Hey Gang, this week I had a wonderful flurry of auditions, thanks to the teams at Jedah Agency, OneWorld Model and Talent, Actors LA Agency, and MZA. I work with different agents for each facet of my career and in different regions.

At 10 am I was auditioning in person for a major footwear brand in a suit and tie and by 11 am I was all the way across town auditioning in person again for a famous streaming service as a farmer. I am pretty comfortable as a farmer since I used to clean stalls on a horse farm growing up in Virginia.

Auditions are my job and I am happy to be auditioning.

After giving some advice recently to a young dancer doubting themselves I thought someone else might need to hear this 💋 When I lived in LA 2007-2010 I was signed to an agency auditioning for Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Grammys, movies, TV shows, etc. My lifelong insecurity about my lack of flexibility and technique consumed me... I started dancing when i was 9 which i always felt was too late to ever catch up and I didn’t understand all the other girls could do the splits coz they’d been dancing since 3 or they trained every day of the week. This dark cloud over me all my dancing life became a roadblock and my downfall...not the actual lack of flexibility, the fear of it! Instead of seeing that I was doing well in auditions for street choreographers Rich & Tone (I made it to the final 20 out of 200+ in their JLo world tour audition and through a few cuts at their Madonna world tour audition) I got overwhelmed and lost trying to do/be everything, obsessed over my lack and let it defeat me rather than honing in on the styles, classes, auditions, circles of people where I was thriving.
