In 1932 and 1933 around 3.9 million of Ukrainians were killed in the Holodomor, a man-made famine engineered by the Soviet government. Another act of the genocide against the Ukrainian people, carried out by the russian regime.

It is impossible to forget the horror that our grandparents, those who managed to survive, used to tell us about.

But even if we tried to forget this terrifying period, it would not work - as russia stays true to itself - russia is still trying, just as it did 90 years ago, to destroy Ukraine and its people in every way it can.

I am writing this post from an almost empty mobile phone, in the dark. I have had six hours of electricity at home in a week. I am now re-learning how to value every minute of my ordinary life, all those things that used to be routine have begun to be treasured in a whole new way.

I am not complaining, I am constantly thinking about those who feel worse - our soldiers at the front, people whose homes have been destroyed, those who have lost their loved ones, doctors working in unthinkable conditions, all the professionals who are providing us with electricity, water and heat.

My thoughts are with all those tragic souls who died in 32-33 and those who are suffering now. My weapon is information.

I remember our past, I will never forget our present and I will do everything in my power to make people around the world aware of all the evil russia has brought and is still bringing to my land.
