i often feel very sad for the ultra rich. the more money they have, the more they have nothing. everyone strives and strives for meaning in life, looking for things to give them purpose and a reason to keep going. they don't realize the hole in their heart is God-shaped, and can only be satisfied by Him. our desire for eternity is because we were made for eternity; an eternity in Christ, full of Him and His wonders.
"And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your own soul?" (Mark 8:36-37)
For God loved ((your name)) so much that He gave His one and only Son, so that if ((your name)) believes in Him, ((your name)) will not perish, but have eternal life (with Him). (John 3:16, personalized)
transcript:
“The human soul is so large- that the world cannot fill it.” -Billy Graham
You could continually chase the pleasures of this world: money, sex, possessions, family, and still your soul would not be satisfied. Just as a blackhole consumes all in its path and remains hungry, so is your soul when filled with temporal things.
But what I give is not temporal. My Love, My life, My Everlasting Spirit. My promise of a future full of joys without end. You were built for eternity and your out for the things of eternity. Only I can feed you. Only I will satisfy.
Jesus replied, “Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring inside them, giving them eternal life.” -John 4:13-14

But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
As we stand at the cross of Christ we see a glorious exhibition of God’s love. Paul wrote, “While we were powerless to help ourselves . . . Christ died for sinful men.” In human experience, it is a rare thing for one man to give his life for another, even if the latter be a good man, though there have been a few who have had the courage to do it. Yet the proof of God’s amazing love is this: that it was “while we were sinners Christ died for us.”
Prayer for the day
It is beyond comprehension the love that took You to the cross for me. Humbly I praise and thank You, my Savior and my Lord.

Quote
[We] are not here by chance or by accident; God put us on this journey called life. We came from Him, and our greatest joy will come from giving ourselves back to Him and learning to walk with Him every day until we return to Him.

Quote
The difference between the non-Christian and the Christian is that the non-Christian makes sin a practice
the true Christian does not.

“Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.” —Psalm 100:3 (KJV)
“Seek God for Yourself” By Billy Graham:
“Whenever anyone asks me how I can be so certain about who and what God really is, I am reminded of the story of the little boy who was out flying a kite. It was a fine day to go kite-flying, the wind was brisk, and large billowy clouds were blowing across the sky. The kite went up and up until it was entirely hidden by the clouds. “What are you doing?” a man asked the little boy. “I’m flying a kite,” he replied. “Flying a kite, are you?” the man said, “How can you be sure? You can’t see your kite.” “No,” said the little boy, “I can’t see it, but every little while I feel a tug, so I know for sure that it’s there!” Don’t take anyone else’s word for God. Find Him for yourself, and then you too will know by the wonderful, warm tug on your heartstring, that He is there, for sure.
Prayer for the day: Thank You for loving me, God. This knowledge never ceases to amaze me. I praise and love You, my heavenly Father.”
