A few days ago my partner proposed the idea of Ginger and Jimmy Pesto's ex wife (Jimmy Jr, Andy, and Ollie's mom), being the same person.

And listen, I have been FIXATED ever since.

Have we ever seen Jimmy in the restaurant at the same time as Linda being on the phone to Ginger?

What if that's why Jimmy's such a dick to Bob, because Linda's still in Ginger's life but he isn't?

Ginger's hair and shirt colours are almost identical to Jimmy Junior and Andy, respectively.

Ginger has a partner and Jimmy Jr's museoem says "my mom's new friend Allen, is okay!"

Andy and Ollie's personalities overlap with Linda's so much, that comes from somewhere!

Linda's mystery red-headed friend in the Dreamatorium episode has an almost identical face to Andy and Ollie too! And as J-Ju looks exactly like his dad, it stands to reason that the twins would look like their mom.

Yellowfang’s Secret is getting redone into Brokenstar's Cataclysm. Much as I love Yellowfang, Brokenstar is getting suuuuper reduxed in BB and he needs to be the POV so I can tell his story. She has the opening and the rest is him.

What I want to set up in that opening, though, is at least a little bit of how hard people have made Yellowfang’s (Shroompelt at the time) life. Raggedstar isn't AS bad as he was, but their relationship was still pretty volatile. Sagewhisker pressured her into the role, just like canon.

I don't regret gutting YS though, to be honest. The original book is pretty freakin' miserable exactly because of Sage and Ragged, without any catharsis for how much torture the main character goes through. I think it works a lot better as an opening, thematically.

"Here's the culture which Brokenstar is being born into. See how his mother is absolutely miserable under this system, being forced to give up her child, pressured into her position. Happiness is offered between friends but there are deeper issues here that love won't fix."

So even though I'm pretty fascinated by Sagewhisker and think the fandom really sleeps on how terrible she is, I'm planning to use her as a minor but emotionally significant character.

And RAGGEDSTAR is going to be explicitly used as the father who Brokenstar loved very much, but someone he is willing to kill in the end. His enabling is also going to get exploited by Runningnose and his schemes. He's a major supporting character in a different way from YS.

So, my children were challenging me to name Pokemon today and as I was doing my best (their standards are very high!!), my husband blurts out "Ambassador Seaweed." After I got done laughing so hard that I fell over, he then hits me with "So...when he says his own name, is it Byakuya doing a funny voice, or does he just say it in Byakuya's regular voice?" I replied that of course it's in Byakuya's regular voice, Byakuya would never do a funny voice.

Now, in the Halloween episode, Wakame Ambassador is very much played by Byakuya's voice actor, but they're also Doing A Bit based on the Renji-Byakuya fight. Then I remembered that the Ambassador also appears in BBS, and based on this video, he does very much just seem to just have Byakuya's voice.

This is honestly so upsetting.

Kendis: I don't think Kendis looks like either but she looks more like Rook's side of the family. Strangely enough, a lot like his cousin. So much so that more crude family members would make jokes about Rebecca a nd one night stands [no one believed it ofc bc they knew how much Rebecca was into Rook].

Val: Favors Rebecca's side of the family. To Rebecca's annoyance, they look a lot like Rebecca's parents -- more her father.

Andy: Looks most like Rebecca [which has it's own issues. Because in certain ways he is most like her. But he also has the best relationship with her of all of mine. Andy = a study in masochism]

Pierre: I WANT to say Pierre looks like Rook most, but like was stated, I don't think she could tolerate that and they had a good dynamic. So maybe he looks like Rook's dad, enough that it is bearable -- but in certain lights .... but I also think he has enough Rebecca in him to offset. Maybe he's a mix. I think Pierre is one of those where makes a face and it's like OH THAT RELATIVE!
