Warrior Cats moment

I decided that screw it I am posting Warriors on main now and the other blog is just the archive for it.

I am gonna try to make it a whole rewrite au thing buuut we'll see how it goes! Currently calling it the CappuccinoRewrite but we'll see.

Design notes:

-Going with my own naming system which changes a few things, sparknotes is that apprentices get any suffix related to body parts or patterns (-fur, -tail, -throat, -dapple for example), so warriors cannot get them; no cats named after colors because colors and feelings/personalities are basically the same words in their language; honorifics are adverbs or adjectives like Running or Bright added at the start of a name, therefore those cannot be names; leaders get a new name upon receiving their nine lives, those names can break most of these rules because leaders are legendary.

-Fireheart my boy, I used to draw him with a full head of curls but the design felt too complex on the face so now it's just a couple tufts on the top. His cheek fluff, fluffy nose and floppy ears are going to be Firekin deadringers, everyone gets at least one. Other than that I like to make him striped and with a lighter belly to truly sell the fire look.

-Cricketpurr (Graystripe), who I love giving a stupid mustache to and then offloading it to all his children too. His nose is red because the figurine makes it red, and I like giving him a couple more stripes.

-Ravenscruff (Ravenpaw) who does not get an adult name because he dipped before that, and Dusthill (Dustpelt) (still thinking of changing it to something else... Dustmound maybe?) look alike because they're brothers. The white patches are the same, they also got a white tail tip, and the two pointed "mask" on Ravenscruff has the same shape as Dusthill's sickass eyebrows.

-Sandstorm my girlie, first time trying to give her the eyemask marking since designing her dad Stoatrun (Runningwind) and I think she looks nice, even if I might tweak the colors later.

-Bluestar! Her old name was Hailmoon. I like how the mane makes her look a bit like a wolf. Other than that I think her eyes look pretty.

-Blighted Aspenleaf (Spottedleaf) gave me trouble from start to finish BUT I think she looks pretty nice, her silly hair especially. I also love the little heart marking on her ear.

-Tigerslash (Tigerclaw) has braided stripes, which are like if leopard spots became stripes, with the center of a different color. Other than that though I might change their shape, especially the one on top of his head.

-Bogsnarl (Yellowfang) is extra fluffy and extra scruffy. Her pupils have a redder contour which I also wanna give to her son. Other than that it's a pretty standard design lol.

Family Tree Changes:

Sleetstar is still the daughter of Duskflower and Stagcharge as well as the sister to Snowfeather, all of whom are deceased at the start of the AU. However, she is mates with Stormstone (Crookedstar) and has two separate litters with him, both of which get transferred to River's Camp, the kits being Mistypounce and Stonedive (1st litter) and Silverstream, Shellkit, and Ploverkit (Shell and Plover passed as kits).

Redtail is still mates with Iriscloud in this AU, and father's Ashkit, Tulipkit, and Fernkit (Elderkit doesn't exist lol). His parentage has changed however, his mother is Rosetail and his father is Tawnyspots. He has two deceased siblings, Olivekit and Sloekit.

Leafshade's family is completely different from cannon. She is the daughter of Fawntrail and Beechmask, as well as the sister to Laurelswipe.

Liondapple's family remains decently similar to his cannon family tree. He is still mates with Asterdawn, but he only fathers Brightkit, Thornkit, and Brackenkit. His parentage has also changed, he is now the child of Turtleshell and a deceased tom named Sycamoretooth. He also remains the brother to Aspenleaf.

Martenleap remains as a child of Swiftgaze and Adderstrike, however she is mates with Thrushpelt and is the mother to Starlingswoop and Magpiewing (an OC). She does have two deceased siblings Chipmunkpaw and Mousecatcher.

Tigerstrike is still the son of Pinestar, however his mother is an OC named Frondpelt with his dead siblings Mirekit and Petuniakit.

Starlingswoop is the son of Martenleap and Thrushpelt as well as the brother to Magpiewing. He does end up fathering Ravenpaw with his mate Nettleglare.

Mallowstorm is the son of Snowfeather and Thistlepounce, just like in cannon, however he has a sister based on Mosskit named Chervilblossom.

Chervilblossom mothered Kitepaw with her mate whom passed, Elkleg.

Basilpaw is the son of two of my OCs Firrush and Driftsnap. Notably he is the grandson of Sunstar on Firrush's side.

Rushtail is the son of Sedgetail and a deceased OC named Cherrytail.

Willowtuft is the child of Cloudcatcher and a loner at the barn named Thatcher, she has a few deceased siblings named Bloomkit, Flaxkit, and Podpaw.

Runningwind has two named parents, Elmleg and Wrengaze both of whom are dead. He is also the father to Sandpaw, Cinderkit, Swiftkit, and Lynxkit as well as being mates with Aspenleaf.

Asterdawn is the child of Featherwhisker and Stemfall (OC)

Iriscloud is the kit of two loners named Leonora and Ragweed, she also has a sister who remains a loner named Burnet.

BLUESTAR

Appearance : blue-gray tabby molly with ice-blue eyes, a torn right ear, and a scar across her shoulders

The tear in Bluestar's ear was given to her by Stormstar while they were both still apprentices. RiverClan and ThunderClan had gotten into a border skirmish over Sunningrocks, and while ThunderClan ultimately won, Stormstar—then Stormpaw—managed to give her the injury before RiverClan retreated.

The scar on her shoulders is also from battle, this one with a badger that had moved onto ThunderClan territory during her Deputyship. Bluestar was badly hurt by the badger in the process of driving it off and had to spend almost two moons in the Healer's den to recover; much to her relief, Sunstar allowed Thrushpelt to stand in as Deputy instead of Thistleclaw.

Bluestar was originally mentored by Stonepelt, who would later become her first Deputy. However, after ThunderClan raided WindClan, Stonepelt was severely injured and needed the time to recover, so Sunstar—then Sunfall—took over as her mentor.

As a warrior, Bluestar mentored Brindleface. Not long after she became leader, she mentored Badgerpaw, who didn't survive long enough to gain his warrior name. Badgerpaw's death hurt Bluestar deeply and made her swear to never take on another apprentice.

Ripplestrike, Brookheart, and Cloverpatch—born Stonekit, Mistykit, and Mosskit—were Bluestar's first litter by Oakheart, a RiverClan warrior. When ThunderClan was hit by a famine during a particularly harsh winter, Bluestar gave her kits to Oakheart to raise in RiverClan so they had a better chance of surviving. They were renamed Ripplekit, Brookkit, and Cloverkit by their foster mother, Graypool.

Other Facts and Information :

As of the beginning of Into the Wild, Bluestar is one of the older cats in ThunderClan and pretty wizened after her many moons as Leader. She's mostly calm and collected, but will still occasionally experience the debilitating anxiety that plagued her during her warriorhood. She is also naturally trusting, preferring to rely on her Clanmates, which gets her into trouble later in her life.

Bluestar takes after her mother in personality and her father in coloring. She grew to resent her father more and more as time went on, and because of that she always wished she looked more like her mother and sister.

Ever since Goosefeather, the Clan seer and her maternal uncle, gave her a prophecy as an apprentice about being "quenched," Bluestar has been terrified of water.

Bluestar lost her nine lives to many causes over the seasons, mostly sickness and battle wounds. However, one notable life was lost after a difficult labor with Sprucewhisker and Aspenleaf, and she loses her final life to drowning—one of many possible interpretations of Goosefeather's prophecy.

Last Living Appearance : A Dangerous Path (The Prophecies Begin)

Bluestar lost her last life to drowning after tackling the leader of the dog pack into the gorge. While she was rescued by Ripplestrike and Brookheart, there was too much water in her lungs after the fact for her to survive.

I am literate, and have been writing indie rp since the days of MySpace. I typically write queer OCs, anime, romance, and smut. Looking for someone mature to write with.

Looking for a partner for Blacknight, rogue prince who was taken from the rogues as a kit by his mother to spare him the fate of his father. They are all sick when they come to Smokeclan, and Blacknight was the only survivor. He fought hard to become a warrior, and during his apprenticeship he killed a badger for killing his mentor, earning him his warrior name as a nod to his mentor, Nightheart.

Also looking for a partner for Loudsong, cheeky fun silver tabby with long fur. Got his warrior name for howling before he attacks. Young warrior deputy, to a greying and crazy leader, Stonestar.

Also would love a partner for Applewhisker, daughter of the deputy just trying to earn her keep as her sister becomes a medicine cat.

I also have Fogbreeze, a cat born to another clan, though his story is different. Abandoned by twolegs as a kit, his mother died giving birth and the twolegs didnt want to deal with him. Tossing him and his sister Morningkit in a box and on the side of the thunderpath. Riverleap, a Smokeclan warrior found the kits, and brought them back to camp. When Fogbreeze became an apprentice he knew that Smokeclans thick dense forest was no place for him. He longed for the water. With the approval of Brookclan, he left Smokeclan and became a Brookclan cat. Now he gets to hunt in the streams, and swim in the waters. Except he's got a very pesky crush on a clanmate, who everyone has their eye on as the next deputy.

Maplepaw, to be Mapleflight, is a little old to still be an apprentice in Thrushclan. He’s nearing his 18th moon, and still hasnt gotten his warrior name. Thats not an accident. You see, hes been receiving dreams from Starclan since his first night in the apprentice den, telling him of his future as a medicine cat. The problem? He’s head over tail in love with the medicine cat. You’d play the medicine cat, who maybe has gotten a sign from Starclan that Maplepaw is to be your apprentice, but feelings have stirred thinking about spending so much time with him, and now you wonder if its right. Medicine cats cant have mates, right? But what if its other medicine cats? Well, either Maplepaw needs to admit his interest either in the romance, or the med cat position before their leader realizes he needs his warrior name, and makes him promsie to fight for the clan, even at the cost of his life. Maplepaw doenst think he can answer that question honestly if asked.

Sparrowsong is the daughter of the leader of Whisperclan, Oakstar, her littermate shaping up to be a fine warrior. Too bad the young medicine cat will find herself pregnant with her secret mate's kits (a fellow clanmate but a warrior), and now has to face losing her place as a medicine cat. Gimme a warrior/deputy to be her mate, and he can teach her all the things about being a warrior, itll be so cute.

Lastly, flirtatious young Littlestorm, grandson of Blacknight (now Blackstar), is a medicine cat under Aspenleaf (Applewhiskers sister). He loves being a medicine cat, but he cant help but find interest in a young tom warrior. Gimme some cute flirting, "oh wont you help little ol' littlestorm fetch some cobwebs?" type shit. Like both obviously into each other and doing a piss poor job at hiding it.

Story:

Bristleblaze was a good cat.

Lawful, following the warrior code and his own moral code, it went against his nature to turn away a cat in need. So when he saw an orange and white tom seemingly stuck in a trap, of course he went to help!

Only for the tom to trap him inside and run away laughing for the Twolegs to find.

He sat in the cage for almost a day, fur puffed out with fear until the Twoleg came to get him. He tried to stay calm, gently communicating his request to be free to the Twoleg, who merely called him a ‘polite young fellow’ and put him in the back of the truck alongside a row of others.

The cats were taken to the Cutter’s, and by the time they left, almost all of them were different.

Bristleblaze staggered back to the clan, trying to shake the ringing, mocking laughter from the orange and white tom and the stinging as the twoleg medicine wore off.

He and his mate- Poppyhollow- had already been trying for kittens, but after he was captured by the Twolegs, no matter how many attempts they made, the couple remained kitless.

Assuming Poppyhollow would be happier with someone who could provide her with kits, Bristleblaze broke off their relationship, ignoring her questions about why, after two dozen moons, he was leaving her.

He left the clan after Poppyhollow found a new mate and soon popped out five healthy new kits.  



He left for the Twolegplace, determined to get revenge on the orange and white tom who had ruined his life.

Instead he met Nutmeg, the sweetest cat-let alone kittypet- he had ever met.

Nutmeg had invited him in and shared his food with the then half-starved Bristleblaze.

After a few moons, Bristleblaze moved in, much to the surprise of the resident Two-leg.

For a few more moons, everything was happy.

But then rumors of a she-cat gone feral and killing other cats rose from the streets.

Bristleblaze decided to investigate, following the trail the diseased she-cat had left, intent on stopping her before she could hurt his beloved Nutmeg.

To his horror, the diseased she-cat was Poppyhollow.

He managed to kill her, but the damage was already done to him, and the pair soon lay together, reunited in death.

What made you pick your name?

Many members on a Warrior Cats roleplay website I was in back in 2017 had the habit to call each other by their first/main character's name and my first character was called Mistpaw. I was in a different group before that with a similar habit where they called me Aspen after my main Aspenleaf, but only Mist ended up sticking

Uhhh well cats and felines in general, birds, mostly corvids and raptors, dromaeosaurid dinosaurs, frogs and various cryptidlike creatures most people would believe to be aliens, like the magnapinna squid. And whales and various creatures that make a person go O_O with their sheer incomprehensiveness

With the changed families, what are the biggest changes you made? I'm a really big fan of rewrites that alter up the family tree and seeing how that affects things.

Ooooo. I think some of the biggest changes made are that of Ravenpaw, and Sandpaws family trees. In this rewrite with Sandpaw as the main pov, I seek to utilize more background characters, so for her parents it was changed to Runningwind and a queen named Aspenleaf, who is the equivalent of Goldenflower in this AU. I always imagined Runningwind as a dark colored tom in my head since I first read the books, Aspenleaf and Runningwind are also the parents to their second litter of Cinderkit, Swiftkit, and Lynxkit. For Ravenpaw, I changed his parentage to Starlingswoop (Darkstripe) and a new she-cat named Nettleglare, funny enough Ravenpaws grandfather is Thrushpelt.
