My last night in my legendary apartment! WHERE IT ALL BEGAN!!!
#Dec 19. 2019#Xmas#Enjoying my final stay in my legendary “Terrors of the Night” apartment. I've lived around since then but I miss this place...#It was perfect for me. Facing east so I would have natural light all day but no sunset glare in the evenings...#3rd and top floor so no one above me for smoke and no neighboring balcony for privacy...#You could walk out in the middle of the afternoon butt ass naked because I had lattice covering the balcony railing. It was dope...#I haven't felt truly at home since then even though I had technically been evicted for noise...#Didn't even get to throw a farewell party because I had gotten my notice earlier this day and was given 2 days to get my shit out...#I have realized apartments are just not for me anyway hahahah...#The memories here. One time I locked myself out on the balcony in the middle of the night and had to scale down 3 floors...#So then I learned how to pick locks and tried it again on purpose in order to free myself just for fun...#The time I crawled out of my (massive master bedroom) window and shimmied across the roof ledge back to my balcony as a dare...#Would have been a 3 story fall...#At this point I had already filmed “Sleepwalker” and “Training Night” but it was only this day I finally made my YouTube channel “Jason Vi”#Truth is this was a time that I was at a fork in the road and it was a bit depressing leaving this place. It had gotten me off the street..#That was then and this is now...#Subscribe. You are not ready...

Once More With Feeling (Better than Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark)
[All images are owned by 20th Century Fox Disney and Mutant Enemy Productions. Please don't sue, bite, or stake me]
(Thanks to Samantha Graff for all video clips)
Joss Whedon wanted to do a musical episode for Buffy since its inception, but it wasn’t until Season 6 that this would become reality.
None of the actors had much experience with singing or dancing (though Michelle Trachtenberg, who played Dawn, had ballet training and Anthony Stewart Head, who played Giles, was in a band), and the episode’s musical/dance scenes (19 hours of singing and 17 hours of dancing!) were shot at the same time as four other episodes, making it one of the more grueling episodes to film.
The actors really didn’t want to do it. Sarah Michelle Gellar protested until Whedon suggested asking Jewel to dub in her songs (there was no way Gellar wanted to have someone else sing what would be a key moment in the season!) Trachtenberg and Alyson Hannigan wanted their singing to be minimized (Whedon agreed, giving Dawn a ballet number…and Willow has a bit in one song stating “I think this line’s mostly filler”)
I will note that, due to Tumblr’s restrictions, I can only include so many videos of the songs. Any I cannot include I will provide links for the curious.
Enough background, on to the show…which starts with (as all but the earliest episodes do) with…
PREVIOUSLY ON…
At the end of Season 5, Buffy sacrificed herself to save Dawn (wait, does that mean there are now THREE Slayers running around?) Willow used a spell to bring her back, thinking she was trapped in Hell (SPOILER: she went the other way) Since her return, she’s been pretty much sleepwalking through her days.
Tara and Willow had a fight about Willow’s irresponsible use of her magic, so Willow cast a forget spell on Tara (doesn’t that prove her point?), with a sprig of a plant known as Lethe’s bramble as a focus.
Xander and Anya have gotten engaged, but Xander’s still having issues getting past the fact that Anya used to be a demon.
Dawn, mostly in an attempt for attention, has begun stealing from various shops around Sunnydale, including the Magic Box (the shop the Scooby Gang uses as a base of operations).
Finally, after getting a chip in his head by a government black-ops program to curb his more violent tendencies (with pain-inducing shocks), Spike has more or less aligned himself with the Scooby Gang and fallen in love with Buffy.
Now, on with the show! If you would like to watch the episode, it’s available on Hulu or behind your favorite paywall.
(As I mentioned, there are too many numbers for me to provide clips for, so I’m going to focus mainly on what I feel are the important ones. If you feel I left out one that was vital to the plot, let me know and we can debate!)
youtube
(Yes, that was the Lethe’s bramble Tara found under her pillow in the opening scene)
Now, Buffy doesn’t normally sing her way through fights with vampires and demons, so the following morning she asks if anyone else felt like they were on Broadway the previous night.
I’ll take that as a yes.
The group starts brainstorming when Giles suddenly breaks into song.
Xander thinks it could be witches (which earns a glare from Willow and Tara), while Anya sings a power verse about it being bunnies (that Anya, always good for a chuckle. I mean, it couldn’t be bunnies, right?…right?!?!) Meanwhile, Buffy doesn’t care what’s causing it because they’ll defeat it like they always do, and the rest of the troupe gang joins in the chorus in agreement…
The gang wonders how widespread this is, so Buffy looks outside.
Definitely widespread.
Then Dawn arrives wanting to tell everyone what happened at school, but they already know. So she sees a pendant lying on the counter and pockets it.
Then Willow and Tara make an excuse to leave (they say “research”, but I’m fairly sure it’s more about “exploration”) Sure enough, once they leave, they break into song and start a TV-13+ sex scene that is quickly cut away from.
Later that evening, we see the dark side it the musical-ness of Sunnydale (c’mon, you knew it was coming) as a man starts dancing uncontrollably until he starts smoking, then combusts!
Cue commercial break!
(In case you didn’t guess, this is the Demon Of The Week. He is never named in the episode, but IMDb calls him “Sweet”, played by 3-time Tony Award winner Hinton Battle)
We come back to commercial the next morning with Xander and Anya in bed.
youtube
So, much like a traditional musical, the victims participants occasionally sing out secrets to the audience. However, unlike a traditional musical…
...Xander and Anya are fully aware of what the other was singing when the song ends.
As they lament about their number and Giles tells them about the man who burst into flames last night, we get an aside of a woman trying to sing her way out of a parking ticket (I’ve heard of worse schemes) The three continue to discuss as we get a dance number involving street sweepers.
The conversation switches to Buffy and her disinterested approach to her Calling. That night, Buffy looks to Spike for any insight.
youtube
Meanwhile at Buffy’s, Dawn tells Tara she’s happy Tara and Willow made up after their fight about Willow's magic use a few days ago…
…which Tara doesn’t remember. With an “oh shit” expression, Tara heads over to the Magic Box, leaving Dawn alone.
After Tara leaves, Dawn puts on the pendant she took earlier and starts singing…
…but is interrupted as demonic Pinocchios kidnap her!
Cut to commercial.
We come back to Dawn waking up in the Bronze (a nightclub that for some reason teens are also allowed in) where she dances a bit with the Pinocchio demons before meeting her host…
…Sweet, who does a bit of a tap dance before singing to Dawn that he’s planning on taking her back to hell as his Queen. Then Dawn sings to him about Buffy…
…so he sends the Pinocchios to invite the Slayer to the wedding.
We then cut to the back of the Magic Box, where Buffy is training. Giles tries to talk Buffy into having a more active role in raising/disciplining Dawn (Dawn has been acting out a lot since Buffy came back from the dead for a second time)
This sparks a song from Giles about being treated like a crutch as Buffy does a training montage.
Meanwhile, Tara finds a book in the Magic Box that tells her about the Lethe’s bramble.
To say she’s hurt is a major understatement. She’s so hurt that she has a duet with Giles.
Then Spike bursts in with a Pinocchio demon and tells it to sing for them. As the music swells, it simply speaks.
Buffy starts to brainstorm about their attack plan, but…
…yeah, Dawn’s life in the balance ain’t the time to cut the cord, Giles!
Anyway, this sparks the Big Inspirational Number!
youtube
Buffy makes a proposal to Sweet: If, after the Boss Fight, they’re both still standing, then she’ll take Dawn’s place as his Queen. Now for the Climactic Power Ballad!
youtube
So now it’s out there for everyone to know, but there’s still Sweet to deal with.
Sweet prepares to leave with his bride-to-be (Dawn, not Buffy), but Dawn denies summoning him despite wearing the pendant she stole found that contained the summoning spell. But if Dawn didn’t summon Sweet, who did?
…yeah, my money was on either him or Willow. Turns out Xander wanted a musical wedding and didn’t realize what he was invoking.
Turns out Sweet isn’t as enlightened as you’d think and decides he doesn’t want Xander as a bride.
With that Sweet gives a final refrain and vanishes.
Despite Sweet’s exit (stage left), his presence is still felt as the gang sings the closing number.
youtube
Hope you enjoyed this. While not the only bonkers episode (and not even the most bonkers), it is an iconic episode that is fondly remembered by most Buffy fans.

Taken- Masky x Reader
Reader gender: not mentioned Warnings: violence, kidnapping A/n: first creepypasta story! First of all, I fricking love Masky he's the best. This will probably also have a sequel. I know this won't be as popular as my other writings but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless! Word count: 1460 You were hopelessly confused. A few days ago you woke up in a hotel room with your sister, Jessica, with no memory of the past seven months or so. The hotel was eerily empty, with only staff and one other guy named Jay with a conjoined room to yours. He kind of weirded you out, always having a camera on him and filming anything he could. Not to mention, he tried to interrogate you and Jessica every opportunity he got. You may have been confused, but, Jessica was reaching her breaking point. "That's it. I'm confronting Jay about all this," she declared one day as she stood up. "All what?" You asked, glancing at her over the top of your book. "Why can't we remember anything? Why do we have a conjoined room with Jay? Why the hell is always filming everything and lying to us about why he is?" She listed, her voice progressively getting louder. "Okay, okay. Go for it," you shrugged, putting down your book and leaning forward to watch her conversation.
It took her a couple knocks on the door before he answered, with his camera of course. "What are you doing?" She asked him immediately. "I was just seeing who's at the door," he answered, somewhat confused. "With a camera?" She continued to interrogate. "Well I had it in my hand already I was just-" "Look Jay, I know you're lying. First, you tell me some stupid thing about a hotel documentary, then you tell me your house is being renovated, but then you tell me your job was being relocated. What is going on?" She yelled. "It's- it's complicated." He sighed. "You're not acting like a normal person," you chimed in. "Well, what's it matter to you two? You're just some strangers." "I think something's going on," she sighed, "I know something's going on." "Like what?" He scoffed. "We don't know how we got here. You're the only person I've seen other than the staff and my sister, and we have adjoining rooms. I don't even know you, you said it yourself we're strangers," Jessica exclaimed. "Haven't you had any kind of memory loss at all?" You asked him. "I think I'm going crazy," Jessica sighed, "I'm losing huge chunks of time. I'm having pounding headaches and coughing fits and I can't sleep, but when I do sleep, I think I'm sleepwalking. And I keep having these dreams where I'm a little kid and... something's watching me." "Stop," Jay ordered. "What?" She asked, her voice desperate. "Look, Jessica, Y/n, I'll tell you everything but, just, give me a few minutes to get it all straight in my head. I'll be in there soon. You guys should probably start packing some things, cause I'm pretty sure we're gonna have to leave tonight," he confessed. She nodded and you began to stand and pack your stuff as Jessica shut the door. "Leave your door open," Jay warned. She turned away from the half open door and began packing the duffel bag you had woken up with. There wasn't much to pack, just a few clothes and some pills. "Waiting for Jay, then?" You sighed, flopping onto your bed. "Guess so," she shrugged. A knock came at your door while you were waiting. "Who's that? Staff?" You wondered as Jessica went to answer it. She pulled the door open a inch, hoping to see who it was. You jumped up, seeing a large metal object hit her over her head and knock her out. A man with a brown hoodie kicked her out of the way and entered the room fully. He wore a ski mask with red eyes and a frown painted on. He dragged a steel pipe behind him and quickly made his way towards you. As you backed away, you saw another figure enter the room and scoop up your sister and throw her over his shoulder. He wore a brown jacket and had a white mask with feminine features painted on in black. You stood paralyzed in shock, too afraid to yell for Jay or move away from the hooded man as he raced toward you and hit you with the pipe, knocking you out cold. ___ When you woke up, you were in the forest, your back resting against rough tree bark that dug into your back. Judging by the sky, it was pretty late at night and it took a while for your eyes to adjust. As you started to remember what happened, you looked around frantically for Jessica. A scream ripped through your throat when all you saw was the masked man from before sitting only a few feet away from you, his eyes trained on your every move. You scrambled to your feet, hoping to run as far as your legs would take you. However, he grabbed your wrist the second you began to rise, his grip like steel as he pulled you back down. He didn't speak, only held a finger to his painted lips and release your wrist. Embarrassment flooded through you as he continued to stare at you silently, causing you to quickly avert your eyes. You glanced over him, taking the time to notice things you hadn't before. You admired his chocolate brown eyes peeking out from the holes in his mask. His dark brown hair sat slightly tousled, and flared up around the band of the mask. His brown jacket was zipped up halfway, a black shirt showing underneath. Your eyes drifted down to his lap and you gasped and scooted away, watching him twist a switchblade in his hands. Seeing your fear, he followed your gaze to the knife in his hands. He flicked the blade into the hilt and stashed it in his pocket, hoping to calm you down. You released the breath you had been holding, but kept your distance from him for obvious reasons. "Where's my sister?" You asked finally, your voice shaking. He shrugged, staying quiet. "What do you want with us?" Another shrug. "What happened to Jay?" Shrug. "Who are you?" You interrogated, hoping to get a response of any kind. "Masky," he responded quietly. You smiled, having finally gotten to hear his voice. It didn't really match his scary look and made him sound almost normal. "Why're you smiling?" He asked. "Your voice. It almost makes you sound like you're not a psychotic kidnapper," you told him bluntly. He scoffed, "you don't know me." "I know plenty." He let the conversation drop after that, finally opting to stare at his hands rather than you. You sighed and scanned the surrounding forest, searching for... anything. Shockingly, nothing really seemed helpful for your current situation. "What are we even waiting for?" You groaned, becoming quickly bored, despite having been literally kidnapped. "Hoodie," He told you. "Jesus, what is with the names around here?" You laughed. He didn't respond to you, causing you to sigh and move onto a different question. "Why do we have to wait for Hoodie?" "I'm unstable. I can't take you to the safe house because my human side might find out where it is. He's more stable; it's safer for him to take you," he informed you, enlightening you on a lot of things. "You're not human?" You breathed, experiencing the fear you should have been feeling this whole time. He shrugged, "to a certain degree." It scared you how casually he talked about it. You felt yourself slowly shifting away from where he sat as his eyes wandered the surrounding trees. Feeling a surge of adrenaline rush through you, you flew to your feet and began sprinting through the forest. Leaves crunches under your feet and branches snagged at your clothes as you ran. You could hear running behind you, the footsteps behind you, but getting closer after every passing second. Knowing he would catch you any moment, you swerved to the left, hoping to find somewhere to hide or loose him in the trees. Spotting a thick line of trees, you quickly skirted behind it and hid. You held your breath and stood as still as was possible. You heard his footsteps slow down considerably once he neared where you had hid. The thin slivers of moonlight that reached him reflected off his white mask. His head darted around quickly, searching for you. Your chest tightened as you saw him scan the line of trees you stood behind. He glanced through the trees for what seemed like hours. Without warning, his arm shot through the leaves and his hand wrapped around your throat. He yanked you into the clearing as you struggled for breath. "And it was going so well," he sighed before ramming your head into a tree, knocking you out cold.

The Winter Soldier is Here (“Protective Anger”-Part Eleven) (Bucky Barnes x reader/Winter Soldier x reader)
Description: You’re working at the local farmers market when you meet Bucky and catch his eye, not only because you’re the only one who sells plums, but because you treat him like a normal person. As a friendship begins to bloom, it quickly grows into a relationship and you learn that life with Bucky isn’t as easy it originally seemed. I SUCK AT DESCRIPTIONS!
Word Count: 1392
Warning: None.
Author’s Note: Not every aspect matches with the Marvel films or comics. I chose to include and ignore some of the choices Marvel made for various reasons. Just know going in that not everything lines up with the storyline Marvel created and that is done on purpose.
Sorry guys, but this is going to be a short filler/background chapter. Good news is, the next chapter is already complete and will be posted very soon!
READER POV
-----------------
"So your kids can't make it for Christmas this year? I hate that," I said as Roger and I walked to my vehicle.
"(Y/n), how much do you know about this Bucky Barnes?" Roger's tone and pointed question caught me off guard. It was the quietest and simultaneously serious I had ever heard him. His voice had an edge I had never experienced.
"Mr. Roger, what do you mean?"
"(Y/n), I knew Bucky Barnes. I knew my brother, well. I want to tell you about him and how I knew Bucky as well. Jimmy met Barnes in training and they became friends quickly. Barnes didn't have any family, only a civilian friend, Steve, so he came home with Jimmy most of the times they were allowed to visit family. Bucky became a part of our family quickly. He was charming and made others laugh. He and Jimmy were a lot alike in that way. Before Jimmy left for war, he was all about charming the ladies, being the center of attention, and just living a happy life. Even during his training, he was the same big brother I knew and loved. He always made time for us, his siblings, it was just he, our younger sister, and me. He took interest in us and always showed us how much he cared about us. He always did his best to protect us in every way possible, which is why I saw him as the perfect person to become a soldier. I knew he would be a great protector of our great nation, much like he was a great protector of his family. He was always happy, he never let things get him down, even when things weren't so great for our family, but he always kept spirits lifted with his jovial mood."
Listening to Roger, it was evident how much he looked up to and idolized his brother, his serious tone had changed to more of a reminiscent one. "I don't think I've ever heard you talk about your brother this much, Mr. Roger. That's lovely. I'd love to hear about him more sometime."
"Good, because you're about to." The slick and sharp tone was back. "After my brother came back from war, he was not the same person I just described. He lost every friend he had made, including Bucky Barnes. They had all died or been captured and no one knew their whereabouts. He, Jimmy, was frail, paranoid, and hermit-like after he returned. When he was awake, and we were actually able to get him to leave his room, he would sit and stare, mind far from where he was. There were many nights that I ran to his room as I heard thrashing, crashing, and yelling. As you can imagine, he returned from war with PTSD. The entire first week back, he wrecked the house every night as sleepwalking was mixed with the nightmares he fought. In his nightmares, he was still at war, and our house displayed this." He paused and took a deep breath, and I could tell things were getting difficult for him so I jutted in.
"Mr. Roger, you don't have to do this. I'm not sure why you're telling me this. You don't have to, though. I don't want you to be upset."
"(Y/n), is, or is not, this Bucky you're going to see, the same James 'Bucky' Buchanan Barnes who fought alongside my brother, many others, and his best friend Steve Rogers, well known as Captain America, who was kidnapped by HYDRA and made the Winter Soldier? You're not going to lie to me, are you?"
His point blank question made my skin crawl. I could feel my hands and feet go cold, but my face turned warm. He knew I wouldn't be able to lie to him. He knew my heart could not bear it, not after everything he and Mrs. Betty had done for me, after growing so fond of them.
"Mr. Roger...I, uhh...Bucky...he isn't the same person as the Winter Soldier..."
"So he is one in the same. You know this for a fact?" His voice was stressed.
".....yes, sir." The concern in his eyes grew, so I added, "I trust Bucky, he wouldn't hurt me."
"You trust him-Bucky-not to hurt you?"
"Yes, sir." I had gotten used to having to repeat myself sometimes in Mr. Roger's presence.
"You trust Bucky. What about the Winter Soldier?"
Apparently, repetition wasn't what was needed. He was making a different point. "...Mr. Roger....it's like I said, Bucky and the Winter Soldier are two separate people."
"You have good reason not to trust the Winter Soldier. The Bucky I used to know is trustworthy...but that was before he went to war and Hydra got a hold of him."
"But Mr. Roger, he doesn't do that anymore, he's just Buc-"
"Let me finish telling you about Jimmy." He paused before continuing. "About eight months after his return and our constant battling and dealing with his symptoms, one night he beat our mother. He was inside of his dream and didn't realize who he was beating in reality. He beat her badly, (y/n), badly enough that she remained hospitalized for a month afterward. Now, if we hadn't already felt like things were bad for Jimmy before that incident, afterward it was 10 times worse. He closed in on himself completely, there was no shimmer of Jimmy's former self. He was a danger to everyone around him, and to himself, and he knew it. One day when we came back from church, we found him. I don't want to be too graphic, but he had killed himself. He left a letter explaining why he had done it. He felt he couldn't control his mind or his actions anymore. He couldn't live with what he had done to our mother. He didn't feel like he could chance something like that happening again. Now, I don't want an actual answer, because to be completely transparent, I'm afraid I already know the answer and I don't like it. Why did Barnes have to leave so quickly to go back to New York? Was it because he was Bucky, or was it because the Winter Soldier made an appearance? Even if you trust Bucky, and for good reason, he has been through a lot, an astronomical amount that neither of us will truly and completely understand. The Winter Soldier is still here," he said pointing at his head, referencing Bucky's mind. "No matter how much he fights against it, it's likely there's always a risk that Bucky will lose control and someone will get hurt, either those around him, or even himself...like Jimmy. It's obvious how much you care about him, and if you stick around him, there's a good chance you'll get hurt at some point, in some way....I don't want to see that happen, (y/n)."
"I understand where you're coming from and what you're saying, Mr. Roger, I really do...I just...he's my friend now...besides Steve, I think I'm just about the only friend he has. Doesn't he deserve that, need that, after all of this time, after all of his suffering? Doesn't he Mr. Roger?" My eyes had widened and tears had begun to form, thinking of the idea of leaving Bucky alone.
Mr. Roger pulled me in for a hug before he responded: "I know I'm not any relation, dear, but I care for you like my own daughter, both Betty and I do, and I don't want to see you get hurt. That's all. I watched my brother change into a stranger and it took a long time for all of my family to get past it. It hurt, badly, and I wouldn't have gotten through it without Betty's support and love. I don't want to see you experience that or similar pain."
I pulled out of the hug and looked at him in the eyes, all seriousness in my body transitioning into my own eyes. "Mr. Roger...I may be completely wrong...it's all still too new to know...but what if what Bucky needs is a Betty? If it is, why shouldn't I be his Betty?"
