Torres takes crucial pole for penultimate showdown
The Championship leader heads Casadei on the grid, with Ferrari sixth as yellow flags interrupt the shootout for pole in Barcelona. Jordi Torres (Openbank Aspar Team) found exactly what he needed in FIM Enel MotoE™ World Championship qualifying in Barcelona, taking pole for the penultimate round and turning the tables on closest challenger Mattia Casadei (HP Pons Los40) after the Italian topped practice. Andrea Mantovani (RNF MotoE™ Team) completes the front row, with Matteo Ferrari (Felo Gresini MotoE™) – currently one point behind Casadei – set to start sixth.
Yellow Flags out following a crash for Eric Granado (LCR E-Team) played a key role in Q2. The Brazilian found himself in Q1 after a crash in practice but comfortably topped the session to move through into the fight for pole. As he headed out of pitlane at the start of Q2 though, he suffered a strange crash at low speed that still flipped him over the highside. Rider a little winded but ok, but out of that fight for pole – and the Yellow Flags meant no one else could improve for some time either. Torres, who had hit early to take to the top, remained unchallenged even after the track was clear, with no one able to make any big improvements in the final couple of minutes. Still, Casadei is within a tenth, making it the top two in the standings ready to start top two on the grid. Mantovani alongside them will be looking to get in their way.
Kevin Zannoni (Ongetta SIC58 Squadra Corse) came through Q1 just behind Granado and heads Row 2, ahead of previous MotoE™ Barcelona winner Miquel Pons (LCR E-Team). Ferrari completes that second row, looking to move forward once the lights go out. The same is true of Granado as the Brazilian was left a frustrating P10 on the grid due to that early incident, despite his Q1 lap being two thousandths off front row speed. So that’s the grid(s)! On a super Saturday for MotoE™, Torres could clinch the crown. But with 15 points in hand it’s a long shot, and Casadei is perfectly position to try and cut that gap. Can he – and Ferrari – keep gaining ground?

NicoNote ''AN DIE UNERKANNTE / ALLA SCONOSCIUTA'' sturm und drang e attraversamenti romantici, per voce, poesia, elettronica
Sabato 19 Ottobre, ore 21 Teatro degli Atti, Rimini - Sagra Musicale Malatestiana AN DIE UNERKANNTE / ALLA SCONOSCIUTA Performance sonora per Voce, Poesia, Elettronica di e con NicoNote
Monologo sonoro.

See on Scoop.it - Les Colocs du jardin

waru is there anyone in particular youre rooting for in motoE!!
Hi Dante 👋
In MotoE is more like, who I'm not rooting for to be honest. But if I have to say some of my favourites in no particular order are Héctor Garzó, María Herrera, Andrea Mantovani and Nicholas Spinelli. I also like to keep an eye on Jordi Torres (he's the media favourite, he's a showman), Kevin Manfredi, Lukas Tulovic and Miquel Pons.
#Ask#Dante's tag#MotoE#Héctor Garzó#María Herrera#Andrea Mantovani#Nicholas Spinelli#Jordi Torres#Kevin Manfredi#Lukas Tulovic#Miquel Pons#Zaccone and Finello are also pretty okay#There's only 1 rider I don't like and we have been blessed that he isn't on the grid anymore

Spinelli takes stunning maiden win to sign off in style
A three-way fight for victory between Spinelli, Garzo and Casadei brings the curtain down on a classic season. Nicholas Spinelli (HP Pons Los40) rounded out the season in style in Race 2, making it a Pons team clean sweep of riders' crown, double on Saturday and teams' Championship as the squad prepare to bow out of World Championship competition. The Italian took his maiden win with the gloves off as he fought off both Hector Garzo (Dynavolt Intact GP MotoE™) and recently crowned Champion Mattia Casadei (HP Pons Los40), although the recently-crowned Champion still put a cherry on top of a dream weekend with another podium. With the Championship decided it was time for all-out war as a showstopping MotoE™ finale was on it's the way. The lights went out for the final time in 2023 and it was the Champion Casadei who held firm through the first sector to hold onto the lead, with Spinelli and Garzo glued to his rear wheel. Jordi Torres (Openbank Aspar Team) was in the mix as well as the Spaniard now had nothing to lose, but everything to gain with his sights set on a solid result to cap off his 2023 season. Right at the front though, Casadei dropped from 1st to 3rd in one fell swoop as Spinelli ducked under the Champion through the fastest sector on track, and Garzo quickly capitalised as well to barge his way through on the Italian. Spinelli led Garzo as the duo broke away from the pack ever so slightly with the laps ticking away. The Spaniard had a few cheeky looks up the inside, but Spinelli held firm... until Turn 1 on the final lap. Garzo pushed his way through but Spinelli answered back with some poetry to leave the two side-by-side... and then Casadei appeared.
He shot past both, but Spinelli wasn't accepting second in the final showdown of the season. He attacked again, Garzo took back over in second, and it was all down to the final sector. Spinelli kept it pinned to win in style, with Garzo holding off Casadei as the three staged another battle to remember. With all that, Andrea Mantovani (RNF MotoE™ Team) and Torres both tagged right onto the podium fight, and a small freight train formed. They completed the top five, ahead of Kevin Zannoni (Ongetta SIC58 Squadra Corse) and Matteo Ferrari (Felo Gresini MotoE™) after a tougher weekend on home turf. Tito Rabat (Prettl Pramac MotoE™), Miquel Pons (LCR E-Team) and Alessandro Zaccone (Tech 3 E-Racing) completed the top ten. Eric Granado (LCR E-Team) crashed out with Kevin Manfredi (Ongetta SIC58 Squadra Corse), riders ok. That brings the 2023 MotoE™ season to a close after a stunning year of competition. A new name on top, an incredible winning run and more history made is only the half of it as the electric series delivered some of the closest racing on Earth. But that's all for now - join us for more in 2024! For more info checkout our dedicated MotoE News page Or visit the official MotoGP website motogp.com Read the full article
