They'd stopped concentrating on what the Finance Manager was saying long ago. All their focus was on the touch of nylon on nylon as their feet spoke the words that their mouths couldn't... for now.

Tired of missing out on big international deals because of your English?
At times, when you see international business owners speak English well, you ask yourself, "How do they speak English so well?"
Just like you, Fahad, a Middle Eastern business owner, had the same thought because his weak English was not helping his international business.
He had also tried many ways to improve his weak English skills, but he made little to no progress.
Fahad sent me a message and told me how he had tried to improve his weak English but he couldn't talk confidently.
He joined the 1-on-1 VIP English program for Middle Eastern business owners for eight months.
~ He showed up for every English assignment feedback to improve his English faster for business and took action.
~ Fahad joined every one-on-one live English class, ready to learn and develop the strong English he wanted.
Eight months later, he started talking confidently in English during important meetings and events.
Fahad began to use his English confidently for his international business.

A couple day ago, one of my loyal customers is also a friend of everyone. He bought a very famous Northeast Chinese dishes - "pickled cabbage and white meat hot pot" for Amy's farewell party. After that, she and I went to the pharmacy I often go to buy medicine. When I feel unwell, I will go to the pharmacy first, even though Taiwan's National Health Insurance Hospital is very convenient, I really hate going to the hospital because I had some of bad memories by my past; then waiting for someone to pick up Amy at the coffee shop downstairs from my studio, The coffee shop where I often go, as a way for "spaced out" and "taking a break" leave the studio. ღ˘⌣˘ღ Lan~*

@fablewoven - self-indulgent arranged marriage with Tony the king
Emma was so nervous that she couldn't even hide it. She had heard of him before and she was sure he had heard of her - possibly very bad things given the way most royal men spoke of her... spirit. So she wasn't there with the greatest expectations, it was a courtesy yes. But she had started looking for a husband and she'd turn every stone trying to find someone who would at least meet her basic expectations if not more. Someone who wouldn't be violent, wouldn't treat her or their future children as property, wouldn't treat their people badly. Even better, but practically impossible, if he didn't like ruling and let her the responsibility of doing so, because she knew how to make a kingdom work, her own being so rich and her people so happy proved it. She didn't trust anyone with it. She wasn't going to find someone like that. She knew she'd be lucky if she found someone willing to treat her nicely at best, but for now she still had some cards in her hands and she'd still try. And that meant having the awkward conversation she didn't want to have with a man she had yet to meet. She also did have to be herself, at least a little even if repressing it had to become the new rule, but she couldn't very well pretend to be an entirely different person. It was just that if people kept thinking of her as some kind of unstoppable fiend she'd end up heirless. And so Emma got ready, wore one of her nicest dresses - the one appealing asset she had was right there - and was prepared to make a good impression before she could ruin it by opening her mouth, not sure of what to expect from this new king. What if he was someone like the creepy Duke from up north? Or someone repulsive and gigantic that-her nervous looks around stopped at the sight of the man she was meant to meet, and after a blink she broke into a relieved smile. See, it's just a man. No bear. Looks nice too. Very nice. It was a tad surprising, and she gestured to her maid and guards that they could wait behind, reaching the king on her own and giving a curtsy, "Your Royal Majesty."

At a Job Interview, Does Dress Code or Handshake Have a Greater Impact?
The Importance of First Impressions: Dress Code and Handshake in Job Interviews
Both the dress code and the handshake are important in an interview because they can convey your professionalism, confidence, and personality to the interviewer. However, depending on the type of interview, one may be more important than the other. Here are a few factors to consider:
Tumblr media
Dress code: Dressing appropriately for an interview can show that you have researched the company's culture, respect the interviewer's time, and take care of your appearance. Dress codes may vary depending on the industry, the position, and the location of the interview. Some general tips for choosing your outfit include:
Research the company's dress code and dress one level up from what employees typically wear.
Choose clothing that is clean, wrinkle-free, well-fitted, and comfortable.
Avoid clothing that is too casual, revealing, flashy, or trendy.
Choose neutral colors or subtle patterns over bright colors or loud prints.
Accessorize minimally and appropriately.
Tumblr media
Handshake: Shaking hands during an interview can show that you are friendly, confident, and respectful. The handshake can vary depending on the culture, the situation, and the interviewer's personal preference. Some general tips for giving a good handshake are:
Make eye contact and smile as you approach the interviewer.
Extend your right hand and grasp the interviewer's hand firmly and palm to palm.
Shake hands with one or two pumps that last two to three seconds.
Avoid shaking hands too hard, too soft, too long, or too short.
Greet the interviewer with a polite and enthusiastic statement such as, "It's a pleasure to meet you.”

Worried that small mistakes in your documents are costing you big international deals?
Use these quick editing tips to make your important documents for big international deals look better.
Your business documents are a reflection of you.
Whether it’s a proposal, contract, or email, they can either build trust with your clients and partners or make you look bad before them.
I know you can think there’s always so much to handle.
But here’s the good news: you don’t need perfect English to make your important documents better.
Here are quick tips to help you:
1. Don’t make your documents hard to understand.
Use clear, direct English words to build confidence before your clients and partners.
2. Check for basic errors like spelling and grammar.
Even small mistakes can make your clients and partners see you as a business owner who can't write well in English.
3. Break up long, confusing sentences in your emails, contracts, and important documents.
Shorter ones are easier to read and understand.
4. Read your emails, contracts, and documents out loud before sending them.
If they sound good when you read them, that means they are good.
If not, fix them before sending them.
Your documents represent your business. By making a few small changes, you can go from “good enough” to "unforgettable."
