Aeri can’t decide what she hates more - the way the bejeweled pin in the victor from District 8’s hair is lopsided, or the girl herself. Oh, what Aeri wouldn’t give to wear such an accessory again, or even wear the finery the victor has been gifted to wear to the viewing. That was her once, wasn’t it?

But now? She’s stuck here, watching this spectacle. The brat, who has no idea what privilege she’s been presented with, keeps on creasing the delicate threads of her gown and her stylists also clearly have no idea on how to do the brat’s makeup. And then there’s that damn pin- Aeri’s pin once upon a time- only in place because it’s tangled in there-

And Aeri can’t hold back. When the brat’s stylists are gone, she reaches into the girl’s hair and extracts the pin. Her fingers, callused from years of hard labor that still feels foreign to Aeri, are quick to untangle most of the obvious knots in the brat’s hair before shetwists the locks into a ponytail and then a bun. The pin goes back in.

Aeri glares at the girl through the mirror. Don’t you dare mess up my work.

There's a harshness to being dolled up when you are in no way receptive to it.

María isn't foreign to the roughness of life - she's a fucking Victor, after all, isn't she - she's started working in factories just about around the age even the most moral of District 8 people might turn their back in fear on seeing her walk in, pretending not seeing her would free them of the responsibility of working with a child.

Her hands and nose and palate and lungs had long gotten used and keep getting used to the aftermath of working with chemicals, of being so very intimate with garments and colours, with fumes and heat, with the hard work of surviving, with the hard work of fighting to be allowed a minimal chance at said survival, at figuring that there's little more for people from District 8 to fight for.

Still... it's not the same.

Being pushed around, dressed in things she would have never chosen for herself to serve a people, a man, because she's not stupid enough to not be able to tell what is Capitol and what is Snow and how Capitol is Snow, it's a kind of biting and harsh and rough that doesn't leave behind the usual kind of scars and memories and bruises.

Even surviving the Games had come with a desperately accepted sense of relief, one covered in blood and the humiliation of all she'd done and all she'd thought she'd get to accomplish, only for reality to crash in on her in a victory she hadn't wanted to partake in, hadn't wanted to make possible, when she'd wanted her Games to be victor-less in lieu of ending the Games themselves.

This... this is humiliation in the long run. This has hardly any hope attached to it, waiting for her on the other end of the line. Sometimes, on the worst days, it feels like the true brunt of the battle, walking with blood-stained soles and palms and sparkling as she does, wearing all that might make even the softest source of light appear like flames reflecting off her frame, covering her in fire that had not eaten her alive - much to a few people's disdain.

Picking at things, not holding still, grimacing, shifting her muscles, arms, face to make her stylists' life as difficult as possible, it was all she had to fight back.

The Arena came with death and violence, and living back at home had been physical labour upon physical labour, straining her young body until she could no longer tell if she was broken beyond repair or fitter than children her age should be - had they grown up privileged within the Capitol's safety.

Here she has only threads to tear apart and reflections to glare at.

And a new challenge behind every door.

She feels yanked back, an intensity of motion caused less by the avox suddenly in her hair and more her own stiffness that hadn't prepared her for submission to someone suddenly rearranging her.

After her stylists had left, she'd succumbed to the tension of not wanting to be there, without the added hard work of making sure everybody else does. Lost in her thought, somebody's hands suddenly returning on her had fortified, molten it into a newly forged blade, stiff and ready to strike, tensing everything within her and making a few fingers in her hair turn into a grappling hook tied to a moving mountain.

María is startled enough she can't remember how to glare.

A frown does accompany her widened eyes anyway, making her look... appalled, almost, an addition to her expression so unsuited to typically frightened features, youth tainted by the face of someone used to having to fight to stay alive.

It almost happens in a flash then. The reflection moves and adjusts and fixes and what had started as something that had María's lips split into something acid and trembling, turns into something unpleasant and acrid, but silent, as María sits and lets herself be mandhandled one more time.

That's when she glares. After the avox finishes up, after their eyes meet in the mirror and María sees none of the downturned gazes they're trying to make her accustomed to.

Seeing avoxes pisses her off.

Why take it out on them.

She understands what they are, what they're supposed to represent.

To her, an avox is a statement. No longer a person but rather someone rid of their innate right to be considered one. Even with the determination and life in this avox' eyes, María has come to understand them as tools Snow uses to assert his dominance, people from all circles of life, punished with the robbing of their words... and their detached tongue metaphorically forced to lick away at the tip of the shoes of people like María.

All a scheme.

Infighting.

Use the prey on the prey, make them take each other out.

It'd be easier to feel pity if María could sleep, if the avox hadn't adjusted her appearance, and if the avox wasn't staring her down as if she had any right to do so.

She's oddly beautiful.

She's oddly familiar.

"Why are you helping them?" she hisses, low, whispered, because she might never admit it, but she's... she's a little scared, isn't she? Lately? Devora's face swims before her inner eye, so stern, so wrong.

"I'm on your side more than they are," she adds, pulling a strand of her hair out of the freshly adjusted bun.

So I'm imagining a bit of a silly concept, but imagine delivery driver!reader with yanderes Dick and Jason. Like they'll keep ordering from the place reader works in hopes that reader will show up (and she will - your boss got fed up with all the 1 star reviews when anyone other than you shows up) but they act like creeps trying to get you to join in on their movie night or whatever. They totally don't realize they're being creeps, though - this is their darling! They would never scare her! But like reader gets fed up with them "propositioning" her so she has her boss put them on the do not deliver list. The boys are surprised (they knew her boss was sending all those other drivers on purpose! 🙄), but it's nothing a call to Barbara can't fix (she wants to be an Auntie ASAP - platonic yan Barbara, perhaps?)

It starts with a simple delivery to Wayne Manor, one insignificant package set their sights on you, but could you blame them? That smile when you handed Dick the package, the pretty laugh you let out when Jason said something witty, it wasn't their fault you enamored them with a single meeting, and it didn't help when you delivered their second package, about a week after the first, and remember their names, the audacity to do such a thing and not expect them to fall in love.

Anytime someone other than you shows up they're met with the coldest glares, Dick is short with them, no banter no charm, Jason straight up doesn't speak to anyone that isn't you.

They don't start to get creepy until about week three, that's how long their resolve lasts before Dick is inviting you in for a drink, you must be hot in that uniform of yours, why don't you come inside? It's cool in the manor and he's sure your boss wouldn't miss you for a few minutes.

Jason, to his credit, really does try to be casual about his interest, of course it's anything but casual, he pretends to be working on his bike when you come to get his signature, purposely showing off as he takes his time signing, intense blue eyes staring at you with an intensity that made you sweat. He says a pretty girl like you shouldn't have to work so hard, that you should have someone to take care of you, you grit your teeth biting out a smile as you snatch the tablet back as soon as he finishes signing.

It isn't until your latest delivery do you put them on the do not deliver list, as usual they were together when you rang the doorbell, Dick smiles so brightly at you, you'd think you were delivering the stars in a neatly wrapped box. "Hey (y/n)!" He greets you like a long time friend instead of someone you'd only spoken to a handful of times, "You mind bringing that inside?" He asks the question and despite its oddity, you comply bringing the package inside.

Jason closes the door behind you, causing you to jump, when the hell did he get here?

"Good to see you bunny." He was always calling you pet names, far too intimate for your liking, he smirks before taking the box from your hands, his fingers purposely brushing against yours. "You're like a little messenger fairy."

You choose to ignore him, turning to Dick, you hold out the tablet for him to sign. "We'll get to that in a minute- why don't you sit down for a sec?" He sits on the couch patting the spot beside him. "I gotta get back to my route-"

"it's midnight, you guys stop delivering after midnight right?" Jason speaks up causing you to look at him, he looks way too satisfied with himself, catching you in a lie. Feeling trapped you sit on the couch reluctantly. "What's up?" You ask looking between the two, Jason remains standing his beefy arms crossed across his chest. God he made you uneasy.

"we've noticed how hard you've been working lately and since we're friends-" you don't hide the confusion on your face at the proclamation, "-We figured you could use a break." Dick spoke almost as if he was nervous. "Come on bunny, take a load off." Jason finally sat down sandwiching you between the two.

"or- and hear me out on this one, you sign for your package and I leave?" They share a look before Dick is almost sadly signing the tablet. "Well if you ever wanna just chill or something-"

You don't hesitate you leap off the couch and run out the door, heart slamming so hard in your chest you felt the rumble in your throat.

You thought you'd be done with them after putting their names on your company's do not deliver list, and for about a week you are, until they realize what's going on and collectively lose their minds.

Barbara couldn't stand seeing two of her closest friends so down, so unlike themselves, once they explain the situation to her she's quick to act, understanding their... particular intensity when it came to love, and clearly you'd stolen their hearts, she couldn't stand to see them so upset so she quickly devizes a plan to get you back where you belong.

All it takes is hacking into your company's files to find your route and schedule, it's like child's play to her to set up the meeting, she ordered a shit ton of stuff all for you unbeknownst to you of course, all items you'd need for your upcoming vacation, Bruce had a few private islands for situations just like this one, and it be the perfect place for Dick and Jason to break you in. By the time you left the little slice of paradise, you'd be a perfect little darling.

With a smile too pretty for her deeds, she presses confirm on the order and sends a text to the guys.

"Your Darling is approaching with your order."

That's how it started.

Just one message on a night where you were both feeling a little too bold for your own good.

"yeah?? I'd like to see you try"

You'd been playing some stupid online game that Idia had been recommended, for much longer than you should've. It was well past two in the morning by now, on a school night no less.

Someone would nag you about it in the morning, but that's a problem for future you.

Current you is hidden under a sea of blankets, trying to hide the light of your phone screen from the room.

"maybe i will, huh???"

You smile at his reply. As if.

The game had been long abandoned, leaving you to your usual banter before you found something else to do together.

But it's almost three, and you're actually starting to get tired.

"im holding u to that. you better not get cold feet tomorrow"

No response. He's probably trying to come up with some witty comeback that'll leave you speechless, as always. But, nothing.

Weird.

You don't see much of him the next day, either. He hasn't been responding to any of your messages, and his status is offline, which is very unlike him. He's almost never not online in some capacity.

You're walking back to your dorm when your phone goes off.

"sending you my location. meet me asap"

Weird, again, weird. Idia being anywhere but his room is strange in and of itself.

Curiosity gets the best of you, and you end up somewhere behind the school, in a shaded grove.

And there's a head of glowing blue hair sitting against one of the trees.

"Idia?" you ask, a little dumbfounded. "What's up?"

He has his hands in his pockets, and a terrified look on his face.

Still, he speaks. "Ready?"

"Ready?" you repeat. "For...?"

You sit down next to him, and he flinches, clearly wanting to scoot away from you but not letting himself.

"Seriously," he sighs, sulking. "And you told me not to get cold feet..."

Then it clicks. Your face lights up, a little amused, a little flustered, but overall, very surprised.

He's going to...

You try to hold back a grin. "Yeah, I'm ready,"

Idia sighs (dramatically), mumbles, "Well, you asked for it," and kisses you on the mouth.

It's... not very good.

Tense would be an understatement, he seems to hold the static kiss for much longer than necessary, as if he's just as afraid of finishing it as he was starting.

After what amounts to a minute of nothing, you pull back.

"Before you say anything-" you say, quickly, noticing the devastated look on his face. "Maybe I should lead. Okay?"

Idia opens his mouth, as if to argue, but the only thing that comes out is a faint, squeaky, "okay".

You move a little closer, cupping his face in your palms, trying to figure out how to lead.

His whole face (and hair) is pink, and he's staring at you like you're about to take a bite out of him instead.

You smile, push his hair out of his face, and kiss him.

It's... a little better. He actually kisses back, and you pull away as soon as you feel him getting nervous again.

"I suck at this," he sighs. "This is so cringe. You should just get it over with and kill me now."

"Have you had enough, then?"

A long silence follows. He stares at you. You stare back.

Idia takes a deep breath, then kinda smiles. "...Third time's a charm, right?"

Solange has this as well and she is known as Beyoncé’s sister (which I do not condone or support but let’s be real) and mercury rules siblings. PartyNextDoor’s references a neighborhood hood and he is well known where he’s from. This might suggest being mostly known within your town/city. first of all, every member of the cast is KILLING IT. grant is genuinely witty as a sherlock holmes-style dandy and is solving the case in real time. rekha's southern drawl gives me life. katie goes full peaky blinders. raph is a master of rolling badly and then roleplaying exactly how his character fucked it up. and sam's portrayal of buckster $ boyd is so charismatic it makes me want him back in the dome for a side quest ASAP

ally's portrayal of lars gets its own bullet point because i genuinely believe it's some of their best work. often ally's characters are the lynchpin of season lore, but lars proves how much ally shines when their talents for comedy are harnessed toward nothing but inhabiting an impossibly loyal silly little thembo who knows a lot about astrology

Sirius and you have been frustrated with each other for a while, leading to a surprising situation where you both deal with those frustrations.

Warning: smutty

“You’re such an ass.” You snare at Sirius as he drags you away from the horrible dinner party with all the filthy rich families. He again had managed to ruin everything. You understood why he was acting the way he was. His family and their pureblood mania upset you as well, but you still managed to be diplomatic about it, contrary to Sirius. “Can’t you just behave for once.” You continue and Sirius rolls his eyes annoyed that you’re lecturing him again. You’re both startled when you hear someone snicker in the back of the apparently not so empty room after all. 

“You two argue like a married couple that’s not having enough sex.” Your eyes meet Regulus’ smug ones as he passes you both, gently patting his brother on the shoulder before leaving the room. “Maybe deal with those frustrations rather than bothering everyone else with it.” Regulus smirks as he closes the door behind him. 

Your eyes stay focused on the door through which Regulus had just left. “He's such a stuck up little shit.” Sirius growls and your eyes snap to Sirius. “No. He’s right and you just hate it when other people are right and you’re wrong.” Your tone has Sirius’ blood boiling but he only quirks a brow at you. You purse your lips and lift your chin, before explaining. “It isn’t just your family. Something else is causing you to be this frustrated and you should work it out and not bother others with it.” You cross your arm and stare Sirius down.

Sirius remains calm on the outside while actually raging on the inside. You were not blaming him for everything again, when you were the one driving him insane. “I’m sorry.” His voice is sassy and twisted as he takes a step closer to you. “I’m the frustrated one.” And another step closer, so now he’s towering over you. You take a step back to give yourself some space to come up with a witty comeback but you startle yourself when your behind touches a piano key, sending a single tone through the room.

You look back at the black elegant piano behind you, almost angry that it stood there. When you bring your eyes back to Sirius his smirk makes you roll your eyes. “You’re vibrating with annoyance and frustration. So don’t tell me I’m the problem.” The man in front of you argues and your tongue moves over your lips as you try not to lose your cool. “You. Are. Unbelie-”

Sirius wasn’t thinking. He was sure of it, because no logical thought would have let him do this. In less than a second his hands were on your hips and his lips were hungrily moving over yours. He didn’t want you to start another empty argument, because lately that was all the two of you did and there was never a good ending, never a release. He craved that. All of those frustrations out. Almost feverish both of you move closer to one another, clawing at each other's flesh and clothes, wanting more out of every touch. “What are you doing?” You manage to say in between heavy breaths and animalistic kisses as you move a hand through his hair. “Do you want me to stop?” Sirius’ low voice against your neck in between kisses has you question your sanity. You didn’t want him to stop. Quite the opposite, you wanted more, much more and asap. Your lack of response makes Sirius chuckle in between sloppy kisses. “Then shut up.” He says with a hushed voice, pushing into you and making your ass hit another piano key. 

Sirius pulls you against him and away from the piano. He doesn’t need his family barging in here to demand he play the piano, while all he wanted to do was play with you. Holding you pressed against his chest Sirius leans to close the fallboard, only to place you on it. Seated with Sirius between your legs there is nothing for you to do except for letting the man ravish you. He pushes up your long dress so his hardening bulge is pressed against your soaking panties. His hand grip and almost tear the fabric of your dress covering your chest, exposing your breasts to his sucking and nipping. Soft sounds coming from your lips only encourage him to continue, not holding back any of the lust he’s feeling.

You let yourself rest on the piano, while lazily pulling his shirt in an attempt to get him to take it off. All Sirius had done for the past few weeks was get on your nerves, it was only just that he would be the one to calm your nerves by presenting you with a good view and some release. Finally getting your hints Sirius pulls his shirt over his head with an urgency to have his mouth back on your flesh. Your hand moves over his muscular chest and abdomen. Merlin, his looks make up for a lot of the dumb stuff he says and does. 

His fingers push your panties to the side and enter, working your clit like he’s on a clock, but to him it was the view he was working so hard for. Your face filling with pleasure, your back arching against the piano and your lips slightly parted, just enough to have your moans vibrate perfectly. Gods, I need more of this woman.

You made your way back to the party first, immediately mingling in some pointless chitchat, like you never left the room. Sirius arrived a little later, hoping to not raise any suspicion about your absence. His fingers combing through his hair, hoping it looked as it did before you had moved your fingers through it and tugged at it while he had rushed you to an orgasm, crying his name as he eagerly slammed his hips into yours, eyes never leaving your beautiful and blushed face. 

“Can I still play that piano or did the two of you ruin it?” Regulus whispers only loud enough for Sirius to hear his concern about the piano. Sirius stares his brother down as he offers him a glass of champagne with an amused grin gracing his lips. “No, I did not ruin the piano.” Sirius answers dryly, looking around the room and resting on your figure. “So, you just ruined her.” Regulus states, before taking a sip from his glass, while meeting his brother's annoyed, but confused eyes. “I don’t know why I did that? Why she let me do that?” Sirius obliviousness makes his younger brother chuckle. “Yes, why? So bizarre...” Regulus mocks before leaving his brother to stand alone and wonder about what was really going on between you two. It was only when you looked at him from across the room that he knew.

What inspired you to start creating content about Eris?  I became curious about writing Eris after he was featured in some of my Elucien fics. When I started my multichapter Elucien fic Summer Heat, I decided that I would give him a male love interest in that fic and create an OC - which ended up being Alexius who you see featured in all of my Eris work. I originally intended for it to be a background relationship, but I decided to experiment and write the scene of their first meeting (a very smutty scene) just to do some character exploration. I didn’t intend to include it in the fic, but then once I wrote it, I knew that it was something special and Eris x Alexius became a true B storyline in that fic with a fully fleshed out love story. After that, I wanted to expand and write fics that focused on them which I've written several now and more to come for Eris Week! It's a bit niche. Hardly anyone writes Eris x Male OC but I'm obsessed now.

What's your favorite piece you've created featuring Eris and why? 

That would be my Eris x Alexius multichapter fic - Pull Me in Deeper. I love it because it was a way for me to explore Eris’ character when he is out of the watchful eye of his father and others in Prythian. It’s also just a fun action/adventure/romance story and I got to explore more lore and character building for my OC Alexius as well. Alexius was designed to be, in my opinion, the perfect person for Eris and that means often standing in contrast to a lot of his personality traits and pushing him outside of his comfort zone. So it was an incredibly fun dynamic to explore. And it’s two gay men who are on a quest to find out (*spoilers*) if unicorns exist XD.

How do you approach writing dialogue for Eris? 

I tend to lean into Eris being more careful with his words - so he is sharp, concise, and efficient in his word choice. Depending on who he’s sharing a scene with and the context, he can be severe and short or he can be long-winded and eloquent. And of course, he has banter and jabs a plenty. So I try to balance all those sides of him depending on the context.

Do you have any advice for other creators wanting to make Eris content? 

Eris inhabits a unique space in canon where he is truly a free agent when it comes to relationships. So, I would recommend if you want to write romances with Eris to lean into self-indulgence and write the pairing/story you really want to tell and try to let go of what you think will be popular. And if that ends up being Eris x OC rather than a canon character, know that it can actually be such a rewarding experience even if you don’t have a built in audience. Creating an OC to pair with Eris has been immensely fun and has broadened my creativity. Eris is a complex, interesting character with so many layers and building someone to fit him and find out what is underneath all of those layers can lead you down quite an obsessive path. But a fun one.

Kian. He is the third oldest and is more of a scholarly type. Now that second brother Conan is dead, he is next in line after Eris.

I love Leo so much, I fell in love with him from the moment I first saw him in the promo for Fates at its release & on the cover art, & I resolved to marry him ASAP once I got Conquest. Orion: 5. When Orion gets jealous, he internalizes it and doesn’t really do much about it. He knows how to push it down and act regularly because he’s just hardwired to keep his emotions at bay. how he acts when he’s jealous: When he does show his jealousy, he is very…deceptively nice. A cool smile, you think he’s being kind to you but then he walks away and you realize he just insulted you in three different ways lol

Sebastian: 4. Sebastian rarely gets jealous because he is so kind that he sees it and is like “MC is an amazing person who wouldn’t want to be with them” and would think it’s a compliment towards MC lol he also just doesn’t ever think that there could be nefarious intentions in “stealing MC away” because he never stops to think that people…are capable of being bad 😭 even though he has experience with it but yk

how he acts when he’s jealous: if he does get jealous, it will be the first time Sebastian is ever cold toward someone and with MC, he’ll try to amp up his charm and try to steal MC’s attention, basically like “look here! Look here!” Victoria: 10. Victoria is a very jealous person but it stems a lot from her own insecurities.

how she acts when she’s jealous: She tries to push it down and deal with it herself so MC may not even realize she’s jealous because that’s the kind of coping mechanism she built up with G: act indifferent or normal. She doesn’t realize that…people can talk things out and communicate haha

G: 0 or 3. think it’s pretty obvious by now that G is pretty detached from their feelings, so they’re not a jealous person at all…until they’re in love. Then it’s a whole new experience they don’t even know how to deal with, but even then, they’re not very jealous mostly because they’re a pretty free person themself and understand a little flirting is harmless and fun! how they act when they’re jealous: if, by some specific reason, they get super jealous…they will quite literally pull MC away from the person making them jealous and tell MC to keep them company and be direct that they’re jealous lol or they’ll be funny/witty and say something like “hope ur not trying to steal them away from me are u? *wink wink*” to the person lol or something along those lines. Nothing too serious.

August: 6. August is pretty good at picking up people’s vibes/intentions so they’ll know if someone has their eyes on MC

how they act when they’re jealous: they shed that whole internal/reserved act and start acting real cool. make witty digs at the other person and have the whole room laughing, basically showing MC what MC would be missing 😭 but ‘Cool August’ would not be afraid to tell MC how they’re feeling but they’d also be cool enough to get MC to remember why exactly they’re is so…enticing, they’d definitely have a few people falling in love with them by the end of the night
