**Level 987: The Chromatic Labyrinth**
**Description:** Level 987, also known as the Chromatic Labyrinth, is an anomalous level of the Backrooms consisting of colorful corridors that defy the usual monochromatic office spaces found in other levels. This level's unique feature is its constantly shifting colors and sounds, which create an immersive and disorienting experience for wanderers.
**Environment:** The Chromatic Labyrinth comprises a seemingly endless series of interconnected corridors, rooms, and hallways. The walls, floors, and ceilings are smooth and featureless, with no visible doors, windows, or signs of wear. The most striking aspect of this level is its vibrant color palette, as every surface constantly transitions between different hues and shades, giving the impression of traversing a living painting.
**Entrances and Exits:**
* Entrances:
* Entering a specific door within Level 11 that has a glowing, multicolored handle may lead to the Chromatic Labyrinth.
* Occasionally, noclipping through certain walls in Level 6.2 can lead to this level.
* Exits:
* Locating a door with a pulsating color pattern and entering it may lead back to Level 11.
* Finding a specific section of the labyrinth where the colors and sounds converge into a static state may transport wanderers to Level 906.
**Other Information:**
* Wanderers who manage to maintain their sanity and navigate through the Chromatic Labyrinth often report feelings of heightened creativity and inspiration upon returning to other levels or the Frontrooms.
* It is recommended to wear sunglasses or other eyewear to mitigate the disorienting effects of the constantly shifting colors.
**Colonies and Outposts:**
* Due to the disorienting nature of this level, no known colonies or outposts have been established within the Chromatic Labyrinth.
**Entities:**
* The Chromatic Labyrinth is inhabited by strange, translucent beings that constantly shift colors and forms, making it difficult for wanderers to discern their intentions or behavior patterns. Caution is advised when encountering these enigmatic entities.

Headcannon that the backrooms actually originated from Kurt Cobain and William S. Burroughs 1993 ‘The “Preist” They Called Him’ single cover and not a 2019 4chan thread because that sounds way cooler and the cover genuinely looks like the backrooms and the song sounds kinda like the backrooms
