Eric stopped right before MATS passed the ball for some reason. MATS makes these types of passes all the time to midfielders like Pedri/Bernal/Casado/Frenkie, I just don’t think Eric was used to playing in the midfield and he didn’t know to come towards the ball. Definitely isn’t completely Eric’s fault, just miscommunication and a genuine mistake.

Monaco’s second goal:

That was the rest of the defense’s fault because it was 1v1. If it’s a player vs the keeper, the player is expected to score.

Monaco’s first goal was definitely a huge mistake from MATS. I’m not saying he had a perfect game, because he definitely didn’t, but he can learn from this.
