Aparshakti Khurana spoke candidly with Bollywood Hungama about the film's denouement, sharing his ideas on various other endings. "Of course, I would've loved to see Sondhi facing justice and Pushkin and Ashok emerging victorious, but that would've been a cliché resolution," he told me.

Instead, he emphasized Pushkin and Ashok's unusual emotional journey, in which they build a profound connection despite never meeting outside the inquiry room. Their friendship, formed amid high stakes and tension, demonstrates a deep grasp of when to engage and when to draw back. "They became a team, but the stakes were too high for things to go as planned," he explained, emphasizing the film's depth and complexity.

Aparshakti also reflected on his approach to role selection after working on Berlin. He said, "Not really!" Since I started working at the age of 20, my process has never changed. My attitude to work, dealing with people, and managing personal and professional issues has always been consistent with my nature and personality in real life."

In the cold winter of 1993 New Delhi, Berlin unfolds as a tense espionage thriller when authorities arrest a deaf-mute young man ([Ishwak Singh]) on suspicion of being a foreign spy. The case takes a difficult turn when a skilled sign language expert [Aparshakti Khurana] is called in to interpret, only to be dragged into a web of intrigue. With charges of assisting a known spy [Anupriya Gonenka], the truth becomes elusive, and an intelligence officer [Rahul Bose] races against the clock to discover it.
