“Can you come and get me right now . . . please?” with ex!AJ

Your friends had pushed you to go on a date to get over AJ after you broke off your engagement. The date wasn’t going well, the guy was pretty pushy and he red flags flying that you couldn’t ignore. You excused yourself before going to the bathroom. You sat in the stool hovering over AJ’s number, you didn’t want to get one of your friends involved. The phone rang twice before his voice appears. ‘Can you come and get me right now… Please’. He could hear it in your voice that you were desperate. You shared the location and telling him you were in the bathroom. A few minutes go by, the door opens and then a knock with a voice that you grown to love. ‘YNN?’. You unlocked the door and was met with your ex, you both smile before you hug him tightly, his hand on the back of your head. ‘What happened?’ he whispers. You start to explain, he holds your hand and pulls you out of your safe space, he takes you outside and into his car before going back in to have a word with the guy. A few minutes go by and he is jogging to the car and taking off. ‘Please tell me you didn’t hit him’ you say as you look at him driving. He doesn’t say a word for a second before asking you what the hell you were thinking going out with a guy like that. He takes you home, you invite him in and you find yourself sitting on the sofa and catching for hours.

Daniel Dubois KOs Anthony Joshua in the 5th round!

Was not intimidated. The stage was not too bright. Daniel Dubois went out there and beat AJ worse than anyone else has in his pro career. Gets himself the IBF world title and the biggest breakout win of the year honestly. Dropped that man what? 5 times in as many rounds. Insane stuff.

Dubois got to work early. Went right at AJ behind his own jab and was able to get to him multiple times. Seems that in his fervor to recapture some of that early dominance, he's lost a bit of his outside game. Cause his defense was non-existant. The first knockdown came after he whiffed an overhand and then tried nonchalantly circling to Dubois' lead side. Dubois just stepped in and blasted him with an overhand. And AJ just never really recovered. He dropped AJ twice in the closing of the third and then again in the opening of the 4th. AJ managed to 'recover' grabbing on and trying to jab from the outside but Dubois did not let up on the pressure. AJ finally cracked him in the 5th round and tried to capitalize by coming forward only for Dubois to hit him with the hardest punch of the night. AJ was out.

Heavyweight finally has a young world champion again! Shouts to Dubois. He's actually growing between fights. A rarity in the heavyweight division. A+ performance.
