Mock Book Cover 6: 'The Last Unicorn' by Peter S. Beagle

Thinking about the 'Little White Horse' brought me down a Unicorn book path for a little bit. So obviously, OBVIOUSLY, I was going to use the Unicorn tapestry for a fan-cover of the ultimate unicorn book: 'The Last Unicorn'. If you haven't seen the movie you're missing out, and it specifically references these tapestries in the opening. It's amazing. I felt really good about this cover, and it made me more confident to use stock/public work images.

The Challenge: Create a book cover in as little time as possible (don't look at me like that I have work and, shockingly, a full roster of commissions. Name of the game is fast or not at all). I am not allowed to make new art or illustrations for the covers, it must all be either old art I've made repurposed, or stock images. I have to make them on Photoshop, using only my trackpad (because I don't want to dig up my mouse from wherever it's hiding). And yes, the weird digital layer is on purpose in hopes of dissuading scrapping. Part 2 is to try to actually edit them into videos for TikTok, wish me luck!

Mock Book Cover 7: 'Dracula' by Bram Stoker

In the vein of 'classic novel covers with stock images' I found this neat photo of stain glass and decided to do Dracula!!! This one was fun to pull together.

Some book design mockups I did just for fun. Its been raining for past week and it really puts me on a very romantic mood so I conceptualized some front and back covers for non existent books heavily inspired by Voltes V Legacy which is currently my favorite local TV Show.

These designs are done using only my phone.

Apps used: Infinite Painter, Adobe Photoshop Mobile (Discontinued) and PixelLab. Book shots is done through Mediamodifier.
