John Carpenter wrote a script and it became Eyes of Laura Mars (1978). However, there was so little similarity between the finished product and his original script that Carpenter had little more to do with the film. Even so, Faye Dunaway, Tommy Lee Jones, Rene Auberjonois, Brad Dourif, and Raul Julia add credence to the movie along with Irvin Kershner’s direction and some very Giallo-like touches. Where will the Grue-Crew, joined by Dirk Rogers, come down amid the muddled aspects of Eyes of Laura Mars? You’ll just have to check it out to find out. Incidentally, did you notice Brad Dourif was in the film?

At the time of this writing, Eyes of Laura Mars (1978) is available to stream from Tubi and multiple PPV sources. It is available on physical media as a Blu-ray formatted disc from Kino Lorber Studio Classics and from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

Need help with finding drawing refs here’s some things to search up

Dramatic romantic poses or just dramatic:

Search: ballet duet/duo it gives you feeling, drama and also very dynamic poses as well. that give a lot of emotion. most dancers are in tighter clothing so it helps with anatomy to see how the body moves and what is possible and impossible

Plays and musicals (I recommend plays tbh):

Like ballet they give feeling but the poses are less dynamic. most of the time on stage the emotion is bigger generally so it will help with facial expressions. Also if you don’t want Shakespeare or historical plays search up contemporary plays. Plays also can give a sense of light a shadow especially in plays cause play go ham on lights more so then musicals I find, which is really good cause it’s kinda like an all in one.

Need a character to fall:

Search Aerial or acrobatic skills. This also works for characters who are upside down (I used a trapeze ref for my link and Zelda drawing)

Need more basic poses:

Search for fashion inspo. Most photos are dynamic enough to give character but basic enough that someone would do it in a most normal setting

Need a high variety of random poses that aren’t super basic and more dynamic:

Go to a dance costume website (I recommend weissmans costumes) you get everything! full body, partial body, Children. It also has different outfits so you can see how fabric flows on the body as well. Also those photos are in a very neutral light so you can see better without harsh shadows

Anyways those are few I use a lot I also use the ol’ reliable person on white background wearing neutral body suit refs can’t go wrong with those. I do find a lot of these especially musicals plays and ballet really help a lot in most of my art.

And of course when you can’t find anything else as a final resort good ol stock photos
