((I don't know if this is fanon or canon but; I really love the idea of Cybertronians bonding their sparks together after becoming conjuxes! Literally sharing a part of their souls with one another... How sweet is that? Such a deep commitment for someone you hold dear, feeling them in your soul all the time after that. I really love that concept so so much. So of course, I made it canon in my AU, hehe.))

If this is the first family dinner though, I think they would only say they're in a relationship, not conjunxes yet! After all, I can see both Bumblebee and Breakdown not wanting to go that far so soon. They both do love each other, but they've only known each other throughout the war, they could only meet once in a while, and they barely managed to spend long days together. They both aren't sure how the war changed the other either. So, while their adoration is still mutual, they would take their time and see how their relationship will develop in this time of peace! Because who knows, despite all the adoration you may feel for someone, in the end you may realise that you are just not fit to be with them in a romantic sense. And considering Cybertronians literally share their souls with one another in this AU, a huge decision that they can't un-do, they wouldn't want to jump into being conjuxes immediately.

Of course though, they do end up realising that they want each other as one another's sparkmate!! Even then however, it is kind of scary to take a big step like that, especially for Bee. I imagine that Bee would still not be used to how things are currently, kind of like Wildrider. The difference is that, Wildrider craved danger and adrenaline because that's what he was used to, peace scared him and made him uneasy; while Bee is afraid that these peaceful times will slip through his fingers if he settles too much into it, he feels as though nothing can hurt him if he just doesn't let himself sink too deep into the idea of peace.

Breakdown doesn't take it to heart and is understanding of Bee's decision. He is worried that this way of thinking may be... unhealthy. But he would rather die than force Bee to do something he doesn't want to do.

It is after the whole "Motormaster gets captured by the Quintessons and the Quintessons manage to get control of Menasor" arc that Bee realises that he doesn't want anything to happen to either of them before he can experience being Breakdown's conjunx. He was so close to losing Breakdown there, so now, he is realising that his fears were keeping him from getting the life he wants.

It is true that things may not be peaceful all the time, but if the peace does cease and there's a terrible danger again, he would rather be able to say that he experienced sharing his whole being with the person he loves anyway, than to lose them before ever getting to do that.

((How interesting would it be to bond with someone that already has a gestalt bond? Do you think the rest of the Stunticons would be able to feel Bee's presence too, even if it is faint? That's so interesting to think about!!))

and the answer is it’s a shotgun mic without the windscreen. fascinating that they even have one honestly. shotgun mics are usually used as booms, so generally higher production-value stuff than they do. maybe they bought some for the dapg return church shoot? why not just rent them though.

also this is nitpicky but holding a shotgun mic like that and having it that close to your mouth is CRAZY guys oh my god. first of all shotguns aren’t great for shooting indoors because the pickup pattern allows it to pick up reflections of sound off walls because it looks like this

so that cross section in the middle is what picks up reflections. most professional audio people swap shotgun mics for cardioid condenser mics if they’re booming inside, because as you can see in this pickup pattern catches a lot fewer reflections from the back and picks up moreof what’s broadly in front of it.

which is another reason why it’s super weird to use a shotgun mic as a handheld announcer mic, because the narrow pickup pattern of the shotgun mic means you have to keep it aimed very directly at your mouth for the best sound quality. shotgun mic audio pickup falls off CRAZY fast when it’s even slightly off-cue.

anyway that’s all to say weird choice there. not sure why they did that. their regular mics are probably cardioid so idk why they didn’t use one of those!

Yes Jon is, by any definition that makes sense considering his new form, no longer prey. He’s the most dangerous thing in the apocalypse, nothing can hurt him, not really, he’s the apex predator here. He doesn’t need to go limp and pliant in hopes of appeasing the monsters around him.

However this is Jon, so of course those tendencies aren’t completely gone. So he’s still prey, but only to Jonah, because he belongs to him still, and Jon knows it. Jon is a dangerous monster, a terror to everyone, but just this big soft creature around Jonah. Learned helplessness in monster form.

Jon rolling over and baring his neck to Jonah because he’s still the true predator between the two. That’s okay though because Jonah only hurts him in ways he likes, calls him good, gave him a way to make everything else stop hurting. If it cant make decisions, then is it really its fault?

A terrifying monster in a pretty collar, that just wants to be held and loved and told that it’s being so good. Someone else is holding the leash so this isn’t its fault. Identity sliding away until it’s just the Archive, not anything else, just here to be filled. The big thoughts are sharp with edges that catch and hurt, but the small thoughts are comforting, it’s just here to be used. It can just be empty-headed doing what feels good, whatever Jonah wants, because Jonah wants what’s best for them, right?

Is Menasor their own character in your AU, or just a combined form of the Stunties? If the former, would you mind telling us about them?

The way I was feeling sleepy and had no energy but then I had a jolt of electricity rush into my brain upon seeing this ask DFHFDH THANK YOUUU I WANT TO TALK ABOUT MENASORRR 😭💥💥💥

Menasor is their own person, yes!! I'm looking forward to drawing my design of them soon! My version of Menasor may seem be a bit... different for some people, since I didn't give them a humanoid face. But I love them so so so deeply, and wanted to make them look more unique!! ((I also use he/they for Menasor if that's ok!!))

Menasor is just as confused and kind of scared as the rest of the Stunticons when they first combine into them. And gosh I want to write that scene into a fanfiction SO badly because I just love to think about it!! Just them all combining for the first time, still being themselves but suddenly they're also something more... As their joints lock together, they feel the presence of a sixth mind, a mind that comes closer and closer until it encases all of them within itself. They feel fear but also... calm? It is so alien to them yet familiar, and as they collect themselves and sync their processors, the presence of this sixth mind becomes comforting, almost like a shield.

It is equally as confusing for Menasor to go through. There's five little voices they can hear, and while they're all new, they also feel so close and so intimate. It would take Menasor a solid minute to gather themselves together in the first combination process. They focus on the Stunticons, and then focus on their environment, and then they focus on themselves. They still can't understand who or what they are yet, but they know their name. With their newly developing sense of self, they let out a soft "I... am... Menasor", which only sounds like a threatening growl to the Autobots due to Menasor using their voice box for the first time. But it was not intended to be a threat, it was just the acknowledgement of one's being.

Unfortunately though, they do not get to discover who they are further. Menasor is always told to dismantle after every battle, and each time they are combined into again, they notice more and more disturbance in the communication between the Stunticons. Eventually, as the Stunticons grow further away from each other, Menasor's processor gets less and less coordinated. Before they can even understand who they are, they become almost like a zombie.

It is only after the Stunticons fix their issues and learn to be a family that Menasor can talk again, can think for themselves again, and be a person again. After the whole conflict with the Earth team is resolved, everyone ((except the Stunticons)) expects Menasor to be a "mindless beast" as they were dubbed in the war times, but Menasor proves to be quite the opposite. They spend their time mostly sitting down, and thinking. Trying to understand both themselves and the Stunticons that they are bound to. It's kind of like growing up and trying to heal your inner child by trying to understand your past, your present, your feelings, your personality... They only want to focus on all of that now that they're free of the war. And the Stunticons willingly stay combined for long periods of time to allow Menasor that self discovery.

((Menasor also gets along with the Terrans!! The kids are SOOO interested in him because look at him!! So cool!! Big guy!! And such a gentle giant too!! They want to get to know him! And Menasor allows them to as well! The kids kind of help Menasor in their self discovery by asking lots of questions! It's a very sweet dynamic that they have!!))

Is there any way to parse the difference between DID and something like maladaptive/immersive day dreaming?

I guess I'm kinda...questioning ish? I feel like I have a coherent sense of self but like its...blank or like clay.

I learned about Internal Family Systems Therapy a while back and reading into it really resonated with me and how I tend to talk to myself and see myself in parts. Ordinarily there is like enough of a difference between my sense of self and parts that like I can maintain myself but lately it's just kinda breaking down a bit and eroding, like sometimes "me" is just a set of behaviors I've learned to mask.

But if I lean into it far the other way and treat the parts as alters it feels so...hollow? Like they aren't that much diffrent than me. Neither outcome feels right and I worry it's just me getting immersed in my own imagination.

Whats the difference between a daydreamer that talks to themselves and somone with internal alters?

This is unfortunately a tough answer. To be honest, the only one who can fully determine if you're plural or not is you. There are certainly some people who are singlets who daydream a lot, and the same for systems as well.

We can do the "Thank you for existing test" if you manage to identify any names that pop out to you?

We relate to the "alters so much like you" sentiment. We're an OSDD median system, so it just feels like we "transform" into alters that aren't that different from the rest of us personality wise. A part of our journey with plurality has been learning to accept that we're all a bit alike, considering we have so much shared experience and memory.

One thing we will say that helps is giving yourself (or selves) an environment where you can test this out! Try out being plural around a friend or simply someone you can trust with this info, it may help you more than you'd think!

And regardless if you turn out plural or singlet, thank you for existing!!!

thinking about college-era mattkey when nobody can tell if they're actually dating, and asking feels too direct but matt almost never goes anywhere without mike and mike starts every story with matt's name and sometimes jam breaks into their apartment in the afternoons so they can crash before theater rehersals and finds them napping under a shared blanket on the couch or in matt's bed, so tangled together as to be almost indistinguishable and their fridge is a myriad of the life they've spent together with polaroids and blurry printed-out phone screenshots and movie tickets and handwritten notes in matt's messy scrawl and when matt's hair gets long, he lets mike braid it even if mike still isn't very good.

and when anne makes a joke about them acting like a married couple they share a look and mike says something about tax benefits and matt doesn't play guitar for anyone except mike and mike never goes to their favorite coffee shop without buying matt a drink too, and once they live off-campus they adopt a cat and say they're her dads, and matt's her favorite even if mike is usually the one to feed her in the evenings and they take family pictures for the holidays to send to all their friends and professors, from the walters family, and they visit each other at work when their schedules are different because they live in one another's pockets and eight hours apart feels like a lifetime and they're not even sure if this is what dating is, if they're boyfriends or something else, but they're both so flighty they'd rather keep their domesticity without having the conversation they both think about far too often.

Han has expressed interest in fashion while chan has explicitly stated in an interview that ALL members even ones that haven't gotten the chance to attend fashion shows yet are very into the idea of it and would love a chance like that. (In their vogue(?)interview for met gala)

Han shot his portion of WKorea magazine solo as did the other members from what we can tell by the behind the scenes videos so he is fully capable of doing it.

Han was a guest on lmj two years ago (his last solo schedule) and he was very happy about the opportunity. Proving he can do it. And you know something? Skz official twt account never said anything about han's appearance on that show. He was requested to be on show by stays when lmj asked which idol they wanted to see.

Han JUST performed in front of like 60k people at I-Days Milan.

Even when he went on hiatus, he never stopped performing and doing shows or schedules that you think he's not interested in or capable of doing. The only thing he took a break from afaik were fansigns. Which since then he's continued regularly. So I really hope you reconsider and see the blatant mismanagement for what it is.

Han literally makes his skz records with producers he has to approach himself because they get no company help for skz records at all, and he's always doing it with someone new. So do not tell me he will turn down doing an ost.

It's quite obvious that he's not being given the same opportunities and exposure by the management that others get to varying degrees.

Instead of thinking "Maybe he doesn't want to do it." And assuming "He can't do it because of xyz." Why don't we look at the facts I laid out: Han is talented, interested and waiting for opportunities in different areas and yet he hasn't gotten any solo ones since 2022.

Once again, find me 1 instance where han explicitly said he doesn't want to do the things others are doing before you say that he doesn't want it. Stop running defense for jype, a lot of ex jype idols have complained about it's mismanagement.

Of course I'm upset that skz are at their peak and han still gets paid dust in terms of exposure. I hate that you guys call yourself stays, but don't actually believe in han at all and are fine with no opportunities being given to him because of your preconceived notions about the capabilities of people with anxiety or mental health issues. Why does he need to prove himself every time before people support him? For the longest time people said han won't be able to manage a solo magazine shoot that's why he's not getting it. But he shot alone in WKorea for balmain and his cover version sold out multiple times from multiple stores even after multiple restocks. He performed his solo "don't say" performance in their Japanese dome tour night after night in front of thousands and he did it with ease. So just stop. If you don't care that he doesn't get anything say that and don't say that he's the reason why he isn't getting anything because han is always trying his best, and he rarely gets rewarded for it.
