Wanted to reblog to let y’all know I got new references for the outfit Baron wears in Nandor’s Army via @/reticulesbymadeline on Instagram! They’re an extremely talented textile artist who’s designed several pieces for the WWDITS cast, and I figured this would be a good opportunity to shout them out (last pic is a piece worn by Nadja!). I wish we could’ve seen the Baron wear this outfit in one more episode so we’d get more time to appreciate all the little details (and so I’d have references from more than 2 angles lol)

Recently I got a bday gift, which was a cameo recorded by amazing actor Doug Jones himself.

Honestly, I've never felt happier! (and I couldn't recommend it more!!! 10 out of 10 if you want a nice heartwarming cameo as well) Anyways, after watching some WWDITS I felt like I had to draw the Baron Afanas himself in that iconic pose and I am happy with the result hah

These are the actual Polaroids taken in the foyer of the vampire house during the opening scene of last night’s episode 9 of WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS’ on FX (and today on the Hulu). ‘Nandor’ shot these of me as the fabulous ‘Baron Afanas’ before another big night for me!

Baron Afanas is such self esteem and attitude goals. He was accidentally charred down to basically a torso, arm, and head. Buried in the ground, thought dead. Came back in said form. Still lived his best life. Started his own family with The Sire and Hellhound. Got a cute house in the woods. Was wished back into full form, looking better than ever. Didn't let it go to his head. He is so approachable. And he gives advice. He is everything!
