So, I was just re-reading book 7 (especially the parts where Maleonor appeared) and something really irked me abt this part. We all know Yuu is not afraid to say when someone does/says something wrong, so why didn't they do anything abt her huge hatred against humans? Obviosuly not every human is bad and I feel like they would try to atleast explain that to her.

Especially Yuu just excusing/ignoring her rude behaviour towards HER OWN GUARDS seemed unrealistic to me. I know that the princess is a huge deal, but back in book 1 Riddle was a huge deal too and they still didn't back down.

I might sound silly here but I would like to know your thoughts !! :D

Mmmm 🤔 I think we're remembering very different portrayals of Yuu, if that makes sense?? The way you're describing Yuu's behavior in the main story, it makes them sound a lot more outspoken, rash, and Ace-like than they actually are. Allow me, if you will, to explain how I see it.

Rather than Yuu saying something when someone does/says something wrong, I think it's more accurate to say Yuu often comments on the things going on around them without being strongly opinionated about them. Instead, they often sound resigned or like they expect chaos to unfold. I would say their most common reaction is just sighing and shrugging while jokingly going, "not this again!" This is especially true in EN, where many of Yuu's localized lines are more self-aware.

In my eyes, Ace is the one who more actively calls out people doing/saying bad things. For example, it is Ace who holds Malleus accountable for his prank in Endless Halloween Night (whereas Yuu was complicit in it). It is also Ace who tells Riddle off for insulting Yuu's parents and how they raised their child, not Yuu standing up for themselves to Riddle. Yuu does also tell Riddle his behavior is out of line and too restrictive, but rarely is this attitude replicated outside of book 1. Yuu might point out the things the Disney villains do in their dreams as "wrong", but that's all in their head. They never actually confront their peers, point at them, and tell them their behavior is immoral. In fact, Yuu doesn't even really call Sebek out for being so loudly anti-human; that responsibility often falls to Lilia or Silver. In book 5, Yuu doesn't strongly question Vil's training methods; it's Deuce who tells Vil he's being too harsh on Epel, and the other VDC Tribe members who complain about Vil changing their diets and lifestyles. Time and time again, it's other characters who are the most brazen and outspoken, not Yuu.

About Maleanor specifically! I actually don't think it's weird or out of character for Yuu to not go out of their way to call out her rudeness. Firstly, as I have already mentioned, Yuu is generally more reserved in their opinions. Secondly, Yuu is presented as a strategist. They are supposed to be more tactful and intelligent than your average student. Now, let's think about this. Maleanor is an extremely long-lived fae, so it is likely that he has held her negative opinions on humans for a while. This princess is dealing with a foreign invasion, humans stealing her land's resources and threatening her and her child's life. She is also known as a powerful and easily angered mage. Presently, she has been shown to be capable of forcing her will upon your body, making you kneel before her. Not only that, but this is a dream. It is not the REAL Maleanor. Do you think, in this very moment, it would be wise for Yuu to talk back to Maleanor? Especially knowing that dying in the dream means Yuu also dies in real life? Do you think lecturing her would realistically get her to reconsider her opinion of humans? I think the answer would be no. Yuu, being the rational strategist of the group, would know better and that it's better for them to be quiet and obey the very scary dragon lady. And, again, they would be aware it is a dream, so telling Maleanor off for her behavior won’t make a significant change irl.

The truth of the matter is that Yuu can't... do or say much??? They're powerless in a school where basically everyone has power over them, so they need to play their cards carefully and watch whose toes they step on. This extends to situations beyond the school too. No matter how "wrong" something is, Yuu would be reckless to throw their life away just to get in a few lines about how racism is bad to someone who wouldn't even spare them an ear. Weighing risk and reward, Yuu gains nothing and loses almost everything by giving their (uncalled for) two cents to Maleanor.

If Ace were there, sure. He might just say something stupid to get them all killed. He had a track record of stating his mind even to highly influential and powerful people. Yuu? No way. They usually play things safe.

Hello treasured friend! I was hopeful you would send a request, you picked a nice combination of prompts and characters last time and your comments have been very helpful. You also really helped me out by picking Ace and Deuce, I had a second person who really wanted all of the first years with this prompt and between you both I have them all. I hope I can continue to please with these next two requests ♡ ～('▽^人)

notes: they/them used for Yuu, Yuu is kind of... mean to Ace (I love him I promise), Silver and Deuce should be besties with how much wii shop music is bouncing around in those skulls. The other event requests can be found on my masterlist here.

Silver

"You are in love. And don't act so ashamed of it, young love is a precious thing, you should treasure your time with it for as long as you can."

It's not advice Silver would characterize as bitter, nor is it a point he wishes to ignore; he trusts his father to know him more than anyone so if he says what he feels for the prefect is love, then it must be true. Not that he exactly needed Lilia to voice it, Silver would like to think that he would have realized it if he had been given just a bit more time in your presence alone. But that was hard to come by when you are prone to sleeping randomly, or when your beloved's dreams are so difficult to find.

"Thank you for helping me earlier." The mask Malleus gave him hides his face well enough for him to pass of his nodding off near the star railing as simply tripping on his cape. At least, that's what Silver tells himself as you give a generic you're welcome and turn back to the party. He would like to think if you knew it was him here you would stay, but he doesn't actually know that does he? "Say-"

You turn back to Silver confused. Doesn't he need to get back to Malleus? That's what you had expected, the entire reason you had gotten to hurrying yourself away because you thought you knew if you turned around he simply would not be there anymore. But he is, his hand is extended as if it was reaching for you before falling dejectedly back to his side like you were the one out of reach.

"Have you seen Silver anywhere? Lilia is looking for him." He says it so seriously, and even though he technically says everything like that it still sounds funny to you. Really, who put him up to this? Because you somehow doubt pretending to not be himself was not what he woke up expecting to do.

"I think I saw him earlier," your hand comes up to your mouth to remind you not to laugh, Silver's relaxing now he really must think he's doing a good job lying "these masks just make it so hard to tell who is who."

"They really do." Says the one who really does not. "Do you... often look for Silver at places like this?"

"Oh only sometimes." You walk just a bit closer, it's so hard to gauge Silver's reaction to anything, he is already such a stoic person, and his training encourages an even temperament. "Really, it feels like he's the one looking for me most of the time. Why I bet if I closed my eyes right now," you make sure to do just that as soon as you are stood in front of him once more "he would appear right in front of me, just like he does in my dreams as soon as I counted to ten." Silver's in take of breath is sharp, delighting the trickster within you as you count dutifully down preparing to tease him for his attempt at fooling the master.

But Silver is honest and blunt, your eyes fluttering open in surprise at the kiss placed quickly to your lips and the maskless face before you beaming in joy as if you really had summoned him forth and not been talking to him this whole time.

"May I have this dance, Yuu?" And something about the way he says your name makes you almost believe you were still at home dreaming, no matter how real the safety of his embrace makes you feel.

Deuce

Riddle had told you once, in confidence with a great deal of pride, that when Deuce had been placed in Heartslabyul he had announced his intentions to be as "diligent as the card soldiers." Something you both agreed he certainly lived up to, even if that diligence did not always produce the results he wanted. Take tonight for example, he had asked you to dance earlier in the night, clearly intending to mask his identity to try and follow along with what he perceived the rules of a Masquerade Ball to be.

As in he intends (you assume) to pretend to be a stranger to you until midnight when the masks get removed even as he brings you all your favorites from the buffet table and just generally is content to stay around you. Some might call it hovering, but Deuce has never really been uncomfortable with you; from the first moment you and Grim had asked for his help with Ace he has been a solid presence in your life. Which is why when he starts to get shifty and nervous you immediately notice.

"Something on your mind?" You try gently, knowing that he will only feel better once he's unburdened himself, frowning slightly when he startles further.

"Sorry, I was just thinking." He sounds almost sad, but not in a way that's causing him any pain. Nostalgic, longing, it's as if there is a picture in his head overlapping the actual scene in front of him. It worries you. "I have this... friend. And I was wondering if- well you seem really smart." Your smile returns, small and tentative, waiting for him to finish thinking before you commit to your happiness. Cute, so cute Deucey seems to be worried you don't know you're dancing with him. "Do you know Deuce Spade?"

"I think so." You hum and Deuce swallows, his hand holds yours just a bit more tightly than is necessary for a ballroom dance. "Why do you ask?"

"I was wondering I- he- has this other friend." If Ace could hear the way Deuce was stammering right now he would whine for you to end his suffering, but you want Deuce to have his moment. So you simply nod to encourage him to continue, watching in delight the shuddering breath he takes to steady his confidence. "Is he someone you would want to get to know better? He has this... friend he wants to ask out, but he's worried that he won't know how to treat them right."

"Are they good friends?" You say, really trying to play along. Deuce nods, his mask prevents you from really knowing but you think he is not looking you in the eyes. "Besties?"

"Uh the bestest besties." He nods, all too seriously.

"Bros even." You nod too and Deuce sputters, half tripping over your feet as you decide to heed Ace's phantom advice and put an end to the charade. "Oh come on Deucey, you said that's what we were before. So what's changed?" It comes out as a joke, but it's really not. You gave up on getting a confession from Deuce so long ago you can barely believe the sheepish smile on his face is real and not some fever dream.

"I got tired of lying to myself." He steps back away from you and steadies himself, taking a deep breath before bowing, the perfect picture of loyalty and diligence. "So Yuu, will you please take my hand? And never let go."

Ace

"Say have you seen Ace?" A "mysterious" figure leans against the door frame of the ballroom, the moon highlighting his red eyes that are centered purposefully on you. It's breathtaking, your heart is already halfway up your throat keeping you from speaking aloud. You shake your head quickly, intending to taunt him in to taking off his mask but startle as his grin only widens. "Guess that means I'll have to satisfy myself with you then." And just like that you remember yourself again, is he seriously pretending not to be himself? Does he think you do not know him well enough to spot him in this sea of literally faceless people?

"Well nice to see you too I guess." You cross your arms and he has the audacity to laugh at you like you're "pouting" or something. Like he thinks your cute. "I'm not here looking to satisfy anybody."

"Aw don't be like that." Ace moves, inviting himself into your personal space as you regrettably let him. "You know how Ace is," you do, it's almost like he is in the room with you as you speak "or maybe you don't and just didn't want to admit you can't remember what he looks like." This looser, well play stupid games win stupid prizes! Since you know him so well, you know Ace will understand.

"Oh please," you straighten up and give your best neutral face of disappointment "as if I could ever forget his ugly fucking face."

"Wait-" Ace clearly was not expecting this, his shock is delicious and you are exceptionally thirsty.

"Seriously who does he think he is? Walking around like he isn't annoying everyone with his stupid half smile smirk thing, smouldering went out of style years ago dude! It's creepy now." You mean none of these things- well most none of these things. It would be extremely helpful to your sanity if Ace could explain just who he thinks he is to you specifically, because you know what you want that answer to be. "And I mean have you seen how weird he is about that prefect? Who cares if they don't have magic, if anything that makes them more ann-" surprisingly, as if he wants to prove your hypothetical whining right Ace slaps a hand across your mouth with protests bubbling out of his mouth.

"Look look ok you got me I deserve that." He says with a nervous laugh. "Shit talk me as much as you like, but don't you ever talk about yourself like that. Not around me, not around anyone." He leans forward, some of his boyish confidence returning now that he really knows for sure that you knew it was him all along. Gently, he moves his body closer to yours as he removes his hand from your mouth, moving his fingers to support your chin, not taking any chances on your looking away. He opens his mouth as if he means to continue talking, but his eyes settle on your lips for just a moment too long and the thought leaves. You stand there in ambiguous silence, masks suddenly making their presence heavy against your skin. It's a visceral reminder of how artificial the barrier between you both is, how little effort it takes to break it as you reach for his and pull at the thread as Ace closes the gap to finally answer your stupid question from before.

Sure, there's a chance you will both deny this tomorrow, take those two steps back into the grey that infuriates you both, but so long as you're in this dance together, can you really complain? Not out loud at least, no not out loud.

The World on the Other Side of the Mirror

WARNING THIS IS A VERY LONG POST AND ALSO CONTAINS SPOILERS FROM CHAPTER 6 AND SPECULATIONS ABOUT CHAPTER 7

Once again this is just my theories/speculations, they may be right or wrong but it all depends on you on what you're going to do with the information my potato brain came up with (also this was supposed to be posted a long time ago but my thoughts were so scattered so 😅)

So watching the translations for Chapter 6, it can be noted that Mickey appears a lot more in this chapter. In the scene where Epel and Yuu chase after Rook, Mickey appears and says this...

After all that it also shows scenes of Grim getting taken away to STYX and Ace and Deuce in the infirmary.

The next part where Mickey appears once again is near the end of Chapter 6, where everything was resolved, and we see Mickey again through the mirror. We were also about to show to Grim that Mickey was real but Grim also says that there's nothing reflecting onto the mirror...

Mickey also found it strange that he can't see Grim either, only us. He also states that he can only see fog around us, Mickey then proceeds to describe how his room looks like and ask us if we can see it...

But since we're on the same case as Mickey where we can only see fog around him, we say no. He was sad that he can't meet more friends in his dream. And then Mickey proceeds to tell us that while we're away he saw someone in his dream room, he also described how they looked like...

After that part we hear an alarm going off with Mickey saying he needs to wake up. Mickey then says his goodbyes and him wanting to meet again before leaving which causes to think "Is the other side of the mirror a dream world?"

Now let's go to my theories/speculations:

What Will Happen in Chapter 7

1. About Mickey

So now we know how important Mickey is especially in the future parts of the story. But with the things he's been saying throughout Chapter 6 such as wanting to help us find Grim and wanting to make new friends made me think...

Could it be possible for Mickey to find a way into Twisted Wonderland?

It was mentioned at the very beginning of this post that Mickey wanted to help us but he couldn't, so wouldn't there be a possibility that when we're in grave danger Mickey will find his way into Twisted Wonderland? Like Mickey could possibly help us in fighting OB! Malleus, heck maybe even OB!Grim.

2. The Person Who Appeared in Mickey's Dream Room and The Dream World as a Whole

As of right now we don't have that much information about the Dream World other than Mickey's Dream Room and how it was the first time that someone enters his room. Based off Mickey's description, there's only one person who fits the description of "silver hair and mysterious eye color" which happens to be Silver (Mickey why you gotta make our lives harder with the mysterious eye color part 😭), which meant that Silver most likely ended up in Mickey's room in his sleep.

However, since we do know that Silver has his curse/narcolepsy, how did he only end up in Mickey's room now even though he sleeps a lot?

The answer to that question would most likely be that Silver was probably in a deep sleep after the fight with the Charon. He most likely wasn't fighting his sleep anymore which caused his consciousness to move somewhere else. Now this is where it gets interesting...

How did Silver end up in the Dream World of all places?

This would most likely connect to Silver's magic. It's possible that Silver could go into different dream realms or dreamwalk. It is also noted that Silver mentioned he saw us before in a dream, which could either mean he actually saw us in a dream he had or it's just a reference to "Once Upon a Dream". A lot of people also speculated that Silver also has the same dreams as us about the Great Seven.

How come Mickey can see Silver but he couldn't see Grim?

Once again that is most likely because Silver was in Mickey's dream room, not in our actual room or Silver might actually be from another world, since Mickey can also see us, who's not from Twisted Wonderland. Well not necessarily from our world, he could be from another world that we don't even know of. Maybe Silver's ability of dreamwalking is seen as unusual or dangerous in Twisted Wonderland but in the world he was supposedly in, it was normal?

Another thing I thought about is how Silver can help Mickey end up in Twisted Wonderland to help us. Since Silver can travel from the dream world to Twisted Wonderland, Mickey might go with him.

I also have a question clouding my mind for awhile which is...

Is it possible for someone to be stuck in the Dream World?

3. What Will Happen in Chapter 7

Now we do know a lot of things will be brought into light during Chapter 7 (which means a lot of suffering and angst). The biggest topic Chapter 7 would tackle would be about human mortality. We know that Malleus and Lilia are both faes, which means that they'll eventually outlive everyone. Lilia has seen a lot of things in his lifetime (such as the war, serving the queen etc.) but for the case of Malleus, who only saw the castle walls his entire life and when he was the given the opportunity to go out and create relationships with humans, he was treated as an outcast.

Another factor to consider is our friendship with Malleus. We can't forget that we landed in Twisted Wonderland by accident and we're now fighting overblots and all that stuff while trying to find a way back home. For Malleus, we are literally his first friend outside Diasomnia so of course we would be really important to him. But if he gets the news that we're going back home, he wouldn't probably take it well.

Speaking of finding a way home, if Silver's UM or magic in general involves the ability of going through the Dream World and its different realms, then there could be a possibility that Silver can be the key into bringing us back home. Cuz think with me here, Twisted Wonderland as a whole feels like a dream right? Like beasts, flying brooms and magic all feel like a dream, and if Silver can actually go into different realms or whatever then he must have seen our world . Another factor could be the arrangement of dorms by chapter, well more importantly Chapter 1 and Chapter 7. Heartslabyul's story was Alice in Wonderland which is about Alice entering Wonderland, a dream, while Diasomnia's story is Sleeping Beauty, which can be related to waking up from a dream where Aurora is awoken by Prince Philip and they live their happy ever after.

If that's the case, then Malleus would try to prevent that from happening by putting everyone to sleep or perhaps out of blind rage, he unknowingly tries to kill Silver to prevent us from going home, or both could happen who knows. Now before you attack me on the killing Silver part we do know that murder is possible right? Leona tried to kill Ruggie when he OBed and Jamil really tried to murder Kalim to free himself from his servant title so that is possible as well.

If Malleus actually puts everyone to sleep then there's a chance that we might need to go the dream world and enter each of the boy's dreams to wake them up. One more thing I like to think about is what if Malleus breaks the mirror, which causes those who are in the other side of it to be stuck there until someone can find a way out. Their bodies will remain unconscious in Twisted Wonderland until their conciousness finds a way out of the mirror...

But what will happen to the other characters such as Sebek, Lilia, and Shroud Brothers?

The most common theory I've seen for Sebek is that he'll most likely be against yadi yadi yada and all that stuff. While that is possible, I highly doubt it honestly. I really want Sebek to get smacked with character development, that he's more than just a guard of Malleus, but he can also be his own person instead of just patronizing someone so much to the point it's kinda getting out of hand. Sebek is also an easily misunderstood character (I swear some of ya'll don't read his vignettes and it shows), I just really hope that Chapter 7 will explore more about his personality outside of Malleus and his personal issues, especially with his half and half thing going on and his mindset about humans, which is most likely caused by his environment. Sebek's motif is also unclear, so maybe he'll possess multiple motifs such as Maleficent's lightning and Shield of Virtue to correspond with Silver's Sword of Truth.

Ok now for Lilia, I'll be honest I'm quite unsure as to what will happen to peepaw. Yes he does set off a lot of death flags, but the "last wish" part could be interpreted as something else as well. It could mean that it will be last time Lilia will wish to the stars because there is now someone who will be the solution to that problem, which is most likely us. Lilia dying is still possible though, since a lot of games do kill off characters yet still make them playable, but then again this is also Disney so if they do kill him off, they'll most likely revive him out of nowhere so who knows 🤷‍♀️.

I absolutely love how smart it was for the creators to let Ignihyde help us for Chapter 7. Since Chapter 6 tackles about Death and Chapter 7 is a deeper dive into said topic, which is perfect, really. Idia knows what's it like to lose someone, and it was sudden too. So Idia would probably smack some sense into Malleus, telling him that he still has people who accept and love him for who he is, and that he should cherish them because you'll never know how important they'll become once he loses them. Since goodbyes are inevitable, it would be best to spend your time with them as if it's your last time together.

Ortho would also play a significant role in helping us defeat Malleus. If everyone is put to sleep, then Ortho probably isn't affected by it because he's a humanoid robot, and robots don't need sleep. Technology is also something Malleus isn't familiar with, so that can be used as a weakness in fighting. In terms of fighting Malleus...

Wouldn't it be more sad and painful that instead of Silver delivering the final blow, it will be us doing it? How sad will it be that Malleus's only friend is the one who has to smite him down...
