So full of truth oneee of the best articles ive read as an anticonformist bohemian girl that didnt wanted to go to high school and never ever to College . After spending even a few days in the American schooling system, it becomes perfectly clear to students and teachers alike that school is not really about learning. In fact, to the ambitious learner, it seems as though school actively makes it harder to learn anything useful by taking up lots of valuable time, ruining sleep schedules, and separating all of the bodies of knowledge into discrete disciplinary boxes.

In my case, most of my friends lamented that school had actually ruined reading and learning for them and one of my close friends summed up the learning environment of high school precisely, saying, “I’m too busy to learn.”

It is also quite clear to the adults that send children to school for thirty-five hours a week as adolescents and often pay six-figures to send their children to college that school is not really about learning. When I asked the adults in my life how much of what they learned in college they actually used, most laughed. I think the highest answer I got was around 10%.

If school is not really about learning, then why do all ambitious, smart young people go and why do all of the adults in their lives insist that they go? The conventional answer is the financial payoff. Students don’t go to college to learn about Plato, but rather to earn a larger payday after college. In this view, college is a financial investment.

The conventional view of college as a financial investment is flawed. Almost half of the observed college degree premium can be explained simply by ability bias. Of the other half, almost all of it is explained by Signaling Theory, which has interesting implications that suggest, particularly for high-achieving, smart students, there may actually be an economic deterrent for attending college.

In this essay, I will analyze the economic argument against attending college as well as posit an alternative explanation for why students attend college and parents insist on it: conformity.

Primarily, students attend college to signal conformity to members of their tribe, notably their parents, relatives, teachers, and peers. While it is possible to signal intelligence, work ethic, perseverance, and many other traits in other ways, a college degree remains the only true signal of conformity.

If a student refuses to adequately signal conformity, members of the tribe will impose social costs on them in the form of lost friendships, disapproving “life talks,” and sometimes even the withdrawal of emotional and financial support. Scariest of all for the student who skips college, he must stand on his own as an individual and take responsibility for his own actions, decisions, and beliefs. This is true the mark of adulthood and it is a lot of responsibility, but for those who are ready, it is incredibly liberating.

Stop saying "TERF" when you mean "transmisogynist." Stop saying "MRA" when you mean anti-feminist. And stop levying either accusation at trans guys whose views are literally just that we can experience misogyny and that anti-masc sentiments are harmful. Why are people mad at the barbie promo?

it's not a standard promotional cycle for a film that happens to involve mattel's famous toy. it is a massive brand push to revitalize a product for a new age, and the movie is the commercial. it is not normal to have promotion that includes collaborations with: airbnb, hair tools, many makeup companies, rollerskates, forever21, canned lemonade, ruggable, toothburshes, skincare, shoe lines, gap, pacsun, OPI etc etc etc............... like i'm going to go see the movie! it will in all likelihood be fun and enjoyable. but this rollout is explicitly mattel's first phase in what they hope is a HUGE endeavor to make "cinema" out of every one of their products, as a way to get more people to buy these products. regardless of how the barbie movie turns out, it is not actually good for anyone to have a failing film industry turn to self-cannibalizing commercial products for story. i hope everyone has a good time! i don't give a fuck if you want to buy a hot pink dress and go with your girlfriends and revel in your #womanhood or whatever. but the degree to which mattel has already had input in the actual movie + made people think that their massive push of product is some sort of cool innovative trendy Promotion (while having plans to do this to. 45 other producuts) is like. lol oh boy.

Trans existence is the reactionary scapegoat du jour, a convenient symbol for regressive ideologues to rally against because we constitute a convenient effigy to burn, an existential threat to the patriarchal ideology of 'immutable', 'biological' sex upon which their 'natural order' (of male-supremacy and misogynistic exploitation) is founded.

During a cultural moment where the right's intentions to directly attack bodily autonomy and non-heterosexual, non-reproductive modes of existence are being plainly stated, where the nativist and natalist violence upon which states and their colonial orders are founded is being made most explicit, the response to this overt declaration of war on our ability to do what we will with our bodies is ... non-existent.

Feminism is being thoroughly repudiated by the left, by advocates of collectivization and queer activists alike. The "male loneliness crisis" is spoken of as our most pressing cultural issue, eliding the reactionary turn among men who are responding to deepening capitalist contradictions by demanding their patriarchal entitlement over women's labor and bodies. Trans people's existence is considered a luxury belief, established and proven healthcare is called 'experimental', and we are perceived as affluent eccentrics seeking novel forms of costuming rather than a thoroughly brutalized, impoverished, and stigmatized demographic sinking further and further into the margins.

Conservatives who rail against abortion and no-fault divorce now claim the label of "women's rights" because they also call for the eradication of transsexuality. The connections between the opposition to trans existence and the threats to women's political and economic independence are obvious, but no one is making them.

We are not organizing a robust, materialist, ideological opposition to this reactionary backlash on the basis of bodily autonomy, the emancipation of marginalized genders, or the right to exist independently from patriarchal structures such as the nuclear family.

We are arguing with each other about validity, about whether it's "biologically essentialist" to observe that society enables men to exploit women, and about whether anyone who speaks plainly about misogyny is a "TERF".

I stand here seeing things get worse for my sisters and my siblings, cis and trans and non-binary and intersex and queer and even heterosexual and more, watching us devour each other while working class men settle for dominion over their wives and families in exchange for being compliant for their bosses, and I wonder if we'll realize what must be done before it's too late.

I don't know. I don't have an answer for you.

At least, not a good one.

Ich habe schon ein paar Streams, ein paar Videos von Hakon gesehen, aber wow, noch nie war er so genervt, so wütend auf jemanden und hat seinen Gefühlen freien Lauf gelassen. T-Tekk ist schlicht und ergreifend fern der Realität, ein Frauenfeind, könnte durchaus ein Incel sein und gehört von jeder, wirklich jeder Plattform gebannt. Wer wirklich einmal einen Grund braucht, um sich zu übergeben, der darf sich gerne diese Reaction ansehen. Natürlich ist T-Tekk der Grund, warum man sich nur noch übergeben möchte.

One side effect of the general ways that MRAs go about their discourse that is particularly frustrating to me is that every single time a man attempts to discuss problems that are primarily or exclusively faced by men in a gendered context, it is immediately assumed to be a bad faith argument centered around the idea that feminism caused the issue and women should be fixing it. This reaction makes it all but impossible to discuss gendered problems that men experience, and makes it easy to dismiss it when people attempt to do so earnestly. It also reinforces the frustrating idea that the diagram of "women" and "feminists" looks like this:
