After wandering the empty halls of Tumblr and finding next to no Silk and Steel content...... I realise that the book might not be very popular. That's interesting.

Does this mean...... I can totally promote it? 🤩 Will the author mind? Oh dear. I'll be totally bias though, and favour my favourite character.

Had a thought

Was thinking about how in Silk & Steel, the first dragons were made of things like Diamonds, Gold, Bronze, and other Earthly minerals and such. And the idea of dragons made from the minerals and stones of Earth is already good.

And then, I thought: Salt Dragons.

I haven't read the spinoff books so don't know if those are considered. But imagine a kingdom of dragons with scales of salt. And then they have 2 different Salt Dragons. Land Salt dragons, and Sea Salt dragons.

I just finished reading Primal Sin (1st book in the series by ariana nash) and I enjoyed it immensely! I read it within a week (it was short, and i was hooked). Angel x Demon, enemies to lovers. They were soul-bonded! They were overwhelmed with lust & ~emotion~! They were discovering the power of love-- until everything went to shit!!! Secrets were found out/lies were exposed (the demon had been masquerading as an angel)!! aaaaaahhhh the suspense is killing meeee. even when I was about halfway thru I was like "oh yup I'm gonna need the whole series" and ordered them, they should be here Sunday or Monday. I NEED to see how they get back together (and if the war ever ends like that'd be cool). There better be make-up sex, crying confessions, and tender embracing🤞

Not enough people have read The Prince's Assassin trilogy by Ariana Nash and I'm not okay with that 😩

After reading the Captive Prince trilogy I was sure I wouldn't be able to find another series that hits the same but fuck did this series do it! Genuine enemies to lovers, high fantasy with a fascinating system, royal family betrayal and intrigue, canon disabled and traumatized characters whose trauma is shown, and a final few chapters that made me cry bitch

So freaking good and I need someone to scream into the void with

So, like...Fallout 4 x Silk & Steel by Ariana Nash AU fanfic?

Where the Sole Survivor/Sole's spouse had fought in part of the war against dragons. They won the battle in Canada, he went home. The war wasn't over yet, but those who won that battle in Canada were allowed to take a breather, go home to their families for the time being.

But then, one day, dragons started flying towards where Sole lives with their spouse and baby, there was already plans to nuke dragon hordes should they come and attack and vaults nearby for their safety (or so they think, Vault-Tec don't care about no stinkin safety). Sole and their family run to a vault. Get frozen, yada yada. Maybe the Institute is now replaced with more cruel elves? Humans who think a pure pre-war person might be better aid for them? Dragons who want to bring humans back only to serve them?

Anyways, Sole not only leaves the vault to find their world was ravaged, but that the dragons not only survived, but mutated from normal minerals like bronze and gold and such, to gems like diamonds and amethyst etc.

Of course, the Minutemen would be people who just want to help anyone find peace and safety.

No clue how the Railroad would change. Maybe they would be a group in support of the very very few good dragons around? (I don't know if there's more, I've only gotten the main 3 books)

BoS would definitely be against anything even hinting that any dragons could be peaceful, feel like they'd want things to be "pure" and therefor also hate elves.

Would companions change, however? Would any of them be better as elves? Or as the few good dragons? Or are the all humans still, living in the ruins of Massachusetts, with the fear of dragons now?

And, well, there was a fear with the dragons in Silk & Steel similar to synths, how they'd be able to blend well with people since the dragons have human forms.

If you've read any Silk & Steel, I say go for this fic if you wanna write it.
