Are you still a Rio fan?
Oh ABSOLUTELY!!!
Rio and Ice Age are my favorite franchises from Blue Sky Studios and both bring me comfort when I need it the most.
I love stories with a hate/love relationship and while Scrat and Scratte are my favorite example I can’t deny that Blue and Jewel’s relationship is the most heartwarming.
The music from those movies are something else too! I enjoy listening to songs such as “Hot Wings”. “Real in Rio” and “Beautiful Creatures” a lot and the charisma and personality the characters have are some of my favorites to the point that I can relate to Blue a lot. Like… Seriously;;; a lot!! lol
I just struggle a lot to talk about my interests outside of Scratte that’s all xD
*cough*I also used to have a huge crush on Jewel for a time;;; *cough*
#Sorry for the late reply!! I’m not used to receive asks and this one was a pleasant surprise :D#Ask box is always open for anyone that wants to interrogate me xD#Rio#Blue Sky Studios

Severus or Sirius?
Pairing: Snape x Reader (x Siruis? (it's a love triangle but mainly between reader and Snape))
Word Count: 2,233
Requested by Anon
"Hi i like your writing. Can you write a love triangle between severus, reader and sirius. She’s bestfriend with sirius but he loves her. But she likes severus and he has feelings for her. Something like that :)"
Warnings: Sirius and Severus physically fighting
A/N: I wrote this, rewrote and edited this too many times. I don't know why I had such a hard time writing this but I tried my best. I really hope it's to your liking and I'm sorry if it's not good. I'm also really bad at naming fics XD
"Plleeeaaassssseeee. I'll buy you anything you want off the trolley; I'll do your Herbology homework for the whole year; I'll buy you your favorite sweet from Honeydukes every time we visit Hogsmeade. I'm begging you (Y/N). Please" You look down before you at a begging Sirius Black, on his knees, pleading you to be his potions partner for the year. You haven't even reached Hogwarts and your best friend Sirius was already asking you for something.
You loved Sirius, he is your best friend at Hogwarts, but you had a plan for this year and Sirius was not about to cock block you. You've formulated a simple plan that would result in you spending more time with friend and life long crush, Severus Snape. You were both very skilled at potions so you decided; this year you would gather up the courage to ask him to be your potions partner. You nervously glanced over into the cart next to yours. Severus was sitting there, reading alone. You looked back at Sirius "No, not this year. I already have a partner." You lied. Sirius groaned and stood up from the floor. "We literally just got back from summer break. How could you possible have a partner already?" You shrugged your shoulders. He crossed his arms and narrowed his eyes at you. "Who is it?" He interrogated. You looked at him and shrugged your shoulders, holding in a smile. "Wow, (Y/N). Keeping secrets from your best friend now are we?" Sirius pressed on. His eyes glanced around and stopped when they landed on the raven haired boy in the cart over. Sirius drew conclusions and mentally crossed his fingers hoping he was wrong. "Is it Snivellus?" He asked. Without thinking, you nodded. Sirius pressed his lips together tightly as he felt his stomach burn with jealousy. "Ah, I see." He nodded and sat down next to you.
Sirius had a crush on you ever since he met you at Hogwarts. He felt differently about you than any other girl. When you two became close friends, he tried to repress his feelings for you by dating and hooking up with different girls, not wanting to ruin his friendship with you. None of them could make his heart beat the way you did. Once he finally admitted to himself he was in love with you, he stopped sleeping around. He wanted to put an end to his reputation before it ruined any chance he had with you. Even when he was dating, Sirius always put you above his girlfriend. He just couldn't help it. He also couldn't help the feeling of jealousy that took over him whenever he saw you talking to a guy. Especially Severus.
The silence between the two of you was broken when an older lady opened the door. "Something off the trolley, dearies?" the woman asked, gesturing toward a cart full of sweets asked. Sirius fished out two galleons from his pocket and handed them to the lady "Yea, two chocolate frogs please." Once Sirius had the chocolate frogs he handed one to you. You looked at him "You know I'm not going to be your potions partner this year. Right?" Sirius giggled "Can't a guy get his best friend a sweet with no motive? What kind of selfish person do you take me for?" He asked as he held his heart, pretending to be offended. You giggled as you both opened your frogs. They jumped out of the box and leaped across the cart. You both frantically ran around the cart after them.
Severus looked up from his book, hearing commotion from the cart over. He watched you and Sirius giggle and smile as you chased two chocolate frogs around the cart. His mind spun with questions.' Why does she even hang out with him? Did something happen between the two of you over the summer break? Was he too late?' All summer, Severus busied himself making a plan to ask you out this year. He was in love with you ever since you were both first years. He loved everything about you, except how close you were with Sirius. This year was supposed to be his year. How could it be ruined before it even began?
The next day, all of the students and teachers scrambled around to get settled. Once you were settled, you made your way to the top of the astronomy tower. Nobody ever went there but you and Severus and every year you both made sure it stayed that way. You and Severus both enjoyed solidarity at times. Whenever you were stressed out, needed a quiet place to study, or just a place to be alone you headed up to this little abandoned room that you and Severus discovered while exploring the tower one day. When you reached the abandoned room, you were immediately greeted by Severus. "Ready?" he asked, not being able to hold back the smile that threatened his lips every time you were around. You smiled back and nodded your head. You both turned toward the door and began enchanting the it so it would only open to the two of you.
Once you were both finished, you turned to Severus, ready to ask him the question you've rehearsed over and over again. Before you could open your mouth, Severus began "So I was looking over the schedule and couldn't help but notice we are in the same potions class. Would you want to be my potions partner?" You couldn't stop the wide smiling from growing on your face. "I would like that." Severus blushed every so slightly and looked at the floor, trying to hide it. "Fantastic." he whispered as he smiled to himself. You both walked back to your dormitories, counting down the hours until your first potions class.
When your first potions class came around, you arrived a few minutes early. You were doodling on parchment when you sensed someone sitting down next to you. You looked up to see Severus. He smiled at you. "Good morning, partner." You smiled back at him, "Good morning, Severus." The students started filling in. When Sirius entered the room, he frowned seeing you giggling at something Severus said. He made his way to sit next to his friend James. James followed Sirius' eyes to see he was glaring in your direction. James laughed "You got it bad for her, mate." Sirius directed his attention to James and sat down. "we have to do something about it." Siruis grumbled. "I get you like her and all but she's still your best friend. Also- I'm not getting involved" James replied. "Why? We pull pranks on Snivellus all the time!" Sirius exclaimed. James shook his head "Those are different. (Y/N) is to close to this one." Siruis groaned put his head down on the desk, trying to ignore your giggles. "Fine, I don't need your help anyway. I already have a plan." James looked down at Sirius and raised an eyebrow out of curiosity. Sirius looked up at him with a wicked smirk plastered across his face.
Potions class could have not gone any better. You and Severus had so much synergy. You worked together with such diligence, only bumping into each other once as you both reached to stir the cauldron at the same time. You worked silently and peacefully, stealing glances at each other from time to time. You both finished the potion way before anyone else in the class did. Professor Slughorn checked your potion in disbelief. "Wow, this is phenomenal work you two. Looks like we have a potions power couple on our hands." You and Severus blushed a deep red at his words. "T-thanks professor" you both stuttered out. Sirius was in earshot of the professor's comment and his blood began to boil. 'Tomorrow' Sirius thought to himself.
The next day, Severus decided to check up on the room in the astronomy tower. Severus was soon interrupted by an out of breath Sirius. "Severus, (Y/N) is in trouble. No time to explain. She keeps calling your name. Come! Quick!" Severus immediately ran after Sirius. He was immensely worried about you and feared the worst. Sirius led Severus to the Whomping Willow. Severus looked around for you. "(Y/N)?" He called out. He didn't see or hear you. Sirius gave Severus a strong push forward and he fell right under the Willow. The branches wound up and went to slam down on Severus. Severus was quick on his feet and scrambled away from it. "What the hell, Sirius?!?" Severus shouted. He charged toward Sirius and the two started to fight. Rolling on the ground, fists flying all over the place. "(Y/N) isn't even here, is she?" Severus asked as he had Sirius pinned to the ground. Sirius struggled "No but I'd rather her be anywhere than with you." Sirius spat out. "I don't know why she would even talk to a grease ball like you." Severus finally figured it out. "You're just jealous she'd rather be with me than with you." Severus laughed. Sirius took this moment to swing at Severus. "You don't know that. I've been her best friend for longer than you've known her. So I suggest you back away before things get worse for you." Severus tried not to swing back as he replied "That doesn't mean anything. You'll hookup with any female who has a pulse. (Y/N) deserves better than that." Sirius lost all control. At his point, James saw the fight and started running toward the two of you. A couple of other nearby students also formed a bit of a crowd. Seeing the crowd, Madame Hootch came running. She saw Severus laying on the ground and Sirius on top of him, fist cocked backward and aimed at Severus. "MR. BLACK. DETENTION." She shouted as she pulled both boys up. She let Severus go and told him to go to the hospital wing if he needed. She pulled Sirius by the arm all the way to the detention room.
Severus made his way inside. He knew his time was running out. If he didn't tell you about this feelings soon he might actually lose you to Sirius. He could not let the amazing glowing flower you are end up with some womanizer like Sirius who would never be able to see how perfect you are. He was pulled from his thoughts when he heard hurried footsteps coming toward him. He looked up and saw you running toward him. You put your hands on his cheeks and began investigating the damage as you caught your breath. "Severus. Are you okay? Someone told me you and Sirius got into a fight and I tried to come as quick as I could. What even happened? Do you want me to take you to the hospital wing?" You asked without taking a breath. Severus smiled at the concern you expressed for him. It made his heart flutter. "I'm okay." Severus replied calmly. Severus couldn't take his eyes off of you. The concern in your face as you gently picked the grass out of his hair and carefully brushed the dirt off of his face with your thumb. After a bit, you noticed him staring at you. You stopped your actions and stared back. Severus felt a butterflies in his stomach. This was the moment. "(Y/N)" he whispered as he removed one of your hands from his face, holding it with both of his hands. You felt a light blush grow on your cheeks. "Yes?" you asked. Severus took a deep breath, ready to give the speech he has been rehearsing all summer long. "(Y/N), I've had the honor of being your friend since our first year here and I've done nothing but cherish every second of it. I think you're the most stunning person both inside and out and I feel like I don't have to put on a front when I'm around you. You really can't blame me for falling in love." Severus paused and took a deep breath. "So, with that said." Severus dropped down on one knee, still holding your hand. "Will you go to Hogsmeade with me? I know the first trip to Hogsmeade isn't for a while but when it does come around, I'd really like to take you on a proper date." You giggled at his rambling. You felt his palms become sweaty and you could truly see how nervous he was. "I would love that." you replied as you pulled him to his feet and into a hug. Feeling bold, you kissed his cheek. He winced. You quickly released him and backed away, thinking you were being too forward. Severus held the spot you kissed with one hand. When he took his hand away, you realized you kissed a cut on his cheek. "Let's get you to the hospital wing." You said as you took his hand and led him away.
Sirius rushed out of detention, sprinting down the hallways looking for you. Severus had too much time alone with you. He probably won your sympathy and attention. He ran with an exaggerated limp in case you saw him. When he did see you, he stopped in his tracks. He couldn't believe his eyes. You and Severus, walking hand in hand, smiling as you rested your head on his shoulder. Sirius' heart sank. He was too late…
A/N: I hope you liked it!

Lee Daehwi - Gift (Valentine’s Series 2/11)
Genre: Fluff
Series: [ Jihoon ] [ Daehwi ] [ Guanlin ] [ Minhyun ] [ Woojin ] [ Jinyoung ] [Sungwoon ] [ Jaehwan ] [ Jisung ] [ Seongwoo ] [ Daniel ]
Note: Yesterday was Jihoon’s Valentine’s Scenario, and today is Daehwi’s! Does anyone else remember those silly little Valentine’s cards you’d get as kids? With the cheesy little sayings and usually a cartoon character on them? Or is it just cuz I’m old that I remember those? XD Anyway, I hope that this is okay and not too rushed. I was really struggling with this one last night and I wasn’t sure if it turned out okay. I hope that everyone still likes it ^^ Please enjoy and look forward to tomorrow’s as well! :D
- goodnightkisseu’s admin <3
Footsteps shuffled quickly around the small home as you made sure that you had everything you needed for the day. You had your school books, your lunch, and also a bag full of little Valentine’s chocolates that you had put together for your classmates. It wasn’t required or anything, but you thought it would be nice to give everyone a little something today. After all, it could get a little lonely and sad if a person didn’t receive something, so why not try to brighten up their day a bit?
In addition to these little packets of candy, you also made one, super special, for your longtime friend, Daehwi. And his gift was packaged a little differently than everyone else’s. Whereas your classmates were getting little clear bags full of chocolates, Daehwi’s had a little more. His gift was wrapped in a red bag, tied off with a pretty ribbon. Inside were some chocolates as well as some homemade brownies that you had made with extra chocolate. In addition, there was also a silly little card.
It was a lot like one of those little premade Valentine’s that you used to get as kids, sealed closed with a sticker and maybe with some candy attached to it. It had been a long running tradition between you and Daehwi to get each other one of these silly cards after you both, coincidentally, gave each other the same Pokemon Valentine’s card years ago. It had a picture of an Exeggcute on it and it read, ‘Hope your Valentine’s Day is EGGcellent.’ It was silly then, and it was silly now, but it was fun. Daehwi had given you some pretty quality ones over the year and you still had them all saved in a box at home.
This year you both decided to circle back to the Pokemon theme because it seemed appropriate. Thing was, they didn’t really make those silly cards anymore so you had to make your own this year. Tucked in his gift with all of the other little goodies was a folded and sealed card. On the inside of that card was a picture of a Happiny, the message reading, ‘You make me Happiny!’ Again, it was silly, but it was just right for the two of you.
But this year’s gift also had something extra included. Inside the bag was a letter, a letter that confessed to Daehwi how much you liked him. You honestly weren’t really a big fan of telling someone in letter form, but you had been unsuccessful in actually doing it in person. You couldn’t say when you started to feel this way for Daehwi, but it had happened. And every time you tried to tell him, when he would walk you home or when you were out getting dinner together, you just couldn’t.
You had asked for advice from some of your other friends, and all Guanlin told you to do was just tell him. When you said that wasn’t possible and after pestering you for half an hour as to why, he gave up and just told you to write Daehwi a letter. You didn’t get why he was so exasperated over your inability to tell Daehwi in person. It wasn’t like Guanlin was able to confess to the girl he liked either.
Still, you decided to give it a shot. The worse Daehwi could do was tell you that he wasn’t interested. And though that would kind of suck, it wasn’t the end of the world, as long as the two of you could still be friends. So you left the house that morning in hopes of something good, but you weren’t holding your breath for it. This was a drama, right?
That day you walked to school on your own, your usual companion left early for his club activities that morning. Since today’s gift was a special one, you decided to drop Daehwi’s gift off right when you go there. Usually you would wait to give him his gift when the two of you did your exchange after school, but today… it felt right to change things up. You knew that a majority of Daehwi’s classmates usually got in just before class started and that you could sneak in and out of the room without being noticed, so that was a bonus for you as well.
However, when you entered his classroom and approached his desk, you were a bit surprised to see it already covered in gifts. Nicely wrapped boxes with beautiful red bows and decorations. Cute stuffed animals and what looked like gourmet sweets. You knew that Daehwi was popular amongst the female population at your school. He was extremely sweet and kind, but this was… this was more than you had expected. All of a sudden your silly little card and homemade goods didn’t seem so special anymore.
Your name being called pulled you out of your thoughts as one of Daehwi’s classmates greeted you. “He got a lot this year, huh. Usually his desk isn’t overflowing like this. Are you here to drop off your present from Daehwi too?” he teased, catching a glimpse of the small pouch in your hands.
You quickly slid it back into your open bag, not having the heart to leave your present amongst all of Daehwi’s other gifts. “N-no, I actually came here looking for Daehwi. I thought he would be done with his club activities by now,” you lied.
“You’re a little early, but I’ll let him know you stopped by,” the male replied and you thanked him, handing him one of the little bags of candy that you had put together before swiftly exiting the room. You headed to your own class with a heavy heart, handing out the remainder of your gifts, trying to take your mind off of all the gifts that Daehwi got…
========
“Hey, were you thinking of leaving without me or something?” Daehwi asked when he finally caught up to you.
Usually you would wait for him at the gate so that the two of you could leave together, but today, you really just weren’t feeling it. The more you thought about how lame your gift looked compared to those other ones, the more disheartened you felt. Sure, homemade things had their charm, but they couldn’t compete with expensive chocolates and expensive presents. You felt a bit off, so you wanted to head home right after school. It did not seem like your friend was going to let you though. “Sorry, was just kind of distracted I guess…” you replied cryptically, being met with a pout from your friend.
“I know what will make you feel better,” he said, grabbing your hand and pulling you down the street to your favorite ice cream shop. Daehwi knew you well enough to know that ice cream from this place, mostly when your mood was low, always seemed to help. “Let’s get some ice cream and then do our Valentine’s exchange!” he said happily, not giving you any time to disagree as he jumped in line and ordered for the both of you. He then proceeded to pay, not giving you any time to object to the free ice cream. “It’s on me today. You’ll get the next one.”
You rolled your eyes at him. He said that every time the two of you came to this ice cream shop and every time he paid. Like you were ever going to pay when he was this overeager for ice cream.
Once you both got your ice cream cones, you took a seat at one of the tables, your eyes catching a glimpse at the large bag that Daehwi had put down, full of all of those gifts from those girls. You started to feel that feeling again. That uncomfortable feeling in the depths of your stomach.
“I’ll go first! Here!” Daehwi said enthusiastically as he pulled out a small, red box that had a thin black ribbon wrapped around it. Daehwi watched eagerly as you opened it, revealing a small pouch of those heart-shaped candies, and some heart-shaped chocolates. Sitting on top of it all was a folded card, complete with a sticker seal. You slowly opened it, giggling when you saw a picture of a Treecko with the words, ‘I’ll never leaf you!’ at the top. “Daehwi, it’s cute,” you said, still giggling. He really did know how to make you feel better. You weren’t sure if this was intentional or not, but it managed to lift your sprits a bit.
“I know that you said that you were getting kind of tired of those candy hearts, so this year I decided to do less of those and more chocolates. You really liked these ones last time, right?” he asked, picking up one of the heart-shaped chocolates as you nodded. “So, where’s mine? I’m excited to see it.”
As soon as he asked, he could see your expression change. Every year you were always so excited to exchange Valentine’s, but he couldn’t help but notice that this year felt a little different. “Hey, is something wrong? Why do you look so sad all of a sudden,” he asked, his tone full of concern. It really wasn’t like you, and he was worried.
“It’s not that. It’s just… well you’ve gotten some really good gifts this year. Mine seems super lame in comparison…” you confessed, knowing that if you didn’t know say it that Daehwi would bug you about it until you told him. He had gotten really good at interrogating you for information over the years.
Daehwi looked up at you as he took a bite from his ice cream. “Oh…” he said slowly, looking down at the bag at his side. He did get a lot of gifts this year. Most years he was able to shove them all into his bag, but this year… not so much. He didn’t know that they bothered you so much though, and if he had he would have just brought them home another time. “I mean, these gifts are nice, and these girls put a lot of thought into them, I’m sure, but I know that you put even more thought into yours. You don’t have to give it to me, but I do look forward to yours every year…” he admitted sincerely.
“R-really?”
Daehwi nodded. “Yours always feels extra special because we have this tradition going on, you know? Plus you make a lot of it by hand and I really like that,” he said with a smile. “So if it’s okay, could I get my Valentine?”
You gave a small nod as you reached into your bag, pulling out the small parcel, cradling it in your hands as you presented it in front of Daehwi. “Thank you,” he said softly as he pulled at the ribbon to unveil a small bag of chocolates, a bag of brownies, and a card, which he was quick to open. A smile spread on his features as he read it. “Let me tell you something, just between us,” he said, his voice dropping to a whisper. “You also make me Happiny,” he said cheekily as he gave your cheek a poke. He watched as you laughed at his silliness, happy that he got you to laugh.
With a smile on his own features, Daehwi was about to go back to his ice cream when something else caught his eye. Underneath the chocolate was a letter. “What’s this?” he asked, pulling the letter out from under the bags. He was about to open it when you reached over and stopped him. “What’s wrong?” “Y-you shouldn’t read that…” you stuttered, completely forgetting in the fun that you having that you wrote him a letter confessing how you felt.
“Why not? It’s for me isn’t it? Why wouldn’t you want me to read a letter that’s for me? Unless…” he gasped. “Is this a letter to say you want to stop our tradition?!”
“No, Daehwi it’s not that it’s… it’s embarrassing what it is, so please don’t read it…”
“Okay…but then why don’t you just tell me what it is then. If it’s too embarrassing to read, you can tell me, right? We’re friends…” he reasoned.
You were at a loss of what to do. If he read it, he would get the sappy version of what you wanted to tell him. It was the reason you wanted to drop it off this morning instead of giving it to him when you were together. How could you know that some other girl hadn’t confessed to him yet, some girl that he might have liked? Yet not telling him wasn’t an option either. Daehwi was going to get suspicious. So what were you to do?
After a bit of silence, you gave a small nod. “I’ll tell you, but no making fun of me, okay?” He nodded eagerly, wanting to clear up this new tension that had formed between the two of you. “I like you…”
“I like you too.” he said.
“No, not like that. Daehwi, I really like you,” you said earnestly, thinking that your friend was just being nice to you.
“I know, and I really like you too, you silly girl,” he said with a chuckle, waiting for you to realize exactly what he was saying. He had realized how he felt about you for a few months now, but he didn’t want to jump too far forward. He wanted you to realize it too, and he wanted to make sure that the situation wasn’t one of those awkward confessions.
“Y-you do?” you asked, a bit surprised.
He nodded, reaching for your hand. “I wanted to wait for you to say something because I didn’t want to burden you with my own confession. I figured that once you did, I would just tell you as well. Just so that we both know, instead of playing that cat and mouse game. I do like you a lot. I’m not lying or just saying those words…”
“It took us a little bit, huh…” you said sheepishly.
“Yeah, but now we know. And now I’m going to read your letter!” he said happily.
“Yah, Lee Daehwi, you promised me you wouldn’t read it!” you said with a pout.
“I promised my friend that I wouldn’t read it. I didn’t promise my new girlfriend that I wouldn’t read it. I want to see all of the nice things she wrote about me~” he said in a sing song tone as he picked up the letter with a giant grin on his features.
You made a move to grab it back from him, but he was too fast for you, already on his feet and running out of the ice cream shop, with you not far behind your boyfriend…

Long Live the King - (Ardyn Izunia x Reader) Ch.1
I finally finished the first (technically second) chapter! ^_^
First off, I want to say thank you to everyone who liked/reblogged/read this story, I was amazed at the responses I got. Second, even though I am writing this story, the prompt was @maty-yami idea, so be sure to thank her and send her some love too. Also, I am sorry if this chapter seems a little messy, as I am writing this at an ungodly hour XD
Anyway, let’s get this started!
Your head felt heavy as you slowly opened your eyes. Sunlight flittered through the window to your left as a light breeze blew the sheer curtains hanging beside it. As the fog cleared away from your mind you willed your arms to move, managing to clench your hand against soft cotton. Where were you? And was the one who brought you here to be branded a friend or foe?
“I see you are awake,” a deep voice spoke.
Slowly turning your head to the doorway, you took a moment to observe your visitors. A middle aged man stood before you with another man standing behind, their clothing suggesting the possession of influence. He wore a tailored black suit with a indigo vest and blue scarf; completed with a navy over-coat that came to his knees. His hair was a dark grey, matching that of his full beard and he carried himself with the air of a man of station. Though his intimidating appearance slowly diminished as he gave you a kind smile.
The second man reminded you much of Gilgamesh, his stoic expression betraying none of his thoughts as he kept his gaze focused on you. His appearance screamed that of a man of strength, the katana at his hip clearly not a mere piece of decoration. The man kept his eyes focused on you with his hand hovering near his weapon, ready to unleash it’s wrath upon you should anything occur.
“You have managed to cause quite a stir when my son found you in the lake this morning.” The bearded man chuckled, coming to sit in the chair beside the bed you laid in.
“I am sorry…” you croaked out, your voice raspy and soft from lack of use. “It was not my intention to cause trouble...”
“There is no need for apologizes, no lasting harm has occurred. Though I am curious as how you managed to enter the Citadel undetected.”
“I’ve always lived within the Citadel.”
The two men frowned in confusion at your answer, sharing a look that made you rather nervous. “Miss, no one has ever seen you before until today. Please answer our questions honestly.” The standing man spoke, his pale blue eyes hardening into ice chips at your response.
“I do not understand….I’ve lived here all my life…” You spoke, your voice changing pitch as panic began to settle in your stomach.
“Please calm down, Miss; we just want to know who you are and how you came here.” The bearded man said in an attempt to soothe your nerves.
“No, I-I don’t know you! Leave me alone!”
You shoved the man aside and out of his chair, taking him and his guard both by surprise before running for the exit. Yanking open the door you ran out into the corridor, causing the servants you passed to shout in shock. Blindly you ran through the corridors with the sound of boots echoing behind you, trying to escape whatever mad fantasy you had fallen into. You came to a halt when the shouting of what seemed like guardsman came from the front while footsteps came from behind. Immediately you turned right and bolted down the corridor toward the light that shone at the end as fear pumped your feet to move faster. The sudden exposure of sunlight caused you to wince, raising your arm to shade your vision as your eyes adjusted. You tried to catch your breath and paused; recognizing the scent of fresh grass and flowers.
You were within the Royal Garden, the place you had so often tended to with your father. Where your beloved knelt before you to ask for your hand in marriage. It all looked as before; cherry blossom trees surrounding the lake with the bridge, gazebo with roses twisted all around, even the gardenias you’re your father had planted when you were a child. And yet…you could not help but stare in wonder and horror at the city skyline that the garden overlooked.
Buildings as far as the eye could see, some even taller than the Statues of the Old Wall, no longer made of stone but metal and glass. Long, winding bridges flowed through the city like rivers of black water while large metal boxes upon wheels moved like salmon up a stream. Above your head you saw the tell-tale shimmer of a magic-barrier, encasing the entire metropolis within it. You fell to your knees at the sight, staring in disbelief at the appearance of the Crown-City. What happened to your home? What was going on?! You felt as if the world was crumbling beneath your feet as you tugged at your hair in a panic, wishing with all your might for someone to save....
“Hey, it’s you.”
The voice startled you out of your mental breakdown, causing you to turn around to the source of the voice. Behind you stood a young black-haired boy, dressed head-to-toe in black, gazing at you curiously. “Are you okay Miss? When we saw you floating in the lake, we thought you had drowned.”
“Yes….I am fine. And I believe it is you who I owe my life.” You gave a small, shaky smile to the young boy, bowing your head in gratitude, “thank you.”
“Er, your welcome.” The boy said, a slight blush dusting his pale face. “So, what’s your name?”
“….(f/n). May I…ask what your name is?”
“Noctis, but you can call me Noct.” The boy cocked his head to the side as he stared at you, “how did you end up in the lake?”
“I am not sure. I remember…ice….and a cold chill. Then darkness….”
Noctis frowned at your words, “that sounds weird.”
“Yes, I’m suppose it does,” you laughed, his innocence feeling like a breath of fresh air. “But…it is all I have. And that will have to due for now.”
“Noctis!”
You both turned to see the beard man who had spoke to you earlier alongside the katana wielding soldier and another bald man, both glaring at you with hardened eyes. The bearded man kept the kind smile on his face, but his tense posture spoke volumes of his emotional state. “Noctis, I see you have found our…guest.”
“Yeah, I wanted to show her the gardens,” the black-haired boy spoke. His excuse was a poor one, but it caused you to smile nonetheless.
“That is rather kind of you. But I must speak with our guest privately now. Will you please excuse us?”
The boy nodded before tossing you a smile. “Bye (f/n)! I’ll see you later!”
You waved a silent farewell to Noctis as a maid ushered him away from the gardens, leaving you alone with the three men. The tension was so thick it could be sliced with a knife, making the serene garden seem more like a blood-covered battleground. You turned to look at the three men before you, the tears falling from your eyes taking them by surprise.
“I believe you had some questions.”
“I see…so you are as much in the dark as we are.” Regis sighed, resting his chin upon his laced fingers.
You nodded, refusing to meet anyone’s gaze and instead focusing upon the edge of the grand, oak desk sitting before you. Cor, the man with the katana, had his eyes closed in thought while Clarus, the bald man, kept a neutral face though his eyes shot you a look of pity.
“I am sorry I could not help you,” you mumbled softly.
“It is I who should apologize to you, Miss (f/n). It was our intention to help you, not submit you to a prison interrogation.”
“Yet you choose to tend to my wounds instead of tossing me within your dungeon. For that, you have my eternal gratitude, King Regis.”
Regis gave you a small smile, “your most welcome (f/n). Though with the gaps in your memory being present, there remains the situation regarding your livelihood.”
Though it was only a partial lie, you felt horrible about saying it to the very people who saved your life. Yet there was so much you did not understand, and explaining it to someone would only worsen your situation. No, you had to first discover the truth for yourself, if only for the time-being. “I will take any job you have, so long as I have room and board,” you pleaded.
“Your Majesty…the Kingsglaive is still recruiting members.” Cor spoke for the first time since the start of the meeting. “Perhaps we could send Miss (f/n) there.”
“That’s a rather serious occupation,” Clarus added.
“It will be no trouble to me. I can do it.”
Your answer was said with such conviction, even Cor raised an eyebrow in surprise. The three men all shared a look before turning to face you once more.
“Very well then; welcome to the Kingsglaive Miss (f/n).”
The sound of music echoed around all around as he walked through the familiar garden, like an alluring call to weary travelers. You sat perched upon the same bench, beneath the gazebo of white roses, ocarina pressed to your lips. Beside you sat the small cradle where your son laughed at the cheerful notes you let dance around the air. Glancing upward you smiled, the very sight taking his very breathe away.
“My love, you’ve returned!” holding out your arms you moved to embrace him, allowing Ardyn to bury his nose within your (h/c) hair.
“Yes my dear, I have come home….”
“But I’m afraid your too late.” You spoke, moving away to show the dagger that was imbedded in your heart, blood pouring down your dress. “You could not protect us…”
Ardyn backed away from you in horror as the once beautiful garden transformed into a decaying ruin. He stared at your body lying upon the floor with the corpse of your son as he fell to his knees, black tears falling from golden eyes. “No! Don’t leave me! Don’t take her too, please! Stop, stop, STOP!”
Ardyn’s eyes snapped open immediately, sitting up right as sweat-drenched sheets pooled around his waist. He rubbed a hand down his face in exhaustion, sleep alluding him once more. Once more he dreamed of you, the sweet music you once played a light within the shadows of his mind. Yet the fantasy never lasted long when the nightmare revealed itself. Oh, how he missed you, his beloved Queen. The suffering you and your innocent child had endured at the hand of those accursed gods…they will pay.
“I will avenge you my nymph, I swear it.” Ardyn snarled as black tears fell from his eyes.
And that is the end of chapter one! I hope you guys enjoyed it and I will start on the next chapter as fast as I can. Take care everyone and have a good night! ^_^
