there's something really incredible about being able to witness women reclaiming their girlhood and girlish joy so unapologetically after being forced to mature in order to be taken seriously by men and society as a whole. I hope we can all continue to wear pink and make outfits for concerts and trade friendship bracelets and celebrate each other and dance freely with our friends to heal the parts of us that were abandoned prematurely to not be seen as silly.

returning to the jack & abigail dynamic: i'm imagining that after the first two or three times abigail drags jack home to have dinner with her family, hannibal pulls her off to the side like "are you sure this is the friend you want to make? :)" (<- is thinking about how Jack is allergic to using napkins properly and will wipe everything off with his sleeves) (he's not rude, he was just unfortunately raised by winchesters)

and she just crosses her arms and shoots back with "you get to keep will >:(" (<- knows she will get her way, partly because hannibal is going to give her what she wants, partly because if he doesn't, she's not above asking jack to do a little mindwiping.)

at which point, hannibal just has to accept that she's going to bring home a weird little guy just like he did.

"angel" has to be one of the sweetest, fondest, most loving pet names of all time. it's so tender and pure. it's on a different level than most other pet names.

yk i never really thought about it, but in high school, i can only imagine just how ryouta's bullying of others affected reo just by being his younger brother. even though reo hated what ryouta and kaito would do, he couldn't stop them and reo would receive hate by association since ry and kaito were so well-known in the community for being complete menaces. people would probably try to take their anger out on reo initially and try to bully him, but as soon as word got out of this, ry quickly unleashed hell and put an end to it and kaito would help him.

since they couldn't touch reo, they definitely went straight to ignoring his existence instead. isolated the hell out of him, shunned him... reo never had a real friend. the only friend he made was wren, who was a victim of kaito and ryouta. when he first met wren, he fully expects wren to blame him for his brother's actions and he awaits the anger that's he's gotten all but used to at this point, but wren, with a bright bruise on his cheek given by kaito, just smiles at him and says he's not at fault. he even offers to sit with him from time to time. they were never that close, but it's probably the first and only real friend he makes in high school. they would've stayed friends too if not for wren's addiction days that made them unfortunately lose touch after he graduates.

but reo still thinks about wren from time to time and wonders how he's doing. little does he know, wren actually forgave one of his former tormentors and completely saved his life.
