ok now that i’ve seen them all… this is SUCH a good line-up of films for best animated feature?? like.. probably the best in years?? memoir of a snail, the wild robot, and flow are EASILY some of my favourite films of the entire year, vengeance most fowl was so much fun, and despite it being the weakest of the bunch for me, inside out 2 was very solid sequel as well. i am REALLY happy with this 🙏

just finished a q&a session with Adam Elliot about Memoir of a Snail. anyway three things I learnt about the development
It started out as ‘Memoir of a Ladybird’ before he decided it was too twee. He also considered pigs and ducks before deciding on snails
The Ken subplot was actually a suggestion by one of the government funders/producers. Who told Adam Elliot to Google what a feeder is
the tears (and any other liquid) in the film are all lube
