Fulgrim - My knee jerk reaction is snake, Slaneesh saw n made it happen, but I was torn because honestly when I think of Fulgrim, I think about his hair. Solution, hood like a cobra. I would love to draw Fulgrim as a Medusa now

Perturabo - Look, this all started with the Ultramoorines, and (possibly) bad news, Petty Turbo is also Bull. Same sacred symbolism situation between cultures, plus shit temper, and stubbornness. 

Khan - Okay, I'm not gonna say horse. He likes horses, I don't think he is one. I did think the basic bitch answer Cheetah, but that does not have enough flavor. He's a Hawk. That man is a hawk. 

Leman Russ* - Wolf. I really want to appologize for saying something so obvious.

Dorn - Gonna be real, knee jerk reaction is his Fursona is human. “Humans are animals” mfer.

For real though, wasp. The kind that makes nests in your rafters - builders, short temper, color scheme - I'd hear the argument for Bees as well. 

Konrad Curze - Now, a lot of people associate night lords as bats, AS THEY SHOULD. It is the morally correct thing to do. However, HOWEVER, might I interest you in cat boy Curze? 

Listen, feral bastard, actual night vision not echo location, one of the most efficient hunters in the animal kingdom. Also, someone here on Tumblr dot com said "Konrad with a cat mom" and I will never not wish that in my deepest soul.

Sanguinius - His alluded me. He's got wings, there's been jokes about him being a goose....but he wears a leopards pelt, maybe could take some licenser with that?

Until it hit me.

It's griffin. He likes big cats, has wings, and I want more mythical creature primarchs. Plus, they got an air of nobility while, also, kinda being a mutant in their own way. 

Ferrus - Armadillo Lizard. Look, imma be real, I don't know much about him. However, he's gotta be a reptile to match Fulgrim, and the metal arms translates to armor scales in my mind. I think the evolution of the scales would please him too, cause the Iron Fists got that whole weakness of the flesh thing going on. I think. Also cute as fuck

Angron - I was thinking maybe something that balanced before n after nails, but honestly, Wild Boar. Angry bastards. Also associated with gods of War :3

Guilliman - is locked in, Bull/Cow. I've heard Ultramoorines started due to either the symbolism, or Guilliman wanting to be a farmer. Either is fantastic….but if I COULD change it…Owl just because of Minerva? Felt worth saying lol.

Mortarion - I was thinking Spider for some reason, but I think ultimately it's another one where the chaos god called it. Also, I can see him really liking Moths in general.

Magnus - I've seen him likened to a jackal, and I do really like that. And it would be fun to draw. However, I'd be lying if I said I didn't think Ibis fits better. Ibis was associated with Thoth - God of Wisdom, so big point there, but, once more, chaos god involvement = birb. 

Horus - Capybara 

Okay, okay. So Horus obviously likes wolves, but bro is domesticated honestly. He's really good with people, he charms them. He is a dog. 

Lorgar - Ram!!! He's got that biblical sheep symbolism energy. And horns. And I can't think of anything else lol 

Vulkan* - Dragon. Big, happy dragon.

Corvus Corax* - Raven.

This is a 2012 take I've had for a while now, and I'm so happy I made art about it today because I genuinely love talking about it !! 🗣️

This isn't meant to be 2012 Leo slander whatsoever, because I adore him and don't think he's terrible or anything (He's literally my favorite pick for the 2012 Turtles-) ! But I do feel that he admittedly had a lot of poor leadership moments at times (Especially in late Season 3 to Season 4- 💀), and I feel like a lot of the burden of having things accessible / ready / or even remotely feasible in order to have Leo's plans actually work out fell on Donnie. Without much appreciation or acknowledgment of that fact from Leo or anyone else for that matter.

I feel like if any of the brothers had a right to argue with Leo about leadership or how things were being run under him, it should have been Donnie, because Donnie had more than enough of a leg to stand on for that argument. I'm not trying to invalidate Raph's feelings or perspective, because I'm not saying I don't understand the angle of him being upset about Leo's blatant favoritism when it came to their Father and that being a big reason why he was so obstinate with Leo- But that aside, I don't feel like he had much of an argument to make when it came to presenting himself as a better option as far as leadership-?? I get retconning canon and that this could've just been the writers depicting Raph in a way that some of you may disagree with, but if we're basing this opinion on the Season 1 episode, "New Girl In Town", we can clearly see that he wasn't very well equipped to fill that role in the way that Leo was. And speaking of that particular episode, it was actually Donnie who stepped up when things were getting really bad with Snakeweed in the sewers- 👀

This is why I depict Raph in this scenario accepting this outcome and not being super defensive or acting like he should be included in the conversation, because I kind of have him admit that he wasn't the best at it-!

I'm also sorry, because there was so much more I wanted to draw, and instead of being able to show those things I'm just going to say them here-! For example, Splinter's involvement in the situation. I pretty much don't have him do anything about the unanimous vote, because in his eyes, this team's dynamic / structure is this team's business and he doesn't really have a place to say whether or not they change who leads the team. Sure he chose Leo in the beginning, but if they decide to come to a different decision, they're fully in the right to do that. So Leo couldn't exactly get Splinter to come to his defense,, 👍 || I also wanted to show more of Donnie and Leo both being pretty content with this new dynamic change after a while ! I somewhat got to explore that with the last image of Leo being able to fully explore his hobby / interest in astronomy, but I also wanted to show Donnie feeling very fulfilled and respected within this group of siblings and friends now that he is the team leader, with that being really satisfying for him ! || I also wanted to show Donnie having his first leader breakdown post the Kraang Invasion of Season 2, with Leo comforting him at the Farmhouse and expressing empathy having been in his position many many times before,, He just never really told his brothers about it because he didn't want them to worry and he honestly felt ashamed for breaking down so much,, <:/

Also, you know I can't resist putting 2012 Jonatello in everything I make, so of course this is going to have Jonatello moments too ! I just didn't get around to it yet- One of those things was going to be Casey becoming the second mechanic in the group in order to take off some of the work load on Donnie since now he's juggling even more than he used to-! The way Casey expresses not only concern but so much support for Donnie gives Donnie butterflies, okay- 👀💜🖤✨ Lmao

I guess the last thing I'll mention is kind of April's role and everything, since I want her to join Mikey in encouraging Leo to really explore himself as an individual now that he doesn't have to be defined by the leadership role anymore ! She's very supportive of him just being able to be himself and figure that out during this time ! But I also wanted her to better explain to Leo why she also agreed with this leadership change, since I can see him feeling a little betrayed by her. With Leo most likely assuming that she would have tried to reason with Donnie or get him to see a different side of the situation. I wanted to be very clear that she did not agree with Donnie because she felt bad for him or because of the weird crush he had on her and she didn't know how to be honest with him, etc. etc., you know what I mean? 👍✨

Really Scuffed theory post to be posted with no comment: Okay so we know a few things. The blood curse is new to this loop and the Director doesn't hurt anyone (prev) besides other Siffrin's. The blood curse could be caused my one of two interpretations in my mind.

1: The Director has spent too long in the loops and is getting past the point of seeing people as actors and into seeing them as completely disposable. Actors still are people playing a role, were past that they aren't people at all. The blood curse is a new variable for xem to stay entertained or to inflict suffering on themselves. This is def possible but doesn't quite fit the director's response to Odile (though it could be different with the party). Once made the director would have no way of ensuring it doesn't spread to her family (if I'm understanding how it spreads correctly). Which makes this seem much less possible to me.

2: The world is breaking and the blood curse is one of the many possible results. The color red while associated with blood for us has always been associated with the world breaking down in isat. In response of too many loops (or emotion not sure which did it in act 5) or in response to people trying to remember the forgotten country (going against wish craft). It could that the universe can no longer handle the amount of loops happening. This would be interesting because not only is Siffrin under a timer so is the whole world. Would the director still want to kill Siffrin so bad if they knew it would end their family? It could be that the universe no longer approves of what is happening or the outer wish got out of scope. The wish is no longer serving its original purpose so things are breaking. This implies an Urgency that might be enough to get loop fully involved. It with the idea of the next outer loop destroying everything at the very least might make the director hesitate for a second; purely because everything includes the party.

Shop Repairs

Crossover dp x dc. So I've got this time line in mind, for my crossover AU and this is a snippet of it. Master Post: Lost Retirement

Jason has to find a solution, quickly: during the last mission his bike received more damage, than he had planned. Bringing it back to the cave will take too long, not to mention the repair time, that he can't make time for! And here's another thing: for like the past week or so, the pits have been acting extremely weird. Bubbling and flaring up randomly, like this pissed off but not revenging rage, if that makes sense?? What is going on???

Jason absolutely hated his luck: not only did these bastards get away, not only was it a pain in the ass anyway to hunt them down, not only did they take their goods with them as they fled after, not only kicking Hood's ass- ohohoho no! Of course his sweet baby had to be pulled into it! They used his bike as shield!! HIS FUCKING BIKE-!!!

The silvered raven groans annoyed, the pits are flaring up again too! He can't even get to the bat cave and fix her up, because he needs her by tomorrow and he does not have the right parts. Let alone the time, since he's got this meeting with this building company to talk over the plans for the Alley's new community gardens he wants to build. So naturally he's on his way to bring her to the only guy he trusts with her, when suddenly the pits flare up again!- right, rightrightright... Of course that wasn't enough, since the pit seemed to have even more problems in the past week, with him feeling like he got run over by trucks. The constant whispering and screeching and hissing about an intruder in his territory, inside his head- ...at this point it's just tiring.

Red Hood was deep in thought, in fact he was so deep in thought, that his feet have carried him all the way to the little mechanics shop and maybe, just maybe, he could be a little lucky today? Please? And they have everything and the damage wasn't as bad as it seemed? The pit is rumbling and gurgling disgustingly and he can see the green tinge slowly creeping into the corners of his eyes. Panic floods him, there's not a single one of the birds or bats around to help him now-

Hood tried his best, to take deep breaths. Steady his thoughts and fight back, imagining Dick would be there helping him concentrate. The mental image of his family just being there for him, helped a little, lately their bond has gotten better and Jason can definitely tell- snap out of it! He can't have a panic attack in the middle of the road! Not as the Red Hood at least... With one last, deep breath Hood's feet begin to move again, as he rounded the corner and pulled into the open garage door or the workshop.

"Ah-hah! The Red Hood," the old man behind the little counter laughs and stands up, Hood's shoulders relax at the sight and sound of him. "Tell me, tell me niño, what can I do for you? Have not seen you in a while, eh?" Mateo, the owner, shakes the vigilante's hand with a big smile and a small hug.

"Hey Tío," he greets back, hugging back briefly and gently. "My bike got... Involved in the action... Please tell me you can fix her by tomorrow, Tío." If it wasn't for the modulator in his mask, Hood would have sounded tired, which Mateo must have known, as he started to laugh out loud before answering.

"Alright, alright. I'll take a look, eh? But no promises." Mateo leaned down slowly with a huff and a grunt, until the man kneeled in front of the motorcycle. He called out for someone, after trying his best to look at the machine. Hood couldn't hear what Mateo said, he was too distracted with suddenly being confronted by Mateo's high age. Neither Jason, nor Red Hood have been here in a while and he mentally scolded himself for it. Jason helped out here and there, ever since he came back, ever since before Bruce... Mateo has always been there- been right here. Hood just wasn't ready yet; Jason wasn't ready. He hadn't realised how old the man was really getting, until now. Now that he sees him squinting at the details, sees him having trouble with finer motor skills of the machinery and now even so much as getting back up again after kneeling down. Hood forced himself back to reality, when Mateo tried to get back up but only grunted, he was about to take a step closer, help, something when-

"¡¡Tío!!" Suddenly a young man was faster. Analysis; same blue overalls as Mateo, just that the upper part is tied around his waist, dirty white t-shirt, work gloves, steel toed work shoes and one black sleeve, seemingly some kind of compression cuffs, on his right arm covering it completely- must be working here, well enough acquaintaned with Mateo, was in the back probably does the work now. Pale skin, dark raven hair with a few snow white streaks- good style! Hehe... And bright blue eyes, that are full of worry and- "Tío, how often did I tell you, just say something! ¿¡Eres estúpido!?" The young man scolded the older, grinning and chuckling one, but Hood didn't listen he was just staring... Jason couldn't look away from these electric blue eyes, that reflected in a strange neon green, that he just knows. The pit was bubbling over, growling and screaming at him and panic rose up like a lump in his throat, nearly clogging it and slowly suffocating him, as his vision is tinging green, bit by bit. This is not happening now, not now!! Shit!! What is he supposed to do!?

Suddenly the same voice breaks through to him; "...fuck, it's you..." And they both look at each other for a moment, then Hood reached for his gun immediately, the second the other man moved- He is the intruder! Shred him... "Wait! I-I'm so sorry! Ancients... I had an offering, but I forgot it at home. I swear, I do not mean any harm, to your haunt nor people nor you! I never meant to be disrespectful." The man held his hands up in surrender and the green subsided slightly from Jason's vision- how?? "-look; if it's good for you, I'll have her ready by tomorrow, as you asked, free of charge. Can that be my offering? Would that be acceptable for you?" And the pits calmed down... Hood stood there, frozen in place, overwhelmed and absolutely shocked, yet strangely relieved. The man also didn't sound hysterical, just calm enough to make it believable that... He wasn't scared... Against every bit of sanity left in his brain, the Hood nodded, his hand no longer hovering over his gun's holster. He straightened up.

"Explain." He growled, shocked by himself how much venom there was in his voice and how deep the rumbling of the growl was... As if it's coming from his chest. But moreover: what does this guy have to do with the pits!? And why the F U C K can he calm it down by T A L K I N G!?

"Okay, listen..." The man sighs, then contemplates something, looking Hood up and down, asassing him. "Alright, uhm... Name's Danny, my siblings and I just got here. We won't make any trouble and just need a place to stay, for now. The only reason I'm entering your haunt is because I work here and it's the only place that would hire me. Again my offering of doing a full round up on your bike still stands. If you don't wanna accept, that's your choice and I'll find something else, somewhere else. Okay?" Hood did listen; the man's alone, apparently desperate for money or else other places would do, he takes care of his siblings and cares for people seeing his instant worry about the old man, peaceful indeed with immediate surrender... And even a useful offering. ...what?

"Fine." Hood sighed, the other man, Danny, also sighed probably from relief. Wait... Where the hell did Mateo go?? Upon realisation, the larger one looked around,

"...Mateo's in the back office. I just... I just sent him back. Uhm..." He fidgeted a little, then stuck his hand out awkwardly. "How about this: Hi, I'm Danny. I take care of the work here now... And you're the Red Hood, that's kinda cool- I mean you are cool, like,... Sorry, I'm new to Gotham." Then Danny smiled awkwardly at him, as if he didn't just threaten to get shot. Hood stared but slowly reached out to grab the hand and Danny's smile widened, revealing the smallest hint of fangs. Hoods guard should be up but for some reason... This somewhat aggressive friendliness was welcome, somehow. "Right! The Ducati!" Danny reminded himself and moved his attention and body to the machine straight away.

"...and you'll be able to get her ready by tomorrow?" Hood asked after a moment of watching him looking through his bike. Danny perked up, seemingly ripped from his focus;

"Huh? Oh, uh... Yes, definitely! Seems like nothing too vital got hit. The tank is still good, the engine and the battery are also unharmed; a blessing in disguise, it's just...maybe a handful of tubes and a couple cables. I'll get you a round check, change the oil and clean up the painting. Be back at..." Danny thought about it. "Would five sound good?" He offered and that was admittedly fast, yes. Hood hummed in agreement.

"Make it six, deal." The vigilante held his hand out to the mechanic, who shook his hand for the deal and then made a little surprise yelp, as he got hoisted back up. Surprisingly light, but lean built. No directly visible muscles, but Danny still holds up strong. With one last look at his baby, then a warning glare at Danny, who ironically seemed to understand as he lifted his hands in surrender again and a small smile.

"I promise, I'll take good care of her. Will make her purr like a kitten." Because if not... What is he talking about? That guy has his family waiting at home and can't even change locations properly. As Hood walked out and began to his closest save house, it suddenly clicked in his mind, when he realises one fundamental thing, as he listened to the streets in Crime Alley and nothing else... That's exactly it, for once Hood didn't hear anything from the pit... As if it's completely gone. The static sensation in his mind, only picked up again slowly, the further away he got.

So this Danny guy has something to do with the pits and Jason will find out how...

"Ta-da!" Danny grinned proudly, as he showed Red Hood his bike, looking brand knew right out the factory. His eyes grew wide under the mask,

"Holy shit..." Hood rounds the machine, softly gliding over every visible surface. Checking even some of the nooks and crannies, after all he has to make sure it's all in proper order. Danny crossed his arms, sure of himself. "... I'll admit, that's good work." Danny nods, his smile widening in appreciation for the man's work.

"Rev her." The smaller man instructed, Hood for once did what he was told without hesitation and it paid: as he ignited the engine and let her reel, the machine simply purred. Litteraly just purred. Low, menicing bass and silent efficiency...

"Holy shit!" He shut her off again, for now. "That..." Hood gestures in slight disbelief, "that's real good work. Thanks man." He holds out a hand, Danny looks down at it, less smiles and a little more perplexed but nonetheless, the shorter one grabs it. What he seemingly didn't expect was for Red Hood to haule him in shoulder bumper- ey, he may be the Red Hood, but he's still from the hood. Danny just starts smiling again. "I mean it, damn fine. I'll bring her around more often, when she needs it. How much?" He reaches for his wallet, cash only of course, but he got waved off.

"Nonsense. Is the least I can do." Danny made his way already around the counter, typing away at the computer and scribbling something in a black book.

"For what? You did the work-"

"-Woopsies! Looks like I already started closing our only register! Oh man, I'm such a dummy! Urgh! My clumsiness...!" Danny exaggerated dramatically, then leaned onto the counter with one elbow. The other hand on his hip, "forget it, the register's closed, we don't take payment anymore." That smug little bastard then had the audacity to start grinning and daringly lift an eyebrow. ...and honestly, the vigilanty couldn't help but smile at this. Danny can be a little shit, apparently, just as he himself which by all means is entertaining. Hell, even the pits began flairing up in an unusually positive way, almost like a low but friendly rumble in his rest.

"Okay, fine... But I can't let this stand unattended." Danny, yet again, waved him off. But there, just for a brief moment, the way his eyes sparked like an idea, he rushed to scribble something out. Then Danny came over.

"Alright... when you're done with your mission, shoot me a message. There's something I'd actually like to talk about..." The mechanic said, shifting a little nervously, but never loosing the hint of a smile on his lips. The pits gurgle a little shrill, almost like dieing chirping... Oh!- uninted, but good one, heh. But now Hood was definitely intrigued, for the lack of better words.

"...Sure." He agreed, with that he swung himself onto his sweet baby and nodded the other bey, who mirrored the action as response and took a few steps back, to give Hood enough space to start up. As he did right in that moment, then he was gone again, into the night.

Even the pits have massively quieted down again, after deeming the young mechanic non-threatening. Yeah, he still needs to figure out, what that guy has to do with the lazarus pits, but right now he's got one real big fish to catch, fillet and fry for what he did and did to his machine.

Part 2

Tw: Past neglect messing with relationships, unhealthy friendships

You arrived in Japan three days before the new semester starts, and spent the next few days getting a refresher on your etiquette lessons. (Your grandparents had a family friend, Anne-Sophie, work with you. She was a quiet but kind woman, one who filled you with a quiet longing for a mother like that.)

You start school with a decision to stay in the background. You aren’t very interested in getting involved in drama, so you avoid any big clubs, spending most of your time in the library, or looking for a quiet place to study.

You manage to stay away from drama for about six days… until you befriend two guys who are apparently infamous through the school.

The first one you befriend is Umehito Nekozawa, a quiet boy who consistently wears a black cloak. He’s sweet, despite his dramatics and darkness. (He reminds you of the parts of Gotham you actually liked.) He was also a great study partner.

You don’t really join in on his black magic club meetings, but you occasionally help him with set up when he asks. He also works as a great buffer between you and other people. (Way too many of the people here were dramatic idiots.)

Your second friend, the one that takes you a bit longer to realize is a friend, is Ritsu Kasanoda. He apparently just scared people off with his appearance, but you were so used to people glaring at everything that it barely phased you.

You only really realized how lonely he was when you agreed to be his lab partner in one of his classes, and everyone around you looked like you had signed your own death warrant.

They were both great friends, even if they could be a bit clingy. You didn’t really mind. You were so used to being lonely, and everyone else was so overwhelming.

(You don’t realize how much you affect them. No one has ever approached Umehito so fearlessly, or been so kind and considerate of his allergy to the sunlight. You didn’t make it a big deal. You were his moon goddess, his lovely symbol of worship.) (he will be a platonic yandere, but right now he’s very ambiguous.)

(You are the first person to look at Ritsu as if he isn’t scary. You are kind but blunt, and you look at him with no fear. Everyone else has always been scared of him, even his own father, but you… you just smile. You stay by him, treating him with kindness. His yandere behavior doesn’t settle until the day you choose him as your lab partner, and thank him for joining you. You even tell him you are glad he is your lab partner, because “everyone else in this class is tiring”.)

(Both of them notice how uncomfortable you are with attention, and willingly use their reputations to make people leave you alone. Ritsu especially loves it, as you look at him so gratefully whenever he scares people off.)

( To Umehito, you are a goddess, a being of kindness and soft light. To Ritsu, you are an innocent child, a person who looks at him with no fear that he needs to protect.)

(You don’t notice the Kasanoda family setting up a detail around your routine to protect you. You don’t notice how much Umehito stares at you, or how Ritsu treats you like you are fragile.)

(When you grow up without solid relationships, you don’t realize how boundaries should be formed. You don’t pick up on the difference between healthy and unhealthy relationships, when all your life you wished for a real relationship.)

(Humans need relationships so much, that when we are deprived of them, it is a physical ache. So growing up with so few relationships? That alters your mind.)

You weren’t wanted by either of your parents. That had been the cold hard truth that you had known since you were nine years old.

Your mother was a member of a wealthy family. While she wasn’t the heiress, that title belonging to her older sister, she still had a lot of money at her disposal, and took long trips to different places.

That was how she met Bruce, and she had a one night stand with him.

She didn’t realize she was pregnant until it was too late for a termination, and her parents threatened to cut her off if she gave up their grandchild. So she reluctantly kept you.

You were mostly raised by a revolving door of nursemaids and babysitters until you were five, and your mother deemed you old enough to be alone. You saw your mother about three times a year, during which she would play a doting mother in public before verbally tearing you down in private.

You were five when you understood you were a burden to her. You were eight when you stopped desperately searching for her love.

You were nine when she died in an accident, and your biological father had to take you. (Your grandparents were too old to take care of you, and your aunt was rarely seen outside of a board room, and was unwilling to take you.)

You had a few days of hope for a family, since Bruce Wayne was known for being an amazing father to his children.

That belief was shattered after you moved in and you were basically shunned by everyone. Bruce was cold and rushed around you. Tim was cold and distant. Dick acted nice, but he barely gave you a minute of notice. Even Alfred was constantly brushing you off, though he had a decent excuse.

The final hope was shattered when, three weeks after you moved in, your birthday passed unacknowledged and unnoticed. The only sign of it was the text from your grandparents and the package you received from them two days later, filled with nice dresses for you.

You grew up quietly, keeping to yourself. You had weekly calls with your grandparents, but didn’t mention the family.

The breaking point was when you were 13, and Damian arrived. You thought now, finally, you would have someone like you. That belief lasted six hours, until you were almost stabbed by the menace.

It was one of the first times the family spoke to you, and it was to tell you not to overreact. You barely held back the rebuke and bitter laughter.

The worst part about Damian’s arrival? The fact they loved him. Even though he kept acting out and threatening people and generally being a prick, Bruce made time for him and brought him to meals. Dick showered him in affection. Even Alfred was softer with him. It wasn’t fair. You were a perfect kid and they didn’t care about you, but in comes a kid with the same story as you but with a worse attitude, and he is loved unconditionally?!?

It wasn’t fair.

After the fifth time Damian almost killed you without reprimand, you contacted your grandparents and asked about returning to the country. They eagerly told you about a high school in Japan that wasn’t far from one of their houses, filled with people of your status and known for giving its graduates a great advantage in later years.

Two days later, you approached Bruce with the papers to okay your move for the school year and signing custody over to your grandparents temporarily while you were in Japan. You had a whole speech prepared in your mind defending the choice, but he signed without even bothering to ask any questions. (You didn’t cry, even as you felt a lump in your throat. Despite everything, you thought he would at least care enough to ask questions.)

You boarded a plane a month later, reading your new textbooks as you flew. You took the sparkling champagne (non alcoholic) from the flight attendant and raised your glass in the direction of Japan, your new future.

“To Ouran Academy and my future there.” You murmur softly before downing some of your drink.

Mark Darrah: "Okay, let’s talk about 2017, which I consider the most impactful twelve months in BioWare’s history. Or at least in recent memory. Actually, I’m lying, I’m gonna back up a little bit and I’m gonna start in late 2016, but I’m gonna stick to twelve months. We’ll just go to the later part of 2017, we won’t go all the way to December. In late 2016 we are reaching the point when Mass Effect: Andromeda is trying to ship. It has been grabbing resources from around BioWare for a while, but in this last push, we reach a decision that is different than anything we have done in BioWare’s history, at least in recent memory. And that is, I actually led this final team that came onto ME:A. If you look in the ME:A credits you’ll see the Dragon Age Finalling Team, DAFT, and I’m on that team. My feeling at the time was, the Dragon Age team was feeling jerked around, they were feeling like we were getting no support from BioWare or from EA, which was basically true, and that by me leading the group onto the project, I could then, when ME:A finished, lead that group as well as the other resources that were supposed to come back to Dragon Age back. That’s not ultimately what ended up happening, and we’ll get into that in a second. But what it was, how it was different, this was the first time where we had this leadership discontinuity where the person in charge of a project left that project to help someone else, some other project, while the project continued to run. In the case of ME:A, I don’t think the impact to Dragon Age was huge, it wasn’t very long. But it did set this precedent as this being a thing that we could do. And it’s not a good thing to do. It is incredibly dangerous to have a project run while it’s missing some of its core leadership. So we move forward, and now ME:A ships, and it doesn’t go well. BioWare had had a pretty good run of games that were pretty well-reviewed, pretty well-received, or if they, like Dragon Age 2, had some challenges, those challenges were easily rationalized away. With ME:A that got shaken. ME:A was shipped in a state that had quality bugs because of relatively small things that subsequently got fixed but really damaged the project at launch."

"In 2016 the part of EA that BioWare reported into changed. We went from, strangely, reporting in through part of the Sports organization, to reporting into someone new, and the result of that was that now, our EA leadership went from being benignly disinterested in us, I would say, not really understanding what we did, and being willing to let us do our best on our own, to someone that was hyper-interested in us, and really wanted to be involved in the day-to-day, in the decision-making, on the project. You can decide for yourself if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. It definitely was a dramatic change in BioWare’s interaction with the rest of the EA organization. One project they weren’t particularly interested in was ME:A, because they had little to gain from the success of ME:A and little to lose from its failure, so I do think one of the reasons why BioWare moved on from ME:A as quickly as it did is because the group that we reported into had very little stake in either the success or the failure of the project, and they had a lot more incentive for BioWare to move onto the next thing, that they could tie themselves to, and show themselves as having influence on the development of. Coming out of ME:A, I was feeling like Dragon Age was still not getting adequate support. We hadn’t gotten the people from Montreal that were supposed to come onto Dragon Age yet. They were still doing stuff with ME:A. And I went to Patrick Söderlund at the time, and said, I don’t feel like I’m getting the support from the organization that Dragon Age deserves. I don’t feel that I’m getting the support from the organization that Dragon Age needs. And from Patrick, as well as from Andrew Wilson, I got lots of assurances that Dragon Age was incredibly important, that we were going to get what we needed, what we wanted. In addition to that, I also got a large amount of stock to try to say, please stay, here are some financial handcuffs, to try to tie you to the organization. Around the same time that I’m getting these assurances from the greater EA org, that Dragon Age is really important, I have a conversation with the person that ran the organization that BioWare used to be a part of. And that interaction basically went like this: ��I can’t believe you’re still at EA. Dragon Age still isn’t getting people. How can you deal with this?’ And, I guess in retrospect, yeah, that is a really good question."

"In the middle of 2017 Casey Hudson suddenly returns. I say suddenly because I found out that Casey was returning at the same meeting that everyone else at BioWare found out. Because there was worry about leaks, there was a meeting held where both Aaryn Flynn was announced to be leaving and Casey Hudson was announced to come back. And then the press release went out during that meeting. So there was literally zero time between when the people at BioWare knew and when the general public knew. You have to remember, I am the second-most senior person at BioWare. Casey was interviewed, and hired, and prepared to be brought back entirely without me being consulted in any way. Would me having been involved in the process changed the decision? No, I don’t think it would have. But there is an immense amount of disrespect involved in making a hire of this impact, in making a decision of this import, without involving the second-most senior person at your studio in any way. So I actually went from the meeting where it was announced that Casey Hudson was coming back to lead the studio to my desk and sent a couple of emails. And those emails said, essentially, I believe what is going to happen in very short order is that Casey is gonna convince the organization that Anthem needs all-hands on deck. It’s gonna starve Dragon Age out even further, and this goes against what we literally just talked about a few months ago. And the email responses that I got back were, no no no no, Dragon Age is super important, that is not what’s going to happen, we are committed to Dragon Age, we are committed to you leading Dragon Age. And, as we all know, that’s not what happened at all. In very short order, in basically exactly the way that I predicted, Anthem was seen as needing greater support, needing greater leadership support, and myself and some other very senior people, as well as a large percentage of the Dragon Age team, was moved onto Anthem."

"Between Casey returning and the everyone on Anthem, we lose everyone in Montreal. This happens really shortly after Casey returns. Casey’s return was announced on July 18th and the loss of the Montreal staff was August 1st. So it’s only two weeks between the two different events. The people in Montreal had been told some stories. They’d basically been lied to, and told that Dragon Age didn’t want them, and that they were going onto other parts of the EA organization because BioWare couldn’t keep them anymore. And, from my perspective, that is a complete fabrication. When this started to happen, I spent 100% of my time trying to force Dragon Age through one of its gates. And the reason for this is that going through that gate theoretically would have allowed Dragon Age to get much larger, would have allowed Dragon Age to keep those people. Politically I don’t think there was any way that that was going to happen. I, there were very senior people on the ground in Montreal who wanted those people, and proximity is a powerful tool, and I don’t think there was any way I could make the argument to keep those people. But I tried. So if you are someone who’s been mad at me since 2017 because you feel like I abandoned you in Montreal, know that that’s not what happened. Know that I fought with every tool that I knew how to wield to try to keep you. But the organization had no interest in that occurring. Were there backroom deals happening between BioWare and the rest of EA at that time? If there were, I was not involved in them. I was definitely fighting tooth and nail to keep everyone in Montreal on Dragon Age. Because we were ready to start getting bigger. I certainly hope there were no backroom deals. Given the timing, given how early Casey was in his role, it seems unlikely that he was brokering such a deal, and it seems unlikely that Aaryn would have brokered such a deal in his last days. I suppose it’s possible for either of them to have done so, but I think what’s more likely is that leaders on the ground in Montreal were taking advantage of the relative leadership vacuum at BioWare to take those people away. But, like I predicted, that’s not what EA was interested in. What they wanted to see, is they wanted to see Anthem. That perfectly-crafted story that was told back in 2012, 2013, continued to hold immense sway within the organization. And now that Casey was back, it was stronger than ever."

"You can see in this time, my trust in the EA organization is being constantly hammered, constantly challenged. Additionally, in this time period, Mike Laidlaw leaves, because he sees the same things that I see. And while I end up going on Anthem, he sees a lot of frustration in the future for Dragon Age, and he decides that it is better for him to look for opportunities elsewhere. Which is certainly understandable. So part of the excuse for moving people off of Dragon Age was this pivot from a singleplayer game into a multiplayer live service. I believe that a large part of that pivot was done entirely as rationalization, as a reason to make it make sense that we were taking everyone away from Dragon Age. There’s no reason to have all of these people on the project because they are going back to the drawing board, because we are making a live service game now, right? So we can start over again. I wish that had never happened, I wish that pivot had never occurred. But that’s what happened. EA said, make this a live service. We said, we don’t know how to do that, we should basically start the project over. And thus, Joplin became Morrison, and myself as well as other very senior members of the team, moved on to Anthem. And we enter into a second, much longer leadership discontinuity on Dragon Age. Project runs until Anthem ships without its EP, without its senior development director. This ends up causing massive amounts of changes to the project, to the team structure, to the culture. In this time, Dragon Age is pursuing a goal that ultimately it doesn’t want to be pursuing. But it does its best, and in doing its best, it changes the nature of the project in fundamental ways. So as we come to the end of 2017, we are in a state where almost everyone is on Anthem, but Dragon Age, now Dragon Age Morrison, is running without most of its core leadership. And in the process of this change, EA and BioWare have dramatically damaged their relationship with myself, but also with a lot of other more senior members of BioWare, because they’ve said things are going to happen, that didn’t happen, they’ve made assurances that did not come true. As we come out of 2017, BioWare is a different thing. It is focused on making a live service in Anthem, it has lost one of its studios in Montreal being taken away, and now it moves into the future in this new state."

"I talked a fairly long time ago about how EA buys studios and then consumes them and they start to lose their culture into the overall EA culture. To me it feels like 2017 is when EA finished digesting BioWare, which they had bought nine years earlier in 2008. You may be looking to this and saying, I don’t know if I buy your story, I don’t know if I believe that this twelve months is as impactful as you are making it out to be, it sounds more like these things are things that affected you personally. And I think there is truth to that, I think that a lot of these things are things that hurt me, are things that damaged my trust with the organization. I guess the argument I would make against that is simply that, given my position within the organization, damaging the trust, damaging the relationship between the second-most senior person at a studio and that studio is going to have consequences. ATTENTION, HERE IS AN ESSAY ABOUT CHARLIE DALTON

Charlie loved Neil. They were friends for a very long time, probably since childhood.

Maybe for many of you Charlie is a vain character, a typical "bad boy" that everyone likes because he is handsome and disobedient, but hey, it's just a mask! I guess we all sometimes pretend to be someone we are not, to make our lives easier, right? Meeks hides behind science, Neil and Knox are overly honest in their feelings, Todd hides from the world because he thinks it's easier that way, and Cameron tries to please both poets and teachers, which unfortunately doesn't work out well.

Charlie proves many times that he is loyal and empathetic, here are a few scenes that confirm it, for example:

1. After the "phone call from god" stunt, he is beaten and intimidated by Nolan, who tries to make him give up his partners. He says nothing and thus saves his colleagues from problems.

2. Charlie is the one who helps Neil convince the other poets to go along with the idea of meetings, because he can see how much Neil cares about it. He doesn't seem particularly passionate about poetry himself

3. He repeatedly supports Knox when he becomes slightly obsessed with Chris, and pulls the other poets away when Chris comes to Welton so Knox can talk to her calmly

4. Much is made of the fact that Neil is the one who gets most involved in Mr. Keating's lessons, but Charlie also has great respect for this teacher:

–> in a lesson where he tears pages out of a textbook, he chews on a page before throwing it in the trash, he is the first to dare to tear it out

–> he is the first to answer Keating's questions several times, even if they are not serious answers; you can see his bond with the teacher

–> in soccer class he shouts his lines without hesitation

–> in the outdoor class he is the only one who seems to understand what Keating REALLY means (when he tells everyone to walk around the courtyard at their own pace, Charlie stands up and says that he is exercising his right not to walk, which proves that he understands what conformity is and what the teacher is trying to convey)

5. he is the first (and only) one to defend Neil when Mr. Perry tells him to go to his car after the premiere of A Midsummer Night's Dream. If it weren't for Keating's intervention, I think it could have even come to blows

6. Charlie takes on the burden of breaking the news of Neil's death to Todd, even though it's clear how much it has affected him personally: tears are visible on his cheeks. YES, CONFIDENT CHARLIE CRIES AS THE ONLY POET (Todd and Knox start crying later) BECAUSE HE'S JUST LOST A FRIEND.

7. Charlie is the first to run outside after Todd, even though it's winter, snowing, and his pajama collar is visible under his clothes. He knows Todd might need some support

8. Charlie asks the poets to leave Todd alone and let him run. He understands his pain and knows that Todd can't keep it to himself and needs to shout it out

9. Ultimately, Charlie, who is sometimes too loyal, hits Cameron for three reasons:

a) he defends Keating, which Cameron never understood - he wanted to defend the poets, but didn't know how much the teacher meant to them

b) he's probably furious that he didn't defend Neil, and his fury finds an outlet in Cameron, whom he never liked

c) he always thinks first, acts later (the scene with the phone)

Charlie can be seen as a flirt and a bully (he doesn't hide the fact that he doesn't like Cameron) but all in all he means well. Like each of them, so does Cameron. Their problem is that they are very different from each other and Charlie's open, charismatic, sometimes conceited personality can push people away from him, or on the contrary, attract them.

Some people like Nuwanda because he's handsome and charming. I love this character because he's an extremely loyal and intelligent guy who hides behind the facade of a charmer and joker.

I think it's another one if those cases that lefty people always stumble across and are always stunned by anew is that just because a person is non-conservative in one area doesn't mean that they are aware or buy into all areas of leftism.

There's a large umbrella of "vaguely leftist" things and in practice the people that are aware and equally involved in all parts is quite small.

Fandom is often used to navigate and negotiate these topics, so I think average Tumblr fandom is probably more aware than what casuals are. In practice I think very few leftist topics penetrate the culture beyond the headlines and people are just very unlikely to be fully informed and signed up unless it affects them concretely.

The typical fandom manifestation are pro gay fans who are very unaware of racism stuff.

Real life examples are things like the atheism bros who started out anti church and anti conservatism because they think creationism is stupid but then turned on the left because they think "woke stuff" is just a "feelings" thing and not based on facts. Or like white educated well off gays who most naturally think they should get to get married and don't think they are going to hell but who are overall pretty okay with capitalism or gentrification. Or you know minorities or pro union types who are anti gay. People who are pro gay but anti trans.

A very typical creator level example is shows that are pro left or pro feminism but seem to have never heard of "Bury your gays/tragic lesbians". (Wasn't that just a topic in Andor and Wheel of Time)

Similarly, I'm pretty sure Amanda is very educated on bury your gays or lesbian censorship, but it seems pretty obvious that let's say War On Drugs/copaganda was just not something they ever had any deep thought or awareness of.

And leftists keep forgetting how niche some of their beliefs are.

Imo very few people are deep in leftist discourse if it doesn't affect them. Many people get only surface level impressions (love is love, gay marriage good, Trump bad, Bush stupid, racism bad, something about bath rooms), and often just move on if they don't really get it. Copaganda imo is a very high level concept that isn't very wide spread/understood by people, particularly because cop shows are so wide spread and popular. Most normies don't reflect on it, so yes, it's not that surprising that the creators aren't fluent in it (and that doesn't even cover that not all Arcane creators are American raised, so they might not have experienced all US social discourse and instead might have experienced their own relevant topics that US fans would never have on their radar, from the French colonial wars to Brexit).

(another topic is imo people who project Israel/Palestine issues into Arcane. Yeah it makes sense that it is done, since is a very current/in the news/in the public debate issue right now, but at the same time imo it's very clear it wasn't an as present issue when Arcane was being written so it just wouldn't be unless it was something people have some long lasting connection too (as was the case for The Last of Us author))

IMO it's very clear on every level (and they have both spelled this out and it's very clear in their work) that these writers value the personal over the political. They care about things like: "Jinx realizes that needs to let Vi go" or "Vi needs to embrace love" or "Jayce needs to understand Viktor better" or "Mel must wrestle with taking her mother's place". And there's nothing wrong with writing stories about personal or interpersonal catharsis.

Just because there are big topics like "how do we fight fascism" or "how to stop the climate crisis" or "what do we do about capitalism" or "what do we do about evil people with lots of power" or "what do we do about evil people who are really popular with the electorate" doesn't mean that there can't be meaningful told about things like "how do I get over a breakup" or "how do I deal with a cancer diagnosis" or "how do I navigate being an older sibling".

The problem with Arcane's writers is that they brushed past a lot of serious and yet extremely conrete topics like police brutality or calling a state of emergency for crime reasons. And IMO they did it just as a backdrop setting or for drama. In some cases they have said as much, like Amanda saying they had Vi's parents be killed by enforcers because it would make the angst between Cait and Vi better. That's because there isn't a lot of follow up. Because that's not the story. It's just the setting. The story is things like "will these sisters find each other" or "what happens to Jayce and Viktor's parntership" or "will Mel take her mother's place and/or retain her own values" or "will Ekko come to see his hatred and past the facade of Jinx's violence" or "can Jinx survive all the horrible things that happened in her life without going fully mad".

And I do think that people are rightfully annoyed that such big topics are poked at and then used as cheap setdressing. (for me personally: that isn't rare. I used to watch a lot of superhero shows and those are usually dripping with half assed metphors for all kinds of big ideas)

If Arcane had actually meant to make a point about abuse of power and "you were meant to see that as negative" then IMO it should have ended with Caitlyn saying she won't enforcer anymore. Ie Caitlyn and Vi burying their badges and vowing to find a new way to serve the community.

Or it could have been less about Caitlyn as an individual, but more about: how fucked up are the systems in Piltover that a like 24 year old in the middle of a grief breakdown can just put herself in charge (of the initial raid on the undercity). Rather than Piltover bad/Zaun good it could have been about how Piltover's system is pretty shit even for most Pilties. Could have been Cait asking somebody who represents civilian power like Mel to take over and find the balance between protecting against the abuse of power and still needing power to ward off Noxus.

In the end, I think for these writers it didn't matter enough, because to them it's just a pretty setting. So they had no intention, not motivation to majorly change it. They are unthinkingly in love with the aesthetics of the setting and the enforcers. They don't have enough awe for it to want to make sure they can never be viewed negatively. They will do some change too it, like Piltover nearly getting run over by Ambessa + Viktor, but ultimately they want it to stick around.

They just like taking things and characters and making them go really dark, for them to be taken to the extreme, but ultimately they want them to be kinda fine. With Jinx being the prime example. She did a lot of dark and violent stuff, she got put through the ringer, but they ultimately do like the idea of her running around and traveling the world and getting better.

A good chunk of people for good reason think that context matters and that Jinx's "bad stuff" isn't fully the same as "Cait's bad stuff" because of how much more power Cait has, but imo the writers really mostly lack this reference and they really just view it as different version of "I wanna take this character to the extreme", whether it's Jinx kiling people or Cait declaring martial law or Viktor going "gonna puppetify the world". They just like the concept of characters going to the edge and coming back they don't really engage all that realistically with what the "bad stuff" actually is or would mean. That's why we end up with a "people just gotta embrace and forgive each other more" ending.

Because the concrete "bad" doesn't matter, only the emotional catharsis.

A reminder to the arcane critical people that in order for a show to be copaganda, you have to come out of it thinking "wow, the cops are the good guys, they're the heroes"

At no point does the show even remotely give you that feeling about the enforcers.

You root for Caitlyn not because she's an enforcer, but because she tries to make up for the sins that enforcers have committed, including herself.

The final battle, you don't think of the enforcers as saving the city. You see Zaunites fleeing the city, rejecting the plea for help, and think "well, Piltover had that coming". You think of the battle as a natural consequence of allying with Ambessa and Noxus. That final battle is Caitlyn's and Jayce's consequence, for their mistakes made thus far.

You don't root for the enforcers. You root for the people who are trying to be better than what the enforcers have been.

Modern Madatobi

Here me out:

Senju Butsuma is his normal abusive self, even in this modern world. I'm thinking Kawarama still dies somehow, maybe an accident or illness or something. I think it'd be interesting if Butsuma or their mom had something to do with it but it could go either way. The problems actually start when Itama somehow gets hurt and while Hashi and Tobi are used to it, Tobirama decides that enough is enough.

In my mind, Hashirama is maybe 14 or so, freshman age and that's where he meets Madara. Tobirama isn't at their school yet, probably where Itama is, but Tobi's all introverted and... angry. Hashi loves his brother, obviously, but life is hard.

Point to this is that Tobirama somehow gets the government involved, maybe gets his dad in jail or something. Except it doesn't quite go as he had planned. If the mom is still around, I think it would be an interesting/terrible take if she actually blamed Tobi for, like all of it. Picture Butsuma going to jail and the mom either pretending or outright telling people that she couldn't raise three boys alone and gives up parental rights to Tobi or something? While Hashi is older, his anger is different and he grew up with Tobi either telling him to chill out or get their father's attention away and probably on him. Itama and Kawarama were more sheltered, mostly due to Tobirama but in this, Tobi had to protect all of his brothers even more so in canon verse.

Hashirama is understandably pissed. Since he's in high school at this point, I envision him being super active in clubs or extracurricular's if only to stay out of the house. And as far as he knows, Tobi and Itama are safe because Tobirama is always smart and strong. His younger brother was the one who always protected Kawa and Itama. Half the time, Hashirama felt like Tobirama didn't need him, you know? Not when his younger brother was the one who managed to null their father's anger, always more patient with Butsuma's crap then he was. Growing up, Hashi often felt like his brothers would do better without him to set their father off to begin with.

Except. Except!

Hashirama is over at the Uchiha's or something and Itama is the one who comes banging on the door. The Uchiha's are amazing in this in a lot of ways but mostly, the fact that they have money (nobility, right???), space, structure and more love for their family than Hashi knew was possible. It's not that he's embarrassed that Madara's first impression of one of his brothers is with a bloody nose, questionable bruises and thrice over hand-me-downs. It's not. He's not ashamed he just wishes-

Well, he wishes for a lot of things. But before anything else, Hashirama wishes that the game he was playing with Madara (and prolly Izuna too, let's be honest), wasn't interrupted with the news that Tobirama was getting arrested (or something). That their mom was somehow kicking Tobi out.

Hopefully you're starting to get the picture.

A few notable things I see happening in this is that Hashirama really shapes up but it takes a long time. The guilt get's him bad and I picture, like, teenaged Madara being both hurt and angry that his friend never outright told him that his parents were abusive. He would have helped. I picture the Uchiha's practically took Hashi and Itama in whatever way they could. I could see them being lawyers or some sort of civil servant in this. I think that Hashirama would likely go to medical school (especially if Kawa died of some sort of illness, unless he goes the route of emergency med because of Butsuma). I have no idea what Itama would do. Probably social work or some sort of councilor.

They never stop looking for Tobirama but they don't find him for years.

But!

All of that's in some sort of prelude that leads up to Tobirama enlisting in the military or something and when his time is served (I can't remember what it's called), he tentatively decides to go home. Or maybe he doesn't even go! There's so many ways it could go but let's just say that Hashi and Mads go to some school in a bigger (better) city and Izuna and Itama follow along because of course they would. I really vibe with Tobirama having gone to school for civil engineering while he was in the military and they somehow cross paths.

I have no idea how long this would be or if it would focus on romance and family or maybe evolve into one of those murder/serial type killer type of story.

STARBOUND ASRICKUS THEORY (REVISED EDITION)

so we got SUCH backstory crumbs today so I'm rushing to revise my previous theory of Taruxians being extinct/near exinction because I don't think its true anymore

here's what we know:

Asri always speaks of his parents/brother in the past tense

He was one of the first people to leave his planet because of his species's size and their planets small area

they weren't always a bounty hunter, this original expedition was more of an exploration type beat, trying to learn more about the galaxy

something happened where the mission ended up going really bad

this something included both a past romantic relationship of Asri's and something that made them get seperated from or leave the rest of their ships crew.

Romeo and Asrickus met because Asri was at a port after everything had gone wrong with their mission and Romeo offered them a job as a bounty hunter

the rebreather was made by Asri's brother, Draxton

not all of this information is super relevant for theorizing, but I thought I'd include it anyways

so first of all, their original ship likely a. crashed, b. had some sort of malfunction or accident happen on it, or c. Asri was kicked off for some reason. Could it be another constant of the bound sherbs of thinking they killed their brother whether or not that's actually true? maybe there was some sort of accident that Asri was involved in where Draxton died and their ex blamed them for it and made them leave the ship? Even with everything he was telling Aura about himself today, he very much avoided talking about his brother or this mysterious ex. Trying to redirect or give short answers.

another reason I think Draxton might be dead/presumed dead ties back to a point in my earlier post about how Asri called his re-breather one of a kind. Is it one of a kind because the person who made them is now dead? idk, but I would like to find out.

another reason I think Asri may have been kicked out/not welcomed back to their home planet is his avoidance at building any sort of home. Both bounty hunters have said they don't want to build a house because they want to focus all their materials on getting off planet, and I'm sure that's part of it, but the way they talk about it makes me think there might be more to it. Like having any sort of home isn't an option for either of them, and while I don't know what that could imply for Romeo, I have a slightly better Idea for Asri's

He's afraid he'll mess up and get pushed out again. afraid people will realize whatever he did to get himself in this whole situation and be angry at him and force him out of his home again. If my theory stands and he did really kill Draxton, then he probably doesn't think he'll be welcomed back to his home anytime soon, maybe his parents aren't even dead, but he says he had a good relationship with them because he doesn't know where he stands now. He hasn't seen them since and doesn't know what they think of him now.

I live for the fact that none of the jocks are actually like, nice to Isaac at all. Like none of them. Lewis is deffo the best of them (he literally just never talks to him), then Cody is just like, really passive with him. Justin was an asshole to him in the chapter where Isaac and Ed went to look for Charlie, AND JAMES. WHEN I CATCH YOU JAMES. Like they're still assholes to him, they're just not outright bullying him cause Ed is his (kinda) friend. And it's insanely funny to me, cause that means that James is absolutely blowing the "being nice to nerds" thing out of proportion. Like none of these bitches are NICE TO ISAAC. Y'ALL STILL ASSHOLES. Honestly, this chapter did great portraying that hey guys.... these guys are like, actual jerks, like "shoving nerds into lockers and bullying people for no real reason" jerks. They're assholes, always have been, I feel like because James in the "greater evil" of them and we see them being bros we kinda forget how they are to people they deem "freaks".

I heard this theory before here, and I'm lowkey starting to believe it, but is James the boy that bullied Isaac when his powers manifested?? It can be argued against it that Ed wasn't sure if it was true or nah, but also you could say that James's ego is too big to admit to Isaac hospitalizing him. Then again, it has a lot of holes, but it could explain James's and Isaac's personal beef.

Monika and Ben are gonna kill a Twitter user.

James and Ed are gonna have a dramatic friendship breakup, and James will spiral and actually try to kill Isaac with the help of Felix. (I want the drama.)

Your biggest fear you thought with your braces was simply the fact that people might not like you with them on like they would make your appearance worse and not better. You were already a pretty nice looking girl. You were definitely Chris' type so it was inevitable he was going to ask you out. So here you two are have been dating for 5 months and you two also spent every waking minute together really making out mostly.

You not sure how it happened all you knew was this was new fear you unlocked within this moment.
