How I feel each Imperial would react if you interrupted them mid-shower.
Konstantine: *covers chest and crotch* "The AUDACITY!!"
Pryce: *only covers chest* *angry threats of execution* "How DARE you!!!*
Aresko: *Shrieks* *covers whole body with shower curtain*
Lyste: *completely forgets he's naked, salutes* "Where am I needed?"
Grint: *punches you in face*
Yularen: *defeated sigh* *covertly covers crotch* "PLEASE tell me this is an emergency."
Kallus: *Covers crotch, turns bright red* *indignant spluttering* "Do you MIND???"
Thrawn: *covers nothing* *confused thinking face* "Fascinating...."
-------------
Bonus: *Open curtain and find a very soggy Zeb, turned away*
Kallus: *peeks out from around Zeb's shoulder*
Zeb: *laughs*

Because my new f/os made me wonder about this ...
If you have an f/o who's not usually referred to by their first name, but instead their last name, a nickname, or something like a title or honorific, how to you refer to them? This can apply both to how they are addressed in-universe in their source material and/or how they are commonly referred to in the fandom.

I want to order a new set of Kallus headcanons, thank you ♥️
Sdkldjsfhsdkjhfdkjs one order of freshly baked Kallus headcanons, coming right up 🖤
Kallus has no favourite music, because he never takes time to listen to any. For years, if anyone asked him that question, he would dutifully answer "The Imperial March", but even that one he never really paid attention to. In the Empire this never bothered him, but the incredulous reactions he gets in the Rebellion when people find out he never listens to music make him feel slightly insecure.
Whilst not an artist like Sabine, he can draw reasonably well, as long as it's drawing something he knows. His specialty is structural drawings and schematics; he can come up with a complete lay-out of a building even if he's only seen it in the heat of a fight. This skill comes in very handy in his work in Rebel Intelligence.
After Kanan's death, he subconsciously feels responsible for Hera. He would never presume taking Kanan's place (would be impossible anyway, considering Zeb called dibs on him years ago), but in his own awkward way he tries to look after her. Hera sees this, and appreciates him for it.
He joined the Rebellion to take down the Empire, but never really thought about what would happen if they would reinstate the Republic. As such, once they win and his work transitions from fighting against the Empire to keeping the Republic's peace, he once again has difficulty adjusting, fiercely reminded of his time as an Imperial.
He deeply hates Grand Moff Tarkin, especially since the man had Aresko and Grint killed. He never liked those two, incompetent and bumbling as they were, but the way and the reason Tarkin killed them triggered him very badly, reminding him of his first unit on Onderon.
He'll die before admitting it, but he loves being Zeb's little spoon. Finally someone has his back, in more ways than one ;-;

I'm super jealous of that period in time where they used to make figures of the most obscure star wars characters ever!
And now I'm frothing at the mouth, muttering under my breath, gnashing teeth, etc. about how the characters I'd like figures of had actual speaking roles and proper screen time and and and--

The Grand Inquisitor killing Grint and Aresko is such a massive tonal shift from all the previous episodes. Like, “Haha this is just a fun Disney Stars Wars cartoon for kids—“ DUAL DECAPITATION. I’m so into it I want those stakes RAISED!

utterly convinced fry reverse engineered the brenquisitor relationship in secret academy from the decisive moment tarkin orders the execution of the directors of lothal academy
Tumblr media Tumblr media
it is such a loaded, pivotal ground zero for two future defectors to meet the empire's true face here, its taste for its own blood. & then by contrast, you have the grand inquisitor who steels himself before the act, but why? he, of all imperials, is more intimately aware of his empire's internecine nature, perpetuates & is subject to it so routinely that fortifying himself in this moment comes across as offbeat.
"i am concerned by what you allow him to represent by failing to stop him" holds SO much more weight after you read secret academy & understand tarkin has been monitoring brendol's own attempt at self-preservation by bucking the system.
Tumblr media
the grand inquisitor's involvement in brendol's plans is heavily implied throughout the text from their unorthodox interactions & knowledge of each other's private goals. tarkin is obviously not speaking to aresko & grint here. he's speaking to everyone else in the room, but he only faces the grand inquisitor as he speaks these words, a warning, before he commands he kill an academy's commandant.

Chapter Title: Tales of the Spectres: Ezra
Fandom: Star Wars Rebels
Rating: M
Character(s): Ezra Bridger, Myles Grint, Cumberlayne Aresko, Yogar Lyste, Kanan Jarrus
Genre: Angst and Hurt/Comfort
Summary: Before they were “a crew, a team, in some ways family”, the individual members of the Spectres were always running, never knowing that their paths were being slowly, inevitably, guided towards each other.
AO3, FFNet
@spectre-week
FINISHED OH MY GOSH. Loved doing this one.
Preview:
An untidy mop of dark hair peeked out from behind the alley wall. Bright blue eyes made a quick sweep of the street, sizing up his target, and then his head ducked back behind the tan stone.
Ezra leaned back out from cover, this time priming his slingshot.

Ezra's Gamble Notes Pt.1
Friends, I was not expecting the book 'Ezra's Gamble' to be such a goldmine of lore. 😭 I'm gonna need to talk about this in multiple posts.
What I've got so far:
-----SPOILERS------
First of all, the foreword: "For Alan Harris, who is a much nicer fellow than Bossk." Harris was Bossk's actor. ❤
The book takes place pre-Spark of Rebellion
We literally start the book with Ezra at the Lothal spaceport pickpocketing and finessing people out of their valuables.
He walks up to a rich-looking Chagrian wearing an Imperial pin and being followed by four blue Twi'leks and manages to sell him 5 tickets for a private booth at a gladiatorial cage match (that the Chagrian is implied to want to keep secret). Ezra finesses him out of 700 credits, then also steals his Imperial pin, his ring, wrist-comm and half his money pouch.
He winks at one of the Twi'leks and all of them giggle, one of them winks back at him. (He's 14)
He meets up with a Xexto named Ferpil Wallaway who is actually the one who taught Ezra how to steal!!
The cage-match ticket money gets sent to the commissioner, then Ferpil pays Ezra for his loot at the Pawn-shop he owns on Lothal.
Ezra gets flagged down by a red-haired friend (also 14) named Moreena Krai. Her family is leaving Lothal because Imperials condemned their farm and took it from them.
Y'all I was not ready when she said she was moving to Alderaan. 😭🥺
Moreena starts to get sad about Ezra being alone, Ezra cuts her off and says "Don't ever feel sad for me. I've always done just fine on my own, and I always will." BOY TELL THAT TO HERA. 💚
He briefly wonders if he'll ever get to steal a TIE pilot helmet. (Spoilers, he does lol)
Lore for Bossk: his ship 'Hound's Tooth' is a modified Corellian Engineering Corporation YV-666 freighter. He's employed by the Bounty Hunter Guild and his Imperial Peace-keeping Certificate number is #55946112.
Bossk was headed to Lothal searching for a Dug named Gronson "Shifty" Takkaro who was wanted for jumping bail in the Ahakista System.
Bossk picked up the bounty from the Imperial Enforcement DataCore.
Bossk's ship was scanned by the Imperial Spaceport and the official talking to him immediately transferred his call to ISB HQ. (He was on hold for 30 seconds.)
ISB Lieutenant Herdringer talks to him and tries to send Stormtroopers to arrest Shifty rather than let Bossk collect.
Bossk counters saying Herdringer would be interfering with the authorized acquisition of a government bounty. Herdringer realizes that would be bad for him.
Herdringer actually wants Bossk to not use firepower as Shifty is in a civilian sector. Bossk says okay, but still brings his Mortar gun. Bossk gets escorted to the spaceport by TIE fighters which Bossk thinks is WAY too conspicuous.
This random academy propaganda played on a speaker at the spaceport though: "You too can be a part of the Imperial family! Don't just dream about applying for the Academy, make it come true! You can find a career in space: Exploration, Starfleet, or Merchant Service. Choose from Navigation, Engineering, Space Medicine, Contact/Liason, and more! If you have the right stuff to take on the universe, and standardized examination scores that meet the requirements, dispatch your application to the Academy Screening Office, care of the Commandant (Aresko), and join the ranks of the proud!" ---(I wonder how Kallus felt about hearing that kind of stuff, I'm assuming his office was soundproofed, but he did still technically work in the same building as the school, and seemed used to having things delivered to him by cadets, im sure he heard it occasionally.)
Ezra knew what a Trandoshan was on sight. He tried sneaking up on Bossk's ship, but Bossk snuck up on him first.
Bossk appeared to be avoiding his stormtrooper escort and asked Ezra (who actually gave his real name!) Where the tavern he was looking for was.
He's very suspicious of Ezra and warns him against snooping in his ship and notices his weapon right away. "An energy slinghot. Cute."
Ezra tries to finagle 100 credits out of Bossk for information. Bossk says he doesn't have time to haggle and will give him 1000 credits for help. Ezra demands 500 up front and Bossk pays him. He also politely gives Ezra his name.
He only refers to Ezra as "Shorty" and insists that "to you, its MR. Bossk" lol.
--------
Will continue to take notes, this is fun!!

Alex💙:
~These are points that have most certainly been touched on before by others, I'm just musing over the thoughts and analysis again~
Currently just thinking about how between s2e14 to s2e17 Kallus was most certainly at his lowest point.
The man has made failure after failure, and then even to the point where the laws of nature and physics were on his side, that there was no logical way The Ghost Crew should've been able to escape, he had them pinned to an exploded starcluster. And then they still managed to pull a miraculous win over him.
By the end of s2e14, no one had challenged him, especially not to the point where the mere existence and survival of The Ghost Crew had.
And it wasn't just his personal pride and abilities that were being challenged. Kallus had a harsh reminder about where repeated failure will lead you back in s1e13 when Moff Tarkin had the Grand Inquisitor dispose of Grint & Aresko, whose inability to handle the same rebels was giving allowance for dangers against the Empire. Their repeated failure proved that they were of no more use to the empire.
So, by the start of s2e14, with the combination of these factors Kallus knew he was running low on chances and was currently running on borrowed time. So for him to have had them pinned, with no possible way for escape, if he couldn't capture them, he would ensure that they will be destroyed, only for them to still escape. He came to another harsh realization. He was never going to succeed.
So the mission on the base above Geonosis was not one he was planning on actually working. He only had a couple dozen men with him compared to all the resources he had previously. His goal and purpose for this was that if he was going to be going down, he was going to make damn sure he dragged at least one of the ghost crew down with him. And it was going to be the one that he was most obsessed with, had a more intense connection to.
And this most certainly wasn't the first time he's thrown caution to the wind for a desperate attempt. (As his actions/words back in s1e3, to me, seemed... very rash and reckless, even if for a logical one up to provoking Zeb. What he said itself made sense to do for its purpose, but there was much tone and energy around it that was not of sound m decision making.)
A portion of Kallus’s The Empire Is Growing spiel felt that he wasn't just trying to convince Zeb, and it's not that he didn't believe it himself and was trying to convince himself of it, but maybe felt more like grasping for straws.
---I may come back later and continue my thoughts. I've run out of time, but there's several layers to the significance of Zeb and Kallus’s interactions, especially on Bahryn, but not limited to Bahryn.---
Seth💚:I gotchu- In other words, Kallus hit his lowest point, got trapped on Bahryn with Zeb, Zeb called him a coward, and then Zeb triple dog dared him to actually take a moment to have a single critical thought go through his brain.

You ever get that feeling like you're f/o-ing characters by proxy? Like, you don't necessarily want to f/o them yourself, but you still want them to be f/os to someone and see other people self ship with them? Well, because I think I do ...
So I started rewatching Star Wars Rebels a few weeks ago and oh boy I think my dormant Star Wars hyperfixation is no longer dormant but instead coming back full force - AND NOW I WANT TO SEE THESE DORKS GETTING KISSES GODDAMMIT
These are just the first few that came to my mind but there's more (it's just that it's half past 5am and my brain is soup), but I'd love to see some self-inserts (or OCs) being shipped with them! And even if you don't like Imperials you could also just make them defect with/for you😌
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In oder: Lieutenant Yogar Lyste, Commandant Cumberlayne Aresko, Minister Maketh Tua, Admiral Kassius Konstantine, Agent Alexsandr Kallus, Grand Admiral Thrawn
I wasn't quite sure about including Kallus (bottom left) and Thrawn (bottom right) in this list, because 1. they're not nearly as underrated as the others (although I haven't really seen them around in the self ship community), and 2. I also very much ship Kallus with Zeb (I'm rarely crazy about canon x canon pairings but those two are really cute), and well Thrawn is also on my own f/o list anyway xD (I usually don't mind sharing though)
Bonus: Admiral Yularen, however I prefer his look in The Clone Wars, but he makes an appearance in Rebels too!
Tumblr media
(I really want to rewatch TCW as well once I'm finished with Rebels it's always been such a joy to watch when I was younger😭 I hope I can get my sister to watch it together with me like we used to)

From the video you posted yesterday, how would it be in an au if Tua never died, and she just expressed her feelings to Pryce, who knew Thrawn and Eli?
I finally have a response to this :D
So my take on this AU, where Tua and Pryce are together, would be Tua expressing to Pryce her problems and her fears after the execution of Grint and Aresko. Pryce is a little close to the Chimaera Trio in this AU too, and she asks them a favor.
They manage to save Tua from the explosion, but now Tua has to hide out, so Pryce keeps her hidden in her home in Coruscant, away from Lothal. Then Pryce commits her own act of treason in Batonn, so she hides away with Tua.
In the end, Thrawn sends the three of them to the Ascendancy for safety and usefulness.
