Isaac Arellanes in Ghostwriter on Apple TV+

I have watched Ghostwriter and I can say that Isaac as Ruben is good but not what draws me to the show. I think that his costar Justin Sanchez, who plays Curtis, is a more complex character and does well. I would rather him be nominated or at least in supporting actor.

I just became aware that Isaac Arellanes is Indigenous. He is from the Hopi Coyote Clan. He is the first Indigenous actor to be nominated for a Daytime Emmy. This raises his chances as it would show representation to a much ignored community.

I honestly can’t find any clips of her acting. I only found the episodes of the show. The show isn’t the normal half hour program. The episodes are less than 15 minutes. So I don’t know if the length of the episodes and the platform it is on will hinder this actress’s chances or not.

Bianca/Chiara D’Ambrosio in The Bay on Popstar!TV

I am putting these two together since they are twins and in the same show. When I looked them up there is more stuff about them having a YouTube channel versus them as actors. I looked up the show they are on and it honestly looks like a run of the mill daytime soap opera. I don’t think it should qualify for the Children’s Programming Emmys because it doesn’t fit that definition. It is also on a platform that I have never heard of. The chances of either of these girls getting the award is slim in my mind.

Madison Reyes in Julie and the Phantoms on Netflix

I have watched Julie and the Phantoms and can say Madison shows depth as Julie and portrays the character authentically. The show also showcases her musical talent very well. Julie and the Phantoms is her first project but she has garnered a solid fan base.

Amir Wilson in The Letter for the King on Netflix

I have not seen this show and honestly thought it was a movie when seeing it on Netflix. I, however, have seen Amir in His Dark Materials and would say he is a good actor. My issue is that the nomination is not for that but The Letter for the King. I thought the show was more adult or mature in nature based on the movie cover. Besides that, it was cancelled after one season and also is adapted from a Dutch book. So not a lot of people would have been drawn to it from the get go. If Amir’s acting in The Letter for the King is anything like it is in His Dark Materials, he is s serious contender for the award.
