Week 4 Review:
DAL-NYG (✅): Woah, who told me Flag Day would come three months late?
NO-ATL (❌): Guess this Carr is still barely more reliable than the Spire #7!
LAR-CHI (❌):
MIN-GB (✅): Minnesota's starting to look like a very pleasant surprise, but is that fourth quarter a preview to playoff pain or anything like that?
PIT-IND (✅): Wow I'm shocked, they fell back down to Earth!
DEN-NYJ (❌): The phrase "Ugly with a capital U" exists for a reason, folks!
PHI-TB (✅): As far as Super Bowl-losing coaches go, Nick Sirianni is well on his way to making Jeff Fisher look like Bud Grant!
CIN-CAR (✅): Hell yeah, we beat a team that was on 0-17 watch a couple weeks ago! Look out, New Orleans! Super Bowl, here we come! (King Henry's gonna slaughter that """defense""", isn't he?)
JAC-HOU (✅): At least the 2020 Jags had won a game by this point and weren't hyped by Khan as the best Jaguars team ever!
WAS-ARI (✅): I'm begging you, Washington! Even if you're in position to win the division, semi-tank so that Jayden doesn't have to worry about getting RGIII-ed at "home".
NE-SF (✅): This is like "coughing baby vs. hydrogen bomb" if the hydrogen bomb were also coughing.
CLE-LV (✅): Deshawn Washedson's Browns being a shitty team. A true national victory! (Also why is nobody talking about Stefanski's idiotic final timeout?)
KC-LAC (✅): What? The Chargers Charger'ed against KC? I'm so shocked, I forgot to gasp!
BUF-BAL (❌❌❌❌❌): Well, that certainly didn't go the way I expected!
TEN-MIA (❌): And you thought New York was Ugly!
SEA-DET (✅): Detroit went from way better defensively to way better offensively. Okay then!
2024 Week 4 Predictions: 11/16
2024 Predictions so far: 39/64 (.609)
DAL-NYG (TNF): Cowboys (I called it before the game, trust me bro!)
NO-ATL: Saints
LAR-CHI: Rams
MIN-GB: Vikings
PIT-IND: Colts (PLEASE)
DEN-NYJ: Jets
PHI-TB: Buccaneers
CIN-CAR: Bengals (but like... so narrowly it defies logic. It certainly won't be with help from our sorry-ass excuse for a """defense""", that's for damn sure!)
JAC-HOU: Texans
WAS-ARI: Commanders
NE-SF: 49ers
CLE-LV: Raiders
KC-LAC: Chiefs
BUF-BAL (SNF): Bills
TEN-MIA (MNF A): Dolphins

Best of... It's a new year. There are plenty of things about last year that were forgettable. I really hope the worst is behind us. Some resolutions: live below my means, invest!!! (in the market, in my health, and in my mental wellbeing), enjoy the kids (they will be gone before you know it), and lastly... never stop learning. This is week 17: JAX/IND: Colts smash. If all the favorites win, Colts are still out. GB/CHI: Cheese to cover. Big Mitchie plays for his career. Over? DAL/NYG: Cowboys to win. They are the best of the worst and still might not make it. Under is the play. PIT/CLE: Steelers to cover. Browns have the VID. MRudolph revenge? Also playing for his career. TEN/HOU: Titans smash. Texans spent it all LW and lost to Cincy. NO/CAR: Saints to win. I could see a kitty backdoor cover. NYJ/NE: Jets to win. The smart man would pass on this, the bettor likes +180. MIN/DET: Vikes to win. Lions are already done. ATL/TB: Bucs to win. Falcons D to keep Brady in till the 3rd quarter. BAL/CIN: Ravens take care of business vs "Paper Tigers". MIA/BUF: Bills to win. But don't need it. Might be resting. Under is preferred. LAC/KC: Champs will rest, but still win. Pass. SEA/SF: Seattle to win. I feel like the number is inflated. Niners cover 7. LV/DEN: Donkeys to win. Vegas has no motivation at all here. AZ/LAR: Cards to win. Goff to sit. CAkers to "Try". WAS/PHI: WAS to win. Smith to start. Godert and Sanders to sit. Under is worth a look here. Best movie goes to Greyhound. Best movie based on a comic goes to The New Mutants. I have not seen Wonder Woman. Best shows: Star Trek: Discovery, and The Wilds. Best stocks: TSLA, and ZM. Best book I read was called "Your Money or Your Life" by J Dominguez, MTifford, and VRobin. Best Jam was Up All Night by Khalid. Hopeyalikedit.

NE vs MIN
The Pats are allowing only 62 rushing yards over their last 3 games along with 141 passing yards. Vikings total points under 22.5.
Unders are 6-4 in New England games this year. Under 42.5. The Vikings are less than a field goal favorite at home. That tells Vegas does not believe in this team. New England 6-3-1 against the spread. I like the Pats +2.5. Last week the line was telling us the same as they were 1.5 point underdogs at home to Dallas and Vegas was right. The Dallas pass rush dominated all day and Cousins was under constant pressure. Belichick will no doubt look to do the same. Dallas is #2 in defensive DVOA. Who’s #1? That’d be the Patriots. As well as #1 in pass defense. I expect Kevin O’Connell to lean heavily on Dalvin Cook early try to establish the run and keep the pass rush from teeing off on Kirk. Bill will most likely double Jefferson- which is why I also like Justin Jefferson U 87.5 receiving yards. The Minnesota run defense is allowing 154 rushing yards per game over their last 3. I love Rhamondre Stevenson over 58.5 rushing yards.
BUF vs DET
The Detroit defense allowed only 57 points during its 3 game win streak. On a short week in the cold I’ll take under 54.5 total points.
Detroit has given up the 5th most passing yards per game on the season, however Buffalo is only averaging 226 in its last 3. I like Josh Allen under 286.5. As well as Josh Allen under 2.5 pass tds. He’s only thrown for 2 scores in his last 3 contests. The Bills are definitely turning more toward the run game since his injury. I expect the Bills to get up early and lean on Singletary whose rushing attempts have been trending up lately with 18 against the Browns as they salted that game away. Singletary over 13.5 rushing attempts. I think Buffalo rolls here I just don’t see Detroit slowing them down. Buffalo -9.5.
NYG vs DAL
Dallas is 1-10 against the spread on Thanksgiving over the past 11 years. 10 is too many points against a feisty divisional opponent. NYG +10.
New York can not allow Saquon to be a non-factor in this game as he was against Detroit last week when he was held to 35 yards on 17 touches. Look for Brian Daboll to get creative and find ways to get Barkley involved early and often with space to work with. He can not have 2 catches if they expect to win. Barkley over 3.5 receptions for over 22.5 receiving yards. Wan’dale Robinson is out for the year and rookie tight end Daniel Bellinger will miss this game leaving Darius Slayton as the only other reliable pass catcher. The game plan needs to be run the ball and quick throws to get the ball out of Daniel Jones’ hands. Jones will need to use his legs to escape pressure and also keep the defense guessing. Jones over 38.5 rushing yards. The Giants must slow down the Cowboys rushing attack which could mean extra men in the box against the formidable duo of Zeke and Pollard. Expect Dak to look for CeeDee Lamb early and often with Adoree’ Jackson out. Lamb over 5.5 receptions.

Fantasy Football Week 3 Predictions
Whenever you are 2-0, 1-1, or 0-2 here are some people that you should start/sit.

Welp, this took forever. Sorry my bad.
WAS-PHI (n): I'd mock you for potentially blowing a division title to Nick Sirihani, but considering your home field, semi-tanking for a wild card berth may be a blessing in disguise!
GB-CHI (Y): Oh my gosh. They may actually waste him. This is just unbelievable.
JAC-DET (Y): If any NFL game this season embodies "coughing baby vs. hydrogen bomb", then it is this one.
LV-MIA (Y): Glad to see the Dolphins are turning it around to get back to the playoffs and continue their Marvin Lewis-ass journey to lose as many Wild Card games as possible.
LAR-NE (Y): Who would have guessed that we'd see the day that New England's system actually failed their quarterback miserably?
CLE-NO (n): The Saints really are going to eek out enough wins when the season's already out of reach to trick themselves into thinking they're still relevant, aren't they?
BAL-PIT (n): We really are in the worst timeline, aren't we?
MIN-TEN (Y): This Vikings team looks a bit uncomfortable, but at least they've got some teams ahead of them seeing more ghosts than their QB did a few years ago.
IND-NYJ (n): Aaron Rodgers would be the kind of pilot who makes the guys on Airplane! look like unironic professionals by comparison. ("Ro(d)ger(s), Ro(d)ger(s)!" "What?")
ATL-DEN (n): Well, so much for the jokes of Bo Nix throwing with Bo Peep's broken arm. They were fun while they lasted at least! (Also the Falcons aren't really gonna Atlanta this division, right? Please!)
SEA-SF (n): In one of the most fun Chaos Divisions in recent memory, of course the Niners are the team going through the most painful chaos!
KC-BUF (Y): Cool that you're keeping the regular season domination going and letting a handful of 78-year-old men pop champagne again. Now back it up in January!
CIN-LAC (Y): At this rate, if I ever play Dark Souls, I'm muting it as soon as I hear that cursed-ass song.
HOU-DAL (Y): Jerry Jones fuming about his crummy team while his stadium that's barely older than Angry Birds is already falling apart. You love to see it! (Well okay, I don't actually like seeing giant metal fall onto football fields where it can hurt people, but you get the idea.)

Fantasy Defense Rankings Week 10: Who to start, sit at D/ST in fantasy football
Our Week 10 fantasy defense rankings feature most of the usual studs at the top, but the sleeper D/STs that always emerge are tougher to pin down that usual. Not only are several favorable matchups out because of byes, but a few more potential waiver wire streamers hang in the balance while we wait to see who starts at quarterback for couple teams.
Fortunately, only one D/ST, Cincinnati, that’s even a semi-regular start is off this week because of byes. No one will miss the Giants, Texans, or Bears’ defenses, but we’ll certainly miss being able to play D/STs against those offenses. That takes away at least a few high-end options and potential sleepers.
WEEK 10 PPR RANKINGS: Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | Kicker
There are still several favorable matchups; unfortunate, most go to D/STs that are already owned in the majority of leagues. This likely means fewer owners will need to hit the waiver wire to find a streaming option, but if you’re in the group that does, you could try the Eagles (@ Broncos), Raiders (vs. Chiefs), or Titans (vs. Saints).
WEEK 10 STANDARD RANKINGS: Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | Kicker
Of course, the Titans’ sleeper status probably depends on who’s starting under center for New Orleans. Taysom Hill isn’t a great passer, but his running ability limits potential sack and INT opportunities for defenses. Tennessee isn’t an overly strong defense, so it really needs the big-play opportunities that Trevor Siemian is more likely to provide. The same is true for the Packers (vs. Seahawks), who would vault into the top 10 if Geno Smith is starting in place of Russell Wilson (finger) again. The Seahawks themselves would jump up into streamer territory if Jordan Love is starting in place of Aaron Rodgers (reserve/COVID list) again.
Perhaps no defense would see a bigger shift in rankings based on opposing QBs than Carolina (@ Cardinals). If Kyler Murray (ankle) starts, the Panthers are virtually unusable despite several big weeks this year. If Colt McCoy is under center, Carolina has top-10 upside. For now, we’re expecting Murray to start, but stay on top of that throughout the week.
There aren’t too many regular starters knocked out of consideration by tough matchups. Miami and San Francisco saw upticks in ownership levels last week, but with matchups against the Ravens and Rams, respectively, neither should be considered this week. New Orleans (@ Titans) is also in a tough spot, but a Derrick Henry-less Tennessee offense isn’t nearly as scary.
There are plenty of good D/ST options this week, but there could be even more depending on injury news. Be ready to upgrade if the opportunity presents itself, even if that means carrying two D/STs for part of the week.
Note: We’ll be updating these D/ST rankings throughout the week, so check back for the latest analysis and player movement.

NFL playoff picture: Updated AFC, NFC standings for Week 12
Week 12 is here, meaning only six weeks are left the 2020 NFL regular season. Every win becomes a lot more important in trying to lock down division titles or wild-card berths to get into the playoffs, while every loss can further dash those hopes.
The postseason field expanding by one team each in the AFC and the NFC to a total of 14 has brought more teams into realistic contention over the closing stretch Based on the current standings, here’s an updated look at what each conference tournament would look like if the playoffs started now:

NFL standings for Week 12
AFC playoff picture
Who would be in?
1. Pittsburgh Steelers (10-0), first place, AFC North. The Steelers have a precarious game lead over the Chiefs for the top seed and the lone bye. They have a very favorable schedule ahead to follow the Jaguars win in Week 11. They now lead the Browns by three games and the Ravens by four games in the division, with head-to-head tiebreakers against both teams. Remaining schedule: vs. BAL, vs. WSH, at BUF, at CIN, vs. IND, at CLE
2. Kansas City Chiefs (9-1), first place, AFC West. The Chiefs got a much-needed Week 11 road win after the bye to avenge their Week 5 home loss to the Raiders. They now have a comfortable three-game lead in the division. It will probably come down to the wire for the No. 1 seed between them and the Steelers with two tough NFC South road games left. Remaining schedule: at TB, vs. DEN, at MIA, at NO, vs. ATL, vs. LAC
3. Buffalo Bills (7-3), first place, AFC East. The Bills, coming off a bye in Week 11, now have a full-game lead over the Dolphins and a three-game lead over the Patriots, after both teams lost as favorites in Week 11. They also beat the Dolphins and Patriots in the first meetings to hold the current tiebreakers. Their losses against the Chiefs and Titans hurt for potential seeding, but they do get a shot at home against the Steelers. Remaining schedule: vs. LAC, at SF, vs. PIT, at DEN, at NE, vs. MIA
4. Indianapolis Colts (7-3), first place, AFC South. The Colts had to beat the Packers to stay ahead of the Titans, whom they beat in Week 10. The win over a quality NFC opponent in Week 11 also strengthened their wild-card fallback position. The Colts’ key AFC losses are to the Browns and Ravens. They play the Titans again in Week 12 with first place on the line. Remaining schedule: vs. TEN, at HOU, at LV, vs. HOU, at PIT, vs. JAX
5. Tennessee Titans (7-3), second place, AFC South. The Titans got a much-needed win against the Ravens, another wild-card hopeful, to at least get this wild-card position after the Colts followed suit with an overtime win of their own against the Packers. Now they need to focus on splitting with the Colts in Indianapolis this week. The Titans also have a key AFC win over the Bills. They play the Browns, over whom they have a conference record edge, in Week 13. Remaining schedule: at IND, vs. CLE, at JAX, vs. DET, at GB, at HOU
6. Cleveland Browns (7-3), second place, AFC North. The Browns got another gritty cold, rainy weather win over the Eagles at home in Week 11 to get back into wild-card position, thrilled by the Ravens also losing to the Titans to fall one game behind them. The Browns lost to the Raiders but beat the Colts and they draw the Titans in Week 13. They do not play the Dolphins but play the Ravens and Steelers again. Remaining schedule: at JAX, at TEN, vs. BAL, at NYG, at NYJ, vs. PIT
7. Las Vegas Raiders (6-4), second place, AFC West. The Raiders are still here after losing to the Chiefs last Sunday night because they still have a superior conference record (4-3) than either the Dolphins or Ravens. They beat the Browns and also get shots at home against the Colts (Week 14) and Dolphins (Week 16) in December. Remaining schedule: at ATL, at NYJ, vs. IND, vs. LAC, vs. MIA, at DEN
Who can get there?
8. Miami Dolphins (6-4) 9. Baltimore Ravens (6-4)
The Ravens dropped all the way down here after their shocking blown-lead home loss to the Titans as their free fall continues from the AFC’s top seed in 2019. They also are in third place in the North now, too, behind the Browns. That makes Thursday against the Steelers a must-win. The Dolphins’ upset loss at the Broncos put them out of position, so they must rebound against the Jets on the road.
Who’s likely out?
10. Denver Broncos (4-6) 11. New England Patriots (4-6) 12. Los Angeles Chargers (3-7) 13. Houston Texans (3-7) 14. Cincinnati Bengals (2-7-1) 15. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-9)
Who’s out
16. New York Jets (0-10)
The Jets can now fully focus on edging the Jaguars for the No. 1 pick in the draft. The Broncos are still out of luck despite beating the Dolphins. The Patriots wasted their Ravens victory with a loss to the Texans. The Chargers can keep thinking about what might have been with Justin Herbert with all their close losses, while the Texans already dug themselves too deep of a hole. The Bengals are done with their latest loss and Joe Burrow hurt.

Who would be in?
1. New Orleans Saints (8-2), first place, NFC South. The Saints’ sparkling conference record (now 7-1) is a big asset after their Week 11 thrashing of the Falcons with Taysom Hill. They have a one-game lead over the Packers, which puts them back on top because they lose the head-to-head tiebreaker otherwise. They are strong favorite to hold this seed for home-field advantage and the lone bye. Remaining schedule: at DEN, at ATL, at PHI, vs. KC, vs. MIN, at CAR
2. Los Angeles Rams (7-3), first place, NFC West. The Rams jumped the Seahawks in the standings with their Monday night win over the Buccaneers following a Week 10 beat down They are just 1-1 in the division, having lost to the 49ers, but they are now 7-1 in the conference overall, giving them the tiebreaker over the Packers for this spot and helping them have a strong fallback on the wild card. Remaining schedule: vs. SF, at ARI, vs. NE, vs. NYJ, at SEA, vs. ARI
3. Green Bay Packers (7-3), first place, NFC North. The Packers hold a two-game division lead over the bye-week Bears, who are fading fast and whom the Packers get to play twice, including in Week 12 at Lambeau Field. The AFC loss to the Colts hurts in Week 11, because it dropped them from No. 1 all the way down here. They also need to root for the Rams and Seahawks to fade so they can work to get back home-field advantage over the Saints, whom they beat in New Orleans in Week 3. Remaining schedule: vs. CHI, vs. PHI, at DET, vs. CAR, vs. TEN, at CHI
4. Philadelphia Eagles (3-6-1), first place, NFC East. The Eagles are pushing it with their lead in the NFL’s weakest division, which almost has evaporate. Their bad loss to the Browns hurts after falling to the Giants after their Week 9 bye. The idle Giants and the winning Cowboys and Washington alll gained ground, to the point, all three were a half-game out going into Week 12, with the only difference being that darn tie. The last six games are tough, too. Remaining schedule: vs. SEA, at GB, vs. NO, at ARI, at DAL, vs. WSH
5. Seattle Seahawks (7-3), second place, NFC West. The Seahawks briefly took the division lead when they beat the Cardinals to open Week 11, but fell down to the top wild-card spot with the Rams beating he Buccaneers on Monday night. The Rams beat the Seahawks in their first meeting in Week 10. The Seahawks have pressured to beat the Eagles to keep pace with the Rams and Cardnals, who both have easier matchups in Week 12. Remaining schedule: at PHI, vs. NYG, vs. NYJ, at WSH,vs. LAR at SF
6. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-4) second place, NFC South. The Buccaneers blew a big opportunity to become the division and conference front-runners against the Saints. Now they need to finish a full game ahead of the Saints, to whom they lost twice, to take the South. They are in strong shape, however, to fall back on one of the three wild cards with already seven wins. Losing to the Rams at home to close Week 11 didn’t help, however. Their last tough game is at home against the Chiefs in Week 12, before a weak slate after the Week 13 bye. Remaining schedule: KC, vs. MIN, at ATL, at DET, vs. ATL
7. Arizona Cardinals (6-4), third place, NFC West. The Cardinals dropped back four spots to the final NFC wild card with their loss against the Seahawks. They still have a one-game lead over the Bears, but would lose the tiebreaker for now with the Bears having one more conference win going into Week 12. A split of their final games, which is very doable, should allow the Cardinals to sneak in here. Remaining schedule: at NE, vs. LAR, at NYG, vs. PHI, vs. SF, at LAR
Who can get there?
8. Chicago Bears (5-5) 9. Minnesota Vikings (4-6)
The Bears, after starting 5-1, have free-fallen to .500 coming out of their Week 11 bye. The Vikings made a big move back toward contention by beating the Bears in Week 10, ony to fall flat against the Cowboys at home in Week 11. Minnesota still can make a run, but the Dallas and Seattle losses hurt most. The Bears and Vikings pretty much need to think about running the table and also need help.
Who’s likely out?
10. Detroit Lions (4-6) 11. San Francisco 49ers (4-6) 12. Carolina Panthers (4-7) 13. Dallas Cowboys (3-7) 14. Washington Football Team (3-7) 15. New York Giants (3-7) 16. Atlanta Falcons (3-7)
The Lions joined this group with their bad loss to the Panthers in Week 11. The injury-riddled 49ers’ latest bad loss, to the Saints, is part of a very difficult slate ahead. The Falcons and Panthers have proved to be extremely flawed teams because of defense and injuries. That awful NFC East trio still should focus more on the draft behind the Eagles, despite the Giants winning two in a row in the division.

Biggest Week 11 injury questions for all 32 NFL teams: Not so fast on Davante Adams, QB questions
8:00 PM ET
NFL NationESPN
Green Bay Packers receiver Davante Adams, who has seven touchdown catches in his past four games, isn’t necessarily sweating his status for Sunday, especially after he was able to return to the game in Week 10 after suffering an ankle injury.
But nothing is certain with Adams, which is a common theme across the NFL with other big-name players, including quarterbacks, heading into Week 11. The status of quarterbacks Matthew Stafford (right thumb) of the Detroit Lions and Teddy Bridgewater (right knee) of the Carolina Panthers are up in the air. And in New Orleans, we know Drew Brees won’t be under center, but how will the Saints use his backups, Jameis Winston and Taysom Hill?
Here’s a roundup of the biggest injuries from ESPN’s NFL Nation reporters:

Can Buffalo’s hobbled players return to full health by Week 12? The Bills’ bye week came at an opportune time with several key players nursing injuries. Linebacker Matt Milano will have one more week on injured reserve following the bye, but Cody Ford, Mitch Morse and John Brown should all benefit from an extra week of rest before Buffalo hosts the Chargers next week. — Marcel Louis-Jacques
Running back Matt Breida has missed the past two games with a hamstring injury, but he appears on track to return Sunday vs. the Chargers after he was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice. Breida would likely eat into some of Salvon Ahmed‘s workload in the backfield. — Cameron Wolfe

Cornerback Stephon Gilmore (knee) has missed the past three games with a knee injury and he remained limited in practice earlier this week. He is scheduled to speak with reporters on Friday, which could mean that he’s cleared to play. The reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year would naturally add a boost to a defense that is coming off one of its best performances of the season — in a win over Baltimore. — Mike Reiss
Quarterback Sam Darnold (shoulder) is out again, so Joe Flacco will make his fourth start. He played well in the Jets’ Week 9 game, throwing for three touchdowns in a loss. For the second game in a row, the Jets will have their full complement of wide receivers. Defensive tackle Quinnen Williams (hamstring), who missed the last game, is expected to play against the Chargers, which helps the interior pass rush. — Rich Cimini
AFC NORTH
It looks like the Ravens will be without two starters along the defensive line for Sunday’s game against Derrick Henry and the Tennessee Titans. Defensive end Calais Campbell (calf strain) and nose tackle Brandon Williams (ankle) both didn’t practice Wednesday. Campbell is considered day-to-day, and Williams is “touch-and-go for Sunday,” according to coach John Harbaugh. There’s a significant drop-off in the defensive line, where rookie third-round pick Justin Madubuike would replace Campbell and Justin Ellis would fill in for Williams. — Jamison Hensley

Matthew Berry asserts that if Joe Mixon is able to play in Week 11, he will do very well in fantasy.
Well, it’s that time. We are now on Joe Mixon Watch. And so far, things aren’t looking great. Mixon wasn’t at practice on Wednesday, which doesn’t bode well for him moving forward. So, if you have him on your fantasy team, here’s my advice: Trade Mixon. Dump him off on an unsuspecting owner who still thinks running the ball is a good way to win in the NFL. Even if Mixon comes back, it’s unclear if he actually makes the Bengals’ offense better. That is more concerning to his long-term approach than the injury. — Ben Baby
Right tackle Jack Conklin was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list after being identified as a high-risk close contact to an outside practitioner who tested positive. Conklin, as a result, wasn’t at practice Wednesday. The Browns are hopeful, however, that he will be available for Sunday’s game against the Eagles if he continues to test negative this week. — Jake Trotter
The Steelers are mostly healthy entering Sunday’s game against the Jaguars, with Mike Hilton’s availability being the biggest outstanding injury question. The versatile defensive back has missed the past four games after injuring his shoulder against the Browns, but with a full practice Wednesday, barring a setback, he should take the field in Jacksonville. The Steelers badly need him to help with run defense, and he’ll be a key to slowing rookie RB James Robinson. — Brooke Pryor
AFC SOUTH
Defensive end Charles Omenihu returned to practice on Wednesday after missing the Texans’ Week 10 loss to the Browns. In that game, Carlos Watkins started for Omenihu and played 82% of Houston’s defensive snaps. — Sarah Barshop
The odds of tight end Jack Doyle playing Sunday against the Packers took another hit after he didn’t practice, as he remained in the concussion protocol. But the bigger issue for the Colts could be at defensive back. Starting safety Khari Willis didn’t practice Wednesday because of a rib injury. The Colts need all the help they can get against Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Colts coach Frank Reich called the Packers the biggest test of the season for his defense. — Mike Wells

Rookie wide receiver Laviska Shenault, who is third on the team in receptions and receiving yardage, is still dealing with a hamstring injury and did not practice on Wednesday. Coach Doug Marrone said Shenault did some work on the side and they’ll evaluate him again on Thursday to see if he can practice. But if he misses practice again on Thursday, it doesn’t look good for him playing against the Steelers on Sunday. “We’re still hopeful,” Marrone said. “We have him as questionable right now.” Veteran Chris Conley started in Shenault’s place last week and would do so again this week. — Mike DiRocco
Left guard Rodger Saffold came out of last week’s game with an ankle injury but later returned. Saffold didn’t practice on Wednesday. The Titans’ offensive line is already without Taylor Lewan. Center Ben Jones (knee) missed some time in Sunday’s game because of a knee injury but returned. Jones did not practice on Wednesday, either. The interior part of the offensive line could be in trouble. — Turron Davenport
AFC WEST
Quarterback Drew Lock, who suffered rib and oblique injuries in Sunday’s loss in Las Vegas, did not practice Wednesday. Lock was on the field and even had his helmet on during practice, but he did not participate beyond any walk-through periods. Broncos coach Vic Fangio said Lock is not in a situation where he could practice with limited snaps or none at all and still play Sunday against the Dolphins. Unless Lock shows significant improvement and gets more time on the field, Brett Rypien would be the starter against the Dolphins. Rypien started the Broncos’ Week 4 win over the New York Jets. — Jeff Legwold
Sammy Watkins is on track to play on Sunday night for the first time since injuring a hamstring in Week 5 against the Raiders. Watkins was a full participant in practice on Wednesday for the first time since the injury. His return would be good news for the Chiefs, particularly because Mecole Hardman remains on the reserve/COVID-19 list, making his availability uncertain for Sunday. — Adam Teicher

The Raiders are in hurry-up-and-wait mode when it comes to the seven defensive players they placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday. As high-risk close contacts, S Johnathan Abram, DT Maliek Collins, DT Johnathan Hankins, DL David Irving, CB Isaiah Johnson, DE Arden Key and DT Kendal Vickers would all be eligible to play the Chiefs on Sunday night should they all continue to test negative until then. In fact, 10 of the 11 Raiders on the reserve/COVID-19 list are defensive players, with DE Clelin Ferrell and DB Lamarcus Joyner going on the list Tuesday and LB Cory Littleton going on it last week. — Paul Gutierrez
Defensive end Joey Bosa was ready to play last week but then was placed back on the concussion protocol list. The Chargers missed him and might not play him vs. the Jets, depending on how he tests. He’s their best defender, a tough edge rusher, and if there’s a way he can play, he’ll do it. But he has to pass the tests. Troymaine Pope is dealing with a neck injury, but expect Kalen Ballage to get the work at running back. — Shelley Smith
NFC EAST
RB Ezekiel Elliott said his hamstring is “a little tight, a little stiff,” but he was able to finish Wednesday’s practice as a full participant. Elliott suffered the injury Nov. 1 against Philadelphia, but he played against Pittsburgh despite not going through a full practice. He said he feels more comfortable than he did going into the Steelers game and will continue to get extra treatment to make sure he is good for Sunday’s game against Minnesota. Quarterback Andy Dalton (concussion, reserve/COVID-19) was also a full participant and should resume the job as the starter. — Todd Archer

Matthew Berry expects Ezekiel Elliott to get a high volume of touches against the Vikings but is concerned about his usage in the Cowboys’ passing game and in the red zone.
The Giants are on a bye. Their biggest injury question is when does rookie safety Xavier McKinney return. Coach Joe Judge said Wednesday he was “optimistic” that McKinney, a second-round pick, and several others would return at some point this season. But Wednesday was supposed to be a key day for them, before a positive COVID-19 test this week from kicker Graham Gano forced the team to work virtually. This might even make it less likely that McKinney returns for next Sunday’s game vs. Cincinnati. The following week is more likely. — Jordan Raanan
Tight end Zach Ertz is back practicing for the first time since suffering a high ankle sprain in Week 6 against the Baltimore Ravens. Coach Doug Pederson said the idea was to get him reacclimated into the offense and monitor him as the week progresses. To date, he has still not been activated off injured reserve. He’s not a sure bet to play against the Browns, but Ertz should be back in the lineup before long. — Tim McManus
Safety Deshazor Everett did not practice because of a sprained ankle, nor was he on a side field doing any sort of work. If Everett has a high ankle sprain, it could sideline him for several weeks depending on the severity. But coach Ron Rivera would not yet rule him out for Sunday. If he can’t play, Troy Apke likely would start. Apke has struggled when he has played, allowing way too many deep passes because of poor technique — turning the wrong way, bad angles. Also, left tackles Cornelius Lucas (ankle) and Geron Christian (knee) didn’t practice. If they can’t play, Morgan Moses would move from the right side to the left. He played left tackle in the fourth quarter vs. Detroit last week. David Sharpe would start at right tackle. — John Keim
NFC NORTH
All the focus is on Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky‘s injured right shoulder. Nick Foles‘ status for the Bears’ next game on Nov. 29 at Green Bay is up in the air after the veteran quarterback suffered a hip injury late in Monday night’s loss to the Vikings. The logical choice — if Foles has to miss time — would be for the Bears to turn the offense back over to Trubisky. But there is no indication yet that Trubisky’s shoulder is healthy enough for him to play. The Bears are off the rest of the week and return to the facility on Monday. — Jeff Dickerson
Quarterback Matthew Stafford didn’t practice Wednesday with his right thumb injury. While coach Matt Patricia said they are being cautious with him, there is reason to be mildly concerned with him not getting any work in. Stafford said he hoped to get some practice time in this week and was hopeful he would play Sunday. Stafford had the thumb protected on Wednesday even though he didn’t participate. If Stafford can’t play, the Lions would likely turn to Chase Daniel to make his second appearance of the season. — Michael Rothstein

Field Yates and Matthew Berry discuss the fantasy impact of Allen Lazard being activated off of the Packers’ IR.
Davante Adams finished Sunday’s game against the Jaguars after he briefly left because of an ankle injury in the second half — and caught a touchdown pass after his return — so in his mind that should mean he’s ready to go this week against the Colts. But not so fast. He didn’t do anything during the open portion of practice but still was listed as a limited participant, and then he said: “I’m not even going to go there as far as guaranteeing if I’m playing or not, but that’s the idea. Anytime where I feel like I can come back into a game like that, typically speaking my mindset going into the next week is that I’ll be able to roll. We’re doing all the things right, right now, to make sure I’m as pain-free and not limited come Sunday, and that’s where we are.” If Adams plays and Allen Lazard, who was just activated off IR, is good to go, then it would be the first time the Packers’ top two receivers will play together since Week 2. — Rob Demovsky
The Vikings are a step closer to getting TE Irv Smith Jr. back after he missed the Chicago game with a groin injury. Kyle Rudolph saw a significant increase in targets (five) and finished as the Vikings’ second-leading receiver against the Bears. Smith was upgraded to limited in Wednesday’s light walk-through. Elsewhere, rookie right guard Ezra Cleveland was a DNP with an ankle injury, and center Garrett Bradbury (shoulder) was limited. — Courtney Cronin
NFC SOUTH
Wide receiver Calvin Ridley was limited with a foot injury, so his status for the Saints game remains questionable. Ridley is a critical weapon for the Falcons, who face a New Orleans team that still has the potential to put a lot of points on the board without QB Drew Brees. In Atlanta’s last game before the bye with Ridley out, TE Hayden Hurst was the leading receiver with eight catches. With Ridley and Julio Jones, the Falcons have a better chance of pulling off the upset. — David Newton

QB Teddy Bridgewater likely will go down to a game-time decision with the sprained right knee suffered in Sunday’s loss to Tampa Bay. He was moving better on Wednesday after swelling went down, but he still was limited to working mostly with trainers on the side. If he can’t play, the plan is to use both backups, Will Grier and P.J. Walker, to get a clearer picture of who is the true No. 2 since both have served in that capacity this season. Coach Matt Rhule said he’s confident both can win in the NFL. — David Newton
The Saints had a lengthy injury list on Wednesday that will be worth monitoring throughout the week, but QB Drew Brees is the headliner. He will miss an unspecified amount of time after suffering broken ribs and a punctured lung Sunday, a source told ESPN’s Ed Werder. The Saints have not announced their plans for replacing him, though coach Sean Payton suggested that Jameis Winston and Taysom Hill will both have a role. Most likely we’ll see Winston as the starter with some Hill packages sprinkled in like we saw in the second half of last Sunday’s game. — Mike Triplett
The Bucs did not practice Wednesday, with coach Bruce Arians giving them an extra day to recover since they’re playing Monday night. Starting right guard Ali Marpet remains in the concussion protocol, but he’s still expected to practice on a limited basis this week. They’re hopeful he can be back after he missed the past two games — and with the Rams’ Aaron Donald lining up against them this week. — Jenna Laine
NFC WEST
By ruling defensive tackle Jordan Phillips out for Thursday night’s game against the Seahawks, the Cardinals’ already-thin line got even thinner, especially after Wednesday’s news that Corey Peters will be out for the year with a knee injury. That leaves the Cardinals with Josh Mauro, Trevon Coley and Angelo Blackson as the only healthy defensive linemen on the roster. — Josh Weinfuss
The Rams placed three starters on injured reserve this week, including left tackle Andrew Whitworth, safety Taylor Rapp and kicker Kai Forbath, but otherwise coach Sean McVay said, “We’re as healthy as really any team in the league.” It’s not anticipated that any other player is in danger of missing Monday night’s game against the Buccaneers. In Forbath’s absence, the Rams signed Matt Gay and he will compete with Austin MacGinnis to take over at kicker. — Lindsey Thiry

Adam Schefter explains that starting Nov. 21, the NFL plans to intensify its coronavirus protocols to reduce team gatherings and ensure safety.
The 49ers are on a bye, but the extra week off could bring a handful of meaningful reinforcements, including receiver Deebo Samuel, running backs Raheem Mostert and Tevin Coleman and cornerback Richard Sherman. Coach Kyle Shanahan is hopeful that all four will be able to get back on the field for the Nov. 29 game against the Los Angeles Rams. That would be a boon for a team that is 4-6 and dangling on the periphery of the postseason picture. — Nick Wagoner
The Seahawks list starting running back Chris Carson as questionable for Thursday night’s game vs. Arizona, but a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter that he’s unlikely to play. The good news for Seattle’s banged-up backfield is that Carlos Hyde will play for the first time since he and Carson were hurt in Week 7. The Seahawks’ run game hasn’t been the same with rookie DeeJay Dallas and Travis Homer, who lack the physicality of Carson and Hyde and are better suited for complementary roles. Hyde was a full participant the past two days. “Feeling really good that Carlos will be out there,” coach Pete Carroll said. — Brady Henderson

Fantasy Kicker Rankings Week 10: Who to start, sit at kicker in fantasy football
It’s another four-team bye week (Texans, Bears, Bengals, Giants), but Graham Gano is the only kicker who might be missed in fantasy football leagues. Our Week 10 fantasy kicker rankings are about as loaded as you can expect this time of year, which is thrilling for all parties.
Weather could of course be a factor, which is why we always like to look for kickers who are playing indoors. Greg Joseph (@ Chargers) and Dustin Hopkins (vs. Vikings) will be in L.A.’s open-air (but covered) stadium, while Matt Prater (vs. Panthers) and Greg Zuerlein (vs. Falcons) are also top-12 kickers in optimal conditions. Zane Gonzalez (@ Cardinals), Younghoe Koo (@ Cowboys), and Michael Badgley (vs. Jaguars) are borderline starting options kicking indoors this week, too.
WEEK 10 PPR RANKINGS: Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST
We also always note when the Broncos are at home, as the high altitude gives Brandon McManus (vs. Eagles) and Jake Elliott (@ Broncos) slightly better chances at bonus points. Statistically, it’s not a great matchup for either, especially McManus, but we’re not overly worried about that given his consistency and the simple fact he’s due for some long FGs. After his 10 50-yard field goals last year and average over 3.5 per season from 2015-’19, McManus had attempted just one 50-plus yarder prior to getting two attempts (and making one) in Week 9 this year. The numbers are starting to even out.
WEEK 10 STANDARD RANKINGS: Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST
The matchups are really strong for several of the best kickers who have been near the top all season (Tyler Bass, Justin Tucker, Ryan Succop, Joseph). Mason Crosby (vs. Seahawks), Robbie Gould (vs. Rams), and Chris Boswell (vs. Lions) also have strong matchups on paper if you’re willing to trust those numbers (and those kickers). We put some stock into matchup stats for kickers, but they shouldn’t totally define your lineup decisions.
Ultimately, this position is tough to pin down heading into any given week, but there seems to be enough high-upside options that your kicker shouldn’t totally bust this week. If he does, just make a mental note for next fall and make sure to tell your commissioner you don’t want a kicker spot in your league anymore. It’s for the best.
Note: We’ll update these kicker rankings as needed throughout the week, so check back for the latest player movement.

The Vaccine 90% effective is what I hear. Zoom took a dive. I cashed out with double my investment. Know when to fold 'em. I know I should invest and weather the storms, so I put it in something less volatile. I went with some kind of fruit company. This is week 10. IND/TEN: Indy wins. I rooted against Henry. He did not score. CIN/PIT: PIT to win. Super windy! Taking points and looking under. Might even bench Ben. WAS/DET: Lions to win. AP revenge game. HOU/CLE: Browns to win. Dirty Landry/Hooper are the adds. Another super windy! So much for the adds. Looking under. JAX/GB: Cheese to win. One last super windy! Taking points and under. PHI/NYG: Philly to win. Giants are winless in their last 16 if you take out wins vs WFT. TB/CAR: TB to win. CMC out. Tease! My team is now ALL second stringers. Taking points as Bridgewater 22-5 ATS. DEN/LV: Vegas to win. Possibly taking points, leaning over. BUF/AZ: Bills to win. JAllen's Gma passing really helped his passing. Much to the chagrin of my ticket LW. AZ might be the better team but this is trappy. Over is better than the side. SEA/LAR: Seattle to win. If they had beat the Bills LW I would have gone with the Rams. Blame the Gma. Live betting the over if the Rams score first. SF/NO: Saints are the team to beat when healthy. Niners are the opposite of healthy. Still taking points. BAL/NE: Ravens to smash. Final score 30-13. LAC/MIA: Fish to win. Chargers dealing with questionable coaching. Over is the play. MIN/CHI: Bears to win. Not much faith in this one or Big Dick Nick at all. Hopeyalikedit.

Read analysis from Tim McManus

SoFi Stadium will make its debut in prime time with the Rams hosting the Cowboys.
