It may not be instant awareness, but Ratchet still has all of his senses, and caretakers specifically seem blessed with uncanny peripheral view (or, as humans might say, 'eyes in the back of their head') that lacked scientific explanation.

   THE START OF THE WEEK was always when Swerve's was at it's quietest. Most 'bots were busy suffering through the weekend's hangover, or they were busy at their various stations. This, coupled with how late it was? It was practically a ghost town.

   A ghost town, a few vague silhouettes strewn about in the low-light, and Nautica.

   The water-frame slumps back in her seat as she stares defeated at the tall stack of datapads she still had to work through. Part orders, funding requests, monthly evaluations, and even some form types that she hadn't even dreamed of yet. She'd hoped that the peace and quiet would make getting work done easier, but, well... It doesn't change the fact that she's got a lot on her plate.

   She vents a heavy sigh and leans her head back against the booth, dragging her palm over her faceplate. Being a Director was all fun and games until it wasn't anymore. It felt like her brain module was going to melt out her audials, and Solus knows that the drink she'd been nursing all night would only save her sanity for so long. She could use a friend, a distraction, or both.

And vice versa. Charlie couldn't have been quicker to lean forward and offer more than just her hand. Both arms are snaked immediately around Bumblebee's pauldrons, so much so that she's practically crawled up onto his chassis just to get close. A little nuzzle of her forehead to his cheek plate and Charlie's right at home, smiles and all.

Raf's eyes slowly stirred open when he could feel a familiar servo gently poking at him, trying to wake him up. "I'm up, Bee...I'm awake." He yawned slightly, his voice coming out a bit groggy due to him waking up. "What is it, Bee?" He inquired, rubbing his eyes to try to wipe away the exhaustion.

MUSIC, for drift or deadlock or both!

I've got a handful of songs in mind for Drift and Deadlock if you'll humor me for a moment.

First for Drift, I give you Murder and Crime by Sufjan Stevens.

I associate your Drift with trying to have some sort of soft external, but beneath it all he's all jagged edges, and I think this song in particular by Sufjan Stevens captures that.

A song for Deadlock, I'd have to say, would be Nuclear by Mike Oldfield.

It's this... aftermath of a gunslinger epic that I think captures Deadlock strongly. Especially this:
