How to read your birth chart in a fun way
Tumblr media
This is mostly for newbies and beginners
When I first started learning astrology, i joined a lot of Facebook groups & I’ll never forget someone breaking this method down in a post.
I unfortunately can’t remember their name cause it’s been years now but this method always stuck with me; so thank you to that person
I hope it can help someone else out like how it did for me
Car and Road Trip Learning Method
Tumblr media
- birth chart is the road trip
- rising/ascendant is the the car model
-chart ruler(ascendant sign planet ruler) is the driver of the car
-sun is the car color
-moon is how you’re feeling about this road trip
-mercury is what you listen to on the radio and what you talk about while on the trip
- Venus is the relaxing and lovely places you’re going to visit
-Mars is the exciting and risk taking things you’re going to do
-Jupiter is the where you’re going to learn new things that shapes your perspective on life
-Saturn is where you might have some hiccups and obstacles but you’ll figure it out and will be fine.
-Uranus is the things you weren’t expecting to happen on this trip and it either made it better or worse
-Pluto is where the most intense but life changing things happened on this trip
-South Node is who you were before this trip and your current outlook on life
-North Node is the overall lessons you learned while on this trip that will shape you for the rest of your life. It’s who you’ve become after this trip
The houses are the different types of road trips you’ll be going on
1h-self discovery or solo road trip; may have planned this road trip on the fly
2h- fancy road trip that might’ve been costly
3h- road trip with sibling and best friends
4h- tracing your roots or going back to your hometown road trip; also family road trip
5h- fun or romantic road trip. Road-trip with your kid(s)
6h-health road trip; needing to get away from people to clear your head. Also could be a co workers trip
7h- close friends or business trip with co business partner. This is romantic getaway with your spouse.
8h-private road trip, you didn’t tell anyone where you were going lol
9h- educational road trip like to the museum
10h- business cooperation trip, a seminar type trip
11h-no destination, you’re just traveling lol, may go with large group of friends
12h- going to a very foreign land; somewhere overseas. Could be spiritual or creative trip

curly hair 101
hii :))
since "curls" is literally in my username, its only natural that I post about something for the curly girls :D
so why not start with a beginner's guide to curly hair :)
·°●·°●·°●·°●·°●·°●·°●·°●·°●·°●·°●·°●·°●·°●·°●·°●·°●
in this guide
hair types/ curl patterns
wash day routine + products
regular hair care
hair styles + cuts
Tumblr media
hair types
soo first of all i think its helpful if you get a gist of what hair type you have, e.g 2c, 3b, 4b etc...
its not mandatory and doesn't really mean anything but like it definitely aids when you're looking for haircair & inspo with hairstyles and haircuts and all that jazz 🤗 [ <- jazz hands :) ]
here's a chart to help you
Tumblr media
obviously do some of your own research if you're unsure- this isn't very in-depth and doesn't use irl examples
also keep in mind that you can have multiple, and a wide range of types on one head LOLL like mine ranges from 2C -> 3C 🫣
(PS: this guide will be tailored to type 2 -> 3 hair just because that's what I have experience with and don't want to potentially ruin anyone's type 4 hair 😭 but if aspects of this apply then feel free to apply them 😇)
Tumblr media
wash day routine + products
alrighty so i see some overcomplication/people being scared of curly hair washing- like looking at porosity and whatnot but IMO its really not that difficult
the only thing you really need to worry about for the washing aspect is getting moisturising (curly recommended) shampoo & conditioner, just cause if you don't it could dry out your hair and have a pretty dodgy finished product 😬 (I use Umberto Giannini for this)
washing is pretty standard:
wet your hair thoroughly, so that no part is dry
shampoo round 1, make sure to scrub thoroughly to get rid of any dirt and grime 🙈
rinse
shampoo round 2, this should turn your hair into its own bubble bath 🫧
rinse
condition, rake through your hair and make sure it is everywhere
let sit for a little bit, ~2 mins maybe
rinse
and thats it :))
don't use a regular towel, use a microfiber towel if you're using one at all so that all the moisture isn't drained from your hair before the rest of the products
now for the curly hair routine:
start with leave-in conditioner and run it through the entirety of your hair - I use Garnier leave-in, like the big tub
then run some curl cream through your hair and scrunch it in, make sure there is an even application throughout all the hair - I use the Shea Moisture curl cream
~ this next bit is optional because its a gel cast + styling but honestly id totally recommend going the extra mile for it cause it holds your curls for longer and makes ur hair softer ~
apply curly gel to your hair and scrunch it in, I use Aussie curl gel
for styling, I take the middle -> top sections of my hair, take some extra gel and finger coil the curls
let your hair air dry or diffuse
once completely dry, take some hair oil and scrunch it through your hair and separate any coils, I use argan oil
then you're done :))
Tumblr media
regular hair care
there isnt really much to say here tbh
only that
if you need to refresh your curls, you should be able to do it just by finger-coiling with water
DON'T brush your hair while dry, it causes breakage
if you sweat, your hair will most likely get frizzy
to tie your hair use a scrunchie
sleeping with a bonnet helps reduce frizz but icl I don't 🫣
Tumblr media
hair styles + cuts
okay let me preface this section by saying PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEEEE do some research about curly stylists in your area, I promise it will be worth it because curly hair cutting requires special training (despite the fact we've probably all cut our hair ourselves at some point 🙈)
now here are some things I usually ask for in a haircut:
a trim off the edges to keep my hair healthy (I have hair down past my shoulders)
2 or 3 layers to keep volume around my head so it doesn't look like a flat landslide...
some long bangs at the front to frame my face
obviously thats just me so do some extra research and see what you'd like
not much, but here are some hairstyles i usually do for everyday wear:
hair down (obviously 🤗)
high ponytail/bun with a few curls at the front
half up half down with a few curls at the front
Tumblr media
thats basically all the basics 🙃
i know its hard to start on a curly hair journey especially if you don't know what you're doing, so if you are (or aren't) i hope this was able to help you in some shape or form 🫶🤗

!! PLEASE SHARE AND REBLOG THIS POST ASAP !!
Update: 7/9/2023 (I will update the listings if they are added to the stores.)
Drawing Tablet Buyer's Guide 2023
Are you looking for help to get into digital art? Are you confused for what models would you pick? Do you want success in your art career? Then this blog is for you. These are the buyer's guide for artists who wanted to take approach on digital art. As always, you don't need a latest and greatest tools just to make good art. Your handy mouse and a trusty old tablet can do fine art at the time. My Intuos 4 L still works today, even if it was released on 2009.
Here are the basic categories you'll fit into: Beginner, Intermediate and Professional.
Beginner - This is where you start making digital art for the first time.
Intermediate - These are experienced artists who are on mid-range level at a greater value.
Professional - These are same as intermediate but who are on to take approach an high-end level to mimic the meaning art.
There are three types of pen tablets for you to decide. These have pros and cons on these tablets.
Pen Tablet - A pen tablet doesn't require a screen and can benefit for a user experience such as good posture, portability and pricing, but this requires hand-eye coordination as this type of tablet has a steep learning curve and drawing on it feels unnatural to use.
Pen Display - A pen display is a monitor that can be drawn into. It is easier to learn how to use pen displays and can mimic a sketchbook you were drawing. However, there are issues such as bad posture, expensive pricing and limited portability. Sometimes, your hand gets in the way through pinpoint cursor while drawing.
Pen Computer - These are pen tablets that can be used by themselves and don't require a computer, it can be portable for travel use. However, they are very expensive, limited to none upgradability, difficult and costly repairs and have a short battery life. As such, I do not recommend getting these pen computers for these reasons above and instead look for other mobile tablet alternatives such as iPad Pro, Surface Pro 8 or Samsung Galaxy Tab.
Here are the list of drawing tablet recommendations based on three categories.
NOTE: Prices may vary due to sale discounts so I only put links to the official store from drawing tablet brands so I'm gonna keep the original price for future references. However, Amazon is safer for returns and good units and eBay is the way to go for second hand offers.
If you're an osu! player looking for a pen tablet, I'd suggest getting an Intuos Pen and Touch Small 2013 (PTH-480) on eBay. One by Wacom Small (CTL-472) has the same performance yet cheaper. The only good alternative that doesn't suck is Gaomon S620. I recommend getting OpenTabletDriver for that purpose.
If you want to invest digital art, I highly recommend getting a medium size tablet for larger hand gestures.
