Liberator C Mk. I, 1941.
flickr
Liberator C Mk. I, 1941. by Etienne du Plessis Via Flickr: This is the fifth production aircraft for the RAF, AM 262, which, like the other five in the the first batch, lacked the self-sealing fuel tanks deemed essential for combat. It therefore became a transport, first with 1425 flight on the transatlantic ferry routes and then with the B.O.A.C. Taken in the States prior to delivery in early 1941.
