I only got partway through this one before deciding the reference photo really wasn’t that great, and I’m going to delete it, but despite the angle really throwing off my perspective and the scale I did like at least part of what I got:

the reference was initially saved for a couple of one of my sister’s characters but as I have a couple that rides double as well (Arric and Raya) it turned into them. Thank you!

"This is going to be the best prank in the history of pranks." Wally snickered, watching Dick pour out the windex from the bottle. "I know, I know. You have to stay hidden while you record it though. I don't want B to see you." Once all the windex was out, Dick started filling the bottle with water and then pouring it out, making sure it was really clean. "He's going to get so mad, you know that right?" Wallu was fiddling with the video camera he found. It got way better quality videos than any other regular camera, so when wally and Dick would watch back the footage after, it would be more like a movie.

"Yeah, I know. But, it'll be so worth it in the end. Okay, we're ready!" Dick exclaimed after pouring in the blue Gatorade. Wally was literally vibrating with excitement as he followed Dick into the Cave. Bruce would be back in about 5 minutes, and he had told Dick to wait in the cave for him so they could work on a suit upgrade. Wally raced to hide behind one of the unfinished suits turning on the video camera and trying to hold in his laughter. Dick took out his phone and scrolled through Tumblr, liking about every post complimenting Nightwing. Bruce strolled in casually, wearing a very formal suit and black sunglasses. Hed just arriced from dealing with bruce wayne things "Ready to get to work?" He asked, pulling the sunglasses off to look Dick in the eyes. "Sure, lemme just get a quick drink." Dick murmured, and Bruce waited patiently as Dick walked over to the workbench where there was the windex bottle.

Wally was almost choking on his muffled laughter, trying to hold the camera straight. Dick unscrewed the top of the bottle, and Bruce tilted his head to the side, obviously confused. Dick tilted the bottle back and drank the Gatorade, successfully hiding his large smile.

A moment passed.

Bruce lunged at Dick and almost knocked the bottle out of his hands. "Dick That's poisonous! You know that" Bruce was rightfully horrified, attempting to grab the bottle away. Dick was pulling it back, and managed to get another sip in. "Dick, STOP! What  is wrong with you? Did you get gassed... mind controlled?" Bruce was trying his best to analyse but it was getting a little hard to stop his voice was from shaking. Was the kid TRYING to kill himself? He tried to channel his batman persona but a situation like this called for bruce the dad not batman the knight.

"It's good!" Dick pointed out, taking another sip of it. Bruce ripped the bottle out of his hands and poured it all on the floor, not even caring about the mess. Alfred could clean it up later. Why had dick done thia? Out of all his children hed expect eithier tim or Jason to be the one to deliberarley injest poision not Dick. "Dick! We have to get you to the Medbay now! I cannot believe you just did that. We have to get your stomach pumped, and you must be drunk or something to think that Windex is able to be consumed by humans." Bruce or was it batman growled, pulling Dick toward the door before Wally burst out laughing, and so did Dick "O-Oh my god, I cannot! That was so much better than even I could imagine!" Wally choked out between laughs, and Dick was rolling on the floor laughing. What is going on?" Bruce demanded That only made him laugh harder and Wally stopped filming, setting the camera on the workbench. "It was a prank, old man! There's Gatorade in the bottle, not Windex." Dick explained, motioning to the spilled liquid on the floor. That was when it made sense.

Dick recieved the infamout Batglare.

Dick stood up and sat on the couch, hiccupping with laughter still. Wally sat beside him and they high fived, laughing. "You're going to give me gray hairs. Im telling Alfred"

"Sorry, B but it was just too funny of an idea to pass up." Dick had stopped laughing, but still had a bright smile on his face. 

"No Cereal for a Month Master Dick" Alfred announced from upstairs.

Dick looked horrified.

Wally started laughing again, and fell off the couch.

I can just see Bruce’s “no thoughts, head empty” look when he sees Dick drink the windex. And then scene computes. And he’s like that terrified pet owner who just saw his beloved companion swallow plastic and is just trying to pry his jaw open, yelling “WHATCHA GOT IN YOUR MOUTH!?” And “SPIT IT OUT RIGHT NOW!!!!”

Bruce totally has five more gray hairs after this ordeal 😭🤣

urgh i want to write a post about how the arrival of the combine and their conquering of earth would give tise to a lot of really weird people, cults, social division, religious extremeism, and scape goating of any variety of people (mostly the already marginalized) that would cause a lot of rifts amonst people in ways not even the combine were aiming for, that would all be super interesting to investigate how it might hurt efforts to organize for humanities freedom in addition to the combined efforts, but also just the new genres of people youd be able to find at rhe intersection of their prewar identities and the new identities

becuz while i do love a good world where all the bigotry in the world died with the arrical of the combine, i do not think they would all just die out like that or lose tbeir bigotries in the process of living

however said post id like to write cannot be wrigten now becuz it is soso lates and i am trykng soso hards to sleeps, but know my vision is there, it exists

Go grocery shopping with: Arric. I have a feeling he might appreciate a set task with known parameters.

Have lunch with: Merian. I think she might like the time-bound nature of a meal for chatting, though one can always linger over the check if she's enjoying the conversation.

Have coffee with: Wynn. I think some really good conversation could result and he would enjoy getting to see all the drinks available at a coffee shop.

Go thrift shopping with: Raya. I think she would have fun and I could benefit from her eye for colour and her creativity!

Explore a museum/art gallery/aquarium with: Arrol. I actually have no idea how we'd get along or what he'd enjoy, but one can always surreptitiously lose the other in this sort of setting if need be.

Go the library/bookstore with: Caliam. We'd find some books that have dyslexic-friendly font and see if that helps. Then he can go raid the games section.

Have as a plus-one at a wedding: Erandir. He would enjoy getting to chat with everyone and would rejoice for the bride and groom, even if he didn't really know them.

actually i am mad that once again we are bringing v///arric back when there are several other companions who should have shown up again previously, and who would be so much more interesting to see in the world as thedas is in the timeline of the game.

adding like. idk it feels just hamfisted at this point. there were several points in the games and extended medias that would have been perf to bring back companions that i know a lot of people want to see!!!!!!!

but no. its always the dwarf they wont let anyone fuck. i used to love him and in a way i still do but im just irritated every time hes involved now like. god damn.

So I started GMing a new Pathfinder 2e campaign last night and I figured I'd put a synopsis and other fun stuff here. We spent about the first hour struggling with our Forge VTT(the product is great, I'm just a noobie with it so it took a few tries to get things right) The map above is made in Inkarnate btw, another product I highly recommend for GMs or someone doing world building.

For starters the world is a nameless one that I honestly just refer to as the Continent right now for lack of a better term. I have about 300 pages of google docs and maps built out for this world that I started creating over quarantine in 2020. The name of this campaign arc is titled "Frost Barley" because of a tough strain of crops that has been developed here in the north of the Blodrake Kingdom(1/3 of the powers in the land). This new influx of money and capital to the area has also caused an influx of raiders, bandits, and others looking to take advantage. The party arrived in the town of Winterrane Plains(above), and were introduced to the Frostbreath Outriders(Think part knights watch, part mercenary company, part riders of Rohan) and drafted into their Auxiliary.

The party is as follows; the first to arrive was Arric, an Strix Gunslinger riding a horse sized chicken with twin pistols on his hips. The next to arrive was Steve, a mage covered head to toe in wrapped bandages and with a strong desire towards gold and other precious metals. The next to arrive was Derron Kewn Tanunuv(points to anyone who can figure out the name) who is "half orc and half badass from the town of Gold's Gym" a monk who put all his skill points into the lore:war skill but is still pretty handy with his orcish knuckle daggers. Next to arrive was Dyaven, a human magus with a combination gun-sword, a trenchcoat, and a bad attitude. Finally it was Najela Chestertail's turn to arrive, she was wearing a blue sailors coat and wielding a long curved sword covered in rings that made quite the racket.

After meeting the lord of the Outriders and eating a simple dinner, the members of squad 20 headed to Peter's Shop in the main square of town and purchased some winter clothing so that they were better equipped to deal with the punishing conditions of the winter. The mission they had received was to head to Underlake Farm and make sure the Underlake family was alright and didn't need for anything.

The session ended with the squad about to head into the Slumbering Den, the only bar and inn in the town to grab a drink.

We'll see what the next session will bring, but as a seasoned GM I know to always have stats for a bar fight prepared.
