kagami has three younger brothers: Daisuke, Daijiro, and Daiki. True to Brave, they are demon spawn. (Their father died in battle.)

*I’m changing something from a previous post: Plagg is still Mushu, but Tikki is now Cri Kee. She is silently judging you.

*Adrien does not fence in this AU. His preferred weapon is a certain cooking implement.

*Nino has a tendency to add ‘Bibbidi-Bobbidi’ before other B words. (“What a Bibbidi-Bobbidi bummer, bro!”) Some people think it’s funny, others find it annoying.

*Ivan has mild kyphosis(I had to look this up), which causes him to slightly hunch over and have mild to moderate back pain.

*Alya works jobs at diners before and after school to bring in extra money for her family. She is one of few students who work.

*Mylene has a habit of sometimes speaking in rhyme, especially when she’s really happy about something. Ivan thinks it’s very cute. (This is a nod to the original animated film.)

*Max likes to listen to Fall Out Boy (heh) while he works on his machines. What? Nerds can like rock music! (He is Hiro Hamada, to clear up confusion!)

*He transferred to Francois Preparatory Academy from a prestigious tech institution after an…incident that he doesn’t like to talk about.

*Sabrina (Pinocchio) was part of a puppet show as a young child. She often has nightmares about the abuse she suffered there, and Aurore is needed to come comfort her.

*Cosette is incredibly close with the other four members of their band, sharing a sibling-like bond. It calls and face-times with them on a regular basis, and has introduced them to all of her new friends.

*When Lacey gets especially angry, her face turns bright red and she’ll launch into a rant in ‘fairy-speak’ (the squeaking noises that the humans hear in the TB movies). Her wings also start fluttering rapidly and she sometimes slams into the ceiling…

*When Marc was young, he accidentally struck his younger brother, Kiran, with his ice magic. Their mothers, the queens, didn’t blame him, but sadly they died in a shipwreck only a few months later. After that, the cruel royal advisor convinced Marc that he was a dangerous monster and isolated him from the kingdom and his brother.

*Zoé has a list of 65 different chores she has to do for Chloé each day. They eat up a lot of her time, but not as much since her friends started helping her. They’re working on convincing her to make Chloé do them herself.

*Denise prefers to sleep outside amongst the trees, because it reminds them of their stump back home. Simon brought them a pillow and a blanket one night because he was worried about them.

*When Reshma is agitated by something or someone, you can tell because poison ivy starts sprouting up around her feet.

*Bustier is still a suck-tastic teacher. She will scold Kim and Marinette harshly for damage they cause completely by accident (her clumsiness and his strength), she berates Ivan for bad posture despite it literally being a physical health condition, she frequently suggests that Adrien should cut his hair because it looks too feminine, she regularly threatens Alix with legal action for incidents with her kleptomania despite her almost always returning what she takes, she forces Juleka to sit in the back of the room and doesn’t often allow her to speak lest she ‘frighten’ other students, she has outright referred to Sabrina as an ‘it’ (meaning an object, a non-living piece of wood, not the pronouns, which are completely valid.) and a ‘toy’ rather than a girl, and of course, she lets Chloé get away with everything.

I’m looking for ideas for Lila and Felix, baddie and anti-hero respectively, as well as a fitting new name for Mor’du. Be sure to check out my poll about Chloé!

I just wanted to add a few things so you can understand even more why the fandom is going nuclear because of the finale:

Adrien didn't just ignore the bad things his father did. Because Gabriel's wish rewrote reality, Adrien doesn't even remember all the abuse he suffered at the hands of living under him.

The only person who does know is Marinette (who was allowed to figure out who Gabriel was instead of Adrien), but she was told by Gabriel to never tell Adrien what a massive scumbag he was in life and instead focus on the times he tried to be a good father. I'm not even being hyperbolic here. Gabriel literally told Marinette to tell Adrien to remember the times he did the bare minimum in trying to be a good father.

Even though Felix screwed over Ladybug by stealing all of the Miraculous except hers and Chat Noir's at the end of the last season, once Ladybug gets all the Miraculous back, he gets to be part of her superhero team, meaning he gets a forced redemption too.

And finally, when someone criticized Chat Noir's absence on Twitter, Thomas Astruc responded by citing the events of Chat Blanc, as if the actions of the characters in an alternate timeline was enough to justify keeping Adrien out of the conflict that was started by his own father (Link for proof: https://twitter.com/Thomas_Astruc/status/1675405463536402432).

Safe to say, absolutely nobody in the fandom is happy with the finale other than Thomas's biggest simps.

But also...yep...I am so happy to have dropped this show. Because holy shit.

This show really did have Gabriel abuse Adrien, both emotionally and physically, and literally either akumatize his son twice, showing he'll use his son even to get what he wants, or he'll endanger Adrien with akuma's literally out to hurt/kill him and in this finale alone, literally locks him in a isolation chamber, only to then turn around and have Adrien remember none of Gabriel's shit (the akumazations being the only thing that makes sense he doesn't remember cause both times those timelines were erased), just so Adrien can't have any reactions to the Hawkmoth shit and so that the show can have everyone praising Gabriel at the end.

And I just...again, I'm not going to get mad at Marinette here, she's fourteen for fucks sake and isn't the only one to know who Gabriel was by the end (you can't tell me Nathalie forgot, let alone Plagg and Tikki and Felix), but like, show really had Gabriel die doing what he does best: manipulating a child who has no idea how bad his treatment of Adrien could get (all Marinette knows is that Gabriel's controlling at best) and through the two, basically tried to reinforce Gabriel being a good dad somehow (cue coughing fit from that bullshit) while ignoring all the shit Gabriel has done.

And I am not even surprised at the Felix thing, just rolling my eyes as its honestly not as worse as the show trying to act like Gabriel's a good guy in reality. And funny Thomas Astruc brings up Chat Blanc as wasn't that the same episode that showed Gabriel as soon as he found out his son is the holder of the black cat miraculous, yeeting his child into the Eifel Tower and basically akumatizing said child after going at him emotionally and also tried to akumatize Marinette prior cause of him finding out his son is happily dating someone cause Gabriel never lets a chance to akumatize someone (mainly children) go? Funny episode for Thomas Astruc to bring up as an example of why Adrien can't fight Gabriel in the same episode that acts like he was a good person/dad.

MLB Awakening review, which btw, will DEFINITELY CONTAIN SPOILERS

Okay so first off, gonna start with the things that I undeniably ENJOYED.

1. Duh. The animation. Everything looks. HEAVENLY. I love how they used so many vast techniques of lightings for all kinds of things and situations. I especially love how glowy they made the kwamis and miraculous look. I also love how expressive the kids are. Even freaking gabriel holy shit.

2. The MUSICALS. Literally y'all can fight me on this. I know some people hate that it's a musical, but personally I've never had much problem with it. (Though season 5 is a whole other situation and I was a bit skeptical) but the movie being a musical honestly excited me. The only downside is that freaking Ce mur qui nous separe SHOULD'VE BEEN HERE.

3. The lines and comedic timing. Gotta say. Is top tier. The watermelon bit? Loved it.

4. The lore and worldbuilding, though a bit different. I actually loved it. (There are some downside but I'll write that later) up till the reveal everything is pretty well done I'd say. And y'all the interactions is to DIE FOR (and yes, i especially loved how they talked and argued like actual 14 y.o apparently people hate this a lot? So i just feel a bit compelled to add this one in. And as much as i love the show, most times it honestly feels like they'reolder than 14, which again isn't necessarily a bad thing but I remember being surprised when it was first revealed that they were actually 14). And did y'all see gabriel holy shit. That man would've won in season 2 if his powers in the movie were put on the show

5. And i love, how both the show and movie are separate existence to each other. The movie is definitely a cute little fanfic that i get to treat myself to watch to again and again.

6. Hot take, I actually don't mind the voice change as much as I though I would. Lou and elliot sound heavenly and I live them for that

Now that that's all said and done. I must say there are some things that I prefer in the show.

1. Mainly. How their powers work. Now i dont think i have much problem with hawkmoth and chat noir's powers. Cause honestly the movie was able to highlight how dangerous the power of destruction is. And how a miraculous fallen to the wrong hand could be something so devastating, two 14 yo teenagers just, realistically at least, would not have been able to defeat said villain.

But ladybug's powers however. Well. I mean does she even have one at this point? Cause in the show her power is lucky charm and she had to use her wit to defeat the akumas. In the movie however she could just. Idk jazz hands and things are fixed.

2. What the heck happened to plagg😭. Like. I mean it was funny. But seriously why the fart jokes. It was kind of unnacessary i think. Show! Plagg would've patted adrien in the back for standing up to his dad

3. You can argue on me with this one. But i honestly think Adrien's headphones hust became his character trait cause everytime he appears he always has them on💀 it's not something I hate, but it really got you wondering and again, just a bit unnecessary.

Edited and a bit of an afterthought, but as much as i love the reveal. I do feel like the Adrienette side isn't developed enough for them to readily declare that they're immediately in love with one another. And hey not to be that person screaming about loving only one side of them. But it's not even about that really. Just that we've barely seen their interactions. And the last time they talked, adrien just found out that Marinette owns a bakery. So uh. Yeah.

Ooh! Sorry, but I have to add in couple ideas that this brought to my mind

After they start dating, the fans will only know Marinette's mystery boyfriend as Buttercup

Marinette has made dolls as stand-ins for the kwamis. The original was made to model things she makes for Tikki.

Since kwamis can not be seen in videos, Tikki sometimes helps Marinette to do "special effects" or getting the "perfect camera angle".

After Marinette become a guardian, the dolls become an excellent scapegoats for all the chaos the kwamis are causing on the background while filming and/or in between shots.

Around the lines of: Marinette is explaining something, there is a sudden crash and the video is cut off. The next scene starts with Marinette placing a mouse doll covered in paint to the "timeout corner".

Most fans assume that Marinette got a pet (resulting to constant pet tax demands) or she has very destructive younger (toddler aged) sibling.

Still; "the dolls are at it again" is a fan favourite joke. There is even a occasional fan made collection of all shenanigans the dolls have caused (the said fan might be Alya).

Since Plagg doll and boyfriend Buttercup appeared around the same time, the fans think everything that is blamed on Plagg has actually been caused bf Buttercup

This includes people thinking that bf Buttercup likes to prank Marinette by leaving camembert everywhere.

" What?! This is unacceptable! The sample garment doesn't match at all! All you had to do was follow a pattern. . . Imbeciles! What am I supposed to do? The show is in three days!" He closed the painting, noticing it was one of Adrien's mom. " No, don't use him, he's completely useless. Call my assistant, She'll give you some other names." 

"He hides stuff behind the painting of mom?" Adrian whispered to Y/n. As his father left the room, their Kawamis peeked out to watch with them. 

"I love dirty secrets!" Plagg exclaimed as they walked over to the painting. 

"Right?" Alpha nodded. "adds spice to life." Adrien opened the painting to see the safe that was hidden behind it. 

"Ooh! Go on! Open it! Open it!" The two kawamis urged on. 

" I can't do it. My dad wouldn't like me going through his stuff. Besides, I don't even know the code, and my fencing class is about to start." 

"Not to mention how much trouble we'll be in if we got caught." Y/n agreed. 

"You're such a party pooper," Plagg said as the two phased through the safe door. 

"Plagg/Alpha, No!" The teens exclaimed. 

" My, my, what have we got here?" Plagg's muffled voice was heard. 

"A book on Tibet, an old flyer from a hotel, a load of junk," Alpha was heard after. 

"Come on! Where's the good stuff?" The safe door was cracked open as the two glanced at each other before opening it to see the two kawamis looking through a paper before knocking over a book, Adrien quickly catching it as they looked at the cover.

"I've seen this book somewhere before," Plagg said. "But who cares? I'm famished! I need Camembert!" 

"Why is my dad keeping this locked in a safe?" Adrien questioned, flipping through before stopping at a page with Hawkmoth on it. "Hawkmoth? What's this monster doing in a book about superheroes?" 

"We aren't sure if it's the Kawami's fault for the user's evildoings though," Y/n said. 

"Cheese!" Plagg interrupted. "Didn't you hear me?" The two gasped at the sounds of footsteps and Adrian stuffed the book in his bag as Y/n closed the picture just as Natalie and their bodyguard entered the room. 

"Adrien? Y/n? You're going to be late." Natalie scolded. 

"We were. . . looking for my homework." Adrien nervously chuckled, Y/n quickly nodding with the lie. 

"Gosh, I keep telling you to stop misplacing it so much." Y/n laughed along. 

***

"Can you believe Lila knows Prince Ali?" Rose exclaimed, Marinette passing by at Juleka and her conversation before looking at Chloé make her next tantrum as she passed her. 

"Why did Jagged Stone write a song about Lila when he could've written about me?" She grumbled, walking off with Sabrina trailing behind her with both their things in her arms. 

Nino soon passed by her talking to a few people from class, "Lila knows all of the Hollywood directors. She promised she'd mention me to Steven Basielberg himself!" 

"Lila?" Marinette asked, after catching up with Alya. 

"Yeah, she just started at our school." Alya pointed to Lila, who was on the second floor with Adrian. "She even gave me an exclusive interview for the Ladybug 'cause Ladybug saved her life once! Watch!" She showed Marinette the video of Lila in her blog. 

"She also said she's been friends with Lady Wolf too," Maya said, overhearing them and joining their side. "She offered to try and get an interview of Lady Wolf for me, how cool is she?" 

"Why is she with Adrien alone? I thought Y/n usually walks with him to class?" Marinette questioned. 

"Y/n was just with me, she had to go to talk with her biology teacher before class." 

Alya and Maya soon walked off to talk about some future collaboration as Marinette stood in suspicion, watching Adrien and Lila go in somewhere alone. 

"What's going on? I mean has this Lila girl hypnotized everyone or something? What if she's trying to steal Y/n's boyfriend now!" 

Marinette ran after the two to be led inside the library to see Adrian sitting alone at a table as she headed behind a nearby bookshelf. 

"Where is she?" She mumbled. Adrien took the book from his dad's safe out of his bag and Tikki gasps and left Marinette's purse. 

"Marinette, Adrien's book! I need to get a closer look at it." 

"Why are you so concerned about his book?" Marinette stopped talking to see Lila head to the table. "Hide, Tikki!" Tikki flew over to a bookcase right next to Adrian. 

"Now were can get going on our history homework. it's so much more fun doing it together, don't you think?" Lila noticed Adrien's book and grabs it under the book he was using to hide it. "What's that?" 

"Uh, nothing! Just stories about superheroes." Lila then put her hand on Adrien's. 

"I love superheroes!" 

Marinette gasps, "I knew it, she is trying to steal Y/n's boyfriend—   " She accidentally bumped into a book cart, pushing it by accident. Tikki watches Lila as she flips through the book turning to the page on Lady Wolf. 

"Lady Wolf!" 

"She's amazing." Adrien smiled, thinking back to their last date night.

"A girl doesn't need to wear a costume to be amazing, you know." She said, scooting her seat closer to Adrien who broke out of his daydreams from the sudden uncomfortable feelings. 

"Uh, I don't know—I mean, I— " 

"So you got a little soft spot for the wolf, huh?" 

"Me? I mean she's great, but no-no-no." 

"You know I happen to be very close friends with Lady Wolf." 

"Really?" Adrien asked, slightly confused. He'd have to ask Y/n about this later. 

"We can chat about it if you want. Not here though. Why don't we meet up at the park after school and I'll tell you everything." 

Adrian soon got an alert on his phone, "I gotta go! I've got a lesson in 58 seconds." Amid his rush, Lila caused him to drop his bag. 

"So the park?" Lila asked, pushing the book on superheroes away from Adrien's bag with her foot. 

"Uh, Sure!" He ran out before another word could be said as Lila picked up the book, opening it to a page on a fox-related heroine. 

"A vixen superheroine? Hmmm, interesting. . . " She left the library with a scheme in mind. 

"Marinette!" Tikki ran back to her. 

"I know. I gotta talk to Adrien before he meets up with Lila in the park. He has to know that she's a total thief." 

"No! You can't say anything to Adrien. I need a chance to check out the book first. If it's the one I think it is we have to get out hands on it!" 

"I don't get it? Exactly why would we need it?" 

"I'll explain to you once I know for sure. Please, we mustn't let Lila out of our sight."

"Lady Wolf and me?"  Lila grinned, Marinette watching the latest video on the Wolf Blog Maya hosts. "We're like this." 

"I bet she's lying about that."  Marinette huffed, "Does Lady Wolf even know about this?"  

"Lady Wolf know about what?"  Marinette let out an 'ah!' and jumped to the side frightened by the sudden arrival of her dear friend Y/n who was peeking over her shoulder.  

"Y/n! hey!"  

"Well. . .?"  

"What's Lady Wolf got to know?"  

"You haven't seen the video yet?"  

"Video? Oh, you mean Maya's blog. I saw the notification but I hadn't seen it yet."  Marinette handed over her phone to Y/n, playing back 10 seconds. ". . .wow."  

"She's been lying all over the place!"  Marinette let out her fusterations. "Do you actually  think she's like this?"  Marinette crossed her fingers. "With Lady Wolf?"  

{Y/n's POV} 

I haven't even met this girl as Y/n. How would Lady Wolf know her? This I gotta investigate. Marinette started looking back nervously as I glanced, realizing she must be following her. 

"oh wow I'm real late, I uh, gotta go."  Marinette sheepishly smiled pointing forward. "See you tomorrow!"  

"Wai- " She ran off before I could stop. I sighed as Alpha peeked out from my bag. 

"Didn't know you had a new BFF. Who's gonna tell Ladybug you're already cheating on her?" 

"Oh, hush. Nobody's cheating. What I'm more curious about, is why she wants to lie about this?"  

"Humans do things for popularity. That's something that hasn't changed about humans for centuries. Like that one time in the 9th century in Europe, there was this one criminal who had- " I stuffed a brownie in his tiny mouth before he can go on a long 2-hour rant about who knows what. 

"Let's just go find a place to transform."  I ran to the nearby park and went straight toward the portable bathrooms. 

"Oh c'mon, isn't this a tad dramatic? I mean there isn't even an Akuma. This is just an abuse of pow- " 

"Alpha tails out!" 

I peeked out the door in case anyone was there before sprinting out and climbing up a nearby building and bringing out my baton. If I could remember  Marinette was headed to the park, so that girl must be here too. The top of my baton slid open to reveal a screen as I used the telescoping feature to zoom in and look around the small park to see Adrien walking toward the girl. What's he doing there? I looked closer at the girl to see her through away- isn't that the miraculous book? They chatted for a while before she showed a necklace that looked awfully like the one that one superheroine had in the book. Does she plan to fake an identity? Or. . .is that real? 

Not much longer Ladybug swooped in, surprising me further. Whatever Ladybug went on about left Lila in tears before Ladybug left. I closed my baton and leaped after her. 

"Ladybug!" I called out, making her stop in confusion. 

"Lady Wolf? What are you doing out here?- Did you come out because of that blog video?" 

"Yeah, but you seemed to have handled it, a bit harshly too,"  

"I don't put up with lies." Ladybug frowned. 

"Yeah but, you left her crying. I don't think she deserved to be stomped on like that. You could have gone softer. After all. Aren't we supposed to preserve positivity in Paris? With Hawkmoth out there, a broken heart is dangerous." 

". . You're right."  Ladybug sighed. "I have to go now. See you next time." 

"Try to soften things up next time you have a run-in,"  I suggested as she swung off. I watched her before turning around to head home myself. Right before I could reach my room a meteor suddenly came in, closing in. "A meteor!?"  I exclaimed. Quickly made my way towards it only to see a flash of orange go by, a girl grabbing the meteor and sending it back out of the atmosphere. What strength. . . 

"I am Volpina!" The girl in a fox suit proclaimed out to the crowd. "The only superhero Paris needs!" 

"Volpina?" Ladybug questioned, landing next to me. 

"Looks like we've got a new partner."  Chat said, dropping on my other side. 

"Don't you think it's weird this superhero just appeared out of nowhere?"  

"Well, at least she got the job done." 

"I could have easily stopped that meteorite myself." Ladybug crossed her arms, narrowing her eyes at Chat. 

"Volpina is giving me very. . . odd vibes. She doesn't seem like a team player either." 

"Hey, guys." Volpina suddenly intruded, standing before us. "Glad you dropped in. I need a hand. Come on."  She suddenly ran ahead, the three of us exchanging confused looks before following after her. Only to lead us to a shock. 

"I can't believe it." Chat Noir stared amazed. "It's Hawkmoth, in the flesh." 

"He never shows up. Something big is going on." Ladybug said. 

"We can take him down, but it'll take all of us."  Volpina encouraged. This whole thing seems a bit rushed to me. a meteorite suddenly almost crashes, Hawkmoth is standing right there! Something tells me this little fox has something to do with it. "We better make the most of our individual talents."  

"Count on us." Chat nodded, I love him. I do. But he's too trusting. 

"Very nice to meet you, Chat Noir." Volpina suddenly got close to him, ticking me. "Cool outfit."  

"Why thanks." Chat rubbed his head bashfully. "You too." 

"Why thanks, you too."  I quietly mocked under my breath, Ladybug gagging in response. 

"First the meteorite, now Hawkmoth appearing." Ladybug listed out. "Both on the same day? Isn't that unusual?" 

"That's what I was thinking."  I agreed. 

"Why would you say that?" Volpina chortled. 

"I was asking my partners." 

"I'm finding you unusual today, everything okay?" Chat Noir asked. 

"I don't know kitty." I stepped by Ladybug's side. "Everything seems a little suspicious." Especially how that girl should be akumatized, she was crying. Hawkmoth wouldn't give up that prime chance.

"I'm fine." Ladybug reassured, before going up on Volpina. "Say Volpina, what's your miraculous?" 

"My necklace,"  Volpina answered. 

"What power does it give you?" 

"Flight and super-strength." Volpina looked over our shoulder and gasped. "He's getting away!"  Volpina flew after Hawkmoth, us catching up to see him on top of the Mayor's mansion. "Ladybug go left. Chat Noir goes right. Lady Wolf keep an eye on Hawkmoth from here, I'll come from behind." 

"No! I'll go right." Ladybug corrected. "Chat Noir and Lady Wolf from behind, and you. . . go left." 

"Fine." Volpina smiled. "No difference to me." 

"Good." Volpina leaped off to engage from the left. 

"Can you chill out?" Chat asked. "She's one of us." He left, I offered an apologetic smile before following after him. We snuck up from the right only for him not to be there. "Where did he go?" 

"There,"  I whispered, pointing to the building across from where he was. 

"I'll take him."  Chat extended his baton to go after him. 

"Wait- ugh."  I jumped after him, both of us chasing Hawkmoth. Suddenly Ladybug rang us, and we both answered into a three-way facetime. 

"Is Volpina with you guys?"  Ladybug asked. 

"No, we can't find Hawkmoth either."  Chat answered. 

"Forget him, he was never there in the first place."

"What? But we saw him?" 

"Unless it was an illusion,"  I answered. "It makes sense. The meteorite starts crashing, miss hero swoops in, and then suddenly Hawkmoth shows his face? It's too good to be true."  

"That's right. Volpina creates illusions. The Hawkmoth you saw wasn't real." 

"What are you saying?" Chat Noir looked confused. 

"She's not a real superhero, she was akumatised by Hawkmoth." We both clarified at the same time.  

"I don't get it. Why?" 

"I think it's my fault." Ladybug looked away guilty. "I humiliated her in front of a guy she liked."  

"Lila?"  

"Like?"  I raised an eyebrow, side glancing at Chat Noir who swung his arm as if trying to express he could explain. 

"She is going to his house." Ladybug cut in. "I'll send the address, meet me there."  

"You got it." Chat said as I nodded. 

"So you were spending time with a girl who likes you?" I questioned as we started heading over to the Agreste Mansion. 

"I swear I didn't know! I mean yeah I thought it was a bit weird she was getting a little close and stuff- " 

"A bit?" 

"Okay, a lot. but you know I only have eyes for you."  I sighed, I can't blame him. He's too trusting after all. 

"I'll overlook it, this time." 

We jumped into the open window in Adrien's bathroom as he changed back. 

"Wouldn't Chat Noir be more useful in this situation?" Plagg questioned. 

"If Volpina's got a thing for me, I can make her see sense."  He reasoned. 

"What, you going to do true love kiss or something," I mumbled. 

"Aw, jealous?"  Adrien started petting my ears, my tail starting to swag before I swat his hand, embarrassed. "I'm just gonna try to talk her out of it, nothing past that. Promise." 

"You really think you can take down Volpina without your powers?" Plagg doubted, "Without me?"  

"Hide, Plagg. She's coming." Adrien opened his unbuttoned shirt to let Plagg hide inside. "You too, mon chéri." I felt my cheeks start to warm at the nickname before going to hide in the bathroom to overhear and come out if I had to. 

"Adrien!" Volpina exclaimed. 

"Hey,"  Adrien awkwardly waved. "Who are you?"

"Do you remember this necklace?" Volpina lifted the pendant. I didn't know how to tell you the truth but at least this way you can see for yourself that I'm not lying. I am a superhero." 

"Lila!?" Adrien faked his surprise. 

"You can call me Volpina." 

"I'm sorry about the scene in the park earlier. Ladybug's jealous because she's not as powerful as me."  I continued to listen before my baton started to ring from my waist I hastily went to answer it before it gave me away. I moved far from the door. 

"Yeah?" I whispered. 

"Where's Chat? He's not answering?"  

"Oh um. I don't know. He disappeared on me. He'll show up soon probably." 

"Well, I'm going in the Agreste Mansion and Volpina is in here, get here now." 

"Well, actually I'm already- " Ladybug already cut off before I heard her voice in the room. 

"See what I mean?" Volpina glared. "She's jealous of me, of you, of us!" I irked at the obvious flirtation in her words. Doesn't she know he's taken? I left through the bathroom window and circled to the open window to join Ladybug. "But this time you won't ruin our date, Ladybug. And neither are you, Lady Wolf!" 

"Excuse me but it wasn't really a date. . ."  Adrien tried to correct, noticing my visible annoyance. Adrian got more nervous when Volpina turned to him. "I mean what I meant was you know I have a girlfriend and not a cheater, no need to get angry we all have miscommunications right?" Adrien finished his nervous rambles trying to keep her from pointing her staff at him. 

"Excuse us," Ladybug interrupted. "We need a chat with Super-Liar."  With Volpina distracted Adrien ran into the bathroom. "You! Stop thinking your illusions are reality!" 

"Being a homewrecker is frowned upon you know?"  I retorted. Ladybug swung her yoyo at her as Volpina jumped out of the way, sliding down Adrian's skateboard ramp. 

"Sorry, I'm late." Chat was heard behind us as he jumped in. "I had trouble finding the place." Volpina played her flute before making multiple illusions of herself. Ladybug swung her yoyo to realize they were all fake. 

"Illusions." Chat awed, seeing it first hand. 

"Chat Noir, she's taken, Adrian!" Ladybug pointed to the window. 

"That's an illusion too." Chat and I said. 

"How are you so sure?"  

"Uh, My feline sixth sense." Chat made up. "It's legendary."  

"Canine instinct, we're emotionally intelligent. Can sniff out a lie from a mile."  

"Really? You don't say."  Ladybug threw sarcasm as she opened the bathroom door. "Adrian's gone!" Ladybug rushed out as Chat sagged his shoulders with a defeated look. 

"I'm not gonna try to get outta this." 

"At least I believe you." I comforted, patting his back before going to follow after Ladybug. We found Volpina on top of the Eiffel tower, holding 'Adrien' with one hand, ready to let him fall to his doom. 

"Give me your Miraculous now, or I will."  Volpina swung up around as 'Adrien' yelled out of fright. 

"I thought you loved him!" Ladybug questioned. 

"Not as much as seeing you three defeated. No hard feelings, right?" 

"You're bluffing." Chat shouted. "It's another illusion."  

"You wanna bet on that?"  Volpina slowly let go of two fingers as Ladybug shouted, 

"NO!"  

It almost felt like an over-dramatic soap drama with how fake everything was. Not to mention the comedic point that the Adrien she thinks she has is right here as Chat Noir. And yet Ladybug was the only one agonizing over this whole ordeal. 

"Don't do it!" I shouted, stopping her before she can take off her miraculous. Chat threw his baton, making the illusion of Adrien disappear. 

"There she is!" Ladybug pointed. We climbed up to the top of the tower after her as she blew her flute, making more illusions of herself. "Lucky Charm!" A chocolate ice lolly fell into her hands, she unwrapped it wincing at the brightness of the silver inner wrap. "I've got an idea to take down Volpina."  

"With a chocolate ice lolly?" 

"Trust me." Ladybug said, she nodded at Chat. 

"Cataclysm!"  He shouted, jumping up to touch some parts of the metal tower as Ladybug lifted the wrapper open for one of the Volpina to wince, enough time to trap her in the deteriorated metal pieces. 

"Trapped, like a fox." Ladybug taunted as I grabbed the pendant from Volpina. 

"The honors?" I held it out for her. 

"Thank you."  She took it and smashed it on the ground. "Your days are over, Akuma." I stepped back to watch Ladybug open the yoyo to do her thing with a grin. "Time to de-evilise!" She captured the Akuma. "Gotcha! Bye-bye, little butterfly." We watched the pure butterfly fly away. "Miraculous Ladybug!"  Everything turned back to how it was before. 

I gestured towards the recovered Lila, letting Ladybug take the hint as she nodded. 

"Lila?" She called out. 

"Ladybug?"  

"I totally overreacted." Ladybug kneeled, touching Lila's shoulder. "And never should have spoken to you like that, I'm sorry." 

"Forget it Ladybug, you were right. We'll never be friends."  Lila shoved her hand away and picked up the repaired pendant, leaving. 

"Ouch."  Chat frowned.

"There's one problem we still have to solve." Ladybug said. "Where's Adrien?"  

"Ehh, everything's been put back to normal, so he must be back at home!" Chat tried to explain. 

"I should check to make sure!"  

"Uh no!"  I stepped in. "You both are about to change back soon, I still have time. I'll check on him and let you know."  I offered. 

". . . Okay." Ladybug sighed as her earring gave a warning beep. "I trust you."  She swung off in a different direction as the two relaxed. 

"Let's get home before you change back."  I said, "Hate to have to carry you home."  

"I don't know, I might like that." 

"And smell like rotting cheese? Please."  I extended my baton to leap off the tower, heading home. 

"It's not me, it's Plagg!" 

*** {Third POV}*** 

"I'm not going to be returning this, am I?" Marinette sighed, the book opened on her lap as Tikki looked through it. 

"I'm really sorry, Marinette. But its information is invaluable."  Tikki apologized. 

"Information? But it's all written in code."  

"Someone's been looking for it for a long time. He knows how to decipher the codes." 

"So what exactly is so special about this book?"  

"It contains all the secrets of the Miraculous powers. Sacred, and extremely dangerous in the wrong hands. He needs it back." 

"I don't get it, Tikki. Tell me what's going on. Who is he?" 

"The Great Guardian. And I think the time has come for you to finally meet him."  

***

"Did you take my father's book, Plagg?" Adrien turned to Plagg who was enjoying the mountain of cheese on the coach. While Adrien on the other hand was dumping out his bag. 

"Of course not."  

"If he finds out it's missing, we'll have a lot worse than Hawkmoth to deal with."  

"I'm sure we'll find it,"  Y/n reassured, helping him look around. Mostly because they'd both be in trouble. They did break in together after all. She was about to keep searching before it hit her. "Wait, I think Lila threw it in the trash back at the park." 

"Really?" 

"Yeah."  

"How do you know for sure?"

"Miss girly was getting all jealous about your date and decided to spy on you from afar!" Alpha replied from the armchair as he gobbled down another brownie. 

"I was not spying! I was just. . . concerned."  

"Let's just hope it's still there."  Adrien groaned.

Marinette stood at a door nervously, holding the book tightly to her chest before opening the door to see an old man, wearing a red Hawaiian shirt, a man she recognized to be the one she helped all that time ago.

"Hello, Ladybug."

and that concludes the first season of the show! This one took some time for me to bring out due to unforeseen circumstances. But I haven't given up on you all yet! You must have noticed I skipped episodes here and there. I plan to cut off parts that aren't important to the main plot of this book. 

Now that the main couple is together. They have new problems to face. I have been coming up with plans and such, and I'm excited to introduce Luka and build into the other superheroes that appear in the future seasons.

GIVING CHLOE THE LADYBUG MIRACULOUS TO ANNOY THOMAS ASTRUC LET’S GOOOOO!!!

What caused this anomaly was that Marinette was early for school, so she wasn’t there to help Master Fu. So no one helped Master Fu across the street, and he ended up having to dash to the other side of the street to avoid the car, and ended up falling like Marinette did, dropping the mini miraculous box. Master Fu is discombobulated and just walks away with the miraculous still there. Luckily everyone in Paris is stupid, so no one picks it up. Chloe walks by the bakery that morning, and picks up the box.

In this AU, Chloe completely takes the place of Ladybug, name and all (Ladybug and Chat Noir just sound the best together, and do you really think Chloe could come up with a more interesting name than Marinette on the spot? Heheh, get it? On the spot?).

When Chloe first transforms, she messes around with her superpower before loosing control of her yo-yo and crashing into Chat Noir. They don’t work together in harmony at first (Ladybug (Chloe) won’t do what Chat Noir suggests and Chat Noir won’t stop complaining about Ladybug) causing them to fail at beating Stoneheart. They go their separate ways after haphazardly releasing the akuma, and Chloe renounces Tikki, saying she wasn’t the one chosen for the role, and it was pretty obvious that she’s not cut out to be a hero. With the multiplying of the akuma, though, Tikki’s words come back into her head, “You’re needed. Anyone can be a hero.” and with renewed strength, goes out again to stop it for good. She gets along a lot better with Chat Noir, her main goal being to stop the akuma rather than stand out more. They “pound it” and head their separate ways, both thinking they’ve finally made a real friend. When the akuma is officially gone, Chloe thinks about revealing who she is for the glory, but remembers what Tikki said about secrecy, and backs out last minute.

I’m probably not gonna make another part to this, so here’s some of the ideas I had for the AU:

The AU would focus on Chloe struggling with her jealousy and selfishness while also having to be the better person so that Paris doesn’t get obliterated. Tikki is moral support, and helps Chloe become a better person. Adrinette is endgame still. I would also add in my own headcanons of the characters, yknow. Chloe has a crush on Marinette, but knows she doesn’t like her back. Chloe would talk to Tikki about how hard it is sometimes to get ready in the morning knowing her body doesn’t look like how she wants it (trans girl Chloe ftw!!!). And she would rant about how stupid and blind and pretty Marinette is, the blindest person she knows (with the exception of Adrien himself).
