I just remembered one of my FAVORITE FAVORITE FAVORITE details in Batman. After Riddler is captured and they have his website pulled up, on a movie screen it's basically impossible to read the smaller text, but ONCE IT CAME TO STREAMING, YOU COULD.

I KNOW it seems impossible to tell, but on a big TV SCREEN you can read this text, and it says "lets take a poll... does he deserve it? if yes - feelsgoodman.jpeg, if no, feelsbadman.jpeg"

I FOUND THIS SO. SO FASCINATING when I first saw it, I was interested in the politics of the people who followed Riddler in-universe and this confirmed my theory that Riddler/Edward is apolitical, he's not "left" or "right". He's this phenomenon of severely troubled young men who are sort of apolitically disillusioned, they don't really care about POLITICS, they care about themselves and use populist language to express that because men often find it difficult to express emotions - the normal way. BUT. His FOLLOWERS aren't the same. They DO have a political leaning, and I think it leans right, and the use of PEPE-POSTING TO EXPRESS THIS IS SO. SO INTERESTING

I see your vivisection/dissection fics. I see your Identity Reveal Gone Wrong fics. And I offer you: Fenton parents who can accept that their son and Phantom are one and the same, but don't like the fact that he's a hero. Look at his grades, they're atrocious! He doesn't have a sleep schedule to speak of. Heroism is dangerous, what would he have done if they'd actually gotten him? At the end of the day, he's still their baby boy after all.

It doesn't matter that Danny is Phantom. But the Fenton parents are willing to do whatever it takes to stop him from being a hero.

but what if we get a scene where Eddie and Tommy are hanging out and having some heart to heart, and Tommy talks about being shot in the army and his life flashing before his eyes. and then asks Eddie what it was like when he got shot. and eddie gets kind of quiet, and then goes

“you know, I don’t remember much. I’ve been in other near-death experiences where it felt like life flashing before me, but it was more like a reminder of what i had to fight for to stay alive. when I got shot though … all I can remember is flashes of what was happening around me before losing consciousness. Buck in front of me, my blood on his face. I saw the blood and immediately got worried about him, like he was the one who got hurt. I was in shock, I guess. And then I fell. And Buck was on the ground too, on the other side of the engine, his eyes staring right back at me. And when reality of what was happening came crashing down on me I thought, okay. If this is how I’m supposed to go, okay. As long as it’s not him.”

Then he goes on telling Tommy about Chris and how he knew Buck would take care of him if he died, and you just know Eddie’s talking about it like it’s nothing. But there’s something in his expression that Tommy catches, and he doesn’t say or do anything about it but we see it in his eyes that he KNOWS. what then.

We don't talk enough about Jim Corrigan's backstory. He was about to get married when he died! His poor love interest. We really don't talk about any of that original spectre origin enough. As soon as he dies, jim gets apathetic and tries to push his fiance, Clarice Winston away. He can't marry her, because he can't force her to deal with marrying a ghost. He won't tell her he's dead, though. He never tells anyone about that. But he certainly grows detached from humanity. He was roommates with a guy named Wayne Grant, his fellow detective and a close friend of his. But after he dies, he moves out of the apartment. And I don't think we ever see Wayne Grant again, either.

But since nobody seems to know that Jim Corrigan died, I feel bad for anyone he was close to. To Clarice or Wayne or whoever, he must seem like a jerk. He broke off a marriage for no good reason, he ditched his friends, he just detached himself from humanity. And we need to discuss how messed up that was.

Posting a fic where Louis physically and psychologically abuses Armand, and also is so terrible in bed that he never manages or bothers to make Armand come, sure is a fucking choice. But then Armand has sex with Daniel who is so kind and makes him come and isn't that wonderful?

I don't know why I just felt the need to post about this but here is my small ramble about how Robb and Tywin, as enemies, understood each other pretty well.

Robb took advantage of the fact that Tywin underestimated him for a while and of the fact that he had a pretty big ego (he likes that people think he is the most powerful and feared man in the Seven Kingdoms) to win many battles and prepare the trap of attacking the Westerlands so that Tywin would attack him directly (Robb knew 100% it would work because the Lannister would obviously never let a 15 year old boy humiliate him in such a way).

And Tywin eventually read through Robb perfectly. He saw he was actually being a good leader to his men and stopped underestimating him and that he was not afraid of him (or Jaime, or any one else really) because he had not lived the many moments that made older people fear him AND BECAUSE HE WAS WINNING (something very important because Tywin has probably seen many people get too confident and fall because of it).

Hey, in case you were wondering another reason that that hug kicks me in the stomach.

I have this silly little headcanon about Sami.

That the reason Sami wears his hair tie on his left wrist is because it reminds him of the bracelet Kevin gave him. The bracelet that Kevin stole and put there himself in a moment of pure intimacy. The way that he'd felt so completely loved in that moment, with that bracelet on his wrist, and how incomplete he'd felt when it was no longer there.

And how, when his hair had gotten long enough to tie back and he'd slipped his hair tie around his wrist the first time, that sensation, that moment came flooding back and he knew he would always wear the hair tie on his wrist. Just a simple hair tie around his wrist, always reminding him of what he'd had, what he'd lost, and, in the end, what he'd chosen to give up.

Sami was wearing the hair tie when Kevin hugged him.

He had it on his wrist, like an echo of the bracelet, in the moment that his lover finally returned to him.

That hair tie represents so. damn. much. to me and, yeah. Him wearing it and it being clearly visible while he's clinging to Kevin there...

It's everything to me.
