You can argue with someone who believes in the existence of Truth, but if their foundation is "truth is a social construct", there's really nowhere to go with that.

When you point out their beliefs have been tested, they will always see it as a trick. They are perfectly right, and cannot be wrong, and evidence only counts when it suits The Message.

Which is why these people get jobs at BBC UK, then are shocked to walk outside and see British people. They rewrote history to make whites have never existed, but then they walk outside and they are still there?

That people these days don't know the golden principles of debate, and I think I need to remind everyone very briefly.

Remember:

Never enter a debate knowing that you are correct.

Always consider the possibility that you are in the wrong.

Listen to your opponent and consider their views.

Empathize with your opponent's history on the subject.

Use constructive criticism while politely sharing your rebuttal.

Always be open to the possibility of agreeing with your opponent.

Do not mudsling, insult or attack your opponent.

Do not use strawman arguments.

Your argument is not that your opponent is incorrect, but rather that your stance is preferable.

Do not use labels.

Do not bring outside drama into an argument.

Always be open to compromise.

Always be willing to mend your argument, especially if presented with new information from your opponent.

Literally every single one of these is very regularly forgotten, especially on social media.

If you just block your opponent or silence their ability to engage in the argument, this is an act of desperation in knowing you have no ground to stand on and you're running away in cowardice.
