Like after he distances himself from the whole killing thing, he still keeps all his (non-gun) weapons and likes to do tricks with them =] I also like to think that he's an artist and just sketches still lifes in his free time. No matter how much Spence teaches him to swim, Lenny just can't get it ;-; like he's tried at least 10 times but he still can only barely keep himself afloat. So he usually just stays by the pool while Spence swims, but sometimes Spence manages to convince Lenny to join him ^^ I think that after the events of the pact, that Lenny will still go to the boarding school but as an actual student this time. So he gets convinced to join more fun classes and ends up really like school instead of dreading it (he also gets tested for dyslexia and the head school lady helps him with learning good strategies for memorization). Also, inspired by that one line of his, I like to think that Lenny has an interest in photography =]]] AND ALSO HE JOINS LIKE A FIGHT/MARTIAL ARTS CLUB AT SCHOOL OR SMTH LIKE THAT because he's awesome and I need him to make more friends

Spence: he's autistic. Sorry many I don't make the rules (I do) he's just so autism to me. I think that after he testifies for the trials and all that that he also goes back to the boarding school, and bonus he starts growing his hair back out =>>> (and the first time that Spence has to wear a cap to swim, Lenny laughs at him so hard). Also, mainly because I really like calling him Spence, I like to think that he decides to keep going by the name steven (stephen??) spencer, in addition to greg (bcuz he doesn't really wanna relive his old life, and he'd rather start anew) but he doesn't get upset when ppl call him greg he's just like 'yeah okay.' Mr. Crawling is the protective type. He spends half of the entire game following you wherever you go and going through great lengths to protect you from the other residents of these cursed apartments. However, I can see how that protectiveness can get twisted in the long run when you remain completely helpless and unable to defend yourself. Mr. Crawling would have no choice but to step in and make decisions for you instead because he cannot afford to lose you just like that.

Out of all the homicipher men, mr. Crawling is the one who has the most respect for your choices and boundaries. He leaves when you tell him to, patiently guides you throughout this maze, and comforts you when you are upset— and he's never violent unless threatened.

Such a sweet and gentle guy would never hurt you intentionally. He loves you too much to hurt you.

That being said, though he'll never intentionally hurt you, he doesn't realize it whenever he's being possessive and suffocating you instead. After all, having wandered these halls for so long has desensitized him to violence and made him forget all his human memories. Simply put, his concept of love is warped in its own way. He doesn't understand nor remember how to healthily love another person by societal standards, but he (usually) means well.

He may not understand love but he knows one thing for sure— you're very precious to him. You're so full of life, so kind (to him), and so persistent to find your way home despite everything. Everyone else just kind of does their own thing around there... but you need him. You give him purpose and he's ready to give himself up for you in return.

But as much as he respects you, he knows you sometimes don't know any better. You almost got yourself killed multiple times despite his numerous warnings, and he's not confident you completely understand him just yet. So whenever he feels as though something got lost in translation, he won't hesitate to push you aside or cover for you in that instance. Thankfully, you can now regenerate your limbs.

You don't know any better. This sentiment becomes a mantra that repeats itself in his head over and over again. The two of you haven't made any significant progress on finding an exit, but you've almost died more than a dozen times by now. How are you supposed to survive without him?

What even is your home like? How can he be sure that you aren't going to get yourself killed over there too? Can he follow you there too to protect you? Can't you just stay here with him instead? Would that be so terrible? Of course he wants you to find whatever you're looking for...! it's just that...

The thought of losing you only intensifies his anxiety and over-protectiveness. Whether by departure or death, he cannot stand to be apart from you. Why are you so eager to leave this place anyway?

Mr. Crawling is gentle, but love can force him to be violent. He's not as cruel as the rest, but it doesn't mean he won't be when you're put in danger, especially when his possessiveness and overprotectiveness spiral out of control. He doesn't want to restrict you in any way because he loves and respects you too much to do that, but you just keep getting yourself in trouble. He overcompensates and goes overboard instead trying to protect you, even if it means killing someone.

And the thought of you moving on and forgetting him depresses him. He knows you had a life before this, but he wants a life with you in it. He'll be selfish just this once, but never again. He'll make sure you're safe here you so don't worry about that! Just don't leave him. Just stay with him, please.

It starts little by little. He starts telling you to rest more often and misleading you farther away from the elevator. Sometimes, when you tell him to leave you alone, he pretends not to understand you anymore. When he sees that dreaded green light from a distance, he tells you there is something malicious up ahead. In times like these, he's glad you're so blindly trusting of every word he says. It's difficult for him to watch your resolve break down, but it's for the best. When you're with him, you're safe and that all that's matters.

I can see some of the others like Ms. Bride and Mr. Silvair being in on it. Ms. Bride is very excited that her wedding garments will be used for their actual purpose this time whereas Mr. Silvair finds your unconventional relationship an interesting area of study. Whenever you find yourself 'lost' (escape from Mr. Crawling), they will redirect you back to him.

Eventually, you do give up. Maybe you even become more monstrous by the day and accept that you're better off here. He loved your persistence, but maybe he can show you giving up and that staying here isn't so bad. After all, you have him. He makes sure to be extra affectionate and cuddly after you give up <3

You'll learn to accept it, won't you? For him? Whatever's beyond those elevator doors can't possibly be better than being loved unconditionally and safe within his arms. You're even free to be yourself down here! You can be as violent as you want, and Mr. Crawling will happily watch you bludgeon someone to death on the sidelines with nothing but adoration.

including your safety, mostly because of jerome

his childhood made him put up this shield around him and it wasn't easy to let you into his life - but once he did he shielded you even more than he ever did for himself

if it was up to him, you'd never leave his super-secure home/facility, because he's that worried

and many times he's begged you do to so

out of sheer sense of protectiveness over you

but staying in a windowless bunker is not really easy for many people

and he knows that he can't really argue you on that, so all he has left is worrying until you're back

you always were back, and he had to fight the urge to beg you not to ever leave again

the post-transformation jeremiah is also insanely protective- with the added effect of more confidence is slight obsessiveness

his obsessiveness would be much more subtle than one that his brother displayed - jeremiah would just always know where you are and who you're with

he would go to actual insane measures to protect you; he'd burn entire cities if it meant keeping you safe

both before and after the transformation he's not really the best at communicating his feelings, but his way of making up for it is acts of service - subtle before transformation and less subtle after the transformation

oddly enough, he also became a lot more openly romantic than before, with grand, dramatic gestures

not that he wasn't romantic before; just in a lot more shy and delicate way

One of his greatest features is that he uses his quirk to either warm you up or cool you down according to the weather.

He always gives you his jacket even without you asking because he knows that his scent calms you down and also ensures that you're warm.

This might seem gross, but on the contrary, it's not the case for him, but he allows you to spit out the food you didn't like on his hand.

Dennis Reynolds is AUTISTIC!!!!

(At least, I headcanon him as such).

Here's why:

Sensory issues:

If you've watched the show, you probably already know what I mean, but Dennis really struggles to deal with sensory input. When there's a loud noise, he often covers his ears- like in Family Fight:

or he gets frustrated, lashing out at diners for being too loud (The Gang Dines Out), getting annoyed at Frank for chewing gum too loud.

It's worth noting that later on in this episode, Dennis can hear Frank chewing gum from the other room. He's clearly hypersensitive, and perhaps this even goes to explaining a little bit why his room is soundproofed? Could it be that rather than not wanting people to hear what's going on inside, he's desperate to block the noise coming from outside?? (this was suggested by @kod-lyoko , and I LOVE IT).

There are SO many examples of Dennis plugging his ears (often when the others don't react in such a strong way):

There are way too many examples to list here, and too many images I could give (the above were taken from @dennisboobs ' gif set) but hopefully you get the impression.

Social issues:

I feel like this one is pretty self-evident, but I find deconstructing the things Dennis does super fun, so I'm going to explain anyway: Dennis does NOT know how relationships work. There are a great deal of factors at play to cause this (I would argue that his early experiences in life definitely moulded his view in an unhelpful way) but the systematic way he looks at interactions REEKS of autism to me.

The DENNIS system is hardly peak autism representation (it's certainly not the bright and bubbly stuff people often talk about), but the fact that he has a system for romantic/sexual interactions, both for men AND women, feels super autistic-coded. He quite literally has a script which he follows to make interactions easier, one which he sticks to rigidly. And if anybody tries to implement this carefully thought out system incorrectly? Well, he'll let you know (e.g in The Dennis System episode where he blows up at Mac and Charlie for not getting it right at the fair).

He masks his social deficits well, but sometimes things don't go to plan. Sometimes, the girl on the cruise ship runs away, and Dennis announces that 'that's not supposed to happen'.

He comes off as creepy, but that's not his intention. He doesn't understand the way he's perceived by others in general- he thinks he's the King of St Joseph's, not realising he was actually an outcast all along. Just like a lot of autistic people, he didn't understand that he was on the fringes of society until it was thrust in his face, and that hurt.

Speech:

While Dennis often appears to speak pretty normally, there are a few occasions where his frustration causes this mask of normality to slip.

In The Gang Finds a Dumpster Baby, Dennis is caught off guard by the hipster's reading of him, and immediately goes back to Frank and Charlie, parroting almost the same words he heard right back to them, despite not seeming to understand them at all (perhaps a form of echolalia?).

"I'm out here trying to make a difference, and you're over here rummaging around in the trash like a couple of narcs! Okay, you can't just come down here with your mainline cashmere, mousse... quaff... hairspray, and start being like, a suburban tool!"

It's also worth noting that even the poetic way he speaks when he's angry could be a trait ?? As a recently diagnosed autistic person, in my report they spoke about how I used 'idiosyncratic' language (basically, peculiar language lol), and listed terms like 'connoisseur', which I guess were deemed pretty formal for casual conversation.

And it got me thinking, who else do we know who uses VERY idiosyncratic language? Dennis. Reynolds.

"The thunder of my vengeance will echo through these halls, like the gust of a thousand winds"

"Begone, vile man, begone from me!... I am untethered and my rage knows no bounds!"

"You didn't tell me there was to be pollen!"

Etc... etc...

The way he repeats 'savages, idiots!' during his rage at the frat bros feels very autism coded to me. Repetition of certain words and phrases is common!

Heightened emotions:

Again, something that I didn't know until I myself was diagnosed is that for a lot of autistic people, we spend most of the time at a pretty 'flat' emotional state, but when we do experience emotions, we experience them intensely. Frustration turns into anger, sadness turns into despair, happiness turns into ecstasy- it's why some autistic people might be misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder!

This, of course, fits well with the way Dennis experiences emotions. He spends a lot of the time believing he doesn't have any at all, and when he does feel something, it's overwhelming.

"And I have feelings! Of course I have feelings, I have big feelings, okay? And it hurts."

These lines hit hard regardless of the extra weight you put on them, but when you see them through the lens of autism, through the lens of a lifetime of misunderstanding and overstimulation, it makes them hit even harder.

It hurts him to feel. His emotions are so strong that they're painful, and he's never been taught how to deal with them, because nobody even knew he had them in the first place.

Stimming:

Finally, I think Dennis stims. A lot. If you search up 'Dennis Reynolds autistic' on this very site, you'll find gifsets and videos illustrating this.

He has a few very common ones, like tugging on his earlobe when he's anxious, playing with his fingers, etc, but if you pay attention to him even when he's in the background of scenes, you'll pick up on a lot. Dennis is constantly moving, and while you could suggest this is simply a result of Glenn's ADHD, I'd argue that some of these stims happen so frequently in Sunny specifically, that there's no way they're coincidental.

Glenn makes a lot of very specific acting and directorial choices in Sunny, so why dismiss these as choices too?

That's all I can be bothered to type up now, but here's my case for Autistic!Dennis ! Of course, he's a complex character so there's always room for different interpretations...

but as an autistic person, I hereby claim him as One Of Us™.

Remember how I said Swap was inexperienced and needed some time adjusting to a relationship? Same here tbh.

Granted Fell isn't completely naive nor does he have zero relationship experience, he's had hook ups, the occasional date and has certainly tried his hand at it but like?

A serious committed relationship when he's deeply invested in the person and that sentiment is 100% returned? He's out of his element

It takes a level of patience on your part, he's not a bad partner, he loves yous and god dammit he's trying! But he's utterly shit at communication, impulsive, impatient, insensitive and can be an asshole even when he's not trying to be

Doesn't help the fact that there is a part of him scared that you will leave, hurt him, betray him, and he can lash out about those feelings real easily.

You two will find your rhythm eventually, but it's not instant and even then he makes it clear he is trying his best, he apologizes when he can in his own round about way, he tries to be sweet without seeming "soft", etc, etc.

After being together for awhile you've properly got everything settled in, not that you'll ever stop having issues (that's part of being a couple) but you've basically got everything sorted out allowing a new level of comfort

A very jealous guy tbh, it once again ties back into some underlying insecurities but generally he just doesn't like it when anyone gets too close. He'll frequently insert himself into conversations or just pull you into an embrace while glaring at the poor fucker in question

I was very happy to be able to participate and even more happy to finally share a headcanon i've had for years about Bisky and Wing's meeting.

I don't know how clear it is but basically, Wing is a young nen user who happens to have been taken in by a big criminal family. The boss is using his abilities to forge precious gems from cheap materials, passing them as precious gems he bought for his collection. As a renown collector, he also sells the gems and makes tons of money from it. As Wing's skills become sharper though, his forged gems become more and more precious, making it difficult to tell them apart from real ones.

Having sold a good gem in a batch of "bad" ones, the boss is trying to get it back, framing his client as a thief. He calls for Bisky (a "young" hunter with a good resume) planning to trick her into committing insurance fraud in his place. Unfortunately, she's got a better eye than he thought, and asks for the good gem as compensation.

Feeling antsy about his money, the boss accepts, already planning to get rid of her once the job is done.

Bisky can sense the residual nen from Wing the moment she meets him, that's why she demands he comes with her. She wants to make sure at first that this is a normal child in the wrong place rather than the boss's actual associate.

Making him her disciple just came along the way because she honestly didn't know what to do with that kid LOL but didn't want to return him to a bad place. Also, she saw his potential. Here's a rejected final page (rejected bc I couldn't tie the text properly and wasn't very happy with the visual) where it's a bit clearer that she's got back with the good gem and values it a lot BECAUSE it was made by Wing. (also metaphor, analogy blabla)

I love teachers/masters in stories, i love that trope so much!! It's always so interesting to me to have someone older and wiser share their knowledge with the young waiting for nothing in return. Jamil knew that it wasn't his place to judge

after all, being raised with the al-Asims, he'd been taught to keep his bitter thoughts to himself

but something about your carelessness reminded him all too much of Kalim

...okay... maybe you weren't exactly partying, or spacing out, but your complete lack of conviction is almost identical

and, so, Jamil decides to give you a word of advice the day before the big exam

"Worried about tomorrow's History of Magic test?"

he even gives you a big smile, trying to play it off as a casual question

you shrug. "Eh, not really,"

"If I were you, I'd be a little more concerned. The grading system is very strict at NRC,"

and with that, he's gone

his sly remark, spoken as if in friendly conversation, leaves him feeling a little more satisfied with himself

he doesn't even feel irked when Kalim nearly sleeps through the test, or when he forgets his notes, or when he absent-mindedly reads the questions aloud during...

in fact, Jamil is quite confident that in any case, you'll do much worse than Kalim, which saves the both of them

after the exam scores are posted in the hall, you find him

"What did you get?"

Jamil hates answering these kinds of questions, especially knowing that he could be in the top of the class if he was allowed to try. "Passing. And you?"

"Well..." you smile. "I really thought about what you said, so I studied this morning."

Jamil's sour mood at his own score seems to lighten

Riddle stops dead in his tracks as Trein posts the exam results on the wall behind you

It was supposed to be just another Saturday morning in which you and Joel went grocery shopping for the weekend

He hadn't worked that morning, so he was extra affectionate after the incredible lazy sex you two had in the morning

He pushed the shopping cart with one hand as the other wrapped around your waist; he simply loved that cute outfit you were wearing, your summer blouse was his favorite color and your damn tight jeans showing perfectly how sexy your ass was, was enough to make his jeans tight

You looked up at him and realized he had forgotten to brush his hair, it was time for him to get a haircut as his curls were beginning to get wild, but you also loved them that way

You ran your fingers through his hair to put it back into place, but loving how it felt under your touch, giggling at him

"you're so handsome, Joel"

He pulled you closer, your body pressed tight against his at the same time his hand ran up and down your side gently

You two talked about your plans for the weekend, placing the things in your cart distractedly, just having a mundane moment between a married couple

You looked into his eyes, you didn't know what was up, but Joel was just so effortless handsome that morning, he looked so relaxed and you just couldn't help yourself, leaning in and pecking his lips gently

He was about to deepen the kiss, for once not bothering about the PDA, when a voice interrupted the two of you

His ex, Sarah's mom stood in front of you shocked, pushing her own shopping cart and not believing the coincidence of running into the ex she'd abandoned along with few-month-old baby

You could see Joel tensed up immediately and in a blink of an eye your relaxed husband was gone at the same time the woman stared harshly at you. You recognized some of the features you've seen on Sarah on the woman's face

And you were pretty sure you'd seen at least a couple of pictures of a younger version of that woman, still pregnant, and a very young Joel. It'd been Tommy who showed you once he was helping his brother clean up the garage, as both your husband and Sarah didn't like seeing pictures of the woman who abandoned them

"Come on Joel, let's go honey…"

You suggested it, taking him by the arm and pulling him with you, but his ex smirked as her eyes ran to your hands seeing the beautiful engagement ring and the wedding band you always wore

"You gave her a ring, Joel… a fancy one, seems like things are going good for you, you even got a young thing to cook and clean for you"

She teased and you could tell he was running out of patience, you already hated that woman, she left, abandoning her husband and daughter and the moment she ran into him again, she couldn't even ask about her, instead she was more concerned about the jewelry your husband had given you

"You don't get to talk about my wife that way, we don't owe you any explanation, you left me and our daughter, who's doing great by the way, not that you care in anyway"

"I've already told you many times I wasn't made for motherhood, Joel, you got me pregnant and I didn't want to live a miserable life next to you and a child I didn't know how to raise"

Joel's veins began popping at her words, you could tell he was holding himself back and trying to control his anger but that woman was able to get under his skin in a way you had never seen before

You placed your hand on his arm and asked him to leave, before their interaction could escalate to a fight or something like that, you just wished you hadn't bumped into that woman

He clenched his jaw but nodded at you and began pushing the cart towards another direction and walked away; you could see she was ready to give a snarky remarks but you took a step closer and stared deadly into her eyes

"You chose to walk away from them and Joel suffered too much because of that, not only him, your daughter too, of course, but eventually they managed to forget about you and now Joel's happy because I make him happy, yeah, I'm younger and I clean and cook but I also love my husband and I love to know I'll always be better than you at everything. You're a bad person and it's no one's fault but your own you are a miserable person"

You left the woman behind and you managed to reach Joel standing in line to pay for the groceries; you could tell he was deep in thought and you let him be, knowing he needed some time to process what happened

The ride home was silent and you didn't say much, and the few things you'd said Joel either didn't reply or just mumbled an answer, and you knew it wasn't a great time for conversation

Once you got home, you put the groceries away and asked Joel what he wanted for lunch, but he just said he wasn't hungry so you nodded and just made yourself a sandwich

In the afternoon you didn't have much to do, so you sat down to read a book and ended up falling asleep while Joel stayed outside doing some hard work here and there and keeping himself busy

You woke up and saw him in the backyard, sighing and going to the kitchen. Even if he wasn't angry with you, you still felt upset that woman had to ruin a seeming perfect day

You wanted to distract yourself so you grabbed some ingredients and started sorting things out to bake a cake, at least you could use something to sweeten your day

You were distracting following the recipe when you felt arms wrapping around your waist and a big presence holding you

You looked up at Joel, who rested his chin on your shoulder, sighing and keeping you close

"I'm sorry darling, I just got really angry with her and I didn't want to take out on you… I-"

You silenced him with a kiss, his arms so tight around your body, holding you as if you were the most precious stone he'd ever seen, you were too good for him and he was sure he didn't deserve you but there you were, his wife, the real love of his life and that was what really mattered to him, you two were meant to be ❤️

Sure!! I did random ones :3 Gender-neutral reader!

Charles is a living furnace. Even if he's cold, he'll be running much hotter than you are. It makes for both good and bad evenings spent together. Laying on him for a while never fails to be comfortable at first, but unless it's freezing outside you'll wake up feeling — and sweating — like you were tucked in a Dutch oven all night.

Often times, you try to keep him company as he stands guard. Key word: try. Charles is always focused while on duty, falling into this near-disassociated headspace of both zoned out and tuned in. It'll take him a while to understand that you just want to spend time with him, or miss him. Reading a book nearby while he watches the treeline is valuable time together, anyways.

Easing into conversation is not his strong suit, especially if he's very invested in the answer to whatever question he's thought of or if he's got an observation he'd like to share. Be ready to talk about some deep shit well past midnight, or to have him ask about your relationship with your parents like he's talking about the weather.

Less stressful conversations are started the same way. Charles rarely breaks a silence first, unless he takes special note of it and grows anxious. Unlike how he feels about most people, he quite likes your conversation, and so he feels a need to make his end of it meaty. He's shown you how to pack a pipe, how to whittle various little tools, and other things that are useful enough to pass as worthy of telling you.

Charles is both bad and great at comforting you. After a while, he'll figure out what you respond to the best, whether that's physical comfort or talking things out. If you ask him for something in tears, he'll break a few bones — his or another's — to get it to you. But if you've got no idea what to do, he doesn't really, either. And he's not apt to start lying to you of all people, and in a vulnerable state like that, to boot.

In more romantic moments, he'd like to think you will leave a stain on one another's lives. When you haven't got much, you start to carry pieces of everything that's not yours to make up for it; ask Charles to describe a stranger from every year of his life, and he can tell you how they looked and why he thinks of them still. Lonely people tend to treat life like a story, and he was lonely for a long time.

Charles can dish out the tooth-rotting nonsense, but he can't always take it. Expect a lot of filler words and crutch phrases if you ever open your heart and then prod more than an I love you, too out of him afterwards, because his usual reaction is to smile or kiss you and let his brain go completely empty for a minute.
