After a few months aboard the USS Armstrong, we were finally going to see the Epsilon Pulsar Cluster up close! We took on new crew members at the Epsilon IX Station; four of which were engineers intended to ease the burden of repairs mid-mission, two were specially-qualified science officers, and one was simply a late addition.
It was the latter of the group that fascinated me. With keen, icy blue eyes, sharp facial features, and neatly-groomed hair, the new Vulcan Lieutenant had drawn my attention from the moment he materialized on the transporter pad in his science division blue uniform. The others were escorted to their stations and quarters by the Chief Engineer and the Science officer assigned to the Bridge, and I was assigned to Lieutenant Velek.
Tall and mildly intimidating, the stoic Vulcan stepped down from the transporter pad, and I offered him the traditional Vulcan ta'al in greeting as I introduced myself.
His eyes roamed the length of my body, seemingly sizing me up, but he did return my greeting after a pause. Undoubtedly, I was not who he expected to see when he beamed aboard.
"It is...agreeable to meet you, Lieutenant," he muttered after a moment, and assuming that was about all I was going to get out of him for the moment, I plastered on what I hoped was a welcoming smile.
"If you'll come with me, I'll show you to your quarters." Velek did so without protest. Giving him a short overview of our ship's upcoming mission to update Starfleet's data regarding the pulsar cluster, I tried to be as concise as possible. Though I kept my gaze firmly forward, I couldn't help but feel as though he was observing me.
Keying in the entry code for his quarters, I gave him a quick glance through the layout. Our ship was a little different than the standard science vessel in terms of accommodations. Starfleet meant for us to be a prototype for longer-term science missions into deep space, so there were a few more amenities than were standard.
If his expression was anything to go by - he'd lifted a single eyebrow all of twice - Velek was either impressed or turning his nose up in the most Vulcan way possible.
"If there's anything else you need, please don't hesitate to let me know. My quarters are actually just to the right of yours, so if the comms go down and you need a book or some tea or something, I won't be hard to find," I said clasping my hands behind my back as he turned to face me.
Velek's icy blue eyes gave me an appraising once over.
"Thank you, Lieutenant. I will keep that in mind." Now that we were alone, I was struck by how deep and velvety his voice was.
Fuck. No way. I couldn't do this again. I was just asking to get hurt if I developed feelings for another Vulcan, so I simply wouldn't be interested in this one. Velek was a colleague, nothing more. That was all he'd ever be.
"I'll leave you in peace," I murmured with a polite smile. "Your first duty shift begins at oh-nine-hundred tomorrow morning, so take some time to rest or explore the ship, as you see fit. I'll see you in Science Lab Three."
He gave a polite nod, and I left his quarters. Taking a deep, steadying breath once I was back in the hallway, I forcibly shook my thoughts back into neutral territory. Velek was not for me.
--
Vreenak's first step aboard the Armstrong was to determine the Lieutenant's schedule - a task made easier by the proximity of her quarters to his. Next, he slipped inside and placed a few listening devices. Audio and visual in her living space, and audio-only in her bedroom.
He was careful to disturb nothing during his time in her space, but he couldn't stop himself from glancing through the few books she'd accumulated. A pair of poetry books, a copy of Surak's teachings, three assorted fictional texts, and what appeared to be a romance novel. Tucking the title away in the recesses of his brain for further research, he placed secondary sets of bugs in extremely innocuous places, pausing only when he leaned over the head of her bed.
A soft, sweet scent clung to fabric that Vreenak simply couldn't resist inhaling deep into his lungs. Something primal and dark stirred in his chest, and he just barely managed to suppress a small groan of hunger.
Horror washed over him when he realized what he'd done, and with a scowl, he left as quietly as he'd come. As he sat in his quarters testing the equipment one last time while he had the chance, he scoffed at his own behavior.
Fool of a man. If he didn't control himself, he'd end up with a Human wife whether he wanted one or not. And he most certainly did not.
Especially not one like her. She was too–
Somewhere in the midst of his thoughts, the sound of voices reached Vreenak's ears. She was back, and she had a guest. Accessing his new cameras, he watched as the Lieutenant and a Trill Ensign sat, kicking off their shoes and tucking their legs beneath them as they chatted. Raising the volume slightly, the Vice-Chairman listened in.
"–eyes like that? I mean, if someone like him looked in my direction, I'd be half-way to requesting Vulcan citizenship already," the Trill woman said with a gleeful smile. "Oh, come on. You have eyes in your head! The new guy's hot!"
The Lieutenant merely shrugged her shoulders.
"I mean...yeah, he's good-looking, but I got the feeling he's not easily impressed. He barely said two words to me. And he seems...irritable," she muttered, and her friend nudged her arm playfully.
"So he's just your type, then?" The Lieutenant looked up at her sharply, but the Trill just laughed. "You know I'm right. Every guy you've dated since the Academy has been some variation of a smart, handsome asshole. What makes Velek so different?"
Vreenak blinked. They were talking about him? The silence stretched between the women, and eventually the Ensign sighed, but less from frustration than concern.
"This is about Torek, isn't it?"
That was a new name. One that Vreenak instantly disliked, though he couldn't put his finger on the reason.
"Of course it is. When someone uses you like that, you don't forget it in a hurry," the Lieutenant wilted somewhat.
"I know, but this one's older," Vreenak bristled at that, "I bet he's got at least a modicum of tact when it comes to letting people down gently. And anyone would be more honest than Torek," the Trill said patting her friend's shoulder before moving to the replicator. "Now, I think ice cream is in order."
The rest of the evening's conversation was irrelevant, and once the Ensign headed back to her own quarters, Vreenak stretched and made to walk back to his own bedroom. Humans needed more rest than Romulans, so he fully expected that to be the end of her evening.
To his surprise, he glanced at the monitor once more, but instead of finding her heading toward her bed, he saw that she had curled up with a book - the romance novel he'd found on her shelf earlier.
After a long moment of debate, he switched his view to the camera situated behind her so he could note what page she was on.
How strange for her to be reading a romance, especially if what she'd said to her Trill friend was true. She'd been used by a Vulcan, yet she willingly sought romance? Did that not simply emphasize her loneliness to her? Was she addicted to the pain?
Vreenak's brow furrowed, and he pushed down memories of his own failed romantic endeavors. No, if he was in her position, he could never indulge in something like a romance novel. Elements, he didn't want to even in his current position.
Unfortunately, though, he would need to if he wanted a full understanding of her psychological state. He told himself it was all part of building a profile of the woman who'd claimed to be his wife.
Downloading the novel onto his personal terminal, he let his gaze linger on her for a time. She seemed so small and unassuming when she was all bunched up amongst the cushions.
But, he'd learned decades ago never to underestimate an opponent. The moment you did, that was usually when you got a knife in the back. He would not be such a fool. Not with her.
Thus, he opened the first page of the book file and began to read with a scoff, alternating his attention between her and the text of the drab little story with the childish pink hearts on the cover.

I understood how you meant it, and I agree. I was simply trying to look at it from a different angle, from the POV of a shipper. The dynamic of the ship is a big factor in what ships get popular - after all, you likely want to write/read about them being together.
What exactly would marudan provide? Especially if you don't want to go against canon, it likely would end in an unhealthy dynamic where Marucho's qualities would be overlooked. I doubt Marucho shippers want to see him suffer, so they would probably go for maruren instead, which is healthier and has better range for writing.
Shundan is attractive for its dynamic. The problem with Dan ships in general is that he seems unable to appreciate his love interests, who are openly affectionate/devoted towards him. Shundan flips the script around by pairing him with a character who is more subtle in showing interest and also knows him well enough to not tolerate his bs. It places Dan in a position where he has to actively try to have a relationship, because Shun is capable of ignoring him and doing his own thing if necessary (and also can whoop his ass). Definitely more of a GI/MS era angst ship though. Anyways, love your analyses, I'd like to hear your thoughts.
You’re right about the dynamic of a ship playing a big role in why people gravitate towards certain ones. My rarepairs/crack ships are mainly formed based off how interesting I imagine their dynamic and interactions to be (Alice/Volt, Jesse/Aranaut, Nemus/Reaper, Mira/Jenny, etc.) and it’s definitely an important factor when it comes to more popular pairings as well, and even canon couples.
I also agree with you that being with Ren is far healthier and an overall better choice for Marucho than being with Dan. Maruren just offers up more opportunities for connection and understanding – what with Marucho and Ren having a shared interest in data science and programming and their similar backgrounds, allowing the two to bond on a deeper level (this is headcanon territory since they never actually bond over their respective family duties but I’m merely stating that the potential is there.)
Moreover, Dan tends to be selfish and has very little social awareness which, paired with Marucho’s generous and overly polite nature, means Dan (unintentionally or not) could very likely take advantage of Marucho’s kindness and neglect his emotional needs. We already see how Runo does almost all the emotional labor in her relationship with Dan, and she’s a lot more vocal than Marucho. If he did have any issues with Dan, he would probably keep them to himself.
I definitely see what you’re saying about Shundan and how a romantic relationship with Shun might push Dan into being more proactive and attentive because Shun doesn’t outwardly show his affection the way Runo, Julie or Marucho do. And you’re right that Shun is capable of ignoring Dan and doing his own thing, but I doubt that Dan has the emotional maturity to handle those types of situations without making them worse.
Shun is a very independent person and has a tendency to draw back and do things on his own when there’s an issue that needs to be dealt with. I find that it’s only with people who are not only outspoken but also has the necessary awareness to approach him in a calm and peaceful manner that Shun opens up and learns to rely on them for support. Those people tend to be Skyress, Runo, Alice and even Sellon Marucho.
I imagine that a more realistic scenario would be Dan being too focused on himself and how Shun should understand his feelings to give Shun’s any consideration. (Which is basically how Dan treated Shun throughout a good portion of S1. He did this with Marucho too, but Shun is supposed to be his long-time friend since early childhood so one would think he’d treat Shun better.)
What I've gathered from Shundan shippers is that they are drawn to the ship because of its childhood friends and "rivals" dynamic and the opposites attract trope. Dan and Shun have known each other since they were little kids. Dan is hotheaded and loud, Shun is level-headed and quiet. The problem is that all too often I see fans doing more work than the show did when it comes to showcasing how well Dan and Shun actually know each other. There are also times when their personalities clash and they’re unable to effectively communicate with each other.
An example of childhood friends (and rivals) done right is Julie and Billy because you actually see how close their friendship is on multiple occasions. Julie has a toy that she got from Billy when they were younger. We see that Billy and Julie were the main leads in a Romeo and Juliet play. Julie knew where to find Billy in Germany because she remembered the places he’d love to visit around the world. (“If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?”) Julie and Billy reminisce about a particularly rainy day when Billy was scared of thunder as a child. When Billy is defeated by Masquerade, Julie’s toy falls from a shelf, indicating that something happened to him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The show doesn’t do the same with Dan and Shun. Not only that, but Dan and Shun have had instances of particularly bad communication (Dan badmouthing Shun during his time of grief, S1EP20 when Shun leaves and Dan only makes it worse, the entirety of MS1) or times where it just seemed like they didn’t care about each other that much (Whenever Dan was in trouble in S2, Shun seemed to care only about Skyress the mission while Marucho was the one mostly worried about Dan, Dan not giving a flying fuck when Skyress left Shun at the end of NV1) Speaking of MS1, Dan and Shun’s relationship was at its most fragile since Shun’s mom died and yet, the show didn’t focus on their childhood friends dynamic at all which I think is wasted potential.
I understand that fan work by its very nature adds more to characters or a ship than what the show provides exactly because of that wasted potential, but I alse see a lot more fanon applied to Shundan than canon, to the point where the characters hardly seem recognizable. As in, Shun and Dan are incredibly close friends to the point of being the most important person in each other’s lives (this is not true), they’re both incredibly perceptive to the other’s needs without anything needing to be said, (also not true) and they’re very affectionate and soft around each other. Characters who get in the way of their relationship in one way or another (and/or happen to understand Dan or Shun better) are almost always female (Runo, Alice, Fabia, Skyress) and are either demonized, flanderized or otherwise thrown under the bus, particularly in fanfics.
Again, Marudan isn’t the healthier ship, but it has a bit more meat on it because of the influence Dan has had on Marucho, as well as some moments they’ve shared that seem very meaningful for their friendship.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But I just can’t say the same when it comes to Dan and Shun. I'm sure it's no surprise to hear that I don't like Shundan very much but I also don't think I'm being subjective when I say that a lot of the appeal when it comes to Shundan is being supplied by the fans rather than canon.
Feel free to correct me if I'm completely mistaken.

meet the newest loml- enid mendoza✨(she/her/hers)
i'm deep in my loa era- specifically re-working book 2 by throwing out most of the plot for my own hcs (and to bring enid into the windverse (ty @oh-so-youre-a-nerd)
to do that: make book 2 about navigating through sadie's departure- avoiding scandal, staying afloat, and maintaining mcgraw's byrne's status as a powerhouse. aka not breaking away to start your own firm w/ gabe and co.
more lore below the cut:
---
background:
prior to getting a JD, was on track as a pre-med student- worked as a med tech throughout undergrad and graduated with a BS in Public Health from Brooklyn College
Wasn't passionate on becoming a physician like her parents, but agreed for their sake. This led to her suffering from burnout (which she largely ignored). Very easy thing to conceal, esp. since she never let her grades fall. These feelings were bottled up and ultimately poured over into having a complete meltdown on the day she was scheduled to take her MCAT.
As for Enid's law career, she attends Columbia University and graduates summa cum laude. Not wanting to throw her background in health sciences away, she decides to specialize in Health Law.
First meets Martin Vanderweil during their shared clerkship with Judge Coleman, but they part ways after being hired as associates at different firms.
LI: Joaquin Morales
my hc involves tweaking Joaquin's disdain for Martin shown in book 2 to them being academic rivals while they attended Yale. Not always on the same page, but have each other's respect- that kind of vibe
Joaquin first meets Enid while attempting to visit Martin at Judge Coleman's office. He went for him, but finds her instead.
Life as an attorney:
In my timeline, by book 2, Enid is a Junior Partner at Park & Davis, a formidable rival firm of McGraw Byrne
She landed her partnership after successfully settling a class action lawsuit for a major data breach at a city hospital.
And bc I can't just name drop a rival firm:
background on Park & Davis:
founders: Agnes Park and Jina Davis
Agnes and Jina have a long standing history with both Sadie and Eli. They were all classmates at the same law school.
all landed associate positions at the same firm post-grad -> formed a plan to stage an epic takeover of said firm -> long story short- Agnes and Jina were snubbed out of the deal
It took them years, but after working apart to amass an impressive array of clients between the two- they started their own firm

So sorry to bother you and jump on the recent bandwagon of medical questions, especially if you have already answered this before and I haven't seen it, but my doc tried to tell me that weight loss is the best/only way to reduce/reverse liver damage and high enzyme levels when they are not caused by alcohol use. I know the genetics for the condition are in my family, and I also know that weight loss as a goal/medical treatment is generally BS. Just wondering if you or the community have any resources for improving liver health that doesn't focus on weight loss. Thank you, love your blog, it means so much to me.
I did some light googling on liver health, and already I'm sure this is one of those conditions that can be improved through diet and exercise ("diet" here meaning nutrition), but since those things are so entrenched in diet culture and people can't POSSIBLY imagine uncoupling health-promoting behaviors with weight loss, the conclusion goes from "x group did ___ behavior, and in doing so, they also lost some weight" to "their weight loss is actually the thing that improved their health" rather than. y'know. the fucking health-promoting behavior. If there's one thing I know, it's that weight loss is NEVER an effective treatment. It simply does not work. Even if it does improve some conditions, it is not sustainable beyond 1 to 5 years, and sends folks into a cycle of losing and regaining, which ends up doing the body much more harm. (Prescribed weight loss (or dieting) is also the leading predictor of eating disorders, by the way). If literally any other treatment showed time and time again that it failed in 95-99% of patients, the medical world would drop it. Instead of letting data speak for itself, we have been twisting data to fit a narrative that we already believe and seek to uphold. That is not how science works. Why we haven't labeled prescribing weight-loss as medical malpractice by now is beyond me. Well, I wish I could say it's beyond me but I know exactly why.
Sorry for the rant, I'm sure you already know this. It just gets my blood boiling!! I'm sorry you're going through this, anon. And thank you so much, I'm really glad you're getting something positive out of this blog.
My advice to you is to make it clear to your doctor that you are not open to pursuing weight loss. Ask your doctor to recommend the same treatment for you as they would for a thin patient. Here's a guide for how to advocate for yourself at the doctor's office. If you receive any pushback from your doctor, find a new one.

Dr. Herman Branson (August 14, 1914 - June 7, 1995) was a pioneer in biophysics. Born in Pocahontas, Virginia, not much is known about his early life. He attended Virginia College and received a BS. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati where he received a Ph.D. and started a career in academia.
He served as Assistant Professor of Physics and Chemistry at Howard University. He served as the Director of the Experimental Science and Mathematics Technology Program in Physics. He became a tenured professor of Physics and was named Chairman of the Physics Department at Howard University.
He entered into a partnership with Linus Pauling at the California Institute of Technology. He focused on the structure of proteins. His process used mathematics to determine possible helical structures that would fit the x-ray data, as well as chemical restrictions that had been outlined by Pauling. He narrowed down the possible structures of two helices. The two coils were named Alpha and Gamma. Linus Pauling initially dismissed his work, saying that the shape of his coil was impossible. Pauling published the data in his name, giving him minor credit for his original research. In the initial press release from Caltech University, announcing the discovery of the Alpha Helix, his name is excluded. When Linus Pauling received a Nobel Prize for his contribution to Chemistry, he was not credited for his contribution.
He returned to Howard University as a full professor of Physics and Chairman of the Physics Department. He served as the President of Central State University. He assumed the position of President at Lincoln University of Pennsylvania. He continued to research and published more than one hundred articles in his lifetime.
He became one of the founders of the National Association for Equal Opportunity in Higher Education. He led a group of educators to the White House to speak to President Richard Nixon about the growing disparity in financing for higher education.
He spent the remainder of his life in Silver Spring, Maryland, surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren. #africanhistory365 #africanexcellence #alphaphialpha

I loved your essay for the English major! I'm an IT person myself, on purpose. LOL Have a BS in Comp Sci. Have you considered dabbling into data science, for funsies? It is no longer as mathy and comp sciencey anymore. There are tools that do those things for you as long as you organize the data to feed the algorithms to train it. Attention to details is a must.
Maybe you can feed it all your Meghan research and AI can tell you when Meghan will become BFFs with Kate. Oh wait, spoiler alert, AI said never. ha ha ha.
Funny you should mention data science. My agency's leadership is huge on training and I've actually been looking into some data analytics and data science classes. Primarily to help with our processes for program evaluation but believe you me, I have definitely considered it for the Meghan research - can AI predict what the next award they buy is? And when they buy it? Can AI predict who the next Permanent A-Lister Meghan will pitch for her 'Meet Me At The Lake' project? (I'm not sure who the director is. The blind is "mostly movie director" so it's not Chris Nolan like the comments are speculating since he's only ever done film. Maybe it's Spielberg? He did TV very early in his career.)

I’m a humanities person who spent high school struggling desperately to get Bs in math. And, despite being extremely white, I came from a household where that was not an acceptable grade
So I totally believe that humanities people tell themselves that STEM people don’t understand their fields as a coping mechanism. I used to tell myself that to feel better but I know loads of well read people who can’t do math to save their life but I’ve never met anyone who’s good at math and science but functionally illiterate.
I'm opening a can of worms by answering this ask so I'm not allowing reblogs but I kind of agree with you.
I'd say that at a place like Cornell, where everybody has to be a good student to get in, everybody in the College of Engineering or math/computer science major in Arts & Sciences can take a 3000-level Shakespeare class and get at least a B in it, assuming that they show up to class and do their assignments on time. But, there's no way in hell that most (not all) humanities majors can be put into like even a multivariable calculus class, which is the freshman year weedout class for engineers, and do equally well. I'm absolutely in the minority here as an English major that got an A- in multivariable calculus.
That aside from the fact that there are a lot of software engineers and data scientists etc. who read and write for fun! I'm a data analyst and I never shut up about what I'm reading and thinking about, and I'm a good writer! Everybody can communicate through the written word, even if they're not anywhere near Pulitzer-prize winning authors or as good at it as journalists are. There's no white-collar job in this day and age where you don't have to write emails, even a software engineer at Amazon or Google, and if your emails and slide decks explaining your work are total gobbledygook, you won't keep your job. But, do you really think that a writer for Vox codes for fun or knows how solve a differential equation?
The reason that this discourse keeps rearing its head is for two reasons:
Generally speaking, with exceptions of course, people who are successful in STEM make substantially more money than equally successful people in the humanities. A software engineer at Facebook that's right out of college makes more money than a ranking Member of Congress and about as much as a partner at a prestigious law farm, like the financial compensation is not comparable and everybody knows this.
The zeitgeist, whether it's the media or academia, is by and large run by people who are much better at the humanities than STEM, like it's the origin of the wordcel vs. shape rotator discourse and the wordcels have the final say simply because the shape rotators are so outnumbers among those who know what that is.
Does that make sense?

Blue Lock AU Thought Dump
Hi, I'm Comet and I have this massive AU that's taking up way too much space in my mind. So I'm just gonna dump it all here. This is basically a self-insert in second person pov lmao (if you recognise me no you don't)
I'm not a writer so it's just going to be random plot bits. Had to guess parts of the timeline to make it work...
Parings: possibly Sae x reader??? Idk lol, Ness is pretty cute
Timeline:
Age 2:
Your family moves into the Itoshi's neighbourhood
Your mom becomes besties with Mrs Itoshi
You befriend Sae (3) and Rin (1)
You enter kindergarten a year early (with Sae)
Age 5-10:
You attend primary school and develop an interest in data analysis while observing the Itoshi brothers' football practice (think Momoi from KnB)
Age 11:
You enter middle school with Sae
Sae (12) gets scouted and goes to Spain
You go abroad to study and get into coding (and eventually machine-learning + AI)
You remain close with Rin (10) but drift apart from Sae
Age 15:
Sae (16) briefly returns to Japan at the same time as you
The fated fight occurs and you take Rin's (14) side
While you understand Sae's pov, you do not agree with his approach and additionally blow up at Sae for being distant and not communicating
Communication with Sae completely stops
Age 16/17 – Present:
You graduate and return to Japan after deciding to take a gap year
You land a job as a lab assistant at a university research lab which somehow leads to you becoming a part-time manager/data analyst at Blue Lock
Notes:
Rin views you as a big sibling and calls you (name)-nii/nee (gender neutral honorific where?).
You are super observant and have an innate talent for spotting trends.
Where you study doesn't really matter but I did it with the UK (England specifically) in mind. Cuz I studied there and they have an extra year of secondary school compared to Japan. Also, the UK does year group cut-offs at September while Japan goes by birth year (I think...) so international students usually round down even if they can technically enter the year above. But you're smart so they put you in the year above.
Also, British slang is fucking hilarious and I want silly Manshine antics.
Unlike the US, it is really hard to skip grades in most other countries since the curriculums are so rigid but with this I can make Reader graduate early without making it too contrived lmao.
Also, independent schools (private schools but that means something else in the UK) tend to force you to learn all modern foreign language in lower years before you decide on your GCSE language. So I can have Reader have rudimentary understanding of French, Spanish and German. Full coverage baby!
The specific language you pick doesn't really matter but it's NOT Spanish (cuz Sae)
It's actually pretty much impossible to get a placement at a research lab right out of highschool cus demand is insane (I would know 😭😭) but let's pretend you have a super banging resume cuz you're smart as fuck idk
Still undecided on exactly when you join BL tho cuz I need Sae to be taken by surprise about you being there but I also want Reader to bond with the boys before NEL. Especially Shidou. So after third selection but a few days before Sae takes Shidou? Coincidentally, you are off-site for whatever reason.
Also, I want Reader to drag Rin out for the outing during the post U-20 break.
Hmm introducing Reader right after the win would also be interesting. Especially with Rin being in peak-angst mode. I want himself to do another behavioural 180° (more like 120°). Sae wouldn't be there cuz he'd be in the U-20 changing rooms. The outing thing could still happen if you exchange numbers with Bachira.
Actually, I like this idea more so I'm going with that. The Shidou bonding could wait.
Job description:
The next bits are completely pseudo-science and I'm bs-ing 💀💀
Anyway, the lab develops simulations of athletes as a training aid. They're collaborating with Blue Lock cuz where else can you find such a large sample size of athletes at a similar stage of development who also conveniently wear fancy biosignal-recording suits 90% of the time? Literally no where.
The only issue is that all the data is stored in servers located in the compound and, for data-protection reasons, need to be completely anonymised. For plot reasons, someone needs to be on-site most of the time to sort out server shit.
The data stuff is real in the UK and EU btw. That's why there's such a big fuss about certain US corps selling personal info. Not sure about Japan in particular tho but most BL participants are also underage so...
This is actually the reason they hired you lol. Especially since you're already familiar with the sport.
So you now have the job of making sure the data is being anonymised and transferred properly while the lab sends you occasional projects to work on. Which isn't too bad but Ego decided to make you a part-time manager to assist Anri (who's super busy with BLTV's explosive popularity) after witnessing your analytical skills.
At least it's amazing for your resume and you're paid EXTREMELY well...

#Cop28Dubai is a giant overflowing toilet of BS. There is now widespread denial of science, data, and reality: denial that we have already crossed many tipping points of no return. They all wait first to fall off the cliff, before they can call a cliff “a cliff” #ClimateCrisis
