wait i'm new here why does everyone think something happened in india
hi! welcome! everyone is mostly speculating but there’s a few things we know abt the india trip/specifically the aftermath of it that leads us to know that something went down (regardless of whether or not there were romantic/sexual undertones to it):
long story short, paul left india early with jane asher, his fiancé at the time, and john stayed. john was notably deeply depressed and suicidal at the time of the trip as well. and things were reportedly never the same between them.
there are quotations from geoff emerick about how the lads were fundamentally different after india and, though they wouldn’t speak about it, he got the idea that something had happened that changed things within the group and made those relationships icy.
there’s also a scene in get back where john and paul are speaking about india when john mentions “what were we doing… who was writing all those songs in your room” and then mimes fellatio to a microphone 😭
michael gerber wrote at hey dullblog this which i think summarises fans’ questions/theories about what happened between them nicely:
“Sometimes I think the inciting incident was something external, something private that happened in the world—John and Paul started having sex, or stopped, or talked about it, or stopped talking about it; perhaps something powerful happened inside the friendship at the core of the Beatles. One of them said or did something, and the other guy got mad, or felt betrayed, or something.”
honestly i can’t do all the elements at play justice as well as other people can but i would HIGHLY recommend listening to another kind of mind’s pizza and fairytales series which focuses on john and paul’s relationship in the 70s and what led up to all of this, as well as their sexualities and john’s mental health issues. episode 4 discusses the india trip and theorises what went down in a very thoughtful and comprehensive way :))
(and this is the article that quotation comes from, it’s just one opinion tbh but it’s an interesting take)
#sorry this is kind of long 😭 the lore goes so deep and i could have gone on longer but i had to reign it in at some point#and there are others who are far better about citing sources and painting the picture#there are so many theories about what happened and i have my own opinions on it as well but it’s extremely interesting to look into#and truthfully we will probably never really know what happened#john lennon#paul mccartney#mclennon#the beatles#what happened in india

CBS Ghosts Reviews: A Traveling Agent
I found the penultimate episode of this season to be delightful. Pete discovering his super awesome power completely on accident (I agree with Alberta that he got his power because he was a travel agent who never traveled and here's his chance now, but I also think it's fun that they gave one of the most practical ghosts one of the most practical and useful powers.) And plus, Isaac and Nigel had the perfect shocked looks when Pete went over the ghost boundary.
As I said before, I applaud the writers for trying to give us Pete and Jay bonding time, but it was obvious that Jay would lose him, although through no fault of his own since he has no way to see or communicate with Pete the way Sam can, and for Pete's first trip, the three of them should have gone and worked out a system if possible for Jay to be able to see or otherwise communicate with Pete away from Sam.
However, Jay's descriptions of where he went after he left Pete were just SO Jay and SO funny (especially Sas and Hetty's different reactions to hearing about all the fast food Jay is consuming, *especially* Hetty's "You are a *chef*, sir!") I also loved how Pete not wanting to go on errands with Jay reminded her of her butler not wanting to go out during the consumption outbreak of '84. They gave her some funny lines in this episode!) Also, Sas saying that all the fast food means Jay is living his best life definitely puts him in position as Pete's second ghost friend and I would like to see more development of this relationship in the future.)
I always love to be taken to new places and see what sorts of ghosts are outside of Woodstone and I think the deal mart or whatever they called it did not disappoint. I *love* that they had trampled Black Friday shoppers as ghosts, who seemed like really lovely people on top of it. That poor woman has to carry the tv around for all time now but let it be a lesson to her. And I love the guy's ghost power to make people forget why they were in aisles.
Deal Mart after Dark was intense, and was I surprised that they actually gave us a ghost with a Cleaver in his brain like something out of Ghost Whisperer or the Sixth Sense? Yes I was, and no wonder Pete was terrified. I would have been too. Especially since at first I thought they would be nice like the fish in the tank in Finding Nemo but...nope. Thank goodness for Gloria and her TV holding them off.
I was a little worried for him when he was out there in the dark but as Hetty says, he has a good sense of direction and other skills from scouting that got him home, so that's good. (I wonder how he doesn't know who Barack Obama and Eli Manning are, though. I realize he died in '85 and has never left the mansion since but I'm sure Sam's had the TV on or that it's just generally been on with them talked about on it. Or not? Or did he just not pay attention? Curious thing.)
Loved seeing him mad when he finally got back because as someone who's a bit of a homebody, sometimes it DOES feel weird when I got out to somewhere other than work and it takes time to get acclimated in ways that more outgoing, outdoorsy people wouldn't understand. So I was glad to hear him say something. (I also loved him smelling the s'mores, that was funny.) And Sas' "Describe a bus" and Isaac describing a fire truck instead was just one of my favorite parts.
Also, making them all a throple was an interesting way to resolve Flower/Thor/Nancy and I'll be interested to see how their different personalities all play out, although I've lost faith in Thor being genuinely compelling in a romantic relationship and would much rather just see Flower and Nancy doing something but who knows what's gonna happen with that?
All in all a good episode, like I said, and now we have a wedding to prepare for next week (hopefully interrupted by Patience the Feral Puritan, please, please, please!) Also I really am nervous about the cliffie that Asher Grodman said we're gonna see. It's gonna be even more intense than the season two cliffie. I'm just gonna prepare to cry or be outraged. I don't know about the rest of you. Cheers!

NCIS is gearing up to ring in a special milestone with the April 15th episode as the franchise reaches 1,000 episodes overall. But how does it all break down? Below, we’re revealing how each of the current and former spinoffs contributed to the flagship’s upcoming installment.
Eddy Chen/CBS
NCIS (464 EPISODES)
Airdates: September 23, 2003–present
The Brief: “What makes NCIS so damn special?” That question is furiously put to Director Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll) by his estranged son, Jared (Spence D. Moore II), in the NCIS franchise’s 1,000th episode. Launched in 2003, NCIS has four spinoffs and two highly anticipated shows coming — NCIS: Origins and a Michael Weatherly–Cote de Pablo project nicknamed NCIS: Europe.
The younger Vance makes his query when the two cross paths at his mom’s gravesite. Vance’s wife was killed by terrorists in 2013, and Jared can’t comprehend why his dad is so dedicated to a job that put their family in danger.
Make that puts: Vance is soon in peril and the team under attack by an enemy from the past. “We’ve heard this baddie’s name before,” exec producer Steven D. Binder told us at a celebration on the set. “As in some of our better episodes, our people risk their lives for each other. We pay homage to the O.G. NCIS and the other series.”
Guest star alert: Assisting via satellite feed are Los Angeles agent Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah) and Hawai‘i boss Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey). The cavalry also includes a longtime NCIS ally, former FBI agent Tobias Fornell (Joe Spano).
In a scene we observed, forensic scientist Kasie (Diona Reasonover) reviews evidence with Torres (Wilmer Valderrama). Jared, desperate to help, has slept there overnight. “Kasie connects with Jared and becomes a mentor in a way,” Reasonover says.
Valderrama hints it all gets explosive, promising “a big, big set piece; all of us are involved.” And one agent does something new: “We see McGee in a position you’ve never seen him in in 20 years,” spills Sean Murray. Says Gary Cole, who plays team leader Alden Parker, “We witness some fragility of what this job entails, the obstacles that could pop up unexpectedly.”
Skip Bolen/CBS
NCIS: New Orleans (155 EPISODES)
Airdates: September 23, 2014–May 23, 2021
The Brief: The Big Easy’s brassy, buoyant spirit infused the franchise’s third title, shot memorably on location. In fact, lead Scott Bakula once told TV Guide Magazine about a great only-in-NOLA moment: “being in the middle of the Mississippi River, captaining a tugboat!” His honest boss Dwayne Pride was based on a real New Orleans lawman, retired naval investigator D’Wayne Swear, who served as a consultant.
Daniel Asher Smith/Paramount+
NCIS: Sydney (8 EPISODES)
Airdates: November 10, 2023–present
The Brief: “In Australia, everything can kill you,” executive producer Morgan O’Neill cracked to TV Guide Magazine when the Oz-set new kid on the block arrived last year. Down Under has proved plenty perilous for tough NCIS Special Agent Captain Michelle Mackey (Olivia Swann) and her savvy partner-in-crime-fighting, Australian Federal Police Sergeant JD Dempsey (Todd Lasance). After locking horns, the American and the Aussie warmed to each other. But all may be undone thanks to JD going rogue in the finale — crikey! Good news for fans left in suspense: Sydney was just renewed!
Karen Neal/CBS
NCIS: Hawai‘i (50 EPISODES)
Airdates: September 20, 2021–present
The Brief: NCIS said aloha to the franchises third offshoot and first female special agent in charge, hardworking divorced mom Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey), in 2021. “I feel like I’m in a movie: Platoon meets Jurassic Park,” Lachey told TV Guide Magazine at the time. Before shooting on lush Oahu began, production held a traditional Hawaiian blessing. The island culture has defined the series, with unique cases involving paniolos (Hawaiian cowboys) and Pearl Harbor survivors. Tennant’s team, a blend of mainland transplants and locals like surfer Kai Holman (Alex Tarrant), has welcomed other NCIS franchise agents for joint ops. And now L.A.’s Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) is on the island!
Ron P. Jaffe/CBS
NCIS: Los Angeles (323 EPISODES)
Airdates:September 22, 2009–May 21, 2023
The Brief: For a thrilling 14 seasons, the first spinoff’s Office of Special Projects hit the sunny streets of L.A. to chase down a rap sheet of baddies from Russian mobsters to psychotic serial killers — even an office mole. Under the management of no-nonsense Henrietta “Hetty” Lange (Linda Hunt), ex–Navy SEAL Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) and loner Grisha “G” Callen (Chris O’Donnell) were special agents with banter as quick as their draw. But both had endured pain: for Sam, a wife murdered by a terrorist; for G, a rocky childhood in foster care and a brutal secret program to train kids in spycraft.
Fans rooted for romance between team members Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah) and Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen), whose entertaining undercover missions included posing as cult members and suburban marrieds. The cast was equally tight. O’Donnell says, “The first day on set, the original NCIS cast came in. They were like a family. I remember looking at Dani and LL thinking, ‘Are we ever going to get as close?’ Sure enough, we did.”

Directed by: Dan Liu directed “Watch Over Me”, “If the Fates Allow” and “Love Kills”.

Jackson Ladd from “Of Value”; Duncan Campbell is back from “Best Seller” as Agent Castor; NFL star Tony Gonzales as Capt. Alonzo; Soraya Kelley as Zahra Mahmad; Marco Khan as Ahmad Mahmad; Asher Deva as Muhammad Hasan; Toktam Aboozary as Mina Mahmad; Eric Satterberg as Roger and Joshua Thomson as Jeremy.
Our heroes: Think a Navy Lieutenant is missing for a military reason but find out there is more to her disappearance.
What important things did we learn about: Callen: Can fix his jammed weapon in a hurry. Sam: Looks at the water to find some peace. Kensi: Thinks she can get her shot off before being surrounded. Deeks: Won’t get to Kensi in time. Fatima: Woman, life, freedom Rountree: Working to make sure Kilbride’s ass is not being chewed. Kilbride: Asked Col. Ladd for a favor.
What not so important things did we learn about: Callen: Thinks Sam is becoming Raymond. Sam: Not turning into Raymond. Kensi: Not getting the “Pretty Woman” references. Deeks: Fan of the kebobs. Fatima: Training with Akhil. Rountree: Working inside today. Kilbride: Brought Col. Ladd to the super-secret office.
Where in the world is Henrietta Lange? Not helping the Admiral today though Kensi thinks she might be.
Who's down with OTP: Deeks was more under control than usual when Kensi was in danger. Was happy as always to see her safe back in the office. Fatima is working through any feelings she may have for Akhil.
Who's down with BrOTP: Callen and Sam were perfectly Callen and Sam in the episode. Sam was a good friend/teammate/mentor to Fatima at the end of the episode. Kilbride and Col. Ladd are besties.
Fashion review: Callen wore a white and blue plaid button down shirt. Long sleeve tees for Sam (black) and Deeks (darker blue). Kensi wears a great long-sleeve pull-over sweater. She and Deeks wear dark rain jackets at the crime scene. Fatima starts the episode in workout gear – oversized light grey sweatshirt. Wears a spiffy brown leather jacket with a white turtleneck for the rest of the episode. Rountree had a green jacket with black pockets over a black tee. Kilbride was in his Kilbride uniform – medium blue three-piece suit, light blue dress shirt, red and blue tie. He donned a trench coat when visiting Col. Ladd.
Music: “Messenger” by Mamak Khadem plays at the end as Fatima is taking in her day.
Any notable cut scene: No.
Quote: Sam: “I’ve spent a lot of time staring out at this water, searching for answers.” Fatima: “Any tips? I'm coming up empty.” Sam: “You doing okay?” Fatima: “Physically? Yeah. Emotionally, mentally and spiritually? I don't know how to answer that.” Sam: “Well, you don't need to have the answers. Not right now.” Fatima: “I just...I keep thinking about all the women out there...not allowed to make their own life choices. What to wear. Who to marry. What they can and can't do with their own bodies. Freedom of thought, freedom of choice. Sam: “It's terrifying to some people.” Fatima: “It's not fair.” Sam: “The world will never be fair. But it could be better. Good things are happening. Even though it doesn't always feel like it.” Fatima: “I just wish they would happen faster.”
Anything else: The previously-s include a greatest hits package for Akhil Ali and Col. Ladd. Fatima wakes up in a car on fire, tied to the head rest. In the driver’s seat is in unconscious Kensi.
Eight hours earlier, Fatima is working out with Akhil with a trainer named Jeremy who is part of Herbie’s military training company. As Fatima walks away, Akhil asks how his training was going. Jeremy was impressed that Akhil stopped making squeaking sounds whenever he was grabbed.
Fatima tells Akhil that for his first self-defense class, he did better than expected. Fatima thinks he will be bringing down a suspected without breaking his nose no in time. Akhil is happy to spend this time with Fatima but maybe in the future they’d spend time together by taking a nice walk. The two make dinner plans.
Callen and Sam are in the armory discussing the use of armrests on a plane. Three seats, four armrests according to Sam. One passenger – in this case Sam – get the second armrest. “Simple math,” according to Sam. Callen thinks Sam bullies his way to that second seat rest. He also notices that Sam is worried. And Sam is. He’s going on a trip and leaving Raymond with his caretaker Constance. Callen notes that even Sam thinks things have never been better with Raymond now that Constance in the picture. Sam is going across the country to see Aiden. Callen suggests taking Raymond across the country – it would be a great trip for the Hanna men. Besides, if Sam is worried about Raymond he’s going to make everyone around him crazy and that’s the moment Sam becomes Raymond. Everyone is going to Ops – they have a case.
Fatima and Rountree start the debrief in Ops, Lt. Zahra Mahmad is a Navy submariner. For the last two years, she was working with a defense contractor in El Segundo. Her team was working on an anti-detection program for nuclear subs. Callen notes that sort of program could make her a target for any country interested in hiding their nuclear subs or finding America’s subs. According to Zahra’s CO, she left work early the day before for personal reason. She’s not answering calls or texts. It isn’t like her.
Sam points out that Zahra isn’t missing for even 24-hours yet. Maybe she’s off doing something and hasn’t had time to respond. Fatima agrees but with Zahra’s knowledge and security clearances, ONI wants her found. LAPD checked her home but nobody was there. Her parents live in Northridge, they own an Afghani restaurant. Fatima sees the menu is in Dari. Callen says he’s going to see Zahra’s CO when Rountree tells Callen that Kilbride as the CO going to the boat shed. Kilbride will do the interview. Callen and Sam instead will go to Zahra’s home. Fatima will go with Kensi and Deeks to the family’s restaurant. With Fatima speaking Dari, she could help. The parents could as well – they may know something that could lead to Zahra’s location.
At the boat shed, Kilbride dismisses Castor and speaks with Zahra’s CO, Captain Alonzo. Kilbride tells Alonzo that Vice Admiral Hunt thinks the world of him and Alonzo is properly humble. Kilbride know Alonzo’s background and thinks he’d work well at NCIS. The Office of Military Support has an opening and Alonzo would be perfect. Alonzo would consider the position.
Turning to Zahra, Alonzo said that he’s never worked with anyone at her level. One of the hardest workers he’s been around. And suddenly she’s missing, the Admiral notes, what is really going on. Zahra was part of a top secret mission, Alonzo’s hands are tied when it comes to discussing her work assignment. Kilbride is having none of that. The NCIS agents would be flying blind in their search for Zahra – “that’s how mistakes get made.” The Navy has a mission that they are going through no matter what happened to Zahra. Reading between the lines, the Navy has a secret mission using nuclear subs that if it is compromised, SEAL Team 2 will be going in instead – a suicide mission. NCIS has 12-hours to find Zahra or the SEALs are going in.
In Zahra’s home, the place is as neat as a pin. Callen finds a safe but their warrant won’t allow them to open the safe. Sam gets a text from Rountree. There was a suspicious activity report on Zahra’s bank account. She cashed out $20,000. Callen asked when was the last time Sam made a large cash transaction. He hasn’t – checks, bank wires, credit cards. More secure but much easier to trace. Callen thinks Zahra wanted to disappear – and maybe sell some secrets. Sam is going to get Rountree to expand the warrant to include the safe.
At the Mahmad’s restaurant, Deeks loves the smell of the place. Fatima pulls out a menu and starts making recommendations. Kensi sees Zahra’s mom. Walking up, Kensi pulls out her badge and starts asking questions. Zahra’s dad stops the one-way conversation. His wife’s cooking is a literal chef’s kiss but her English is not very good. Deeks explains he has the exact opposite problem. That earns him a chuckle from Zahra’s dad, Ahmad, and a glare from Kensi.
Kensi restarts her explanation, saying that Zahra is missing. Ahmad is stunned. The family last got together the previous Saturday. Zahra was her normal, happy self. Zahra’s mom, Mina, walks away crying. Kensi asks if Zahra seemed like she was in trouble but Ahmad says no. Mina is openly weeping. Deeks asks about Zahra’s brother. Ahmad says he is studying in London, working on his master’s degree. Fatima asks if the siblings are close. Ahmad says they are all close – family means everything to them. Mina asks Ahmad why are they asking questions about their son Omar.
Kensi asks if they know anyone who would know about Zahra. Ahmad says no, explaining that 30-years ago, their families left Afghanistan. Almost everyone went to Pakistan but Ahmad and Mina went to America to chase their dream – opening a restaurant, raising their children where they would be safe from violence. Fatima is getting weepy. Ahmad asks Kensi to find Zahra and bring her home to her family. Ahmad comforts his wife.
Leaving the restaurant, Fatima is sure that the brother is suspicious. Mina spoke to Ahmad about Omar when they were questioning Ahmad. Mina may not speak English but she understood what Kensi, Deeks and Fatima were saying. Deeks can’t understand why Mina would pretend she didn’t understand – her daughter is missing, NCIS is trying to find her. Fatima thinks as immigrants, the Mahmads may not trust law enforcement. Her parents had issues before Fatima joined NCIS, “and they live in Beverly Hills.” Kilbride wants them all back in Ops, Kensi is going to look into Omar.
While Callen is trying to crack Zahra’s safe, Sam is being cranky. Callen notes Raymond would be cranky too. Sam finds Zahra’s license, car registration and EZ-Pass in a jar on a book shelf. Zahra is traveling and doesn’t want to be found. Sam has Rountree check Kaleidoscope for Zahra’s car. Callen finally gets into the safe and finds some jewelry and family items. Also her passport. If Zahra was looking to get out of town, she’d take those things. Sam thinks maybe Zahra really was kidnapped. “Or she wants us to thinks she was,” Sam adds.
Rountree calls. Looking through Zahra’s phone, she mostly speaks to her parents but has had daily calls for the last seven months with a Ted Brown. Sam wonders if he’s a boyfriend but Zahra’s parents never mentioned a boyfriend, unless she was keeping things quiet until they got more serious. Rountree finds that Brown has a sealed juvie record and a lot of debt – credit cards and high interest college loans. The $20,000 could be for Brown or Brown could be extorting her.
An unhappy Kilbride walks into Ops. He just got his “ass chewed” by an under-secretary in the Navy. “I don’t like getting my ass chewed, makes it uncomfortable to sit.” He wants a sit-rep on Zahra. Rountree found her car – it has been in the shop since the weekend. She’s been using a loaner. That car is parked in a lot downtown. Kensi and Deeks are going to talk to Ted Brown. Kilbride wants answers before he has nothing left to sit on.
Walking to Ted Brown’s home, Deeks is stunned that Fatima’s parents were suspicious of the police and “they live in one of the wealthiest zip codes in America.” He’s worried about what Rosa will be dealing with. Kensi reminds him that while they won’t be there all the time for Rosa, they will be there and will help her. Ted Brown’s door is opened, obviously forced entry. Inside, Deeks finds a tortured but still alive Ted Brown.
In the garage, Sam finds a note in Zahra’s loaner that says “Roger 8 Broad”. Callen thinks 8 Broad could be 8th and Broadway, which is just a few blocks from the garage. There is a currency exchange on 8th and Broadway with some criminal times. With $20,000, Zahra could be in trouble. Sam thinks if a Roger works there, Roger has some explaining to do.
Walking up to Col. Ladd at an outdoor park’s lunch tables, Kilbride makes fun of the Colonel’s kombucha drink. Ladd is drinking it because it clears up the bad bacteria in his gut. The Admiral mentions prune juice doing the same job. Speaking of jobs, Kilbride asks how Ladd is doing with the Space Force. Ladd has no complaints except his title – “Director of Warfare Integration at the Space System Command” is a mouthful. Ladd is thrilled his new employer sees his head and his heart, not his right and left legs. The Admiral asks a favor – with Ladd getting his security clearance back, could he do some digging about the Navy’s secret mission. “I know you don’t owe me or your country any debt…” Ladd cuts Kilbride off – “what the hell do you need me to do?”
A crime scene tech gives Kensi Ted’s smashed cellphone. Ted is alive but in a coma. After dealing with a woman who wanted to braid Deeks’s hair, Deeks tells Kensi the woman saw an unfamiliar SUV in Ted’s driveway the prior day. Rountree is looking for security camera footage of the vehicle. Reviewing the case, Zahra could have been swept up by people who wanted their money back from debt-ridden Ted. Or someone was looking for Zahra and beat Ted up to try to get to her. There are photos in Ted’s home – Zahra and Ted are obviously in love.
At the currency exchange, Roger is working the desk. Callen and Sam show him a photo of Zahra, who he claims he’s never seen before. Sam asks to see the security cameras but Roger doesn’t have any. Callen points out a fake plant that has a camera, Sam a clock radio and an owl figurine that are likely cameras. Roger finds plants calming, even fakes ones. The clock radio and owl figurine are just décor. Callen explains that Zahra’s car is in the parking lot nearby where they found the address of the currency exchange’s location and Roger’s name written on a note. He's the last one to see her alive and the could be an accomplice to the kidnapping of a Naval Officer. Roger becomes a bit more helpful. Zahra was in about a week ago. He is a hawala broker on the side – someone who send money overseas without getting the government involved. This is illegal if he’s not registered (he’s not) and if he’s not telling the government about the exchanges (he’s not). Zahra was supposed to send some money to an account in Pakistan but never showed up.
Rountree found the SUV outside of Brown’s house – it was a rental from a small rental company that accepts cash and a now known fake ID. The bad guys picked up the SUV at the rental location so Rountree is checking Ubers and taxis dropping people off. Fatima found footage of Zahra being grabbed at the parking lot. It is the same SUV as the one parked outside of Brown’s house. She tells Callen and Sam the kidnappers wore masks and were well-armed. Zahra never had a chance.
In the gadget area, which has been woefully underused since Eric and Nell left for Japan, Kensi is trying to open Brown’s phone with no luck. Deeks stops by as she nearly drops it, calling the phone a “slippery little sucker”. Fatima joins in, recognizing the “Pretty Woman” reference. Kensi thinks she’s working with Siskel and Ebert and passes the phone to Deeks. Fatima found Zahra’s brother Omar, who is living in San Francisco, not London. And Omar hasn’t spoken to his parents in years. This contradicts Ahmad’s statement that the family is very close. Omar wasn’t really open about what was going on but Fatima tells them Ahmad and Mina believe in a strict adherence to the Koran. Omar said he was beaten as a child for being too Western. Kensi and Fatima decide to see Ahmad and Mina again, Deeks is going to try to get the sim card out of Brown’s phone.
In Ops, Rountree tells Deeks he’s found the SUV driver – Muhammad Hasan. Looking at his social media and online postings in the last year, Hasan has become a member of an Islamic military sect. Hasan has a flight out of LA today – whatever he’s in Los Angeles to do, it finishes today.
Rountree calls Callen and Sam to update them on Hasan. This may have nothing to do with her work in the Navy. Kilbride calls – it certainly has nothing to do with the secret Navy mission. The Navy is going to track Russian military activity in the Arctic – staging nuclear weapons. Zahra was part of the team making the US subs untraceable. She knew nothing about the mission in the Artic. Kilbride wants Zahra found now.
In the office, Deeks found that Ahmad his a hotel suite booked in Pakistan later this year for a wedding. A man named Bashir Khan is getting married and he’s getting married to Zahra. Khan is a wealthy man – could he be behind this? Sam doesn’t think so, Zahra’s parents wouldn’t allow her to marry a non-Muslim man. Instead, they put together an arranged marriage. Zahra’s $20,000 withdrawal may have been an attempt to buy her freedom. Refusing the marriage would dishonor the family. Deeks wonders if this was an honor killing. Callen says they have no proof that Zahra is dead yet. But suddenly Kensi and Fatima’s trip to the restaurant is a bit more worrisome.
Kensi and Fatima walk into the restaurant. The place has been trashed.
Callen and Sam are on their way to the restaurant, Deeks is going too until Kilbride pops up on the plasma behind Deeks’s desk. Deeks is ordered to stay in the office.
Mina Ahmad is speaking from the back of the restaurant. Fatima replies in Dari. Mina is tending to her husband, who looks like he’s been beaten. On comms, Deeks warns them that the parents may be involved in Zahra’s kidnapping. Hasan comes out from the kitchen. He’s going to shoot Mina if Kensi and Fatima don’t drop their weapons.
Rountree tells Callen and Sam that Hasan is Zahra’s cousin. There are two more cousins in Los Angeles.
Kensi and Fatima are surrounded by the Hasan brothers. Mina asks Hasan not to go through with the plan. Hasan explains that Mina failed to raise Zahra properly.
Callen and Sam are 10-minutes out. Deeks is not happy. Kensi agrees to dropping the weapons. She puts her gun on the ground but pulls out a baton. She and Fatima try to fight but eventually both women are knocked out. Deeks is really not doing well.
Kensi and Fatima’s trackers are offline. The Audi is still outside of the restaurant but Kensi and Fatima are likely on the move. Callen calms Deeks down and gets Rountree in the mix. Deeks finds another Hasan family member, who owns a warehouse in Long Beach. Callen and Sam are on their way.
And we’re back in the beginning with Fatima struggling to get Kensi to wake up and to get out of the car where they are trapped. The area outside of the vehicle is ablaze. Callen and Sam arrive but are taking fire from the Hasan brothers.
Deeks runs out of Ops, only to be met by Kilbride. Deeks is told he won’t get out to Long Beach in time to save Kensi but he could work to put out the fire from Ops. In Ops, Deeks gets a visual of a fire extinguisher near the warehouse door.
Callen and Sam make their way to the warehouse but Callen’s gun jams. The Hasans are still firing away and the flames are all around the car with Kensi and Fatima.
Fatima gets free and starts untying Kensi. Kensi is finally awake.
Callen gets his gun unjammed just in time to see the vehicle where Kensi and Fatima were blow up to a million pieces.
Deeks is very quiet until Sam says he can see Kensi and Fatima. Deeks offers a “thank God” but the Admiral warns him not to offer thanks just yet.
Kensi and Fatima hear Zahra screaming. She’s being pulled to a different SUV by Hasan. When Zahra tries to pull away, she knocked to the ground and kicked. Kensi pops up and threatens to kick Hasan’s ass. As Kensi pushes a dumpster toward Hasan, Hasan opens fire on the dumpster. This gives Fatima time to find a pipe and knock Hasan out from behind. She says “bye bitch” in Dari – which is a great call back.
Callen and Sam make quick work of the rest of the Hasan brothers. Kensi and Fatima comfort a beaten Zahra.
In the Admiral’s office, he’s sharing stories with Col. Ladd. Kilbride thanks Ladd for taking a big risk to help him. Ladd replies that the only reason he has something to risk is because of the Admiral. Ladd is calling it a day because if they hang around anymore, they’d probably wind up in a bar. Those days are over for Ladd. The two men hug – Ladd has the Admiral’s back - “Always.”
Rountree explains to Deeks as they go down the stairs from Ops that Zahra’s uncle was in touch with the Hasans. The uncle was pulling the strings, the parents were not involved. Kensi arrives with Callen. Deeks gives Kensi a big hug and asks they never do this again. Zahra is bruised but otherwise alright. She’s with Ted in the hospital. Ted’s awake and expected to make a full recovery. As Rountree leaves, Deeks is stunned that Zahra’s family would do this to her. Kensi brings up that it was all done in the name of honor. Callen disagrees – it isn’t honor, it is fear.
Kilbride arrives – the artic recon mission was a success. Callen asks how the Admiral found out about the recon mission. Kilbride said he turned to an old friend. “Hetty?” Kensi asks. “I said friend,” Kilbride replies as he leaves. Callen, Kensi and Deeks are packing up. Callen asks about Ted’s phone that is on Deeks’s desk. Kensi starts to laugh – he couldn’t get the SIM card out, could he. He did. But the SIM card was so damaged it only had the last sent text message on it. Ted told Zahra he loved her. Kensi’s not laughing now. She’s hungry. The three decide to go out for Afghani food.
In the boat shed on the back deck, Sam talks about the hours he spent looking for answers in the water. He asks Fatima if she is OK. Physically, she’s fine. She doesn’t know about emotionally, spiritually and mentally. She is worried about all the women who can’t make their own choices – what to wear, what to do with their lives, who to love. Sam says the thoughts of choice terrify some people. Fatima talks about things being fair but Sam says the world is never fair. But they are getting better. Fatima wants things to move faster.
Akhil arrives but seeing Sam with Fatima says he can leave. Sam says he has a flight and needs to leave. Before he does, he tells Fatima the answers she is looking for will come. After Sam leaves, Akhil asks about Fatima’s day but doesn’t push it. He also asks about dinner – again not pushing it – but Fatima would like something to eat. She just needs a second to compose herself. Akhil gives her “as long as you need.”
As Fatima gives the water one last look, she says “Woman, life, freedom” in Farsi.
What head canon can be formed from here: A really generic episode. You could have replaced Rountree with Eric and not change a single line of dialogue. Actually, wanna bet Hetty knows Col. Ladd as well. And she certainly had her hand-picked allies in different agencies when she needed help. Kilbride’s lines could be Hetty’s in season three.
The main storyline had an interesting aspect with Fatima looking at people who were corrupting her beliefs but mostly it was a generic NCIS/Law & Order/CSI the missing person isn’t missing for the reason you think episode. Totally forgotten was Zahra’s brother who wasn’t getting his master’s degree and claimed his parents beat him. We’re just going to forget about lying to federal agents and child abuse.
Nice callbacks to Jocko Willink’s season 13 Herbie character with the trainer in the gym and Akhil’s broken nose in season 13’s “Genesis”.
Episode number: 314 overall, the 12th episode of season 14.

*sigh* As someone who mainly watches the Good Doctor… for reasons… despite its many, many flaws. At least it’s the last season and soon I will be free. a) I was elated to see Kayla Cromer in something. I even like Charlie, I think some of her writing fucking sucks. Specifically, she’s very similar to Shaun in many respects, both are very opinionated and very outspoken and have a lot of issues reading social cues from others. (I have thought onthe general writing of autistic characters but that’s a different and more complex point and others have likely made it) anyway. Their similarities are part of the reason they clash so severely, while some of their differences -Charlie’s needs more stimuli and externalizes her thoughts, I think and Shaun needs far less stimuli and internalizes a lot. That and imo Shaun has a lot of internalized ableism and trauma from working through his residency in abysmal conditions that he’s taking out on her. (Plz someone make this man go to therapy) She’s been there like two weeks. She needs consistent rules and boundaries set for her. She needs to be have a time to ask all of her questions and review her progress in a non-judgmental space. However she does need to learn better workplace etiquette and appropriate workplace conversation, I’m not arguing she’s not flawed by any means. But she deserves some grace -we’ll get more to that. Shaun changed tactics and rules every other day and gets mad at her for nothing. Tbh. He maybe shouldn’t be her teacher and the hospital shouldn’t force that, or needs to remind him to settle on boundaries and give it a week to see if she progresses in following those rules. But again, s/x accommodation is not forcing two disabled people with conflicting needs to work with each other if not absolutely necessary.
Now what more concerns me about her is that the fandom… fucking sucks in their rxn to her from what I’ve seen. This is what I mean by her deserving some grace, Bc in the show admittedly a lot of characters are giving it to her. She’s like what? 21? Probably never worked before, a med student. I’d guess has AuDHD and probably other disabilities and also. imho she is written to challenge Shaun, so that he has to learn more flexibility and learn how to be a better teacher -and therefore a better father. The fact that she’s written very similarly to Shaun, but also oppositional to him and still needs to learn a lot that he has come a long way on mean people are… not reacting well to this head strong ND young woman and I do think it’s because of the intersection of her gender and disabilities. Is that entirely the writers fault? Admittedly no. But I think it could have been executed better.
b) Asher wasn’t a perfect character but he kinda was my favorite one on this show. So uh. Killing him -very probably, I’d love to be wrong- in the middle of the last season. Was… why? Like. Killing the only gay and Jewish character… I think it’s a bit much for this show. I don’t think anyone needed to die this season. Certainly I’m not entirely opposed to exploring that, but there’s five episodes left. And this….. it’s not the show for it Imo. This show has been about people succeeding despite the odds and so why is he the exception. Idk. Maybe I’m wrong and he will live, I hope so, so take that one with a grain of salt. He looked really dead, there’s was a lot of blood, I think the rabbi was saying the Jewish prayer for the dead at the end. So my hopes are… very low.
Anyway. I’m going to go watch “Everything’s Gonna Be Okay”. Which features far more interesting exploitation of autism and queerness that this show desperately wants to have but simply isn’t capable of.
#The good doctor#Egbo#Long post#I am so glad I will be free soon#At least a almost main autistic character was cast with an autistic actress#I hope to see her in more. She does a good job with what she’s given

Redacted actor aus are so fun so here's my rendition. :}
Every couple is real, for example Milo and sweetheart, Damien and huxley, Elliott and sunshine
Vega and Caelum are brothers and vega is actually Australian, caelum isnt.
Ivan has told interviewers that after filming possessed Ivan he cried as he felt awful for being mean to his listener (oh yeah both of his listeners are his partners)
Marie is Milos actual mom and she comes on set sometimes and brings food, shits good as fuck
In every interview with the freelancer series, shaw pack and solaire clan when asked what was the hardest thing to film was everyone responded with the inversion
Huxley is actually very smart, it scares damien sometimes
Lasko is the quietest person on set which is strange considering his character has almost if not more lines than gavin
Sweetheart will just start dancing in the middle of filming when the camera isn't on them, it makes Milo laugh everytime so they have to refilm it
Aggro is Milos real cat, his real name is Pudding Cup. He's fun to film with but he's stubborn and just does what he wants
In the episode where David and Angel meet you can see caelum in the background as a small Easter egg
Geordi's episodes take the longest to edit considering he has to act then record his lines from his head
The only person who got truely hurt during the inversion was lovely on accident. An actor who was playing a shade knocked them down too quickly and the wind was knocked out of their chest and they had to stop filming for a moment so they could catch their breath
The startrek quotes Asher claims to spew out aren't scripted, those are real quotes he says
I can't think of anymore and I had so many oh no

Angel is the type of drunk person to refuse kisses from David bc and I quote "my boyfriend can kick your ass don't kiss me please" and David is just sitting there like "...I'm your boyfriend????"

Angel loosing their voice and David pretending it's the best thing ever. Finally they stopped talking. But in reality he practically babies them, he gets them tea, blankets, endures Minecraft for once. Once they get their voice back and start talking again he practically cries. He missed their voice so much it hurt.

The Curse Review: "Green Queen" Shoots for the Stars and Delivers
What goes up must come down. Right?
Episode 10 of The Curse (A24/Showtime) begins with a celebrity cameo: Rachael Ray. Say what you will about her, I’m as big a sucker for a good guest spot as anybody else is. Not all are created equal. Some are met with confusion, others, derision, but I’m a fan when the celebrities play jerkier versions of themselves and this did not disappoint. Outside of giving Whitney (Emma Stone) and Asher…

NOPE
NOPE
NOPE. NOPE :)
NOPE
AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Sadder than I have ever been
Okay that's exaggerating but
With a tv show one of the saddest xd
A MEMORIALLLLLL 😭😭😭😭😭😭💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔
I AM NOT OKAY
I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU SHAUN
I'M SORRY I LOVE YOU BUT I DO NOT CARE
Okay okay I can calm down
About that at least
I swear Shaun if you focus on other stuff even to avoid your pain I will die
Yeah I get it Lea :'(( that sucks
And yeah I am sorry Shaun xd
Yeah
Ope???
WHAT THE HECK DID I DO TO DESERVE THIS
OH GOSH that's awful o.o
Lim????
Uhhh not this time xdd 😭😭💔
Oh noooo :'(((
Bro he literally can't operate xd
Oh gosh this is all so chaotic 😭😭💔 not good stuff xd
Not gonna lie kinda angry that we have a big event to be focusing on when Asher literally just died but maybe it'll help distract me xd
Well
The Good news is
The Rookie couldn't possible go worse
Knock on wood
I'm just sitting here in silence
My gosh
Huh
Wow
Gosh xd
Okay, that's the last my last thoughts, now it's time for the. . .
REVIEW
. . .
I really loved this episode!! I don't think I can ever watch it again xdd
sigh
I want to do this while my emotions are fresh (and it'll distract me) but also I don't know if I can bear to
Especially sitting here (not literally) in the emotions of it all
Maybe a quick one
Idk
He deserves better than that though also xd
Maybe quick with a longer one later?
. . . I want to just go forget about it
But I think I need to process it
Because I'm still shocked and denial
I genuinely did enjoy this episode. I thought it was really well done, and I really liked the storylines in it. And, even though I am absolutely heartbroken, I'm glad Asher at least had good final moments, and the drama his death deserved.
Here's what I'll say about what I knew.
This morning, I woke up and saw and article along the lines of "'The Good Doctor' kills of lead. . ." or something along those lines. I quickly swiped it out of the way and stressed xd. Later, another one came (and here's the surprising part that I did not mention earlier, I believe in my review of last episode) that said something similar, "'The Good Doctor' kills of. . ." (something along those lines) and then, under that, something like "Related to: Jerome Martel". Genuinely, the most likely thing I expected was for Jerome to die. I later saw another article that I quickly avoided sight wise, then covered as I scrolled by down to swipe the notification away. And I glimpsed a picture and Asher and Jerome. I really thought Jerome might die.
I'm glad he survived xd.
But I also believe I thought to myself "I'd rather anyone else. I mean, not Asher, or" and then basically thought of "okay I don't want anyone to die" xd.
Hh.
It's been 25 minutes since I finished the episode xd.
Gosh
Okay, a few quick things about other people
So, I guess,
Onto the individual parts
Dom! Missed you today buddy ❤️. Sure you're slaying, see you again soon :).
Shaun and Lea! Oof on the what's-it-called-ing Steve xd. It's rough and I think they may want to let up sometimes but hopefully it helps them <3. I also hope the complaint doesn't affect Shaun too much, but at the same time, he has been treating Charlie unfairly. Anyway, love them.
Charlie! Segway xd. I feel bad for her. She genuinely was doing really good, and she just made a mistake at the wrong moment. I think Shaun should've been calmed, but I do think she needed to learn that that was not the moment to ask. It sucks, I hate the feeling of being told that I need to stop because someone's trying to focus and I just made a mistake. But she needed to, and I think this is an iffy thing to push her over the edge and make a report. At least I hope the report is on other things, not that specific event. She had some good moments this episode though, love her.
Park! Not too much going on, but he slayed on the case :). It sucks the way it turned out for the patients :(. Also, him at the wedding was sweet :')). Love him <3.
Morgan! Again, not too much, though her conversation with Lim was hilarious lol. Poor Lim in that conversation xD. Of course Morgan's hears all the tea though lol. I also like that she defended Charlie sharing her story :). Anyway, she slayed <3. Love her.
Kalu! He slayed today too :)). Glad that he too- well, not really defended Charlie, but was kinda on her side sometimes. Like they said, they're looking out for the interns :')). I really liked the bit where he quickly explained and she was cool with that - I think it just shows that she can be worked with, if you put in the effort and listen and be patient. Anyway, love him <3.
Glassman and Lim! I'm glad they worked everything out in the end, and that it did help Lim with her mom :'). I'm thinking this was mainly for that, and also so Glassman can have someone to be with in the last season. I still think it was a funky thing to do xd, but I'm glad they're happy lol. And I think it's good what he told Lim, that she can start getting closer with her mom :')). And I'm so sorry for Lim, that she and Clay broke up :((. Her line about being alone nearly broke me (though don't worry, I just had to wait for later for that) 😭❤️. I'm glad it's hopefully going to get better <3. Love them :).
Jordan! Didn't notice till she showed up that she hadn't been there, but I'm really bad at noticing that xd. I thought it was a cool way, a good scene and stuff, of working her in :). And her advice to and conversation with Asher was so good :'DD. I do wish she was here, considering what the episode was and how close and Asher are, but I'm glad we got to focus on his relationship with Jerome. And that at least she was still here ❤️. Love her <3.
So. It's time. I'm going to talk about the rest of the episode first, and then say a little bit. Then, I'm going to go cry a bit more probably, maybe have emo thoughts, and distract myself before I go to bed xd.
Asher and Jerome!! Y'allll I loved the content we got for them this episode :'DD. I mean I hate a fight but, hey, I love angst too lol 👀 xD. Still, I love any screen time for them <3. I certainly didn't agree with Asher's wildin opinions in the beginning xD, but I was still having a fun time. And I'm glad everything worked out (regarding the fight and that stuff). Asher helping with the wedding was so sweet 😭😭😭💔❤️❤️🥺🥰. And the talk he had with the rabbi :'DD :')). I loved that, I know that feeling <3. Also AAAHHHHH their kiss after the wedding 😭😭🥺❤️. I'm not okay <3. At least they got a kiss at a wedding :')). Where the arch thing was and everything xd. Random note that I mentioned in the liveblog, I love that they cook together so much. Anyway, AAAHHHHHH JEROME WAS GOING TO PROPOSE!! HE WAS HIDING THE RING!!! AAAAAHHHHHH :DDDD WHOO 🥳🥳🥳🎊🎉🎂🎂🎂🎂!! Asher found it too 🥰🥰🥰. He was stressing, aww poor babey <33 :'(, but I'm glad he finally made peace with it and made his decision :')). Also, regarding. . . everything, I'm glad that he knew <3. Also, Asher immediately going to get Jerome a bandaid was so good <3. Loved it :')). They were seriously so good this episode, it was great :'D. I love them so much <333.
Now.
The stuff xd
I was freaking out at the end. Until that yelling (even for a half second into it), I thought it would be Jerome. I was honestly terrified as well that it was a mislead and it still would be. But even more scared for Asher.
I like that he came full circle. I think he deserved that. Deserves.
I read a few articles after finishing the episode, and one, I think something from a writer, said "His last line is "I am a Jew. A gay one, too, and I'm calling the cops" " (or something like that). That he finally truly accept both parts of himself. I'm really proud of him for that, and I'm glad that's how it ended for him <33. It also makes me think of how his literal first line was about that very thing. He grew up Hasidic, before he decided that "if there was a God, He was nothing but a cruel being that I held nothing but contempt for". Then he says "That's when I started going to medical school. And also dating men". Or, something along those lines for all of that. I like the symmetry.
I do appreciate the commentary of it being a hate crime. We as queer people, and Jewish people (though I am not Jewish) are still facing so much bigotry. But I do kinda of wish that I didn't have to see it in the show as well. Sometimes I like it, sometimes I like to just feel that catharsis, and sometimes I just want to see the good sides. That it's not a tragedy.
Like I've already said though, I do appreciate that it got the drama it deserved. Asher went out fighting for what's right, accepting himself, and standing up for people. That's kind of what he's always been about :'). He also went out with an episode that focused largely on him and his journey, along with his relationship, and he got a good music moment at the end lol. Not to mention the angst of it all. And, of course, in the next episode his funeral. Though I do wish there wasn't a huge emergency as well. But (especially with the description specifically saying they'll all be dealing with their personal tragedy as well), it should be interesting to see at least. And again, it'll distract me and then xd. I just think it would also be interesting to see them trying to go through their normal lives as if this huge thing didn't just happen.
Also, something more lighthearted lol, imagine being at a funeral and then half the guests get up and leave 💀. Even knowing they're doctors it's awkward xD, especially since they're some of the people who cared the most about him (😭😭😭😭😭😭💔💔💔❤️❤️❤️❤️). But it's like, that's what happens when you're a doctor xD. I just find it kind of funny lol.
Anyway. I think, if he had to die, Asher went out the best way he could here. At least he was fighting for something, unlike the tragedy of Melendez's pointless death. It's still absolutely heartbreaking, but that does bring some comfort <3.
Also, in those articles, I saw that the reason Asher was killed off is apparently because Noah Galvin wanted to move on from the show.
I love you sir but I am kinda angry xD.
Nah but for real, I do understand it, and I'm happy he gets/got to go back home and stuff, but I am like ". . . it's the last season" xD. Maybe he asked before it was cancelled lol, I don't know. If that's the case that kinda upset some more, because he might have been willing to stay for just like 5-19 more episodes xd. Anyway, slightly salty about that lol (how could you do this to me Mr. Galvin <33 😭😭😭😭💔💔❤️❤️ :')) :'(( ), but I am happy for him. And he's had a great run on this show, as has Asher <33.
. .
I want to say a little bit.
I know I've said a lot xd, but something specific.
I wish Asher was still alive.
I know that's obvious, and it makes sense, but there's layers to it xd. Yes, he was my favorite characters (nearly said one of lol - he is, but my favorite in the show). Is, that is. Yeah, correcting the opposite way of what you'd expect there lol. Anyway. Yes, he was my favorite, and I absolutely wanted him and Jerome to get married. It was something I was sad about missing with the cancellation, but apparently we could have had it (which I did think of earlier xd). Or at least the engagement xd. We really tried on that one lol - we were so close xd. But, I also just wanted him to live. And I wanted to continue seeing him xd :(((. I still do.
But beyond all that, Asher means something to me. Every character in anything I love does, but he is a very specific character.
He's a character I don't have anywhere else.
We are not exactly the same. But I don't think I can express the importance to me of a queer religious character. Even though he scorned religion, even though he was no longer practicing, it meant something to me. I said a lot, especially in this episode, that I understand it. I do. I understand questioning if you can live your life in your religion and be queer. I understand doing more research than most cishet people ever have to do, finding the scriptures that cry your acceptance and not your punishment. I have watched my religious community on Tumblr receive disgusting death threats because of what we believe. I have heard my religion made fun of my friends. I have fought to defend myself and my culture and my beliefs at every turn, from queer people and religious people and people in between. I have hidden and kept quiet because I was scared.
I am very proud of Asher for what he did.
And I hope that, if I were in the same situation, I wouldn't hesitate.
But especially after an episode where I was starting to see a character that I could maybe relate to even more. A queer character who wanted to keep religion in his life, who was going to maybe re-explore it. After that, I mourn him even more.
There will never be another character that can replace Asher for me. And that, at least, is an honor to him.
Thank you Noah Galvin for giving us this beautiful, wonderful character over all these years. About 3 or 4 now, gosh xd. I truly appreciate it, more than you could ever know.
And I thank you to the writers and everyone else on The Good Doctor. Even if I am not happy with Asher's death, I have been given storylines of him for 4 seasons. I miss him already, but at least I have the time we had <333.
Asher is a passionate, strong-willed, brave, often inexperienced, and caring character. All of that is a part of him, and all of it is important to me. I love him so much 😭😭😭💔❤️ <3. And there is truly not another character like him :'). I will truly miss him, so, so much <33.
Overall, I really enjoyed this episode. I also despised it with my entire being and will not be able to rewatch that horrific ending for years xd. But I'm glad he got what he did, plot wise and drama wise. I know I've already said it a thousand times, but Asher deserves that. He deserves drama, horrific, even if I do want him to have nothing but happiness. He deserves that, he deserves to live, but he deserves to go out with the importance that he had, and I'm glad he did <3. I understand losing someone close, and I am absolutely devastated for everyone else as well :'((. I'm scared and kind of excited (for the angst and the catharsis lol) to see how everyone reacts and copes next episode. If they show me the immediate aftermath I will die, but I will love it. I will also despise it, so I'm glad that I don't think they will xd. Loves everyone this episode, I hope the Shaun and Charlie stuff gets worked out soon, and I'm glad the Lim and Glassman stuff started getting sorted out <33. And you know what? I'll say it. Asher and Jerome got engaged :')). I'm so happy for them <3. AAAHHHHH YAYY WHOOOO 🥳🥳🥳🎊🎂🎂🎂🥰😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️🥺🥺🥺❤️🥰🥰. Because I can celebrate their love if I dang want to. I'm gonna miss them so much <333 😭😭😭😭🥺💔💔💔💔💔❤️❤️❤️. Nonetheless, it was a really good episode. I really loved Asher planning the wedding and the conversion ceremony, it was just so sweet of him to do that :'). And seeing him connect with his roots was great <3. I'm glad the ending- no autocorrect. no. . . lol. I'm glad the wedding worked out :). Everyone was great this episode <3.
So yeah! I absolutely loved this episode, it was so amazing. I also hate it and will never forgive it and them lol. Still, I'm hanging onto that engagement! I am so devastated and excited for the next episode. This has been my review of. . .
The Good Doctor, Season 7, Episode 5: Who at Peace
It was so beautiful. The next episode looks super interesting, and emotional, so I am excited to see it! I think it'll be really good. I'll be back here next week with my review of. . .
The Good Doctor, Season 7, Episode 6: M. C. E.
See you next week!

ENTRY SEVENTY-SEVEN (CONTINUED FROM: ENTRY SIXTY-EIGHT)
Part Two: Episodes 6-10
Episode Six: "Going Out"
Zohar's day starts out with meeting Mali, who didn't allow Asher to sneak out of the house without introducing them. Mali and Zohar were happy to meet one another, but it put Asher on edge. They were going to just drop Zohar off at work, but when her boss confronts Asher about how he spoke to the other baristas, he becomes upset and forces Zohar to quit working at the café. When Zohar and Asher begin to argue, Mali intervenes and takes Zohar out to her favorite mall for breakfast. She tried to ask Zohar if Asher had other girlfriends. Zohar changes the subject and convinces Mali to drive her to see Alex, the speech therapist she didn't have an appointment with. When Zohar arrives, she sees Alex and Yaeli kissing and she runs off depressed and upset without letting Mali know. Zohar starts to call the men she met at the club. One of the men gave her number away to another man that ended up picking Zohar up, and talked her into taking shirtless pictures for him. Just when the audience assumes he might not let Zohar go, Asher suddenly shows up after tracking her location on his phone, beats the man senseless, then forces Zohar to move in with him. Mali tries to plead with Asher, telling him she was waiting for Zohar and wasn't sure how she slipped away, but Asher blows off every word, walking off in anger.
Naava confronts Ron about not going outside to try products for work. She learns not only has he been concerned about her weight, but he's upset that she uses prescription drugs and alcohol to treat her depression. Ron then confessed going outside scares him because there's a possibility of him either getting lost or bullied. Even Ron's own parents struggle to show him any patience or kindness. But Naava comes up with a solution. She decides to stay on the phone with Ron while he's outside, guiding him through his commute with encouragement and giving direction. She also suggests he wear sunglasses if eye contact continues to be a problem. That way, people won't see him looking away from them.
Amit and Erez attend a speed-dating event held by former counselors. Erez meets his future girlfriend Rita. Amit spends his time befriending a man named Shimon, since he's unable to find a date due to excessive talk about Lior. After Erez has a meltdown, the three men return to the apartment and decide to hang a mezuzah in the doorway to Ron's dismay and disapproval.
Episode Seven: "What Do I Feel" - This One is My Favorite Episode of the Series!
This episode begins with Ron going for a walk outside with Naava on the phone for comfort. He does well at first. He talks to her, describing his surroundings as he's traveling down the street, which seems to help with regulating himself.
Ron then starts experiencing difficulty going any further because he feels nervous about crossing a busy street. Naava tries to comfort him but shortly after, Ron can't hear her voice anymore.
He rushes back to the apartment after losing contact with Naava, only to find her dead on the couch from a heart attack. He stares blankly at her for a moment, trying to process what he was seeing. Naava was his best friend.
In the next scene, we see the character of Ron who has been so scared and hesitant about going outside, completely immersing himself in the public.
He walks far away from home, finding himself in an appliance store downtown. Because of his knowledge and experience with buying and reviewing products, he's able to identify everything the store carries. As a result, the character of Ron who was feared to be unemployable, helps a fellow customer who mistook him for an employee, find what she needed with ease answering all her questions like a pro.
He leaves quickly after that and eventually lands himself in a bar that was just opening. This was unintentional as he picked the closest door to him in order to avoid a crowd of people. The bartender asks him for a few minutes but Ron immediately asks for "Amaretto, almond liquor," what Naava used to always drink.
He drinks a half glass, too socially awkward to notice the bartender lifting his drink for a quick cheer. He drinks a second and a third. As the night continues on, he ends up socializing more with the bartender and a visiting comedian named Rami. Rami has been performing for a long time but his crowds have gotten smaller over the years. Seems both men are grieving. One over his friend, the other over his career.
Ron joins Rami to go sit at the shore after his show. They discuss random topics like women, human nature, and a friend Ron had in elementary school. Ron then gets the pleasure of watching the older Rami fail at flirting with a younger woman who was rolling her own cigarettes.
In a desperate attempt to change the subject, Rami brings up that Ron is mourning a friend who passed away. They ask when it happened. "Today," Ron says. They both assume he is in shock due to the lack of emotion and tears. Ron becomes irritated with having to explain he's not in shock and walks away from them both.
Ron then goes into a busy arcade and sits down with something to eat as he watches the people around him play games. Afterward, he steps into a photo booth and takes multiple pictures of himself to analyze his facial expressions.
After ignoring her all day, he decides to accept a call from Yaeli, who is relieved to know he's safe. Ron hardly ever left the house. His friend dies, and he's been gone all day. She was worried. She offers to pick him up but he declines. When she asks him what he's doing, he says, "trying to see how I feel."
Episode Eight: "Don't Want to be An Egg"
There is a group counseling session at the apartment. Yaeli still invited Zohar even though she was forced to move in with Asher. This session doesn't go very well. Ron is uncooperative, Amit is clueless, and Zohar is being hateful toward Yaeli because she saw her kissing Alex, but Yaeli doesn't know she saw them yet.
After the session, Zohar returns home and discusses her new job with Asher. Initially, they argue. Zohar doesn't like cleaning in general, let alone cleaning up after herself. After the argument, she tells him the new job is very boring and very lonely. Asher encourages her to go to work, and promises to visit her during her shift.
After the session, Ron goes to Naava's apartment to watch TV and to sit where she always sat. The door opens. Ron meets Paz, Naava's daughter, who came to take it over. They have an alcohol-fueled discussion about Paz and Naava's mother-daughter dynamic, which eventually leads to Ron and Paz kissing and having sex. After they were done, Paz attempted to connect with Ron but he yelled at her for drinking out of his cup. She then shatters the cup and kicks him out.
After the session, Amit hangs out at home and eventually Erez comes over to introduce his new girlfriend Rita. Rita brought her roommate Shlomit, and they begin to socialize. The conversation was interrupted the split second Amit recognized Lior on TV. She had an audition, now she's acting! And Amit is smitten all over again.
Episode Nine: "Neurotypical"
This episode begins with a cute guy walking into Zohar's new job. She notices him and he notices her too. He walks in and out of the store multiple times within a 5-minute period. He looks at a new book every time he comes back in. Eventually, they smile at each other. Zohar then calls Yaeli and urges her to come to the mall. When Yaeli arrives, Zohar asks her for help with setting up a date with him. Yaeli helps Zohar, apologizes for kissing Alex, and goes on her way to give the young about-to-be couple some privacy. They have lunch then they go back to his place where he teaches Zohar about the term "neurotypical," and why it doesn't apply to them. Later that evening, Asher visits Zohar and they have an uncomfortable conversation about contraceptives. But her evening ends with an affectionate call from her boyfriend Ron, who she calls "the other Ron" since one of her roommates is named Ron too. He even sends an "I love you" text before her bedtime which had her smiling from ear to ear.
Later on, Yaeli is attempting to talk to Ron about mourning the death of Naava, but they are interrupted when a very angry Paz is suddenly storming through the door. She was not happy about Ron's post on her Facebook page, asking her for more sex which was visible to all her contacts. Yaeli nearly calls the police because Paz was yelling so loud but Ron tells Yaeli to go away. Paz tells Ron to never post on her page ever. A few minutes later, Paz offers sex then changes her mind, telling Ron to never contact her again. Not before long, Paz calls Ron on the phone and asks him to come to the apartment to help her with all the products, resulting in them fooling around. Once again, Paz tries to connect with Ron afterward but she's met with resistance when he reveals he doesn't want her moving in her mother's apartment, which she said she would definitely do now out of spite. Yaeli tries to discuss the situation with Ron when she notices he's upset. They go out to a cafe, discuss Paz, and buy her something to eat. Ron goes to drop the meal off and talk to Paz but Amit interrupts them. Paz is taken aback by how mean Ron acts toward him. She ends up offering him the meal Ron bought and a ride to the mall, making Ron upset all over again.
Amit finds out Lior will be back in town for a meet-and-greet at the mall to promote the show she stars in. He's trying everything he can to get a ride there, ignoring the restraining order. After getting dropped off by Paz, he finds himself in a serious situation. He had to use the restroom but doesn't know how to undo his belt. Two school age boys come out of their stalls and Amit asks them for help with the belt. It looks as bad as it sounds but Amit actually meant no harm. Still, the boys were terrified and ran away. They return less than a minute later with an angry father who beats Amit up, thinking he's a predator.
Episode Ten: "So Many Trees"
This episode begins with a news segment about what happened to Amit. As he and Ron are watching the footage after police intervention, Amit takes notice to Yaeli comforting him as he was crying. In this moment, Amit forgets about Lior and a new crush begins to develop.
Then, Yaeli calls a group meeting with Zohar, Amit, and Ron. They are all there, along with Erez, to discuss him moving in with the trio. He agrees to the house rules and reads a letter he wrote out loud. All was going well until Yaeli mentioned the repairman that Ron doesn't like. He's coming to prepare Erez's room and now they need an hour-long escape plan.
Zohar and her boyfriend Ron go out on a date involving a movie and meeting Asher for coffee. Zohar introduces them, asking Asher to leave immediately after instead of hanging out. Zohar wanted to go back to Ron's place. Ron wrote a song for her and sang it to her when they got there. Zohar tells him she wants him but he isn't interested in sex at all, ever. Zohar becomes upset but quickly calms down and asks Ron if he's willing to make out with her until she finds a boyfriend she can sleep with. He agrees. After a make-out sesh, Zohar heads over to Asher's place to ask him for a favor but he's at his wits end with her. He yells at her saying he's cared for and helped her his entire life but she never does anything when he needs something. He eventually just walks away from Zohar without saying anything else to her.
Amit received a special invitation from the cafe he loved following the incident at the meet-and-greet. There he finds Lior and the old crew waiting for him. They give him free treats, she gives him an autographed DVD copy of the series, but his only response is asking them if they know Yaeli. He returns home for his final session with Yaeli, as she reveals she won't be staying for another year, and he just gives her flirty eyes the whole time.
Ron is under the impression that he's going up to Paz's apartment to train her in writing product reviews, but she already has a review waiting. It's for the product "Ron," and she gives it only one star, citing his insensitivity as the reason. Yaeli goes to say her goodbyes to Ron but tries to tell him the review is actually a gift, but he doesn't understand. He just tells Yaeli he'd prefer an Apple watch for a gift instead.
The episode ends with the three of them sitting on a park bench, waiting for the repairman to leave.
Like I said in Part One, maybe the way I describe it may not sound as entertaining but it really was a cute show. I was hoping Yaeli would eventually return and maybe even date Asher since he seemed to be just as heartbroken when he found out she kissed Alex. Speaking of return, since it seemed that Asher was about to walk out on Zohar, it would be nice to see him return as well after taking some time off for himself. I was hoping Amit and Zohar both would make more friends. I was hoping Amit would have friends to a point where he forgets the crushes and that Zohar finds women she can relate to and a suitable boyfriend... Which I actually think should be her roommate Ron. Speaking of which, his quick visit to the appliance store proved he's employable. I would've loved to see him at a retail job selling the products he knows inside and out. Oh well. It's done now.
More thoughts later.

Just finished S2E18. Didn’t expect that I’ll straight up crashland on that one, but I have a few interesting observations.
I adore Dr. Akana and the Mr Japanese doctor and his Candy bags
Amelia and Dr Akana’s interactions were so cute
Aiyon and Dr Akana’s interactions were cuter
Ollie was the biggest asshole he’s been in the entire season.
Absolutely detested by how Amelia replied something like “how smooth/clever” when Ollie tricked Aiyon into going to Japan. Like girl. He’s making you turn into himself.
Javi’s cavity joke was ✨
More Ollie rage. OLLIE SHE WAS A GOOD MOM NOT EVEN LIKE WARDEN GARCIA! Treat her better than shit— she still loves you after everything you said.
Ollie has to stay up all night and fix his mistake while the team chills out, Dr Akana and Amelia explore ghost hunting devices. This is karma this is perfect.
And the best thing: Ollie and Amelia did NOT get their hotel date, because he’s stuck working.
FanFiction time~

Series Review-Æon Flux (1991-1995) Summary: Æon Flux is a mysterious and amoral secret agent from the country of Monica. Her motives or background are left unexplained, as are those of her antagonist/love, Trevor Goodchild. On her missions, she deals swift, bloody "justice" to all that oppose her. The second season episodes of this series were unique in that Aeon died at the end of every single episode. Genre: Adventure, Avant-garde, Science Fiction Created by: Peter Chung Composer: Drew Neumann Country of origin: United States No. of seasons: 3 No. of episodes: 21 (list of episodes) Executive producers: Japhet Asher, Abby Terkuhle Producer: Catherine Winder Production companies: Colossal Pictures, MTV Animation Distributor: MTV Networks Original network: MTV Picture format: NTSC Audio format: Stereo Original Release: November 30, 1991 – October 10, 1995 Voice cast: (list of cast members) Æon Flux ; at this point, for me, just exists as a piece of nostalgia. It's a piece of art that I didn't know I wanted until I had it and couldn't really appreciate until it was out of the MTV line-up. At the time when it first aired, it was unlike anything I had ever seen but because I was only about 9 or 10, I wasn't allowed to watch it. The episodes I was able to sneak and watch left me wanting more. I didn't really understand the show, it wasn't for my age group. The writing and the themes were too "grown up" and each episode seemed like it's own universe unto itself; but there was something special about it, something intriguing. The art style was weird and the characters had exaggerated features. It doesn't seem to be one continuous story but a bunch of stories centered around the main character; Æon Flux , and her arch-enemy/lover...Trevor Goodchild. They remain pretty much the same between episodes but the supporting cast and the overall scenario changes. I think that's why today it still sticks out in my memory. It was ahead of it's time. Nobody was really doing anything similar and even today there really aren't many shows I could even compare it to. Our first introduction to Æon Flux was part of the Liquid Television program on MTV. It was an animation showcase where you might have seen another classic...Bevis & Butthead. The first few episodes were extremely short and contained little or no dialogue during it's run time. Peter Chung was able to convey all the emotion, character motivation and information the viewers needed to stay on the channel with a silent protagonist, which impressive. The way the show is setup, it would have you believe that because Æon is the focal point of the show and Trevor Goodchild is presented as her counter-balance that she is the hero, she's the "good guy" and that he's the "bad guy", but it's not always that cut and dry in every scenario. Some times you will fight with what you're actually rooting for, you'll wonder if you've had their alignments backwards the whole time. They have kind of a Batman/Joker dynamic. They need each other. His totalitarian empire needs terrorism to justify his methods and she needs that empire to rebel against for her own selfish needs. The setting of this show is a dystopian society and some scenes are hard to watch even as an adult. Peter Chung seemingly didn't just want to you to see a dystopia and take you on a tour of a world unlike your own, he wanted you to feel it. He perfectly captures the pain and brutality of of such an environment which is often translated through ever changing supporting cast. For example; in episode 3, a woman named Sybil and her lover, Onan seek to cross the border from Bregna into Monica. Sybil makes an attempt but she is shot in the back by a turret completely destroying one of her vertebrae. She can now only stand up right by way of Goodchild's technology. Sybil discovers how Æon has been crossing the border but Goodchild warns her that Æon has been allowed to do this. Sybil doesn't listen and she makes a second attempt, she dodges the turrets but has her legs amputated by robots she helped manufacture. It's a heartbreaking view of what life is like for some people under Trevor’s tyranny. THE GOOD
The aesthetic of the show is maybe it’s most intriguing asset. I had never seen anything like it, I had never felt anything like this show. There was an ambiance too it. It wasn’t just an atypical art style, there was a whole atmosphere built around these stories. I didn’t just watch Æon Flux , I experienced it. It’s almost hard to put into words what watching this show is like.
The unorthodox approach storytelling is a hard sell, especially in an animated series and in the 90′s at that but in the general sense, it’s a breath of fresh air. It’s not linear, I don’t know where every episode is going. The writer doesn’t hold my hand or insult my intelligence. He doesn’t explain everything and he doesn’t need to. That’s part of what makes this show great, breaking it down and processing what i’m seeing for myself and drawing my own conclusions as to what everything means.
Because of the narrative structure of the show, characters have to be more expressive and more information has to be provided through facial expressions and subtle details. Some of the shorts don’t have any dialogue so the fact that people were so interested in those shorts that it became an actual series, says a lot about what Peter Chung is capable of.
THE BAD
The approach to storytelling isn’t for everyone. They don’t really build this ongoing story about Æon. It’s kind of hard to follow. You have to see every episode too because if you miss one then you missed a scenario completely, they won’t revisit it in another episode.
I give Æon Flux an 8.9 out of 10 CULT CLASSIC
