A shopfront in Kiev is displaying posters in support of Oleg Sentsov, a Ukrainian film director whose hunger strike is now entering its 60th day. Mr Sentsov is serving a 20-year sentence in a penal colony in Labytnangi, Siberia, having been convicted on trumped-up charges of terrorism. He began his hunger strike on May 14th 2018, demanding that Russia release all 64 Ukrainian political prisoners. Their names are listed on the poster on the right.
 Since our last update, Mr Sentsov has been permitted to see his cousin for the first time in four years. After the visit Natalya Kaplan said “In particular, he asked Ombudsman Denisova, Father Kliment, the independent doctors, and consular officials who have tried to visit him to go visit the other political prisoners, so that no one forgets them,”. She said he has lost 15 kilograms (about 33lbs) but is determined to continue his protest. The European Parliament passed a resolution demanding the immediate release of Oleg Sentsov and all Russia's other Ukrainian political prisoners on June 14th 2018.
