Oh god. That episode where Ross laughs because Mark says "see you Saturday." To Rachel

And he doesn't ask Rachel about it on the way to dinner, no, he brings it up to her when they're in bed like she's in trouble. Like she's doing something really stupid and bad and she's in trouble for it and it made my skin crawl

"Don't you have enough friends?"

His behaviour is appalling in that episode. Not a surprise. It wasn't like Rachel declared they were on a break because he was just being annoying. That's some controlling and emotionally abusive behavior

He thinks he can tell her who she can be friends with and when Rachel explains that she's friends with Mark because no one else is as much of a fashion nerd as she is, Ross insists he should be the one who goes with Rachel to the lecture and not Mark

So Rachel takes him because he's pretending to take an interest. And once he's there he falls asleep, embarrasses Rachel by snoring all the way through a 45 minute lecture

And then complains about how stupid the lecture was once they got home once Rachel brings him up on it

He knew how much the lecture mattered to her and how much having someone to talk about that stuff with mattered to her and he didn't care because the attention wasn't on him
