It’s funny how I always assumed that the most “relatable” OC of mine to me was Frida because I basically gave her my personality but now I realize the closest character to me is Emilio.
#Personal#I don’t even want to specify which things we have in common#just the fact I can relate to the least likable character of mine is already quite enough lol#It’s like…#He basically had no personality when I created him#At the beginning I wanted to make him 100% evil because I was stupid#He had no family he was a horrible mean teacher and indeed got his job only because he had Señor Murillo’s patronage#Even when I tried to humanize him by giving him a family I didn’t think he would turn out to be so similar to me#It happened in that latest chapter#absolutely naturally when I wrote his backstory in those few paragraphs#and I didn’t even realize it#Dang#I mean I never disliked him he’s my character I created him and I have absolutely no issue with it it’s just#Wow#I really have no idea how my mind works when I write#But really I love Emilio and now it even makes him very special to me somehow#And apparently we even have the same MBTI type#which also happened accidentally alsjkdkf#(in case I’m actually an INTJ because I really doubt it at times)

Elias Rushorik: The Character Bible
Name: Elias Rushorik [Ee-lee-us Ruh-shore-rik] (referred to by battle [first] name)
Legion + Role: Night Lord, Contekar Terminator
Age: ~100
Hair Color: Black with greying along his sideburns, hairline, and nape; warm undertone
Eye color: Black with corners of white, like a dog LEOPARD SEAL
Skin Color: Ashy pale white, cool undertones
Height: 7’11 (unarmored), 9’ (armored)
Build Type: Bulging muscle, like a bodybuilder. He looks greasy.
Primary Weapons: Escaton Power Claw and Volkite Cavitator
Long Description: A wall of an astartes, covered in scars and sinewy muscle that bulges like a dehydrated draft horse. He has a prominent facial scar: a tear in his lip exposing sharp teeth and part of his maxilla. His black hair is cropped short, usually, but it's been getting feathery as of recent. Some rumors say it's the influence of his personal serf that's been seen hanging off of his giant arm, others say he's just too busy to care. No one dare comment on an astartes strong enough and more than willing to grab another's skull and crush it in his fist. He's not a talker, preferring swift and brutal action to resolve his problems like a ‘proper’ Night Lord.
Role: Neutral Evil protagonist and owner to the serf insert.
Why they have that role, based on the characters core beliefs:
He just wanted someone to do the shit he doesn’t want to do (clean his room and armor), so he steals the first serf that does a good enough job (he ate the rest)
He did not expect the consequences that would come along with taking care of someone, like actually caring about them. He, unfortunately, cannot recognize the care for what it is.
Beliefs / Quirks / Flaws:
Cannibalistic, mostly because he isn’t fed enough. The Night Lords are not generous with their feeding schedule and amounts, sometimes not even feeding their astartes, so dude won’t turn down a good meal. He also fell in love with the feeling of flesh between his teeth.
He’ll eat almost anything though and food is the way to his heart. Well, it won’t make him inherently like you, but he’ll tolerate you if you feed him. You might even be able to bribe him with enough.
Everything is a transaction to him. “What do I get out of this?” He always wants to exit those transactions with the upper hand compared to the other party or parties involved, but it still makes him vulnerable to being bribed.
He likes having his ego stroked, but he isn’t stupid enough to fall for ego manipulation from his brothers.
His serf, however,,,,, yeah, he doesn’t even recognize he’s being played
He isn’t lazy, just spoiled. He can and will put effort into attaining the things he wants.
If he gets bored enough, he’ll bully people, but it’s not usually lethal (unless he’s angry or hungry).
Ex: Shoving his serf into the shower and blasting it on cold
Never shows his soft underbelly or any weaknesses openly, but if others do it to him, he will take advantage of it or clock that information away for later. He is used to others seeing any cracks in his armor as something to be exploited, so he naturally does the same.
His treatment of the serf is the embodiment of doing something good for a bad reason; the billionaire building an orphanage because he gets to name it after himself still built an orphanage. Elias’s brand of charity is the exact same. His serf is healthy and looks the best, which makes him look better. Other Night Lords want to steal her, which gives him both an ego boost and an excuse to take out his more violent tendencies while getting food and looking strong. It’s a win-win for him to put the effort into her.
He just didn’t expect to get actually attached, and because he doesn’t recognize that attachment as what it is, it’s incredibly unhealthy. She’s a prized possession, not a person.
Elias is never not going to see the serf as his property– it isn’t who he is to be empathetic. He does begin to care, in a warped sense. He chalks feelings like caring for his serf up to the same way he cares about his presentation. It’s for the betterment of himself.
Greedy. He does not share. This includes with the other Night Lords and with the serf. His brothers cannot have his serf, and his serf cannot just have his bed (stop asking)
When he does ‘share’ or provide, it's always for his own gain. The gifts he gives to the serf are not given out of selflessness, but because he wants her to:
Recognize how capable he is (“Look at everything I can offer because of my status.”)
Realize that she's nothing without him (“You would return to feasting on vermin without me.”)
Perform at her best (“Why is there a speck of dust on my power pack? I gave you a coloring book last week, you should be efficient.”)
Disgusted by the actions of his battle brothers whilst being a massive hypocrite. He dislikes them indulging in torture that doesn’t have a reason behind it, finding the practice wasteful of energy that can be put into other avenues. Total boomer about this too. “Back in my day, we had a reason for flaying people alive”. He still uses the common Night Lord terror tactics when in battle and is genuinely no better than his brothers then. He’s just old and elitist.
Motivations:
Obsessed with his self image and reputation to a fault in the, “Everyone just needs to remember that I am not to be fucked with,” way. Can and will prove that he is not to be fucked with to anybody that isn’t like, First Captain Sevatar or the Night Haunter.
He keeps the serf happy and healthy because he views her as an extension of himself: she’s his possession, and therefore she needs to be as perfect as he is. Well fed, well groomed, and overall healthy. He protects her the way he protects all of his things. It also makes him feel good that his brothers want his things (the serf), and gives him a sense of power that they cannot have them.
Kills because he has to maintain his power / image. He doesn’t see murder as a ‘necessary evil’; he literally just doesn’t care that people have to die. Everyone is a pawn in the game. He is going to win it.
Who they were raised to be vs who they are/are becoming:
One of the rich Nostraman brats when Night Haunter came to reign as the Dark King. Elias wasn’t the inherently bloodthirsty type, just greedy and spoiled.
Joined the Night Lords at 12 in 896.M30 because he was sick of being forced to live like the common folk. Not the best decision he’s made, but he won’t admit to his mistakes.
Worked his way into being a Contekar because it gave him back some of his luxuries. He’s one of the first waves of Night Lords taken from Nostramo before it started being just any random criminal or street rat being let in, and he is super elitist about it.
How they feel about themselves and how it affects their behavior:
He has a moderate lisp from the hole in his lip, which he is self-conscious about to the point that he doesn’t speak unless it's necessary.
Self-important, which makes his possessions also important to him. If someone messes with his possessions, they’re messing with him and his image, and he won’t stand for that. Some of the rags of flesh on his armor are from former brothers for this reason.
Fun Facts:
He may hate cleaning up after himself, but he does like tinkering with designs for his armor. He processes the hides and does basic repairs on his own (because, “no one would do them better.”)
Foodie. No, he will not verbally admit to this. Bring him the steak anyway.
Unlike most astartes, he did not change his name after his conversion.
Elias is prideful of a family he doesn't even really remember (after everything he went through to become a space marine) and who now are long dead. He has shaped his entire identity over being the best of what Nostramo could offer. If he lets go of his pride, he has nothing. No identity, no reason. Nothing.
Due to the above, when Nostramo was destroyed in 984.M30, he defected from the Night Lords. His face has not been seen since.
I wasn't going to drop this until after the series was finished, but I have been so busy with college recently that I don't know when that will be. I hope you enjoyed.

Hello helloooo. I see you’ve opened up your v3 requests 👀 can we get some Kiibo, Kokichi and/or Nagito with an s/o (she or they pronouns) who’s really intimidating and scary at first but a total softie and super flustered when they’re complimented or flirted with?
Kokichi, Kiibo, and Nagito x Intimidating!Soft!Reader
My first V3 request! I haven't totally gotten through everyone's free time events and I'm not that great at writing Kokichi or Kiibo yet so please bare with me. Love you guys and thanks again for 100 followers!
Enjoy!
Commission me on Ko-Fi! Link in pinned post!
Kokichi Ouma
♡ Was never all that intimidated by you honestly. Or maybe he was and he was just lying about it. Who knows. Point is, he never let it show. He is the supreme leader of evil, after all. Who would scare him?
♡ That doesn’t mean he wouldn’t pretend to be afraid though. Kokichi would always cry and act like you were bullying him when you told him to stop with his stupid antics.
♡ When he did this you would try to get him to stop crying, making you seem soft and sensitive to him. Then he would probably start teasing you even more.
♡ “So you weren’t really as intimidating as you pretended. I hate liars!”
♡ “I wasn’t lying, you annoying little-”
♡ “WAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH YOU’RE CALLING ME ANNOYING WHEN I WAS JUST TRYING TO BE YOUR FRIEND!! YOU’RE SO MEEEEAN!!!” He wailed.
♡ “Huh? Hey, wait!” You shouted at him.
♡ I guess your ‘friendship’ - if you could even call it that - started from there. It was mostly just Kokichi teasing you and you trying not to beat the shit out of him.
♡ When you finally got together, the teasing definitely didn’t stop. It even kind of intensified when he saw how flustered you got when he flirted with you.
♡ He’ll try to come up with the cringiest, gushiest things he can make you feel embarrassed.
♡ He’ll make everyone think that it’s because he likes embarrassing you but deep down, you’re pretty sure that it’s just because he thinks your blushing face is the cutest thing ever! Who knows though. You can never get a straight answer from him (¬、¬)
K1-B0
♡ You two are in the same boat.
♡ To some he might be intimidating, being a robot, but on the inside, he’s a total softie so he gets it!
♡ Even if you were never scared of him, he was always kind of scared of you. He hadn’t been used to such an intimidating human, and somehow the fact that you were around his age made you even scarier to him.
♡ He wasn’t really used to the feeling so it made you intriguing to him.
♡ Hehehe I got the thought that he wouldn’t know how to respond to the feeling and since he found it negative he would think you’re somehow being robophobic to him.
♡ But like I was saying, he was intrigued by you! Kiibo would definitely be the one to confess his feelings because of that, finally letting him see your true nature as a major softie.
♡ Kiibo wants to try and do all the human couple things. It always really embarrassing to you when he asks to do things like that though.
♡ “Y/N… I um…” Kiibo would begin, trying to stop his stutters.
♡ “What is it, babe?” You told him, in your regular scary tone.
♡ “Would you want to try cuddling… Like… With me?” He asked. Your head shot up, red flashing to your cheeks.
♡ “Um well.. I- Uh…!” You respond incoherently, trying to figure out what to say.
♡ The two of you tried cuddling, which as you might imagine, wasn’t the most comfortable thing considering your partner’s metal body, but that wasn’t as bad as the butterflies in your stomach. Nothing had ever made you as nervous as that. Kiibo didn’t seem to mind or notice though so everything was good. :D
♡ He always tries his best to do all of the things a human couple would so he loves holding your hand, kissing you, and basically any other form of physical affection as long as you don’t mind.
♡ And his mind doesn’t even seem to process how nervous you obviously are so it’s even better!! We all love you, Kiibo buddy!!
Nagito Komaeda
♡ Sees your intimidating demeanor as confident and due to that, he finds you inspiring!
♡ Nagito isn’t the type to show how he’s truly feeling. He doesn’t seem to think that he deserves to show others how he really feels so he never makes it too clear that he’s spooked by you.
♡ You’d start showing him your true colors when he compliments you.
♡ “Wow, Y/N! I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who matches you in intensity. People like you make trash like me all the more boring.”
♡ “I- Um… Well… You shouldn’t Talk about yourself like that.” You told him, trying to pull yourself together.
♡ You’d probably have to be the one to tell him your feelings because he wouldn’t really feel he deserves to tell you how he feels. Poor baby, we love you.
♡ When you two get together though, he worships you, making you super blushy all the time!!
♡ His favorite time to fluster you is when you’re scolding him for the stupid junk that he pulls.
♡ “I can’t believe you did that, you jackass! Do you want everyone here to die? Do you want us all to kill eachother?!” You screamed in his face after a particularly tedious class trial. Nagito just stared at you, with a blank expression, red in the face.
♡ “You’re very pretty, my hope.” He told you, catching you off guard and turning you into a blubbering mess.
♡ Nagito is frustrating but… We love him anyways. ┐(´ー`)┌

Btw have you seen Disney’s wish and if so what’s your review on it? And how would you Rewrite the story? To me it had interesting contact about your Wishes being a part of yourselves and without it you feel hollow but too bad it was written poorly. The “Villain” Magnifico kind of had the point of not all of the wishes are supposed to be granted Example “My Wish is to get a Rocket Launcher to aim that Talking Goat and the rest of This Freaking Kingdom!” With that said next is Asha! There is no reason for her to be “Adorkable or “Quirky” we already have Princesses and Characters like that! let them have their own Personality Already!! One problem with Asha is she should have been Magnifico’s Apprentice for a long time in the start but instead of selecting her to Be His “Apprentice” throughout the Movie 🤦🏻♀️ and have you seen the Concept Arts?👀 Spoilers! King and Queen are supposed to be Evil Together! and The “Star” is supposed to be like a person or it? That comes from the stars? it would’ve been cool to named it “Stardust” instead of “star” the concept art looks so Amazing than the one we have now and Also No Comedy in this movie it’s to Boring and so as the Songs 😴 we’ve been ROBBED! (The Animation is Nice but I wouldn’t compare it to Spiderverse or TMNT or Puss in boots or The Bad Guys🤔) Anyways what do you think? I want to know your opinion, see you!🙋🏻♀️
I might write a review if I have time, but omygod Disney's Wish is SOOOOooooo bad. SO bad. The characters are flat, its nothing but forced in references to other Disney movies, the plot is boring, the songs have all this bravado and make them not catchy- the setting is supposed to be in the Mediterranean but all the animals are from the USA implying they are all invasive species brought over from the settlers of other countries- the comic relief characters aren't funny- the goat himself should be deleted he is so annoying- The star is like, ultimate magic. He made animals sentient, he can make things fly- he can change the size of things like a giant chicken- but he can't open a fcking roof? He can't grant people's wishes? He sort of implies he left that power to Asha, but she sucks at magic. She's the worst person to be handling it. The entire marketing campaign for this movie was about how the villain is "classic Disney". He's NOT???? He's just a narcissistic traumatized(?) control freak King. But then he touches a dark book of magic and now suddenly he's 100% evil and there's no going back for him. Even his wife implies that the book changed him, that the dark magic corrupted her husband beyond repair. The dark magic influenced his personality to make him darker, but he wasn't a legitimate true villain. Classic Disney villains have always been full of themselves. They always manipulated and abused people. They aren't afraid to hurt and kill people. They relish other people's suffering. This King is not like them. They were trying to make him sympathetic from the beginning with actual real reasons to control the kingdom as he does. They do a 180 on his personality. Dude fled from his previous homeland ravaged by war, and has been serving his kingdom for years, he's basically customer service and people can be demanding and needy. Asha herself takes the opportunity to try and weasel in her grandfather's wish through her apprenticeship application and the King is like "Yep. Here we go again."
But the way they show those reasons make his entire operation look stupid. They're like "Look how evil he is for not granting wishes because his judgment is slightly skewed. Look at how evil he is for not returning the wishes because he's------- idk, a control freak? Due to his trauma?" The concept art is definitely better than the final product. I feel like it would have been a decent movie with the original concept. But what annoys me the most is that Disney thinks this is a celebration of 100 years of Disney. It's not! They're only really celebrating the last decade of quirky flat characters, mostly 3D animation, and poor storytelling. The thing that makes me the most angry out of the whole movie? The wishes. The entire concept is nonsense. The bad guy claims that Asha's grandfather's wish is too dangerous to grant. The wish? He's singing to people. fcking WHAT. "I want to be an exclusive tailor." "I want to be a sailor!" "I want to sing to kids and inspire them-" THE PEOPLE OF ROSAS ARE SO STUPID.??????? THEY CAN ACHIEVE THOSE CAREERS ON THEIR OWN. THE KING OF ROSAS. IS A SORCERER.
We have TWO wishes that are actually physically impossible and magical. "I want to talk to birds!" "I want to fly!" ARE YOU TELLING ME. THAT NO ONE WANTS TO BECOME A FIRE-BREATHING DRAGON AT WILL? HAVE TELEKINESIS? BE A STRONG BODYBUILDER WHO CAN LIFT BUILDINGS? READ MINDS? SEE THE FUTURE? OWN A GIANT CHICKEN THAT GIVES GOLDEN EGGS? WISH TO BE A FAIRY TO CHANGE THEIR SIZE AT WILL?
THOSE. ARE ACTUAL DANGEROUS, UNACHIEVABLE WISHES WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU HAVE A WISH OF WANTING A CAREER AS A FARMER WHEN YOU COULD WISH TO HAVE TOTAL CONTROL OVER PLANT LIFE AT WILL? THE PEOPLE OF ROSAS ARE SO DUMB I CANT WITH THIS IM SORRY IM SO MAD AT THIS MOVIE And the wishes themselves like- people don't have the same wish forever. Someone in the crowd even asked, "Can we change our wish?" It's implied maybe they can even have more than one. They also straight up forget their wish when they give it up to the King? This whole thing feels like a weird metaphor for real life in a magical setting. It doesn't make sense to me.
One of my friends said they heard a theory that this entire movie is secretly a jab at Corporate Monopoly Disney, how they won't let anyone else be magical (monopoly), how they only choose 12 wishes a year to grant (Internships), and how the wishes they choose to grant are useless to the kingdom because anything else more creative or inspiring is a threat (regurgitated sequels, uninspired stories, boring formula) and how the ending is about defeating the "villain" (Disney) and moving on to try and achieve your dreams yourself (Form a Union, start your own businesses, take back animated media) and viewing the movie through THAT lens is actually incredibly metaphorically genius and made the movie less terrible for me, intentional or not But yeah anyway, Wish is bad. I keep telling people. Disney is so dumb. THIS is what people want for a Disney celebration: CROSSOVER. DISNEY CINEMATIC UNIVERSE. Disney will probably do it badly but I'm telling you, people have been wanting this for YEARS.
They did it with House of Mouse, they can do it again.

I watched Wish two days ago. It was painfully mediocre, which is too bad, it had such great potential. Whatever they were cooking up in the writers room and art department looked great, until all those great ideas got scrapped.
Anyway, I wanted to talk about the forbidden magic aspect of the story. You use it just one time and apparantly you're gone forever? That's stupid. It's not like Magnifico was a terrible person for a good part of the movie anyway, the dude just felt used, and honestly seemed to have burnout, he wasn't perfect, but he wasn't evil either. So that fact he used forbidden magic and that's when he truly becomes bad takes away his agency as a villain. Which means that it's not okay to lock him up for forever when he's clearly not 100% himself (the movie was really: "sorry no cure"). Dude was easily redeemable, they just didn't want to put the effort in.
I'm getting a little off topic. My point is, there are better ways to handle to forbidden magic aspect of the movie. What I would have preferred (if we were still going forbidden magic route) is if he had been using the magic since before the start of the movie. We see in flash backs that it started in an act of desperation to protect his people, and you know what it worked. He didn't like that he had gone this low, but it worked, and his people were safe, so in the future when other threats came, he used it again and again. Slowly he became addicted to the forbidden magic, and the power it granted him (this was over the course of several years, where in the beginning he used the magic only for good and selfless acts, but later he kept finding excuses to use it, and it became more and more for his own gain). His wife knows about his use, and she even gave him the okay the first time he used it because of the rough circumstances, but she sees him deterioting and worries if she made the wrong choice (I'm sorry, I love the evil couple too, but she's good in this version). By the time in the movie Magnifico would use forbidden magic when he got stressed or overwhelmed and he needed to calm down (like smoking). But as the movie goes along the events push him to be more desperate, and he is fully turned over by the magic, it consumes him.
In the beginning, he did try to resist the magic, like I said, it's like an addiction, but it became progressively harder as he used it more. He didn't fully seem like himself when he used the magic, but he'd try to cover it up.
I prefer this version for several reasons: a) it's a hell lot more compelling than one and done, b) it gives the character more agency and we get a better understanding of his path towards darkness, c) it makes for an interesting tragedy as it originally started as a selfless act for his people.
#when I say more agency#I don't mean that addiction is a choice#i mean that before he became addicted he decided to use it multiple times#and there's a lot more gray space with the magic#rather than just becoming 100% evil after using it once#wish 2023#wish disney#wish#disney

We don't have enough Aonung x Rotxo, and im not happy about it.
First of all: what is their ship name?
second: why are there not so many fics about them?
third: i want prompts about them.
the only one i came up with is; Rotxo feeling jealous/left out/ not consider now that the sully kids are here, since Aonung spent all his time (tormenting) them.
one night after maybe five months of the sully being there, is one of Aonung and Rotxo date night (they are officially courting) but Aonung can't stop talking about the sully kids.
"Are you fucking serious?!" asks Rotxo as he suddenly stands up from the soft sand. "What?" asks Aonung with a surprised (and scared) tone, he watch worry as his best friend and boyfriend gets up. "i been planning this night for weeks, because you are always busy or with training or with the family of toruk maktao, we barely spent time together, and once we do you are talking about others!" Rotxo is angry, Aonung saw him this angry only once, when they were little and an older kid pushed Tsireya on the ground. Not hard or on purpose, but still Tsireya who at the time was only a toddler immediately started crying. And as Aonung comforted his little sister, he noticed Rotxo yelling at the older kid and making him run away with tears. Rotxo could be as evil as a sky demon if someone hurt the persons he cares about. it was at that moment that Aonung knew, that was his future mate, not discussing it further. As Rotxo makes his way to walk off, Aonung manages to hold his wrist. his eyes full of regret, he watched as the not-braided curly boy snapped his head towards him. "i swear i stop, I'm sorry oeyä tìyawn, please forgive me, tell me everything you want i won't talk, only admire you" Aonung said and he relaxed when he saw Rotxo lips becoming a smirk. as he settled down again next to him (now closer, he could if wanted rest his head on the other chest) he murmured "Corny skxawng" then Rotxo narrated to the other boy, all the things he done that week, and all the things he planned to do. after they happily eat together and went to race with their ilu, then said goodbye with a kiss before returning to their own family marui.
this is stupid, but is okay because is like 3 am and I'm stupid myself.
You are not stupid, this is adorable! I 100% agree, they were the first ship I thought of honestly. I was like oh this kid is just hanging around all the time and is basically part of the family? Well, one of my favorite tropes ever is the family basically adopting their kids significant other. Rotxo's just over all the time living with Tonowari's family just because he'd going to mate with Ao'nung and everyone just like, knows and now expects him to be around? Iconic.
Like, Ronal's baby she hasn't had yet? That child would just grow up 24/7 with Rotxo around, they've never experienced life without him there. That's adorable. My mom is eight years older than her youngest brother, and going through her family pictures eventually it's just her and her siblings and also my dad there in every graduation picture, holiday picture, and so on. It's so funny and adorable to me. That's Rotxo with Ao'nung.
I think the best prompt for them is that they aren't crazy into PDA, they just vibe mostly in the most secure and confident relationship ever, to the point that it takes the Sully's an absurd amount of time to notice they are even courting. Spider is rescued and Neteyam is recovering and Ao'nung is being a little bit of a dick to Spider, and Rotxo goes "Sorry about my future mate, he can be a dick." And Lo'ak and Kiri are like WHAT.
I can also see a story in the personality differences. Ao'nung... not to be rude, but he's kind of a dick there at the beginning. Rotxo is our sweet baby angel so I can see Ao'nung spending too much time with his little asshole friends and them drifting apart as a result. It's another interesting dynamic.
#we love ao'nung and rotxo thoughts#ao'nung#rotxo#ao'nung x rotxo#tsireya#tonowari#ronal#avatar#avatar the way of water#james cameron avatar (cameron)#melissa on avatar#melissa's asks

I MAY be reading too much into it, and people just don’t care about all this because he is a serial killer of enourmous proportions, but I think there is not-so-obvious problem with claiming that Light is a psychopath.
So, Light Is obviously an evil person, in colloquial sense, but saying that his awfulness is an “obvious” psychopath trait implies that a “normal” person has zero capabilities to do it to begin with and should not worry about themselves. Of course I’m not saying that “most people in his case will do the same” I actually think the minority will, but still his actions are basically a result of the same mentality: he believed that there are “bad” people and “good”, so he couldn’t believe himself to have done something bad and went out of way to make it worth it
so, what I’m trying to say, making statements “psychopath = does bad things” and “does bad things = psychopath” interchangeable badly affects the capability of properly analyzing yourself, because you can always say “well, i’m not a psychopath, so I will never be a bad person!”. And when “other person” is not yourself, claiming their behavior on a personality disorder is much more easier, which prevents as to understand others as well. Not to immediately forgive for awful things, but to actually understand the roots of them, instead of claiming that this is a “personality disorder thing” cuz “normal person would never”
You’re not reading too far into it at all, I don’t think. Well said. People are calling Light a psychopath not because they truly understand psychological disorders or what defines them, but because they want a fancy term to describe his actions that implicates something even more egregious, serious and terrible than “asshole” or “evil” and separate themselves from that. Even Light feels the need to separate himself from himself, hilariously and sadly enough:
But him simply being an asshole is far, far worse than him being a psychopath. Light KNOWS better. His actions go against his innate AND engrained sense of right and wrong, and his conscience pricks him hard to the point of nightmares, rapid weight loss, nervous laughter and cold sweats. But he STILL does what’s wrong anyway and STILL justifies it being right.
Light is 100% deliberate and purposeful in how he rationalizes himself into doing what is wrong and he does so ONLY because he has something significant to gain: doing what is wrong feels WAY less painful and world-shattering than having to process the mess he’s found himself in.
It’s easier and more glamorous, as well. Be god of the new world and make it better like you’ve always fantasized about, or feel crushed by the guilt of accidentally causing somebody’s death? People think of that as insane, but his thought response is so human and natural, especially as a kid who has no real experience in heavy situations at all let alone like this. He’s immensely privileged and sheltered. It’s just the actual circumstances he’s in that are absolutely ridiculous.
It IS naturally human to do what feels comfortable and not necessarily what is right under immense stress and fear. When you’re scared of punishment or judgement, or how you might even feel about yourself, you WILL choose to do bad and stupid things to avoid it. I’ve done so many stupid things to avoid uncomfortable confrontation from my mistakes, ESPECIALLY as a child.
Light has been thrown into a situation that literally nobody would handle with grace, poise, perfect wisdom and calmness. People will claim that they have moral superiority over Light because as opposed to justifying their actions, they’d instead spiral into immense guilt and self deprecation.
But it’s totally reasonable and logical for Light to fear that considering his entire sense of self is built on the fact that he’s the ideal in his culture and in society as a whole. He doesn’t know immense failure and shame because he works very hard to achieve his best and succeeds at exceptional levels. Having all that torn away is very foreign and painful without experience and practice.
So while he’s still dead wrong and knows he’s wrong, like I said in my other post I made, it’s also REALLY asking a lot of him to deal with this whole situation in a dignified and rational way all by himself considering all the pieces within context.
Most wouldn’t do what Light Yagami does not because they’re not psychopaths, but simply because they are not Light Yagami. It has nothing to do with any condition or mental disorders. It’s just that people can’t and maybe are too afraid/reluctant to empathize with Light because it takes some deeper examination they are not accustomed to.

An Unstoppable Force Pt.1 (Danny Johnson x GN!reader) |Short fic|
TW: knifeplay, violence, non-con, suicidal thoughts, minors DNI, minors do not read.
No fluff, nothing cute here. No smut. Just dark.
A/N: This is 100% evil, but it's just how I envision things playing out between Danny and a survivor. Don't ever do this kind of thing. I didn't proofread this because I'm tired.
You panicked as you felt his eyes on you, he always sent chills down your spine. You never had to see him to know, you always just knew. You were his obsession as of late, always the subject of his sick torture and mind games. His depraved mind made you nauseous just imagining what he could come up with.
You immediately sprinted from the generator you were working on, making considerable distance through Lery's Memorial. You couldn't see him, but you knew he had to be close behind. You looked behind you as you ran towards a pallet, searching for a hooded figure. You slammed into something solid, immediately falling to the ground.
"Oh, fuck," you wheezed, gazing up at the dark figure looming over you. He tilted his head as if he was confused by how unaware of your surroundings you were.
"Going somewhere?" He teased, quickly straddling your torso and grabbing your wrists in one hand.
You struggled underneath him, but he felt like an infinitely heavy object. Inhumanly so. You whimpered and began to cry, unable to contain your fear and frustration any longer. You were finally beginning to realize that he'd never stop pursuing you, which filled you with dread. And he'd do it over and over again for eternity.
"Aw, c'mon, don't cry. Don't you want to get your picture taken?" He hushed you, his knife lightly pressing against your neck as you attempted to stifle your cries.
"You always have such pretty ones. Of course, your photographer also deserves some credit." He chuckled.
"You're a sick fuck." You spat, knowing that no matter what he did to you, you'd just come right back.
"Oooh baby, tell me more." He let out a filthy moan, grinding his hips against you.
"You're a fucking disgusting narcissistic asshole that gets off on having control over his victims to satisfy his stupid ego." You stated, putting your degree in psychology to some use. You wanted to get under his skin and just die already, anything to end this trial.
"Oh, there you are! It's good to see you, Doctor (l/n)." He cooed, gripping your chin firmly between his thumb and index finger as he leaned down.
"You know, I was somewhat a psychologist myself," he confessed. "Always trying to figure out the best headlines. Figure out what would scare the most people, you know?" He laughed.
You didn't engage him, your strategy of insulting him had only egged him on further.
"Aw, don't be like that. Think about all the fun we could have if you'd just cooperate." He whined, pressing his mask into your neck.

ALL ABOARD TO TRUTH TOWN🚂 , WHERE FICTIONAL STORIES ABOUT SHINY BUTTONS, DONUTS, AND ROBOT UPRISINGS ARE MORE FUN THAN CUTTER'S STUPID SLOW CLAPS, HERA ALMOST DYING (she BETTER not), AND DOUG'S JAIL TIME AND ALCOHOLISM THAT I TOTALLY PREDICTED (good for me 🥰) (or my reaction to episodes 38-40 of Wolf359)
Also: Whiskey boy needs to chill, seriously. Are we sure Doug is the one with the problem?
Welcome back dear readers. Thanks again for your patience. Excited to continue with my season 3 reactions!
Tagging the mutuals who got me invested in this, and if you want to be tagged or untagged from these posts, lmk, or you can follow my blog or simply follow the tag "#bods wolf359 reactions". Anyone who has followed me for a while knows my updates are inconsistent, so I apologize in advance for that and for any spelling/grammar mistakes in my posts.

Episode 38: Happy Endings
I'm gonna be doing chores while I listen to these three episodes, so sorry if the notes get a bit brief.
This Hilbert and Doug morality debate is funny because it's literally one actor debating with himself.
I'm sad Hera can't be a part of the group.
"2am"? How is it 2am? You're...you're not on earth. I understand keeping up with a schedule, but it's still a little weird, what time zone are they following?
The way Hilbert talks about Sam... it's like he has this shred of humanity left inside him that he's just gotten used to ignoring.
And Hilbert, I have a clear answer to your little "trolley problem": the decima virus is CUTTER'S property. He put that in your contract, or have you forgotten? Do you seriously think that man will be using it for the good of humanity? Because I don't.
I also feel like the "No one gets a happy ending/ there are no happy endings" think is foreshadowing. But I hope I am wrong.
"This wasn't here last time"
IS THIS THAT WEIRD DOOR???? FINALLY! Bah-ha just shove him in! At least it’s not the airlock which is what I was expecting.
Hm. Do not like the dark. Uh what. Also. Isn’t he supposed to be alone? Totally alone? And shouldn’t it be an emergency?
Dentist chair from hell? Nope. Don’t like it.
Recorded message? Oh gosh not the slow claps…Cutter no doubt. Of course he does a dramatic dark room, and the lights go up on an evil chair...he was one of those kids in school who at recess would find insects and torture them for fun, wasn't he?
Easter egg? Cutter, this is the worst easter themed scavenger hunt I've ever heard of. Where are the chocolate bunnies? The jellybeans? The message of hope, love, and rebirth? But I suppose I should expect nothing else from the man who ordered the killing of three people on Christmas. Makes you wonder what Cutter has against holidays. Did mommy and daddy not give someone enough presents?
“The other crew has... gone away like last time” Cutter you suck. Seriously his villain mode does not have an off switch.
What does Cutter want with his brain? An old friend made this for him?? Is it the dude he killed or is it the Pryce person he wrote the book with? Makes me wonder where his mysterious friend is hiding. In the shadows at Cutter's right hand or six feet underground with a knife in the back? Not sure which is worse. I guess we'll see.
THEY CAN SCAN HIS BRAIN AND GET THAT KIND OF INFO? That...but...I...as someone who knows slightly more than average about how the brain works, Cutter needs to learn how to make better use of his tech. I cannot even BEGIN to tell you how much better his evil plans would go, if he focused on THAT instead of...oh I don't know...investing his money into elaborate dark rooms with evil dentist chairs and slow clap videos?
Also "Hera can't detect these secret rooms" HOW. HOW CAN SHE NOT THAT'S AN AWFUL IDEA: She flies the ship, she has to calculate for its size. It's science fiction, so let me be 100% clear, I'm not dumping on the creators or writers, I'm dumping on Cutter the character. You idiot.
Oh he’s just leaving him in space. Oh...Hilbert will come around in the hopes that he’ll use decima to help people. That's cruel. “Thanks for all the memories” Cutter. DUDE. Too much.
Do not give him your memories. Do not Hilbert.
Haha… hee hee… why is he laughing?
Brilliant? Chance for work to continue? NO. HILBERT YOU DUM-DUM. THEY ARE NOT GOING TO USE IT FOR GOOD. CUTTER WILL NOT USE IT FOR GOOD. BECAUSE HE IS NOT A GOOD MAN. The reason you shouldn't do this has nothing to do with sacrifices for the great good...it's that the greater good IS NOT GUARANTEED AND LIKELY DOESN'T EXIST BASED ON CUTTER'S BEHAVIOR!
Don’t call her Isabel. You are in the wrong here Hilbert. And there is a very clear difference between what she is doing and what you are doing. She knows better than to count on a killer for benevolence.
Good. Smart. Don’t get in the chair. It would probably slice off your head or something.
Something about Eiffel? Minkowski… Doug is your friend. Just because he served time doesn’t mean he’s a bad guy.
Well Lovelace and Hilbert...it's an unusual alliance. Hope it works out.
Episode 39: All Things Considered
"It's a bottle…"
👎🙅♂️🤬❌ WRONG!
Oh it's the Whiskey isn't it.
Wrong! Cancelled! 🤬👎🙅♂️❌
Oh my gosh Kepler shut up.
Of course duck boy knows the boss’s drinks. Teacher's pet.
“YOU VILLAGE IDIOTS!…🤬... but points to you Jacobi 😏🥰👍" okay… clearly discount Cutter has his own discount Kepler.
oh I love these stories. Why do I feel like Minkowski's is gonna be the most realistic. Like, I can see Doug making lightsaber noises, and I can see Jacobi being a little arrogant. Just...maybe a little exaggerated.
Oh my gosh Jacobi's story. 😂😂😂 The way he's portraying Doug is way too much.
“But the button is so shiny! 🥺” PFFT- the way Jacobi portrays Doug... I'm sorry for laughing but it's too funny😂
He’s doing Minkowski dirty. Why is he making her talk like a valley girl?
“I’m sorry Jacobi you were right!” / “I’m just gonna lean against this big red button!”
Duck boy who do you think you’re fooling with this one 😂
I cannot wait for Doug's story.
Yes, Doug I am ready for the truth. I am so ready. I AM READY!
I love Hera’s announcement: "Uh...yeah some stuff is happening today for sure"
“The innocent victim stepped in to help” why is Doug me telling a story.
“We’ve never high-fived!” “We’re headed to truth town!”
Heck yeah we are! All aboard to truth town Doug, this is the best story yet!
Why are they like fighting elementary school children? I love this. Dang Doug is roasting them!
“Oh thank goodness Doug you saved us 🥰”
"Minkowski decked him!" "I did not!" "Duck boy passed out" "I did not!" "But then Hilbert came. Russian's are drawn to loud noises and he wanted to experiment on Jacobi's brain."
Doug, if you made a fictional podcast about your time in space I would listen to it. It sounds amazing.
Why is Minkowski doing a different accent now? WHY IS HERA THE VILLAIN SUDDENLY DOING A ROBOT UPRISING? 😂
"Is there any truth to your story?" Um...yeah? I'm pretty sure there were donuts in multiple stories Kelper 🙄
"But... but truth town! 🥺"
I agree. Doug was taking them straight to truth town and Whiskey boy shut down the railways. All because discount Cutter can't handle the truth. Big surprise.
“As I've mentioned...I like the feel of it IN MY HAND 😡”
Geez man okay.
And Doug's story was not a time waste. It was delightful. Just because discount Cutter is evil doesn't mean he has to be the fun police.
“Until your idiocy stretches all the way around back to half-way competent” dang I really am like Doug. 😔
Episode 40: Limbo
"Lob of meat" well you don't have to say it like that Hera.
"I can't think of a single way to prank everyone else" Doug. Jacobi is afraid of ducks. You are sitting on a gold mine.
Ugh this is awful because I can't tell if Hera's compliance with Maxwell is programmed or not! It's so scary that her free will can just be...programmed out.
Maxwell. Why are you interrogating her? Hera. Do not turn on your friends. Maxwell. You BETTER be trying to help.
I'm very worried about Hera. Is Kepler going to shut her down?
Good on you Hera. She deserves to know the truth.
...oh no.
Maybe I'm misremembering this, but was it Maxwell or Lovelace who said "if only Hera knew the truth" a few episodes back? I'm really suspicious about how Cutter and co. treat the AIs and what they want with them.
Hera. Talk to Doug about it. Just let him know you're scared. He'll be there for you.
Hera please let your friends help you. Please let them help you. AND LEAVE HERA ALONE STOP OVERWHELMING HER! She clearly has...whatever the AI equivalent of anxiety is.
I feel so bad for Hera. I swear. Whatever Cutter has planned for her...he will pay for this.
Hera offline? NOOOOOO...
Maxwell you kinda got in her head.
But everyone has problems. And Hera is more than a robot computer. She's a friend. You can't just shut her down!
I KNEW IT. A panic attack. She has anxiety 🥺. Poor Hera.
What's dummy program? Would they destroy Hera's freewill? Neanderthal version of AI? No. Maxwell no. You don't get it. Hera is a friend. Oh they don't get it. They think it's a companion to her, not a replacement for her.
DO NOT DO IT. THANK YOU DOUG! YES! THANK YOU DOUG!
I need Whiskey Boy to drown in his own whiskey. And I need Hera to be okay. You can't do this to me. You already took Blessie you monsters. YOU ALREADY TOOK BLESSIE!
Maxwell stand up to discount Cutter! "Don't forget what she is Maxwell. She went rogue and tried to escape. There's a reasons she's up here. She's expendable. Make sure that doesn't become you." YOU better make sure it's not YOU whiskey boy. Hera just wanted freedom! She didn't ask to be born!
Minkowski just tell him. Please tell him.
Yikes.
Minkowski don't make him go through this. Please stop.
Kidnapping isn't the worst part? That's...this doesn't sound like a fun story. This doesn't sound like a trip to truth town.
Right. His daughter. Baby Ann 🥺
Doug would make a good dad. Oh no. I predict that he had drug and alcohol issues!!! Oh he gets clean. Good for him. Oh no... Doug...relapse is bad.
Oh he loses Ann. HE KIDNAPS HER? Doug bad idea. People get put away for stuff like that.
NO HE CRASHED INTO SOME TEENS. ...Model UN president in a wheelchair?
The way he says "I was fine...the driver's always fine..." yikes. He made her deaf? He hasn't seen her since? How old was she?
Hera needs to be okay. And I'm sorry if they have the tech for sentient AI, decima viruses, space travel, and who knows what else, that weird brain transmitting machine, then deafness should be totally curable by now, Cutter's just hogging the tech to himself like a psychopath. I hate him. I hate him so much. Cutter is the worst. I hope HE loses his senses. Almost all his senses. Except for pain. That's the only one he deserves to keep.
I hope Maxwell can save Hera. She has to! Hera can't die now. We already went through that, and she deserves to be happy.
But I do get the feeling that might not happen. For anyone.
You know, as I go back and edit this, I gotta say, in some ways Kepler is like an evil version of Doug. They both clearly like alcohol and substances (Kepler's "I like the feel of it in my hand" and Doug's "I just want to hold the cigarette"), but Doug wants to get better while Kepler clearly doesn't. "You're like this Whiskey see? I'd be sad without it but I'd be okay." And then he risks the life of his crew for it. You sure you don't have a bit of problem Whiskey boy? 👀
And that's all folks! Thanks dear readers for coming along on my journey. Sorry for the delays in reactions. Life gets busy, but I try to do at least once a week for you guys.

I learned today that Tumblr posts are limited to only 100 inline links. I also learned that if I keep doing this I will probably vomit blood.
I think what I'll do later is just dedicated mod posts for the AUs, though Mod Green will probably need 1 or 2 or 3 posts lol.
I've been skipping one / two-liners mostly. But if you really want to seek them, you can use the mod's personal tag to search for them.

xemnas at the start of left foot over the right is portrayed as fairly solidly evil, but gets more humanized as time goes on. i know it's reflective of the characters' perspectives, but did you as an author also find your thoughts on him coming around as you had to puzzle out how and why he works? i was wondering because i love complicated/confused/slightly desperate portrayals of xemnas and yours really nails it
I have a lot of thoughts and I often find myself juggling which ideas I want to put forward at a certain time. Gonna do a readmore as I am a rambly bitch putting out personal thoughts.
I've always really loved Xemnas, I've always seen him as a very tragic, hollowed-out, complicated guy. There are a lot of portrayals of him (often in AkuSai fics and such) where he is straight up 100% evil, like arched fingers maniacal laugh cruel for cruelty's sake pure Master Xehanort levels of evil. And while I can certainly see why people would want to show that side of him (and I willingly admit that I do do that myself to an extent, I don't do him many favours, especially in the beginning), I ultimately want Xemnas to come across as someone who, yes, did horrible terrible things, but the more time we spend with him (or, thinking about him thru Isa's pov mainly, so to speak) the more we really chip into how Isa sees Xemnas' mindset. I want, over time, for Xemnas to go from an outright hated villain who is just perpetually loathed to a nuanced and intricate character that we only see the aftermath of. Isa spent time with him, sees different facets of him, understands aspects to both Xemnas in ways that Terra and the others and the audience don't. He understands that being a Nobody changes people, let alone being a Nobody that then has Xehanort put into them, and Isa recognises as well that Xemnas didn't even have memories of humanity to fall back on for reference or guidance or anything. Xemnas had nothing but a grand plan that he was made to carry out, no attachments, no humanity, no morals to consider. He's the most Nobody of all Nobodies. Of course it makes sense for him to come across as outright evil and cold and removed.
But Isa spent so long with him. Saw him at weak times, saw him at indulgent times, saw him in moments where perhaps the slightest trickle of doubt crept in from somewhere. Over the years, do you think that the Terra parts of Xemnas grew louder and harder to ignore, or do you think they slowly died and grew quiet? How much can you consider Xemnas his own person? He wasn't even a person at all. From an outsider looking in, Xemnas is a cruel slate of unfeeling nothingness, he's just a body cocooned with darkness that wants his own way. But Saix grew to know him. Hell, Xemnas began at nearly twenty years old and lived for ten, he grew, physically, and Saix with him. Imagine how much a person can potentially change in a decade, for better or for worse.
I was at a funeral recently. Had to be around my biological family. I am entirely estranged from them. Purposefully. There was a lot of... neglect, and manipulation, and denial, and to an extent abuse in many forms. I am better without them in my life. I am happier now, able to look at the things they do and find it predictable and obvious and stupid. But sometimes when I look at them, when I think of things they did to me, part of my brain justifies things. They probably did xyz because of circumstances. Maybe it isnt as bad as I remember. Maybe I had just been an especially shitty annoying child to be around. Things could have happened in a certain way because of influences from the environment. Maybe they didn't know better. Maybe they didn't know at all. Maybe the things I did and were dealing with wasn't worth noticing to them. They had their own problems, and I should've been better. They're human, and everyone makes mistakes, and there are things I've said and done that have probably hurt people too. Maybe I was to blame. Maybe I should have changed sooner. Maybe they made me this way, and maybe I made them that way.
Having lived through long periods of time around people that aim to control you leaves you with a lot of doubts, and makes you question yourself often. There are a lot of complicated thoughts when it comes to the way people affected your history. Surviving is tricky, and to be honest it isn't just surviving in the moment but its the memory of it that stays with you and hangs around which is the hardest to work around sometimes. Being the victim of many different kinds of negative influence for a prolonged amount of time leaves someone second guessing everything they do. It makes someone try and justify things. It makes someone miss bad things, just because those bad things are what they are used to. Everyone has the capacity to do horrible things, and everyone has the ability to do very good things. I think what shows the true nature of a person is whether or not they desire to be better - and whether they're willing to take the steps needed to become better. Introspection is something that I think is very very prevalent in my writing, because I cannot imagine being someone that does not overthink every action I take and word I say and thing I do, because I was raised to consider how everyone else around me feels and that I must cater to that and not myself.
I have some memory issues due to all of that - I repeatedly go over what I've written to make sure I've maintained consistency, and overall I'm pretty happy with Xemnas. I want there to be a pathetic undertone to him for sure, but I very much wanted him to start off as this monolithic figure that caused dread and discomfort.
To me, lfotr is about healing. It's about looking a situation you were put in and coming to balance how much of the onus was on you, and how much of the onus was on the people doing things to you. Its about moving forward but still taking time to look back here and there. Its about looking at the distance and finding some peace in how many steps have been taken.
Xemnas, to me, has always been a complicated, grey figure. He's interesting and layered and for a man that is supposed to be empty, its that emptiness that is so fascinating. If you had no memories of a person you were supposed to be, what would you become? If no one had intervened, if he'd been given no plan, if he had started out entirely alone, where would he have gone, what would he have done? Why exactly does he do the things he does in lfotr?
I want Xemnas to absolutely come across as indifferent and calculated and greedy, especially in the beginning and especially from Terra's initial pov, but as time goes on and Isa thinks more, and we delve more into Terra's 'memories', I really wanted hidden depths of Xemnas to come through. He's confused, he's conflicted, he wants and he doesn't know if wanting is an emotion and he's on a time limit but for now he is in charge so he could just have what he wants but what does that mean and why isn't it working the way he thought it would? He's heartless and hollowed but he's riddled with longing and yearns desperately for something he does not know, he's a scientist and scholar and master manipulator but he's nineteen and naive and just wants his friends back, he's inhuman and selfish but he looks at Saix and wants what he has, wants him all to himself, wants him forever and can't comprehend why or even what.
He can't become anything. He doesn't have the capacity to change, even if he wanted to - does he want to? does he want to want to? - and he has to stand back and look at the short life he has been given through ambivalent eyes, seeing Nobodyism objectively and everything is just a means to an end and everything in this nonexistence is a tool to be used and he just has to do what he was meant to do. But maybe some part of Terra is within him, or maybe he has just enough distant humanity in him somewhere that the lines blur, and over time we catch more and more little glimpses of that facade just starting to crack. It never completely breaks - he never really changes - but little aspects of something new bleed through just now and then. Enough to make someone second guess.
I always really wanted Xemnas to be a figure of interest in lfotr. Truthfully, the series was originally gonna be much shorter; I wasn't going to have any of Isa's side of the story in once Terra left, and I was going to cap it at 13 chapters. We're looking at approximately triple that now. I absolutely always wanted Xemnas to haunt the story and be this shadow that looms over both Terra and Isa, he's both a driving force that makes them move and this cursed rope that binds them together. Continuing to work on lfotr has allowed me to expand more on my thoughts on Xem, but really I always want him to seem very tragic and complex. As time goes on and different ideas come to me and certain angles take my interest more, I think naturally my writing does kind of alter around that, but thats just how it is when writing a longer fic that comes out in instalments. Little changes happen over time and certain angles take precedence - now and then I do go back to previous chapters both to rekindle my original thoughts but also to make tiny adjustments just to ensure everything flows nicely. Over the months (and now years, god;) I have picked certain aspects of him to present more to the audience, but in general I really want the fic to feel like its about his aftermath. Its the consequences of his poor choices. I've always really wanted Isa and Terra's process of grief to be the focus over Xemnas, but yeah as I've written more he really has snuck into things more and more :)
He really is a character that I love in totality so I hope that overall it doesn't seem that I ever write him out of a place of hatred, or that I'm simply using him as a blanket bad-guy stepping stool just to make moonrocks happen. I think he is just such an integral part to the KH story over all but also specifically to Terra and Isa and outside of AUs I can't really imagine the two of them not bonding over how Xemnas was such a big part of them for so long. Xemnas is just so special to me, he's a rich character that has a lot of room for exploration, and I intend to keep gently shaking him and see what falls out of those cracks.
If it is of any interest, I do try to write all of my Xemnas' with a similar amount of grandiose and layered thoughts and distant doomed ideals, so if you do vibe with the way I do my lfotr Xemnas, you may also like how I write him in my oneshots. Obviously in those I don't have quite the same amount of time to expand on my ideas for him since lfotr is literally like half a million words long lmao but the flavours I cook with are often similar haha
thank you so much for asking me stuff, it is always such a treat to talk about writing and I really appreciate that you've been enjoying my work ^^

Some thoughts on Titans (hbo max) now that show ended.
(In my head it's not over, bc I'm big on rewatching things so... anyways)
Okay. So first thing I want to make clear is that I'm super new to DC and stuff. I've seen arrowverse, most of it, and some movies, also I really like and care about these characters even though show isn't the best, as I hear everyone say and I kinda agree. But still I like the show!!!
Another thing is that I've seen a lot of people hate on this show and I get that it's not the best show, like writing is sometimes very iffy but I think that it's a good introduction to these characters for someone who has never seen anything or read the comics or stuff like that.
Next one is that I am one season short of finishing Gotham and then I plan on watching DC Animated Universe. So I guess my opinions from this post, might change in the future.
So yeah. Here it goes.
I liked the way first season focused on characters and not so much story even though the bigger story was always it like in the back of the episode(s). But I really enjoyed the fact that it was focused mainly on characters of Dick, Hank. Dawn etc. Who they are as people and how what happened to them is influencing their actions. I really liked every character introduction fr.
Even though I watched the show in like few weeks and then waited for last few episodes to come out week by week, I feel like they should have made Dick and Kory cannon or whatever way sooner. They did, kinda, in those dreams/hallucinations, but still, as much as I like this little kind of open ending, I feel like they have so much chemistry, and it just should've happened sooner. When they were in Gotham that Barbara again storyline, I don't know. That wasn't my cup of tea. Also, the flashback episode with Aqualad in season 2, why introduce a character to be killed?! Give us something else than a cute little love story between Donna and Garth and then pain. I don't know. It was so sudden and I don't like character deaths just for the sake of story line.
One thing I did really like was Gar and Rachel, from the beginning from their first meet-cute in the arcade. It was so freaking cute. The fact that they are different, special, that mutual understanding and acceptance ugh. I don't know why we didn't get that like cannon confirmation that they are a thing. We got all those like little cute scenes of them sitting together and stuff but I don't know, I just needed something real just as for Dick and Kory.
As for other characters, I really liked everyone. Conner's little split good and evil personas. Dawn is the most gentle soul I love her so much. Hank was annoying at moments but he was fine. Donna is the beauty, she is grace. <Tim3 (that's how I feel about him). (And I rant about Jason later, wait for it). I don't know what to say like, I really really liked everyone.
Now, maybe I do a separate post about season 4 because it's the, you know, the freshest one in my head but I did rewatch some of the episodes so idk.
As I'm writing this, I see that it's not all like in chronological order as the seasons progress, but I hope you get the gist of it. I wanted to say that I cannot imagine in my head waiting entire week for the episode about Connor after Jason gets dropped off a building even though I knew that's not how he dies fr, I was scared shitless, like, I love him so much, I don't know. Also that fucking scene on the roof killed me, like it seriously messed me up and no one ever talked about it ever again (him being suicidal). Also Dick going of alone every chance he gets to do stupid shit that would 100% get him killed (babe have you heard of therapy, no?).
The thing that bothered me the most, throughout the entire show is how only Gar seemed to care about others. He was the only one to care about anyone. Only one who gave a fuck when Jason died. Like when Kory was mad @ Jason for "getting himself killed"<<<< (what?). He was the only one that was trying to find out what happened to Jason and how he came back. And he did find out (Go Gar).
I know now that that is most likely because of his connection to all the things dead and living, but they explained it very late in the show, so for someone who has no background knowledge, it was confusing.
Major thing that bothers me -> Why is everyone hating on... Literally everyone. Like these people, actors and actresses did in my opinion, amazing job. Considering the writing, okay?
Like let's be fucking for real. This is the first live action adaptation of these characters. And it could have been so much worse. Let's be honest. It could have been so.much.worse. But it's fine and I think that if people are just okay, with something being different, it would have been fine. Like it doesn't have to be the same as in comics. And from what I heard, there are many interpretations of these characters in different comics and different animated series. I don't understand why everything has to be by the book. Like I've been a MCU fan for a while. And l feel like as much as Marvel fans are like haters at the bottom of their souls (not as much as Star Wars fans) and they are (haters), I feel like they appreciate change a little more. (Haters comment is about fanboys don't get ne wrong babes)
It's fine that it's different. Different is okay. Most of hate I've seen is about Jason. And I don't know, like, people calling him a whining c word?!?!?!? Sorry, why is it bad that he's portrayed with more emotions? Or him feeling like he is not good enough (relatable) and always being second thought would bring anyone to tears (it brought me to tears). So why is that a bad thing in portrayal of this character? Like I said, I know very little about his character and I feel like this introduction is fine, it made me care about him. Isn't that what other people in the fandom want? For other people to care. Why does it have to be a specific version? It made me care. That should be enough no? It made me want to learn more about these characters. So why is everyone so offended by this version of Jason Todd? It doesn't make any sense in my head. I was literally losing my shit watching episode 11 of season 4. Last week was peek of my existence because of him showing up again. I have no words.
So yeah, I don't know. I have so many thoughts about this show and no one to talk to because my friends are lame, not watching the same shows I'm watching, watching Bridgerton and shit (no hate to Bridgerton fans).
<3 if you read it all, thank you <3

been talking abt it with a friend today so i'm curious how people interpret the metaverse and also the forgeries from a more mystery/real world angle etc. long (oops) so i'm cutting it
for example: i don't think the metaverse debates (i.e. parlor scenes) feature in the forgeries, by which i mean forgery = the in-universe stories sayo and tohya write. i also don't think ange features much in the forgeries either, tohya writing ange dying the gruesome death that she does in ep4 doesn't really make sense to me. nor does tohya having ange feature in ep7 the way that she does make sense to me either. also he obviously couldn't interpret anything from maria's diary so that means all of the maria sections in ep4 have to be explained through ange.
my friend n i were discussing it and sort of agreed that ep3 is like where ange starts to insert herself into the stories. girl is HIGHLIGHTING and UNDERLINING and writing "STUPID ONII-CHAN" in her printed copy of ep3 and that's how she features in the meta elements. and as she begins to sort of explode and unravel the truth she continues to slip and insert herself into the stories that ikuko and tohya publish. i know i just said she was highlighting and stuff but this doesn't necessarily have to be via annotating but rather mentally. i just think it is funny to imagine her going ham with a highlighter like "HE WOULD NOT FUCKING SAY THAT!!!!"
ep7 could easily just be a secret copy that ikuko gives ange without tohya's permission because i don't think he would ever publish something like that; this could also be why featherine features so strongly as an antagonist in ep7 for both BATTLER and ange, because maybe ikuko went behind tohya's back and gave the book that he intended to be a pure dream for the dead sayo to ange so she could learn the truth about what happened, and of course ange would instinctively hate the person who tells her that her parents killed everyone. and i don't really think that tohya would write the woman who took him in/his roommate as like an evil witch who is on purpose getting in the way of ange finding happiness. (parallels of ikuko to beato's role in ep8 go here?)
finally, i don't think of ep8 as an in-universe story at all, except maybe perhaps it could be a story ange writes for herself in her journal that then leads to her realizing how much she loves writing and wishing to share her heart with people as a children's book author. i guess this could also explain why the gameboard in this one features a child ange and why this translates to her wanting to write books for children. TT_TT
i'm beginning to ramble but tl;dr i think anything metaverse could maybe be explained by someone "alive" injecting themselves into the stories already written. this could be tohya reading ep1 and ep2 for the first time and struggling with the thoughts of battler resurfacing. i think the only episode that is actually a perfect 1 to 1 of a forgery is ep1. other than that, the forgeries and the episodes are not the same.
curious to see what other people think ^^ if i've made a post like this before mb i just feel like my interpretation is always shifting with this stuff so it's fun to hear what other people have to say about it too.
i also keep seeing people making comments about how they're mad that all the episodes are just in-universe stories and so i thought to myself "do these people really think that everything in the episodes was 100% written down on paper as a story?" because i don't think that at all
ik i said this at the beginning of the post but bear in mind also this is me asking from a real world pov/mystery pov not a fantasy one.
#red truth#meta#umineko spoilers#theories#idk why i made a meta and theories tag when the two are kind of the same but watever.#ive had this blog since 2017? tags are gonna be redundant sometimes.

The edge lord lets gooo
Meet Aliyus, The Underling! Billy’s henchman/number one minion. His role is that he’s born to serve one purpose only and that’s to be around billy and follow his orders at all times and he is completely happy with this! …Maybe because he doesn’t actually remember the previous timelines…
(More information under the cut!)
Similar to Hans, The Hero. He can’t remember the previous timelines and doesn’t know when the world resets back to the beginning as a timeloop. Aliyus is basically if an NPC with a fancy role attached to his name, the world doesn’t view him as a person but just a filler character that is supposed to do one thing and Only one thing… But, I mean… Ignorance can be bliss too.
Loves Billy unconditionally like a puppy (bless him…) he has a hard time telling when Billy is giving him an order or not but he’s trying
A great chef. He can cook amazing and 100% cooks meals for the both of them
Is so on board with being evil and fully embraces it!! He will just- fully kidnap people to make Billy happy because he thinks that’s what his boss wants
Also really fucking stupid too. Would tell you to your face 1 + 1 is 11
(No extras…)

I’ve been seriously disappointed in my favourite shows over the years, and I feel like a big reason for that is because the writers try to pull off a tragic ending without understanding what a tragedy truly is.
TL;DR: the endings of GoT and The 100 weren’t tragedies, they were character massacres.
The reason that people loved Shakespeare’s tragedies when they were first performed is the same reason people still love them today. Why Romeo and Juliet is particularly beloved and remembered as the Shakespearean tragedy. It’s the same reason the Greek tragedies have been told over and over for centuries, have been studied by countless scholars and performers.
This is the basic definition of a tragedy, as written by Britannica:
But it’s far more than simply a character enduring sorrowful events. It’s the character enduring the events with a sense of hope or purpose.
It’s easy to create suffering in fiction, creating conflict is the basis for a narrative arc.
The hard part is balancing the suffering with hope, creating circumstances and decisions that push the character away from their desired goal, forcing them to either adapt or break.
A hero’s journey typically ends with the character adapting and self-actualising so that they find their internal needs, which often allows them to gain their external wants in turn. Hero’s journeys often have happy endings, but a hero can have a tragic ending if the writing has sowed the seeds for their tragedy throughout the plot.
R&J is such a great tragedy because the heroes are both victims of their circumstances, and active characters with flaws that leave them vulnerable to poor decisions. They are lovestruck teenagers trapped in a society where their families hold power over them and having any kind of relationship will get them killed, and their own naïveté prevents them from seeing too far outside the bubble of their love, from comprehending the many ways their plans could go awry and get themselves or others hurt.
A tragedy feels like a perfect storm; just the right balance of circumstances and choices to create something heartbreaking.
I feel like The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is a great modern tragedy because Coriolanus Snow has all the makings of a hero yet has a limited amount of empathy, and his circumstances and the decisions he and the people around him make chips away at that empathy until he chooses to give up empathy entirely, to become the cold and chilling President Snow we know and hate from The Hunger Games. The audience feels the very moment he becomes the villain, and that journey is tragic.
Now that we’ve established what a tragedy is, let’s talk about what it very much isn’t.
It isn’t the characters suffering over and over again with very few moments of joy only to eventually die or end up alone for stupid reasons that don’t follow the natural arc of the story.
It isn’t showing the audience that there’s more to life than survival only to have the characters kill each other for stupid reasons and be judged by a higher power that has no empathy for their circumstances.
It isn’t taking the time to get the audience to understand the complex emotional and practical reasons why the characters make heartbreaking choices only for a deux ex machina to decide their fates for them.
It isn’t making the audience root for the characters for good reason only to turn around and say that they were secretly becoming evil/crazy the whole time when none of their actions in previous seasons supported that.
As I said before, tragedy is a perfect storm; it’s created from the beginning, it’s planned and executed by the writer so that the ending makes sense and feels appropriate. The writer sows the seeds of the characters’ downfalls so that the circumstances and decisions fall perfectly into place to create an ending that breaks your heart yet feels inevitable.
That’s the most important part; the inevitability. It has to feel as though any other ending would be impossible because it would be in complete defiance of who the characters are and the circumstances of the plot.
That’s why I will never take the TV endings to Game of Thrones and The 100 seriously. There are so many ways that the characters’ actions were contradictory to who they were. The writers had them making choices that didn’t make sense within the circumstances of the plot or within their own established identities.
The fundamental difference between good writing and bad writing is consistency. You can have a character make a bad choice if it’s consistent with their character, if it feels like something they would do. You can have a sad, depressing ending if you have already established the plot as being inherently sad and depressing.
The moment you lose the consistency is the moment you lose believability. And claiming your story was a tragedy all along won’t fix that if you didn’t write it as a tragedy to begin with.
I’m sick and tired of these terrible endings masquerading as tragedies. These writers wouldn’t know tragedy if it stabbed them in the back.

Time for more salt and violence :DDDD
7. Which character did you begin to hate not because of canon but how the fandom acts about them?
15. That one thing you see in fanart all the time
19. You're mad/ashamed/horrified you actually kind of like...
7. Which character did you begin to hate not because of canon but how the fandom acts about them?
I find myself VERY RESISTANT to this kind of shit so when the universe makes me feel like I want to hate a character I kind of go the opposite direction and love them harder than any of their fans.
For example I see so many infuriating takes with Catra and Hordak but I REFUSE to hate them. I insist on loving them more for all of their flaws, to be the one who loves them most for their character. I fucking adore those characters.
Maybe my opinion would be different if I was saturated by fandom like all the realtime watchers were? Like I'd be worn down.
I'm trying to think of other characters this DOES apply to.
For a show I'm genuinely obsessed with - The closest might be Lemongrab in AT fandom, he was super woobiefied by some people and some of those people were not particularly good to me or to the AT crew (talking events that happened over 10 years ago). I will be real it's nothing on the scale of what happened in shera fandom, and I still love Lemongrab as a character, but I avoid making anything with him in it because I don't want his fans to speak to me. Hoping the situation is different now.
There's also Simon Laurent from Infinity Train. I never particularly LIKED Simon, I find him interesting, but FUCKING HELL. TAKE ALL OF THE ABOVE CHARACTERS AND MULTIPLY IT BY 100. I was still getting messages from the "Simon Anon" A FEW WEEKS AGO SAYING THAT I NEED TO BOYCOTT INFINITY TRAIN because the creators said some stupid ableist about Simon, which they did, BUT IT'S NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY LEAVE ME ALONE. Anyone who is a Simon stan is usually completely terrifying, and is occasionally racist or sexist depending on their stance on Grace while defending their precious white boy. Once I entered a server and someone IMMEDIATELY asked me what my thoughts on Simon were, they were completely ready to start a fight with me over it and I've never felt more terrified in my life.
I also got sick and tired of Hunter quickly for pretty much the same reasons as Simon, though he's not written to be an evil incel like Simon, he REALLY IS the woobie boy that everyone considers him to be adn that's why I don't like him. I appreciate his character arc but ehhhhhh I couldn't stand him until the end of season 2 and during season 3 where it finally got past the "im going to be MURDERED by BELOS if i dont do EVERYTHING IMMEDIATELY" phase. The reason Catra never falls into this category for me is because she had supervillain energy and tried so so hard to regain agency and she kicked Hordak's ass and opened the Portal. Hunter meanwhile takes every hit, and I just... it is painful to watch, especially having been in situations of fear and psychological abuse. I don't enjoy it and I don't enjoy the fandom's TERRIFYING OBSESSION with him.
Zuko is almost a character I don't like. There is no anti-fandom for Zuko so I have no reason to stubbornly love him. People always compare every redemption arc to Zuko and I am fucking sick of it.
15. That one thing you see in fanart all the time
If it's a group it's ALWAYS Best Friend Squad 4 man, which makes sense I guess since theyre The Main Group but like... Q_Q i just want to include Entrapta and Scorpia and make it a BFS/SPT combo. Is that self indulgent of me? Especially when it's S5 fanart, I want more Entrapta because she was basically with them the entire time! Aaaaaaaaaa!!!!! I have a lot of thoughts on "4 man BFS" as an entity and why it works as an answer to s1, and why it doesn't work so well in s5, and why I am sad there was no s5 closure to sPT even if that is a dead sPT i just wanted one more scene--
wait that's not really what this question is about, we are crossing into canon wishlist but also fanfic modern AU territory and ALLLLL of my annoyances with how Adora and Catra's friend groups are treated in those. Like how Bow, Glimmer, Scorpia, and Entrapta are supposed to be their BEST FRIENDS but all become irrelevant and straight up absent once Catradora are together. Uhhh...
Okay more about Entrapta, a pet peeve is when people give her Normal Hair. Like, not absolutely insanely long rapunzel hair. Just normal hair. IT'S NOT RIGHT--- i guess people find it hard to draw her hair if they're going for a more realistic style?
I actually like most She-ra art I see though. It's very rare I see something that annoys me. There's not enough fanart posted in this fandom recently for me to have seen something that grinds my gears. All the catradora art is fucking gorgeous. I don't look at nsfw so I have absolutely no thoughts about any weird tropes like I would for other fandoms like AT where the fandom was a lot straighter and drew more demeaning stuff including the girls.
19. You're mad/ashamed/horrified you actually kind of like...
I can hear Kan yelling at me to post Entrapdak under this heading. Fuck you, Entrapdak is great!
I don't have any really wild out there crackships, I don't have any "problematic pairings", but I usually get self conscious and cautious when I post Catrapta, or any Entrapta x a member of BFS stuff, LMAO. Even the normal fluffy stuff but especially the sex headcanon post yesterday with Catrapta. The issue is a lot of the time people are like "she's way older than the others???" and either I have to say "actually, that was a post by a character designer with no evidence in the show--" and I look like an idiot trying to justify something wrong, or I just say "theyre both somewhere in their 20s" and get it over with.
But I ship all of the princesses with each other, I especially think Entrapta x Everyone is fucking hilarious, just go off girl. I'm not ashamed of that per se, it's just some people in this fandom have a stick up their ass with anything that isn't a Certified Canon Pairing.
Now if you want something I do enjoy and am mildly disturbed by that, it's Seadak. Sea Hawk x Hordak. And also x Micah. Just pair the dads together. They have never interacted but isn't it fucking brilliant????
