Shortlisted for the PRECIOUS Outstanding Woman in Sport, #DianeModahl is one of Britain’s most successful 800m runners. Aged just 20, her reputation as one of Britain’s top 800m runners was confirmed when she won the 1986 AAAs Championships, before going on to compete for Great Britain in the 1986 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh, winning a silver medal. She went on to win a Gold medal for Great Britain at the 1987 UK Championship, winning the prestigious English Schools title whilst breaking the 800m Championship record which stood for 19 years, the longest ever recorded record at these Championships.
