I love your style! Do you have any works/artists that inspire you?
Hi and thanks so much!!! I've been really into looking at 3d works lately - with things like sculpture, wood carving, wood burning, embroidery, and puppetry among others. I feel like in doing almost exclusively digital illustration I've gotten burnt out on/ too used to looking at people who make art in the same ways/ similar to what I do for inspiration rather than going back to looking at the world around me.
For specific folks tho- Disa Wallander and Mateusz Urbanowicz are two artists I really respect and I think helped form how I approach art nowadays! I talked more about this in an old newsletter that I'll link here, but I really think looking art art that focused on lived in spaces helped me discover and develop the approach I have to drawing lately! Disa's is so expressive and fun, her comics are something I think back on a lot. Mateusz' made me rethink how I wanted to approach color and backgrounds.
...The more embarrassing answer to this is that I'm probably most inspired by my friends though. I just don't think a lot of my pals are on tumblr much so idk who i would tag since I don't post here much myself. (sorry that was long winded)

GET URSELF SOME COMICS! HELP OUT SOME PALESTINIAN FAMILIES!
Hello, I have put together a bundle of comics to raise money for those affected by the ongoing g3n0c1de. There are some really really wonderful comics in here by so many amazing artists and 100% of the proceeds go to palestinian gofundmes. The comic I have contributed is a 50 page comic I made in 2019 about starman's daughter and her human boyfriend called A Really Big House, which you can currently ONLY buy through this bundle. So get at it.

My new book is out!!!
LANTERNS OF NEDZU is the story with an original musical score which will soon be released on nedzu.com. The score was composed by longtime collaborator, producer and FRIEND: Tiago Correia-Paulo.
The Story OKOYE is a crab wrangler who’s very attached to his fighting crab. One evening, they win the Nedzu crab championship, but on the way home OKOYE becomes fascinated by a riddle he reads on a paper lantern floating down a small stream near Nedzu village. The love riddle leads him meet a young woman named EFE but it angers his fighting crab who abandons them, jealous of the attention it doesn’t earn from OKOYE that evening. After a brief romance, the crab begins impersonating EFE for OKOYE — who believes that the crab is, in fact, EFE. OKOYE will need the help of his allies. You’ll need to read the story to see how that will happen.
See more images every day on my INSTAGRAM. Read about my work process in this beautiful interview, where you can listen to two of the Nedzu songs. NOTE: The book is in Norwegian and Swedish for now. No English version yet, but I can provide a translation sheet. Colouring: Łukasz Mackiewicz, Disa Wallander, Berliac. Lettering: Håkon Hoffart. Music: Tiago Correia-Paulo Story & drawing: Rui Tenreiro
