The iron supplements are definitely making my migraines different. The pain is still debilitating but the brain fog is less severe. Which is better because the severe pain lasts about 17 hours for me, but the brain fog was taking about 3-4 days to lift and by the time I was feeling more cognitively functional I was heading into another prodrome.

So. Progress.

It's official. I have finished The Sunshine Court. I have so many things to say and yet have no idea what to possibly say. It was perfect. It was absolutely perfect and heartbreaking and gut wrenching and an insane emotional roller coaster and everything i could possibly have asked for from Nora. Like she really truly delivered and i'm so fucking INSANELY grateful she has shared this story with us after all these years. We do not deserve her.

Listen, I love the Night Nurse as a character. I love Ruth Connell, period.

But when she stands there in Charles' memories and watches him get beaten with a belt and then takes the words he cried at his father to beat him down further "No, you can't make it better. You never made it better, then you died."

I have yet to forgive her for that. It is, without a doubt, one of the cruellest lines I've ever heard in film or television.

Bunch of local shops are fully shut including the supermarkets but the chippy still wants to open for a few hours. A shop down the street has had its window blown in and we keep hearing roofing tiles and scaffolding going flying
