I would love to see you and Akihiko fight about it. Oh, you don't mean with me. I'm sure Akihiko would enjoy watching you and me fight about it. Oh, not him either? That's fair.

Mitsuru has this moment of talking about Akihiko getting more mature and it fucking HIT ME. It hit me that Akihiko is her Junpei. My god. Two leader ladies who are supported by boys who are well-meaning but sometimes hilariously obtuse but with fight to the mat for them. Holy shit.

Aigis is finally back and remains on team Kill Ryoji, and is all torn up about slowly becoming a real gorl. It's hard, being a kid and growing up. etc etc

She gets her Persona Glowup too and its hilariously unsubtle.

Palladion becomes Athena. So the Pallas, the shield/emblem becomes the real thing. Of course. What else could her persona evolve into, honest to god.

Everyone resolves to not kill Ryoji and try to fight Nix. It's cute because Yukari and Mitsuru decide together, Ken and Akihiko talk about it, and Fuuka and Junpei meet and discuss it. That leaves Aigis, and by process of elimination (sorry Koromaru) I have to convince her. It's nice and symmetrical.

Also wow Yukari/Mitsuru is some classique "we can't say they're girlfriends but they are girlfriends" shit that the game doesn't really shy away from in the way I remember P4 urgently reassuring everyone HAHA NO ONE IS GAY HERE EVERYONE IS HETERO. There are many days I miss this kind of "we are implying everything but cannot say it outright" thing to the cowardly bullshit of today. BUT ANYWAY.

Ryoji shows up and is like "hey please kill me" and i'm like "nah that leads to the shitty non-standard game over i bet" and ryoji is like "okay but pleeeeeeease kill me" and I'm like "listen man i would if i could okay"

My thoughts on the Arisato twins AU

Cutting off here for spoilers because we're going STRAIGHT back to the P3 MC Origin Story tm, as well as March 5th

I think the most plausible way of making this happen without ruining the canon timeline is that one of them died along with their parents in the crash, and that's why there's only one alive in the game. That just ends there, and all it really does is bring them into the same canon universe.

So maybe you have a battle party of 3—MC, their twin, and Yukari—for the first few days of Tartarus, then Junpei comes into the picture as a Persona user and you have a party of 4 for the Priestess boss.

HOWEVER, I saw a post that implied that they both survived and only one of them had Death sealed away inside of them (of course which one it is depends on which side of the reality coin you're going with), and that definitely also works. In this situation, I imagine that both have Personas. They awaken simultaneously on the rooftop, wanting to protect Yukari and running on the Wild Card/MC "I am thou thou art I" awakening instinct that we've seen a lot of. They work together on that first battle, with the twin of your choice using Thanatos and the other using his/her version of Orpheus. (there's also the possibility that Death was sealed into both of them because idk. Fantasy twin magic logic. But that's not the hypothetical that I'm discussing here, largely because it would complicate gameplay a lot and require outright changes to the canon storyline.) The big question is, are they both Wild Cards? (I'm imagining them sitting together in the Velvet Room making simultaneous fusion decisions because blah blah blah twin Wild Card magic) I would assume not, since having two WCs would be BUSTED as FUCK and kind of ruin gameplay balance. Or maybe they could swap out so you can only have one in battle at a time... Also, are they elected as co-leaders of the team? It's certainly a possibility, based on Akihiko's reasoning of MC having battle experience. In that case, though, what would really be the point of that? If not a Wild Card, MC's twin would just be a regular team member, and they're not even a playable MC—why give them a pointless title of leader if the playable MC is making all the actual decisions anyway? It's kind of a PQ situation, really. Like, the leader you choose not to play will be called "Vice-Leader," but you don't even have to keep him in your team. You can go the whole game with just your chosen leader if you really want to.

For the issue of the Nyx fight and 3/5: Only the playable twin will take the final hit. Now, I really want the remaining twin to be the playable MC of The Answer, but that story is so deeply entwined with Aigis that I feel like some issues would arise. Also, you know... It's literally Episode Aigis. But I really feel like the twin would be equally if not more affected by MC's death. What do we do with a grief-stricken teen who has now lost their entire family... Hmm. Maybe just leave them in a therapist's office while the rest of us go on another adventure and find closure.

Yuki hummed happily as she stepped through the dorms of Garreg Mach Monastery, boxes of chocolates in her arms.

She finally arrived at the entrance to House Isekai’s classroom and opened the door.

Inside, Byleth, Megumi, Towa, Sharon, Doomguy, Sara, Angelica, and Cocytus turned to look at her.

(Megumi) “Yuki-chan?”

(Angelica) “Oh yikes, that’s a lotta boxes!”

Angelica, Sharon, Doomguy, and Towa walked over to Yuki and helped take some of the boxes.

Each one of them had a box yet Yuki still had a tower in her arms as she sat them down on the table.

(Yuki) “Whew, thank you! That was getting heavy!”

(Sara) “Are these chocolates?”

(Yuki) “Yup! I made these with Mercedes, Ashe, and Dedue! We made it for everyone in House Isekai!”

Yuki excitedly grabbed the boxes and handed them individually to the staff members.

(Byleth) “We appreciate it, but what’s the occasion?”

(Yuki) “Well, Fodlan seems to share the same calendar as most of us, and right now it’s February 14th! Which means its Valentine’s day! Normally these are given to the people you love in our world, so that’s why I’m giving it to everyone!”

(Byleth) “Valen...tine’s?”

(Cocytus) “AH, I BELIEVE I HAVE SOME KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THIS HOLIDAY. LORD AINZ HAS MULTIPLE ITEMS WITH THE NAME OF VALENTINES, RANGING FROM ARMOR TO WEAPONS WITH HEARTS ON THEM.”

(Sara) “...So, when you say hearts you mean-”

(Cocytus) “NOT ACTUAL HEARTS.”

(Sara) “Ok, figured. Just wanted to make sure, we never know with your group-”

(Towa) “A-Anyways! Yuki, thank you so much!”

(Megumi) “You still have a lot of boxes Yuki-chan, do you need our help?”

(Yuki) “Nope! I know you guys are really busy, so leave it all to me!”

(Sharon) “If that is what you wish. Again, thank you very much, Miss Yuki!”

Yuki saluted the staff and walked off with significantly less boxes in her arms.

Doomguy was the first one to open his box of chocolates.

It seemed fairly standard, heart shaped chocolates, but several appeared to be something similar to dog treats. They had the label “For Daisy.”

And more importantly, he had a note specifically for him.

“For Slayer: Thank you for being so nice, even though you can be really scary!”

Doomguy was seen smiling through his helmet as everyone else opened theirs.

“For Towa: Thank you for working so hard!”

“For Angelica: Thank you for not hitting on us!”

“For Cocytus: Thank you for teaching Kurumi how to fight!”

“For Sara: Thank you for looking out for us and Megunee!”

“For Sharon: Thank you for being House Isekai’s retainer!”

“For Byleth: Thank you for everything you’ve done for us!”

“For Megu-nee: Thank you for being the best teacher ever!”

Everyone looked back at the door smiling. Except Angelica.

(Megumi) “Yuki-chan...”

(Sara) “Hah, bet she’ll lighten someone’s day.”

After saying hello to Yuri and the other Ashen Wolves, they directed Yuki to where Ainz’s group was.

Ainz knocked on the door politely and waited.

There was no response for a minute before she heard something behind her.

Turning around, Demiurge was right in front of her, looking down.

(Demiurge) “Ah, Miss Takeya. To what do we owe the pleasure?”

(Yuki) “Valentine’s Day! I’m giving everyone some chocolates, including you Mister Demiurge!”

He took a moment to examine one of the boxes and sure enough, there were labels for each member, including Ainz.

Demiurge nodded and opened the door for her.

(Demiurge) “Right this way.”

As she followed Demiurge, she failed to notice that several members were now eyeing her suspiciously.

(Shalltear) “Oh, it’s her.”

(Aura) “Weird, Yuki’s got a lot of boxes.”

Demiurge stopped in front of Ainz, who was in the center of the room with Albedo, overlooking a war table of some sort.

Ainz looked at Demiurge, then at Yuki.

(Ainz) “I see we have a delivery.”

(Demiurge) “So it would seem, my lord.”

(Yuki) “Yup, I got a box for everyone here!”

This made Ainz curious. Yuki making something for them?

(Ainz) “Everyone, to the center of the room.”

Everyone in the room dropped what they were doing and followed Ainz’s instruction, getting on one knee.

Ainz grabbed a box and opened it up.

“For Ainz: Thank you for being a good friend to everyone, despite our differences!”

(Ainz) “Ah, a Valentine’s box.”

(Yuki) “Oh, you know what it is too, Ainz?”

(Ainz) Lots of Valentine’s events happened when I was playing Yggdrasil. Never cared too much about these since I never had a girlfriend or whatever but...eh. Made for fun collectables throughout the years. Why discard this one? “Yes, I do. Thank you very much.”

(Shalltear and Albedo) “WHAT?!”

[Shut up, lower life form - Overlord OST]

Ainz immediately noticed that they were frothing with rage.

(Ainz) Shit! That’s right, they think this is solely romantic! “AHEM! Do you have a problem with this gift, you two?”

(Albedo) “Of course, Lord Ainz! How could the man I love accept a gift so precious and romantic from...FROM HER OF ALL PEOPLE?!”

(Shalltear) “IT’S UNACCEPTABLE!”

Yuki grabbed their boxes and happily walked over to them.

Albedo and Shalltear looked at each other with an eyebrow raised, then opened the box.

“For Shalltear: Thank you for protecting us when we’re in the Monastery!”

“For Albedo: Thank you for protecting us when we’re in battles!”

(Albedo & Shalltear) “...Oh.”

Demiurge, Aura, Mare, Sebas, Pandora’s Actor and the Pleiades got their chocolates as well.

“For Demiurge: Thank you for giving us the knowledge of Fodlan!”

“For Aura & Mare: Thank you for being someone the younger students of House Isekai can talk to!”

“For Sebas: Thank you for helping Sharon and the other staff out!”

“For Pandora’s Actor: Thank you for always making us laugh with your fantastic performances!”

(Yuki) “Anyways, that’s all I wanted to do! Thank you for your time!”

Yuki bowed and quickly left the room.

Ainz slowly turned to Albedo and Shalltear, who started sweating.

(Ainz) “Of all the people to be skeptical of, you really chose Yuki...?”

Everyone turned to the door and saw Yuki unloading chocolates.

(Yukari) “Jeez, the year flew by so fast!”

As Yuki handed the chocolates out, some of S.E.E.S spoke amongst themselves.

(Akihiko) “Can’t believe she’s the same age as us.”

(Mitsuru) “It is a bit weird, isn’t it?”

(Shinjiro) “Who cares how old she is? She’s more considerate than some people I know here.”

(Akihiko) “Hmph.”

(Koromaru) Bark!

(Aigis) “Yuki-chan, Koromaru wishes to have some chocolates.”

(Yuki) “Oh, sorry! I don’t think you can eat any of these, but don’t worry! We did make a tasty treat for you!”

Koromaru wagged his tail excitedly.

(Ken) “Thanks, Yuki-senpai!”

(Junpei) “I think this is the first time I’ve gotten chocolates from a girl-”

(Yukari) “Jeez, Stupei! Is that ALL you can think of right now?! This is obviously friendship chocolate!”

(Junpei) “Hey, what’s that supposed to mean? I was just makin’ an observation!”

(Fuuka) “A-Anyways, thank you so much!”

(Yuki) “Sure thing!”

(Minato) “...You could at least say thank you before stuffing your face, Minako.”

Minato rolled his eyes and finally noticed the note written to him.

Kazuma didn’t say anything as he smiled, looking at the box.

He shook his head and continued fishing, putting a chocolate in his mouth.

(Kazuma) “...Being so nice, huh?”

(Yuuri) “Welcome back, Yuki-chan.”

(Kurumi) “Busy day, I take it?”

(Miki) “Are those boxes?”

(Yuki) “Yup, handed them out to everyone in House Isekai! I saved the best group for last!”

Yuki gave the final three boxes to them and smiled.

(Yuki) “Happy Valentine’s!”

“For Yuuri: Thank you for getting us through the hard times we had in our world, and for never failing to look out for us, even when it hurts yourself to..”

“For Kurumi: Thank you for protecting the three of us, from last world and even now.”

“For Miki: Thank you for becoming my friend, and for joining the School-Living Club.”

Yuuri put the chocolate down and smiled. She gave Yuki a hug, which Kurumi joined in.

(Kurumi) “Come on, not gonna join in?”

(Miki) “I-I think I’m good, thank you!”

(Kurumi) “GET OVER HERE-”

(Miki) “WAH!?-”

Kurumi reached over and had Miki join in the group hug.

Miki was flustered for a moment before just sighing and embracing her fate.

Yuki had a tear running down her eye as she hugged them back.

(Yuki) “W-Why...am I crying? We’re all together...So...Why...?”

(Everyone) “...”

Yuuri, Kurumi, and Miki hugged each other tighter as sniffles from Yuki were beginning to grow louder.

Megumi looked through the door and wanted to say something, but heard a voice behind her.

(Sara) “...You haven’t told Yuki what happened to you, yet?”

(Megumi) “...No. I’ve been trying to find the right time.”

She smiled at seeing her students safe. Even though she didn’t know Miki all too well, she was glad they had found another survivor.

That means there were still people alive other than them. There had to be.

(Sara) “Well, I won’t tell you when to speak to them but, if you don’t act, then you may lose that chance forever. Not many people get a second chance like you.”

Megumi stared at her arm where the infected’s bite used to be. It was thanks to Aqua that she didn’t turn.

(Megumi) “...Right.”

Sara smiled and hit Megumi’s shoulder.

(Sara) “Come on, let’s grab a drink together. We can complain about our single lives together this Valentine’s.”

(Megumi) “Huh? But that’s never been an issue for me-”

(Sara) “Tonight it will!”

Megumi sighed but smiled, it was going to be a lively night.

Yuki opened the door and saw Megumi walk off with Sara. She wanted to say something to her but instead just smiled.

(Yuki) “I can speak with Megunee later...”

Nodding, she walked through the dorms, humming to herself. Her Valentine’s day plan was a success.

Guess this kinda gives away how I feel on Valentine’s, huh? 

To me, Valentine’s is a day where you give appreciation to the people you love. Friends, family, whoever means a lot to you.

So, this is kinda my lame way of saying I appreciate everyone who follows this blog.

If it weren’t for you guys, I wouldn’t have been able to make a blog of this caliber, write something that means so much to me, or even just have fun stupid ideas with ya’ll.

I’ve been writing on tumblr for a long while, but I think this is the first valentine’s where I’ve written something from the heart.

Being able to appreciate House Isekai, something I hold dear to me, with ya’ll.

I hope you all can appreciate this too, with many more posts to come, especially Shadowbringers!

Persona 3 The Movie #4 - Winter of Rebirth: Full Circle

If you follow this blog, then I'm sure you could tell that after literal years of delay and no small amount of procrastination, I finally watched the last Persona 3 movie. Well, I started watching it last week, but I placed it on hold around the halfway point, just after the big turning point. I would have continued it this week anyway, but when the 5th rolled around, I knew I had to finish it last night.

Well, it's quite a dour film, in the beginning. In the face of their imminent demise, the S.E.E.S. slowly succumb to depression. I'm not quite sure how to describe it, but the movie progresses through distinct phases throughout the first half; I found it rather noticeably structured. That isn't detrimental at all, though, quite the opposite. The like shots and similar cinematography effectively compound the oppressive, despondent atmosphere whilst displaying their incremental descent into depair.

Furthermore, the same technique amplifies the subsequent emotional crest as the cast rediscovers their will to live. I didn't expect to cry so soon, but I was really moved. This was in no small part encouraged by the movie's theme, 'My Testimony', which, like the first's, 'More Than One Heart', perfectly reflects our protagonist, who has come to see the brilliance of life.

Incidentally, even familiar dialogue calls back throughout the second half. But it's never hollow nostalgia, rather it emphasises their growth and development throughout the last year. I particularly liked Makoto's confrontation with Aigis, which I thought kind of mirrored her consolation in the last film when he was withdrawing once again.

In this case, Elizabeth appears as Makoto seriously considers killing Ryouji. Regrettably, the film is able to only touch upon her character arc, which I feel does not justify her later decision to leave the Velvet Room, an action taken in the post credits. However, it certainly increased their rapport, which I felt was lacking until now.

At any rate, between the intervention of Elizabeth and the late Shinjirou (if you believe Akihiko), S.E.E.S. recovers fromt their lowest point and resolves to struggle against Nyx until the very end. This is where the second distinct half of the film begins, but it's largely an extended action setpiece. I didn’t dislike it, but I have a few criticisms I’d like to state.

During their final ascent, Misturu, Yukari, Ken, and Fuuka stay behind upon a lower level to hold off an army of Shadows. On the next plateau, Akihiko, Junpei, and Aigis spur Makoto on as they are confronted by Strega. In the midst of their battle, the depths of their determination awakens their Ultimate Personae. It’s not bad at all, but I felt it fell somewhat flat. I wondered before viewing if this would be the time they would insert the main theme. I think it would have been rousing to watch their Personae evolve as they fought for life. I suppose I hoped for something like the climactic scene of the Investigation Team’s battle against Ame-no-Sagiri in Persona 4 The Animation.

Furthermore, I would criticise their decision to delay Makoto’s evokation of Messiah, his ultimate Persona, until just before he sets out for Nyx’s main body.

Aside from the superior version of its track, what gives me goosebumps in the same scene ingame was that he had no Persona. He is beyond Persona. He simply stands up, like so much was force was nothing, and takes off without looking back. It’s understated, I suppose. But it’s just that which I felt made it so powerful. And so was the final battle. Most importantly, the same is true of the moment. That silent moment in which he unleashes The Universe. And yet, the movie continues instead with its final rendition of Burn My Dread, followed by the immediate destruction of both Tartarus and Nyx’s main body. It’s far too much.

With The Fall prevented, the film shortly skips to the 5th of March: Graduation Day. Whereas you’re granted a few days in game while his condition deteriorates, Makoto only remembers it all just minutes before the end. His expressions are heartbreaking as he realises that he is dying. The moment he remembers everything, his strength falters, staggering into Aigis’ arms when he reaches the roof. It’s a small complaint, but it’s blinding up there. I find it very reminiscent of the images I’ve seen of Sailor Moon Crystal. It’s all so saturated that I find it dazzling.

Meanwhile, everyone remembers as they catch sight of the cherry blossoms during Mitsuru’s speech. They wordlessly sprint for the stairs. I actually prefer this to the original scene - in which Mitsuru finishes her speech - as I found it slightly too cheesy. Dashing away without a word really sold their desperation t fulfill their promise.

Eventually, everyone arrives. This time, Makoto could hold on long enough to greet them with a smile I almost burst into tears whilst making a gif of. In the original game, the protagonist slips away before they do, and in a way I prefer its bittersweeter ending. However, the movies truly allowed Makoto to, and emphasised his bonds with the S.E.E.S., so I think that it’s alright. Only, I wish it had been able to include Aigis’ parting words differently, and the accompanying theme, ‘Because I will Protect You’. I’ve spoken about it before, but I don’t believe I’ve ever encounted another brief moment in gaming that I just clung to. Such a long thirty seconds. Even so, it was very saddening to part with this wonderful character. I certainly had tears rolling down my face.

I’m sure I seem very critical of the latter half of this movie. I suppose I am. I’m not satisfied with the liberties they’ve taken in adapting a number of key scenes. To varying extents, I believe they’re spectacle over substance. However, the original content which composes most of the first was fantastic. It’s a dry, depressing month in game, but they were able to fill it with many meaningful scenes that really embelished the ennui of that dark spell.

I never reviewed the others, but I think that it’s true throughout the quartet. Makoto’s character was fantastically well developed. It was a pleasure to see him truly become a leader, gallantly declaring that they would resist The Fall. Ryouji also benefitted greatly, gaining a much stronger character than his original outing, in which he merely exists for a great deal of time. Of course, I would be remiss not to mention Aigis. Whilst her character arc generally conforms to her original plot, I have to praise her chemistry with Makoto. I can’t quite describe it, but their bond was very well realised.

In short, despite a few liberties I wish they hadn’t taken, Winter of Rebirth was a brilliant conclusion. My reservations are near purely subjective complaints. I’m very satisfied with its resolution to this beautiful Journey. I completely recommend the series.

Playing pq2 is so so fun man.

I am having an absolutely blast, the gameplay is awesome and i love love to see the interactions between my favorite characters across the persona games. It is so good, and each ticket and dead end conversation can be so so great to read and see their interactions and so simply fun! Oh god! Dont even get me started on the menu conversations, they can be fun, heartwarming, fOresHadowing(looking at thou akechi and ken convos) and just aaa

While there are some characters i think ended up with the short stick in regards characterization (Chie i am so sorry, in between others), i think a great deal of the cast is a great spot on. I also love the little sprinkles of their backstories hitting a bigger things that happen in the game (akihiko and fighting to be stronger bc he lost someone, shinjiro and akechi convo hitting at their different role, mitsuru, who while hints the superfice of her family big legacy of nearly fucking up the world, also getting to relax with her crew, hitting at her development and so many more)

Also!!! Unison attacks are so amazing!! I absolutely love so so many of them. Yukiko ones are top tier in symbolism and awesomeness, FEMC pull at my heart strings i love them and the family feel of all of them, akira has some great visuals as well, ryuji with kanji and the one with ken,ann and morgana are SO AMAZING IT MAKES ME CRY i love love love how its both kanji and ryuji being friends and awesomeness and ryuji being a great great person and helping with ann and morgana ken to find some fun in his life and to be allowed to be a kid, akechi and naoto tag teaming and being awesome aaa, and thats just the ones that hit me hard in feels and awesomeness

I just really love it. Gameplay wise I have divided my teams into:

main story team - my absolute favorites gang, with akechi, mitsuru, femc(minako since i like the name), naoto, and akira., with a work to keep them at the same level

And

Tickets teams: involving favs as well: yukari, koromaru, ryuji and yusuke. With the last spot constantly changing because i cant for the life of me decide who i love more in between ann, aigis, akihiko and shinjiro.

Dividing the teams in my opinion helps a lot in both diverse gameplay, having fun, and not getting burned out of just using a main team. The change of pace is great and i absolutely love using both teams and seeing their unison attacks.

Anyway, having the heck out a time playing this game. It has some flaws but its a joy of a ride and i love a lot of the interactions and friendship pq2 has

She uses the nuclear skills from p5, and has a big fuck off sword. -Yukari/Hamuko/Aigis RIGHTS! -Minato/Akihiko RIGHTS! -More LGBT Rep! -Not as many social links, mainly cause i’m not a big fan of the P3 SL’s, keeping the party members and a few favorites. -Both Elizabeth and Theodore are included, with the added addition of Theodore staying out of the Attendant fight. Featuring a redesigned Take-Mikauzachi! Rise takes his role as an active party member. -Soukanji rights!!! Yukichie rights!!! Naorise rights!!! -Yosuke, Yosuke is bi. His social link itself is about overcoming his internalized biphobia and homophobia. It’s not his shadow’s main focus, but it’s a part of it. -Rise’s shadow is no longer a pole-dancer! her shadow takes the form of a clown like Rise, putting on a LOVELY carnival (her dungeon) to get people to look at her for who she really is. She finally takes off her make-up in the boss fight, splitting into a bunch of different rise’s and begging her to tell her who “The Real Rise Is?”, kinda like P4TA. -Adachi is dead. Full stop. He does not come back for P4AU. -Speaking of spin-offs, Kanami Mashita! After the events of P4D, she gets a Persona of her own, Laetitae! -Biggggg social link changes. A disguised Kanami, Amnesiac Labrys, and Sho all apear as Social Links. Kanami being The Hanged Man, Labrys being Strength, and Sho as the Moon. Other SL’s changed accordingly. -Marie is still present, and is more integrated into the story. She is one half of Izanami, and willingly erased her memories after seperation. She herself carries Fog with her, and appears...off. She has a too-long shadow, her smile’s a little too wide, her eyes a little too yellow, rain seems to follow her.  -Teddie is not a perv character. He’s close to the plot so I couldn’t write him out??? But he’s not as pervy as he is in canon, just a flirt. Also Teddie’s Bi, so jot that down.  -I really liked the concept that Rise’s non “Risette” personality was harsh and aggressive? So she’s really rough around the edges when she first meets the IT, only warming up to them after her dungeon is completed. Think Severa from FE13. -Overall, a lot more actual truth finding, a lot less homophobia and transphobia. Persona 5 rewrite, titled “Invitation To Freedom”!  -this is the one im most excited for HOLY S H IT -okay so, -redesigns for everyone’s phantom thief attire. especially the girls. Ann’s design is more like, a mix between her persona and Shego from Kim Possible? If that makes sense? Less dominatrix, more cutesy evil queen. (Makoto is more knight like, but is still spiky like a biker, Futaba resembles a video game merchant mixed with a tech super villain, and Haru is full on Musketeer.) -MORGANA ISN’T CREEPILY INTO ANN. NO MORE ANN BEING CONSTANTLY SEXUALIZED. G O D -speaking of Ann, her entire awakening scene is reworked. No more writhing for my girl. She still kicks the sword and kills Cognitive Ann tho. -Pegoryu rights!! Shihoann rights!! Okujima rights!! Kasutaba rights!! -Akechi joins during Kaneshiro’s palace, along with Makoto! Makoto gets herself in too deep thanks to her being over-protective, and Ren folds, saying that they need someone with detective work to help them, and as much as he hates it, Akechi’s probably been onto them for awhile now anyway. -Akechi is still the traitor. -There are not one, not two, but three players in Yaldaboath’s game! Whose’s the third player? Kasumi Yoshizawa! -Kasumi actually has her own team of Phantom Thieves! They interrupt The PT’s antics the palace, messing with them in Mementos, being rascals. her team includes Hifumi Togo, Sho Minazuki (the weird uncle who followed her into the metaverse), and an OC! (She’s currently based oN Hatsune Miku because I do what I want.) [This was inspired by a tumblr post I saw once,] -When I say that Kasumi messes with the PT, I mean like. They have this elaborate plan to steal Madarame’s treasure, but whoops! Kasumi has already swiped the thing and is a making a break for the exit! -Along with the standard chapters, smaller ones will be added to give the reader Kasumi’s perspective! She is also a wild card. -Goro lives and has a palace, sorry atlus!! -That one scene where Ryuji gets beat up for scaring everyone? Not fucking happening babey! -All those extra cells in the Velvet Room? there are only three! This is how Kasumi and Ren figure out each other are Royal (Codename still pending) and Joker. It Was The Best Year

It’s a cruel twist of fate, Kotone thinks, that they have to stay in the love hotel for their trip. Even two years later, the rooms are painfully familiar; she remembers Junpei joking around, remembers Akihiko-senpai getting flustered at seeing her in a towel, remembers smashing mirrors with her naginata. From the extra little twinge in her belly, she knows Makoto feels the same way.

In some ways, Kotone is grateful for Philemon’s deal. It’s given her another chance to live, and to live it with the brother she thought was gone forever. But the toll—she and Makoto sharing emotions and pain—can be a little much. Though, she thinks, he has it worse. He has to deal with my cramps.

They convinced the school administration to let them share a room, and Elizabeth and Theo are next door. She’s glad they came, even though they had to pay for their own room and transportation. Being back on Tatsumi Port Island is easier with them here.

Makoto fakes being sick to get out of the trip to Gekkoukan, and Kotone offers to stay with him, and none of their teachers really care so it works. The four of them sneak to the mall for coffee and spend a quiet afternoon reminiscing. They’re leaving just as Narukami-kun and his friends are arriving, laughing and chattering, and Kotone can’t help the smile that stretches across her face. She wishes S.E.E.S. was more like them.

She feels more than sees Theo reaching out  to her. Things have been… awkward since he broke up with her when she was still Minako. Was “break up” even the right term for what happened? Can you even break up with someone you’re not officially dating? The whole situation is just as confusing now as it was back then. Maybe even more so, now that Theo’s given her a ring. Regardless, he’s been making amends ever since the day late last winter when he showed up on the doorstep of the hotel room Elizabeth was hiding her and Makoto in, so she doesn’t pull away when his hand falls on her shoulder. “Are you okay?” he asks. 

Kotone’s never been good at lying to Theo, so she says, “I wish I— we —could have said a proper goodbye before we—” The word died is unspoken, but heard all the same.

Ahead of them, Makoto’s feet stutter in their stride. He’s felt the rush of emotions she has. His sorrow answers hers.

A contemplative expression takes over Theo’s face. Then, almost too quiet for Kotone to hear, he says, “Elizabeth and I may be able to help with that.”

All four of them end up in Makoto and Kotone’s room. Kotone clambers up onto the bed and rests her head in Theo’s lap. Out of the corner of her eye, she sees Makoto and Elizabeth take up a similar position.

“Only the two of you should remember this dream,” Elizabeth says. “The others will only have vague impressions of it when they wake up.”

Theo continues, “This means you can tell them anything you want; nothing that happens in a dream violates your deal.” Warm fingers press against Kotone’s temples. “Do you two have anything specific in mind for the setting?”

And God, Kotone can feel Makoto’s grin. “Hey, Elizabeth, do you remember that time I took you to Club Escapade?”

The place they end up in looks like the Velvet Room but isn’t quite right. Igor isn’t there, for one, and there’s a disco ball hanging from the ceiling and pulsing neon lights on the walls and loud, bumping music playing from a source Kotone can’t see.

She looks down and sees that her clothes have changed. They look like a modified version of her school uniform—not from Yasogami, but from Gekkoukan. A quick glance at Makoto tells her he’s dressed similarly, and the message is clear. Tonight, they’re Minato and Minako once more.

Minako blinks, and she and her brother are surrounded by the rest of S.E.E.S., who are also dressed in modified school uniforms. They take a moment to take in their surroundings and freezes when they register Minako and Minato’s presence. Minako’s heart leaps into her throat. Her brother reaches out to squeeze her fingers.

Aigis moves first. Of course she does. She wraps an arm around each of their necks and pulls them into a bone-crushing embrace. Her hug is not warm or soft, but it’s so full of love that neither Minako nor Minato complains about the discomfort. “I was supposed to protect you,” she says, and her voice is thick, like she would be crying if she was able to. “Why didn’t you let me?”

“We missed you too, Aigis,” Minato says. 

The sound of his voice seems to act like a trigger, because the rest of their team surges forward, and they’re caught up in a storm of love and affection and relief, and there’s no where else either of them would rather be.

“Wait, Aigis, you’re a Wild Card now?”

Minako, Aigis, Yukari, and Fuuka are all sitting on a couch near the de-facto dance floor, catching up while they watch Mitsuru-senpai try to teach Minato some of her ballet moves. “It happened shortly after your—after graduation,” Aigis says. “We all got trapped in the dorm and had to clear a place similar to Tartarus to escape.” Yukari and Fuuka both shift, uncomfortable, and Minako knows there’s more to the story that they’re not telling her. “Now that I know you two are alive, I’ll channel my new strength into finding you.”

And that’s a headache and a half to think about. Even if Aigis would be able to remember their shared dream, no one knew which timeline Kotone and Makoto existed in. They never wanted to find out. There’s a fifty-fifty chance the wrong Aigis would be the one to remember, and then she’d spend the rest of her life on a wild goose chase.

But Minako doesn’t want to ruin their night, so she just laughs and says, “That would be nice.”

After spending a few more minutes tiring Minato out, Mitsuru-senpai grabs Minako’s wrists and pulls her up to dance instead. She giggles helplessly when Mitsuru-senpai leads her into a dip, wildly inappropriate for the heavy rock music that’s currently playing, and when she’s upright again, Minako says, “Aren’t you in a good mood tonight? Do you have a cute girlfriend taking care of you now?”

Mitsuru-senpai flushes. “Not yet. I’ve been busy with work.”

“The Shadow Operatives, right? Fuuka told me about it.” Minako smiles. “It’s good work, Mitsuru-senpai. I’m glad we can trust you to do it.”

“You and Minato will remember this, right?” Minako nods, and Mitsuru-senpai continues, “Feel free to reach out if you need help with Shadows. Anonymously, of course. We take anonymous requests, too.”

“I’ll keep that in mind.”

The couch has been taken custody of by Minato, Junpei, and Akihiko-senpai when Mitsuru-senpai finally releases her, so Minako plops down into her brother’s lap and wings her legs up to secure the other two. Akihiko-senpai, who is apparently just as useless with girls now as he was in high school, goes red and starts sputtering. Junpei laughs and says, “don’t let Fuuka see you. She might get jealous.”

“She’d be a hypocrite,” Minato snarks. “She loves Minako’s cuddles as much as you.”

Minako laughs, and then her brain catches up with her brother’s words and her eyes go wide. She swivel her head towards Junpei and says, “You and Fuuka are together?”

Junpei, a dumb, lovestruck grin pasted on his face, nods. “For about a year now. After, well, losing Chidori and you guys and the whole trapped-in-the-dorm thing, she was really good for me. Plus everyone else is pairing off, so we just kinda got put together and we found out we liked it.”

“What do you mean, ‘everyone else is pairing off?’” Junpei begins ticking off fingers. “Well, Ken never goes anywhere without Koromaru anymore, Mitsuru-senpai and Akihiko-senpai still have their weird codependency shit going on—” Akihiko-senpai sputters at this, but doesn’t contradict it— “and Yuka0tan and Aigis are living together.”

“Huh,” says Minato. “That’s weird. I didn’t think they got along.”

“They didn’t, for a while. Yuka0tan was pretty resentful of Aigis for becoming a Wild Card. We all figured she inherited from you, y’know, and Yuka-tan was in love with you—”

This makes Minato jolt. “She was what?”

Minako laughs. “You never noticed? She fell for us after Yakushima. It was pretty obvious.”

Minato huffs and says, “Maybe I was just too gay to figure it out,” which sends Junpei and Minako into hysterics and gets a smile out of Akihiko-senpai. 

And then Ken is asking Minato to dance with him, and the conversation is over.

Shinji, surprisingly, doesn’t refuse her request to dance. “I’m sorry,” she tells him, voice low so the others can’t hear, “that I didn’t save you. I could have, but I didn’t.”

He knocks his forehead against the top of her head. “I was sick, y’know. Like Trega. I doubt I would’ve lived much longer anyway.”

“Knowing I stole the last few years of your life isn’t much more comforting.”

“Hey.” The soft tone in his voice compels her to tilt her head up to look at his face. “You took care of the others. That’s all I could have ever asked for. I forgive you.”

Minako lets out a quiet sob.

“And,” Shinji continues, “you have my blessing.”

“What?”

He jerks his head toward the far wall, where Theo and Elizabeth are standing, watching their group dream play out. “The blue guy. He hasn’t taken his eyes off you since this whole thing started. I know what an idiot in love looks like.”

“Theo,” Minako says. “He lived in my Velvet Room. He and Elizabeth are helping us live now. He, uh.” She thinks about the ring on the chain. “He wants to marry me.”

“If you love him, go for it. You deserve to be happy, Minako.”

The relief is instant, like she let go of a breath she’d been holding for a long time. Finally, she feels free.

Kotone wakes up slowly, a lethargy having settled over her body. Theo’s pale hands are no longer cupping her head and have fallen to the comforter instead. He’s snoring softly. It’s cute.

She turns her head to look at Makoto, who is also awake. In unison, they sit up, careful to not disturb Theo and Elizabeth, and they slip out the door and into the hallway. They don’t speak at first. They just lean against the wall opposite their room, each deep in thought. Kotone is surprised when Makoto breaks the silence first. “What did you and Shinjirou-senpai talk about?”

“He gave me his blessing to get married,” she admits quietly. “He said he forgives me for not being able to save him.”

Makoto’s arm wraps around her shoulders and tugs her in for a hug. “I’m happy for you.”

“I’m sorry Ryoji wasn’t there.”

“I know.”

“Maybe we’ll find him in Tokyo.”

“Maybe.”

Then their door swings open and Theo’s frantic face pops out, though he calms significantly at the sight of them unharmed. “I thought something happened! Why aren’t you in bed?”

Makoto’s laugh is silent, but Kotone hits him anyway.

After she gets out of the shower and Makoto gets in, Kotone decides to talk to Theo.

Shinji’s words are a calming mantra in her mind. It’s funny; she’s never felt like she needed permission for anything before, but Shinji’s words are just that.

She and Theo go to Chagall for breakfast. The familiar aroma is comforting. Minako worked here, before. Kotone misses it. They order coffee and pastries and sit at a table in a corner away from the door. It’s still pretty early, so the café is mostly empty, which is nice.

It takes half a cup of coffee to pluck up the courage to speak. “I talked to Shinji last night. Or, well, Shinji’s ghost, or whatever you wanna call it.”

Across from her, Theo freezes. Oh, really?” he asks, his voice carefully emotionless. She knows he doesn’t like talking about Shinji. Well, he doesn’t dislike the topic itself; he just has trouble understanding how she can have platonic feelings for someone she’s had sex with. 

His worldview is still so simple, she thinks. Everything is black and white to him.

“Yeah,” she finally says. “I did.” She reaches under the collar of her uniform shirt and undoes the chain holding the ring he gave her. She holds it out to him, the golden circlet resting in the middle of her palm, and his face falls. She quirks an eyebrow and, before he can say anything, says, “I’m not wearing it until you propose properly.”

It takes him a minute to catch up, but when he does, the smile he gives her makes her stomach do somersaults. He snatches the ring from her hand with an endearing fumble and sinks to one knee. Distantly, Kotone hears the barista gasp, but all her focus is on Theo. He licks his dry lips and says, “Kotone, will you marry me?”

And the thing is, she’s known Theo’s wanted to marry her for a while, but knowing something is different from hearing it, and her heart feels fit to burst. “Nothing could make me happier,” she answers, and Theo takes a moment to shakily slide the ring on her finger before he’s picking her up and spinning her around.

“You deserve happiness.”

“I forgive you.”

Who the heck is my muse anyway:

Shinjiro Aragaki of Persona 3, a founding member of the anti-Shadow group by the name of SEES. A tragic accident involving the then 16-year-old losing control of his Persona and resulting in the death of a single mother caused Shinjiro to leave his team behind one and a half years before the main plot’s timeline and to live in a constant state of self-loathing and guilt over said event, isolating himself from others completely. He initially tries to forget about his trauma, coping in extremely unhealthy ways (both physically and mentally) - though as he is unable to do so, his past catches up with him in the form of a revenge plot and is what eventually leads Shinjiro to an unfortunate fate of either death or a several months long coma, depending on the version of the game.

Points of interest:

1) Despite his scary looks and seemingly tough and intimidating attitude and presence, Shinjiro carries deep down an extremely caring and warm personality, constantly worrying and looking after others. He keeps this trait hidden to his best ability as his desire is to appear strong and reliable, though no matter the effort put into the tough guy act his true nature tends to constantly shine through in various ways regardless. If your muse happens to be in trouble or danger, you may just be able to count on Shinjiro to save the day - or at least take care of the aftermath, as his concern and selfless willingness to help often reaches out to anyone in need (and deserving) of help, not limited to his friends and loved ones.

2) In canon timeline Shinjiro is plagued with feelings of burdening guilt and self-loathing at almost all times due to an accident he cannot stop blaming himself for. This results in distant, standoffish and defensive behavior, pushing or attempting to push others (especially those worried for him) away. Keep this in mind in regards to interacting with my muse in this timeline especially; he won’t share - and if he shares it is hugely dependent on the person and he still won’t share a whole lot. In addition to this, Shinjiro is an introvertby nature and will rarely approach another person unless they are a close friend or in need of help, or otherwise forced to co-operate and interact. He also generally doesn’t talk much.

3) Shinjiro loves two things above others: animals and cooking. Especially dogs will cause the boy to smile and act a lot less on guard than usual (as long as no other people are around to witness it), revealing once again his true, gentle nature. Cooking on the other hand is more than just a hobby for the young man, but instead a passion. Leave it to Shinjiro to cook a meal resembling in its quality something taken straight out of a cookbook, to teach others about the secrets of the craft or to shame you for your eating or cooking habits. Getting him to cook you something may still be somewhat of a difficult task, extremely dependent on the situation as well as the inquirer.

What they’ve been up to recently:

Dependent on the timeline and/or the verse.

In a canon (or P3P’s FeMc route) verse before Shinjiro rejoins the ranks of SEES, Shinjiro will be living most of his days and nights on the streets, wandering around and helping those in trouble or alternatively, taking part in shady deals with a group of criminals by the name of Strega. Shinjiro’s health is in a constantly deteriorating state due to the use of Persona-suppressants (a drug used to seal away or control one’s Persona) that he gets from the group in exchange of these deals, resulting in more or less noticeable symptoms in addition to the strained state of his mental health. In the same verse a little later on Shinjiro will be part of his old team once more, fighting alongside his friends and eradicating Shadows for one full month before his eventual departure - making his time limited and scarce and thus affecting the threads based on this verse in many ways.

This blog will also include verses of anything before the game’s main plot’s timeline, including timelines such as: childhood, pre-SEES (2007), SEES’ first fighting days before Shinjiro’s accident (2007) – as well as anything after the fact before April 2009.

In a post-Nyx verse Shinjiro is a coma survivor, resurfacing from his coma after the events of October 4th sometime in early February, though he is dispatched from the hospital later in April. Shinjiro will no longer be depending on the use of suppressants, his health slowly but surely returning and improving. A chain of events also leads to the boy’s closure regarding his trauma and reconciliation with Ken, resulting in Shinjiro’s resolution, evolved Persona and a gradually improving state of mental health as well - able to finally stop obsessing over his past trauma. He is a returning student of Gekkoukan High, now one grade behind his own age group, working diligently in order to finally graduate high school and through that get his life back in order. This verse is my blog’s MAIN AU, and a lot of interactions deemed impossible or unlikely in the canon verse may or may not be set to happen in this verse. It is also the only verse in which romantic shipping occurs (not counting crushes or something lowkey that isn’t dating, etc). The default version of this verse is somewhat of a “everyone survives” type of an ideal, alternate world in which Nyx is sealed with some additional help, though depending on some details I am willing to RP a version including the protagonist’s death as well. This AU welcomes the male MC as the protagonist as well despite coma route originally being FeMc exclusive, though some details will obviously change.

Current plans:

1) Redemption. To pay for causing the death of Ken Amada’s mother - in any way the boy in question sees fitting, going as far as to be willing to forfeit his life for the cause.

2) Protect and look after loved ones. Shinjiro keeps a close eye on his friends, worrying and looking after their health, safety and needs to the best of his ability.

3) Getting his “shit together”. AU verse. Finally (even if a year late) graduating high school. Finding a job (preferably cooking related) and a place to stay in. Settling down.Maintaining his health - both mental and physical. Maintaining and improving his relationships. Fulfilling his new resolution by living looking after and watching over the boy whose life he’d once ruined. Honoring his new, second chance at a better life.

4) To fight alongside his friends once more. AU verse. In order to redeem himself for the loss of progress and the trouble he once caused SEES (Akihiko and Mitsuru) with his departure, Shinjiro decides to participate in the activities of the Shadow Operatives later on and for some time. This is also to take full advantage of his new, stronger and now stable Persona, as well as to ensure Amada’s chance at a normal childhood as much as possible by filling in for him whenever needed.

5) To lead a normal life. AU verse. Sometime after his mid twenties, Shinjiro will forfeit all Persona-related fighting once more in order to lead a life free of all things related to Shadows and Persona, to live life as a normal citizen. He may never be able to fully leave Shadow-related things out of his life due to his close ties with other Persona-users, but it is no longer what his life revolves around.

Desired interactions:

1) DEVELOPING ALREADY ESTABLISHED BONDS. Exploring and developing the familial bond between Shinjiro and Akihiko - all timelines included. Exploring and developing the boy’s friendship with Mitsuru, an old friend and teammate. Exploring and developing (and fixing) Shinjiro’s bond with Minako, including a possible romantic relationship first unsuccessfully established in the Portable-timeline prior to October 4 and finally given a second chance in the main AU verse. Developing Shinjiro’s extremely complex relationship with Ken, especially after Ken’s change of heart toward the older male. I also need a Koromaru to RP with, seriously.

2) GETTING TO KNOW THE REST OF SEES. I want more interactions with the rest of SEES too. All of them. From Shinjiro being a “super senpai” (direct quote) to Junpei to the Hierophant being a cooking instructor to Fuuka. I also need to establish relationships with characters like Minato, Yukari and Aigis as the games particularly lack interactions between Shinjiro and these three. At least that’s how I feel like.

3) STREGA. Shinjiro shares a rather interesting, complex and conflicting relationship between Strega. They aren’t friends, but they aren’t necessarily enemies either (that is until Shinjiro decides to rejoin SEES). A lot goes on between them, Shinjiro somewhat trapped in this troubling situation. Where did it all begin, how did they find out about each other? How do they interact outside of their shady business deals and blackmail? How does each Strega member feel about Shinjiro? These are all things I need to know.

4) Interactions with characters from other Persona games can always turn out to be rather interesting, Persona-users or not (and “normal people” in P3′s universe too!). I am also very open to crossovers of any kind. Don’t be afraid to approach me even if our characters have never canonically met each other. OCs are welcome too, as long as I am able to learn enough about them from you to know how to interact at all.

5) Childhood threads, adulthood threads etc. Anything outside of the canon timeline deeply intrigues me and is something I desire to develop and explore.

Offered interactions:

1) FRIENDSHIP, COMPANIONSHIP AND SUPPORT. As is mentioned in my rules, I am not someone very open to romantic shipping as a personal preference of mine: my muse for it is extremely picky. Friendships of any kind are hugely encouraged, however! Even if my muse may not be the easiest to get to know up, close and personal, deep down he is quite kind, friendly and caring and it may not take a whole lot for him to care enough to worry about your muse as well, even if they don’t yet know each other super well. Perhaps our characters could be fighting alongside each other toward a mutual goal? Characters that are already friends or acquaintances with Shinjiro may also be able to explore various types of interactions and situations and further development. Whichever the case, I will rarely (possibly never) turn down a friendship of some sort with my muse. Shinjiro needs friends. He is also the ideal character for a big brother -type of a relationship, which is why I’ll be super hyped to RP friendships with child muses as well.

2) COMPLEX, UNPLEASANT INTERACTIONS. As much as I love tender feelings and friendship and as easy as it is to make Shinjiro care for your muse, it isn’t hard to make him dislike someone either if they end up crossing the Hierophant’s strong, personal values deeply enough. Or perhaps your muse has something against Shinjiro for whatever reason? I want complex and unpleasant situations and relationships that cause deep and conflicting feelings and opinions. Good example of this is Strega, which I mentioned previously, though other characters may be able to develop similar (mutual or not) distaste with Shinjiro as well. Misunderstandings, blackmail or other threats, fighting, enemies, grudges, danger and more - all are situations I’m interested to explore.

3) ANGST. Let’s be real, Shinjiro may just be your go-to muse for some angsty interactions, angsty as is his whole backstory as well as his whole character during the canon timeline. Due to this fact angst from my muse may or may not be guaranteed to happen at least to some degree at some point in time, but it may be easy to explore your own character’s angsty feelings or situation with the help of my muse as well.

4) Any type of plotting and just casual interactions too are extremely welcome! I am super open for pre-established relationships, new verses and AUs. If you have an idea or wish to interact with me, don’t be afraid to send me stuff, to contact me or like my starter calls etc. I am here to write and explore both different kinds of relationships as well as my own muse; his feelings, thoughts, motives and development and I tend to think all interactions contribute to it at least to some degree.

Generally a bit slow due to my poor concentration at times, fatigue and awful sleep schedule. Super eager to interact with all kinds of muses though! Still getting into P5 and mapping out my verse for it; I do want to RP with your P5 muse but please be patient - coming up with good ideas is harder and slower when you don’t 100% yet know what you want. Will get done though. Same applies for muses of any other series I may not be familiar with or don’t yet have a verse for and OCs, possibly.  I am not chronological with my replies either, but simply answer according to what I have the most muse for at that moment. How I think P3D should go down pt 4.

(previous/part 3) Ok so this opening paragraph was going to be in the other part but I’m going to try to get the dungeons done in like one or two parts (with the final being its own part). So I should end with 6 parts in all

Anyways so where we left off, Ni has disappeared to someplace unknown (last chapter is also the last POV of Ni we’ll get for a long while, or just at all, the rest will be from either Mitsuru or Aigis’ perspective).

The whole situation of Ni freaking out and disappearing has everyone in a tizzy. People are now trying to find her (a lot of coworkers or nervous cause they pushed a lot of work onto her and there’s a deadline and are now trying to find at least her work so they themselves don’t get into trouble). The SOs and Rise, Yu, and Naoto (the latter two had arrived a few minutes prior to the SOs) discuss on what they need to do. Mitsuru tells them they are in charge of discovering more about Ni in the real world while the SOs go in and try to retrieve her themselves. The P4 trio will first investigate around the studio first, once they find enough info on Ni that they can attempt to investigate her personal life Yu and Naoto will leave from there (with Rise staying behind). They will have Rise use her Persona as a means to communicate with them in the real world (similar to Fuuka in Arena, its explained that after the events of P4D she can now do that….if that bothers anyone) and Fuuka will use hers to communicate from wherever they’re going. (I should also not that it’s totally possible for Mitsuru to have others helping the investigation in the real world, like her maid from Ultimax, it doesn’t matter as all that will happen off screen).

After a while the SOs figure out how to access the other world through the mirror and jump in. They then appear in the Desert of Doors (or someplace new, DoD has a connection to P3 and I doubt Midnight Stage 2 would be a good idea). But there’s a slight problem, instead of normal Doors, there are towers (the world also appears colored differently from before). There are 4 towers, one on the left and one on the right, one right behind the two adjacent ones, and then a familiar green one behind the 3rd tower (yes, Tartarus). Much to everyone’s chagrin, Junpei complains about not wanting to climb it’s stairs again. They attempt to approach the Tartarus tower but are met with resistance from the two adjacent towers. Fuuka mentions that there is a barrier, and it seems like they need to clear the two adjacent towers to get to the 3rd tower, and then clear the 3rd tower to get to the Tartarus tower.

They decide they should split up for the two adjacent towers, as it’ll help clear it faster. Fuuka will stay behind at the entrance for now as to get the best reading on everyone. They decide to split the teams up into Team 1: Aigis (leader), Yukari, Junpei, and Koromaru; and Team 2: Mitsuru (leader), Akihiko, Labrys, Ken.

Team 1 goes for the tower on the right (a giant black/blue spike), while Team 2 goes for the pyramid looking tower on the left (wink wink does this remind you of anything? No? oh ok well moving on). Anyways, this is where the dance battles will take place, about 2-4 will happen in each dungeon/tower. But for time purposes I will skip to the end of each dungeon. Also, either during all these dungeons (or just one specific one that happens much later) Aigis and Mitsuru are given dialogue options (with about two options to choose from), these dialogue options will effect the ending later on.

 So throughout the dungeon Aigis’ is going through they hear different conversations of Ni’s work life. Ranging from when she first started as a high school part timer to now. They hear the conversation from an earlier chapter about why Ni wants to be a lawyer. A lot of the dialogue hints that Ni enjoys working there, but when they get to the end….. They are met with a…vision (remember how in The Answer they’d see other people’s pasts? This is what happens). It’s her confronted by some of her Coworkers. They tell her how she needs to do their work, when she tries to reject the idea they tell her “Oh it’s not like you’re going to be here in the long run anyways, I mean you plan on leaving right?” and “Oh c’mon your like a genius with this stuff, it comes easier to you than to me.” And “you need a recommendation right? You do our work, we’ll make sure we tell whatever school or work place that you are an amazing little worker. Of course if you refuse, we’ll just have to go to the higher ups and have you fired. We’ve been working here longer than you have honey, we have senority. One word from us and you won’t be able to get any job in this industry ever again.” And so they find out she’s been bribed and blackmailed into being overworked by her lazy coworkers. They then contact Fuuka to connect with Mitsuru’s team and Rise (at this time Yu and Naoto and maybe others have found enough info to look other places, Rise mentions that they found out where she goes to school and decide to investigate there) to tell them about what they’ve found. Rise states from her own investigation that it’s true, and she seems really stressed on getting that lawyer job. She was told by coach that since forever she’d been nervous about her own future. So it isn’t a surprised she would go to lengths just to make sure she secured the future she wanted.

 Meanwhile on Mitsuru’s side, wouldn’t you know it….it revolves around Ni’s school life. Ranging from elementary school to high school. Throughout the dungeons the voices get more and more disturbing as hints of bullying continue to grow. One voice over has Ni stating “I think I used to have friends, it must have been a long time ago because now….when I try to think back….I can’t come up with anyone….no one… I’m just…alone.” When they get to the end of the dungeon they are treated with a Vision:

Ni is thrown against the side of the school building, she’s surrounded by a group of girls and a guy, her school uniform (black sailor suit with a green ribbon) drenched in water. One of the girls (the leader) grabs her by the hair and pulls her head back. Ni: *slumping against the building, looks at the guy* I….I thought we were friends…. Guy: *smirks* Leader girl: Haha, wow you really convinced her eh Ta-kun? Guy: Well when I’m assigned a task I don’t half ass it. Leader: See, I told him to be your friend. You were never real friends to begin with. Ni: *trying not to cry* I…I don’t understand…why? Guy: I was bored! But, to be honest, your job involves working around celebs so I kind of wanted to get close to them. So when I was asked to befriend you I thought it was an all-around win for me. I got to string you along like a little puppy and I got some digits from some idols. Ni: *sobbing* Leader: Awwww you made her cry, bad boy Ta-kun. Ni: *looking at the Leader* Why….why are you doing this? Leader: Simple. *kicks Ni in the stomach* You piss me off. *starts getting angry* You come in here with your perfect scores, take the number one spot, you’re class rep and teachers just think you’re an angel…. And you work with idols and actors! You’re just little miss perfect aren’t you? Ni: No I- Leader: *slams foot near Ni’s head* SHUT UP! I’M THE ONE WHO’S TALKING! Leader: So yeah, you piss me off. And I thought “maybe me and everyone else should knock you down a peg or two” you know, bring us back down to the normal folk. But it looks like you’re a hard one to break, looks like we’re going to have to pay extra close attention to you. I wonder if you’ll make it to graduation.

The scene ends, horrified they hastily call Fuuka in attempt to get a hold of Aigis and Rise. Rise (either relays what Naoto found or is able to somehow connect her cellphone so that they can hear Naoto on the phone). Naoto states that she found the high school she went to, apparently she always go top marks and was a model student. She was class rep for her first two years and nominated Student Council president for her Senior year. But it looks like she wasn’t really liked in the school. She talked to a teacher whom told her there was intense bullying going on. The teacher tried to help Ni, like getting the police involved, but Ni wouldn’t tell her anything herself nor would she press charges. The other teachers were no help as they chose to ignore it. With that the teacher was helpless and could only watch.

With this they state that the next/3rd tower is open (btw it’s shaped like clock tower). Naoto states that she and Yu are now going to attempt to track down any relatives in the city.

(I know what you’re thinking “this ____ kind of reminds me of P5” welp…… I had this idea before P5 so…yeah…. There’s some similarities, and I’m kinda trying to own it with some shout-outs/call forewards. Next part will cover the 3rd dungeon and Tartarus, and part 6 will cover the ending portion of the game)

Sora as Minako: And I mean Minako not Minato. Sora in KH3 is the epitome of “I hide my depression behind smiles and laughs” which is Minako’s personality to a tee vs Minato’s emo attitude. Similarly both Minako and Sora die in the game labeled three.

Riku as Junpei: Junpei is Minako’s best friend, he would do anything for her and by the end of the story would put his life before hers. Likewise, at the start of his arc, Junpei is insanely jealous of Minako for getting the leadership role, but it’s something he grows out of. Riku sees a similar arc in KH1 (envy of Sora causing him to be a dick) and similarly would die for Sora.

Kairi as Yukari: First they both round out the respective trios (Yukari/Minako/Junpei and Sora/Riku/Kairi) and both are the girls who absolutely try their best to be supportive to their protagonist’s roles.

Aqua as Mitsuru: Both are absolute queens. Also Aqua desperately would’ve worked her ass off to make up for the mistakes that were caused by people she cared about, and both could function as a team mom.

Lea as Akihiko: Honestly nobody is good enough to be Akihiko of the boys, but Lea has an easy backstory target in that he cares about several characters he might lose, and we all saw how reckless he gets when he loses the people he cares about.

Isa as Shinji: Moon boys. Also Shinji and Isa both seek retribution for the actions they caused, and both find said retribution in death. Also Isa is Lea’s childhood best friend.

Subject X as Miki: We don’t have a lot to go in for either, but both serve as backstory props atm for the actions of their boys.

Xion as Aigis: Both are artificial humans with a strong connection to Sora/Minako. They also both spend much of their time alive learning just what it means to be human as they come to terms with their emotions.

Roxas as Ken: This actually hurts me to cast on so many levels but uh...Ken actually becomes a younger brother figure to Akihiko, and Aki in turn looks out for him, which in terms of dynamic is similar to Lea’s and Roxas’s friendship. Also Roxas and Isa have issues, to put it lightly.

Olette as Fuuka: Olette is the only character (besides Minako) to have connections and friendships that we see outside of the main playable cast, likewise Olette would have connections with Hayner and Pence. On top of that, Olette is a noncombat character in KH, as Fuuka plays the role of navigator. Finally Olette would be a stranger who could activate Lea’s guilt, similar to how Fuuka activates Akihiko.

Chirithy as Koromaru: ...woof

Eraqus as Mitsuru’s dad: Eraqus is the father figure of Aqua, and likewise could very easily be attoning for letting oldnort perform the research that would bring about the fall, while wanting to avoid that responsibility being thrust on Aqua.

Ansem the Wise as Ikutsuki: Ansem is for all intents and purposes, the main researcher for the fall. I thought about making him Yukari’s dad but eh, the idea of him being dragged into Xehanort’s research and not putting a stop to his experiments on Shadows is a lot more interesting to me, a lot. Plus it does make sense with how he acted as DiZ given as DiZ, Ansem the Wise is a researcher who basically lost his mind which uh... *cough*

MoM as Takaya: Whether that’s Demyx, Luxord, Blaine, or somebody else we’ll see in Re:Mind, but the point is. MoM wanted the world to fall to darkness and be destroyed despite not being the one actively causing The Fall. Also MoM could probably become a fanatical cult leader with very little effort.

Luxu as Jin: You mean Takaya’s second in command wouldn’t be MoM’s?

Namine as Chidori: Well first of all Namiku is a standard Riku pairing and given Junpei/Chidori is the only canon confirmed pairing that needs to be something looked at. Like I can’t throw somebody who doesn’t have an existing ship at Junpei. Second, they’re both very lonely artists who would champion what they believe is right above all else, including their life. Finally, Namine is believed to have ties to Chi by several people, which would tie her to Luxu and MoM similar to Takaya and Jin.

Ven as Pharos: Smol boy living in Sora’s heart with no memories, smol boy living in Minako’s heart without memories.

Terra as Ryoji: Hey I shouldn’t need to explain anything more if you played P3 but both suffered. Both would also become the incarnation of the badguy.

Xehanort is just the form Nyx takes.

Marianne handed Sitri a paper with all the findings her scouts have reported.

(Marianne) "I hope this will be of use to you all."

(Sitri) "It will, thank you, Marianne."

Marianne nodded and smiled.

(Marianne) "Please be careful, I would not like to see any of you come to harm."

(Kazuma) "Eh, don't worry, the kids'll be fine with us!"

Marianne raised an eyebrow, although her smile was still kept.

(Marianne) "With Rean and the others, I can believe that."

(Kazuma) "Hey, who was the group that saved your guys asses plenty of times back then? Mine, that's who!"

(Rean) "Aaaand, don't forget who bailed you out for a lot of those situations."

(Aigis) "It was us."

Kazuma continued to cause a commotion, letting the other groups spectate.

(Jean) "They all seem rather close."

(Lisa) "Reminds you a bit of home, doesn't it?"

Lisa smirked as she turned to Kaeya and Diluc.

Diluc rolled his eyes while Kaeya shrugged.

(Kurt) "I trust Instructor Rean and Towa's guidance, but I am unsure about the other two."

(Juna) "Well, that Aigis lady seems nice enough though, now that I think on it, what CAN those two do?"

(Ash) "Noticed Kazuma has a dagger and a short sword on his belt, but for Aigis...can't tell."

(Altina) "It appears she is like me."

(Juna) "Wait, as in not human?"

Musse turned to the Garreg Mach students.

(Musse) "What do you guys think?"

(Astrid) "Eh? Well, I dunno. I've only heard stories, never seen them in action."

(Helena) "Gets kinda hard to tell what's true."

(Stefan) "I guess today's our lucky day!"

(Elizabeth) "Hmph, if you call having to deal with otherworldy monstrosities lucky!"

(Helena) "Harsh. These people aren't that ugly."

(Elizabeth) "What in the-That is not what I meant and you know it!"

(Kairos) "..."

(Astrid) ? "Kairos? Somethin' up?"

(Kairos) "Huh? Oh, I am fine. It's nothing."

Kairos looked back down, a bit dejected.

(Stefan) "The things Lady Marianne and Sitri say getting you down?"

Kairos raised his voice to object but sighed instead.

(Kairos) "I just cannot believe I let my immaturity get the best of me there. These people are the reason we're here right now, but I cannot shake off how I feel that easily."

(Elizabeth) "I...would be lying if I said I did not feel the same."

Venti and Amber didn't mean to eavesdrop, but it was hard not to considering how loudly they were announcing their feelings to the entire group.

(Venti) "If that's the case, why not get to know us then?"

(Elizabeth and Kairos) "Huh?"

(Amber) "Yeah, this mission looks to be tough, so if we all work together, I'm sure we'll be friends in no time!"

(Kurt) "I would not be opposed to it. Well, considering that we also have no alternatives present as well.'

Meanwhile, the Instructors finally finished their conversation.

(Marianne) "I wish you luck, House Isekai."

(Rean) "Thanks, Marianne. We'll be back as soon as we can."

Marianne bowed and went inside back to her estate, leaving the Instructors to walk back to their groups.

(Towa) "So, what's the plan?"

(Sitri) "I...Hm."

She stopped walking to take a moment to think.

(Sitri) "I think it'd be best if we were to all search together. We have no idea what we'd be up against."

The tone of her voice made it sound like it was more of a suggestion than a command.

(Sothis) "Looks like the group has another one."

(Diluc) "Miss Sitri, was it? If we could speak our mind."

(Sitri) "Huh? O-Oh, Go ahead."

Kazuma leaned over to Rean.

(Kazuma) "She doesn't exactly sound confident for a headmaster."

(Rean) "Being fair, she was just a nun from what we were told by Jeralt."

(Aigis) "Affirmative, she also was very weak and could not leave Garreg Mach often."

(Towa) "...S-So, if that's the case, how is she walking around out here carrying her sword no problem?"

The four stared at her while Diluc was explaining the group's plan.

(Rean) "Lahabrea did mention she was chosen to be resurrected for a reason...Did we ever find out why?"

They were silent.

(Kazuma) "Tch, even dead Those Who Slither are a pain in our ass. We never get straight answers from them"

(Aigis) "Well, that wasn't Those Who Slither, that was Byle-...Er, Lahabrea who did the resurrection himself."

(Towa) "Regardless, I think we should ask this ourselves another time."

(Diluc) "...And so, we think splitting up is the best way to approach this threat."

(Sitri) "Well..."

(Jean) "You have our word that nothing will befall any of your students."

(Kurt) "And mine as well."

(Helena) "To be fair, this would be a good way to know how we all fight considering this is our first assignment together."

(Sitri) "Fair enough...Very well, we shall split into teams.

(Rean) "I think it'd be best to mix and match teams."

(Aigis) "Agreed. Based off initial data, I will configure the teams as follows:

First Team will consist of: Rean, Sitri, Helena, Stefan, Kaeya, Amber, Altina, and Ash.

Second team will consist of: Myself, Kazuma, Astrid, Diluc, Jean, Venti, Kurt, and Juna.

Third team will consist of: Towa, Kairos, Elizabeth, Lisa, and Musse."

(Jean) "No objections from me."

(Ash) "Sounds fine."

(Musse) "Aww, I wanted one with Rean-"

(Rean) "You'll be fine under Towa's command. Besides, she was your homeroom teacher anyway."

(Lisa) "Ouch, shot down."

(Musse) "Doesn't mean I'm giving up!~"

(Lisa) "Oh, I like your attitude, love is such a powerful thing..."

(Towa) "Uh...."

(Elizabeth) "I had some slight objections being put in a group with you, Kairos, but now? I think I am glad to have at least someone familiar..."

(Kairos) "Ugh, the feeling's mutual."

(Rean) "Right then. We'll split up and meet at this point in the map if we don't find anything."

(Kazuma) "How are we gonna keep in contact if shit goes down?"

(Aigis) "Rean and Towa have their Arcus Units, and I believe the students of Garreg Mach have something similar."

(Stefan) "Yes, we were all given a communication crystal upon our entry for Sitri's group."

All the students of Garreg Mach pulled out a small flat crystal that faintly glowed blue.

(Kaeya) "We have our methods then. It's probably best we stop wasting time and get moving."

(Sitri) "Agreed. Everyone, remember to be safe. This may be only our first assignment, but do not underestimate the danger. Your lives could be thrown away if you're careless enough."

Everyone nodded and split up.

(Towa) "Alright, looks like we'll head to the site where it was first spotted. This way everyone."

Towa's group walked down a path deeper into the forest and slowly disappeared from sight of everyone else...

Doomguy's Base, Present...

Doomguy tapped his foot while listening to the Persona Users give their explanation of what was happening.

Apparently, Ryuji, Ann, Mitsuru, and Naoto fought off a group of hulking green creatures calling themselves "Orks" who came from Fodlan's Crystal Tower.

(Yu) "And that's about the gist of it."

(Yosuke) "Yeah, we weren't close enough to the scene and the news gets everything wrong anyway.."

(Futaba) "Even with my hacking I can't get a full picture, it happened so fast."

(Akihiko) "You still got any idea what's going on in Fodlan right now?"

Doomguy shook his head, and shrugged to the air, indicating for VEGA to speak for him.

(VEGA) "Unfortunately, no. There is too much interference for us to make contact with those currently in. That being the case, they are working to rectify this communication block, hopefully soon."

(Junpei) "So what, we're supposed to twiddle our thumbs and just wait?"

(Yukari) "And what exactly can we do, Stupei? If all of us just jump in guns blazing, who knows how long we'd be trapped, and how Fodlan would react!"

(Makoto) "Our entry and exit wasn't the most graceful after all..."

(Akira) "I have faith in everyone over there. It'll be up to us to keep our home safe."

(Chie) "Hey, who else has responded anyway? Seems not too many of us were able to make it in there."

(VEGA) "You are correct. The only ones to answer the call are yourselves, Rean, Elliot, Laura, Fie, Towa, and Kazuma."

(Morgana) "Anyone else?"

(VEGA) "The Denizens of Nazarick appear to be busy handling their world's politics, but they have acknowledged our call and plan to send whoever is available. The same goes for the remaining members of Class VII."

(Teddie) "Oh, how about Yuki-chan and the others?"

(Fuuka) "The School-Living Club?"

(VEGA) "I'm afraid nothing has been sent our way. Not even an acknowledgement."

(Rise) "I hope they're alright. Their world didn't exactly sound forgiving..."

(Kanji) "It's prolly' best they weren't here anyway. Not sure they'd be much help...Er, wait that sounds bad!"

(VEGA) "Negative. You are objectively correct, in terms of combat at least. Megumi and the School-Living Club were the least active members when it came to fights. Their efforts were focused on helping fleeing civilians and moral support. Neither of which we are sure is needed for Fodlan's current circumstances."

(Ken) "I'm sure everyone's fine. We should be worried less about how they are and more on how the Crystal Tower came to our world to begin with."

(VEGA) "We are currently looking into that as we speak. Please feel free to rest here until then."

The Persona users nodded and tried their best to relax, not knowing what the future would bring...

A few hours later...

Towa's group kept investigating the points of which the scouts had written on the reports, but they had found nothing.

No trace of any warning shots Marianne mentioned, its like they had completely erased the evidence.

The sun was starting to set, but thankfully it was still bright enough for them to keep looking untroubled.

Lisa was close by with Towa, looking with her and Musse while Kairos and Elizabeth investigated somewhere close by.

(Towa) "Hm...still nothing."

(Musse) "Instructor Towa?"

(Towa) "What is it, Musse?"

(Musse) "If I can ask, why is it that the people of this world hold such hostility against you?"

(Lisa) "I have been rather curious myself. It seems every opportunity those two in particular talk bad about your old group."

Towa looked up and made sure Kairos and Elizabeth was far away enough for her to continue.

(Towa) "Truth be told, our group was a mess. We kept coming in out of nowhere, and forming this massive superpower that threw a wrench into all the world leader's plans for...whatever they were going to do. World Domination? Separation? I have no idea."

Towa's eyes looked down as her expression darkened.

(Towa) "We lost a lot of friends during that war too, they gave their lives for a world they didn't know. But this place is home to us, just as much as it is to them..."

Musse and Lisa looked at each other but didn't say anything else.

Towa was doing her best to keep those memories out of her head. She had to keep a clear mind for this assignment.

Though, being told that their group was the reason a civil war was on the brink again, it didn't sit well in her stomach.

Towa's mind ached, thinking the possibility of losing even more friends to this world, which she was struggling to keep out.

Lisa walked towards Towa, kneeling down and rubbing her head.

(Lisa) "There there...I'm sure they'd understand if you told them. No need to fret."

Towa shot back up, a slight tinge of red as she put her hands on her hat.

(Towa) "ACK!"

(Lisa) "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to startle."

(Towa) "N-No you're fine, Miss Lisa! I'm just usually used to Rean doing that...Which, now that I say out loud, is kinda weird..."

(Musse) "Hmph, lucky."

(Lisa) "Is it weird? I was under the impression you were a couple with the way you acted."

(Musse) "I'm sure she'd like that!"

Lisa and Musse's smirks were flustering Towa.

(Towa) "T-That's not relevant, Musse! And Miss Lisa, we are NOT a couple!"

(Lisa) "So, you're available then?"

(Towa) "BWUH-WHAT?!"

Lisa failed to hold back a chuckle.

(Lisa) "Relax cutie, I'm just joking...Mostly."

(Towa) "Ugh, please just focus back on the task at hand!"

She began mumbling to herself.

(Towa) "You think I'd be used to this considering how much time I've spent with Angie and Crow..."

Lisa crossed her arms as she turned back to finding any signs of a fight.

(Musse) "...Thanks for doing that, Miss Lisa. I never liked seeing Instructor Towa get that down on herself."

(Lisa) "Figured no one does, from what I've gathered. By the way, have you found anything?"

(Musse) "Not particularly. Though that being said-"

Musse began speaking with Lisa who crouched down next to her, pointing at the trees in front of them.

(Kairos) "This question is only now appearing in my head, how exactly do they fight?"

(Elizabeth) "Now that you point it out, the only real weapon I see is on Musse's back. It appears to be some sort of...staff?"

They stared at the rifle that was strapped onto her, not sure what its function was.

(Kairos) "That makes sense, though it's shaped quite oddly. What's the point of that...lever, I think?"

Squinting at the triggerhair on Musse's rifle, he shook his head and turned to Lisa.

(Kairos) "And her. Everyone else from her group has a visible weapon, but she doesn't. All I see is a book."

(Elizabeth) "She could be a spellcaster, though what kind of magic user dresses like that?"

(Kairos) "Of course you judge them based on clothes."

(Elizabeth) "Oh stuff it! As if you're one to talk to ME about biases!"

Kairos and Elizabeth stood up, glaring daggers at each other.

(Kairos) "Hey, I was talking about their weapons!"

(Elizabeth) "And I'm talking about your little outburst earlier! Do you know how much you embarrassed all of us by-"

The went back and forth a little bit, Musse and Lisa pausing their conversation to listen.

(Musse) "How noisy."

(Lisa) "Well, we didn't find anything over here anyway, we might as well put a pause to it."

Towa watched them head towards Elizabeth and Kairos, and decided to watch what would happen instead of interfering. She knew Musse was a lot smarter than she looked, and Lisa seemed to be the same way.

(Towa) "So this is how Instructor Sara felt."

(Musse) "Is there a problem?"

(Elizabeth) "O-Oh, my apologies! No there isn't any problem."

(Kairos) "If you don't count her mouth as one."

(Elizabeth) "Silence yourself, or so goddess help me, I will silence yours!"

(Lisa) "My my, so feisty! You'll ruin those cute faces if you keep frowning so much."

That snapped Elizabeth and Kairos out of their spat and took them aback.

(Kairos) "C-Cute?"

(Elizabeth) "Feisty?!"

(Musse) "It seems no matter the world, people have the same reactions to these things..."

(Lisa) "It would appear so. It's nice having someone who understands, though."

Lisa and Musse smiled, making Kairos and Elizabeth feel slightly uncomfortable.

(Musse) "But back on topic, did you happen to find anything?"

(Kairos) "No, not really."

The two looked back down to the ground they were examining prior.

It was two trees that had snapped and fell to the ground, but there was no magical energy or weapon marks to indicate it had fell down by unnatural causes.

They were looking at the point where the tree snapped and fell over, hoping to find anything but-

(Elizabeth) "Kairos and I are well versed in magic, but we were unable to find anything that we could detect."

(Musse) "Hm...from what I see, there's nothing there either."

Lisa furrowed her brows as she gently pushed everyone to the side, taking a look herself.

(Kairos) "Miss Lisa?"

(Lisa) "...Instructor."

(Towa) "Huh? What is it?"

(Lisa) "I believe I found something."

(Elizabeth) "Truly?"

Towa walked over to the group and looked at the trees as well.

(Lisa) "I understand why no one has reported anything. This was caused by something from our group's world."

Everyone stood on edge.

(Lisa) "Our world has something we call 'Visions', powers granted to us by the Archons and allows us to attune ourselves to the elements and channel them into our will. Diluc and Amber have Pyro visions, letting them control fire. Kaeya has Cryo, Ice, Venti and Jean have Anemo, Wind. I, have Electro. Electricity."

Lisa rubbed her finger against the tree and looked at her finger.

(Lisa) "And on my hands is a very faint remnants of an Electro attack."

She stood up, grabbing her book.

(Lisa) "A very recent one."

Musse and Towa unsheathed their guns while Kairos and Elizabeth quickly looked around.

(Lisa) "I'm presuming you two cuties also wield magic?"

(Kairos) "Y-Yes. I'm proficient in dark magic skills."

(Elizabeth) "I am most skilled with white magic, but I am able to channel dark as well."

(Lisa) "Good. Because I think I know where our target is at."

Kairos and Elizabeth felt the hairs on their arms raise. The darkness of the forest started to glow with an eerie purple in the distance.

Towa got behind them and pulled out an ARCUS unit, calling Rean.

(Towa) "Rean, I think we found it! I'm sending our coordinates-"

A bolt of lightning shot down and almost hit her, making her scream and almost drop her unit.

(Towa) "AAH!"

(Rean's voice) "Towa?! Towa are you-"

BZZZZZRRRRT!

(Musse) "Target straight ahead!"

The cube slowly floated over to them, shooting out bolts of electricity in random directions.

(Musse) "I believe that first one was the warning shot the scouts were talking about."

(Kairos) "What the hell is that thing?!"

(Lisa) "Hmph. Nothing too dangerous, but still, don't let your guards down. We call it an Electro Hypostasis."

The shapes of the cubes floating around the core slowly shifted around, seemingly ready to change shapes at any time.

(Lisa) "It shapes itself into whatever it wants to attack, so be prepared for anything."

(Elizabeth) "You've fought these abominations before?!"

From Elizabeth's view, Lisa looked more annoyed than anything facing this...thing.

(Lisa) "A few times. They're normally docile until you approach, which makes Marianne's reports a lot more sense considering what's been harassing them."

The Cube seemingly stared at all of them, waiting to see if they would back off.

(Lisa) "I'm afraid my Electro vision isn't going to be as helpful as I'd like, but I won't let that stop me."

She flipped open her book, which began levitating in front of her.

The text in the book began to glow a dark purple as she turned to the group.

(Lisa) "But, I digress. The command is up to you, Instructor Towa."

(Towa) "If we let it go, it could be days before we can find it again, we don't let it slip away!"

Towa loaded her pistol and pointed at the Electro Hypostasis.

(Towa) "Engage the enemy!"

(Musse) "Understood, Instructor!"

(Elizabeth & Kairos) "Yes Ma'am!"

(Lisa) "Got it."

[Twice Stricken - Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers OST]

Musse backed up and pointed her rifle at the Hypostasis, taking the first shot.

The bullet predictably reflected off, and the four cubes flew into the air and into a rhombus shape, all aiming at the team.

Electric missiles shot out of the Hypostasis at speeds equivalent to Musse's and Towa's gun.

Lisa snapped her fingers and a electricity field formed around them, misdirecting the attacks and hitting in random directions.

Kairos and Elizabeth ran to the front, Kairos casting a fireball while Elizabeth had ice spikes form underneath it.

The first fireball caused a small explosion, blowing back some of the trees and scorching the grass while the ice spikes shot into the air and at the core of the Hypostasis, stopping the fire before it spread and piercing the core.

It made no noise of pain, though they could tell they were doing some damage to it.

The cubes quickly flew away from the spikes and towards them.

Towa fired her pistol, all aiming at a singular point the spike had pierced into.

Small bits of electricity chipped off, tho it began flying faster and dodged whatever was shot at it.

Lisa's spells were having no effect on the Hypostasis as it landed behind them.

(Lisa) "Get behind something!"

Musse and Towa dove for cover as more missiles shot out of it, Lisa standing behind a tree to hide from it.

Elizabeth did the same as well, but noticed Kairos wasn't moving.

Kairos stood out in the open still and tried to fire another fireball, but it quickly moved to the side, dodging the fireball as it hit the tree behind the Hypostasis instead.

The Hypostasis aimed at Kairos and shot a singular missile, too fast for him to dodge in time and hit him in the chest and sending him flying back into the tree.

He clenched his teeth in pain as the electricity rattled and sent a painful shock throughout his entire body.

(Elizabeth) "Kairos, you bloody idiot!"

She quickly grabbed his arm and dragged him behind cover before another barrage of missiles hit her.

(Elizabeth) "Why didn't you get into cover?!"

(Kairos) "Ach, thought I could hit it again!"

(Lisa) "It's not sentient enough to think creatively, but it's not stupid enough to fall for that again!"

Her brow furrowed further even more, knowing her spells would do nothing to it.

Musse poked her head out and pulled out her ARCUS unit, letting it analyze the Hypostasis.

(Musse) "Miss Lisa, your advice?"

(Lisa) "Keep hitting it with any elemental attack that isn't Electro-Er, thunder!"

(Musse) "Understood, taking the shot! Kairos, Elizabeth!"

Elizabeth stood out of the way of Musse's barrel as her rifle began glowing a hot red.

Pulling the trigger, a single shot hit the core, making it stagger back and form back into it's cube state.

As miniature cubes shot towards them from the excess electricity, Lisa stepped out to the open and shielded them from the bolts on the ground shooting out.

Towa rushed over to Kairos and loaded another round into her pistol, shooting it into the air.

Kairos suddenly felt the pain in his body slowly fade away and looked to Towa.

(Kairos) "Thank y-"

(Towa) "Do that later, right now they need your help!"

(Musse) "Instructor, get down!"

Towa and Kairos saw the three of them dive out the way.

Instinctually, Kairos grabbed Towa's shoulders and shoved her down to the floor as laser beams shot out and spun across the forest, it spinning rapidly as it vaporized the leaves into smoke.

The trees were getting burnt, but thankfully not chipped enough to topple over, Kairos saw.

Once it was done, Kairos rolled into the open and got on knee, adjusting his glasses as he raised his hand and clenched it.

From the skies above the Hypostasis, a burning rock crashed itself on the Hypostasis, knocking the cubes that formed the laser into pieces as the core stood out in the open.

(Lisa) "It's exposed, attack now!"

Elizabeth stood next to Kairos and swiped her hands downwards, the air forming a sword-like shape and slicing through the core, making it slightly shatter and pieces fall off.

Musse's rifle glowed white as it fired a straight line of ice, going through the core.

Towa did the same as her pistol began to glow several colors, red, then white, then red again.

Lisa made sure to keep an eye on any of the excess electricity in the air, flicking her wrist and deflecting a bolt of lightning without looking at it.

It quickly formed back into shape, and stood for a moment as the shots reflected off it.

(Elizabeth) "What is it doing now?!"

The cubes broke off into smaller ones, forming a giant arrow-shape and-

(Lisa) "To the sides, now!"

Lisa jumped back as the Hypostasis formed into a drill-like shape and began spinning towards them, tearing apart any trees that was in its way.

Towa and Musse ran to the sides while Kairos and Elizabeth ducked as it barreled past them.

The trees it knocked over were falling down left and right, Musse almost getting hit by one.

(Towa) "ABOVE YOU!"

Elizabeth looked up and realized a tree was falling on top of her.

Lisa raised her book and a concentrated spell shot out, the strength of it rushing it forward as it collided into more trees and away from everyone.

When Lisa turned her attention back to the Hypostasis, she realized it had formed two giant walls.

Lisa's eyes widened as she tried to brace herself for the shock, the walls closing on her and the force sending her into a tree.

Lisa's body tumbled onto the floor and out in the open, her vision going in and out from the attack.

(Kairos) "Lisa!"

The Hypostasis began to form it's drill shape again while Kairos and Elizabeth rushed to Lisa's defense, shooting whatever spell they could as it began flying to them.

Musse and Towa tried to help with their guns, but they were having no effect.

As it got closer, Kairos tried to pick up Lisa to move her, joined by Elizabeth as it got dangerously close to tearing through them.

Although there were no trees nearby for it to be a hazard, they still couldn't move fast enough with Lisa in hand to get out of the way safely.

(Familliar boy's voice) "COMING THROUGH KIDS!"

Kairos and Elizabeth were tackled by Kazuma while Aigis got in front of Lisa.

(Aigis) "ATHENA!"

Her Persona appeared in front of the drill, the shield failing to be pierced as Athena raised its hand, and knocked it to the side, toppling trees as it bounced through the ground.

Aigis spun around and gave Lisa a hand, which she grabbed it and was helped up.

Kazuma got up and dusted himself off.

(Elizabeth) "Instructor?"

(Kazuma) "Yeah yeah, you're welcome, now get your asses up, that cube thing will be doing the same!"

Kazuma unsheathed his sword, letting Elizabeth and Kairos get up on their own.

As the Hypostasis was getting up and about to change forms, before the core was shelled off, Jean and Venti jumped from the top of the trees and used their Anemo Visions.

Jean first blew it into the air while Venti summoned a mini tornado, picking up the core and shredding it with the speeds of the wind.

Diluc ignited his sword as he slammed it down into the tornado, setting the wind ablaze with the core still inside.

Kurt and Juna jumped in as the core hit the floor, Kurt's sword dicing it to pieces while Juna used the force of her tonfas to dent it, making electricity shoot out with each strike.

It quickly got itself up with the cubes forming once more, this time shifting into a giant fist.

It swung first into Kurt and Juna, sending them flying back into Towa and Musse.

Then it shapeshifted into a pair of scissors, making the Vision users duck under cover as it almost cut them into two.

It finally formed a giant rectangle, slamming down in front of them and sending them into the air.

As the core revealed itself while the three landed on their feet, Astrid and Kazuma swung their weapons into it, Astrid piercing through it while Kazuma slashed it in half with his sword.

Aigis, Musse, Towa, Elizabeth, and Kairos readied their guns and spells, all opening fire together while Astrid and Kazuma dodged out the way.

The final bullet went through it, the core now full of holes, it began to twitch violently as it split into pieces.

It split into three prisms as the core remained invisible in the center.

(Lisa) "Destroy those prisms!"

Juna switched her tonfas into a gunner mode and pulled the trigger, shooting one prism to tiny pieces.

Aigis's Persona smashed another prism into the floor, completely eradicating any trace of it.

Diluc's flaming sword shot out a bird-like shape, turning the prism into cinders as he made a wide swing.

With the last of the prisms gone, the core began to twitch violently as the group formed together.

Lisa got in front of everyone and held out her hands, casting another field to block out the electricity that exploded into a bright purple, the skies turning from white to a dark gray, then the clouds finally disappearing.

Towa's team tried to catch their breath.

(Musse) "Whew, that was close..."

(Towa) "Now I'm reminded why Rean's the combat instructor..."

(Lisa) "Nonsense, you did just fine-...Ugh!"

Lisa fell to one knee, Diluc catching her in time.

(Diluc) "Hey, are you alright?"

(Jean) "You took a bad hit from the looks of it."

Jean looked at her back and saw a bleeding wound, as well from her head.

(Elizabeth) "Miss Lisa, I'm so sorry! If you didn't have to take your at-"

Lisa waved her hand in a dismissive manner, smiling through the pain now the adrenaline was wearing off.

(Lisa) "Don't apologize, cutie. Ol' Lisa will be just fine."

Jean and Diluc slowly helped her up while Venti turned to them.

(Venti) "Honestly, not bad for your first time fighting it!"

(Musse) "Thank you. Without Lisa, I'm not sure what would have happened."

(Aigis) "Indeed. We were only able to see snippets of the fight, but despite your differences you came to work together rather well."

(Elizabeth) "Why...T-Thank you Instructors."

(Astrid) "Wow, no love for you Instructor Towa."

(Towa) "Oh come on now, don't make this a competition!"

The group began to back and forth, Astrid moving to Elizabeth and Kairos.

(Astrid) "So, what's your impression of 'em? Kazuma and Venti just argued a lot the entire time. Was pretty funny though."

(Elizabeth) "They're not as uncivilized as I was expecting to be honest."

(Kairos) "Psh, who's judging on character now?"

(Elizabeth) "Shut. Up. Already."

(Astrid) "And now I get to hear you guys argue. Ugh, great."

(Musse) "...Huh, where's Instructor Rean and the others?"

(Everyone) "..."

Towa pulled out her ARCUS unit again.

(Towa) "Rean?"

Everyone stiffened when they didn't hear a response.

(Towa) "Rean?!"

Rean was looking for any signs of an attack before hearing his ARCUS unit go off.

(Towa's Voice) "Rean, I think we found it! I'm sending our coordinates-AAH!"

(Rean) "Towa?! Towa are you-"

BZZZZZRRRRT!

(Sitri) "Did something happen?!"

(Rean) "Yeah, Towa's team found it! She sent us the coordinates so we need to-AAAGH!"

Rean fell to one knee, reaching for his head.

(Altina) "Instructor?!"

(Ash) "The hell's going-DAGH! SHIT!"

Ash stopped moving and reached for his head as well, followed by Altina, then the rest of the group one by one, their heads pounding as their vision suddenly faded to white.

The inside of the room was glowing a faint blue-white, two green haired individuals walking through them, though one was significantly taller than the other.

(Flayn) "Father, are you sure this is the way?"

Seteth's face scrunched up as he stared at one of the crystals in his hand. The directions it was pointing to was hazy at best.

(Seteth) "No...No Flayn, I am not sure. But we have to try something at least."

Flayn looked behind her, worried.

(Flayn) "Of course..."

They stopped themselves to what appeared to be a massive doorway. Seteth held the stone up to it and the door slowly began to open, light pouring out from the other side.

The two were about to take a step through the door before a shot of electricity bolted over their heads.

Seteth quickly raised the crystal up, and it glowed a bright blue before whatever was shooting at them disappeared.

Inside the crystal was a dark purple fog before it quickly disappeared with a white flash.

(Flayn) "What was that?!"

(Seteth) "Something we weren't looking for. Perhaps the deeper we go into the tower, we'll be able to find it."

Saying nothing else, they looked around as moving platforms shifted around them.

Seteth and Flayn stepped onto them as everything turned into a static mess, slowly fading out of view...

(Towa's voice) "Rean?"

Rean hazily reached for his ARCUS unit, responding to a very concerned Towa.

(Rean) "Agh, we're here!...I think."

Everyone looked at each other, the headache slowly subsiding.

(Kaeya) "What in the world was that?"

(Amber) "Ugh, my head!"

(Altina) "Is...is that supposed to happen naturally?"

(Helena) "Unless we're in extreme stress situations where our physical bodies are pushed to the limit, no."

(Stefan) "And considering we just started our assignment."

Sitri began speaking in her head.

(Sitri) Sothis...?

(Sothis) "Agh, don't worry, I felt it too...Though, wasn't that?-"

(Sitri) Seteth and Flayn...

(Sothis) "Doubt anyone else would know what they saw besides you and Rean."

(Sitri) What were they doing in the Tower, I thought we cleared it by now!

(Sothis) "I have no idea, but we have to tell this to the other instructors."

(Rean) "...And that was the end of that...vision? Or something. I'm still not sure."

(Towa's Voice) "...Understood. Let's meet back up at Marianne's and tell her that we finished the job."

(Rean) "Roger that. And Towa? Good work."

(Towa's voice) "Heh, um...thank you."

Rean hung up the call and motioned for everyone to follow, everyone still out of it from whatever it was they saw.

Later...

(Aigis) "A vision?"

(Kazuma) "Holy shit, Seteth and Flayn are alive?!"

(Sitri) "Possibly? I'm not sure..."

(Rean) "It's still blurry in my head, and I'm sure the others agree."

Everyone nodded in agreement.

(Towa) "We should investigate once we get back, but..."

(Towa) "I'm glad we were able to help out, Marianne!"

(Marianne) "Thank you so much for your assistance. As always, you're always rescuing us from dangers."

Marianne smiled and bowed.

(Rean) "Of course. If there's any other troubles, please call upon us to help if you need it."

(Sitri) "Thank you for your kindness."

(Marianne) "And as requested, we have the railroads to take you back to Garreg Mach. It should be a day's trip.

(Juna) "Man, it just feels like went to a different country instead of a world with how familiar it is..."

(Amber) "What's a railroad?"

(Musse) "Oh, you see it's-..."

Class VII and the Knights began engaging in a friendly banter, which gave Kazuma to groan.

(Kazuma) "A train?! Why the hell are we taking a train when we can teleport?!"

Sothis appeared for a brief moment when she made sure no one was looking in their direction.

(Sothis) "We'll explain it later, but for now just shut up and deal with it."

Rean and Towa laughed while Aigis had a smirk.

Kazuma was ready to cuss out Sothis before the students approached them.

(Kairos) "Instructors? I...would like to apologize for my earlier outburst-"

(Rean) "Don't sweat it."

(Kairos) "Huh?"

(Towa) "To be fair, it IS a little strange for a bunch of people to pop out of portals like this and boss you around. But that being said, we are your instructors for a reason!"

(Kazuma) "Some respect goes a long way, kid!"

(Astrid) "You look as old as we do..."

(Kazuma) "And YOU shutting up can go a long way!"

Aigis slapped the back of his head and nodded.

(Aigis) "Apologies for him. Although he is right to some degree. We are happy to be your instructors, no matter what we have done in the past."

(Stefan) "I look forward to your guidance, Instructors!"

(Elizabeth) "As do I. I will make the Blue Lions proud for having me as their chosen!"

(Helena) "Hear that Astrid? You shutting up means they'll like you more."

Astrid gently punched Helena in the shoulder, Helena's expression being deadpan from the delivery to the literal punchline.

(Astrid) "Same goes for you, smartass."

Marianne approached the Garreg Mach students and looked at Kairos.

(Marianne) "You've grown up so much despite the fact it's only been a few years. I hope in the future we can have a moment to talk, so we can catch up!"

(Kairos) "A-As do I Lady- Er, I mean...Marianne."

Marianne's smile made him unable to look at her in the eye and she turned to Sitri.

(Marianne) "It's right this way. Follow me everyone."

And in a few moments, the members of House Isekai stepped onto a train that took them to Garreg Mach, Marianne waving goodbye to everyone...

Today's instructions were done for the day, the doors being opened as students and guards went from position to position.

A good number of students went to their dorms while many others went into the mess hall.

Guards piloted massive Knight mechs out of the hangar and towards the Gates, practicing military drills and simply standing guard for any potential threats.

Kairos, Elizabeth, Astrid, Helena, and Stefan walked out their respective classrooms and towards the Hangar.

(Helena) "Last day of hanging with the Golden Deer...Can't say I'll miss them too much."

(Astrid) "I will a little, I was FINALLY getting used to the schedule!"

Kairos shrugged.

(Kairos) "It's not like we'll never see them again. We're still attending the same Academy."

(Stefan) "I'm a bit sad I can't hang out with my friends as much, but I guess that's the nature of an Officer's academy."

(Elizabeth) "Well think of it this way, we now have a new opportunity to go down in history!...Even though our instructors are those offworlders."

(Helena) "I still can't tell, do you like them or not?"

The banter went back and forth a few more times as they moved to the hangar.

The Imperial soldier in front nodded to them and let them pass.

(Stefan) "Oh, Kairos."

(Kairos) "Hm?"

(Stefan) "Your data from the fight with that...cube thing is recorded on your crystal right?"

(Kairos) "Yeah. What about it?"

(Stefan) "You should send that to the rest of us, so we can see everyone's fighting style."

(Helena) "Oh yeah, we didn't get to fight during that."

(Kairos) "Sure, one second."

Kairos took out his communication crystal and let it connect with Astrid, Stefan, and Helena's.

Stefan nodded and smiled.

(Stefan) "Thanks, I'm pretty excited to see what they can do!"

(Elizabeth) "Soon enough, we'll get to know how they are-"

(Recette's voice) "Yoohoo, over here!"

The five stopped once they saw Recette waving over to them excitedly.

(Tear) "Welcome. Your quarters are now finished."

(Astrid) "Dam-Er, Dang, it's only been like 3 days, and you're already finished?"

(Recette) "Yup! There's nothing that blood, sweat and heckuva lotta gold can't accomplish!"

(Tear) "The wonders of capitalism."

(Helena) "...Capi-what?"

(Tear) "Nevermind. This way, your instructors are currently in a meeting but everyone else is waiting for you in the room.

The five followed Recette and Tear into their barracks into an elevator, going below the hangar and storage floor...

Garreg Mach's Listening Chamber...

(Sitri) "The other team contacted me and let us know their task is done. They're currently on their way back on the railway and should be back within the hour."

(Towa) "It's crazy to know Slayer sent Elliot, Fie, and Laura to us!"

(Rean) "Duvalie being with them is sure going to make her a lot more irritable."

(Kazuma) "She seems like a bitch."

(Towa) "That's putting it lightly..."

(Aigis) "Regardless, it is good to have reinforcements backing us up."

(Rean) "...Valimar, can you confirm signatures of anyone else present in Fodlan?"

Valimar's voice echoed out of his ARCUS unit.

(Valimar) "...Affirmative. It would appear some of the Persona Users are present as well."

(Aigis) "Really?!"

(Valimar) "Ryuji Sakamoto, Ann Takamaki, Mitsuru Kirijo, and Naoto Shirogane, according to my scans."

(Kazuma) "How come no one else has reported this?"

(Towa) "Yeah, that is pretty weird..."

(Valimar) "I am still scanning, so I am unable to tell where they are. Analysis would take a day or so."

(Rean) "Just keep us updated Valimar."

(Valimar) "Of course. Speaking of which, it seems Duvalie's group is about to arrive."

(Rean) "Let's go ahead and meet them then."

The instructors nodded and left before Sitri's Crystal began beeping.

(Sitri) "Hold on, I have to take this. I'll be with you soon."

The four left Sitri and Sothis alone as Sitri opened it up, revealing a small reflection of Edelgard.

(Sitri) "Edelgard?"

(Edelgard) "Hello, Sitri. With the official reformation of House Isekai, we would like to assign your tasks for this month, as it was done when we were enrolled."

(Sothis) "So...why are you calling just by yourself?"

(Edelgard) "And that is my next point..."

As the train approached the station, Stefan saw Rean and the other instructors meet up with the rest of the group.

(Stefan) "...Even more of the offworlders."

He looked to see no one was watching him, and slowly snuck away from the group.

Everyone was distracted meeting Rean's friends to notice Stefan had disappeared into a corner.

Stefan looked at his crystal and saw the recording of Kairos and Elizabeth fighting the...whatever the hell it was.

Though, he was honestly glad no one was hurt.

He tweaked his communication crystal by turning a dial to the left and pressing in a specific combination with the buttons on it.

And with that, a voice popped up on the other side.

(Distorted Voice) "There are you. Goddess, we thought something happened. Status?"

(Stefan) "I'm fine, don't worry. And something did. House Isekai has returned."

(Distorted Voice) "...Say that again, it sounded like you said House Isekai."

(Stefan) "I did say House Isekai. It's the White Cloud Contingency."

(Distorted Voice) "...Keep your eye on them. And be careful. We all saw what happened to the poor bastards who underestimated them seven years ago."

(Stefan) "Understood. And you all be careful as well."

(Distorted Voice) "Godspeed."

Stefan nodded and hung up. He slowly blended back into the crowd and saw Kairos looking in his direction.

(Kairos) "Hey, there you are!"

(Helena) "That armor slowing you down or something?"

(Astrid) "I told you guys to wait up, he was falling behind!"

(Stefan) "Hah, yeah I got lost. This place is huge!"

(Elizabeth) "Goodness gracious, just speak up Stefan! Anyways, what do you think of Instructor Rean's colleagues?"

(Helena) "...I like that grey-haired one."

(Kairos) "Of course you would."

(Astrid) "T-That orange haired guy, and...and that blue haired lady! So hot...!"

(Kairos) "...What?"

(Astrid) "I-I MEAN-"

The four exchanged jabs with each other, Stefan occasionally throwing in lines as well, but he was far more concerned that the old members alongside new people of House Isekai were coming.

(Stefan) "...Hmph."

He breathed in and out to calm himself.

(Stefan) No matter what happens, even with them here, they can't interfere...Fodlan HAS to be free from this rule!

Yeah, the P3 cast had their goals but I don't really see what the goal of the Phantoms is that isn't personal. Or maybe I'm just not seeing it, I don't know... *shrug* ... I heard it was all of them but then again, for all I know, it could be just him... well if nothing else, P5 gives good ideas for fanfiction and such, lots of different possibilities and all. I don't know, I feel like they are treating it as a game, P4 didn't get serious (truly) till Namatame - in my opinion. What about in P5?

Ok…….sorry I don’t think I explained it very well….. (also sorry for the late reply, been typing it slowly since you sent it, and had to really delay it cause of the manga uploads ;w;) Also under the cut cause it’s long and vague spoilers

Alright… So P4 and P5 have one goal, catch killer and stop corrupt adults, yes they have their own reasons for joining….but their individual goal is to all strive for that same goal. (I should also note that I kind of equate “self centered” as kinda “I put my own goals before everyone else”)

P3? Everyone has their reason for joining….but they also have their own goals that don’t completely align with the main group goal (at least until the end). There are a lot of times (usually in the morning at the front gate) and they’re always like “What do you think will happen if we do *insert Tartarus or Full Moon thing*” or “What do you think life will be like afterwards” or “Should we do this *insert thing*?” It feels like they’re always questioning what’s going on with the group and it’s like….can we just get on the same freaking page. 8U But then again it feels like this is kind of only the focus for the MC, the MC’s thing is SLs and “Oh I guess shadow related stuff”, everyone else has their own thing. Yukari wants to black ops her way into discovering the truth about…..a lot of stuff, Junpei just wants to do hero stuff and is like “Haha as long as I get to beat shadows and feel validated by my power I don’t care 8U,” Akihiko wants power and only really cares about that, Ken just wants revenge, Shinjiro just wants to repent and let Ken stab him tbh, Fuuka wants to support everyone, Mitsuru wants to burden her family’s issue, Aigis just wants to protect the MC, Koromaru……actually Koromaru is on page with the group goal so he has his crap together (and Mitsuru’s and Fuuka’s goals align with the group goal so yeah). 

Side tangent, P3′s main goal is weird cause it feels like they don’t even know, at first it’s “I guess we can explore Tartarus…..” and then it changes to “Oh I guess we’ll destroy the Full Moon bosses” and then it’s like “OH jk, we get it now we gotta explore Tartarus and stop Nyx we got are crap together now guys! 8U” 

Phew, ok so yeah everyone had their own agency and such, I mean the game should really be called “Persona 3: Everyone does their own thing 8U” At least till the end where they all finally unite. Anyways, this isn’t a bad thing, but it’s def separates itself from P4/5. With P4/5 being “hey we went through this traumatic thing, and I think we should stop that from happening to anyone else!” P4′s being “confronting shadow and/or people getting thrown into TVs (be it just kidnapped or killed) so no one has to suffer!” and P5′s being like “wow we got really screwed over by these people, and so did other people too, let’s stop them and other’s like them so no one else has to suffer!” They all have their reasons for joining (Yosuke not wanting anyone to get murdered like Saki, Yukiko and other’s not wanting to possibly get kidnapped like they were, just no more murders in general, and P5 kids just don’t want the same injustice done to them to be done to other’s), but they all have a common goal from the beginning. The P5 kids are bit of peacocks but they aren’t really self centered, I can’t even say the same for P3 characters (if anything a lot of them have their own self interest at heart, in the beginning, is the best way I can describe it but again this isn’t a bad thing). And again, how take “self centered” P3 kids kind of did their own devices for a good portion of the game, while P5 kids worked together when they were on a team (I should note on a team, cause everyone had their own lives prior to that and of course wouldn’t line up with the teams’ ideals, same for P4). But, P5 kids are peacocks (going off of the Phantom Thief trope they were based off of), and they do have their own justice that they stick to against what everyone else thinks (which…..is a complicated aspect of the game I’m not sure was explored to it’s fullest but I’ll leave it at that, then again you could say P3/4 kids had their own justice the enforced with only Strega and Adachi calling them out on it so….yeah).

I’m pretty sure it was just him (again unless there is a 3rd ending I don’t know about) because it only showed him and not everyone else. 

As for treating it like a game….. Tbh I don’t think it’s fair to say P4 kids weren’t taking it “seriously.” They are more relaxed about it tho (then again it felt like P3 kids were pretty relaxed until Oct 4th (something I noticed replaying P3 this year). It’s really only around that time stuff starts to hit the fan, and people start to evolve (like literally, that’s when 2 people evolve their personas and the rest follow later). Also the P4 kids might have gotten cocky, no one had died (that they had saved, King Moron was a blow but they stepped up to the plate to catch the copy cat killer), which isn’t bad tbh, I mean P3 kids were getting kinda cocky too before Oct 4th. 8U But you need to keep in mind P4′s main aspect when they first started development was “fun”, hence yellow. You are suppose to have “fun” in P4. With P5 is oddly also similar, because of the Phantom Thief aspect. Phantom Thieves are known to play by their own rules, they’re freeing and fun. The P5 kids take themselves seriously, but they can also be cocky and have fun with their missions, I mean when it gets really serious in the mission they’ll buckle down but they also keep in mind to have fun.

Oh! I wanna hear your hyper critical opinions towards p3 (and p4 if youre up to it). I am genuinely curious as to what it is!

pDSOAPFADFJIOA;FJIA;JF;DA Ahhhhhhh if only I wrote down everything I said (I did this over a year ago). under the cut cause long:

It was easier cause I was ripping it as we played and I had some nitpicks in the dialogue (more so with like “WAIT THAT MAKES NO SENSE!” or “WHY ARE YOU JUMPING TO THAT CONCLUSION?!” kinda thing rather than a translation error). But I can’t really specify what it was cause it was so long ago. The only one that comes to mind is when they’re jerks to Naoto, it must be how she’s talking in Japan cause like.......they’re really, REALLY rude to her. Like, they do realize she has a right to be suspicious of them right? Like, don’t get me wrong, I loooooooove the animosity in some way (great foe-yay/rival shipping yay fodder for me to ship her with the MC ahuhuhu 8U) but dang I wish they made more tension (and made it even). That’s actually the one thing I thought the P4 anime did right (and trust me I don’t think that anime did a lot of things right, esp concerning Naoto...ironically XD), they really built the tension between her and the group very well. Anyway I want to go into more detail some other time, maybe when I replay the two games, but for now I’ll give you a general overview). 

Ok so all and all I think P3 and P4 are fine the way they are. They did a good job with them. P3 for being Hashino’s first hoorah into the series (also didn’t have enough time or money to include everything and had to cut stuff, LIKE THE FEMC! ;W;), and P4 for.....having such....a small.....budget....and....not a lot of time....and.....the company was struggling.....Like dang man I’m surprised we got P4. So like, compared to P5, I’m a lot easier on these two cause in one case Hashino was trying to find his style, and the other he was struggling with working with almost nothing (P5, however, didn’t have any of these issues).

Ok so like.....My biggest issue with P3 is mostly it’s characters and character relationships. P4.....I wish we could’ve hung out with Naoto earlier (even before she joined the team, that would’ve been interesting if the MC and her met up and attempted to draw more info out of each other about the case), and I wouldn’t have minded if they added more to the murder plot. 

P3....ngl the first act until Aigis show’s up is.....so....slow.....and boring....and no one is really likeable imo. I hated Yukari, I hated Junpei. Mitsuru seemed interesting but she wouldn’t hang out. Akihiko....didn’t really care for him, but I couldn’t  hang out with him. I couldn’t hang out with Yukari or Junpei if I wanted to (Yukari won’t hang out till around Aigis joins anyway, I remember from my last playthrough we tried, it was an NG+ and she snubbed us). Kenji is a moron (don’t hate him, feel bad for him, but god so boring), Kaz is a moron, didn’t do Yuko the first time (should’ve I did like her, hate I only got the first rank the first time I ever played through P3), I didn’t like Chihiro (she started off fine but was kinda creepy later on), can’t hang with Fuuka unless you have maxed courage cause eff me (not like I can ever remember her gd link anyways that’s how forgettable it is, I don’t even like Yukari but at least I remember her’s). Basically......the SL sucked balls. Major balls (I liked Maiko, the Star dude, the old couple, the Hermit, and the Devil......I guess the Tower too he was ok, and....that’s it....for outside teammate links aka Aigis and Mitsuru). Silly was not a happy camper when she popped P3 in after having fun with P4 (and esp after being told P3 was a GAZZILLION TIMES BETTER!!!!1!), tbh I took like a 4 month break from P3 and replayed P4 before I picked P3 back up (after Aigis showed up I def enjoyed it a heck of a lot more after that). Now, P3′s plot is really good and very solid, it’s P3′s strong point. My issue is that.....everything P3 does is for the sake of the plot. It does it well, don’t get me wrong, but everything about the characters is only happening cause “plot demands it.” They never felt super fleshed out, and it’s probably why they feel a little odd (maybe even flat-ish) in the spinoff games (even more so than the P4 team), cause the spinoff games aren’t relying on their (P3′s) plot. I also don’t buy a lot of their friendships (esp the males teammates with the Male MC), Yukari and Mitsuru’s is....ok (I don’t like how the game makes it feel like “oh you have a dead dad? me too! let’s be friends” as a thing, I know she’s just trying to relate and sympathize but.....I’ve seen that as a complaint come up by a lot of people, for someone so popular Yukari isn’t much of a people person in this regard, from how the game frames it that is). Also the fact you can’t friend girls. There’s not a lot of bonding moments in the game, there’s more than P5, but I still don’t feel as close to the team as I should even by the end. And gawd, Ryoji? Wut I’m friends with him now? How? When? I like the guy but I don’t think he likes me. You’d think he’d want to hang out with me cause.....PHAROS! ;W;

There’s more but I don’t want to leave you hanging, but anyway it’s just....I have a lot of issues with how the characters are handled. They’re good characters, I wish there just....more to them. But the thing is.....THIS IS AN EASY FIX! You’ve probably heard me say about the P5 manga/anime “a change in medium can do wonders” or something like that. That’s cause I have P3 to look at. The manga and movies do wonders for P3 my problems with P3. There’s more bonding, character relationships are improved yadda yadda. Yes there are issues within the manga and movies themselves...... but they do a lot of good things too. One of the things the movies did was actually......influenced by it’s P3P remake (aka establish a relationship with Ryoji, yay!). Oh man, P3P/the FeMC fixed sooooooooooooo many problems (it also added some even more awesome duality to a game that already had a lot of duality going on with it), I can talk to Yukari and Junpei from the get go (and they treat me different, and more pleasantly than when I played as the dude), I can actually hang out with the guys (and I DON’T automatically have to date them, in fact I have to work to date them, every single one), the stats for character requirements are laid out more fairly like in P4 so by the time someone is available I can probably talk to them (without having to kill myself trying to manage my social stats).But man, the first act just flows so much better when you’re able to bond with your teammates (also Rio and Saori are great SLs!). Even tho they don’t change the female SLs pretty much at all (making it veeeery gay XD), it does feel like it is at least a friendship by the end (even tho I’m literally dating everyone and you can’t tell me otherwise! 8U). I also love her personality comes across more clearing (and varied) than the males, there’s a more clear progression of her psyche than her male counterpart (it’s still there, just not as obvious, and I love how they’re inverted to each other~! :D). It’s just, with P3, the really minor changes go a LOOOOOOOOOOONG way. The only thing I would change with P3 is the minor stuff. Just add more scenes (that don’t take up time) to the game, on both sides. Gameplay wise add more SLs, alternative SLs even. Heck, if they remade the game, I think being able to go to new places would be cool (and it’d be where you’d meet your new SLs) cause man you’re in a city, you deserve to do more stuff! It’s just the little things man, the little things can make a big impact! It says something that probably my fav Persona fanfic and fav Strain42 Persona parody comicis the P3(P) ones, even tho P4 is my fav game. You change a few things around, even the medium, and it makes a difference. 

Ok onto P4. Now P4 is the opposite of P3, with P4 it’s strong point is it’s characters. The characters drive P4. P4 is character based, P3 is plot based. P4 the plot takes a back seat. This is fine, it works in P4′s favor, like how the plot worked in P3′s favor. P4′s plot is ok, it does a great job with supporting the characters. Sadly I understand if you wanted more murder mystery (or just mystery) in a murder mystery game. And in P4′s defense, again, it had a barebones budget and not a lot of time and the company was doing pretty bad and P4 still came out pretty great (was the most popular before P5 came out, lord knows if it may even come out on top again if it gets an updated graphics/gameplay remake). And it’s also really hard to keep a murder mystery going for about 70-100ish hours (and only finally solving it in the last 1/5 of the game). Also P4, like P3 (forgot to mention that above), sticks to it’s theme really well. Even making it solving it/obtaining the good ending routes semi-difficult. Sure you can deduce Adachi, but tbh it’s also difficult. They do a pretty decent job building the guy up as a friend (even more so in P4G due to the SL). Izanami is also well hidden. The game makes you work and it rewards you.

Now if I were to change stuff.....it’d range from minor to major depending on what we’re talking about. Minor would be adding more scenes of Naoto bonding (she needs it cause the late game doesn’t do her justice), and like I mentioned above, I think have a deduction off would be interesting (Naoto’s SL was one of my favs cause of how we solved a gd mystery, god I’m so mad that never made it into the anime, even as an ova, it could’ve been a great team-building filler one too). Another thing I’d add would maybe be.....something similar to quests, but instead you have to solve a mystery (which means talking to people, and investigating areas), it can range from finding a cat in a tree or finding a bully or whatever. Just something minor that can give the mystery lovers something fun to do. I’d also have Izanami/gas station attendant be an SL (she originally was the Empress before giving that to Margret). Oh I’d also like to take Margret out on “dates” (c’mon gimme dem fun shenanigans).  And.....now this can be minor or major (depending on what they do, but it’s probably more major), add another red herring. I don’t care how.....but....it would help draw attention away from Adachi. Maybe they’re added from some of the mini mysteries you solved, maybe they squeeze an extra dungeon into the game some how-some way (doubt it for the later, that’d be a major change), but another red herring would be good. 

For a Major change it’d be restructuring the plot a looooooot, adding more dungeons for more red herrings. I would actually make Dojima a red herring. He originally was suppose to be the killer (but they thought that was too dark, understandable), with Adachi as the red herring instead. Other than that I’m not exactly sure how they’d overhaul that. I mean, if they made a P4 game based off of P3P’s route (aka different route/game, different killer), I’d like to see their prototype stuff play out. Short-haired ice queen Yukiko, delinquent/bully Rise, Pretty boy Naoto (actual boy this time, also make him dateable.....what? I like Naoto 8U), 1st year MC, Female Teddie, Adult(?) Kanji, Dojima as the killer, Adachi as the red herring (Chie and Yosuke are actually pretty much the same). I’d really like to see that. 

But tbh, I don’t really know where to start in giving P4 a major overhaul (except to go with the prototype set up), possibly cause it’d mean introducing/creating new characters. But P5? I do, oh man I know where I would start (P5 is where I’d make my major changes left and right, no minor changes here...except maybe dungeon 1), I’d make soooooo many changes to P5. But that’s for another time (not now, it’d take too long). 8U
