Commentaires sur le film Spinster

Faque j’ai écouté Spinster l’autre soir. Et je suis en train de le réécouter pendant que je suis en train d’écrire. J’ai envie de citer trop d’affaire. Donc un « live tweets » après la coupure.

Je suis sur que l’idée que c’est une comédie anti-romantique me vient des recommandations de la communauté aro que j’ai vu. Mais comédie anti-romantique définit bien l’histoire. Pour expliquer, dans une comédie romantique, le personnage principale commence le film en n’était pas bien seul et fini en était bien en couple. Dans Spinster, c’est le contraire, la personnage commence l’histoire en n’était pas bien en couple et fini bien seule. Au début (dans les premières 5 minutes) Gabby est la désagréable pessimiste qui rejette l’histoire de conte de fée de la future mariée. (Il manquait juste une marraine dans son histoire.) Et ce n’est pas parce que Gabby est seule à ce moment-là. Elle est en couple. Bon,  la joke est que son chum est en train de se pousser de son propre appart (l’appart est au chum). Et spoiler,  (genre, parce qu’après le début de ce paragraphe...) à la fin, Gabby choisit d’être célibataire et tout va bien pour elle maintenant.

Je crois que le père mérite une mention. Au début du film, il s’inquiète, de manière envahissante, de (l’absence de) la vie amoureuse de sa fille. Ce qui rend leur relation tendu. Par contre, au milieu du film, il semble être le premier à avoir compris que sa fille (avant elle) sera plus heureuse célibataire. Il ne sais pas encore comment bien si prendre, ça clashe encore un peu. Mais leur relation est en voie de guérison. Un peu plus tard, il se reprend et la relation est réparé.

Je ne sais pas trop comment décrire le sentiment sur les enfants dans le film, mais je suis resté avec l’impression que c’est un choix personnel. Gabby n’en veut pas et clashe avec du monde qui ne comprennent pas qu’elle n’en veut pas. Mais le reste du temps, les enfants ne sont pas diabolisés réellement. Amanda (l’amie de Gabby) est épuisé d’avoir les siens. Alex (le frère de Gabby) est le père divorcé qui n’écoute pas vraiment son enfant. Par contre, le perdu (à la fin du film) s’ennuie de ses enfants quand il doit aller les porter chez sa mère. Gabby qui accepte de s’occuper de sa nièce n’est pas inapte à la tâche. Une belle équilibre entre les positions extrémistes et modérées de chaque clan.

Il y a quelque chose avec la musique. Dans le sens qu’elle fait bien la job et elle est dure à remarquer consciemment. Dans le très agréable, et pouvons nous avoir plus de film comme ça : la musique quasi-absente lorsqu’il y a des dialogues! Ensuite, la sélection musicale améliore beaucoup le mood des scènes (et ça inclut les moments qu’elle est absente).

Conclusion, j’ai assez aimé le film pour apprécier ma deuxième écoute. Et je veux définitivement plus de comédie anti-romantique. C’est vraiment sympa d’entendre les clichés dans les bouches des « antagonistes » au lieu des « protagonistes ».

Le film a réussi a rendre sympathique la personne qui met fin à la relation.

- I’m a business owner. So… Kinda more focus on my career. - I’m a mom and a [medical specialist] - Oh cool, So I guest [medical specialist] is one of those careers where you can have kids. (même après plusieurs écoutes, je n’ai pas réussis à identifier la profession exacte...)

La « date », cheezy… Et inconfortable particulièrement quand Gabby veut que le gars parte, mais que le gars insiste pour rester.

Le rire qui est vraiment juste une toux.

Juste ark sur le couple anti-célibataire. Et particulièrement fuck le dude!

Le perdu est vraiment louche, même à la deuxième écoute.

L’absence de musique avec le perdu, ça sonne comme il n’y a même pas d’attirance.

Le perdu est un autre gars qui insiste pour rester avec Gabby quand elle lui suggère de partir.

Oh! La musique commence après un peu de chit chat.

Et la musique qui finit quand la randonnée finie (et que la relation finie parce que le perdu habite à l’autre bout du monde)
