#Anna pointed out that people who saw the beginning but not the end of our discussions would likely be confused
Text
Btw if anyone sees an "argument" between @rosen-dovecote and I, it's literally never an argument. We are really close friends who share a lot of similar view points about open and honest discussion, and if you ever see one of these "arguments" get cut off in the middle, it's because we took it to the DMs to continue our academic discussions. Debate is like, a fundamental part of both of our religions/spiritualities, learning and exchanging information is akin to picking up shiny rocks to give each other (but we can't do that cuz we live very far away so we settle for sharing gems of wisdom online). We're cool :)

I’m excited for the renewal of GO3 but I’m also kind of a little worried for David because he’s been performing McBeth for 6 six weeks now and rehearsals are also killer and now their set to film GO? Just thinking about this exhausts me so I can’t imagine how he would feel (and Michael also for that matter since he’s been rehearsing for his own show). Also, please please PLEASE don’t let GT and AL be in GO PLEASE
Hear, hear, and three cheers to the renewal of GO 3!
Tumblr media
All I can say is, it's about damn time we finally got this announcement. I am ineffably thrilled as well to know that we will have our boys back together in Scotland to bring us the resolution to Aziraphale and Crowley's story.
In terms of filming, I did see the press release that said GO 3 filming would begin "soon," but I think "soon" is a relative term here. David's run in Macbeth goes until early February, and then Michael is in Nye at the National Theatre from the end of February until May 11th. So "soon" likely means a good six months from now at the earliest (i.e., mid 2024). Hopefully that means both David and Michael will have time to rest up and prepare for the start of filming GO 3, but I would imagine them both feeling a sense of excitement and anxiety at their forthcoming schedules.
What I think Michael and David likely do not feel anxiety about, however, is the prospect of getting to spend more time with each other. And we know they are already seeing each other at least somewhat regularly right now, what with Michael being in London at the moment, so it stands to reason that Michael and David are going to be frequent fixtures in each other's lives and worlds for a very good portion of the next year. Lovely.
In terms of Georgia and Anna possibly being in S3, I will echo what @thereallovebug previously excellently said, which is that it is very tiring to think that we haven't even had the GO 3 announcement for a day, and already people are calling for them to be cast in the show, and it's just...can we not even fully process/absorb this news before jumping to yelling at Neil to cast people? Or maybe just skip the "yelling at Neil to cast people" part completely? I'm just confused as to why there has to be an immediate call to have them in the show when there may not even be a place for them in it.
I also keep thinking of the discussion that took place when the news about GO 2 first came out, which was that having any family member of Michael's or David's would be distracting, and we saw what ended up happening with Peter Davison and Ty. I thought Peter did very well as Job, but Ty just seemed out of place the entire time and it was like you could "see" him acting instead of just...being, and as a result, his performance did not quite gel with the rest of the scene.
The takeaway point here is that the role of Ennon could have gone to any number of aspiring young actors, talented actors looking for a shot at the big time, but who did not get to have that opportunity due to nepotism. It only makes sense, then, that the same would hold true for GT and AL. And to me, it's disrespectful to the show, to Neil, and to Michael and David at this point to act as if GO 3 is somehow "not good enough" unless GT and AL are in it. As if the thousands of other talented actors in the UK aren't good enough simply because they're not Georgia and Anna. I've been accused on multiple occasions of only disliking Georgia and AL because of who their partners are, but the fact that so many people are only fans of theirs for the same reason is apparently not a problem.
(I will not go into detail here about the myriad of reasons why people are fans of Georgia and AL's because of who their partners are, but I suggest reading this post from @artificial-indulgence, who has perfectly enumerated my own thoughts on the subject.)
It is for the reasons that are mentioned in the post I just linked to that I feel many fans are unwilling to see the reality of things, which is that Georgia is a passable actor, but Anna is not, and any halfway decent casting director is not going to overlook that. I'm thinking back to an Ask I answered yesterday about her being edited out of the photo used for the I Talk Telly Awards and (more significantly) that no one actually seemed to notice that she was missing.
Given that, it's highly unlikely that someone whose performances are so unmemorable would be cast in the third installment of a major global TV show--at least purely based on merit. And knowing how important this third season is, how it's meant to resolve Aziraphale and Crowley's story and give us what Neil and Terry envisioned so many years ago, it would be truly unfortunate to see all of that overshadowed by other things.
But yes, today was very much a day filled with good news (and which I wholeheartedly appreciated, given that I am dealing with some difficult personal issues at the moment). More thoughts to come in a follow up post, so stay tuned...

As mentioned by the wonderful @foreverinthepagesofhistory, there exists an anecdote about Tatiana Nikolaevna's wig falling off in 1913 and her running to hide from everyone out of embarrassment. This comes from the book 'Four Sisters' by Helen Rappaport:
"One day, when she was playing a skipping game in the park with Maria Rasputin and some young officers from the Corps de Pages, Alexey’s dog had run up to her barking; Tatiana got her foot caught in the rope, tripped and as she fell ‘her hair suddenly tumbled down and, to our amazement, we saw a wig drop off’, Maria recalled. Poor Tatiana ‘revealed to our eyes and those of the two embarrassed officers, the top of her head where a few short, sparse hairs were just beginning to grow’. She was absolutely mortified, and ‘with one bound she was on her feet, had picked up her wig and dashed towards the nearest clump of trees. We saw only her blushes and vexation and she did not appear again that day.’"
Rappaport references Matryona 'Maria' Rasputina's book 'Real Rasputin' here. I unfortunately cannot find this version of her memoirs anywhere online (I think she wrote about three, and 'Real Rasputin' was her first), so I sadly can't check the actual quote for any more information.
If I'm being entirely honest, I don't know how much I believe this. Neither Olga nor Maria Nikolaevna's diaries from 1913 ever mention Rasputin's children Matyrona (Maria), Dmitri, or Varvara visiting them for fun and games, though they do talk about sometimes being in their company.
'After dinner [I] played, at Papa's request, religious things [music] and everyone went to Anya's where Father Grigori's entire family was present: Paraskovia, Feod[orovna], Mitya, Matryona, and Varya... and Zhenya.' - Olga's diary, Christmas day 1916
It's also important to note that Maria believed in Anna Anderson for a time, and a common criticism for those who supported her claim was that they didn't actually know the family well at all, so she might have put this anecdote in her book to try and combat this. Knowing that Tatiana wore a wig might have added to this supposed closeness she was trying to convince readers of.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her memoirs have been questioned time and time again as to how accurate they actually are - she tries to paint her father, Grigori Rasputin, as having been framed for the downfall of tsarism, and she believes him entirely innocent of the various allegations against him. There are more inconsistencies. For example, in her memoirs she writes degradingly about Felix Yusupov (who was involved in the murder of her father), then named her two dogs 'Youssou' and 'Pov' after him... Also, the cover of her memoirs are quite funny, it reminds me of a bad film poster lol, but that is besides the point.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also, Tatiana's album has photos of her posing on the Standart and on the beach with her wig off, which might suggest she was at least a little comfortable showing her shaved head to some people, like her favourite officers. When OTMA had their heads shaved in 1917, they also posed for various photographs and found it funny, not embarrassing - but it could be argued that was because they were going through it together, rather than Tatiana being the 'odd one out'.

Personally, I also don't enjoy 'Four Sisters'. Helen Rappaport sadly put quite a few misconceptions and outright lies into her books, so her quoting from a very unreliable source doesn't surprise me sadly.
I also want to add that despite being a little harsh here about her memoirs, Maria Rasputina was a fascinating woman. She actually worked as a lion tamer in a circus for a few years, and there's a video of her doing this which you can see here. She ended up being mauled by a bear whilst working for the circus, but continued working with the company and advertising herself as the performing 'daughter of the mad monk'. She also claimed she was psychic and held seances. She needs her own book about her!

Talking to an Old Friend
Note before we begin: I don't know if Shay got buried or where she would be buried. I took creative license and said she was buried in Chicago. Here are my reasons, her parents were divorced and none lived in the town she was form St. Louis. So I figured she is buried in Chicago and I have headcanon that Kelly visits usually by himself on her birthday and anniversary of her death.
Anyway on with the Story: under the cut. I wrote it, it's long one shot and this was flowed out of me:
Kelly Severide was not a perfect person. He knew this about himself. He was moody and distant but he did have a big heart under his tough guy exterior. He saw what his mom went through, what his father put her and them through and didn’t want that for his life.
He had thought he had found a home in Renee Whaley but for reasons unknown to him and to her, she ended up cheating on him days before the wedding. Kelly Severide knows himself well and he’s never been a cheater. After Renee, did he sleep around sure. But it was never really going anywhere.
There are 4 people he did see it going somewhere past the physical stage and that was Renee Royce, Britanny Baker, Anna Turner, and now Stella Kidd.
Looking back now Kelly thought as he sat in his car upset with himself to let Renee manipulate him again, he realized Renee was another vice like his addiction. She made him not think about the consequences and she was beautiful.  She wanted him and he also knew she was moving after a few weeks of them being in their situation. Kelly hadn’t minded, it wasn’t like he was looking for a forever kind of thing. Kelly didn’t think he was cut out for forever or monogamy. Maybe that was his way of protecting himself after the first Renee.
Also, he had been in his struggle with addiction, and sometimes he thought maybe she was one of those things that he did where Shay called him out and said “I don’t know who this is Kelly but it isn’t you.”
That’s who he needed right now to talk through his feelings. He needed Shay. He hadn’t been to her grave in a while. He didn’t like going. He would go on her birthday and the anniversary of her death. Just to tell her about his life. He remembered how after he met Stella, he had wanted to tell Shay about her because even he was surprised how much this girl in a class took over his mind like that.
Kelly continued to drive to the cemetery before he got there, he stopped and got some flowers for Shay. He got to where Shay was laid to rest. The grass was maintained and there were flowers on other graves and some old ones on Shay’s but not the ones he put there. He realized that Dawson must come to put some down as well occasionally.
“Hey, Shay. I brought you some flowers even though you’d say what’s the point. They are just going to die and wilt Kelly.” He sat down in front of her grave. “I miss you so much Shay. I probably should come here more but it’s hard. I’d rather thnk of you somewhere fun. I hope it’s nice where you are. I like to think that you’ve been watching over me as cliché as that sounds. If you met Anna, I hope she’s okay too. She was my girlfriend for a little bit but she died of cancer. Her dying almost killed me like you dying almost killed me as well.” Kelly smiled a little bit “But this time I had someone to pull me out. Stella Kidd. Stella I think you would like her Shay. You both would probably gang up on me and I think I wold be okay with it if you were here with us. “
Kelly took a breath before he began again. “I don’t know what to do Shay. Stella and I were doing well and then she wanted to move out because of my past. The trugh this I didn’t want her to move out if anything I would have wanted us to move into one room but honelsty I also just want to be wherever she is. She’s staying at an apartment garage Hermann has. She gave me a key, she still has our..my apartment key to get in. But Renee showed up. She needed help with a case. And selfless kind Stella said if it was going to help I should help Renee. The case was about firefighters so they get workers compensation.”
Kelly rubbed his hand over his mouth, tears pooling in his eyes. “I met her kid, the kid that I thought was mine for like 4 months. We worked at Renee's house in the evening because she said she had meetings and wanted to be home to tuck her son into bed at night. So even though my instincts told me not to I went. He’s a sweet kid. Then she took me to the firehouse where he gave me a gift for helping him. His bed was broken, and he was going to have to sleep on the floor so since my toolbox was in my car I offered to fix his bed. Now after what happened today, I wonder if that was to entice me into something. Renee told me before I fixed his bed how bad she felt and that it was unforgivable what she did. Then in the same breath after I told her that I appreciate the apology says she wished things were different. Which is nice I guess but made me uncomfortable. I fixed her kid's bed then I went to be with Stella for the rest of the night.”
               I guess that brings me to today. Renee won her case and I congratulated her and then she kissed me. I pulled away immediately and asked her what she was doing. She said  she oulc stil feel something between us and how I acted around her kid. I mean the kid didn’t do anything wrong he was a pawn the first time around and now I feel like she was using him to get to me again.” Kelly rubbed his face and ran his hands through his hair. “I should have listened to my instincts and Stella’s instincts and told her to find someone else. After I stepped back from her kiss “I did tell her Shay, that I was not interested. That I had a girlfriend I very much cared about and that there was no reason for us to see each other again. How’d I let her do this Shay? How could she use her kid twice to manipulate me? That’s what I feel like. She manipulated me and I let her do it. I know I have to tell Stella about Renee kissing me but I 'm not sure how I told Stella it was weird seeing her but it was ancient history and for me, it is ancient history. But I don’t want to hurt Stella at all and I know that’s going to hurt her but I also know not telling her is going to not be good either..”
Kelly touched the tombstone and whispered “I wish you were here to tell me what to do. Or give me a sign of what the right thing I should do is.” There was a breeze that rushed passed him and he felt like he could feel Shay there with him and then he saw a physical leaf go over his head and followed it and it landed on the street sign. But it covered the A on the sight that would say usually Stellar Avenue with the cross street of Halstead. It was like Shay was telling him to go to Stella. Kelly stared at the street sign and realized that he’s been thinking about Stella all the time for months now. All he wanted was Stella. Because Renee was ancient history but Stella. He wanted Stella to be his future and right now Stella was his everything.

Scream 4 (2011)
Tumblr media
Hearing the name, Scream 4 makes you wonder how many times these sorts of events can happen to the same group of people. That's understandable, but this series is about more than just the characters; it’s a commentary on the horror genre. In 2011, several new trends proved themselves ripe for commentary and satire. After the disappointing third film in 2000, this is a much-appreciated return.
Following in the footsteps of fellow survivor Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox), Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) is capitalizing on the Woodsboro murders by publishing a book. The moment her book tour bring her home, a new killer emerges. This time, “Ghostface” (voiced by Roger L. Jackson) is savvy to the current rules of horror, meaning that the previously "untouchable" Sidney, Gale, and Dewey (David Arquette) are now potential victims.
Tumblr media
Scream 4 begins with an out-there view of the “Stab” franchise, the films-within-the-film that are based on the Woodsboro murders and have devolved into a generic slasher series that includes time travel, attempts to be meta, roles that were recast, productions that went ahead despite the director being a serial killer, and more choices that smell of desperation. It felt like that's where Scream 3 left us. This is why Scream 4 is both a continuation and a potential jumping-on point. Since the year 2000, movies have gotten nastier with the likes of the gore-heavy Saw and Hostel series. These original films are sandwiched between endless remakes - Writer Kevin Williamson cleverly names a dozen of them in a tense scene toward the end. He makes fun of the films he mentions by pointing out the mechanisms that make them work, but then goes the extra mile by showing us how to do it well. It helps that the familiar story beats are shrouded by the mystery: who is behind the mask, and why are they brutally murdering these people?
This fourth chapter works because of the characters. Unlike so many slasher films, we actually care about the protagonists. We like Gale and Dewey. We want them to remain together as a happy couple. We know Sidney is tough and want to see her continue to grow. The same applies to the new cast introduced. Sidney’s cousin, Jill Roberts (Emma Roberts) is a lot like our main heroine; she’s just an ordinary girl who is suddenly thrust into this horrifying ordeal because of happenstance. Charlie Walker and Robbie Mercer (Rory Culkin and Erik Knudsen) are great substitutes for the movie-obsessed Randy (who died in the second film). I’m a big fan of Kirby Reed (Hayden Panettiere), Jill’s best friend who also loves movies, and Deputy Judy Hicks (Marley Shelton), who has a not-too-subtle crush on Sheriff Dewey. Williamson said one of his main objectives was to differentiate this movie from the likes of the Saw franchise, whose audiences only care about how quickly everyone can be turned to red goo. Mission accomplished. Partially because of the actresses (among those already named, Anna Paquin, Kristen Bell, Lucy Hale and Shenae Grimes all have small roles that show off their charisma), and because we get enough time with these people to see them as real people, people you might even be friends with.
Tumblr media
If there’s a mystery killer, there’s got to be a twist ending and it’s a great one. The beginning showed us there were two killers - both disguised as Ghostface - working in unison, which actually makes it much harder to figure out who are the culprits. When Jill and Charlie take off their masks, it’s a shocker but the satisfaction goes beyond the audible gasp. As in any good whodunnit, we learn what motivated them. It’s eerily chilling and relevant to modern-day. Jill is envious of her cousin’s fame and wants to replace her by recreating the events that made Sidney famous, culminating in her death, Jill’s ex-boyfriend (Nico Tortorella) getting framed, and Charlie getting double-crossed so Jill can be the “final girl”. When some of the most famous people on the planet are successful not because they’re actually talented but because they happened to already be famous or stumble into fame, and mass murders done just for the infamy of it are very real, that motivation packs a punch. This is a smart film.
Tumblr media
If you’re a fan of the franchise, you were disappointed with the third film because the setup felt really artificial. This premise is organic and all the Scream trademarks are back: the likable characters, the compelling mystery, the dark comedy, the scares, and an insightful commentary on the horror genre. Director Wes Craven and writer Kevin Williamson legitimately had something to say and worked hard to make Scream 4 worth the wait. (On Blu-ray, May 30, 2022)

Ineffable Con 2020 Fun Facts
Tumblr media
Fun facts from the Ineffable Con 2 (2020) guest panels :):
Neil Gaiman, Douglas Mackinnon and Rob Wilkins
David G. Arnold (the music composer)
Claire Anderson (the costume designer)
Peter Anderson (Peter Anderson Studio created the opening title animation and in-show graphics)
Paul Adeyefa (Disposable Demon)
Jeremy Marshall-Roberts (the owner of Mary the Bentley)
1. Neil Gaiman, Douglas Mackinnon and Rob Wilkins
What do they have from Good Omens:
Rob has the statue from St. Beryls, all four motorbikes from the four horsemen, Crowley’s Devon watch, box signed by David Tennant with Crowley’s sunglasses and Aziraphale’s cocoa mug with Michael Sheen’s DNA :).
Douglas has the playing cards from Episode 1 and heavily annotated Good Omens book they used for filming with inscription by Neil: ‘For Douglas, make us love, make us cry, 3rd August 2017’.
Neil has Aziraphale’s chair from the bookshop that he bought from the BBC and he uses it for Zoom meetings.
What is their favourite thing that was not in the book and was added to the TV show:
Neil: all of the first half of Episode 3 - an absolute joy.
Rob: also the beginning of Episode 3.
Douglas: David Arnold’s music and Peter Anderson’s front titles.
Could Aziraphale get out of the Bastille easily if he wanted to?
Neil: if he could: absolutely. Did he have any conception of the mess he was in: probably not. It’s one of Neil’s favourite pieces of acting - the absolute delight on Aziraphale’s face when he realizes that Crowley’s there and then he turns around and rather petulantly, grumpily goes oh it’s you - that moment of joy on Aziraphale’s face when he realizes that he’s been rescued is one of Neil’s favourite things.
Neil and yoghurt starter: I had this slightly mad thing where I would explain to everybody that fans were yoghurt starter. And I said, ‘Basically you start out with yoghurt starter and you put it into your warm milk and you leave it, and the yoghurt starter goes off and turns the entire thing into yoghurt.
Neil realized that there was a cat in his house (Neil doesn’t have a cat :)). After the panel Neil said that he was going to look for the cat with a can of sardines and Douglas joked that he would find Michael Sheen in a cat costume.
What was the best and worst about making the series:
Douglas: the best - the camaraderie, getting to know the people, the cast and crew.
Rob: the best - realizing that the book could be translated to the screen and watching it happen. The worst - coming to the end of the shoot and saying goodbye to everybody.
Neil: the best - the amount of love from everybody, the worst - fighting budget battles (producers wanted gone all of the cold opening and the death of Agnes Nutter).
Did they expect that Good Omens would attract so many LBGTQ+ people and how they feel about that:
Neil: Yes, absolutely. There are definitely people out there who seem to think that I accidentally wrote a love story with all of the beats of a love story including a break-up halfway through, without somehow noticing that I’d written a love story. And I may not be the brightest candle on the candelabra, but as an author who’s been doing it for a long time, I’m very well aware of when I’m writing a love story, thank you very much. And so from my perspective I knew that the love story would be one of the driving things that would get us from the beginning to the end. And I also made a bunch of decisions about our angels and our demons in terms of casting, in terms of gender that everybody backed me up on, which I loved. You know, the idea that the archangel Michael is played by Doon [Mackichan] is something that is... or Beelzebub is Anna Maxwell Martin, whatever, there’s... it’s not like we are going: these are women, there are men, we are going: these are demons, these are angels. They... this is not a thing. And also doing something like Pollution, where you go in and go: okay  well if we were doing this in... if 1989 was now, if there were they pronouns, we probably would have done that. We didn’t think of it at the time but that’s no reason why we can’t do it now. And we did and I remember having a... not exactly a battle, but a... my very tiny skirmish with one of our execs who was very nice and very bright and was like: ‘Why are you saying they?’, and I’m like... and I... explaining, and he’s like: ‘Well I’ve never heard of that before.’, and I’m like: ‘Oh, okay, but trust me, just trust me, it’s all fine, just trust me.’
Douglas: And you know I have to say, just following on what Neil’s saying, I’ve been directing for quite a while, and I tend to notice if characters are falling in love, I tend to notice a love story happening in front of me, and I think it’s there, and everything is meant, guys, everything is meant.
Neil added: I would just say, there are some things that you do while you’re writing a script intentionally. The fact that... I wanted to do this, well, it was a thing I did that I really enjoyed doing... where whenever people accuse them of being a couple: they don’t deny it, they don’t argue, there’s no flustering on their part. They absolutely… you know, everybody… what I’m trying to say is:  yes, other people in the story are perceiving them as a couple too. And here is Uriel perceiving them as a couple, here is wonderful Dan [Starkey, playing the passerby] …and you know, you do scenes like that because that’s... you are trying to make a point here and you’re trying to make a point on how people are perceived.
Season 2, yes or no [fiends, all three of them!]:
Douglas: What’s that?
Neil: Of what?
Rob: Is it muted for me as is for everyone else?
Neil confirmed that they are going to be Funko Pops. [yay!]
2. David G. Arnold (the music composer)
He didn’t read the book before he was approached to do the music. He was asked to do it by Douglas Mackinnon he knew from the Victorian episode of Sherlock and he said yes before even knowing what it was about because he wanted to work with Douglas again.
The first piece of music he wrote for the show was the brass band doing the Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon [Episode 6, in the park before the kidnapping].
The second piece of music he wrote was the lullaby that Crowley sings to Warlock. He always liked the lullabies like in Mary Poppins so he said to Neil: Why don’t we do it like Walt Disney, but if Walt Disney was possessed by Satan? That was about 7 months before he needed to write anything again while they were shooting and it kept going round his head the whole time - the melody stuck with him and when it came to the Opening Title of the show, this became the middle bit.
The original opening title was Everyday by Buddy Holly and each episode was supposed to be closed with a different version of it: a death metal version, an angelic choir version, a carmina burana version... and he actually made all those. But he likes to find the musical identity of the show and put it in the opening titles because it’s important and it tells you: ‘This is the word you’re going to experience’, so he wrote his own opening title with the lullaby in the middle and played it to them [probably Neil and Douglas] with Buddy Holly as the backup and: Neil just turned around in his chair and said, ‘That’s Good Omens.’. From that point the instructions were with no rules, just to create whatever he wanted: the further you can go the better, the weirder and the stranger you can think the better. It’s a rare thing to be shown a world like Good Omens and be let free to run around in it.
His favourite ending title is the Queen one in Episode 1.
One of the reasons he didn’t do a theme for Crowley and a theme for Aziraphale is that the theme of the show is theirs - it’s theirs and they share it and it’s both of theirs and there is no separating in that regard.
About Aziraphale and Crowley’s relationship reflected in the music score: It’s interesting isn’t it, because the relationship changed in a way slightly frequently and majorly infrequently. It seemed right from the start that their relationship was somehow seeded and planted and had begun by the time we saw them even though they may not have realised it themselves, you know, with the pair of them on the wall, considering one is a demon in the Garden of Eden and one is an angel. They act very charitably towards each other and they act with a lot of things you might not expect. And underneath that there is a sort of sense of togetherness and support even though they both know that their paths are going to diverge and they have different responsibilities. So I always felt like, right from that moment, when the wing came up on the wall, that there was something special about their relationship. Three moments that stuck with him: in Episode 3 saving the books in the church when they completely rely on the other for survival in the way that they were very open about, one in the car outside the nightclub in 60s Soho - the Holy Water, you go too fast for me, that genuinely tearing, that there was reluctance in those words that he spoke and that sort of things as a composer is gold, it’s about making those moments more, and in the last episode in a scene they’re not event in when we see Adam and Dog in the fields and Anathema that music there which celebrates Crowley and Aziraphale’s music which is the theme of the show - their shadow has passed over everyone’s emotional journey, and everyone’s emotional journey is theirs as well. The argument in the bandstand was important as well.
His favourite leitmotif from the series is the lullaby.
About the scene in the car in episode 2 when Thomas Tallis changes into Queen: Terry’s favourite piece of classical music was the Thomas Tallis piece [Spem in Alium] so Neil asked if they can go from Thomas Tallis - a choral piece from 16th century - to We Will Rock You, and: ‘You never say no. You don’t say that you can’t do it. What you have to do is to be the first person who solves the problem.’ In the end it was a two-days work just for this little bit and he mentioned that he never had these sorts of challenges anywhere else before.
His favourite non-musical detail in the show - the crucifixion, how the scene was shot, how it was upsetting, and how it was made more effective by Aziraphale and Crowley’s inability to stop it, that they had to observe and watch it, that it had to happen. I remember seeing that at the time and thinking, I wasn’t expecting that level of brutal honesty, in terms of the pictures that I was looking at and what they chose to show. And I think all the more effective for it.
3. Claire Anderson (the costume designer)
When creating the costumes for the characters she started with mood boards.
Aziraphale - she knew that he needed to have something winglike in his collar so that’s why there are sweeping lapels very often. Using velvet [for the waistcoat] because that was nice and soft and had all the appropriate qualities. His watch and fob that has little gold wings hanging from it and other tiny bits of symbolism. Tartan bow tie. Beautiful cashmere checkered trousers - not quite tartan but a nod to it. A mid to late Victorian coat, Michael only made his decision on the coat a couple of days before the filming. Aziraphale in the present settled on a ring with angelic symbol and harp cufflinks, earlier his ring in ancient times has got a much more roughly hewn set of wings on it, so before jewellery making became sophisticated he modernised slightly - he magicked it up to be a bit more modern, more gentleman signet type of ring, but he never modernises entirely. His heart is much more in the past.
After they began to define Aziraphale they started to look at how the Heaven army of angels might look - the element of tartan came sort of from Aziraphale and the angels have a not-tartan kilt with a semi military type jacket and a military band across that might hold arms or not, because they are not really violent. She used spats to make them look quite neutral and genderless so hiding fastenings and concealing little details like that seemed a way to do that.
Gabriel doesn’t wear spats because he’s on Earth such a lot. His shoe has a cover with two buckles on the side giving the same neutral element. He wears a cashmere light-as-air suit.
The other angels are all in bastardized versions of what era they may have died in, so they could have died in the 1930s or the 1800s and the costume would have an element of that era about it - though of course as an angel you can change things.
The Quartermaster Angel - the costume is a combination of slightly Indian type military, maharaja pants, longer spats from another era, all combined pieces of military tailored to be magical and slightly nonsensical, as Heaven might be.
Crowley - she felt that he wrapped around like a snake sheds its skin so she wanted something double breasted because that seemed to envelope his snakey charm. David wanted to be more casual than wearing a suit. Under his collar he always has a flash of red like the snake that he comes from - the red belly. They put a red seam into the sole of his boots so always there is a hint of where he came from. The red tie in the blitz. He was more rock and roll than Aziraphale and modernised more to a snakehipped rock and roll star really. His present jacket - the fabric there is quilted, they found an 80s jacket that had elements of things they enjoyed - part of that was that it had a slightly quilted quality to the fabric which was like a textured snakeskin. It took quite a long time to create the fabric and then to make the jacket from that - they quilted some fabric and washed and whooshed it repeatedly to create a bit of puckering in it. He has a snakey scarf around his neck like a chain mail linked scales of skin scarf that he wore that complemented his neck chain. The trousers he wore in Victorian times are the same he wore in the 60s when he meets young Shadwell. His present trousers - slightly waxy denim - we just were looking for a slithery finish. Crowley’s neck chain - there is only one in the world - her tailor has a Gothic church full of interesting stuff like busts and drapes with old things, this chain mail scarf was there and David was looking for something to complete his costume and liked it.
Hastur and Ligur are her favourite characters - they were so enjoyable to create. She had an amazing book of 1920s and 30s criminals and they used that as a starting point, because they were all quite worn out and bedraggled and poverty stricken and like hell might be ideally. They burnt and decayed the bottom of them as if they were rotting from the Earth and rotting back into the ground - all demons have sort of gators as if they were rotting from the ground up.
One of the most difficult things was the demons - when they realized they had a few days to create hundreds of demons in South Africa (4-5 days for almost 200 demons). It was as if I had been dissolved in holy water when they asked me for another 150 costumes.
The sleeves of Anathema’s coat have been inspired by a Victorian cycling coat.
The historical costume that Newt’s ancestor wore influenced his and Shadwell’s costumes - they used elements of the historical costume to put a little cape on Newt and Shadwell and their wax coats to give them the quality of that look. Newt's costume has a lot of mustard to make him feel a bit awkward and uncomfortable - it's not the most flattering colour on a northern European complexion.
The nuns’ headdress needed to look a little bit demonic - she bought a whole book on nuns’ headdresses for research. They also used the V in the nurse's apron because that was nicely demonic. The nurses' watch has got this Satanic symbol at the top - a little take on the medical since old nurses’ uniforms used to have watches.
For Madame Tracy she went back into the 70s, slightly Biba-esque makeup and a cape. They had only one pair of her goggles so it was always a nightmare to find them.
Which part of the cold opening is her favourite: I love ancient Rome because there is at least 6 to 12 metre of fabric in a toga and that was quite fun wrapping that around the boys and creating those., and her favourite was the Globe.
The lapels represent wings in every way and every shape and every form. Wings are very important.
4. Peter Anderson (Peter Anderson Studio created the opening title animation and in-show graphics)
The first thing that the director Douglas Mackinnon (with whom he worked on Doctor Who and Sherlock) said to him was: for all the graphics, for all the title sequence, for everything, I want you to promise me one thing, and that is very, very simple, promise that you send me emails that say: ‘this might be absolutely nuts, but my idea is...’.
The opening title it’s full of easter eggs - it’s a type of sequence that’s been designed to watch a thousand times, for example: on the escalator down to Hell there is one character running up deciding that he doesn’t want to go to Hell or the sea is full of plastic bags because we don’t look after the planet.
Every single face in the title sequence is either Crowley’s or Azriphale’s, they are repeated all the way through - inspired by Neil saying that there’s good and evil in all of us, so there is a grand procession of people of all the characters from the story - marching towards Armageddon - but all the characters have been taken over by good or evil. And along the way our two heroes are kind of playing tricks on each other, doing good, doing evil
The opening title combines multiple elements - two dimensional animation elements, three dimensional animation elements, CGI and live action (the people in the procession were created by live action on a travelator). So the result is a kind of strangeness - such as 3D figures with 2D animated tracked heads - which makes it unique.
Their first idea and version of the opening title was based on tapestries of old, subverting them, but then they wanted something more new and fresh.
Both Douglas and Neil were an important part of the opening title creation process.
The opening title sequence took about a year to make from the creative start with four intensive months towards the end.
One of things that inspired him was a Bauhaus theatre image from 1930s.
Question if the hand-drawn font for the graphics will be a purchasable font: no, because it was original and it’s unique and it was created just for this - it was for the love of the show and the story and it will be kept there.
In the scene where there are three photos of witchfinders - Neil and Douglas revealed in the DVD commentaries that two of them are their grandfathers - the third one is Peter’s great uncle.
Originally the signs telling us things like ‘Thursday’ or ‘Mesopotamia’ - were done as if somebody (who was living inside the television screen) ran up close to the screen and showed us the sign. In the end they simplified it, only showing the signs. The one time that it was sort of left in the show was when in Episode 5 a little demon in the video game shows a sign ‘GAME OVER’.
Outside of his work on it, what was his favourite thing on Good Omens: spending time with Douglas and Neil, and also working with Milk VFX - I think I can honestly say it's the best job I've ever worked on with the nicest people.
5. Paul Adeyefa (Disposable Demon)
He first read the book when preparing for the audition - the character wasn’t in the book but he got into it, loved it and couldn’t put it down.
He didn’t know about the name Eric until the script was published and people started calling the demon that, he really likes the name and thinks it fits.
There was a version of the script where the demon was going to be dressed in different costumes each time he was discorporated (for example one in long hair wearing a dress) - they would be all the same but different incarnations, in one version they had different accents.
The first scene he shot was the one where the demon goes to Heaven to deliver the Hellfire (and also wants to hit ‘Aziraphale’ which was cut). That first day was also his favourite moment of shooting because there was an immediate welcoming atmosphere and everyone was lovely and in love with the production.
Disposable Demon is like a permanent intern, running errands for the higher ups in Hell.
His favourite part of the costume were the eyelashes (though he loved the whole costume).
If he could change anything about the costume he would also want cool contact lenses - some brightly coloured ones.
Question what animal (like other demons have on their heads) comes to mind when we see the Disposable Demon: he didn’t think about it at the time, but later he saw people talking about his horns as bunny ears and found it interesting, and also the facts that there are so many of him and that he is quite happy and friendly for a demon so the bunny makes sense, so he might be a sort of a rabbit. Or perhaps something goat type because of the horns.
Question if there is another role in Good Omens he would have liked to have played: he always thought that the four horsemen were very cool and Pollution was his favourite so probably Pollution (also was the most jealous of Pollution’s contact lenses).
If there were a season 2, he would be there in a heartbeat.
Question about Eric’s feelings on Crowley, if he’s a bit of a Crowley fan: I think he might be. There is something about Crowley and how he is somehow a little bit different from the rest of the demons. - and the Disposable Demon has, much like Crowley, interest in the human world. He could well be 6,000 how many years old, the same as everyone else, but he seems to have this younger vibe and I think he thinks that Crowley is quite cool.
Good Omens fandom is his first experience with a fandom of this scale. It speaks a lot, the fact that this kind of very, this minor character, a character who is only on screen for a very short amount of time gets any kind of attention at all, it's quite amazing really, it goes to show how big and enthusiastic the fans are. I never experienced anything like that.
6. Jeremy Marshall-Roberts (the owner of Mary the Bentley)
When Crowley used a miracle to switch off the Bentley lights in Episode 1 at nuns manor it was done by: there was actually a very small guy called Louis turning on and off the switches quickly.
David Tennant was allowed to wear the snake eye contacts for only 3 hours a day otherwise they could damage his eyesight.
For Mary, the Bentley, it was the second time she was ‘blown up’ on film - first being in the Endeavour with Inspector Morse about three years earlier.
He was a bit nervous during filming the bookshop fire scene because the Bentley was so close to a real fire - not wanting the paint to blister. The car was moved off after a few minutes of filming but still.
About the damage to Mary: Unfortunately, we overran, and Rob my stunt driver had already booked a holiday and off he went and so when he returned in January, on the 10th of January, I had this new driver who really had no clue how to drive old cars, so I showed him around, I showed him to go around corners. He came around the corner, the door was not closed properly for some reason and the door flew open as he went around. And instead of slamming on the brakes which is extremely efficient and would stop him straight away he kept on going, hit another car and really smashed the door quite badly. It did take the car off the roads for 10 months. The door was completely remade because of this accident and it cost the total of  £24 000 to rebuild the car to get it back to running as it is today.
The Bentley’s part most difficult to maintain and service is the engine.
Would Mary be available for a potential season 2: definitely!

The great hall slowly filled up as the citizens streamed in and talked to each other. The mood was still good, although some wondered why more guards were present this time.
Anna and Elsa stood somewhat nervously in the hallway at the end of the throne room, waiting for Kai to tell them that all the citizens who wanted an audience were now present. He stood on the dais next to the queen's high-backed chair, calmly waiting and watching, with his gloved hands crossed in front of him.
The hall was more crowded than usual, but Kai showed his serene, stoic mien as usual, and one could not see his emotions. He knew, of course, from his experience, what was to come today and that the queen and her sister would have to report on the latest events. The only question was how the citizens would take it.
At some point, no more people arrived and the two guards at the entrance of the great hall closed the two high doors. That was the signal for Kai and he now went out to let the highnesses know. He didn't need to say anything, he just gave them a quick nod. Anna and Elsa looked at each other meaningfully and took a deep breath before entering the hall and stepping onto the platform. Anna sat down while Elsa and Kai took up positions on either side of her. Kai pulled out his notepad and a stylus to jot down anything important.
Silence fell in the room, then Anna stood up and greeted everyone present.
“Welcome everyone to our weekly citizens' day here at the castle. I see there are quite a few more citizens present today than I expected, so I probably won't have time to listen to everyone here. But please don't let that stop you from presenting your concerns to Kai at the end. He will, as always, pass on anything important to me. Very well, then, let us begin.”
Anna sat down again and asked the first citizen to join her, who first bowed deeply to her and recited the usual greeting before presenting his problem. Anna and Elsa listened attentively and Kai diligently took notes. Sometimes the case was solved quickly and Anna could make a decision or settle an argument immediately, still a few things had to be postponed because the solution required more effort or involved costs.
This continued for the next hour until Anna finally stood up and made the now inevitable announcement of important news to share. She glanced quickly at Elsa and received back an imperceptible nod and an encouraging little smile.
Anna took a big breath and addressed her subjects. “I’m aware some of you still have inquiries that require my attention. However, I must end our daily audience at this point to attend to an urgent matter that demands the attention of all of us.” Anna let a few moments pass before she had everyone's full attention, then nodded and went on, “I suspect many of you are not only here at the great hall to express your daily troubles to your Queen but to see results. This includes that you want to know about the new findings regarding the article in last Sunday's Castle Newspaper and saw our speech in the castle courtyard.” Elsa then took a step forward, at her side. “On that day, we promised a clarification within two days. I would now like to keep our promise and report on the latest events.”
After these words, an evident tension could already be sensed among the public and quiet murmurs started here and there.
Then Anna started to tell from the beginning, alternating from time to time with her sister, who mainly took part concerning the Northuldra and announced the presence of some of them here in Arendelle. She simply knew them better than Anna, due to her extended stay there. But the calm lasted shortly, when was mentioned the casualty of the Royal Guard, the audience immediately demanded the name of the responsible. From there, tension among the present rose up and almost made people be in terror when they heard that it was not only a single man but even about one hundred.
Loud questions echoed through the throne room, worries and fears were expressed, but unfortunately also voices directed against the Northuldra. The sisters had every effort to prevent an uproar and Elsa emphasized again and again explicitly that peace reigned between the peoples and that these foreign men had a completely different origin.
Anna and Elsa declared Kolgrimr as the main responsible for the violent incident several times and assured their subjects that he would face justice and his crimes would be punished. Furthermore, the Royal Council soon would make new essential decisions regarding this matter.
It took over an hour for all the questions to be answered as far as possible and for the agitated mood to settle down to some extent. In the end, Anna announced the end of the citizens' day and dismissed all those present. While the sisters withdrew, the hall slowly emptied and only Kai stayed behind to note down possible further concerns that had nothing to do with the current situation.
The sisters stood on the balcony a short time later and watched the people stream back into the town. Scraps of words drifted up, revolving around only one thing, this new threat. They looked at each other rather wearily and Anna put her hand on Elsa's shoulder.
“Thank you, sis! I probably couldn't have done this without you.”
“I'm here for you as much as you need me. We can do this together.”
Anna hugged her and they stood like that for a while, then she said, “Now I need a sip of red wine. Will you join me for a glass?”
Elsa nodded and they both went inside. Anna poured two glasses and then they sat down at the long table and pondered while sipping the wine.
~~~
Despite the discovery and capture of the spy, the Natturas and the three other Northuldra were in quite a good mood. It would be a little while before Yelana returned, so Honeymaren and Ryder showed the others the town. There were not many people around, because most of them were now in the castle and so they had a lot of space for their explorations, were undisturbed and did not attract so much attention.
They made a tour through the streets and alleys, looked at the stores and shop windows and wondered what was offered here so everything. Linnea noticed a strange metal structure in the middle of the street at one point and everyone wondered what it was all about. One of the few citizens nearby had watched them curiously and then laughed. He explained to them that it was a well used to bring water up from the depths. He showed them how to operate it and they were fascinated when suddenly clear water gushed from the tap.
It was great fun for all of them as they took turns trying it out and pumping it themselves. One after another, everyone held their hands in the water jet and refreshed themselves, drank or splashed water on each other's faces like little children. They laughed and showed their joy about it without any shame. A few passers-by grinned as they walked by or stopped to watch, especially a couple of parents with their young children who had just picked them up from school.
But Honeymaren, unfortunately, also caught one of the mothers raising her finger and saying to her son, “... but you don't copy something like that behaviour, you hear? These are Northuldra, they don't know wells.”
Honeymaren made sure to put an end to the fun and told everyone about the little incident. They were more or less dismayed and decided, each to his own, that it was probably better to stop acting so conspicuous in public. Ryder, however, still had a big grin on his face and his hair was still dripping with wetness. So it didn't take long for the good mood to return as they walked on.
Finally, they arrived at the marketplace in front of the harbor and decided to try some of the delicacies for sale at the stalls. Honeymaren paid, since she now had Yelana's purse with her. They were especially taken with the small chocolate pralines from a confectioner. He was delighted that they liked it so much and packed them a small bag full for the road.
As they walked on, a large white cloth blew across the square, directly toward Honeymaren. It wrapped itself around her face and upper body when she tried to catch it due to the fierce wind. She had to laugh and free herself from it with the help of the others. She looked around and noticed a tall, rather obese guy in strangely colorful clothing not far from them waving at her. She motioned the others to follow her to find out what he wanted.
“Thanks for picking up the tablecloth,” the shopkeeper said, “My name is Oaken and I sell coffee here, ja? Unfortunately, with the wind so close to the harbor, the blanket won't hold on the table and I'm tinkering with a new invention of mine.”
He took the blanket from her and put some metal balls on thin strings on it. Then he sat down again and knotted one ball at a time to the four corners of the blanket and spread them out. The weight now held the tablecloth securely in place and he clapped his hands, grinning with delight.
“May I offer you some coffee, perhaps?” he asked, and she frowned questioningly.
But after a moment, she agreed. So why not try something new; she thought to herself.
She sat down and invited the others to do the same. But since there were only six seats, Oaken's only two tables were now completely occupied. When he returned with a full cup for her and saw the others sitting there, he frowned in amazement.
“I didn't expect so many guests at once now. You all want coffee too, ja?” he asked as he set the drink down in front of Honeymaren.
They all looked at each other and sniffed the cup from which it was steaming. In the end, Linnea, Myrtha, and Ikka ordered and tasted the black drink as well and were quite fond of it along with Honeymaren. They asked what it was made from and Oaken enthusiastically showed them the coffee beans and readily gave information about the origin and preparation. Honeymaren, meanwhile, played with one of the balls of his invention and felt its weight. Then, suddenly, a crazy thought popped into her head.
“Oaken, do you happen to have one of these spheres and a longer piece of rope on it left for me? I'd like to try something.”
“Sure thing. Wait, I'll get it for you from inside.”
When she had it in her hands a moment later, she stood up with it and checked the connection between the rope and the ball. It seemed tight enough and she nodded with satisfaction. She made a loop and let the sphere spin around in a circle at her side while holding the end of the rope tightly in her other hand. She slowly gave the weight on it a little more slack and eventually let it fly away. It hit a lamppost a few meters away with a loud bang.
A few people turned around startled, but saw nothing noticeable. Oaken was clearly surprised by Honeymaren's aim and that his invention could be used for something completely different.
“What is this supposed to be? A new kind of toy perhaps, ja? You're quite good at it,” Oaken called out to her.
“It was just a test, I had this crazy idea. Can I keep it, Oaken?”
Oaken wondered how much money he could charge for it, but then waved it off with a smile. “Yeah, sure. You keep it.”
After she paid for everyone's coffee, they headed back toward the castle, just past the harbor. Honeymaren pondered, for her idea wouldn't let her go, and in principle it worked, just not for the purpose she had actually planned. She would need a good blacksmith for that.
“Guys, you go ahead. I have something to do and I'll join you later,” she called to the others, who were already a little ahead.
Her friends initially wondered a bit, but then waved her off with a 'see you later'.
Then she turned around and tried to find again the place where she had heard the typical sound of a hammer hitting an anvil during her long walk some time ago. She finally had to ask her way, but had indeed already been in the vicinity. Shortly after, she was standing in a narrow side alley in front of a low building with a smoking chimney.
youtube
She slid open the wooden door and entered. Inside, it was a bit gloomy and the smell of coal and metal hit her nose. Someone was heating up the forge. It was a dark-haired woman, dressed in leather pants, a thick apron of the same material and muscular bare upper arms. Honeymaren admired the movement of her muscles as she operated the large bellows with the long lever on it.
The woman must have sensed the visitor at her back, for she turned to Honeymaren, blowing a lock of dark hair from her soot-smeared face. She was pretty; Honeymaren thought so and stared at her wordlessly.
“How can I help?” she asked, not stopping in her activity.
“I ... I want to have a special weapon forged, at least I hope my idea can be used as such.”
“Sure, come closer and explain,” the blacksmith said, focusing again on the forge, where the coals were already almost all glowing orange.
A sword blank lay on one of two anvils to her left, and other weapons and swords hung lined up in special holders on the wall a little farther back. Honeymaren realized abruptly that she could have found no one better for this task than this woman here.
At that moment, another woman came in from an adjoining room. She was dressed the same way and looked almost a little like the other woman with her even curlier dark hair. She greeted briefly and then looked for something in some old wooden boxes on the floor nearby.
Honeymaren stepped closer, took the metal ball with the rope on it from her belt and began to explain what exactly she wanted. The blacksmith raised her eyebrows in amazement.
“I've never heard of such a weapon. Where did you get this idea and how do you plan to use it?”
“I just came up with that a little while ago. I can demonstrate it and I hope that it works again like earlier.”
She picked a target in the near vicinity, a metal can on a table, and let the sphere spin next to her. Then she released the grip on the rope and not a second later the can bounced backwards with a small bang as it hit it. A few horseshoe nails that were in it rolled across the floor. Then she retrieved the sphere with the rope and reeled it in.
“That's the principle. Only the metal would have to be very pointed, and round in the back, and a little heavier overall, too,” she explained.
The woman looked at her impressed, “That was a pretty good performance, and now I see what you're getting at now. It's not a problem at all. Can I take a look?”
After a closer examination, she nodded slowly and now the other woman, curious, joined her and took it in hand as well.
“Very interesting idea, only the rope on it is of poor quality. It will snap sooner or later. But we happen to have a piece of good rope here, it is also a bit thicker and should fit better in the hand,” she finally said.
Honeymaren was pleased and asked how long it would take.
“Tuva is the better smith of the two of us. How long do you think it will take you, honey? An hour, perhaps?” asked the woman at the forge. “The color of the embers will be perfect soon, too.”
“I think that's a very good estimate, Ava, darling.” replied Tuva, as she weighed the weight of the sphere in her hand, examining it.
When Honeymaren realized that the two women were a couple, her mouth fell open in amazement and she looked back and forth between them.
“You two ... you ... you're a couple?” she asked curiously, receiving a bright laugh back from both of them.
“Indeed, and we're even married,” Ava said, showing off the ring on her hand and giving Tuva a smacking kiss on her soot-blackened cheek. Then they both looked a little closer at Honeymaren and smirked.
Honeymaren had to smile broadly, but was speechless at the moment to meet two women who thought and felt like her here in Arendelle.
“So you too ...,” Tuva guessed, correctly interpreting Honeymaren's looks.
The three women looked at each other knowingly and smiled towards them. Then Tuva gave herself a jolt and said, “Well, I'd better start turning your idea into a real weapon.” She clapped her hands, grabbed a suitable piece of metal from the box in front of her, and waved it at Honeymaren with a grin.
Then she grabbed it with a pair of pliers and shoved it deep into the embers of the forge. Ava now did the same with the waiting and already half-worked sword blank and operated the bellows.
“Why don't you grab a stool from over there, ... what's your name anyway?” she said.
“My name is Honeymaren.”
“That's a very nice name,” Tuva said smiling.
~~~
By Honeymaren's estimate, about an hour had now passed and her ears were ringing a bit from the loud hammering on two anvils at once. She could have waited outside, but decided to watch the two women at work. She was fascinated by the power and skill with which the two hurled the blacksmith's hammers at their workpiece, sending sparks flying.
While the metal in the forge came up to temperature again, they had some time to talk. Honeymaren learned how the Diaz couple met, fell in love and eventually married.
“And what drives a Northuldra like you to Arendelle?” asked Ava.
“I was on the run ...,” Honeymaren began, telling them of her imprisonment, liberation by her brave brother, and finally the violent death of her father, Halvard.
“You want revenge, don't you?” surmised Tuva.
“If it is possible for me, yes. But at least I can try to put a stop to Kolgrimr. I don't know how yet, but I need something better than a fighting staff, a weapon I can use at a distance and have at my immediate disposal again.”
“That sounds very dangerous, Honeymaren,” Tuva noted with concern, “You're all alone against how many men?”
“I know, but I just have to do something and try and I already have something of a plan,” Honeymaren sighed and the two women in front of her looked at her sadly.
“I guess we can't stop you, can we?” said Ava and Honeymaren shook her head slowly but firmly.
“Very well then, I will make a special effort to match your new weapon exactly to you,” Tuva said and continued with her work.
Eventually the time came, and after Tuva had balanced the weight of the workpiece with the help of a scale and Honeymaren's help with the counterweight, the new weapon landed hissing in a bucket of water to harden.
“If you want, I'll polish it to a high gloss for you,” Tuva asked at the end, but Honeymaren replied in the negative.
“I don't want to carry anything shiny that can be easily seen at a distance,” she said.
Once the rope was attached, it was time for a final test. She chose one of the two wooden support beams in the big room as her target. She let the heavy spike whirl around at her side and then let it fly. It hit the beam at the edge and stuck, bending a wide sliver of wood outward. She then pulled hard on the rope and caught the metal in mid-air just in front of her head, while half-twisting away in the process. It had worked, but was not entirely safe for herself.
“I guess I'll have to practice some more, but that's exactly how I imagined it,” Honeymaren said with satisfaction, while the two women clapped their hands in admiration. “Thank you so much, both of you! What do I owe you in return?”
“Nothing, Honeymaren! It was my pleasure to help you and an honor as well. But please promise us you'll take care of yourself, won't you? Be careful and return to us in Arendelle someday, or have someone let us know you're okay,” Tuva said.
Honeymaren nodded with a tear in her eye and then the three women embraced for a long, intimate moment.
“I have to go now, Tuva and Ava. It was really nice to have met you and I promise to be careful. Thank you so much!”
As Honeymaren finally stepped outside, she waved to them once more before sliding the large wooden door shut again and making her way to the castle.
~~~
Kristoff had listened to the five Northuldra experiences during their day in the city once they had returned to the castle, less than an hour ago. Only Yelana and Honeymaren were missing when he offered to give them a tour of and around the castle. This included the stables and, once approved by the captain, even the large watchtower in the northwest corner. Kristoff enjoyed being with Ryder as he explained everything to them.
While they were all very impressed, especially with the old paintings in the gallery, Kristoff didn't count on was their great interest in the large kitchen. As soon as they found out that it was Olina who had prepared the Renkok dish for them, they all thanked her profusely and talked for a long time about cooking and the different ways of preparing food among their peoples.
At the end they tried Olina's famous chocolate pralines and had to admit that they were even much better than the ones from the market.
When they were back upstairs, Yelana and Honeymaren approached them.
“We've been looking for you guys,” Honeymaren called out. “Yelana has found the other Northuldra. They are now warned as well.”
“They didn't take it very well and some of them wanted to go back to their family right away. It took me some time to convince them that they wouldn't get anywhere with it, probably quite the opposite,” Yelana added.
“By the way, have any of you seen Mattias?” asked Honeymaren, receiving astonished looks back.
“I think he's with Captain Einar right now, back in the main guardroom near the big tower. He had hinted at something when I spoke to him briefly,” Kristoff replied, “Why?”
“Oh nothing in particular, I just wanted to ask him something,” she said enigmatically and Kristoff shrugged it off.
The castle staff around them had become a bit busier and someone of them let them know that it was soon time for dinner. While everyone made their way up the stairs, chatting as they went, Honeymaren turned, unnoticed by the others, and went outside to look for Mattias.
She let a guardsman lead her to him and Captain Einar. When she entered the guardroom, they both stood up and the first thing they did was thank her for discovering the spy.
“We were just deciding which of us would inform the queen and which would interrogate the prisoner,” Mattias said. “We've only just found out, too.”
“I would like to be present at the interrogation, and I would also like to talk to you privately about what is involved, Mattias,” she replied.
“Well, then, it is settled,” he replied, “I agree to it, for we both seem to know Northuldra questions best.”
While Captain Einar went off to the castle they both made their way to the harbor.
“What do you want to ask me, Honeymaren?” he asked her on the castle bridge.
youtube
Honeymaren was visibly nervous as she answered. “Kolgrimr is up to something, and it is here in Arendelle, as evidenced by the presence of this informer. I want to learn his plans by secretly observing his men and eavesdropping on them. But to do that I must go back, near the camp.”
“What? That is far too dangerous, Honeymaren. He's already captured you once, and this time he'll have no mercy on you.”
“He'll be too busy trying to control all those men. I suspect he has kept his abilities from them. If he realizes I'm around he probably can't do anything about me without giving himself away at the same time.”
“You have no way of knowing that, and you don't even know why they're helping him in the first place.”
“I will take care of myself and turn back immediately if I am wrong. Besides, I'll do my reconnaissance rounds after dusk, and they won't see me coming. Moreover, I know every little nook and cranny in the area. I know what I'm doing, Mattias. I'll be hiding most of the time and constantly changing my location.”
Mattias shook his head, but also admired her for her great courage.
“I trust you, Mattias, and I don't want you to tell anyone anything until I'm on my way. I also need a few more things for my plan.”
“All right, I will help you. But maybe the spy will tell us what we need to know, then you won't have to put yourself in danger in the first place.”
~~~
Captain Einar had learned from Kai where the majesties were staying and now knocked on Anna's study. Hearing a 'Come in' from inside, he entered and bowed.
“Your Majesty, Your Royal Highness, I apologize for disturbing you so shortly before dinner, but there has been an incident that will not tolerate delay.”
“What has happened, Captain Einar? Not something to do with our guests, surely?” asked Anna anxiously, standing up.
“No, don't worry, Your Majesty, although the Northuldra were involved. To be precise, it was Honeymaren.”
Now Elsa also stood up and looked at him with her eyebrows drawn together. “What did she do?” she asked.
“She unmasked a spy who was in the process of scouting Arendelle.”
“What?” exclaimed Anna and Elsa simultaneously.
“Please sit down and tell us everything that happened and how it occurred.” said Anna, pointing to one of the two free chairs in front of her desk.
Einar thanked her and described all the events he was aware of as all three of them took their seats.
“Currently, the prisoner is in the brig on the ARN Sunflower. On the advice of Yelana, he wasn't led around the castle grounds tethered, for safety's sake, while so many townspeople were there because of the Citizens' Day. After all, he was wearing Northuldra clothing.”
“Very prescient of Yelana!” noted Elsa, nodding appreciatively.
“Has he been interrogated yet?” asked Anna.
“Not yet, but General Mattias and Honeymaren are on their way there right now,” Einar opened, “Based on the experience of both of them, I think this is probably the best choice as well.”
The two sisters just looked at each other ponderingly for a while, then Anna spoke again.
“Thank you very much, captain. Please keep us informed of any new developments and send them both to me as soon as they return.”
“Of course, Your Majesty,” he said, taking the last remark as permission to leave again. He rose, bowed briefly to the sisters, and left the study again.
He no longer noticed how a heated discussion developed between the two of them about what to do now and what possible consequences resulted from the incident.
~~~
Mattias and Honeymaren, accompanied by the boatswain, who carried a lantern, were led below deck by Captain Holmstein. The brig was a barred, dark crate deep in the belly of the ship. As they all stepped closer with the lantern, they recognized the spy sitting in a corner with his head hanging, not even looking up curiously as the light shone on him.
“Hey, wake up, prisoner! You've got a visitor,” the boatswain shouted, banging his fist against the metal grate a few times with a clang.
The spy leisurely raised his head and looked at them. When he noticed Honeymaren, a hint of anger appeared on his face. He crossed his arms demonstratively in front of him, but remained seated. His gaze was fixed darkly on the young Northuldra.
The captain ordered his boatswain to open the cell and wait in front of it warily as they entered.
“We know you are one of Kolgrimr's men. Where are you from and what are you doing here in Arendelle. What is Kolgrimr up to? Speak!” Mattias roared at him in his deep, powerful voice, building up threateningly in front of him.
The prisoner looked up and just grinned. This arrogance was too much for Honeymaren and she stepped past the general. She grabbed the spy by the collar, yanked him up and slammed him against the ship's hull behind him with all her strength. None of those present had expected her emotional outburst and Mattias had to separate them, while the prisoner looked first surprised and then all the more closed. He pressed his mouth together and stared at her.
“You are holding my people captive. Why? What are you and Kolgrimr planning here in the town? Speak up!” she shouted at him.
“So now you're even giving orders here? What these people offered you in return betray your own people? You won't get a word from me, traitor.”
Honeymaren's mouth fell open in astonishment. Traitor? What had Kolgrimr made them know, and what was he holding them in? There was more to it than that; she thought to herself. The captain and Mattias looked at each other and wondered as well.
Honeymaren reassured the general with a gesture and he let her go again. She considered and then looked the spy in the eye.
“You seem to believe everything Kolgrimr lies to you, don't you? Did you actually know that he has the ability to read minds and track down anyone no matter where they are, that he can manipulate anyone as he pleases with his powers?” she said quietly and forcefully.
Honeymaren hoped for a prisoner reaction, and she was correct in her guts. She recognized an apparent surprise on the man's face before her, it lasted only a brief moment but was very evident. A second later, he hid his feelings again and looked at her with arrogance and despise. That was quite enough for her, she now had confirmation of her suspicions and that made her plans that much easier.
Honeymaren nodded half-satisfied and left the cell again. She left the further interrogation to more experienced and patient men. The other two followed her and the boatswain locked the cell door. When they were on deck she murmured to Mattias, “You saw his surprise too, didn't you?” Mattias nodded. “I was right.”
“What do we do with him? Use a little old-fashioned interrogation tactics?” the captain asked.
“Leave that to me, Captain Holmstein. Take him by dinghy to the courier entrance of the castle tonight. I'll have him locked in the dungeon. No offense to your leadership authority over the ship's crew, Holmstein, but his staying here on the Sunflower is too risky for me if there is an attack on Arendelle. Who knows what might happen to him then out of a desire for revenge. We need him alive,” Mattias stated.
~~~
“So, what else do you need for your dangerous journey? You said you needed a few more things,” Mattias asked her when they were back and standing in front of the castle's crew quarters.
“First of all, a sturdy shoulder bag or something comparable. Sturdy but not too thick rope, a leather water hose and some rations, maybe dried meat,” she said, thinking.
“Have you thought about flint and tinder?” he asked, and she shook her head. “Maybe fishing stuff would be a good idea, too, if you get the chance.”
He took her into one of the storage rooms and they gathered everything together. The shoulder bag became a small canvas backpack with a rolled up blanket she tied to it. She stowed all the utensils in it and Mattias sent someone out to get the food they wanted. In the end, Honeymaren nodded with satisfaction.
“By the way, the spy's reindeer was brought here to the stables, you can take it.”
“I was planning to walk, Mattias. I need time on the road for a few things, and it's also more inconspicuous and flexible.”
“But then it will take you many days to get there.”
“I know, but I have a plan and I'm fast at running. Don't worry, Mattias, I know what I'm doing.”
She hesitated and pondered while looking up at the castle. Mattias guessed what was going on inside her.
“I can understand you well, Honeymaren, you want to leave Arendelle as soon as possible. But you already know that it will be dark soon. You won’t be able to reach a high distance in the short time you have left, then you have to find a shelter for the night since you won’t see clearly the path. Not to mention, you could end up meeting a pack of wolves.”
She looked at him and was about to say something in reply, but he beat her to it, “So then what's wrong with you not leaving until tomorrow morning and taking the opportunity to say goodbye to your family? You know that you would blame yourself forever if you didn't do that. Besides, you could strengthen yourself, sleep one last time in peace and quiet and let everything go through your mind once more. Please don't make any hasty decisions.”
She hung her head and Mattias already thought that she would go through with her plan, come what may. But then she nodded and sighed.
“You're right, Mattias. I actually wouldn't lose that much time if I followed your advice. All right, then. I'll leave my luggage here at the entrance, it would just attract attention otherwise, and I'll go upstairs to join the others now.”
At that moment, Captain Einar spotted them both and came up to them.
“There you two are. I was with the queen earlier, she wants to see you both.”
~~~
Wael had no chance against the two burly men who had not exactly gently dragged him out of the tavern. No one ran after them or was the least bit upset about this behavior. These men seemed to represent a certain kind of power in this village. He wondered about nothing more as they directed him into a waiting carriage and put a black hood over his head. Then they tied his hands behind his back.
He felt the two men sit down next to him and heard the coachman give the horses a tongue-lashing signal to trot off. But he could see absolutely nothing on the long ride. The men kept quiet, so he decided to just start a conversation.
“Is that really necessary, to cover my face? I don't know my way around here in the least, and I always lose my bearings quickly, too. Can't you take it off?”
He received no reply, so he just kept talking. “You will take me to the Kaskader Mountains and to Thord, won't you? It's important that I meet him. After all, you belong to him and ...”
“Shut up, stranger!” said the one on his left, and then went back to being silent as before.
With these guys one just couldn't talk and he had no great desire to receive a blow on the head if he kept trying; he thought and listened to the sounds from outside instead. There were not many sounds to be heard. At one point the carriage brushed against something, probably a low-hanging branch, but otherwise the ride was fairly monotonous.
At some point, he had the impression that it was going uphill, and this feeling lasted for probably two hours. These men must have already been near the village when someone undoubtedly got them for their questions at the tavern. They had been on the road for a very long time now. He recalled his map and estimated the time required for the distance from the village to the mountains. If his assumption was correct, they had to be very close to their destination by now.
About half an hour later they finally stopped and they took off his shackles and hood.
“Get out!” one of them said, pushing his shoulder bag into his hand.
youtube
Wael got out and looked around. They were high up in the mountains and only a few trees still grew at this altitude. The view was beautiful, but meaningless to him. He had no idea where he was and there were no clues to discover. As the carriage started up again behind him, he turned and realized he was in front of a large, old estate.
“Lead the way. I'm sure the master of the house will be surprised at you, after all, we don't get very many visitors from strangers up here.”
Wael wondered to hear more than five words as before from this guy. On the other hand, it was no use for him to try to escape now. Where was he supposed to go here? So he went straight to the front door, which a servant already opened for him from the inside before he even touched the handle. He hesitated briefly in surprise, but then stepped into the entrance hall. Behind him, the door slammed shut and the servant held out his hand. Only when he unmistakably winked at the bag, Wael understood and gave it to him.
He was led into a richly decorated salon and to a comfortable-looking white sofa. But before Wael sat down, he examined everything closely. The furniture was old and handpicked, in a style he was unfamiliar with. Everything here looked dignified and valuable, even the sconces had gold ornaments, not to mention the large crystal chandelier above him.
On the wall hung some old oil paintings, mainly portraits of noble families. Where had he ended up here; he asked himself. However, his train of thought was interrupted when someone behind him cleared his throat.
Wael turned around and found himself facing a young gentleman who was dressed in a very distinguished manner and looking him straight in the eye. It was not an unfriendly look, and yet there was something about him that Wael could not quite grasp. He bowed to his host and introduced himself.
“My name is Wael and I am from Arendelle. I am ... was a reporter for the Village Crown and I am searching for someone named Thord.”
“Then your search is now over, Mr. Wael, you' re standing in front of him. But please do sit down. You've had a tiring journey, I imagine. May I offer you something to drink? A glass of brandy, perhaps?”
Wael was taken aback and in no way prepared for this unexpected situation.
“Um ... yes, thank you, Mr. Thord, Sir. A ... um, brandy would be fine with me,” he stammered, causing Thord to grin, who now stepped up to a low piece of furniture and grabbed two crystal glasses and a bulbous decanter containing a light brown liquid.
Wael sat down while not taking his eyes off Thord. His movements were measured and exuded the dignity of a nobleman. Thord sat down next to him and poured both glasses a quarter full. Then he raised his to toast and Wael carefully clinked his.
The brandy tasted exceptionally good and was unlike anything he had ever tasted in Arendelle. It went down the throat smoothly and spread a pleasant warmth in his belly.
“Well, to what do I owe the honor of a visit from Arendelle's most famous reporter? So far from home ...”
Wael was speechless for a moment. Thord had heard of him? He wondered what to start with, thought about what else he had put together at home about this mysterious ... nobleman, he now realized.
“To be honest, it's a longer story. One I'm sure you'd be very interested in, from what I've heard about you.”
“Is that so, yes? Well, we have plenty of time for that after dinner. I have also taken the liberty of having one of the guest rooms prepared for you, as a precaution. I take it you won't mind and will keep me company for another day or two?” Thord looked at him questioningly, and Wael thought he could read something like 'I won't tolerate any refusal' in his eyes at the same time.
Wael swallowed, “Um ... yes, of course. That's very thoughtful of you, Sir. I'm looking forward to it.”
“Excellent! I'm sure we have much to discuss. Cheers!” Thord raised his glass again and the bewildered reporter had no choice but to engage in what was likely to be an interesting game ... here in the middle of nowhere. He toasted with him and smiled a little wryly.
~~~
After Anna and Elsa first thanked Honeymaren for her heroic deed and then listened to the report on the interrogation, Anna agreed with Mattias' decision.
“This way we can continue to interrogate him in private, and I already know who could be very helpful in this matter,” she said.
“Yelana, right?” interjected Elsa, and her sister nodded.
“We can discuss it after dinner, though, sis. Will you join us for the meal, Mattias?” asked Anna.
“Thank you for the invitation, but I would like to go to Halima now. We have something to discuss as well.”
Anna nodded knowingly and rose, “Good, then I'll see you in the morning.”
Except for the general, they now all went to the dining hall, where their Northulda guests were already waiting for them.
Honeymaren was immediately asked where she had disappeared to earlier, but she did not elaborate. Before anyone else could ask, the dinner was served and the socializing began.
Later, many retired to their rooms and Anna asked those who remained if they would like to join her and Elsa for some hot chocolate in the cozy library. They could also take this opportunity to see how far Sorenson had come. Linnea and Yelana agreed, and Kristoff had planned to spend some more time with Anna anyway.
Honeymaren asked Ryder to accompany her and he wondered a bit about it, but followed her curiously. They finally ended up on the balcony in front of the council chamber. It was already dark and the stars were shining in the night sky.
“Ryder, I have something to tell you, but please promise me you won't overreact right away.”
“I don't know what it's about, but I'll try.”
Then she told him about the interrogation, what she was going to do, and that he shouldn't tell anyone anything until she was on her way. Of course, her brother couldn't help himself.
“Are you out of your mind? Even if what you suspect about Kolgrimr and his men is true, you don't stand a chance! I just saved you from him and now you want to go back there all alone? He will kill you as soon as he or his men catch you!”
She had somehow seen this reaction coming and rolled her eyes. “That's not going to happen, believe me. I ...,” she paused, dumbfounded, and narrowed her eyes. “What is this?”
Ryder didn't understand and at first set to using all his powers of persuasion, but then saw her surprised expression turned skyward. She was completely absent. “What ...?”
“Well, that one! Take a look,” she said, turning him around and lifting his head.
The next moment he recognized it, too. In the night sky was a bright apparition, far outshining all the other stars and trailing a white and blue tail behind it. His jaw dropped and he could only gape speechlessly.
“We need to inform the others. Come with me,” she commanded, pulling him along.
However, outside in the hallway, everyone else was already coming towards them discussing, with a small man in the lead gesticulating about things she didn't understand. That man had to be Sorenson; she thought to herself, the one Yelana had told them about last night.
Honeymaren and her brother were grabbed by the hands and pulled along by their mother as she passed them.
“What's wrong, mother?” she asked.
“Sorenson has discovered an evil omen in the sky and wants to show it to us with a .... uh ...,”
“... with a telescope,” Elsa added, walking right behind her. “We have one of those in the castle and sent for Kai to bring it down from the attic to the castle courtyard. Sorenson says the prophecy began tonight.”

Taboo
Alfonse x Summoner.NSFW 18+
This one goes to the people who wanted an Alfonse Summer atl. At least we got Freyr.
 Taboo: from Tongan tabu ‘set apart, forbidden’
 Summoner POV
As a person who comes from the “World of Steel” I am be very used to most levels of nakedness in people. I mean, when you do P. E. at school or when you go to the gym or running at the park, or the beach, and watch TV; we are all bombarded by all kinds of nakedness. We are used to looking at other people’s bodies as something normal.
   When I got to Askr I met heroes of all kinds and many of them are just like me in that they find levels of nakedness normal. Take Hawkeye for for example. He is quite a gentleman and in his culture it is quite normal to be half naked.
 Leading the heroes I got used to them and their bodies enough that I view most of them with a more clinical eye, like a doctor would. When they are wounded and I help treat them, I see their bodies just as a doctor would. The same goes when I see them in the beach or the spring. This make them much more comfortable around me. So much so that some of the heroes have tried to play tricks on me and see me crack.
  Like the time the most unlikely pair, consisting of Niles and Henry played a trick on older Ike. They took his clothes when he was in one of the baths, locked his room and hid his clothes in my office (which is attached to Alfonse’s). They told him not to worry “ The Summoner is asleep.” I was definitely not asleep and saw the guy in all of his muscular glory. Did I get flustered? Not really. I mean at first it was like “WTF”, but I was not ogling the guy! He was all freaked out, and I got worried. Besides, I have seen him almost naked before. What is a little more skin? Well it wasn’t little to be fair…it was actually quite a lot…
  I was quietly reading a report on my writing desk, all hunched over, when he came silently in and stood right in front of me. I waited for him to talk. I thought it was Alfonse at first, coming to get my report, so I did not even say anything. I am used to him just coming in and sit to wait for me to finish my work quietly. Then Ike stands just in front of the desk and I look up to see a mop of dark blue hair over his “Ragnell”. I look all the way up to see Ike looking over at the bookcase behind me. He was not yet aware I was awake.
   -Ike? What are you looking for?- I ask calmly looking back to the bookcase behind me to see what he was looking for. I hear a yelp and something heavy falling down. I look around and find him on the floor covering himself with his hands. His eyes were wide opened and he could not talk for a second. He just kept opening and closing his mouth and said “ I can explain.”in a strangled voice. Alfonse chooses that exact moment to come inside and finds me standing up to give Ike my coat so he can cover himself up. What does he see? I am undressing my self in front of Ike and Ike is naked on the floor.
 ...NICE…
   Yes we were able to clear that up. Alfonse even laughed about it and still does sometimes, but that was only the beginning.
   Some time later Dieck comes inside the study Alfonse and I use in the library. Now we all know Dieck always uses the bare minimum on clothes, but this time he is wearing only his pants and boots. As soon as he comes in, he starts taking his pants off (And of course he is not wearing underwear) and looks at Alfonse and say.
   -Oh Your Majesty is here too? Oh don’t worry; I don’t mind.- He now is butt naked and kicking his boots off. I turn to Alfonse with a ‘WTF’ face and I see him tomato red and very angry. He looks at me and…Why…is he angry at me too? What did I do?
   -Dieck… what the hell is going on?- I ask calmly because I feel Alfonse is going to blow a gasket and any loud noise will set it off.
   -I am here for the check up.- He says simply and his smile falters a little, looking sideways at Alfonse. I focus on his face like it is a normal conversation. Doctors and nurses can do this and so can I.
   -What check up?
   -The one you ordered to check our birthmarks and scars, just in case we are killed and there is no other way to identify our bodies.- I turn to Alfonse and I give him a questioning look, but he appears to not have heard anything except the “the one you ordered”. He is looking at us both angrily back and forth.
   -Umm…Well now that you mentioned it… It sounds like a good idea, but I have never given that order. Whoever told you that? -Still focused on the face.
   -One of the soldiers…so it is not true?- He asks now red in the face, which is very weird because this man has no sense of shame when it comes to showing off. Then he goes to cover himself with his hands, but too late Dieck, I already saw it all.
   -Well no, but it is a good idea, right Alfonse?- I say thoughtfully. He seemed to have regained his senses and is now still red, but his face is lowered and he just nods.
   -Oh…I should go then and find that (he whispers some curses under his breath)…I… -He takes his pants and puts them on. I start making a note about the idea to tell Anna.- I am sorry ______.
   - Don’t worry Dieck. No harm done. This has happened before and just so you know I liked the idea, but if we do make it happen, it would be a member of the healing team doing the check up.- He looks skeptically at Alfonse who is pinching the bridge of his nose and has his eyes closed. You know, that face he does when he is about to lose his patience? Well that one.
   -Oh! Thanks for letting me know.
   -I want to know if you can identify the soldier that told you this. Please see me tomorrow after breakfast,at the training ground.- Alfonse tells Dieck and there is a determined look on his face. Dieck looks back at him and with just the same look, agrees to it.
   At the end we did use that idea, but meanwhile I had four other heroes coming in to undress in my presence. One of them being Lady Camilla who agreed to dismember whoever was the culprit of the trick. The other was Libra who looked about to faint when he was informed he had been tricked by someone. King Claude, who laughed about it and congratulated whoever had bested him in his kind of game; and finally Sonia, who paraded around the room, even after I told her it was not necessary for her to undress. The culprit ended up being Xane ,and Marth was not lenient with him. Neither was I. I mean whoever plays a trick like that on Libra?! Yes! He is a guy!
 This keeps happening periodically, specially with new heroes. It is like some kind of hazing ritual.
   At this point I have seen at least one version of all the heroes naked for one reason or another and like I said before, they seemed to be very comfortable around me and my professionalism.
  Yet I, being myself can’t get used to showing much of my own body due to my insecurities. I mean I may exercise and maybe train but I keep myself still kind of covered up almost all the time. It is a uniform after all. I even have to wear that tiara they gave me. I look like royalty XD
  Askr itself has it’s own norms and they are far more conservative when it came to dress codes and overall behavior. I mean Alfonse sometimes sounds like I imagine my great grandpa sounded back in the day. And this is when I realized something. I have never seen Alfonse in any kind of undress and…It kind of bother me. Why? Because he was the only one person I was attracted to in all of Askr. I loved that man’s mind, heart, personality and skill…in everything he did.
 I knew I was in love with Alfonse at this point, but it had taken another Alfonse showing a little chest to understand that I was the the most sexually frustrated of all my life and that looking at his chest was doing things no one else had done in their entire nakedness. Hell not even porn or hentai had given me the high I got from imaging my Alfonse in that outfit. I mean…not that I used to watch porn or hentai. I know what they are, but the time I did watch, it was all meh. I even thought it was funny. I mean, who isn’t curious about that ? I suppose we have all gone at least once and taken a look at it? Right?…right?
   I remember plain as day I stood there stunned into silence, and probably mouth agape the whole time. I must have looked like an idiot or a pervert! My Alfonse was red as a tomato and trying so hard to avoid my gaze. At the end of the day, the only thing I got out of him was a little laugh and a small  “I am so glad, we do not share that costume here in Askr.”
 …..FUCK!
   I find my self starting at his UN-globed hands when he is drinking tea or eating. I try not to, but the white smooth surface of the back of his hands contrast with the rough calloused fingers, so used to gripping sword and shield. They can also play the sweetest of sounds on a violin and I find that so sexy. Those same long white fingers so tempting and beautiful in their strength and skillfulness. Sometimes I stop my self from wondering how they would feel and...<<What them fingers do Alfonse?!! No ! Stop!>>
  It is true I touch him often. Touch is my love language and even though I always make sure to give people that do mind, their personal space, I do know that Alfonse does not mind. Alfonse may not be a huger, but it does not mean he does not enjoy being touched by people he holds close to him or for them to be near him. Also yes, I have helped him with his wounds but, most of the time I am to damn worried to actually take time to enjoy the touch of his skin and to be hones I find that quite a violation of trust, so I do not indulge in it.
   Sometimes he has caught me starting at the brim of his scarf and under-armor for a glimpse of his neck and I feel so embarrassed by it, but the thought of kissing him there is so tempting to me and I long so much to see past that barrier. He always covers himself again when he sees it is revealing more that that fraction of his neck… And Lord above! Is he smiling?
   The curse of all of this is, that yes we have Summer here in Askr, but it is not as hot and you have to travel to the beach to be seriously hot. He has never gone to the beach with us, since I arrived here.  I am not counting the times we do go, because Anna comes up with some scheme to raise money for the order, because we all wear the uniform then. Whenever he goes to the hot spring; he does it by himself, when Sharena and I are doing something else. Even while going to the river he wears long sleeves, because …bugs. I have asked Sharena and she just answered that she had not noticed and why I was interested….Oh you know…scientific purposes Sharena…
  At first I feel so sad and rejected. Fine…I get it. You are not interested in me and do not welcome my intrusive looks…but…he gives me so many mixed signals! Why is he so close at meetings and I can feel his fingers touching mine. He has taken my hands in his many times. When another hero flirts with me he always appears out of nowhere with knitted brows and a disapproving stare. Prince Hrid came to say ‘Hi’ once and to talk to me, and next thing I know Alfonse drops everything to be next to me as well. Hrid even asked me if we were engaged ! I wish Hrid!
 Well I suppose that is what friends do right? Maybe he does not want me falling in love with a hero and leaving Askr while they need me here. But I talked to him already. I am not returning “home” and I am not leaving…because…How can I leave and not see him again? Not that I wanted to return “home” to begin with, and it seemed impossible to fall in love with someone else other than him.
   I have seen heroes flirting with him as well, and he seems unimpressed by any of them. I have heard other heroes telling the rejected ones, “He has eyes only for the Summoner.” …But what had they seen that I don’t? So I go and ask Sharena and she just laughs it up and says to give him time. He is shy and self conscious.
 …So he does like me, but is very shy and very busy and very self conscious and insecure? OK…I can work with that. Like a great elf king said once; “I am patient; I can wait.” But not that much cause I’m not an elf.
   Then Lif came and I thought “Hell! Even his grandpa show more skin than him!”
 Lif came like a shadow from the grave that will take your last breath. To be honest, he looked more like Death than Hel herself. Except… He was HOT. I felt bad for even thinking that, when the Goddess of Death was trying to end us all, and most specially Alfonse. And you see, that is when I got angry. How the heck was an ancestor of the Askr royalty helping that crazy witch, end his descendants?
   Lif attacked us and tried to, I suppose…kidnap me? He made a bee line to where I was standing and fell all the soldiers on his way. It was weird! I was about to bolt, because the training I had, would not stop the guy who just felled like twenty guys on his way, but something, not fear, took hold of me and I just…those eyes… It was like ten seconds in which I looked into his eyes and saw so many emotions in them, that I could not understand and then I could not move….ten seconds and he was already there in front of me, not attacking but there!
   Alfonse came before Lif had taken me or whatever he was going to do. He ended up with a bruised knee and ankle. I went to help him with some salves and bandages when we were done with the rest of the more serious injured people. He took off his shoe and rolled up the under armor. His ankle was not swollen and his knee was bruised but it was not swollen. I put some salve any way.
  -What happened? I saw it from afar and felt I would not get there fast enough. Where was Dimitri?- He said a little angry, since King Dimitri was one of my supports alongside him and he was tasked today with being my guardian. I was still massaging his ankle not even thinking about it.
  -They were circling us from the back and Dimitri had to fall back to take care of it…Umm…I don’t know what happened. It was weird. He looked at me and he just…
   -I saw it too.- Said Sharena who came to stand behind Alfonse.- It was like he hit you with a spell.
   -It didn’t feel, like a magic attack. I was more like… I don’t know…- I felt weird about it, so I just made some stupid joke to lighten the mood- Why didn’t y’all tell me your grandpa was so hot? Heh , heh, heh heh! What? It’s not my fault! He kind of looks like you Alfonse.- Hey I was nervous and I do this when I get nervous!
   At first They gave me their “ Seriously?” stare, but Sharena catches on quick and starts laughing out loud. Alfonse? Well he scowls and close his eyes and then takes his foot away from my hands. What?? wait I didn’t get the chance to enjoy that! Damn! Next thing I know, he is taking his sock and starts putting in on. I see his smooth white skin peppered with… is that golden hair? Does it have a blue in it? and my throat closes dry. I follow his movements, as hypnotizing as a dance, rolling up that white sock that is taking away my hopes and dreams. Then the under armor goes down and boot on. It took him like ten seconds, that I totally did not count. Then his hands were covered as well.
 I look up at him with my hands still hovering in the same place as when he took away his leg and see him smiling sideways. I compose myself and…Wait…What? Is he doing this on purpose? Seriously? And the worst part is, that it should not bother me at all, but the truth is…I am very bothered by it. He has become a some sort of taboo to me and GOD how I love the guy! If it was someone else like Robin who never looses that coat of his and globes; I would not care! But I love him Lord. Why is he like this? I used to thank God I was not one of those feet fetishes people, and now I will be dreaming of his feet.  Thanks Alfonse!
 Joking. I respect feet fetish people. To each their own.
 The point is that I feel like those people in Victorian novels, where they get all hot and bothered by someone’s ankle showing more than normal! Oh but what an ankle that was tho’. Stop. Focus!
   I resolve to see him as clinically as any other hero and not stare at the shape of his ears and think of how I want to whisper how much I love him while kissing it…Grrr…I’m doing it again.
   Days later we see Lif again and Alfonse is cursed…We have nine days. Good thing Hel has not seen The Ring or it might have been only seven. Yeah I joke now, but back then I was about to commit murder and then kill myself…or something just as dramatic.
 We searched for days, a way to undo the curse and we found nothing. You’d think I would have taken a page from Dean Winchester's book and played the “last days on Earth” trope to get into his pants; but to be honest nothing like that even crossed my mind at the time! I was so desperate to keep him alive that nothing else matter to me. He could have paraded naked in front of me at the time I was at the library and I would not have noticed…Well, maybe I would have, but it didn’t happen so it doesn’t count
   Until the sixth night of the curse.
   There was a knock at the door to my chamber. Oh! Did I mentioned we have a shared study? Because we do. It is between our chambers and it can only be entered from our rooms. It was his idea and it was for safety reasons. The nights I have spent sitting by the chimney staring at his door…but never mind that. He knocked at my chamber door and when I opened it, he was about to leave. He was wearing sleeping pants, a long sleeve night shirt and socks, all in white.
   We had fallen asleep next to each other at the library before of course, especially during the days he was cursed. And yes we used to huddle together during our march through Nifl. It was effing cold OK. We also usually had our sleeping rolls next to each other during campaigns, because we fall asleep while talking or after a watch,but we had never slept together on a bed. Beds are…intimate to him I suppose.
This night however, he came in and he just goes on and sit on my bed. He said nothing. I sat next to him and reached over to give him a hug. He took this as his cue and hugged back and didn’t let go. He clung to me with such force I was starting to feel dizzy. I asked him to stay the night. He nodded and still said nothing. I blew out the candle I was using to read and we went to sleep while he hugged me tightly. It was no surprise to me, but it was not so much fear that I could see in him. It was so many emotions, that fear seemed to be the least of his problems; but of course he was afraid. We spend together the following nights of his curse. Funny thing is …all those nights I dreamed of his Grandpa, watching over from my balcony window.
  And did I had a glimpsed of something while sleeping together? No. He came in and blew the candle out and by the time I woke up he was already awake. Not like I would have gone and taken advantage of his sleeping form to explore or something. I just thought later that if I had woken up before him, then may be I would have seen his shirt riding up or his pants lowered a little or maybe his sock had fallen off or something. Oh well…They were still the best nights of my life, even if they didn’t feel like that at the time. I mean, I got to be held like I was the most precious and sacred treasure in the world by my beloved. I would care for nothing else.
 Then…Grandpa is actually Alfonse from the future…
 Lif, as he goes by now, told us everything that had happened in his Askr. Which is weird because I had been dreaming of something like that and I thought it was stress.
 We spent some days in that dead world and I got to see Lif a few times. He looked curious about me, but at the same time I noticed he was avoiding me. The way he looked at Sharena really broke my heart every time I caught him starting at her. In turn Sharena looked ready to adopt him, if only he would let her do it.
One of those night I was having a nightmare about me dying while I saw Anna drop dead as if by magic. I woke up to find Lif watching me from afar. I got up and went to talk to him before he ran away.
 We talk for a while. I do not want to intrude on painful memories, but he seems to know me so well it feels natural to talk to him, just like it is to Alfonse.
 -You two…you are not lovers yet?- He asks eyeing me sideways.
 -No. Where you…?
 -Yes. After the first attack. We spent some weeks fighting Hel together. Is he still playing hard to get then?-Oh and there it was.
 -Oh! So it is not my imagination! God I thought I was going insane! Oh that Bunny suit messed me up! I love that chest!…wait. Is that why you have your chest out? - He nods.- And the glow…I noticed Thrasir does not have that glow and I love glow in the dark…ermm… It is an awesome design I have to say. I like it. It is sexy.- I felt bad for the lack of tact but at the same time he needed to know I did not find him ugly or scary any more.
 -You were always odd like that Summoner.- He says that in his deep voice, and it conveys a lot of feelings.
 Did he let me touch his chest? No…and I didn’t really ask to be honest. My respects to Lif. He gave up everything for us. I owe him a lot.
 Well, now I knew for sure and I could confront him or let him keep doing it, or maybe just seduce him. It was strange. I always thought it only worked on men, but I guess it does work goes both ways! At least it help me to fall in love with his mind and heart first, not his body.
 Next day we were walking out of Lif’s castle when the floor gave in and Alfonse and I fell through it. Luckily it was not even high, but I am not as tall as Alfonse and with my luck, part of my coat and shirt got caught on a sharp part of a broken stone pillar, and I was left hanging about one feet off the ground by one shoulder. I tried wiggling off the coat but I could not do it.
 -Are you hurt _____?- Alfonse asks worriedly getting up from where he landed on the floor.
 -No! I think I just got scratched! But I can’t unhook my self.
 - Only you _____.- Says Alfonse smiling and getting dust out of his uniform.
 -Thanks Alfonse…Can you help me down?
 He looks around and up for a while and then stares at me for a few minutes. Probably thinking how to approach the problem, but seriously I think he could just reach up and unhook me. He is tall enough for that.
  He comes close to me and circle my waist with his left arm and places his left leg between my legs to find leverage on the pillar behind me. He reaches over my head with his right arm to unhook my coat. Being this close to him is so exiting. My heart begins to race and I start feeling kind of hot. I try not to think about it and avoid my gaze from his face, but I can’t help looking at him.
 There was not much light coming down from the hole above us, but I could see the side of his face and ear…yeah the same ear I wanted to…OK! Not now! He took this time to move his leg up to hold my weight up, and I was left straddling it. He kind of wiggled it to adjust and…Oh boy! It felt good, good.
<< Oh no! Don’t move it anymore…>> I was praying for him not to move that leg, because God in heaven, I was going to come right there and then.
 …And he moved it again but higher and harder…
 -Mmmn- Oh GOD! I did not just moan into his ear. I mean, I am not horny all the time, come on! It is just that, he is so close I can smell him. He smells so deliciously manly, and his leg is touching just the right places!!
 Meanwhile he is frozen in place. It seems like he is thinking about what to do or maybe just not thinking at all. I personally think he will be leaving me hanging there to be hones. I am so embarrassed, I lower my face to hide it, but we are so close, I end up hiding my face in the crook of his neck.
 He gasps and I can feel his arm tightening on my waist and I get even closer to him. I feel him moving his head a little as if to see my face and then…he moves the leg again as if testing it. This time slowly. I tried and fail to stifle another moan but it still comes out. He moves his hips upwards and keeps moving the leg. It creates just the right amount of friction needed. I feel my hips move on their own to meet him.
 -Alfonse…- My legs tighten around his and when I come close to his manhood I can feel his arousal as well.
 -_________- He whispers my name softly as my leg touches him. All this while he is still moving that blessed leg back and ford. I am panting at this point and he feels like he is in the same situation. All of this brought me to my knees. I came hard. I sat there shuddering in his arms and biting my hand because the stone caused every little noise to sound louder. I felt him kissing my hair.
 We heard some loud footsteps up above us and then…
 -Hey! You need help down there!- I hear Barst’s voice over my head. He does not sound or look like he heard anything.
 -We are fine…I just need …to get her down.- Alfonse’s voice sound a little strained but Barst takes it to mean he es working on helping me down. Just like that, he unhooks my coat and lowers me down gently, still not letting go.
 -I’m getting a ladder!- He’s gone and we can hear his footsteps getting farther away.
 Alfonse steps forward still with me in his arms ,until my back is against the pillar and then looks at me and kisses me hard.
  I am dizzy by the time he lets go. - He is coming back.- He says against my neck and bites into it. I am sure they could hear that whimper that left my mouth. And can you blame me? He just bit into my neck and at the same time moved his hips in a way that I could feel his manhood rub against me. Both his hands were lowered to my hips and he used them to have me closer to him. All this while, he gave this utterly sexy guttural sound that almost sounded like a growl… He lets go, takes a step back and turns around, a moment later a ladder is lowered.
 -You go. I will explore down here a moment.- He says in a firm voice not looking at me.
  I go up the ladder still a little shaky and flushed. I tel Barst to let him explore to see what he can find, but to leave the ladder for him to get up. Darn I wanted to go “exploring” with him. Just imagining what he is doing down there is doing things to me. Good thing everyone thought I was scared of what had happened. I only had a scratch to show.
 He came back much later.
 …Well that was a lot of “exploring”.
 He comes to the camp outside the castle and we are ready to leave just after lunch. At first he seems reluctant to be near me. I am freaking out because well, overthinking and anxiety mixed with insecurities is a bad mix. Finally after half a day of travel, we make camp and post the watch. He comes and sit by my side when I am eating. We don’t talk about it until we are left alone to go to rest.
 -I…I apologize Alfonse. It wasn’t my intention. I…it just happened.- I tell him when he doesn’t speak.
 - It wasn’t my intention either…you don’t have to apologize. I have been wanting to tell you. I…have feelings for you. I just did not want to say it in a situation like that and not at a time like this. I wanted it to be special. I am in love with you _____.
 -I love you too Alfonse. I have for a long time… I’m sorry I ruined it…but I could not help but enjoy having you so near.- He is scarlet red, but smiling.- Which by the way, is your fault.- He looks puzzled.- Sir you are playing dirty.
 -How so? - He asks.
 -You are playing hard to get with my heart.
 -Oh that game you started playing with mine?-He asks arching an eyebrow.
 -What? Me? When? You don’t even let me see your hands for God’s sake. I never saw you flirting with me.
 -I…hold your hands.- He says blushing. Well that was so Alfonse of him.-…erm…You used to never take off that coat or those pants. You were all mysterious and unreachable- Mysterious? Well, firs time someone said that about me.
 -You wanted me to take off my pants?- He turns red again -I was…insecure. I mean look at those gorgeous women out there and I get all jealous and insecure. I felt safe with my coat on. What was your excuse?
 -The same…I am jealous and insecure…Well, I was at first, but then I noticed something about you. - I give him a questioning look.- You could look at any hero in the nude and not get flustered by it. When I asked you why; you told me they where just natural human bodies to you. You sounded like they were nothing special; like you had analyzed bodies so much you did not find them beautiful or sacred any more. You said you studied them at school and everyone paraded half naked in musical shows and the like. Later you told me you did find them beautiful in an artistic or scientific kind of way but it did not make it better to me.
 How to make someone like you fall in love….with me? I listened to you and how you praised my intellect and skills, and I knew you were attracted to those qualities, but there are other men with intellect and skills at home too. I needed to find a way to be special to you.
  It was only when we met that other Alfonse dressed in a bunny costume that I understood. The way you looked at him made me so envious and jealous. What was so special about him? I saw you ogle his body like he was the most sinful of apparitions, and he looked just like me! I was frustrated. That same evening I saw you looking differently at me, and I could not help but feel elated about it.
 I spied you looking intently at my naked hands and when I put on my globes, that look of disappointment did not escape my eyes. It occurred to me that you had never seen me in any state of undress and it must have been strange to you. I understood how you felt now. I have been watching heroes for years. Beautiful women I have been watching on a daily basis and none of them feel spacial, even if they have beautiful bodies,or incredible skills. Yet the day I saw you wearing regular clothes I …well I…- He blushed, lowered his face and left the sentence hanging.
 I flirted with the idea of letting you see more of me, but then I would just become like any other hero, and I wanted more than that. I want so much more.- Now he looked at me, and there was so much love and affection in his eyes, I could have melted in the spot.
 I have to confess I enjoyed seeing you flustered when you could see a little of me. That made me feel special, but I did not want to be just a mystery to you either. I wanted your heart and soul,your love not only your lust. I needed to to know you loved me.
  I had a talk last night with Lif. He told me they were lovers …His summoner and him. He told me I was being a fool just wasting time. He said that if you were anything like his ______, then you loved me, jut like his summoner did him. _______, I want what they had…I want everything, but I am afraid. Between this situation and the war with Embla…You understand me, don’t you?
 - I understand you. I suppose the time is not right. I don’t want to look back on the day we finally are together and remember all these tragedies. You know Alfonse. You were right about me and my take on “nakedness”. I guess we are on the same page now about desire too. To us, Desire comes from love. That is what makes you and your body especial to me. I fell in love with your sharp mind and your heart first, but also thanks to your “efforts” I can understand and appreciate how special a lover’s body is. You made me understand, that what I feel for you is true love, not just infatuation or lust. Thank you. We can wait if that is your wish…if not…I will not say ‘no’ to that to be honest. I leave it to your discretion…But Alfonse, next time you go “exploring” , I want you to know, I can always lend you a hand. ;)
                                     ~*~
  I write this on the day of Devotion. Alfonse and I had another talk and at the end, we decided to wait. Alfonse’s position is a little difficult, and now even more so after his father’s death. His personality makes me forget he is royalty, but the weight of his crown is a lot. He has more responsibilities and images to uphold. I want to think we have time to enjoy each other’s company, hearts and mind before we rush things any way.
 Well, I have to go, my family (Yes they are my family now) is waiting for me. Sharena informed me there is a huge surprise for me. Well, Anna did owed me some favors and she designed the costumes for the Royal family.I can’t wait see Alfonse! I hear he is wearing sandals XD Wink, wink!
 PS: Wait! I just realized something! Lif was actually spying on us!?

"Teach you what?"
"How to be a better man, how to have mercy, and compassion."
Unbeknownst to you, a little purple and pink cat watched every step you took. Of course, it wasn't because he cared. Cheshire (unlike many other Wonderland villagers) genuinely wasn't affected by your presence, or lack there of, but the Hatter had asked him, in exchange of a hefty reward, of course, to keep an eye on his beloved Y/N.
While watching over you Cheshire just did a whole bunch of growling and nose scrunching. He hated the sight of the King, and even worse, was the sight of such a man in love.
"Such a shame to be the bearer of bad news dear friend," Cheshire said, not at bothered by the fact that he had bad news to tell "but it seems as if Y/N will be our new Queen."
The cat twirled a strand of his coloured hair around his index finger, as he fell down onto one of the many chairs along with the Hatter's never-ending table.
The Hatter's eyes widened and so did his toothy smile.
"She's carrying on with the plan! She will decapitate him herself and become our Queen! Oh but I'm so happy I could dance the Futterwacken again!"
He clapped feverously and suggested a toast, clearly missing the meaning of Cheshire's words.
"I'm afraid you missed what I meant, Hatter. She will be our Queen, because she will be marrying the King."
The atmosphere suddenly became silent, eerie even. The Hatter's green, sparkly eyes transformed into an ugly, rage-filled, yellow. The man gripped the teacup on his hand so hard it broke, but the rage, disappointment, and growing heartbreak fogged his brain to the point where he didn't even notice the pain, nor the blood trickling down his palm.
The Hatter was rarely angry, but when he was, it was enough to scare poor Cheshire, who didn't hesitate in disappearing into thin air. Or he tried to. Before every bit of his body could be gone, the Hatter grabbed Cheshire's hair, making the cat groan in pain, and threw him on the ground.
"What has he done to her!? Was it a curse!?"
Cheshire caressed his head and stood up to look at the Hatter.
"It wasn't a curse Hatter, she fell in love. After you deceived her and the King showed her nothing but truth and love, the choice was pretty evident."
The reasonable explanation seemed to calm down the Hatter, whose eyes morphed back into their greenish colour. However the dread and panic in his face were still evident. Cheshire, still quite upset at Hatter's tantrum, could see on his friend's face an expression of someone about to spew a terrible, terrible idea.
"We must get her away from the Palace. It's gotten into her head. Let's get her back to us!"
The man-like cat floated back to his usual place in the air, twirling in the process. He chuckled audibly, showing his sharp canines in the process.
"Hmm yes, let's steal her away from the man she's come to love, so she could be with us, the people who lied to her for our own benefit. Sounds like a party if you ask me..."
"A party!?" Haigha exclaimed, his left eye twitching as he smiled widely at the mention of his favourite hobbie.
"That's where the King's behaviour comes in our favour," the Hatter said, patting Haigha's head so he'd sit back down "once he sees her take her beloved Queen away, he will show his true colours, Remember how scared and freaked out she was last time we saw her? She said he seemed really sweet while talking to her until he eventually snapped. Once he snaps, he will freak out and bring out the tyrant's behaviour and scare her away."
It was hard for Cheshire to admit, but his mad friend's plan wasn't so mad after all. It was possible to accomplish what the Hatter suggested, and there was nothing to lose, you already hated them anyway.
The Hatter slapped his thighs and stood up, fixing his big top hat in the process.
"Shall we go?"
Haigha was already standing up from his seat when Cheshire stopped them.
"Perhaps we should discuss the plan further... Something tells me we might need some help from Absolem and Bayard..."
Sneaking you out past the Card Knights would take a lot of help, and Cheshire had already worked out in his head the escape plan. It would take a little pressure on Absolem, as he managed to care even less about the people around him than Cheshire did, but the cat was sure he could get a shrinking cake out of the blue catterpillar. After shrinking you and hatter down to the size of a strawberry, Bayard (the loyal dog friend of Hatter's, that Cheshire tried his best to keep a distance of) would bring you to the White Rabbit's house, as it would be too obvious to come back to the Hatter's cabin.
The cat had no intention to help you, but he did like to see some drama and commotion in Wonderland once in a while, and this was his chance.
Whilst all of the furious planning went on on the greenlands of Wonderland, in the Palace you and the King sat opposite of each other on his bed, gossiping like two high schoolers.
"And then my best friend at the time, Anna, slept with my boyfriend and said it was 'because of a dare'. I forgave her because we had been friends for so long but then she told my crush that I smelled so I stopped being her friend."
The King nodded along and listened attentively (trying his best to cross his legs just like you, but failing miserably) to your story.
"Hm yes, yes, I understand. My best friend ate one of my tarts so I cut off his head."
You couldn't help but scoff at the way he compared the situations, although you reprehended him right after for the heartless act.
He had asked to know of your previous life, how it was back in your world, and so you sat there reminiscing your past for hours on end. Most people in Wonderland came from other places, but Seonghwa had never been elsewhere, as he was born in the Kingdom.
"So this establishment you call 'school', was it like a club you went to where you reunited with your peers?"
"No, no. School was a mandatory thing for all kids, we went there and a bunch of teachers taught us about different things."
"Hm, but all you've told me so far were anecdotes about these friends of yours, what were these classes like?"
You blushed slightly, realizing that in fact, you didn't remember shit from school, aside from past dramas.
"Well, they told us many things about earth, about what makes the world move, about how society works, and what makes things work. We learned about gravity, about numbers, about stars-"
"Stars!?"
The King's eyes lit up as if he was a child whom you had promised ice cream to.
"Yes, stars. Why?"
Seonghwa stood up from the bed in such a violent manner, he nearly fell. The man ran over to his closet, from where he retrieved an old book. The hard cover was beginning to tear, and the once white pages had become a weird mix of brown and yellow, but you took it in your hands nevertheless.
"This book once fell into the Wonderland when I was a child. I was alone most of the time, so it kept me company. I can tell from the images it talks about the stars, and I think I learned a lot from it since I stared at them a lot, but I cannot comprehend the alien language."
The King leaned against the headboard, and you laid beside him, placing your head on his chest, so you could hear his now nervous heart beating fast from the contact. Out of instinct, the King placed his arm around you and pulled you closer, as you opened the book.
You chuckled slightly, after seeing the author of the book and opening its pages.
"Seonghwa this isn't an alien language, it's Italian. Well, I guess it's an alien language to you, but it was funny that you said it that way... The person who wrote it was very influential back where I'm from, he taught the people of Earth many things about our space."
The male listened carefully as you tried your best to explain the things in the book as best as you could.
"This here is what we call the Solar System. It has nine planets, but only one of them has people, this one, where I live." You told him, pointing towards Earth.
Seonghwa noticed how your posture changed, after you remembered once more that you would never return home again, and panicked for a second. He disliked many things, but your tears had definitely gone up to his number 1 on the list.
"How about I ask for a picnic to be arranged in the garden, and at night we can watch the stars."
You turned to face him and smiled as you nodded. Seonghwa's thumb caressed your arm, and you couldn't help but to place a soft kiss on his lips, as a 'thank you'. No matter how many times you did that, the King never seemed to get used to it. He would always feel butterflies in his stomach and fireworks exploding on his chest. Sometimes you felt perverted, thinking of how he'd react if one day you decided to take it... further. You imagined how pretty he'd look... But you decided to take your time. Baby steps...
The King couldn't wait for dinner time, and you could tell from the number of times he had gone up to the window and pushed away the blinds to see if the sun was finally setting.
As he was staring out the window, you came behind him and wrapped your arms around his figure.
"Can I tell you a secret?"
Seonghwa looked around, to make sure no one was nearby eavesdropping. He wouldn't want your secret to being known.
You tiptoed so your lips could be leveled with his ear.
"You're adorable."
Once you got back down and looked into his gleeful eyes, you smiled.
"Let's keep this secret between us!" He joked along.
"Yes, I wouldn't want the other ladies to know and steal you away."
Seonghwa held your face and lovingly placed a kiss on your forehead.
"The other ladies don't stand a chance next to you princess."
Your cheeks heated up and you slapped his chest out of embarrassment. The King's face grew worried and confused.
"Why did you hit me? Have I done something wrong? It was meant to be a compliment I'm sorry I compared you to-"
You grabbed his face and squished his cheeks, making him form an adorable pout with his red lips.
"Seonghwa, it was a good thing. I slapped your chest because I was embarrassed, I was really touched by your compliment."
Once you let go of his face, the King tapped his chin with his index finger, in a pensive manner.
"I have much to learn about our future interactions, I do not understand many things."
You just chuckled and took his hand in yours.
"We have many years ahead of us, you will learn someday."
The small acknowledgment of your future made Seonghwa very happy. Never in his pitiful life had he even thought of being this happy over small actions... Last week the only thing that brought him joy was the sound of a traitor's head hitting the concrete floors of the palace's main area, but since you arrived, a smile was all it took for his cold heart to start beating again.
It didn't take long before one of the frogmen knocked on the door to inform the picnic was ready. Seonghwa didn't let go of your hand as you walked outside, to sit among the red roses.
You had finally come to terms with Wonderland's weird food. You had no choice really...
"Have you never been attracted to anyone, Seonghwa?" You asked as you munched down on a sandwich of... whatever it was.
Seonghwa's expression faded a little.
"Once. I had just become King and I thought that the next step would, logically, be the find a Queen. Every woman displeased me. All but one. She was beautiful, hair as dark as the night sky, tanned skin from the sun, and a beautiful mole under the eye. But she was cold, evil... I thought that it was a perfect match. After all, I wasn't the most caring person. But she would treat me like a servant. Our relationship was purely to serve a purpose to the Kingdom, nothing else. We slept in separate rooms and spent the day apart. We only dined together, but since I saw the same behavior from my parents I thought that that was love. Our wedding had been scheduled long before she moved into the castle, we were simply waiting for the preparations to be finished. Everything was custom made, from the clothes to the flowers on every table. The day before the wedding I walked to her bedroom and found her laying with a servant of mine. You know, back when they weren't... Frogs. I had them both decapitated, of course. And I swore off love forever. That is until you came along."
You flashed him a sad smile and set down your food. He looked awfully confused as you climbed onto his lap, but he didn't protest.
You brushed his dark hair away from his eyes. Both of them. He suddenly felt very exposed and insecure, but you kissed his cheek, reassuringly.
"Ever since I came down here you've shown me nothing but love, and honesty. You didn't try to sugarcoat who you are, or what you've done, and I appreciate your honesty. My place in Wonderland is with you."
The male smiled, and kissed you, a little more passionately than all of the previous times. The male's hands trailed down your ass, and pulled you on top of his growing erection.
"For someone who has never been with anyone you're quite good at this."
"Well I... I lied. I had a fiancé after all, and we laid together but we didn't get far. There was no kissing involved, she just wanted to get it over with since I was the one who suggested we should... do it. But she made fun of me for not being good at it and I became... insecure. I was insecure and for the longest time I've wanted to try it with you, because you give me those special butterflies but I was afraid I'd disappoint you."
"What a cold, heartless bitch!" You thought to yourself. No wonder he was so bad at human interactions, every relationship he had was a trainwreck!
You grabbed his face and placed a long kiss on his lips.
"Well then, let me lead at first. If you start feeling more confident, you can take the lead, if not, I'll stay in control, okay?"
The King simply nodded and kissed you once more. This time deeper than he had ever kissed anyone. Tongues fighting so intensely the King nearly missed the way your hand expediently undid his trousers. Your hand slipped inside his boxers and took out his length. You looked down at the dick in your hand and widened your eye.
"Well aren't I a lucky girl."
You spat in your hand and kissed him again, as your hand worked up and down his shaft. The King was surprisingly very vocal, and he didn't try to hide or suppress any of his pretty moans (and for that you were thankful.
You stopped your hand, right as he was getting riled up.
"Ready for something better?"
The King watched you strip from your panties, and he cursed the frilly dress that covered your womanhood, but as soon as you sunk down on his cock, all of his worries and anguishes washed away. It was automatic, the way he gripped your hips and made you bounce on him as he snapped your hips against yours was something he did naturally as if he truly knew what he was doing. You brought out something different in him, and the King was simply doing was his body was telling him to do.
You gripped his shoulders, overwhelmed with the feeling of having him inside you.
"S-shit Seonghwa, you're good, r-really fucking good."
"Oh yeah?"
He flipped you two around, so he could pound into you with all the strength he had. Your words of encouragement were all he needed.
Your consistent (and loud) moans got him on the edge quickly, and he knew he wouldn't last long.
"Y/N forgive me, but I don't think I can last much longer."
Your hand reached down and began circling your clit, so when he came inside you, filling you up with his cum, you came right after, with a loud cry for his name.
Seonghwa laid on top of you, his face nuzzled on the crook of your neck, trying to regain his breath. You ran your hand through his hair as you did the same, looking up at the sky.
"The stars sure look beautiful today."

i’m not over Gaya sa Pelikula episode 5. the sheer layers of storytelling we have, and i know you all have pointed them out. long post incoming:
employed foreshadowing in the two horror stories and the events that later followed. from the story of the nurse seeing the cadaver in his own closet to Vlad seeing the photo of a young Karl, now a grown man and so different from the child he once was; and from the man looking at his own self holding his own heart, to Karl holding his own heart as he looked at himself in the mirror. these are not horror stories -- they are real. in the next episode, we will find the consequences of these actions.
the brownout as a device. do we not tell our stories in the dark? queer people have long been used to telling stories in this familiar place. they do not dare to tell it under the sun, for all of the world to see because stories like theirs are resented just for being. this drinking session in the dark, when no one is around and anyone else is out of earshot, that is when stories so honest, so brutal and unabashedly true, are released. this scene was beautiful and cathartic.
anna is no plot device. she’s a beautiful, multilayered, flawed character. who would have thought anna was a mom? i know i’m surprised. and yet the writer did not leave her be only to be a friend for comedic purposes. she was there to tell her own story, like everyone else does. she has agency as a woman, and for an 8-episode series that bills itself as a BL series it is really commendable to grasp the complexity of all its characters, not let them be tossed aside. and you know what? Vlad even shined in this scene. women and queer people have long stood side by side, aware and empathic of their fundamental disadvantages in society. the queer struggle is rooted in the victories of the feminist struggle, after all, and in this scene we zoom in on just how that takes form, even in the simplest of ways. just look at how Vlad immediately accepts anna’s story, and does not even judge her.
Tumblr media
the effortless gender sensitivity. the episode does its best to quash stigmas in the queer community itself. when Karl said, for instance, that In fairness, Vlad, you’re not obviously effeminate, Vlad was quite quick to correct him, and here we see an innocent Karl simply accepting his mistake, saying sorry, and intently listening when Vlad goes on to explain where he went wrong. in that moment we were all anna, smiling in sheer excitement that this kind of thing casually happens, for is that not what queer people fear at time? that even when you know better and want to correct other people for their mistakes, you'd still second guess yourself or choose if it's even okay or perhpas you're imposing your own ideals on another person. yet, Gaya sa Pelikula does away with that and shows that, ihdeed, ignorance is not cured by anger, but education. what Karl said is a common microaggression against the queer community that unfortunately, many shows (BLs, even) fall prey to. Gaya sa Pelikula is not only good plot-wise, but it is also careful to weigh its options of which important lessons it needs to impart. it is proof that BL shows shouldn’t be just for entertainment; they must advance change.
from the dark, to the blinding light. the rather smooth transition from Karl having to teach Vlad and Vlad even stepping on Karl, with Karl taking the lead; and then, to the prom they had in their minds: beautiful, well-lit, but only for them. a dream come true for Vlad—for any queer person deprived of the simple joys, of something as simple as the privilege to dance. the hope of things getting better.
Karl took the lead at first, but then Vlad did. in the beginning, it was Karl who led a reticent Vlad to the prom dance; yet, when they donned the suits and danced in the light, the roles changed. Vlad was taking the lead. it was as though, when Karl opened up to Vlad and practically told him, ‘it’s okay to be yourself with me,’ that gave Vlad the license to really be himself, be confident and free to express what he felt, share what he knew. note that during the transition, Vlad was at first so surprised by the lights! he did not know that things could turn out so good for him and Karl, and yet it was halpening. so he was so confident, leading Karl in the dance, to make Karl feel what he feels. he even said, “simplehan na lang natin (let’s make things simple).” i find meaning in that, too: see, Vlad has known himself to be gay since high school, but here we have Karl who does not even begin to question for himself who and what he is. Vlad knows this. he even sang, ever so softly into Karl’s ears, as if to say that it’s okay if you're only beginning your journey now. things are discovered, one step at a time.
Tumblr media
in the end, karl was smiling. confused, but happy. holding his heart, beating so loud, karl does not know what to feel. is that not the experience of every queer person? to know that, perhaps for the first time ever, things are “different” from what they've been conditioned to believe? and yet the most confusing thing is that it feels good and freeing and warm. in the dark, when no one is around, Karl felt his heart, saw his own reflection, and even though he does not admit it yet, Karl knows he is happy. this is the true turning point of the story. i am quite sure we'll experience the sadness next episode, so be sure to be ready.
i am just so overwhelmed by Gaya sa Pelikula. it is not only aesthetically beautiful, but is also filled with nuances that i am not afraid to look more into it. perhaps i have been too saturated with a lot of just fun, but really nonsensical BLs, that i almost forgot that those shouldn’t be the standard. instead, we deserve ones that truly cater to our needs, tell our stories, and make a shot for things going to be better. to be sure, Gaya sa Pelikula was written by a queer screenplay writer himself, which only confirms the need for more stories told by queer people, for queer people.
Tumblr media
Gaya sa Pelikula does what others are not doing. and so much more.
there are three more episodes, but i have no doubt that it will turn out excellent, far exceeding yet again my already high expectations.
in the aftermath of episode 5, i hark back to what juan miguel severo, the show’s writer and producer, had promised: “We will take back our story!”
and, indeed,  through this episode, he proves that he already has.

Mizeloph's Tale Chapter 8
Pairing - It is still General Kirigan x OC Sun Summoner and will eventually shift to Kaz Brekker x Reader
Summary - First the little group from Ketterdam has to make it through the Fold before they can get to Eastern Ravka. As they travel through the Fold a past that Kaz does not like to talk about haunts his thoughts. A promise that he never intended on breaking brings more to Kaz than he cared to admit.
Word Count - 2550
-
“They want you to believe the Sun Summoner has been found to finally tear down the wall that divides us. But how many times have we been fed a story like that?! And how many times have we in the West been told to send our sons and daughters through the Fold for another year? It is time to accept that we need to break away from the old country! Now is the time to form our own country, to keep what we make and what we earn instead of sending it to the East! For the true Ravka!” Zlatan finished his speech and walked off towards the entrance of his tent where he shook hands with Arken who had an interesting proposition
Out in the open Kaz Brekker watched their exchange, he had not been too thrilled about this, but knew that they needed Arken to get them across the Fold. He would be able to come up with a plan to deal with Arken later. Kaz spotted Inej looking at the stones with names of people from the West who had gone through the Fold and died or never come back.
Inej noticed Kaz walk up to her with the tiny goat “he’s adorable”
“Don’t get too attached” he looked between her and the stones “I didn’t think I’d have to specify no detours for you”
“Even if just a few minutes could end a lifetime of questions?” Inej asked
Kaz sighed “I have looked at these stones for answers, when I couldn’t find her name these stones felt useless, just another reminder of an unknown”
“Maybe because she was able to survive the Fold, she is now the Sun Summoner, you cannot continue to deny it forever, there is hope you two will see each other again” Inej knew that they both were trying to find a name to have some closure, but it was not always that easy
“Hope is dangerous, it can cloud anyones judgement, including our own. Just like your mind has been clouded by your questions of my past with Anna Mizeloph, I told you I wanted your complete focus on this job” Kaz said adjusting the goat he was holding in his arm
“I will, this will be the last time I promise” Inej could tell that she was pushing on Kaz berries with talking about Anna
“Don’t forget Inej, we all have debts to pay” Kaz walked off to meet head towards the meeting point with Inej walking behind him
Once it got darker everyone had met at the disclosed location near the edge of town so they could start their journey, but there was one person missing, Jesper. They still made their way towards where the train would be when Inej stopped to read the sign.
“Wait, there are landmines here..” Inej said looking to Arken
“I put those signs up there to keep people away” Akren informed them
Kaz looked behind “where the hell is Jesper?” he did not want to be delayed
They walked over to where the machinery was hidden that would get them through the Fold “It’s one thing to hear about it, but.. This is..” Inej looked at the looming darkness as they got closer
“Nothing compared to what lies within” Arken went through the thick shadow and pulled the train out “there, so the goat, jurad.. Thank you. Now we are just waiting on the coal..”
“Wait for me!” Jesper yelled as he ran, followed by gunshots
Arken began to panic as he saw Jesper running towards their location with people following behind “they can’t see the train!”
“Leave the lantern!” Inej yelled
“Landmines!” Jesper looked at the sign
“Come on!” Kaz knew it was going to be close
Jesper tossed the lantern onto the ground and ran to the train in the dark making sure to watch his step. Once he got in he felt a slight sigh of relief wash over him, he had gotten coal and not been blown up.
“Please tell me you have 20 pounds of alabaster coal” Arken pleaded
Jesper gave him the bag “slight snap in the plan, turns out the kid who was helping me buy the coal didn’t exactly know how to, um, buy coal”
“We know you gambled it away” Kaz knew Jesper too well
“I lost a bit of the money.. Well, I lost all of the money, but! I was able to steal 20 pounds of alabaster coal” Jesper smiled a little
“No no.. there’s only 16 pounds” Arken was slightly panicking
Jespers smile faltered “16 pounds of alabaster coal”
“Can we do it on 16?” Kaz asked
“Never been done before, now I need you three to sit down and never shift your weight” Arken started to set everything up to get the train to start moving, then they suddenly heard the sound of an explosion and men screaming
Jesper shook a little “Landmines..”
Kaz looked up a Arken from his spot “I thought you said they weren’t real”
“I said no such thing, I just said I put the sign up” Arken began to put coal in and the train started, they entered the Fold.
It was quiet in the train so far, everyone was thinking about anything else than being inside the Fold. As the train chugged on Kaz knew that right now he should be thinking about what they will do to get into the Little Palace, but his thoughts drifted to Anna Mizeloph. He knew better, but Kaz could not help it, the little girl with white hair that he remembered was now the Sun Summoner. He remembered when they were younger, imagining their lives and how everything would work out.
-
Little 8 year old Kaz and Anna were holding hands as they ran down an alley holding a few items of food. Once they got to their safe spot they sat down and started to nibble at the food, Anna looked over at Kaz.
“What do you think our lives will be like once we are older Kazie?” Anna asked
“Honestly, I’m not sure, I want to get back at Pekka for putting me and Jordie in our current situation” Kaz was angry, he and his brother had the chance to start a new life when their father had died, they should not be in this situation
“But you met me.. You mean a lot to me Kazie” Anna said looking at the small amount of food she had left, this was all she knew, living on the streets
Kaz sighed “the future also involves me and Jordie becoming rich and you will be a part of that Anna, we will stick together” he smiled a little at her and pulled Anna close
“Good” she rested her head on his shoulder “but if you become rich can we travel the world? Maybe see Ravka? I’ve only heard of it from others travelers, but it sounds beautiful”
“Anything you want Anna” Kaz adjusted Anna and began to run his fingers through her hair to try and get a few tangles out “when we are older you will get whatever you want, I promise”
Anna smiled and closed her eyes feeling Kaz run his fingers through her hair. While she hated that Kaz and Jordie were cheated out of their money to survive, Anna was thanking every saint that she had known for meeting Kaz. She felt beyond lucky to have a best friend like Kaz and wished that they had met under different circumstances.
“Hey Kazie?” Anna said softly
“Yes Anna?” He continued to run his fingers through her hair now for comfort
“Can you make me another promise? This one is more important..” Anna could not imagine her future without Kaz
“Anything you want Anna” Kaz smiled a little finishing his combe through of her hair and pulled her close into a hug
“Promise me that we will never be separated, that we will grow up together and never leave each other, please promise me this” she pleased
“Yes, I promise” Kaz said, not knowing what the future held and that in a year he would break that promise. However, he didn’t know that, so with his ignorant bliss he made the promise
“Can we pinkie promise?” Anna asked looking at Kaz
Kaz smiled and nodded holding his pinky out “I promise”
Anna held her hand out and linked their pinkles “I promise” she continued to stay close to Kaz as he kissed the top of her head, their promise.
-
Kaz thought about that promise more than he would like to admit, he was the first one to break it. Even though it wasn’t really his choice because the people who collected him and his brother thought they were dead. However, that was still the moment of separation and Kaz wished that things could have been different. Anna was and still is an important girl to him and it made him think about what would happen when they were finally face to face. It would eventually happen since Anna is the key to the million kruge mission. Kaz wondered if she would recognize him or not, if she did how would she react? There was a lot running through his mind about Anna that was suddenly jossled when the train jerked.
With the sudden motion of the train came a strange noise snapping Kaz out of his thoughts “what was that?”
“Bits of metal hun on the poles, when they collide with the one on the train it markes where we are in our journey, right now we are on time” Arken said while looking at his watch
“How did you know where to put the poles?” Kaz asked
“Physics and engineering are a part of.. Most of my success” Akren continued to focus on his watch, he would glance at the coal then back at his watch
“And the rest?” Kaz glanced up at Arken
“What we might call divine intervention” Akren checked the coal against
“What other might call luck” Kaz never enjoyed relying on luck in anything
“And after all, the Fold is thick with volcra, and the tracks are not complete. Coal please” Arken said, Kaz threw some coal in
“I’m sorry, did you say the tracks weren’t complete?” Jesper asked starting to feel a little bit nervous and began to move
“Ah, ah! No moving” Arken said “it seems like we are falling behind, by my calculations we are now a tad late, more coal” Kaz put some more coal into the flames, fueling the train to continue going
“Back to the real issue, we are on tracks that don’t connect to other tracks” the amount of panic in Jesper was beginning to rise
“There is a gap, but..” Arken was going to continue but Kaz cut him off
“You said you could get us through, how much of a gap? Kaz asked
Arken sighed, continuing to watch the coal and the watch to see if they could get back to being on time. “I built slats on the car, they roll into place under the wheels and the turbine generated enough wind to push all the way to the eastern tracks. This only works if we did not shift our weight, now we are about to go past a nest, the noise may attract volcra but it is the only way across”
As they continued through the sound of growling volcra echoed “now we have a problem, but we should be fine if they haven’t attacked us by..” the flapping wings of volcra got closer
Kaz looked at how Arken reacted “if need be how do you fight them off?”
“There is no way to fight them off, I can only outrun them to give a fighting chance. Open the throttle and toss all of the coal in, if we had 20 pounds this would work” as the coal was tossed in the train was gossled, Arken looked out to see what had happened “Damn! One of them impaid itself onto a spike”
The blood from the Volcra seeped through the ceiling and into the train “we need to get it off or else the other will stand on it” Kaz said
“More coal!” Arken commanded
Kaz threw the rest of the coal in and the bag it came in “we are down on fumes!”
Everything was beginning to unfold against them, they were behind, volcra were now attacking their only means of transportation through the Fold. A true nightmare, it almost had seemed too good to be true in the beginning when everything was running smoothly. Kaz could tell that they would be cutting it close, if they could even make it through.
Arken nodded “we won’t make it with this extra weight” he continued to try and get the dead volcra off the spike
“This is how we die” Jesper said
“Jesper grab the goat” Arken looked down at his watch to see if they were any close to the other side of the Fold
“I’m not throwing out the goat!” Jesper yelled
“Damit it Jesper, grab the damn goat! It’s not bait, it is for you now I need you to calm down and hug the goat!” Arken yelled back at Jesper
The sound of metal meeting metal rattled through the train “no no.. we should have hit that mark 20 seconds ago”
This caught Kaz's attention “20 seconds? Meaning..”
“My timing is precise in order to get us through, even 20 seconds behind means the train could stop inside the Fold which means.. Death for all of us” Akren looked down at the flames keeping the train going, but his attention was pulled away by the sound of volcra “there are more coming.. You may want to make your peace..”
Kaz never hoped for anything, until now he was hoping to make it through the Fold to see Anna. He had never been afraid of death, every mission in Ketterdam was a risk. However, this was different, he could die right here and never see Anna again. Within his thoughts he realised that there was so much more to this mission. Once her name left that man's lips the night of the job, that night he knew that this would be his chance to see her again. He needed to stay alive in order to see her and that would not be possible if he died in the Fold.
Arken looked up as the contraption that had taken him across the Fold too many times to count, it was now being torn apart by a few volcra. Jesper knew what he had to do, he had the guns, with his skills in hand he approached where the volcra were tearing through the top. The monsters screamed and with collection Jesper began to fire off shots at the swarming volcra killing all of them. It was a moment of silence before another metal ping rang, the sun shone through the hole made by the dead volcra. A sigh of relief left everyone in the train, they had made it through the Fold, alive. Now they had to figure out what the next plan was in order to get them into the Little Palace and get Anna Mizeloph.

Author Note - I am so sorry this chapter came later than I had hoped! These seem to only get longer and longer XD However I hope everyone enjoys this chapter! I originally did not plan on adding this chapter, but I thought it would be good to see more of Kaz and the past he has with Anna Mizeloph. Like always feel free to pm me if you would like to or leave a comment, I love reading what everyone has to say!

sweet creature (spencer reid x f! reader) pt 2
a/n: ah yes, a case chapter. this was gonna be longer but i didn’t want it to just drag on and i just ended up cutting out some parts soooo enjoy this 3k word chapter of y/n using her big galaxy brain to solve a case with just a pinch of fluff w spence :)
part one | part three
Tumblr media
It was only the beginning of the movie when the weight of the day hit her. She snuggled further into the couch, trying to gain some extra warmth. Spencer had his apartment so cold, she could nearly feel the chill creeping up her body. Her eyelids began to close shut slowly, and the sound of the television lulls her to sleep. She was far too tired to keep herself awake, so she hoped that Spencer didn’t mind if she rests, at least for a few minutes.
Spencer keeps his eyes glued to the television screen, having been making commentary throughout, he didn’t even notice Y/N fast asleep. “You know, it’s actually scientifically impossible for someone to-“ He turns his head to look at her, and she lets out a quiet snore. The TV’s sound was barely audible now, Spencer turning it down so it wouldn’t wake her. He stood up to his full height and the freshly cleaned floor squeaks as his feet carried him to the cupboard that held spare linens and duvets.
He laid a blanket over her figure gently, careful not to disturb her. Taking the extra blankets, he spread them out, making a makeshift bed on the floor below her. He flickered off the TV and all that could be heard was the pitter-patter of the rain against the windows. Spencer let the layers of blankets engulf him in warmth, letting his eyes fall heavy and drifts off to sleep.
The next morning, Y/N woke up to the vibrations of her phone ringing. It was Anna. Wait. I’m still on Spencer’s couch. Shit! I was asleep longer than I should have! She sits up, checking the time, “I’m late to work!”
She tossed the blanket off her and tried to push herself off the couch. But then she sees him. Spencer curled up with a blanket that was much too small for him. She stifled a snicker and covered him with the blanket she was once using.
Before Y/N could leave, she noticed a pen and notepad sitting atop his desk. Maybe I should leave a note, she thought. She grabbed the pen and the black ink slid smoothly across the page.
Sorry to leave so soon… and for falling asleep during the movie. Lets reschedule? Keep in touch, 187! xx
-Your favorite barista
She heard Spencer stir in his sleep, and just before he could wake up, she was gone.
-
“Surprise?” Garcia questioned. “What surprise? What’s going on-” and then she realizes. “Oh, Coffee shop girl! You’re the girl from the coffee shop!”
Y/N hid a giggle behind her hand as she stood. “You told them about me?”
Out of the corner of her eye, she can see JJ’s head shoot up. “Yeah, Spence,” she says, tilting her head at him. “You told us about her?”
“I told Garcia,” he grumbles.
Spencer can feel the five pairs of eyes on him. He didn’t think that not telling the team about her was such a big deal. Why was it such a problem he kept something to himself for once? They practically live together. Spencer just wanted to keep someone who makes him feel like a person. He wanted to keep her so close to him because he finally had the chance to think about something other than work and the cases, and the people he couldn’t save. He wanted to be someone; to feel normal. In the time that it’s silent, he understood why Y/N didn’t tell him, but he sure as hell wishes that she did.
Spencer’s eyes flicker back and forth between her and the team.  “We should focus on the case.”
-
The first case Y/N works on with a team is fairly close, which she appreciated. She wasn’t particularly fond of plane rides but that was something she had to get used to. Joy, who she found out is Rossi’s daughter, had been writing a piece about violence against women on campus, and noticed a series of mishap in the area. After finding what she believed was more of a case than a possible story, she brought attention to a series of disappearances to the team’s attention once a young woman by the name of Bahni Desai had gone missing.
“4 cases in 9 years.” Derek speaks into the cell, sitting in the driver’s seat. “How come this hasn’t been on our radar?”
“Because the disappearances were in different states with different M.O’s.” Rossi explained over the speaker.
Y/N claimed her spot on the middle seat in the back, reviewing a case file. “The first missing woman was Kathy Miller in 2006,”
Morgan questioned. “So what’s the plan once we land on campus?’
“Track Bahni’s movements. Campus police checked her room, she’s not there. They taped it off for you.” Hotch instructed.
“What about her cell phone?” asked Spencer.
Y/N shifted in her seat, passing the file to Spencer and whispered to him. “It’s kind of cold in here, don’t you think?”
He turned ever so slightly to look at her. “I have my jacket in my bag if you need it,”
She dug to find the much-needed jacket and threw it over her shoulders. It was his FBI issued jacket, tapered at the sleeves and a bit oversized. It smelt like him, she noted. Cinnamon and coffee. She offered him a gentle smile. “Thanks, Spence.”
Spencer returned the smile, handing her back the file.
“It just pinged in her room overnight,” Garcia informed. “No credit card activity. I’ve confirmed with all the ticket agencies she didn’t take a boat, bus, blimp, or plane last night. Oh! The Dean's office just sent us her file from Judy Temple College. It looks like- Oh dear…” She trails off.
“Looks like what, Garcia?” Y/N urged, tugging the jacket closer to her.
“She voluntarily withdrew!”
-
“She definitely didn’t plan on leaving town,” Spencer surveyed Bahni’s abandoned closet. “Her clothes, shoes, and luggage are all still here.”
“Well, it looks like she was trying on different outfits,” said Morgan.
Y/N shuffled past Spencer, standing next to Morgan, and observed the clothes laid out. “Miniskirts, heels. Seems like she was going out.” Y/N added.
“But why not take her phone?” Reid asked, picking up Bahni’s cell. “She’d need it to meet up with her friends.”
She spun on her heel and inspected her desk, noticing two chemistry textbooks. “Unless her friends were already here,” she suggests, her finger brushes against the lettering on the cover, then beckons Morgan to look at the books.
She turned the cover of the textbook, Morgan doing the same to the one to their left. Y/N pushes out a sharp exhale out of her pursed lips. Paddy Morris, she read.
Morgan is the first to speak. “Same textbooks, different names. “She wasn’t studying alone.”
Spencer moves closer to the pair and peers over Y/N’s shoulder. “That could be the last person who saw her.”

Y/N trailed behind Morgan and Reid with her hands tucked into the pockets of Spencer’s jacket, and her eyes wandered around the halls of the building. This is going to be her first interview. She wasn’t nervous, per se, but her mind couldn’t help but fill with possible scenarios. Don’t mess this up, Y/N. Only ask questions relevant to the case and remember, don’t say the wrong thing.
“Nice jacket,” Morgan commented, slowing down to reach Y/N’s pace.
“Nice face,” she joked, reaching up to tap his cheek.
Y/N quickened her pace, walking past Spencer, and she could practically feel his stare burning into the back of her head. She found the correct door, and it was Reid and Morgan’s turn to trail behind her. Finding Paddy’s correct door number, she taps her knuckles against the hard wood. “Paddy Morris, this is the FBI,”
“Very funny, Josh,” They heard through the door.
Y/N turned to the men behind her and they shrugged their shoulders in unison. She scrunched up her nose, knocking once more.
The trio held up their badges as the door flung open, exposing the girl. “You’re not Josh.”
“Great observation,” Y/N nodded.
Paddy opened the door wider for them, and they took their spot on the three chairs to the side of her bed. “We have a few questions about Bahni Desai,” Morgan told her. “Is there any information you have that might help us?”
She let out a sharp exhale. “I was with her last night. She was fine,”
“Any idea why she left her cell phone in her room?”
“We didn’t take purses, and we didn’t have pockets in our skirts.” Paddy draws out.
Y/N saw Spencer shift in his seat. “Ok, walk us through the night, you guys were studying before you went out?”
“Yeah, um,” her voice is shaky. “I knew about this party. She didn't want to go.”
It was Y/N’s turn to ask a question. “Did you two come back to the dorm?”
Not too bad, not too bad, she reassures herself.
“No. I made her stay.”
“Why?”
She gulped, looking over their shoulders and out the window. “There was this tennis guy that I’d been trading tweets with. He said he’d show up, but he was late, and then the later it got, the more I drank.”
“How much did you have?” asked Reid.
“Her, I don’t know. Me, a lot. Until Peter arrived…” she trails off. “She told me she was going right after that.”
“Did anyone walk out after her, maybe try to escort her?”
“Not that I saw,” she frowns, face streaked with tears and day old mascara wiped beneath her eyes. “God, it’s my fault, isn’t it?”
Morgan reassured her. “No, it’s not. But there’s still a way you can help us.”
She perked up, wiping the stray tears away. “Anything. Name it.”
Y/N straightens up and asks, “Where was the party?”
-
“This was the last spot she was seen. The next camera is 100 feet down,” Spencer pointed forward. “Which makes this the abduction zone,”
Y/N walks with him, investigating what the team has found, all thanks to Garcia, Bahni’s last location before she went missing. “Alexandria police searched the buildings, nothing was there.”
“Well, if she got in the car with him, they would have shown up on the camera down the street.”
Her eyebrows knit together, suddenly coming to a stop. “Right, so it would be too risky,” she looked to the camera, and observed the shops behind them. “Just shoving her in the trunk of a car. And out in the open like this? Someone would have been bound to see them,”
“Well, that leaves this.” Spencer gestures to the near alleyway. It’s empty. Secluded. Low chance of anyone seeing the attack.
Spencer and Y/N shared a look, walking further into the alley. His phone went off, signifying that he’s gotten a new message, and she watches him as he fetches his phone out of his coat pocket. She could see the wrinkle between his brows that he would when he was worried about something,
She stops in her tracks and gently places her hand on his bicep. “Is everything okay?”
“Actually, no. My mom’s not doing so well,” Spencer says, biting the inside of his cheek. “The doctors have had to change her medicine 3 times to try to stabilize the schizophrenia,”
Y/N knew about his mom and her conditions. He had mentioned it a few times to her when he would go into her shop during her break. She let out a soft exhale and rubbed languid circles in his arm as a comfort. “Spencer, why didn’t you tell me… or the team?”
“I- I didn’t want to bother you,” he averts his eyes
“You could never bother me,” Y/N’s voice is hushed. “You can never bother any of us, got it? How long has this been going on?”
Spencer’s frown deepens, looking down to the asphalt beneath their feet. “It’s gotten really bad the past few weeks.”
“As soon as we’re done here, you need to go help her. She needs you,”
Y/N watches as his eyes narrow, looking at her this time. “I know. Right now so does Bahni.” he said firmly.
She watches him as he moves to leave the alley, and a frown etched on her face. Y/N knew he would rather keep something to himself than bother anyone about his problems, but this was different. She just wanted to be there for him, to help him, to make sure he doesn't feel alone. He was her friend, after all. Spencer turned to her, looking at her expectantly, and she followed him.
“Alright, let's think this through,” Spencer said.
Y/N added. “Okay, so, if he took her this way, it is a busier street,” they both observed the cars passing. “The traffic was much lighter last night, but it would be a risk to abduct someone in plain sight.”
“So he was able to control a drunk woman and it didn’t look suspicious.”
“He probably just put his arm around her and walked off, and was too drunk to realize she was in danger.” she replied.
“You know, if this was just about the assault, he could have done that back in the alley. I think this gotta be some sort of long-term play,”
“Then he’s been watching Bahni,” she makes eye contact with Spencer. “Looking for the perfect opportunity.”
“Well, he certainly found it last night. She’s a straight-A student who never drinks and rarely goes out.”
Y/N nods, walking back to the alley to inspect it once more. She eyes the spot where the suspect was last documented, trying to think of anything that could possibly help them, and then it hits her. “Spence, tell Garcia to look for offenders with precursor crimes.”
“On it,”
-
The rest of the investigation went by smoothly and the team rescued Bahni successfully, arresting Tom Larson for abduction of Bahni Desai and Sam Burnett for the murder of Kathy Miller in the process. By the end of the night, Y/N stayed behind as the majority of the team left, having to finish paperwork for Hotch. She heard shuffling, and it brought her attention to Spencer sitting on the edge of his desk. Following his gaze, she noticed a framed photo of JJ’s newborn perched on her desk. Then she examined him closely, noticing visible bags under his eyes, and his hair slightly disheveled. She gathers the loose paper into a folder, then places them into the drawer of her desk.
“You were that little once,” Y/N says, catching Spencer’s attention.
“It seems impossible, doesn’t it,” he smiles fondly at the photo. “That we all start out so helpless.”
Y/N got up from her chair, joining Spencer at his desk. “Yeah, well, we all end the same way.”
A moment of looming silence passes between them and Spencer stiffens, suddenly becoming hyper aware of the proximity. It’s not that he didn’t like it. It made him more aware of the flutter and flit of the butterflies in his stomach. That he didn’t like.
Y/N is the first one to break the silence. “You’re gonna call your mom?”
Spencer is brought back to reality by the sound of her voice, and he’s back at ease. Y/N did a good job at doing that; easing him. He furrowed his brows, checking his watch. “It’s not too late there, is it?”
She gently grabs a hold of his wrist to check for herself. “Shouldn’t be,” she whispers.
Y/N let her arm fall to her side. “I wanted to tell you, by the way.”
“Hmm?”
“That I was joining the team,” she crosses her arms over her chest. “I wanted to tell you.”
“Why didn’t you?” he counters.
“I didn’t want to intrude. I thought it would’ve been weird if some girl from the coffee shop you go to just suddenly started working with you, but I guess that happened anyway,”
Spencer’s eyes flick down to her. “You’re not just some girl from the coffee shop,” he says slowly. “And if it makes you feel any better, I really enjoyed working with you today.”
Y/N’s lips curled upward, bumping his shoulder with hers. “Hmm, I guess we just make a good team,”
“Guess so,” Spencer says with a soft laugh that makes her heart swell. “You know, I actually didn’t mean to tell Garcia,”
“You didn’t?” She raised her brows.
He shook his head. “She saw your number written on my coffee cup.”
“I see,” she hummed.
There’s a moment of comfortable silence. Y/N scoots away from him slightly, barely realizing the closeness. Her stomach twists and tumbles within her, nerves spiking, trying to find words to add to the conversation. She finally looks at him and she feels heat creeping up her neck when she saw that he was already looking at her. And she finally says, “I guess I should be getting home,”
Spencer followed her movements, trailing behind her as she retreated to her desk. “Would you like a ride home?” she asks.
For a second, it is silent again. It’s clear to her he’s thinking way too into the question. “It’s no bother,” she adds, giving him a kind smile. “I promise.”
She held out her arm just like she did that morning and waited for him to link his arm with hers. He visibly relaxed, hooping his arm beneath hers. This is what he liked about Y/N, what drew him to her. She allowed him to break down his walls when he was with her, and he guesses that that was why he let himself be so comfortable with her because if he was being completely honest, he wouldn’t do this with anyone that wasn’t her. Yeah, he was close with JJ and Penelope, but the connection was just different. He just couldn’t put his finger on it, and for the first time, Spencer Reid didn’t know why.

more adhd balthazar propaganda requested by my beloved @sunriseat9am <3
adhd symptoms I noticed throughout his scenes:
rejection sensitive dysphoria:
I’m going to use 6x21 as my crutch for this because look at him
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
also in 6x03 when cas chooses the winchesters over him
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
hyper sensitivity:
almost every scene we’re faced with balthazars walls of an ‘I don’t care’ attitude which I think is just masking for his hyper sensitivity. I mean the 6x21 forest scene says it all, for a minute or two he stops masking and elevates his voice while using rapid hand gestures to vent his frustrations. I can also use 6x03 again as an example with how he begins pacing during the rougher parts of the conversation in order to hide his face from cas. and again, the way he blankly stands there while cas raises his voice, his own tone getting much softer.
mood swings:
balthazar to change frequently through emotions. he goes quickly from anger in the 6x03 holy fire scene to being utterly defeated within a few words. the 6x21 forest scene where he goes from frustrated to calm in a matter of seconds, and the 6x21 confrontation scene with sam and dean he goes from annoyed to panicked before composing his false attitude enough to fly off. just watch and you’ll see how he never keeps a consistent emotion during scene.
hyper activity/ excessive activity/ fidgeting:
balthazar is never not moving and when he isn’t it’s only ever for a few seconds. we also know he goes out to parties a lot and constantly surrounds himself with any chaotic activity he can find. this isn’t even mentioning the 6x15 scene where he’s talking to himself while rushing around bobby’s house, completely ignoring anyone else.
irritability/ low frustration tolerance:
truly this could just be because he finds sam and dean extensively annoying as he should, but I’m clocking him. he just hates them so much without a concrete reason. he doesn’t hate cas for trapping him in holy fire, but then again sam and dean have ruined a lot for him.
impulsivity/ lack of self restraint:
he doesn’t example many impulsive decisions, the only instance I can find is him impulse to save cas in 6x03 despite what it will cost him, but I think he’s impulsive in the way he speaks. he says a lot of out of pocket things depending on how who he’s talking to is making him feeling in the moment. adding on ‘honey’ after challenging raphael just because he knows cas will save him and telling dean he considered ‘ripping out his sticky bits’ just because they were annoying him was out of impulsive in my opinion.
dismissive behaviors:
watching through his scenes I noticed how dismissive he is of his own feelings and situations he doesn’t want to be happening. he fidgets more in these scenes and puts up and entirely different personality while either laughing it off or trying to change the topic. when he starts getting dismissive it’s also when his mood does a whole 180 within seconds. the entirety of his opening 6x03 scene is what I’m using as proof.
always relating things back to his interests:
I think his interest in movies is pretty obvious (titanic, the godfather, etc) so when he explained the current situation to sam and dean in 6x15 by using the movie the godfather, unsinking the titanic after watching the movie was his plan he was finding ways to relate through what he knew.
poor planning:
to me balthazar never really fully thought through everything he did, kind of like I said early he acts on impulse at times; in 6x03 when he damaged raphaels vessel to save cas, betraying cas and working with the winchesters, telling sam to kill bobby. when castiel even comments that he came back in 6x03 looking for an explanation of why, balthazar gives some off handed comment on the spot of how he’ll have more time to flee. I don’t think he ever saw through to what would happen as a result of these things all he thought in the moment was what he really cared about.
stimming:
stimming isn’t something he does much in canon, but I’m counting the times when he gets frustrated and starts pacing/ talking with his hands as him stimming.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
persistent repetition of words or actions:
once again this isn’t something he does much but I noticed how he always holds his glasses the same exact way and drinks them whenever gauging what exactly he wants to say next. he also repeats words directly or summarizing things over and over to get his point across.
Now for the fun hc stuff!!:
(some or these are repeated from my hcs post and some are from my girlfriend who has never watched the show at all but is the resident adhd haver of our household so <3)
when he was younger sitting around in intelligence was very boring so he learned how to do tricks with his blade. it became a way of stimming to him so he could focus on whatever he was being taught. no one in intelligence appreciated it though. cas actually gets his spinny blade thing from him.
his character description in script says that he’s slightly manic (an attractive charmer who appears slightly manic on the surface but carries a great sadness) so I think that when he finally left heaven it was on impulse during a manic episode. he knew he had to leave, but I don’t think without that adrenaline he could ever bring himself to leave his garrison.
most definitely canon and confirmed that he has sensory issues and the reason he wears a v-neck all the time is because if he wears a collar any higher he feels like he’s being chocked.
old love songs are always playing throughout his house because it’s subconsciously helps him focus and he finds the quiet off putting.
his jacket? There is the part of the end of the sleeve thats really smooth because of how often he rubs it when he is panicked or just unsure of himself (a personal favorite from gf <3)
whenever him and cas are talking he’ll stim by messing with the belt of his trenchcoat.
whenever he can’t remember something he looks around the room and snaps his fingers while mumbling under his breath trying to figure out what he’s supposed to remember.
flashback to my post that said quote “adhd balthazar propaganda flappy hands” because so true past me
he wears a lot of jewlery so I like to think he stim with it <3 he messes up and fixes his watch over and over again. during long conversations he’s tugging his rings on and off to make sure he focuses on what’s being said.
going back to the sensory issues he can pet a cat normally but never backwards because he hates how it feels yes I’m right.
he sways all he time without noticing, especially when sitting. he sits cross legged only. (this one from my gf <3)
he’s overexcitable!! he’s loud and has no volume control!!! he just wants to have fun with things!!
he hyperfixated in cas for a bit and would tell him everything. (from my gf and no I don’t know how he never watched the show yet was on the nose with this one. they’re just a genius i guess)
I’ve noted before that I think he only likes wine so I think he stims sometimes by twirling his wine glass.
his first ever hyperfixation was frogs <3
he’s bored very easily with people and places hence why he flys all over the world.
he repeats his own stories a lot with the same amount of excitement which always bothered other angels outside of his garrison. it’s one of the reasons he learned to mask better.
despite being perfectly fine in loud crowded areas he gets easily overstimulated in high stress (mental) situations.
he hyperfixated on movies after being exposed to them on earth. it’s how he learned about modern human culture and finds it the easiest way to relate/ communicate with them.
he’s the most sociable out of the garrison but somehow had the least friends.
he doesn’t understand other people’s emotions at all. he can’t tell how people feel about him in anyway. sam and dean hate him but they still call him for help. he thinks he’s cas’ best friend but cas has never chose him once. he tries to act like it doesn’t bother him and pretends to be self centered to avoid having to ask the question. anna used to be the one to help him with things like this since she always had a good grasp on communication, but obviously she isn’t around anymore.
he’s a perfectionist, to him all things are about presentation. I’m using his introduction and the raphael confrontation scene as my proof.
balthazars always either humming or singing under his breath which everyone but his garrison finds annoying. they used to, but they’ve just become well adapted to his quirks.
he’s repressed his personality a lot. being loud and excitable in heaven was highly frowned upon, so in order to survive he tries to mask as much as possible

To be seen, part One (Frankie Morales x reader)
Summary : Usually, you’d be babysitting your friend Jessie’s son but you had to come into work. Your colleagues are really excited because “the boys” are here, so you get the chance, for the first time, to see what the fuss is about. You probably need to get laid.
Author’s note : This is gonna be a four or five chapter story, not clear on that yet. Frankie isn’t here much but the endgame is Frankie x Reader. This chapter is really here to set up the reader’s relationships and workplace.
Warning : Harassment
____________________________________________________________
Chapter One :
« Yup, they’re here, » confirmed Anna, with a wink in Jessie’s direction, before she closed the kitchen’s door and went back to wait on the patrons. You were confused for a moment, but Jessie was jumping up and down in the small space, almost knocking over a bunch of plates she had been cleaning just before. She was vibrating with excitement.
« You’re finally going to see what the fuss is about ! » She all but screamed. It dawned on you, then.
The boys.
So, here’s the story : once in a while, always on a Saturday, four dudes come in, sit down, drink a few beers, chat for a bit and call it a night. There used to be five, apparently, but one of them must have been kicked out of the group, according to Jessie. One of them is usually a little banged up - always the same. One of them always makes a point to flirt with whoever is waiting on them but it’s harmless. They tip well. Nothing special, right ? Except apparently, they’re hot. And Jessie juggles with this job and the kid, and she’s on her own, has been for a while now, so it is a big deal. Apparently.
You’d been a bit worried with all the fuss she made about those guys, but then you remembered that her last date had been months ago and had ended with her coming home in tears, self-depreciating bullshit spilling out of her mouth, about her life, her failed mariage, the state of her car and the way she drank beer instead of wine and she shouldn’t because wine is more refined.
So. You’d been worried. But you figured that nothing seemed wrong with those men, and that a little fantasy was harmless and sometimes needed.
You’d never had first-hand experience with the four guys, though. You worked every other Saturday night but Jessie and you had an agreement with your boss, so you could babysit her kid the Saturday she worked since she couldn’t afford to pay someone. This Saturday, though, you had to make do and find someone to mind Clara because Phil, the cook, was sick and someone needed to replace him.
You couldn’t cook for shit and Jessie could, so she was in the kitchen, you tended the bar and Anna waited on the patrons. You let her friend get a well-deserved sneak-peek at the table before you made your way back to the counter, making an off-hand, harmless remark that she needed to get laid as you walked through the door. Once you got behind the counter, you took a deep breath and looked around.
Time to see what all the fuss is about.
The place wasn’t overly crowded for a Saturday evening, but it was still early. You spotted the table pretty easily. It was one a bit away from the others, isolated, separated from most of the room by the pool but far enough from it not to be disturbed by the players and-
Oh.
Oh.
Maybe you needed to get laid, too.
———
You were staring. You knew you were staring. Hard. But then again who on earth allowed those four men to look that good. Men should never look that good. Men that looked that good were trouble. And three of them definitely looked like trouble. It was written in the way they sat, like they were at home and not in a public space with other people, legs spread wide, radiating confidence. The last one, the one with a cap on his head, was on the shyer side, but still-
Trouble.
Here’s the thing. That dating thing, that wasn’t on your mind. You gave it a shot a few years back. You’d met her in college, and when you’d both ended up with an art history degree that proved to be useless, you’d moved in together, and you’d tried to open a bookshop that crashed and burned in less that two years, and all of your savings with it. Something had cracked in your relationship, then, and you’d both tried to fix it because you’d had a good thing. The break-up hadn’t been ugly, but mending both your broken hearts had taken time. You still called each other from time to time, true to your last promise : when things get easier, let’s not be strangers. It had been her - Linda - who had said it. You hadn’t had the heart, then. Now, five years later, you were glad she had.
Five years later, you found yourself back in your home state, bartending on a Saturday night, that art history degree still useless but no longer leaving a sour taste in your mouth, a bitter sense of waste of time and money. You hadn’t had a date in three years - he had been nice, really pretty, you’d dated for a while but he’d wanted to become a big Wall Street boy and you just weren’t into that. It might be time to reconsider getting laid if you couldn’t look at a bunch of hot dudes without your brain turning to jelly, though.
Somebody cleared of throat right in front of you and you snapped out of it, apologizing before getting the man’s order, good that his presence would prevent you from drifting away too much. Then the rush came, and you forgot about the table for a while.
———
When Anna came back to give you a bunch of orders, she did so with an eyebrow slightly raised in expectation. You knew she wanted your feedback on that table, but you didn’t want to agree with Jessie and her, so you shrugged in a way you hoped looked casual and unaffected. She saw right through your bullshit.
« Fine », you whispered. « They’re hot. Hot. »
The patron at the barstool turned his head towards you and you felt your face burn. So much for whispering. Anna only laughed, head tilted back, her blonde hair waving as laughter shook her body. She was 25, beautiful in a traditional way. She was genuinely nice, and always saw the good in people. She was to this world what Jane was to Pride and Prejudice.
Which is why, when the man sitting on the barstool leaned and said to her :
« You’re a pretty one, too. »
She just smiled and thanked him. Of course, he had to take that as an invitation. This could have been the beginning of a very beautiful story if not for the fact that he was old enough to be his father, knew it, didn’t care, and that this beer obviously wasn’t his first one. You hadn’t noticed when he first sat down but now that he had leaned in, you could smell it. He reeked of alcohol.
« Wanna grab a drink sometimes ? See where that leads us ? »
Anna politely declined, and made to leave, but he grabbed her arm. You could tell it wasn’t meant to hurt her, just to hold her back, to prevent her from leaving, but you felt yourself tense.
« Sir, » you said in a tone you hoped sounded firm and steady, « I’m going to ask you to leave my colleague alone. »
He turned his head towards you and Anna took the opportunity to free herself from his grasp. She looked at you a second, a silent question (are you gonna be okay ?), and seemingly satisfied by your slight nod, she took off.
« You’re not bad yourself, you know. »
Steeling yourself, you turned to the patron.
« This is inappropriate and I’m not interested, Sir. »
But the man was relentless. When you said no for the third time he started muttering to himself, something about women all being bitches to him. You were getting really tense, and looked around to see where Anna was. She was at the boys’ table, watching you. Actually, the whole table was watching you as one of the men - the beat up one, your mind registered - was walking your way with purpose.
— ——
You were staring again, you realized. The man had taken a barstool too, right in front of you, and was waiting for you to say something. Probably a sentence. A coherent sentence.
« Hi, what can I get you ? »
Nice. One word at a time. You could do it.
« Nothing, I just wanted to introduce myself. I’m Benny. »
He offered his hand. You took it. He was all sharp angles and there was something wild and dark in his eyes, but he had a nice, warm smile. Your hand seemed tiny in his. After a beat, you told him your own name. He gestured behind him, towards the table, still looking your way.
« My pals over there and I were wondering if you were new. Never saw you around. »
« I’m not. I guess I’m not around when you guys are. »
« That’s what your colleague said. »
Bullshit.
He knew you saw right through it, and you tried to convey the fact that you appreciated the gesture without saying anything too obvious. There was no doubt that Benny would have no problem getting physical with the other guy at the counter if needed. But the man in question was standing awfully still, like he got the same vibe off of Benny you did. He’d stopped muttering and was looking very intently at his bottle. Benny kept going, and you soon saw what he was doing. He slightly turned and pointed towards his friends. You noticed Anna had gone back to work.
« See the blonde guy over there ? That’s my idiot of a brother, Will. Guy with the cap is Frankie. Last one is Pope. »
You raised your eyebrows at that.
« Pope ? »
« Sorry, force of habit. His name is Santiago. Santi for short. We used to serve, Pope was his call sign, and I guess it stuck. »
He shrugged, keeping the conversation light, but the mention of four ex-military casually sitting there and checking on you was enough for the other patron. He got up and left without a word. Your sigh of relief didn’t go unnoticed.
« Santi saw something was off a while back with that guy, when he grabbed your colleague … »
« Anna », you automatically corrected.
« When he grabbed Anna, » Benni obliged. « She confirmed when she came to take our orders. »
« Thank you. »
You were used to dealing with that kind of stuff, but it was nice to have back-up, especially when the usual one wasn’t there. Normally, you’d go to Phil in the kitchen, but today, Jessie wouldn’t have been much of a match against a drunk guy would wanted some. Jessie, who was standing, you saw, right outside the kitchen door, gaping at you.
« I never got your order », you stated, turning your attention back to Benny.
He gave it again and you smiled.
« It’s on the house. »
———
« So his name is Benny. The blonde one, Will. That’s his brother. Then Santiago and Frankie. »
« Yes but which one is Santiago and which one is Frankie ? » all but whined Jessie.
You were closing the place. Anna wasn’t saying anything but you could tell she was listening intently.
« A bit too old for you, aren’t they ? » You quipped.
She just laughed.
« No harm in looking. »
She was right. No harm. Meanwhile Jessie, arms waiving all around, complained :
« How come I tried to get their attention for weeks and something happens the first time you see them ? »
« Yeah, it was a real pleasure to get harassed. I made sure it happened for the attention. All part of a very good plan. »
« Oh come on, » she shoved you playfully « you know what I mean. »
The parking lot was empty. The cool air around you was quiet except for the occasional sound of a car going down the street nearby. The three of you fell silent, walking to Anna’s car. You kept silent during the drive, too, exhaustion settling in your bones. You knew you were lucky : tomorrow was your day off. Neither Anna nor Jessie had that chance. You’d be sleeping on Jessie’s couch tonight, just so you could babysit Clara. Your foggy brain betrayed you, then, and a bad thought came to you like a stab in the back :
When was the last time you saw a movie ? Went to an exhibit ?
You buried it, like you did every time you reminded yourself you were not where you thought you’d be at your age. When Anna pulled over in front of Jessie’s house, you thanked her and waited, silent again, as Jessie thanked her babysitter, winced as she paid her - you knew that was not something she could afford - and went to check on her sleeping girl. You were making yourself at home, preparing the couch for the night, thoughts of Benny and other hot dudes, ex-military guys entirely forgotten when you heard, soft and broken :
« I know it’s silly. This whole thing. I just … I wish someone would look at me, you know. »
`
Jessie was standing in her living room, lost and desperate. You stopped, right then. The bags under her eyes were dark. She wasn’t going to cry, you knew that. The way she spoke, with finality, like she was convinced no one would look at her ever again, made your exhausted body tremble with anger. You closed the space between the two of you and held her for a while.
Later, as you were plugging your phone, you saw a text from Linda.
Hey, just checking on you. Everything good, these days ? Saw that French movie you told me about. It’s great ! Seen it yet ? I know you were excited. Don’t be a stranger ;)
You thought back on Jessie’s words. Somebody, at some point, had looked at you. Had seen you for who you were and had embraced every one of your qualities and your flaws. You didn’t miss it. It didn’t hurt anymore. But you remembered how beautiful it had been. Jessie’s marriage was never like that, from what you could tell. If you picked up the phone right now and called Linda, she would be there for you. If Jessie picked up the phone, all she’d get would be a reminder that her ex-husband had changed his number and couldn’t be reached in any way.
You were lucky, you realized with a sharp sense of guilt.
You were lucky that you’d had that, with Linda. And you were even luckier that you didn’t need anyone to look at you. You didn’t need anyone to see you for who you were.
You didn’t.
You didn’t.

𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒚 𝒌𝒊𝒅𝒔 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏: 𝒌𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒓 𝒔/𝒐 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆
a/n: i realised half way through this that each one is basically an imagine (¤﹏¤) but enjoy! also this is my first time posting my writes!
bang chan
first,,,, i feel like chan would kiss you in a really cute, romantic way
idk maybe i’m wrong but like i get this romantic vibe about chan that could only come out with his s/o
i also feel like he would kiss you around like the second or third date??
cuz he would want to be sure that’s what his s/o wants
you and chan had finished eating your dinner you had made and were cuddling while watching frozen (i think he would love to watch disney movies w his s/o,, just sayin)
the scene with hans and anna dancing and singing ‘love is an open door’ came on and he jumped off the couch and held his hand out to you for you to take
you looked at him with wide eyes
“seriously?” you said giggling
he nodded grabbing your hand and pulling you up
you laughed as he wrapped his arms around your waist dancing around the room
the song came to an end and your laughter settled when he pulled you closer,, and looked down at your lips
you bit down on your lip letting air escape your mouth but before you knew it, he caught your breath and his lips were on yours
minho
depending on the mood, minho can be a 100% goof
so when it comes to kissing you, it will probably be quick and sloppy because he’ll be making you laugh or the other way around
you and minho were sitting on you phones playing kart rider waiting for hyunjin to finish his vlive so you all could get something to eat
you had finished your last round but you saw minho was still invested in the game so you bumped his arm making it fall out of his hand
“yahhh, i was winning!” he whined
you crossed your arms pouting, “yea well your not paying attention to me!”
you saw a smirk form on his lips out of the corner of your eye
“NO-” you knew you were in for it
before you could even finish he launched into kissing ur face everywhere until he stopped right in front of your lips
you were recovering from sudden affection but you were forced to stop when he smashed his lips onto yours
but only for a sec
“is that enough affection for you?” he said grinning,,,
changbin
 for binnie he would kiss you fairly quickly after you he confessed to you but being the busy boy he is, it would be maybe a week or 2
lately, he had been very busy writing lyrics for new songs that you both haven’t had a lot of time together
he was working on his music in the studio when you peeked your head through the door
his eyes were drooping and his head rested on the palm of his hand slowly beginning to drift off
as you gently knocked on the door gently his head quickly turned to see you
he smiled twisting the chair around motioning to come sit on his lap
you sat down pushing his hair out of his face and smiling
he wrapped both arms around your waist bringing you close enough to feel his breath fan across your lips
“you’re tired babe,,, you should go to bed” you said breaking the silence
he smiled at your words and looked down at your lips and then looked up to your eyes for confirmation
you could barely smile before his lips softly pressed against yours and you could feel him smile in the slightest way
hyunjin
for jinnie he would kiss you probably on the first proper date you would have
i see him taking you to a cute coffee shop and buying you an iced coffee and you both sharing a croissant because we know hyunjin and aesthetics
anyway
you both finished the croissant that you shared and he took your hand in his as you walked the streets of Seoul laughing and talking
“no hyunjin, it wasn’t me who said it, it was jisung!” you said giggling
“yea sureee” he said leaning down to take a sip of your coffee
you turned your head in shock
“yah!”
before you could could say anything he yanked your hand so that you stopped and were facing him
he was grinning before he leaned down pulling you closer as he pressed his curled lips against yours
he pulled away grinning “yea, it was definitely you who said it.”
you were too surprised to say anything as your cheeks turned pink so you just turned and started walking as he started to swing your hands
jisung
jisung is so passionate in everything and kissing would be no different
his first kiss with his s/o would 100% be intense
you and jisung were on a mini date at the arcade while the rest of the boys went to eat dinner,,,
“yah, you’re cheating! you can’t do that!” you whined
“what are you talking about, i’m playing the game?” he said nonchalantly as he took own of your basketballs
“you’re taking my basketballs and using them for your game, how is that ‘no cheating?’” you asked sarcastically
you heard the timer buzz on the game as he turned to look at you with a cheeky smile
“if you woulda just went along with it instead of yelling at me you would’ve won,” he stated
you rolled your eyes turning away from him
he reached out to grab your hand pulling your body flush with his
your cheeks immediately were dusted pink
“what can i do to make it up to, huh?” he said locking your eyes with his
his soft lips were on yours before you could say anything
you pulled away quickly
“jisung, there are people everywhere”, you whispered
he answered you by kissing you harder,, leaving you speechless
felix
for felix, i think he would think a lot about how and when his first kiss with you would be
but we’re talking about lee felix so that plan would probably go right down the drain sjsksjk
you had both decided to make vanilla cake just because you we bored
you blasted the music through while you baked as you sang and danced making eachother laugh hysterically
as you were pouring mix in the mixer, felix turned the mixer on high making the powder go everywhere
“FELIX WHY DID YOU DO THAT?” you laughed wiping the powder from your face
“i didn’t think it would go everywhere!” he said laughing
he grabbed a towel and gently started wiping your face
your laughter had settled when you noticed how close you guys were
at some point you had backed up into the counter
you were trapped with felix only a few inches away from your face
he stepped a little closer, forcing you to look up at him
before you had time to think he leaned in pressing his lips against yours
he pulled away looking down
you smiled brightly and leaned over to grab some powder from the bowl and flicked it as his face
but before you squirm out of his arms he grabbed your waist pulling you in for a longer, deeper kiss
sorry his was longer,, what do you expect,,, hes my bias sjksjskjs
seungmin
our puppy uwu
i feel like he would kinda just let it happen when it happened
seungmin knew english very well and since you were still in the process of learning korean he decided to help you since it was his day off
“no, no, y/n, it’s not like ‘n’, it’s like ‘ng’” he said
“ahh ok, i got it,” you said looking back at your notebook
“no, say it, i’ll see if you got it” he said, laughing
“agh, fine,” you said rolling your eyes
“ng, ng, ng” you emphasised
“yes! that was perfect,” he said
he squished your cheeks making your lips pucker
“you’re so cute!” he smiled leaning in to peck your lips
after he kissed you he quickly leaned back removing his hands from your face
he laughed nervously scratching the back of his neck
you saw his reaction and grabbed his hands
he looked you in the eyes and you quickly pecked his lips
you pulled back blushing like crazy
he smiled brightly pulling out the flashcards
this is really just a bunch little pecks but what do you expect from our puppy uwu
jeongin
lastly our baby jeongin,,,,,(*^U^)人(≧V≦*)/
i feel like jeongin would kinda just let it happen when it happened like seungmin
i also feel like he would wait to kiss you until you were a little more comfortable in the relationship
like hyunjin, he would kiss you on a date
he had set up a picnic for you both at a park near your house
you were both young and innocent so a lot of the dates you went on were cliche which the rest of the boys made fun of him for but he loved it
you ate and laughed enjoying every moment you had together
you leaned back on your back looking up at the clouds
he laid down next to you grabbing your hand turning his head to look at you
after awhile he leaned up on hand looking down
“where’s one place you’ve always wanted to go?” he questioned
you turned your head to look at him
you wanted to question why he was asking that but you just decided to answer
“honestly there’s really no specific place but i’ve always wanted go to venice, italy; everything there is absolutely beautiful: the building are colorful, there’s water taxis that take you through the whole town, and most importantly... the pizza” you said giggling
he looked at you with amazement as he quickly leaned down pressing his lips to yours
“can i be there?” he asks
“of course, i wouldn’t go without you”
i’m tagging @kesmonsterwrites because she inspired me to start writing! hopefully you like it! (╯3╰)

To the annon who requested this: I hope that you enjoy
Pairings: Regulus Black x Reader
Rating: M
_____________
“Y/n, Regulus Black has been looking at you for the past 10 minutes.”
You didn’t bother looking up from your potions book when your friend Anastasia spoke. The last thing that you wanted to deal with was Regulus Black and his stupid good looks.
“He needs to look somewhere else.”
You commented. Regulus Black had been staring at you a lot lately and it was beginning to get under your skin. Before a few weeks ago Regulus had nothing to do with you. It didn’t matter that the two of you had always been in the same house for the past 6 years or that the two of you had friends in the same circle. In fact, he took extra measure to not speak to you.
The best that you could come up with was he was uncomfortable with you going on a date with his old brother. Your heart hurt thinking about that particular time in your life. That was when you were an innocent sweet 4th year. Sirius dated you for all of a week before dumping you for some pretty Ravenclaw with blond hair and big boobs.
This was also the time that your depression really started kicking in. You weren't quite sure how to deal with all of the feelings swirling through your head. From dealing with your first break up to all of these dark and intrusive thoughts...you didn’t know how to cope. None of your friends seemed to understand either. A few of them chose to ignore what you were going through. The rest didn’t know how to deal with constant sarcastic comments. Now you had a few that stuck with you because it was in their best interest. If someone bothered them, you would chew the miserable fuckers ass out that caused them grief. This was a healthier outlet than sinking a knife into your arm.
Being at home was no better. Your mum tried to constantly get you off of the couch to do things but she didn’t seem to understand that you wanted nothing to do with whatever she was doing. Her words of…
“Stop lying on the couch like a giant hairball and do something. Go enjoy the day.”
Apparently you mother didn’t understand that you definition of “enjoying the day” meant being left the fuck alone.
That is one of the reasons that you preferred being at school. You could find peaceful places to be left alone.
Anastasia spoke again, pulling you from your thoughts.
“He probably thinks that you are pretty, Y/n. You really are a lovely girl.”
“Go get your eyes checked. Anna, I have as much luck with boys as a turtle does crossing the road.”
You muttered as the bell rang.
Not a moment too soon.
You thought as you stood to gather up your things. You were getting away from Anastasia and her mind numbing questions. Walking to the door you ran into a hard body.
Looking up, Regulus Black had turned around to just who the fuck ran into him. He blinked a few times the moment that your eyes met.
“Watch where you are going, Black.”
You hissed. Regulus automatically frowned.
“You ran into me.”
“So, you aren’t moving fast enough?”
You replied, not missing a beat. Regulus seemed a bit surprised by your comment. He wasn’t for sure why you were hostile toward him. In all of the years that he had known you, with the exception of year 1 and 2, you acted like he had personally fucked you over.
Regulus couldn’t help admitting that you were a lovely girl but your sarcastic hostile nature was a bit off putting. He had decided the year before just to avoid you at all costs. This year, however, he understood more about you. You were as depressed as he was. Regulus never understood it until this year.
Over the summer, Sirius ran off to James Potter’s abandoning his family. Regulus didn’t know how to put into words how he felt about it either. There was sinking in the middle of his stomach that never seemed to go away. It was there when he went to sleep at night and was waiting when he awoke the next morning. Regulus honestly never thought that he would be happy again.
He figured that returning to school would soothe those feelings. Regulus would be back with his best friends and would have no reason to think of Sirius. Unfortunately, the moment that he stepped into the great hall and saw his brother sitting at the Gryffindor table smiling and laughing. There was clearly no sadness in Sirius over the events of the summer. This sent Regulus into a deeper depression. His brother didn’t miss him and never would.
“You know most people just say excuse me and go on about their business.”
Regulus replied.
“Just get out of my way.”
You hissed and moved to get around him. Regulus honestly didn’t deserve your venom. He, after all, had done absolutely nothing to you.
He hasn’t done anything to you but you have no reason to trust him. Regulus will probably be just like his brother. You’ll get attached and have your heart broken.
You thought. It wasn’t fair to compare Regulus to Sirius when they were obviously such different people but you couldn’t help it. Most guys, no matter the house, was the same.
As you walked down the hall, you wanted nothing more than to have some time alone. You decided to walk down to the lake. A free period was just what you needed!
Sitting down, you took out a book and quietly began to read. It wasn’t until you were on paragraph two did you realize that someone was standing in front of you. Looking up, again your eyes met Regulus Black’s.
“What now, Black?”
You questioned. He put his hands on his hips feeling a bit annoyed. After the exchange in the potions, he decided that it was time for both of you to have a little chat.
“You and I need to talk.”
“Whatever about?”
You questioned as he sat down.
“I want to know why you hate me so bad?”
“I never said that I hated you.”
Regulus chuckled.
“Sure could have fooled me. You are always glaring at me like I personally offended you.”
You put your book down.
“I just don't like being oogled by some guy who is going to screw me over.”
Regulus raised an eyebrow.
“You don’t know me.”
“Yeah, I know your brother. All guys are the same so it doesn’t matter who you are.”
The response came out a little snipper than you planned. Standing up, you turned to storm back to the castle. Just who the fuck did Regulus think that he was? So what if he was a member of the Black family?
Woo-freaking-who.
“First, off you don’t know anything about me. I am nothing like my brother. If you would give me a bloody chance you would see that. I see what you are doing Y/n. I get it you use sarcasm and cold humor to cope. I do it too. As much as you want to come across as this tough girl who doesn’t need anyone, you're actually quite lonely…again I get it.”
You stopped before turning to face Regulus. He sat with his knees drawn to his chest. Dark eyes looked up at you with an intensity that you had never seen on his face before.
“I don’t like this, Regulus.”
He smirked.
“You don’t like someone figuring out who you are, Y/n. You don’t want people seeing that inside you are actually in pain. Again, I can relate.”
Regulus stood and walked down closer to the lake.
“My brother, who I know that you dated and I know he did you wrong, he abandoned our family over the summer. Now...everything is up to me. I am the only heir to the Black family. I have to do everything and I don’t fucking want to. I want to do whatever it is I want and there not be repercussions for my actions. However, that won’t be able to happen now.”
You frowned and watched him curiously.
“And why is that? Why can’t you just walk away? You’ll be an adult soon. Tell them to fuck off.”
Regulus laughed.
“If only it were that easy. You see my mother, she depends on me and I can’t let her down. If you knew my family, you would understand.”
You had heard plenty of rumors about the Black family. Regulus’ mother sounded like the typical pureblood mother. Maybe a bit darker than what your mother was but a pureblood mother all the same.
“I’m sure our families are very similar. Lovely bunch, purebloods.”
Regulus laughed bitterly at that. There wasn’t much that was lovely about being a pureblood when your mother was Walburga Black.
“Then you will understand why we have to do things that we don’t want to do. For example, being a death eater.”
“Regulus…”
He automatically pulled up his sleeve to show you the dark mark on his arm. Regulus wasn’t surprised when you made no facial expression. He had a feeling that you had seen your fair share of dark marks lately.
“My mother and father were okay with me doing it. Actually, they were quite proud that their son was doing the right thing...the just thing. I think I am too...at points. There are other times that I am not for sure. I see your face. You have the same expression. I bet you about 10 galleons, if you pull up your sleeves there are going to very similar cut marks...sometimes it gets too much.”
You looked down. For the first time, your tough exterior faded.
“You do it too...cut your wrists?”
Regulus nodded.
“Physical pain is better than mental pain, at times. Maybe we understand each other more than we thought?”
Your crossed arms slowly dropped to your sides.
“Maybe. We could also really hurt each other.”
Regulus’ hopeful smile fell.
“Or help each other. I don’t know what my brother did to you but I’m not him. Sirius and I have nothing in common except our last names. I mean, our last name is literally all that we have in common. You’ll get stupid bullshit with him. I’m on my A game. You wouldn’t have to guess what you were to me. All that you have to do is give me a chance. If it makes you feel better...I know where my brother is about this time of day and...well...sometimes Sirius isn’t so bright.”
You snorted.
“You could say that again. Fine, you have a chance. Don’t mess it up Regulus.”
Regulus held out his hand with a small smile. Something told you to be wary. The depressive side said, no but something deep inside of you said yes.
You reached out and wrapped your hand around Regulus’. He gave you a small smile before tugging in you with him.
“This is going to be funny.”
You slipped through quiet corridors behind Regulus as he checked for any “little eyes” that would get into his way. He finally stopped the moment that he saw Sirius and James standing in an empty hallway playing “exploding snap.”
Regulus lightly elbowed you in the side before grinning. He had his wand out and muttered something low. You weren’t able to make out what he said but it didn’t matter. It looked as if someone had a bucket of water and dumped it all over Sirius and James. Both boys jumped back looking around wildly as another explosion of water knocked them off of their feet. James hit the ground first. Sirius reached out to help his best friend only to get hit in the face with water for the third time. He was knocked off his feet and directly on top of James. His elbow crashing into James’ crotch. James howled in pain as Sirius started rubbing his head where he hit the stone floor.
“Pads, stop. You're killing me!”
James shrieked. Sirius was yelling about how truly sorry he was over and over.
You, meanwhile, had to hold back a fit of rare laughter. Regulus, himself, was grinning as he turned the floor to ice. Both James and Sirius were sliding all over the place all the while screaming curse words after curse words.
“Whoever you are! We are going to fuck you up!”
Sirius yelled as Regulus reached down and squeezed your hand.
“This is where we make our exit. They are going to be sliding around for a while.”
You ran after Regulus, until he pulled you into an empty classroom
“That was fun.”
He commented.
“Fucking brilliant. Watching them slide all over the place while looking like drowned ferrets was the best fun that I have had in awhile.”
Regulus smiled, giving you a cocky smile.
“That’s only the beginning. I have a lot better material...if you want to watch.”
You reached up and pulled the taller boy down by his tie. Regulus was clearly a bit surprised but leaned right into the kiss. When he pulled away, you tossed your hair over his shoulder.
“Watching is for babies. I want to help.”
