Levi rolled his eyes. "It's a cat… an old cat. He's not going to develop anything."

"Don't say that to our child!" she insisted.

"Our?"

"I can't believe it," she huffed, turning away. "Men never take responsibility. I'm taking the baby!"

Lying on his back, belly exposed like a fluffy white cloud, Clauws opened his mouth wide, trying to catch the stick Hange was swiping too fast for him to follow. After a few failed attempts, he just lay there, mouth open, pupils blown wide in confusion.

"Hehehe, he's a cutie," the commander chuckled, kneeling beside the cat.

"He's kinda stupid," Levi muttered again, watching the cat completely fail to catch the stick.

"Did you know that cats have the cognitive abilities of a two- to three-year-old toddler?"

A brief silence.

"Are you telling me I've been calling a three-year-old toddler fat, stupid, and adopted?"

"Why would you even say that to a cat?"

The fresh stink of fish from the kitchen filled Levi’s office as he squatted down next to the animal, scratching behind his ears while the cat purred, savoring the treat.

"Sorry, buddy…" Levi sighed. "You're fat and adopted, but I meant it nicely."He paused, rubbing the cat’s head. "If it makes you feel better, at least someone wanted you. I was just abandoned."

The fact that Levi lost his Ackerman abilities makes me think about how his back is gonna start hurting when you two have sex so it's easier for him when you ride. But the first time it happens, he is flabbergasted.

You hear him hiss and it immediately pulls you out of the mood. "Levi? You okay?" You look at your husband, a worried expression on your face. "My back fucking hurts." Immediately, you push him to lay down and you sit up, you can see the disappointment on his face. "You're getting old." Teasing him, you run your fingers through his hair that now has a few streaks of white. "Do you want me to get you pain killers?" Your hands gently rubs up and down his bicep. "No." He responded quickly, not wanting to admit that he needs it. But you know him too well and chuckle kissing his cheek. "I'll be right back." After a few minutes you come back with the medicine and Levi drinks it. You lay back in the bed, still half naked and before you can do anything Levi pulls you back on top of him. "Levi your back-" "It won't hurt like this. You can still ride me." He places kisses down your jaw before helping you to take off your panties.
