Some stories can only be told honestly.
            Some require courage to tell.

HELLOOOOOOO MY DARLING FELLOW ADORERS OF SPOOKY AUDIOFICTION
Hello hi it's me I'm back on my bullshit! Remember a while back I talked a lot about how fantastic the podcast Shadows at the Door is? They're still amazing, they're in the middle of producing season 3, and they are working on a WHOLE-ASS MUSICAL.
As in, multiple songs, a fantastic cast, amazingly talented people writing and producing it, it's going to be phenomenal.
Fan of shows like Re: Dracula? David Ault (Re Drac's very own Friend Arthur!) voices the protagonist, beloved fan favourite Doctor Geoffrey Troughton.
Professor Elemental (Fighting Trousers, anyone?) is writing several songs and voicing the production's deeply creepy antagonist.
Did you like The Silt Verses or The Secret of St Kilda? Shadows has got Erika Sanderson and Michelle Kelly on the cast, as well as a slew of other phenomenally talented voice actors.
Please check out the production's kickstarter page for more details about this beastie, and if you're interested and can spare a few bucks to help get it off the ground, please consider doing so! Shadows is well-made queer media created by hugely talented queer people and will more than meet expectations if they can meet their funding goals.
THANK YOU I LOVE YOU MUAH

It's a great thrill and privilege this episode to welcome multi-talented actor, writer and music artist, Andrew Mackintosh, who carved his own special niche in British television history as Detective Sergeant Alistair Greig, a key character in over 300 episodes of one of the most successful and influential television dramas of all time, The Bill.

But as we discover, there's so much more to his varied career, encompassing acting, music and writing. We learn about Andrew's current project, the Apple Top 40 fiction podcast, Letter From Helvetica, talk about his early life and how his professional journey in music and acting began, and he shares with us some of his creative influences.
We explore his continuing musical collaboration with Joe Dooley, and get to grips with some general acting and career matters, including authenticity in casting, accents, received pronunciation and the art of speech, and the mixed blessing of being in a long-running series. We also discuss opportunities for mature actors and, inspired by an unstoppable generation of rock and roll performers, if perceptions of age are evolving in a positive way within the arts and beyond.
Our companion webpage for this episode has some additional career details, images, links and recommendations for further reading, viewing and listening:

Andrew with fellow luminary of The Bill, Natalie Roles (DS Debbie McAllister). Both star in the hit fiction podcast created and written by Andrew, Letter From Helvetica, which can be streamed free from wherever you get your podcasts.
Very special thanks to Andrew, and to the producer of The Bill Podcast and Letter From Helvetica, Oliver Crocker, for making this episode possible.

Earworm - a ghostly audio drama musical
The Kickstarter for EARWORM is live!
A ghostly audio drama musical from Shadows at the Door featuring rap, hip hop, jazz and musical theatre, with the voice talents of David Ault, Professor Elemental, Ilana Charnelle, Erika Sanderson, Michelle Kelly, and Mark Nixon, with music by Tom Caruana.
Geoffrey Troughton can’t sleep. Music bleeds through the walls at all hours interrupting his paranormal studies. But something has crawled its way from the other side, a sinister earworm eager to sink its hook into the right host. As Geoffrey’s weary yet curious mind is hoisted into the darkness, will he surface from the shadows? Or will he be cursed to play second fiddle within his own soul? …And who will be next?
